Incoming e-mail, Re: CONFUSION??

Marilyn, you said>>> "Let's see. Maybe we can make a list of which feasts are HOLY GATHERINGS and which are not.''>>>

Marilyn, you seem to believe that any feast listed in Lev. 23 is the same as a commanded assembly/holy convocation...........how can you not read the text and see which days of which feasts are commanded assemblies and which are not???!!!!!!

Let me help you........for your most recent post is wrong and you need to read the below.........and then retract your error........that is, if you are honest.

Here is the text of Lev. 23 and I will highlight for you the words ''holy convocation'' which means a commanded assembly. The 14 of Nissan is not a holy convocation. How could you read the below and not see this?

Leviticus 23:1
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
23:2
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
23:3
Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
23:4
These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.
23:5
In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S passover.
23:6
And on the fifteenth * * day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.
23:7
In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. (NOTE PLEASE THAT THE ENTIRE ''FEAST OF UN BREAD'' IS FOR 7 DAYS , YET THERE WERE NO COMMANDED ASSEMBLIES/HOLY CONVOCATION EXCEPT STARTING WITH THIS DAY AND THE SEVENTH DAY) .........you do know don't you that 2 is not 7>? sorry to sound sarcastic but you have greatly erred in your post.

23:8
But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. NOTE, SO WE SEE CLEARLY THAT OF THE 7 DAYS OF UN BREAD ......ONLY THE FIRST AND LAST DAY WERE HOLY CONVOCATIONS. THAT WOULD BE THE 15TH AND THE 21ST DAY OF NISAN...........VERY CLEAR. The Feast of UB is for 7 days.........but the Holy Convocations are the 15th and 21st days of Nisan..........the First day of UB and the Last day.

Tell me you can SEE THIS?

23:9
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
23:10
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
23:11
And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
NOTE THERE IS NO COMMANDED ASSEMBLY FOR THE ''Feast of Firstfruits'' the Morrow after the Weekly Sabbath.
23:12
And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD.
23:13
And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.
23:14
And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame * * day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
23:15
And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
23:16
Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.
23:17
Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD.
23:18
And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young * * bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD.
23:19
Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.
23:20
And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.
23:21
And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. NOTE THIS DAY IS PENTECOST.......SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATED A ''HOLY CONVOCATION''.....
23:22
And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God.
23:23
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
23:24
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. NOTE THAT TRUMPETS IS A HOLY CONVOCATION.
23:25
Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
23:26
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
23:27
Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. NOTE THAT ATONEMENT IS A HOLY CONVOCATION.
23:28
And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God.
23:29
For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
23:30
And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
23:31
Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
23:32
It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.
23:33
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
23:34
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth * * day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD. NOTE THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES IS FOR 7 DAYS.........FROM TISHRI 15 TO TISHRI 21
23:35
On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. NOTE THAT ONLY THE FIRST DAY IS A HOLY CONVOCATION..........THE NEXT 6 DAYS OF THE FEAST ARE NOT.........NOT.........NOT DAYS OF HOLY CONVOCATION.

23:36
Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein. NOTE THE 8TH DAY OF TISHRI.........CALLED THE LAST GREAT DAY IS A HOLY CONVOCATION.
Now in case you missed it.................go back and read the number of times the phrase ''holy convocation '' is used............7 times.

SO HERE ARE THE DAYS OF HOLY CONVOCATION OF THE 7 FEASTS:

1. NISAN 15.....the first day of Unl. Bread......Jews also called this day the Passover
2. NISAN 21........last day of Unl. Bread
3. PENTECOST.......no day of month specified since it HAD TO BE COUNTED.
4. TRUMPETS..........TISHRI 1
5. ATONEMNT.........TISHRI 10
6 TISHRI 15..........first day of the 7 days of the feast of tabernacles.
7. TISHRI 22............EIGHT days after Tishri 15 counting inclusively........called the Last Great Day.

So there are 7 Feasts. And on those Feasts there are 7 days..........and 7 days ONLY of ''holy convocation''.

Please clarify this to your readers and correct your error.

You have mistakenly assumed that if any day is a feast day it is also a holy convocation.

You have erred.

My reply

JESUS WAS "OUR PASSOVER"

1Cor 5:7 says, "Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even CHRIST OUR PASSOVER is sacrificed for us".

JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED ON "THE PREPARATION OF THE PASSOVER"

John 19:14 says, "it was THE PREPARATION OF THE PASSOVER, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!"

JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED ON THE DAY BEFORE THE PASSOVER SABBATH

Mark 15:42 says, "when the even was come, because IT WAS THE PREPARATION (i.e., Nisan 13), THAT IS, THE DAY BEFORE THE SABBATH" (i.e., Nisan 14, Passover).

John 18:28 says, "Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but THAT THEY MIGHT EAT THE PASSOVER."

Luke 23:53, 54 says, "he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. And THAT DAY (i.e., Nisan 13) WAS THE PREPARATION, AND THE SABBATH (Nisan 14, Passover) DREW ON."

JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED ON THE DAY BEFORE THE "SABBATH DAY" THAT WAS "AN HIGH DAY"

John 19:31 says, "The Jews therefore, because IT WAS THE PREPARATION, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the SABBATH DAY, (FOR THAT SABBATH DAY WAS AN HIGH DAY [i.e., an annual Sabbath, a Feast day],) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away."

JESUS WAS "THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS IN THE HEART OF THE EARTH Mt 12:40 says, "as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS in the heart of the earth."

Nisan 13, Preparation of the Passover, Thursday, (day)
Nisan 14, Passover Sabbath, Friday (night then day)
Nisan 15, Unleavened Bread Sabbath, Saturday (night then day)
Nisan 16, Firstfruits Sabbath, Sunday (night)

SUNDAY WAS "THE THIRD DAY SINCE" THE CRUCIFIXION

Luke 24:21 says, "But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, TO DAY IS THE THIRD DAY SINCE these things were done."

Thursday, Crucifixion
Friday, 1st day since
Saturday, 2nd day since
Sunday, 3rd day since

THE WITNESS OF JOSEPHUS, A FIRST-CENTURY PHARISEE PRIEST

In Antiquities XI.IV. 8 Josephus said, "and they offered the sacrifice which was called THE PASSOVER, ON THE FOURTEENTH DAY OF THE SAME MONTH."

THEY WERE TO REST ENTIRELY ON EVERY FEAST DAY, ANNUAL SABBATHS

In Antiquities III. IX. 6, "Concerning The Festivals; And How Each Day of Such Festival Is To Be Observed," Josephus said, "They also slay three bullocks for a burnt-offering, and two rams; and fourteen lambs, with two kids of the goats, for sins; nor is there anyone of THE FESTIVALS but in it they offer burnt-offerings; THEY ALSO ALLOW THEMSELVES TO REST ON EVERY ONE OF THEM. ACCORDINGLY, THE LAW PRESCRIBES IN THEM ALL WHAT KINDS THEY ARE TO SACRIFICE, AND HOW THEY ARE TO REST ENTIRELY, and must slay sacrifices, in order to feast upon them."

> > 23:2
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

"THESE (plural, i.e., the ones about to be listed) ARE MY FEASTS"

Lev 23:4 says,
"THESE (plural) ARE THE FEASTS OF THE LORD, EVEN HOLY CONVOCATIONS, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons." .

The next verse, Lev. 23:5 says,
"In the FOURTEENTH DAY of the first month at even is the LORD'S PASSOVER."

The first in the list is THE LORD'S PASSOVER. "These" applies to all "THE FEASTS OF THE LORD, EVEN HOLY CONVOCATIONS."

> > The Feast of UB is for 7 days.........but the Holy Convocations are the 15th and 21st days of Nisan..........the First day of UB and the Last day.

> > Tell me you can SEE THIS?

HERE IS WHAT I SEE

Lev. 23:4 says,
"These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons."
The very next verse, Lev. 23:5, says,
"In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S passover."

To me, "These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations" applies to all seven feasts, of which Passover is the first in the list.

Luke 23:53, 54 says, "he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. And THAT DAY (i.e., Nisan 13) WAS THE PREPARATION, AND THE SABBATH (Nisan 14, Passover) DREW ON." Sabbaths are days of rest.

Verse 54 (LITV) says, "it was PREPARATION DAY, and a SABBATH was coming on."

Nisan 14, the Feast of Passover, was kept as a HIGH DAY, an annual Sabbath, a Holy Convocation, a day of rest.

Nisan 15, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, was kept as an annual Sabbath, a Holy Convocation, a day of rest.

Nisan 16, the Feast of Firstfruits, was kept as an annual Sabbath, a Holy Convocation, a day of rest.

Sivan 6 (c.), the Feast of Pentecost, was kept as an annual Sabbath, a Holy Convocation, a day of rest.

Tishri 1, the Feast of Trumpets, was kept as an annual Sabbath, a Holy Convocation, a day of rest.

