Re: Joe Callaway (23 March 2011)
"RE: Bruce Warner"
I'd like to show you something from my studies on this...
Let's start with Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
As Christians we are imputed with the righteousness of Christ, clothed in His righteousness. See Romans 4:20-25 and also Romans 5:17-19. These people are naked, they are of the group Jesus spoke of in Matthew 7:21-23, these people think they are saved, and even quote works to Jesus. Jesus professes "I never knew you" yet Jesus knows His sheep. These people are not, nor ever was saved. Notice what Jesus is doing...
Revelation 3:20-21 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Jesus is actually standing outside of the Laodicean Church, and calling people to come out of it. Also, He makes a promise to the overcomers. How does one become an overcomer?
1 John 5:4-5 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
These Laodiceans are called lukewarm, because they're focused on carnal things, riches, goods, etc etc. Victims of the ecumenical movement and the so-called prosperity gospel, which in reality is another Gospel. See 2 Corinthians 11:4, and Galatians 1:8-9.
So those who do not repent and open their eyes to their true condition will of course go through the Tribulation, seeing how they're just as lost as the unbelievers. Thank you for your time.
...Let's put our heads together on this problem: are the Laodiceans true believers?
You said, "These people are not, nor ever was saved."
I am inclined to say the Laodiceans are true believers, just because I think that they have to be "in Christ" to be spewed out of his mouth, but let's look a little closer. Maybe I missed something. What do the scriptures say?
You mentioned Mt 7:21-23. It says? "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."
That just might not apply to the Laodiceans, because in Rev. 1:20, there are "SEVEN churches", not six. It says, "the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the SEVEN CHURCHES."
The number 7 means perfection and completion. When applied to the 7th church group, it speaks of completion. Granted, they are not yet perfect. They are just lukewarm, but they are a church.
Rev 3 specifically calls them a "church." Verse 14 says, "And unto the angel of the CHURCH of the Laodiceans".
Verse 22 says, "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the CHURCHES." That sounds like a good clue.
We get to the meat of the matter in verse 19. It says, "As many as I LOVE, I rebuke and CHASTEN (KJV, or "discipline" in the ISV; Gr. paideia, education, training, meaning correction by disciplinary measures): be zealous therefore, and REPENT."
Who needs just to repent? believers or nonbelievers? Nonbelievers need just to accept Christ. When they do, all their past sins are washed off the slate. Believers just need to confess their sins committed after they accepted Christ so God can forgive them, thus bringing all their sins under the blood of Christ.
I John 1:9 says, "If we (believers) confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Let's look at Heb 12:5. It says, "My son (a son of God, i.e., a believer), despise not thou the CHASTENING of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: FOR WHOM THE LORD LOVETH HE CHASTENETH"...
That fits the Laodiceans. Rev 3:19 says, "As many as I LOVE, I rebuke and CHASTEN: be zealous therefore, and repent."
There's a really good passage in Heb 12 that helps me understand our subject. Verse 5 says, "And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, MY SON, despise not thou the CHASTENING of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him".
Verses 6-10 say, "For WHOM THE LORD LOVETH HE CHASTENETH, and scourgeth every SON whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But IF YE BE WITHOUT CHASTISEMENT, whereof all are partakers, THEN ARE YE BASTARDS, AND NOT SONS. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they verily for a few days CHASTENED US after their own pleasure; but he FOR OUR PROFIT, THAT WE MIGHT BE PARTAKERS OF HIS HOLINESS."
If we are partakers of his holiness, the Holy Spirit, we are believers, are we not?
As I understand it, when we accept Christ as our own personal Saviour, our old sins are washed away and we are filled with the Holy Spirit.
Afterward, when we sin, the level of the Holy Spirit within us goes down. We are quenching the Holy Spirit. He doesn't leave us, but we are not filled either.
Scripture says for us to be filled, so we have to confess our sins to be able to receive that extra filling. If not obstructed by sin, it wells up within us like a fountain of living water.
John 7:38 says, "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." This extra filling of living water, or, as in the case of the foolish virgins, oil of the Holy Spirit, is what the lukewarm Laodiceans need.
