This is the first part of Marilyn Agee's newest, pro and con #282 (deleted)
She periodically finds that words or phrases that she is typing into her computer come out in all caps when she does not have the caps lock or the shift key down. She believes that they are emphases that the Holy Spirit makes in her typing. There have been around 20 or so incidences of this in the past 3 years. My prior computer also did something along the same lines. When I would type Lord, meaning Jesus, the letters would all change into caps after I had finished typing the word. When I was typing just plain Lord, it never changed. It caused a wierd sensation since I could not explain it.
I've kept track of Marilyn's spontaneous caps, and so far none of the phrases that came out in caps have been proven incorrect. If she has interpreted this last Caps incident correctly then it would appear that whenever the rapture of the bride of Christ appears, it will be on some Friday, but possibly a Friday in Jerusalem. That might be Thursday here in America, given the 7 or 8 hour time difference, or Saturday in Japan, etc, with their time differences. Her association of the rapture of the church, the Bride of Christ, with the creation of Eve taken from Adam's rib on a Friday is interesting. JK
P.S.: In re: this email, another thought. Israel as a nation was "raised from the dead" on May 14, just as the dead in Christ might be resurrected from the dead. That is a great correlation. Jean
Incoming Email Re: Time Between Pentecost and Start of "Jacob's Trouble"
I pray that YOU are doing well and that Ed is getting over his bronchitis speedily!
Just a few questions for you that I was thinking about during this past week:
l. Why would there have to be a time span of a year or more between the rapture and start of Daniel's 70th week? Those TEN kings could be set up overnight if necessary!
I mean - what if all these UFO alien encounters are a part of this scenario? The Christians could be zapped out - BLAM-M-M! Then down comes Satan and his angels cast out of [the 2nd heaven where he is now roaming freely!] in space craft NO LESS! And the WHOLE world will go AFTER him and worship him with his promises of peace, ending disease by miracles of healing....etc....etc. This could happen literally overnight!!! There would be no need of a year or two interval, which means if you are right about Jesus' return in 2007 or 2008 - the rapture would not be until 2000 or 2001 [and I certainly hope that it is not delayed until then!!], but according to you calculations, this could be so.
2. Marilyn, you say many times that we have a "clean slate" when we get saved and thereafter when we sin - we have to confess our sins to Jesus for forgiveness. We have to Keep "our feet clean". However, when Jesus died on the cross for me - ALL MY SINS WERE FUTURE SINS, Marilyn! I agree that we need to confess our sins and our faults one to another, but ALL of my sins have already been covered by the blood of the lamb. It is to stay in fellowship with our Heavenly Father that we confess our sins to Jesus. They have already been forgiven. You are still putting an element of WORKS into the picture to qualify for the rapture and I don't agree. My daughter is 13. She is very much a part of her world of school, homework, friends, etc. and I don't expect her to get too caught up in things like the Rapture and the 2nd Coming - though she believes in both [as a matter of fact, she followed the Lord in Believer's Baptism last May 17th!] -- However, I do not believe that the fact that my 13 year old is NOT following end time events as avidly as her mom is [me!] means that she is going to get left behind at the Rapture, yet your posts indicate that you believe this to be so. What if she forgets about some sins somewhere that she forgets? What if she intends to confess them with her evening prayers, is involved in a car wreck or something, is unconsciousness several days and the rapture takes place and she's never had a chance to confess those sins she intended to say that evening? Does this mean that she gets stuck --left behind, comes out of her coma and finds that - to her horror - she's MISSED it because she didn't make it to her evening prayers that night? I just don't buy this. Yet, this is what you are stating in your P & C. And HOW much of the Holy Spirit is ENOUGH? How are we to know? Can we ever KNOW for sure? Does this mean, we live in fear and dread until the time of the rapture not knowing if we'll be included? I don't think that our Bridegroom intended this either.
