Here is the stuff that has put fear in some families. Not hope.

Rapture: The Last Trump And The Second Coming Of Christ 2-26-03

"A vital well documented Word based and grounded in truth message to those who love the truth and fear God of being sent a "strong" delusion, because they loved not the truth enough to be taught it. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-11; Isaiah 66:4; Isaiah 30:9-10. Rosemary LaVigne

***I DON'T THINK IT IS "grounded in truth." There are two Raptures, Pre-Trib and Pre-Wrath. II Thess 2:10,11 is not talking about either. It is talking about the UNSAVED, "because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved." This passage has to do with the "strong delusion, that they (the unsaved) should believe a lie" of the wicked one, the False Prophet, during the Great Tribulation. This scripture does not apply to the saved at all. It is about "them that perish."

***Isa 66:4 is not talking about the saved, either, "because when I (the LORD) called (saying, 'Come up hither, Rev. 4:1), none did answer." In verses 7 and 8, we can see the two Raptures. It says, "BEFORE she travailed (i.e., before the Tribulation), she brought forth (i.e., at the Pre-Trib Rapture); BEFORE her pain (i.e., the Tribulation) came, she was delivered of a man child (the Body of Christ, i.e., the Church). Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? (those that saw Enoch [type of the Pre-Trib Rapture] and Elijah [type of the Pre-Wrath Rapture] go up). Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed (at the end of the shortened Great Tribulation), she brought forth her children." First, 144,000 Messianic Jews and a great multitude that no man can number will be caught up in the Pre-Wrath Rapture. After that the whole nation will be born in a day. These will live on Earth during the Millennium.

***Isa. 30:9,10 is addressed to Israelites "that take counsel, but not of me (the LORD); and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit" (v. 1). Then aren't they covered with an evil spirit? This is talking about unsaved people. V. 9 says "this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD." It has nothing to do with the saved members of the Church.

Rapture: The Last Trump And The Second Coming of Christ, By Mark Watson

The Pre-tribulation Rapture is not a sound and unassailable theological position. The preponderance of evidence that the translation of the saints and the second coming of Jesus Christ are one and the same event is extensive. I know many of you have been taught to believe in a pre-tribulation rapture by a plethora of biblical prophecy teachers and scholars. The following paragraphs will explain why, as much as I want to believe in a pre-tribulation rapture, the scriptures clearly indicate when the translation of the saints will occur. But first let me explain why this topic is so very important.

What you believe affects how you live. If you earnestly believe that you will not go through the last seven years of extreme trouble commonly referred to as the Great Tribulation, then you will not make any preparations spiritually or physically. If on the other hand you know (or even suspect) you will be here, then you will prayerfully and constantly seek Christ’s wisdom and guidance and LIVE BY FAITH. It is my considered opinion that God loves us all, even the most hardened sinner. But he will not be mocked at judgment day. We saints of God who sincerely want to do God’s will must do what Christ tells us to do, even if it means receiving ridicule and scorn, and having ‘Christians’ separate themselves from us. For many of us this means to live simply and humbly. Others have been called to exhort and teach while others are to minister according to Gods good graces. We, who are among the saved, must claim Gods promises including the ones Jesus made such as “In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer I have overcome the world.” ( John 16:33b) This is an (uncomfortable) promise the Son of God makes to his followers. If you are a true Christian, it applies to you. The necessity of enduring to the end and of the leading astray, if possible, even the elect takes on an entirely new meaning if the Church is to here during the tribulation and the reign of anti-Christ.

***Jesus didn't give us anything to do to prepare for the Tribulation. Why? because the Philadelphian Church is not going to go through any of the Tribulation. The Pre-Trib Rapture is clear to those whose minds are not closed to it. None is so blind as those that won't see, even when told.