Tishri 10, the Feast of the Day of Atonement, was kept as an annual Sabbath, a Holy Convocation, a day of rest.

Tishri 15, the Feast of Tabernacles, was kept as an annual Sabbath, a Holy Convocation, a day of rest.

In addition, the 7th day of Unleavened Bread was kept as a Holy Convocation, and the 8th day of Tabernacles was kept as a Holy Convocation. Agape

His reply, Re: CONFUSION??

No again. When the scripture says ''for that Sabbath was an High day''........what is means is this......''for that Sabbath (Weekly Sabbath) was (also) an High day.

The Sabbath Day is always is always the WEEKLY Sabbath.

So being wrong there the rest of your conclusions are also wrong.

Should we stop discussing this in order to remain friends?

My reply

I wanted to tell you that Rice-N-Shine is now called 24/7, and has more vitamins added. I had my first shake made with ONE SCOOP of 24/7 today, had a low blood sugar episode, so did not take one of my pills for Diabetes. ONE SCOOP of Rice-N-Shine instead of breakfast 5 days a week worked so well for Ed that he has eliminated all but one pill for Diabetes. He did take 5. His A1C is now 5.8 or 5.9, normal for non-Diabetics. Before he took Rice-N-Shine, it was 7.9.

We're friends, whether we agree or not, and we are supposed to stand up for what we believe. If you want to quit, that's fine. I understand where you got your training, and it isn't easy to think it might have been wrong in some cases.

> > The Sabbath Day is always is always the WEEKLY Sabbath.

That's not true. Feast days are Sabbaths too, and they are not spaced in multiples of 7 days apart. Tishri 1, 10 and 15 are Sabbaths.

TISHRI 1, FEAST OF TRUMPETS, IS A SABBATH, A HOLY CONVOCATION

Lev 23:24,25 says, "In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a SABBATH, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an HOLY CONVOCATION. Ye shall do no servile work therein".

TISHRI 10, THE DAY OF ATONEMENT IS A SABBATH

Lev 23:31,32 says, "Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. It shall be unto you a SABBATH of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: IN THE NINTH DAY OF THE MONTH AT EVEN, FROM EVEN UNTO EVEN, shall ye celebrate your SABBATH."

TISHRI 15, TABERNACLES, IS A SABBATH, AND THE 8TH DAY OF THE FEAST IS A SABBATH

Lev 23:39 says, "Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the FIRST DAY SHALL BE A SABBATH, AND ON THE EIGHTH DAY SHALL BE A SABBATH." Agape

From Five Doves site, Re: "Revelation 17"

Mary Hass (17 July 2009)
http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/july2009/daveh717.htm

I was reading in Revelation 17 this morning and I have always been intrigued with verses 8-11. I would just like to ask the Five Doves website writers what they believe these verses mean. Here are the verses I am referring to:

Revelation 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Revelation 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

Revelation 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

Revelation 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. Mary Haas

My reply

Maybe I can help you understand Rev. 17. Chapters 12 and 13 dovetail in places. Daniel also ties in.

"The beast" is Satan, the great red dragon. Mid-Trib, he will be cast out of heaven into the Earth, come up out of the Earth and as the tail of the great red dragon enter into the False Prophet, the son of perdition, the 7th head of the great red dragon.

Rev 17:11 says, "And the beast (Satan) that was (in Judas Iscariot, the 1st son of perdition), and is not (in man now), even he (Satan, as the tail of the great red dragon) is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition" (the False Prophet, the 2nd son of perdition). John 17:12 says, "While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but THE SON OF PERDITION (Judas); that the scripture might be fulfilled."

2Th 2:3 says, "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away (lit., departure, the Pre-Trib Rapture) first, and that man of sin (the False Prophet) be revealed, THE SON OF PERDITION".

Rev 12:9 says, "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and SATAN, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out INTO THE EARTH, and his angels were cast out with him."

Rev 17:3 says, "So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness (eremos, desert, at Babylon, Iraq): and I saw a woman (i.e., the end-time Mystery Religion of Babylon) sit upon a scarlet coloured beast (Satan), full of names of blasphemy (the supreme name of blasphemy is Pontifex Maximus), having seven heads (i.e., each one of 7 rulers is or was a Pontifex Maximus) and ten horns." The 6th and 7th Pontifex Maximus' have 10 kings associated with them.

The Pre-Trib Rapture of the Bride saints is associated with Rev. 17:14. It says, "he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and THEY THAT ARE WITH HIM are called, and chosen, and faithful".

The Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Tribulation saints is accociated with Rev. 18. Verse 4 says, "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."

Rev 12:9-17 says, "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down (Mid-Trib), which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them (i.e., the Bride of Christ and the martyrs of the 1st half of the Tribulation). Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time (the last half of the Tribulation). And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman (Israel) which brought forth the man child. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle (maybe a cargo plane of the USA like the lumbering C17s that are flown over our house when pilots are practicing touch and goes at March Air Reserve Base), that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place (Petra), where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time (last half of the Tribulation), from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood (Petra floods). And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant (Messianic Jews) of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

> > Revelation 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

AT THE TIME OF THE PRE-TRIB RAPTURE

1. Nimrod's Babel has fallen
2. Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon II has fallen
3. Media-Persia has fallen
4. Greece has fallen
5. Holy Roman Imperial Empire has fallen
6. Holy Roman Ecclesiastical Empire exists at the time of the Rapture ("one is")
7. The False Prophet's Babylon III, to which the Holy Roman Ecclesiastical Empire will move, has not yet come.

Vatican City will be burned by the 10 kings that reign over the 10 regions of the Earth. This will take place after the Pre-Trib Rapture, for at the Rapture, the 10 kings have not yet received their kingdom. Rev 17:12 says, "And the ten horns you saw are ten kings who have NOT YET received a kingdom, but will receive authority as kings one hour with the beast."

THE 10 KINGS WILL RULE OVER THE 10 REGIONS OF THE WORLD
1. North America
2. Western Europe
3. Japan
4. Australia, South Africa, and the rest of the market economy of the developed world.
5. Eastern Europe, including Russia
6. Latin America
7. North Africa and the Middle East
8. Tropical Africa
9. South and Southeast Asia
10. China

Here is how I understand Rev 17:10,11. It says, "And there are seven kings: five are fallen (kings over Babel, Babylon II, Media-Persia, Greece and the Imperial Roman Empire), and one is (the Pope, head of the Ecclesiastical Roman Empire), and the other (the false prophet, king over Babylon III) is not yet come; and when he cometh (Mid-Trib), he must continue a short space (1040 days, last part of the 2300 days of Dan. 8:13,14). And the beast (Satan) that was (in Judas Iscariot), and is not (in man now), even he is the eighth (the tail of the great red dragon), and is of the seven (influences them), and goeth into perdition" (i.e., the False Prophet is Satan possessed).

Rev 13:1-11 speaks of the beast and the false prophet. It says, "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast (Satan, the great red dragon) rise up out of the sea (people and nations, Rev. 17:15), having seven heads (Babel, Babylon II, Media-Persia, Greece, Holy Roman Empire, Holy Roman Ecclesiastical Empire, and Babylon III) and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads (all 7) the name of blasphemy (Pontifex Maximus). And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard (Greece, Dan. 7:6), and his feet were as the feet of a bear (Media-Persia, Dan. 7:5), and his mouth as the mouth of a lion (Babylon II, Dan. 7:4): and the dragon (Satan) gave him (the Pontifex Maximus) his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads (the 5th) as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed (i.e., the Holy Roman Empire was resurrected in the Holy Roman Ecclesiastical Empire): and all the world wondered after the beast (the Pontifex Maximus). And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast (the Pope)? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months (i.e., the first half of the Tribulation). And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven (the raptured Bride of Christ). And it was given unto him (the Pope that didn't get caught up to Heaven in the Pre-Trib Rapture) to make war with the saints (the Tribulation saints), and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations (i.e., he will head up the World Church). And all that dwell upon the earth (inclusing Muslims) shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. And I beheld another beast (Satan) coming up out of the earth (as in Rev. 12:9); and he (Satan) had two horns (2 comings to power) like a lamb (Christ), and he (the Satan-possessed False Prophet) spake as a dragon" (Satan, because he will be Satan possessed).

Hope this helps. Agape

Quarry used in Second Temple found in central Jerusalem

6/07/2009
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1098180.html

An ancient quarry dating back to the end of the Second Temple period has been uncovered in excavations being conducted in Jerusalem.

The quarry, around one dunam in area and estimated to be 2,030 years old, is situated on Shmuel Hanavi Street, just near Jerusalem's American Colony neighborhood. It is being excavated under the direction of Dr. Ofer Sion and Yehuda Rapuano of the Israel Antiquities Authority, prior to the construction of residential buildings.

Sion said that the size of the stones, at a maximum height of two meters, indicates that it was likely they were intended for use in the construction of King Herod's projects, including the Temple walls.