3. It occurs to me when you speak of the Jewish wedding and Esther's purification for a year, etc. - there is much mention about waiting 12 months to be certain that the Bride isn't pregnant and is indeed a virgin. Marilyn - WHY do you suppose it is that all through the Bible there is so much emphasis placed on women being pure, virgins on their wedding day [i.e. the bloody cloth given to the "friend of the Bridegroom" outside the Chuppah as evidence of her virginity - etc.!] --- yet in all this --- there is NOT ONE thing ever mentioned about the MAN? The woman has to PROVE she's a virgin, but no one seems concerned at all about how many women the man has been with before the ceremony! Why do you suppose this is? Men don't have to prove a thing - as a matter of fact, he's never even questioned!!! yet if a man even suspected his wife was not a virgin, she could be stoned. Never mind how many women the man defiled before he ever reached his wedding day - right??? Where in the world is the logic in all this? Now we KNOW that our heavenly Bridegroom is Holy and Pure, but let's face it, those Jewish men were just as human as the ones running around in the 20th century! what "gives" with all this concern about a woman's "purity" and "virginity" and not one iota of screening the man's background. If you think about it - the same thing used to happen in rape cases [before it was stopped and rightly so!] - the woman was put on trial for her past sexual history, yet the man [who was accused of assaulting her in the first place] did not have to give details of his past intimate life. Never ceases to amaze me!!! In His Abiding Love, Your Sister in Christ!
My reply > I pray that YOU are doing well and that Ed is getting over his bronchitis
He is feeling better now that the extra water is getting out of his system, but Dave has a terrible cold and fever. He said, "It is a bad one. You don't want it." I had sore throat last night. Dave is scared for me because I get pneumonia sometimes. Hope Ed does not catch it. I'm going to get some more echinacea today after Cardiac Rehab. In the meantime, we are taking lots of Vit. C.
> Re: Time Between Pentecost and Start of "Jacob's Trouble"
The time of Jacob's trouble is one day, the day of catastrophe, the 2300th day of the Tribulation.
> l. Why would there have to be a time span of a year or more between the

The World GOVERNMENT MUST SET UP ITS LEADER AND ELECT THE TEN KINGS. The wheels of governing bodies don't usually work overnight. (I didn't mean to capitalize that. It just happened.) The temple must be there. That will take some time too.
> I mean - what if all these UFO alien encounters are a part of this scenario?
What if they are not? Jesus went to Heaven and back in less than one day on Resurrection Day. When he and his disciples were in a boat out on the sea of Galilee, suddenly they were at the other side (Jn. 6:21). Gabriel came to answer Daniel's prayer in about five minutes (Dan. 9). The devil took Jesus to a high mountain and showed "him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time...And he brought him to Jerusalem, and let him on a pinnacle of the temple...And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee" (Lu. 4:5,9, 14). Do you really think space craft are necessary? They seem much slower than would be necessary to cover about 793 million miles twice in less than one day.
> if you are right about Jesus' return in 2007 or 2008 - the rapture would
> not be until 2000 or 2001
It is possible. However, the time to get the temple constructed is getting tight right now. Also, the main time clues pointed to 1998. Why?
> You are still putting an element of WORKS into the picture to qualify for

What PRIZE was Paul working for? Why was there a possibility of him becoming a "castaway"? You know his salvation was not at stake. So what else could there be? In Phil. 3:14, Paul said, "I press toward the mark for the PRIZE of the HIGH CALLING of God in Christ Jesus." I think that "high calling of God" is the Rapture. In I Cor. 9:24f, Paul said, Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the PRIZE. So run that ye may obtain....Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible....I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." Rev. 3:11 says, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown."
> What if she forgets about some sins somewhere that she forgets? What
> if she intends to confess them with her evening prayers
I John 1:9 takes care of sins we forget. Read it carefully. "If we confess our sins (known ones is all that is possible), he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, AND to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness." If we confess known sins, he will cleanse us from all the rest.
> And HOW much of the Holy Spirit is ENOUGH? How are we to know? Can
> we ever KNOW for sure?