Additionally, it must be stated here that other than the doctrine of the first coming of Christ, his death and resurrection and Messiahship, the doctrine of the Second Coming of Christ is the most important doctrine in scripture, in short it is the final act in God's promise of redemption. The return of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, to save his Church, the true Israel and heirs to the promise is the single most important doctrine in the Bible, with the possible exception of Christ's bodily resurrection. In short it is the consummation of the work of Jesus Christ. So how can any believer say, 'It isn't important', or 'it will all come out in the wash' or 'we'll know when he comes'?That was the mistake the Jews made when Christ came the first time and THEY WERE REJECTED FOR NOT KNOWING THE IME OF THEIR VISITATION. Jesus told us to watch, over and over again he warns us to watch. How are we to know what to watch for? The answer to that is in the scriptures, in the writings of the Prophets and in the Messiah's words. This is a critical doctrine, because if you do not get this right, you will be as a man looking towards the east, when all the things he should be watching for are in the west. Remember, the Jews during Christs time, were hell-bound and eventually wound up hating and murdering the Christ who came to save them because they did not expect him to do the things that he did at the time that he did them. They wanted someone who would restore the kingdom of David and rid them of Roman Dominance without really turning towards God and doing the things that he commanded them to do. Today, believers want Christ to come to save them from the reign of Antichrist and severe persecution without the true repentance and more importantly the complete submission to Christ's Lordship (obedience) that leads to true salvation. In short, they want to fly away. Yet the scriptures clearly teach something very different. Lay hold of this, it is very important.

***Faith in Christ is what saves us. He takes us as we are. We don't have to go through an obedience period to get there.

The rapture of the saints cannot occur until the last trumpet is sounded. “Behold I show you a mystery we shall not all sleep but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, at the last trump, for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed. (1 Cor 15:51,52). This gives the timing of the rapture

At the last trump.

***The trouble is, he obviously thinks the last trump will be at the Second Advent of Christ. If that were true, all the saved would have to not only go through the Tribulation, but go through the Day of God's Wrath. But, that isn't so. 1Th 5:9 says, "God hath NOT APPOINTED US TO WRATH, but to obtain salvation (soteria, RESCUE) by our Lord Jesus Christ." THE RESCUE PRECEDES THE WRATH. The Second Advent will be 7 months after the Day of God's wrath. Israel will bury the dead bodies 7 months (Eze. 39:12,13).

***The 7 judgment trumpets are sounded by angels. The "trump of God" (I Thess. 4:16) sounded at the 1st Rapture is sounded by God, not angels. The "last trump" (I Cor. 15:51-53) sounded at the 2nd Rapture is when the Tribulation saints join us in Heaven just before the 7 trumpet judgments (all sounded by angels) hit Earth on the Day of God's Wrath. V. 52 plainly says, "we shall be changed." This is when we put on immortality, after the 2nd Rapture, when the whole Body of Christ is complete. The two Raptures are like the two legs of the Body of Christ. One foot is born into a new world a bit before the other foot. It's like climbing Jacob's ladder. One foot goes up before the other.

Let’s see what else the scripture says about this, “For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the LORD himself shall decend from heaven with a shout with the voice of the Archangel and with the Trump of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air and so shall we ever be with the LORD. (1 Thes 4:15-17)

The time table is the same:

The trumpet.

***It is the "trump of God," not the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth or seventh of the 7 judgment trumpets sounded by angels. The last trump of God sounds before the angels sound the 7 judgment trumpets.

The Dead in Christ shall be raised. The remaining saints translated

Paul tells the Church that we the remaining, still alive believers will not precede those saints who had already died in the LORD. My goodness, how much more clear can you get!? Brothers and sisters, this doctrine is no real mystery. It is not complicated, it is not hidden deep in obscure verses to be interpreted in a strange and new way. It is in plain black and white so plain that any honest, literate, spirit-filled Christian can see for themselves. Unfortunately that is the extreme minority of Christians in America. Far too many are listening to the false shepherds of Babylon.

***Read I Thess. 4:13-18. The dead in Christ will accompany Christ as he comes at the first Rapture. The dead in Christ, asleep in Jesus, will get their resurrection bodies. Then we will be caught up with them and taken back to Heaven. V. 18 says, "Wherefore COMFORT ONE ANOTHER WITH THESE WORDS." Only a Pre-Trib Rapture could comfort us. Finding out that we had to face the Tribulation would not be comforting at all.

