It's a good thing it was not aimed directly at Earth. It is the biggest explosion I have ever seen on the Sun. Surely it is a sign.

"LET US REMOVE HENCE" WAS HEARD ON PENTECOST
By Marilyn Agee, posted 5-10-2011
In 66 AD, there were signs seen and heard by the priests at the Temple. They applied to events coming in 70 AD, but one just might also apply to the Rapture today.
"LET US REMOVE HENCE" WAS HEARD ON PENTECOST
In Wars 3, Josephus, a first century Pharisee priest, said, "Thus there was a STAR (20) resembling a sword, which stood over the city, and a COMET, that continued a whole year. Thus also before the Jews' rebellion, and before those commotions which preceded the war, when the people were come in great crowds to the feast of unleavened bread, on the eighth day of the month Xanthicus, (21) [Nisan,] and at the ninth hour of the night, SO GREAT A LIGHT shone round the altar and the holy house, that it appeared to be bright day time; which lasted for half an hour. This light seemed to be a good sign to the unskillful, but was so interpreted by the sacred scribes, as to portend those events that followed immediately upon it. At the same festival also, A HEIFER, as she was led by the high priest to be sacrificed, BROUGHT FORTH A LAMB in the midst of the temple. Moreover, THE EASTERN GATE of the inner (22) [court of the] temple, which was of brass, and vastly heavy, and had been with difficulty shut by twenty men, and rested upon a basis armed with iron, and had bolts fastened very deep into the firm floor, which was there made of one entire stone, was seen to be OPENED OF ITS OWN ACCORD about the sixth hour of the night. Now those that kept watch in the temple came hereupon running to the captain of the temple, and told him of it; who then came up thither, and not without great difficulty was able to shut the gate again. This also appeared to the vulgar to be a very happy prodigy, as if God did thereby open them the gate of happiness. But the men of learning understood it, that the security of their holy house was dissolved of its own accord, and that the gate was opened for the advantage of their enemies. So these publicly declared that the SIGNAL foreshowed the desolation that was coming upon them. Besides these, a few days after that feast, on the one and twentieth day of the month Artemisius, [Jyar,] a certain prodigious and incredible phenomenon appeared: I suppose the account of it would seem to be a fable, were it not related by those that saw it, and were not the events that followed it of so considerable a nature as to deserve such signals; for, before sun-setting, CHARIOTS AND TROOPS OF SOLDIERS IN THEIR ARMOR WERE SEEN RUNNING ABOUT AMONG THE CLOUDS, AND SURROUNDING OF CITIES. Moreover, at that feast which we call PENTECOST, as the priests were going by night into the inner [court of the temple,] as their custom was, to perform their sacred ministrations, they said that, in the first place, they felt A QUAKING, AND HEARD A GREAT NOISE, AND AFTER THAT THEY HEARD A SOUND AS OF A GREAT MULTITUDE, SAYING, "LET US REMOVE HENCE." But, what is still more terrible, there was one Jesus, the son of Ananus, a plebeian and a husbandman, who, four years before the war began, and at a time when the city was in very great peace and prosperity, came to that feast whereon it is our custom for every one to make tabernacles to God in the temple, (23) began on a sudden to cry aloud, "A voice from the east, a voice from the west, a voice from the four winds, A VOICE AGAINST JERUSALEM and the holy house, a voice against the bridegrooms and the brides, and a voice against this whole people!" This was his cry, as he went about by day and by night, in all the lanes of the city."
These were signs of the destruction that was coming in 70 AD, but just maybe one sign heard then was also a sign that the First-Trump Rapture will take place on Pentecost.
Josephus said, "Moreover, at that feast which we call PENTECOST, as the priests were going by night into the inner (court of the temple), as their custom was, to perform their sacred ministrations, they said that, in the first place, they felt a QUAKING, and heard A GREAT NOISE, and after that they heard a sound as of a great multitude, saying, "LET US REMOVE HENCE." (Wars 6.5.3).
The great noise could represent the FIRST TRUMP, AND "LET US REMOVE HENCE" could represent the First-Trump Rapture on Pentecost.
1Th 4:16-18 says, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a SHOUT, with the VOICE OF THE ARCHANGEL, and with the TRUMP OF GOD (all of that is noise): and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
In 66 AD, it looks like Pentecost was being kept on Sunday, the way the Sadducees taught. They controlled the activities at the Temple and the calendar until the Temple was burned in 70 AD. The Pharisees changed Pentecost to Sivan 6 after the Temple was burned in 70 AD.
Pentecost Sunday this year is next Sunday, June 12, 2011. I sure hope that will be the day of the First-Trump Rapture.
Remember the ram that was sacrificed instead of Isaac? According to Jewish tradition, the left ram's horn is blown on Pentecost, and the right ram's horn is blown on Trumpets. I think the Last-Trump Rapture of I Cor 15:51-54 will be on the Feast of Trumpets, so we have a good chance that the First-Trump Rapture will be on Pentecost Sunday.
Prior to Hillel II, the month of Nisan (now always 30 days) could be 29 or 30 days. That fact alone kept Pentecost from being a fixed calendar date. I think we have to count the 50 days from the Saturday Sabbath that follows Passover. In any year, that Saturday will fall somewhere within the 7 days of Unleavened Bread, Nisan 15-21.
The Feast of Unleavened Bread was not actually called a Sabbath in Scripture. It was an annual Sabbath when no work could be done though. That was understood, but not stated.
I think the true Pentecost, Feast of Weeks, Firstfruits of Wheat Harvest, should be counted the way the Sadducees counted it, from the Saturday Sabbath following Passover. It falls on Sunday.
Ex 34:22 says, "And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest".