We are not told how much Holy Spirit we need to make it in the Rapture. Jesus is the judge standing at the door. It is up to him, and he is fair and just. However, Scripture says to be filled with the Holy Spirit. That is the safe way. We also do not have to wait for evening prayers. We can say a silent prayer, anywhere, anytime we realize that we just committed a sin.
> Does this mean, we live in fear and dread until the time of the rapture not
> knowing if we'll be included? I don't think that our Bridegroom intended this
Of course not, if we confess as we commit a sin, there is no need to worry.
> WHY do you suppose it is that all through the Bible there is so much emphasis
> placed on women being pure, virgins on their wedding day
Because it is a type of the Bride of Christ. Christ himself is already perfect.
> what "gives" with all this concern about a woman's "purity" and
> "virginity" and not one iota of screening the man's background.
Are you questioning the wisdom of God? I'm not. These things are types. Remember that the Bride of Christ is made up of both males and females. The ten virgins represent both male and female. Paul was a man, and he was keeping under his body so as to not be a castaway. When a male confesses his sins, he is AS (figurative language) a pure virgin just as much as a female is. Agape
Incoming Email I was just reading your webpage, and I had a few questions for you in the process. I, too, am a christian, and have been so for about 10 years now ( I'm 20 years old). I have no doubt in my mind that I belive in Jesus Christ, but I have doubts that he believes in me (do you understand what I mean?) I do not feel as though I am as close to Him as I could be, but I cannot figure out how to bridge the gap.
Enough about me...I found your page to be very interesting...I have never heard of the word "rapture", I have read revelations many times, but always thought of it as the end to a new beginning...that's why i was a littel confused when I read about the "rapture"..anyway, I interpreted the Bible to say that only a certain number of people (is it 12,000 form each tribe?) will be saved...is that possible? Maybe I am interpreting it wrong ( in Revelations..) Also, how on earth did you figure all that stuff out about the exact date when Jesus would come back? After reading it, it all seemed to be logical and fit together...BUT Jesus said, " I will come like a thief in the night..." Therefore, I don't think we are supposed to know...right? thanks you for your time
My reply > I do not feel as though I am as close to Him as I could be, but I
> cannot figure out how to bridge the gap
It is a matter of getting rid of the sin barrier between ourselves and our Holy God so we can get back in fellowship with him. To walk in the light is to live in fellowship with God. Sin interrupts. Confession restores fellowship. Immediate confession keeps us in fellowship. When we sin, we are quenching the Holy Spirit in us. The level goes down. When all our sins are brought under the blood of Christ, the Holy Spirit wells up in us like a fountain of living water.
First John 1:5-9 explains: "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM,, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have FELLOWSHIP ONE WITH ANOTHER, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
> I interpreted the Bible to say that only a certain number of people
> (is it 12,000 form each tribe?) will be saved...is that possible?
In the first Rapture, a group "out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation" (Rev. 5:9) are taken to Heaven. In the second Rapture, "a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues" are caught up to Heaven. This latter group includes the 144,000 Jews.
> how on earth did you figure all that stuff out
> about the exact date when Jesus would come back?
Israel back in the land and growing leaves (Sinai, West Bank, Gaza Strip, Golan Heights) in the Six-Day War of 1967 fulfilled the fig tree parable in Mt. 24:32-34 and taking Jerusalem fulfilled Luke 21:24. The fig tree parable said that "when ye shall see all these things (Israel back in the land, still young, no more than 19, summer being near) know that it (the Rapture) is near, even at the doors (symbol of the Raptures, Rev. 3:8; 4:1).. Verily I say unto you, This generation (that saw these things begin to come to pass) shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."
A generation is 40 years. In Mt. 23:36, Jesus told the Pharisees that all those things would fall on "this generation." They did, in 70 AD, just 40 years afterward.