Paul warned the Thessalonians, “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and [by] our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. (2Th 2:1-4)

***This passage is about "OUR GATHERING TOGETHER UNTO HIM" at the Pre-Trib Rapture. The "day of Christ" in the KJV should have been "day of the Lord," as it is in almost all major manuscripts. The Thessalonians were not to think that the Day of the Lord was near. If the millennial Day of the Lord was near, the Pre-Trib Rapture would already be past history.

***The first day of the millennial Day of the Lord follows the revealing of "that man of sin" the False Prophet. It also follows Elijah's 1260-day stay on Earth. Isa. 66:6,7 says, "Before she (Israel) travailed (i.e., BEFORE THE TRIBULATION), she brought forth (in the Pre-Trib Rapture were many Messianic Jews); before her pain (Tribulation) came (i.e., PRE-TRIB), she was delivered of a man child (the Body of Christ). Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion (i.e., Israel) travailed (in the Day of God's Wrath), she brought forth her children" (the Pre-Wrath Rapture, before noon, Zeph. 2:3-5).

Here is a stern warning from the Apostle. He categorically states with regard to
1. The coming of the LORD
2. Our Gathering unto him

He warns us not to let any man deceive you BY ANY MEANS (by a secret return of the LORD). Yet the modern American teachers have found a means. They simply say that there is another 'secret coming' or a 'secret gathering' that that Paul isn't talking about. Christ warned us about those who teach of a secret return of the LORD and told his disciples exactly how he was going to come, suddenly for all to see and hear.

***The Pre-Trib Rapture will not be secret. Psa. 40:1-3 says, "I waited patiently for the LORD (as we are doing today); and he inclined (bent down) unto me, and heard my cry. HE BROUGHT ME UP (in the Pre-Trib Rapture) also out of an horrible pit (as Jeremiah was pulled up out of a miry pit), out of the miry clay (Earth), and set my feet upon a rock (Heaven), and established my goings. And he hath put a new song (sung by the saints after the Rapture, Rev. 5:9) in my mouth, even praise unto our God: MANY SHALL SEE IT (the Pre-Trib Rapture), AND FEAR, AND SHALL TRUST IN THE LORD." These will be caught up later, in the Pre-Wrath Rapture.

Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, [he is] in the secret chambers; believe [it] not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Mat 24:26-27)...

***He is in the desert refers to the False Prophet, therefore it has no bearing on the Pre-Trib Rapture. Mt. 24:15 to 31 brackets the Great Tribulation. As it begins, the False Prophet places the idol, the abomination of desolation, at the temple. He sits there "shewing himself that he is God" (II Thess. 2:4) as the shortened Great Tribulation begins. V. 31 is at the end of the shortened Great Tribulation. In it, all those in Heaven, including those raptured before the Tribulation begins, are called to the general assembly in Heaven (Heb. 12:23). At this assembly in Heaven, Christ will be crowned King of kings and Lord of lords, the Tribulation saints will be gathered (at the Pre-Wrath Rapture), the Marriage of the Lamb will take place, and the Judgment Seat of Christ will reward all saints in Heaven while all unbelievers on Earth receive the 7 trumpet judgments.

***Rev. 11:18,19 says, "And the nations were angry (Gog's army is attacking Israel), and THY WRATH IS COME, and the time of the dead, that they should be JUDGED (at the Judgment Seat of Christ in Heaven), and that thou shouldest give REWARD unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; AND shouldest destroy them which destroy the EARTH. And the temple of God was opened IN HEAVEN, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament (in it were 2 stone tablets, and at this time, 2 stone asteroids hit Earth, Rev. 8:8,10; the broken law brings death): and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail."

***Mark 13:27 shows the Tribulation saints being gathered before the trumpet judgments hit Earth. This is the Pre-Wrath Rapture. It says, "then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the EARTH (the Tribulation saints) to the uttermost part of HEAVEN (those that were caught up in the Pre-Trib Rapture)."