To me, the wise-virgin Philadelphian's bodies are filled with the Holy Spirit. The foolish-virgin Laodiceans have some oil, but their lamps are sputtering and threatening to go out. Their vessels (i.e., bodies) are not filled with the Holy Spirit. The purpose of the Lord's chastisement is to wake them up so they can be filled. Those left behind at the First-Trump Rapture (Rev 4:1) can confess their sins and be picked up at the Last-Trump Rapture.
Rev 7:14 says, "These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."
The First-Trump Rapture seems to catch up the wise virgins before or during the first half of the Tribulation. The Last-Trump Rapture catches up the once foolish virgins that have become wiser on the last day of the Great Tribulation, when the Day of God's Wrath has arrived, but before the "Sword of the Lord" that is bathed in Heaven destroys Gog's army (Eze 39) and Babylon on the Euphrates (Rev 18:21).
Isa 34:5 says, "For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea (Edom), and upon the people of my curse (Babylonians), to judgment."
Isa 22:16-19 says, "What hast thou here? (Babylon) and whom hast thou here (the Satan-possessed False Prophet), that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here, as he (Satan) that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and that graveth an habitation for himself in a rock? (the asteroid Wormwood; Rev 8:11) 17 Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee. 18 He will surely violently turn and TOSS THEE LIKE A BALL into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house. 19 And I will drive thee from thy station, and from thy state shall he pull thee down."
I hope I haven't told you more than you wanted to know. One thing leads to another in Scripture, and I love following all the rabbit trails. I learn all kinds of things on the way to looking up something else. Agape
...So far, Israeli forces have had no success in tracking down the Hamas perpetrators of the vicious murders of five family members at Itamar on March 11. Considering the precipitous downturn in Israel's political and military situation and the ostrich-like reactions of its leaders, it looks very much as though Hamas is now dictating Israel's security agenda. HAMAS, BACKED TO THE HILT BY IRAN, SYRIA AND NOW EGYPT, FEELS IT CAN SAFELY INTENSIFY ITS WARFARE ON ISRAEL WITHOUT BEING SLAPPED DOWN.
...this action in Libya, 'Operation Odyssey Dawn,' is exactly 8 yrs ago to the day of the start of Iraq's 'Operation Iraqi Freedom.'
It's strange that it would be on the exact month and day. I wonder if Operation Odyssey Dawn is supposed to suggest that the Rapture will be at daybreak.
We sure seem to be getting close to the Rapture
Luke 21:25-36 says, "And there shall be signs in the sun (CMEs), and in the moon (the Perigee Moon), and in the stars (comet Elenin); and upon the earth DISTRESS OF NATIONS, with perplexity; THE SEA AND THE WAVES ROARING (the tsunami in Japan); 26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And WHEN THESE THINGS BEGIN TO COME TO PASS, THEN LOOK UP, AND LIFT UP YOUR HEADS; FOR YOUR REDEMPTION (apolutrosis, deliverance, i.e., the Rapture) DRAWETH NIGH.
Continuing: 29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree (Israel), and all the trees (other nations); 30 WHEN THEY NOW SHOOT FORTH (are they doing that now?), ye see and know of your own selves that summer (theros, heat, i.e., the Bible only mentions summer and winter, i.e. our spring, which started yesterday) IS NOW NIGH AT HAND. 31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, KNOW YE THAT THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NIGH AT HAND (i.e., the Rapture is nigh). 32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. 33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so THAT DAY (day of the Rapture, maybe April 6, anniversary of the Crucifixion) come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and PRAY ALWAYS, THAT YE MAY BE ACCOUNTED WORTHY TO ESCAPE all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."
Now, the Palestinians are on their own. Each Arab country is busy with its own crisis. From Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Yemen, Syria, Jordan, Somalia, Algeria, Lebanon and the Gulf states. For now, the Arab countries have put the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on hold.
Incoming e-mail, Re: THOSE 'LUKEWARM LAODICEANS' WHO ARE 'SPEWED OR SPIT' OUT OF CHRIST'S MOUTH
I believe that those 'lukewarm Laodiceans' who are 'spewed or spit' out of Christ's mouth at the 'moment of rapture' are immediately 'spewed or spit' directly into the 'time of the wrath of God' on earth which begins the second-half of the '70th Week of Daniel'. Come Lord Jesus!
As Psa 111:10 says, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom". The Laodiceans have a lesson to learn, but before we get into that, let's look at scriptures about the Day of God's Wrath.