1967 + 40 = 2007 (Jewish 5728 + 40 = 5768). Tishri 1, 5768, the Feast of Trumpets, is the end of the age, the end of the 2300-day shortened Tribulation, the Day of God's Wrath, the first day of the millennial Day of the Lord--all this on Earth. In Heaven there is Christ's Coronation, the Marriage of the Lamb, the Judgment Seat of Christ and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
There are seven Jewish months between the catastrophe on Tishri 1 and the Second Advent on Nisan 1 (Ezek. 39:12).
Ezek. 29:17 sets the day of the Second Advent--"the first month, in the first day of the month" (Nisan 1). Then verse 21 tells us that "In that day will I cause the horn (king) of the house of Israel to bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth (Logos, Word) in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD (YHVH)."
> I will come like a thief in the night..." Therefore, I don't think
> we are supposed to know...right?
I Thess. 5:1-11 is a companion passage to the Rapture passage in I Thess. 4:13-18. Both end with comforting one another with the words. Chapter 4 ends with "the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore COMFORT one another with these words."
There was no chapter break in the original. Chapter 5 continues the same message. Notice that two groups (we/ye/us/brethren and they/them) are spoken of. "BUT of the times and the seasons, brethren (believers), YE have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord (Tishri 1, 5768, Sept. 13, 2007) so cometh as a THIEF in the night (2300th day of the Tribulation). For when THEY (the people in the Tribulation) shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon THEM, as travail upon a woman with child; and THEY shall not escape. But YE, brethren (believers that can be caught up before the Tribulation), are NOT in darkness (the Day of God's Wrath is a day of thick darkness, Joel 2:1-3), that that day should overtake YOU as a THIEF. YE are all the children of light, and the children of the day: WE are NOT of the night (Tribulation), nor of darkness (the Day of God's Wrath). Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but LET US WATCH and be sober. For THEY that sleep sleep in the night (Tribulation); and THEY that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let US, who are of the day (not of the Tribulation), be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the HOPE OF SALVATION (including the "blessed hope" of escaping the Tribulation). For God hath NOT appointed US to wrath, but to obtain SALVATION by our Lord Jesus Christ. Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, WE should live together WITH HIM (John 14:2). Wherefore COMFORT yourselves together, and edify one another."
In Rev. 3:3, Jesus said, "If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a THIEF, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee." If we do watch, he will not come on us as a thief, and we shall know what hour he will come upon us. Do you know when he comes as a thief? near Armageddon (Rev. 16:15,16), on the Day of God's Wrath just before the seven trumpet judgments are cast on Earth.
There is one way in which Christ comes as a thief at the first Rapture. Mt. 24:42-45 says, "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman (minister) of the house (church) had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore BE YE ALSO READY: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them MEAT IN DUE SEASON?"
Incoming Email Well, ok. Saying that there is a 40 year length for a generation; AND this is the greatest time allowed for the prophecies to be fulfilled the first time (rather than within say, 70 or 80 years, which also occurred) and that this will be identical to the maximum length of the last generation until all things occur (by the end of the Tribulation); then one other factor must be considered: what constitutes the BEGINNING of the generation??? It would be a silly mistake on your part to ignore all the major prophetic authors on the subject; such as Hal Lindsay; who indicated that the generation which you mention began with the 1948 restoration of Israel as a nation. Well, on came 1988 and obviously, we were still here; and the Tribulation hadn't occurred--and even the 50 year stretch which he proposed came to pass in 1998. So, we look at the other verses surrounding this about the vine and fig trees. Now, of course this could have occurred in the past; and it would have been within the generation when Israel became a nation if we were raptured in the early 1980's or before; and when we weren't I am aware of at least some people who were really surprised and turned away from God. Well, anyway; whether you are familiar with this "disappointment" years ago or not; we have another disappointment possibly coming if we don't look to ANY other possibilities for the BEGINNING of this 40 year period. Perhaps the third sign of the beginning of this generation could be upon us now. Israel becoming the World Capitol of commerce. Israel is just beginning to discover its natural resource potential and preparing to put them to use in full measure. If we allow for cooperation and peace for a time between Arab and Israeli interests for ECONOMIC well- being; well, the almighty buck so to speak may very well be the beginning of the endtime clock for Israel (of course, preceded by the other 2 things; Israel becoming a nation again, and Jerusalem being an Israeli controlled city again). It must be remembered that nearly every conflict in the world today is centered on this principle of economic importance primarily. Why else would an event such as Somalia with the WORST firefight since VIETNAM for our soldiers be so woefully minor; so scantily covered in comparison to the Iraqi conflict; for instance????