Maybe the barley harvest represents the dead in Christ, and the wheat harvest represents the living in Christ. Between Firstfruits and Pentecost, barley is harvested. The spring wheat harvest starts on Pentecost, the “Feast of the Harvest”. The two loaves baked with leaven were made of wheat flour.
Here is a picture of spring wheat being harvested in Israel on April 28, 2008.
I Cor 15:20 says, "But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become THE FIRST FRUITS OF THOSE WHO HAVE FALLEN ASLEEP."
On Firstfruits and on Ascension Day, Jesus may have taken a group of the saved that came up out of their graves to Heaven. The Omer of barley flour counted each day from Firstfruits to Pentecost could represent the dead in Christ being raised. The wheat harvest might represent the living saints. The Omer was counted from Ascension Day to Pentecost, so it seems to show that there will be both dead and living saints caught up to Heaven on Pentecost.
1Th 4:16,17 says, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
Eph 4:8-10 says, "Wherefore he saith, WHEN HE ASCENDED UP ON HIGH, HE LED CAPTIVITY CAPTIVE, and gave gifts unto men. 9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
De 16:9-10 says, "Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou beginnest to put the sickle to the corn (barley). And thou shalt keep the FEAST OF WEEKS (Pentecost) unto the LORD thy God"
Lev. 23:15-17 says, "And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath (Saturday), from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering (Sunday): seven Sabbaths shall be completed. 16 Count fifty days to the day (Sunday) after the seventh Sabbath (Saturday); then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord. 17 You shall BRING FROM YOUR DWELLINGS TWO WAVE LOAVES (probably representing Jews and Gentiles) of two-tenths of an ephah. They shall be of fine flour (wheat flour); they shall be baked with leaven (baking kills the leaven). They are the FIRST FRUITS to the Lord."
James_1:18 says, "Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that WE should be a kind of FIRSTFRUITS of his creatures."
The barley sheaf was cut on the edge of town the evening before Firstfruits, even when it was the Sabbath. In 30 AD, that was Saturday evening, the Sabbath. So the seven weeks were counted from Saturday, and Pentecost was the Sunday following the 7th Saturday.
Leviticus 23:15-17 says, "And ye shall count unto you from the morrow (Sunday) after the sabbath (Saturday), from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering (Sunday); seven sabbaths shall be complete: Even unto the morrow (Sunday) after the seventh sabbath (Saturday) shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. Ye shall BRING OUT OF YOUR HABITATIONS two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour (WHEAT FLOUR); they shall be baken with leaven; they are the FIRSTFRUITS unto the LORD." The leaven would have been killed during baking, a good picture of saints whose sins have been forgiven.
According to Jewish tradition, the Lord gave Israel the Law at Mt. Sinai on Pentecost by his voice, accompanied with thunder and with TRUMPETS blasting (Ex 19:20).
We know that the Holy Spirit descended on the Church on Pentecost (Acts 2:3). Will Pentecost this year be the day of the First-Trump Rapture? Will those wise virgins with enough oil of the Holy Spirit rise up to meet Jesus in the air that day? It seems our best bet now.
According to Strong's Concordance, the weekly Sabbath and Atonement are 7676, shabbath. The annual Sabbaths are 7677, shabbathon, so there is some difference.
Intensive from H7673; intermission, that is, (specifically) the Sabbath: - (+ every) sabbath.
occurs 107 times
a sabbatism, a special holiday, rest, sabbath
occurs 11 times, 8 translated rest, 3 translated sabbath
Ex 16:23 with Strong's numbers says, "And he saidH559 untoH413 them, ThisH1931 is that whichH834 the LORDH3068 hath said,H1696 TO MORROWH4279 IS THE RESTH7677 OF THE HOLYH6944 SABBATHH7676 UNTO THE LORD".
The Sadducees kept a Sunday Feast of Firstfruits, and a Sunday Pentecost. That seems correct.
In Ant 3.10.6, Josephus said, "When a week of weeks has passed since this sacrifice -- these weeks comprising forty-nine days -- on the fiftieth day, which is called by the Hebrews Azartha, meaning "fiftieth" (pentecostin), they BRING TO GOD a loaf made of two assarons of WHEAT FLOUR, with leaven. For sacrifices they bring two lambs".
in Ant13.8.4, Josephus said, "that festival which we call Pentecost, did then fall out to be THE NEXT DAY TO THE SABBATH." That's Sunday.
In Leviticus 23:15-17, the word is explicitly "Sabbath" (shabath), and not "week" (shabua). So "the morrow after the Sabbath" is Sunday.
I think the Christians fleeing to Pella before the Temple was burned in 70 AD were motivated by the sign in the Temple when, on Pentecost, voices said, "LET US REMOVE HENCE" (Wars 6.5.3).
In John 4:32-38, Jesus said, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.” 33 Therefore the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?” 34 Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. 35 Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! 36 And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. 37 For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.”
Jesus said the fields are already white for the harvest. He may have meant don't look to the harvest in the fall. Pentecost is four months before the Feast of Trumpets. Pentecost was the beginning of the spring wheat harvest, not summer wheat harvest. That spring harvest had been planted at seedtime in the fall.
Of the Last-Trump Rapture Mt 13: 36-43 says of Jesus, "His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.” 37 He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. 39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the END OF THE AGE, and the reapers are the angels. 40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be AT THE END OF THIS AGE. 41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom (which probably will start on the Feast of Trumpets in 5776 (Sept 14, 2015) all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun IN THE KINGDOM of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"
Why did Paul say in 1Cor 16:8, "But I will stay IN EPHESUS UNTIL PENTECOST, for a wide DOOR for effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries"?
Door is a symbol of the Rapture (Mt 24:32-34; Rev 3:8; 4:1). Will Heaven's door be opened to us on Pentecost? I hope so.