It is ONE LITERAL DAY, not the 3.5 years of the Great Tribulation. It is one day like no other. It is the time of Jacob's Trouble. It is the day of the Second Rapture. It is the day of catastrophe. It is the day the asteroids of Rev 8:8-11 impact Earth. They do not hit the Earth every day for 1260 days. They hit Earth in one literal day, Jesus' Long Day.
It is a long day for the asteroid impacts turn the Earth upside down. It takes awhile for this globe to regain its equilibrium, so that will be a long day.
Joshua's Long Day was the type of Jesus' Long Day. His name is Joshua too from the Hebrew.
Re: Joshua's Long Day, Joshua 10:11 says, "And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron (meaning house of wrath), that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah (meaning strength of walls), and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword." Hailstones rain down on both Joshua's and Jesus' Long Days.
Of that day, Dan 12:1,2 says, "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, SUCH AS NEVER WAS SINCE THERE WAS A NATION even to that same time: and AT THAT TIME THY PEOPLE (i.e., the 144,000 Israelites) SHALL BE DELIVERED, EVERY ONE THAT SHALL BE FOUND WRITTEN IN THE BOOK. 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life".
That happens on one day, the day of Jacob's trouble.
Jer 30:7 says, "Alas! for THAT DAY is great, so that NONE IS LIKE IT: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it." That is the day of the Last-Trump Rapture when the 144,000 Israelites are caught up to Heaven.
If it is one day and no other day is like it, it cannot be a 3.5 year span of time.
Jesus' Long Day is the Day of God's Wrath. Rev 6:12,13 says, "And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; 13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. 14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?"
In Rev 7:4-14, we see that the 144,000 Israelites are caught up to Heaven that day along with a great multitude that cannot be numbered.
It says, "4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. 5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. 6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. 7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. 8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. 9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."
That last Rapture takes place before the 7 trumpets are given to the 7 angels in Rev 8, so it is after the Day of God's Wrath begins, but before the Wrath of God hits Earth.
The Laodiceans will be caught up on that day, just before the Wrath of God hits Earth.
Addressing the Laodiceans at the time of the first Rapture, Rev 3:19 (KJV) says, "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent."
The word translated chasten, or discipline, is paideuo, From G3816; to train up a child, that is, educate, or (by implication) discipline (by punishment): - chasten (-ise), instruct, learn, teach.
The Laodiceans will be taught a lesson.
Heb 12:5-12 says, "ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. 11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby."
We know that the Laodiceans do learn their lesson, for Rev 7:14-16 says, "These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat."
How do they wash their robes in the blood of Christ. They confess their sins to God so they can be forgiven.
1Jn 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Agape
Re: Two Raptures, or one Midweek at the second or last sound of a trumpet?
> > The last trump is the SECOND SOUND of a trumpet, which is blown. The previous (first) one is blown when the Lord Jesus DESCENDS from heaven (1 Thessalonians 4). We ASCEND at the second which occurs at our changing (1 Corinthians 15).
From: "The Doctrinal Thesis of Paul's Gathering at Midweek", By Carl Denson, preacher
I think we, the Bride of Christ, the wise-virgin part of the larger Body of Christ, will ascend at the FIRST TRUMP OF GOD, and that the Tribulation saints, the foolish virgins plus the remainder of the Body of Christ, will ascend at the LAST TRUMP OF GOD.
TWO TRUMPETS, TWO RAPTURES
The Lord often teaches by using types. One is in Num 10:2-4. The LORD told Moses, "Make thee TWO TRUMPETS of silver (two, because there are two Raptures); of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest USE THEM FOR THE CALLING OF THE ASSEMBLY (the 'general assembly' of Heb 12:23), and for the JOURNEYING OF THE CAMPS (plural). And when they shall blow with THEM (plural, i.e., both), ALL (as in I Cor. 15:51) the assembly (edah, congregation) shall assemble themselves (yaad, assemble, engage, betroth, i.e., assemble for the Marriage of the Lamb) to thee at the DOOR (symbol of a Rapture in Mt 24:32-34, Rev 3:8, 4:1) of the tabernacle of the congregation (moed, assembly for a definite purpose at a fixed time). And if they blow but with ONE trumpet, then THE PRINCES, WHICH ARE HEADS OF THE THOUSANDS OF ISRAEL (i.e., the 12 patriarchs, sons of Jacob/Israel), shall gather themselves unto thee."