Well, how much time do we have; I mean until the Tribulation would begin according to your numbers; about 2 years and 8 months I guess. Well, time goes by fast. Anyway, I learned to trust God in praising His name when ill this week; and in turn a stranger took a kind turn to me when I needed help getting some stuff out of the car. This was after I wondered if angels would take care of me when ill if no one else could. Kind of neat, I would say.
Anyway; I just don't want to stop fighting. I mean, I have to do the best career wise; even in the short months or years left if indeed time is that short-because what I am doing now is not much more than paid slave labor. Should I not continue to look for better work??
Finally, I don't want to make any statements seem IRON clad to my family NONE of whom are believers. If Jesus doesn't rapture me in the next couple years (unless I die first); I will have to answer to all of them. Same for you.
Well, I'm outta here. Thanks for listening; I understand if you don't want to write back. My letters aren't what you want to hear. Not the cat either; she is continually coming up to the table nudging my hands away from the keyboard and crawling on the darn thing. In Him
My reply I don't know if we will get a 7-day warning, but Noah did, so maybe we will. As to what it might be, I don't know. Seven days before the 21st would be May 14. It's the anniversary of the RESURRECTION of Israel. That could be significant. Wonder if the dead in Christ will begin to be raised at that time. There are a lot more dead in Christ than we who remain alive. Will a symbolic loading of the Ark begin? Will the resurrected go up into the clouds two by two? Gen. 7:10 says, "And it came to pass AFTER SEVEN DAYS, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth." The Lord will come as the rain (Hos. 6:3). That would fit Christ coming for the living saints. Do you suppose this Rapture operation could take 40 days? Jesus ascended after 40 days in 30 AD. The rain fell 40 days in Noah's day. Food for thought. We'll just have to wait and see what happens May 14-21. Watch the news. It could be very interesting.
> what constitutes the BEGINNING of the generation???
When Israel grew leaves in the Six-Day War in 1967. I wrote Hal Lindsay after his first book came out and told him. He paid no attention then, but finally came around to believing it.
> we have another disappointment possibly coming if we don't look to
> ANY other possibilities for the BEGINNING of this 40 year period.
There isn't any way of rerolling history. The first time Israel grew enduring leaves was in 1967. It doesn't matter what happens after that. The Six-Day War was the first time. She took the rest of Jerusalem too, fulfilling Lu. 21:24. There is no way to change that either.
> Well, how much time do we have; I mean until the Tribulation would begin
> according to your numbers; about 2 years and 8 months I guess.
On the Jewish calendar, it will be exactly two years from Pentecost in 1999 to The Feast of Weeks/Pentecost that starts the Seventieth Week of Daniel in 2001. That is plus 74 days from now to Pentecost, about 2 1/2 months.
> Should I not continue to look for better work??
Yes. Jesus said to occupy until he comes. To me, that means to lead a normal life.
> If Jesus doesn't rapture me in the next couple years
> (unless I die first); I will have to answer to all of them. Same for you.
I didn't have any trouble with family last May. My faith is so strong nothing can faze it anyway.
Sounds like your cat is trying to get your attention. Hands that are typing are not available to pet a cat.

A friend told me on the telephone last night that he heard Pastor John Hagee say on television the night before that he knew exactly where we are on God's clock!
He said, "We are already in the ark and the door is about to shut."