This shows us who 12 of the elders in Rev 4:4 are, the 12 patriarchs of Israel. The other 12 elders seem to be the 12 apostles of Israel. They are the Representatives of the first group to be raptured, and they sit around the throne of the God/man Jesus Christ before the little book, the Title Deed of the Earth, is given to the Lamb of God, and therefore before any of its seven seals is broken in Rev 6.
How can we know that it is Jesus Christ sitting on the throne of God?
Rev 4:1-3 says, "After this I looked, and, behold, a door (symbol of a Rapture) was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. 2 And immediately I was (lit., became) in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. 3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper (first stone in the breastplate) and a sardine stone (last stone in the breastplate, then he is the first and the last, both YHWH king of Israel and YHWH of hosts, the Redeemer, Jesus Christ; Isa 44:6): and there was a rainbow (i.e., the rings of Saturn) round about the throne (on Saturn, the sapphire throne of Christ in Eze 1:26-28; sapphire means dear to the planet Saturn, from the Sanskrit Sani, Saturn and priya, dear), in sight like unto an emerald" (stone of Judah in the breastplate, i.e., Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah whose throne is on the third heaven Paul visited in II Cor 12:2-4, 1. Mars, 2. Jupiter, and 3. Saturn).
Rev 4:4 says, "And round about the throne were four and twenty seats (lit., thrones): and upon the seats I saw four and twenty ELDERS sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold." John is one of the 24 elders. He will be crowned and seated on his throne with the other 23 elders right after the First-Trump Rapture.
There are two Raptures and two times a trumpet is heard. The First Silver-Trumpet Rapture is in I Thess. 4:16,17 and the Last Silver-Trumpet Rapture is in I Cor. 15:51-54. In Revelation, the First-Trump Rapture is in Rev. 4:1 and the Last-Trump Rapture is in Rev. 7. It is on the Day of God's Wrath, Rev. 6:17.
Rev 7:14 says, "These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."
THE FIRST TRUMPET SAYS "COME UP HITHER"
Rev 4:1,2 explains, "After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a TRUMPET talking with me; which said, COME UP HITHER, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter (i.e., after the first Rapture). And immediately I was (lit., became) in the spirit".
THE FIRST RAPTURED SAINTS SING THE NEW SONG
The rest of the Bride-of-Christ saints are seen in Rev. 5:9. They are out of all nations, not just Israel. Of the saints, it says, "And they sung a NEW SONG, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation."
These saints out of every nation on earth are in Heaven in chapter 5 before the first seal on the Title Deed of the Earth is broken in chapter 6.
OF THE SECOND GROUP OF RAPTURED SAINTS, ONLY THE 144,000 iSRAELITES SING THE NEW SONG.
Rev 14:2-5 says, "And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a NEW SONG before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and NO MAN COULD LEARN THAT SONG BUT THE HUNDRED AND FORTY AND FOUR THOUSAND, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for THEY ARE VIRGINS. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are WITHOUT FAULT before the throne of God."
THE BRIDE OF CHRIST SAINTS WILL BECOME INCORRUPTIBLE AT THE FIRST RAPTURE AND IMMORTAL AT THE SECOND RAPTURE
At the time of the First-Trump Rapture, the Bride of Christ becomes incorruptible, but not immortal. At the time of the Last-Trump Rapture, ALL of the Body of Christ becomes immortal, including Paul.
There will be resurrection at the time of the Rapture. 1Cor 15:42 says, "So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption". Therefore, it looks like at the time of the First-Trump Rapture all Bride-of-Christ saints will become incorruptable.
Concerning the Last-Trump Rapture, 1Co 15:51-53 says, "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but WE (every saint, including Paul) SHALL ALL BE CHANGED, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, AT THE LAST TRUMP (i.e., at the Second Rapture): for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and WE SHALL BE CHANGED." For this corruptible must put on INCORRUPTION, and this mortal must put on IMMORTALITY."
There are three ranks in the First Resurrection, Christ, Bride-of-Christ saints, and Tribulation saints.
The saints caught up in the Last-Trump Rapture are seen in Heaven in Rev. 7:9,14. It says, "After this I beheld, and, lo, a GREAT MULTITUDE, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands...And he said to me, THESE ARE THEY WHICH CAME OUT OF GREAT TRIBULATION (i.e., the last half of the Tribulation), and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."
The Bride of Christ, the first group to be raptured, is in Heaven before the first seal is broken (Rev 4:1; 5:9; 6:1f). The second group is raptured after the Day of God's Wrath has begun (Rev 6:17; 7:9,14; 8:1f). Examine these scriptures. There is no scriptural way these two Raptures can both be part of the same Rapture event. Both the Bride of Christ and the Tribulation saints are part of the Body of Christ and make up the First Resurrection.
I Cor 15:23 (LITV) says, "But each in his own order (tagmati, rank): Christ (Feast of Firstfruits, 30 AD), the firstfruit (i.e., the First-Trump Rapture); afterward those of Christ at His coming" (the Last-Trump Rapture, when they see the Sign of the Son of Man in the sky on the Day of God's Wrath).
Jas 1:18 (KJV) says, "Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we (the Church) should be A KIND OF FIRSTFRUITS of his creatures."
Of the 144,000 Israelites among the great multitude of Tribulation saints that we can't count, Rev 14:4 (KJV) says, "These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the FIRSTFRUITS unto God and to the Lamb."
DAY OF GOD'S WRATH
Of the Day of God's Wrath, Rev 6:15-17 says, "And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from THE FACE OF HIM THAT SITTETH ON THE THRONE, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great DAY OF HIS WRATH is come; and who shall be able to stand?"
SIGN OF THE SON OF MAN
In the Sign of the Son of Man seen in the sky on the Day of God's Wrath, they will see Christ sitting on his throne.
Mt 24:30 says, "And then shall appear THE SIGN OF THE SON OF MAN IN HEAVEN: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and THEY SHALL SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN with power and great glory."
They will see the Sign of the Son of Man on the Day of God's Wrath, but Christ will not actually arrive for 7 months, during which Israel will bury the dead to cleanse the land (Eze 39:12,13).
CALLING ALL SAINTS TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN HEAVEN
Of the day of the second Rapture, Heb 12:22-24 says, "But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the GENERAL ASSEMBLY and church of the firstborn, which are written IN HEAVEN, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant".
Of that day of the GENERAL ASSEMBLY in Heaven on the first day of Christ's Millennial Kingdom, Mt 24:31 says, "And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of HEAVEN to the other."
These elect are the Bride of Christ group that were caught up to Heaven in the First-Trump Rapture. They are gathered, from one end of Heaven to the other, to the General Assembly in Heaven on the Day of the Lord, the first day of Christ's millennial rule.
THE FIRST TRUMPET SOUNDS TWICE, THE LAST TRUMPET SOUNDS ONCE
The first trumpet sounds once on the day of the FIRST TRUMP RAPTURE and once ON THE DAY OF THE SECOND-TRUMP RAPTURE on the Day of the Lord at the end of the Great Tribulation. At the FIRST TRUMP, they will be taken to Heaven. At the SECOND SOUNDING of that same trumpet, they will be gathered to the General Assembly in Heaven.
On that same day, the SECOND TRUMP will sound to rapture the Tribulation saints.
Mark 13:27 says, "And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the EARTH (to gather the Tribulation saints) to the uttermost part of HEAVEN" (to gather the Bride of Christ saints).
THE FIRST AND SECOND RAPTURES ARE AS THE DAYS OF NOAH, THE SECOND RAPTURE IS ALSO AS THE DAYS OF LOT
Luke 17:26 says, "And as it was in the days (plural) of Noe, so shall it be also in the days (plural, there are two) of the Son of man."
Of the second Rapture, Luke 17:28-37 says, "Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed (they will see the Sign of the Son of Man in the sky). In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. Remember Lot's wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. I tell you, in that NIGHT there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is (the Body of Christ is in Heaven), thither will the eagles (Tribulation saints) be gathered together."
In the early type of a Rapture, Ex 19:4 says, "Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself."
There are two Raptures, one for the wise-virgin Bride of Christ on the Day of Christ, and another for the Tribulation saints on the great and terrible Day of the Lord which is also the Day of God's Wrath. Agape