What does Jesus say? “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the shall the sun be darkened and the moon shall not give her light and the stars shall fall from heaven and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then shall appear the sign of the son of man in heaven and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet and they shall gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matt 24:29-31)

***The Sign of the Son of Man will be seen in the sky after the 6th seal is broken, BEFORE the 7th seal releases the 7 trumpet judgments. Rev. 6:15-17 says, "the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne (in the Sign of the Son of Man in the sky), and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great DAY OF HIS WRATH is come (first day of the millennial Day of the Lord); and who shall be able to stand?"

Jesus said after the tribulation. And again we see the angels are present and the sound of a Trumpet.

***He said, "IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION OF THOSE DAYS SHALL THE SUN BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON SHALL NOT GIVE HER LIGHT, AND THE STARS (aster, i.e., ASTEROIDS) SHALL FALL FROM HEAVEN." This takes place after the 6th seal is broken in Rev. 6:12, and before the 7th seal releases the 7 trumpet judgments in Rev. 8.

The book of revelation identifies when the LAST trumpet sounds. There are seven trumpets which sound in the book of revelation and the last one is very different from the first six.

The First trumpet - fire hail and blood were thrown to earth. The Second trumpet - a great “mountain” was cast into the sea. The Third trumpet - a great star fell from heaven. The Fourth trumpet - the sun moon and stars smitten. The Fifth trumpet - the key to the bottomless pit opened, locusts released The sixth trumpet - Four powerful angels released to slay one-third of men.

***Civilization as we know it will be destroyed. The globe will be turned upside down. The dead will lay around the Earth. Every wall will fall in the worldwide earthquake (Eze. 38:20). The cities of the nations will be destroyed. And he thinks the saints have to go through this? I don't think so. We are saved from wrath. He should believe it.

Then there is a long description of events which take place BEFORE THE SEVENTH AND FINAL ANGEL SOUNDS his trumpet.
1. An angel declares the mystery of God is finished1. (The seven thunders)
2. There should be no more delay.
3. The temple of God is measured.
4. God’s two witnesses prophesy for 1260 days (who says there are no more prophets!)
5. The two witnesses shall be killed in Jerusalem.
6. The two witnesses shall be caught up to heaven.
***The two witnesses will prophesy the first half of the Tribulation, be killed by the False Prophet Mid-Trib, and be resurrected and caught up to Heaven 3.5 days later (Rev. 11:3-12).

But at the seventh trumpet;
1. The kingdoms of the Earth become the kingdoms of God and Jesus Christ
2. The nations are angry at Jesus Christ
3. The Judgment of the dead is at hand
4. The reward of Gods servants is at hand.
5. Time for Christ and his servants to destroy those that destroy the earth.

***Most will have already been destroyed by the asteroids of the 2nd and 3rd trumpet judgments.

Indeed these verses how there is an excellent possibility of a pre-wrath rapture. Consider that the DAY of the LORD begins with his wrath. And that on that day many, many things begin to happen, perhaps too many to fit into a single solar day.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2Pe 3:8)

I do not want to take liberties here for this subject is not so clear, but it is quite possible that the Last Day (Day of the LORD) that begins with God's Wrath, is the actually the beginning of the last thousand year reign also known as the millennium. This is food for serious thought for after the last trumpet sounds, the rulership of the planet changes hands and many many things transpire.

6. The time of God’s wrath has come.

***I agree that the Day of God's Wrath is the first day of the millennial Day of the Lord.

The First Resurrection

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection - Revelation 20:4-5

This is a most amazing scripture in the entire debate on the second coming of Christ. First, look and see who is included in this resurrection; those who refused to take the mark of the beast. Now we know that the translation of the saints (rapture) is not until after the first resurrection (1 Thess 4:16-17). This verse tells you that the First resurrection takes place AFTER the mark of the beast. In short, NO resurrection and NO rapture before the mark of the beast. This lines up perfectly with what Paul so clearly stated, there will be no second coming of Christ before the Antichrist is revealed. (2 Thess. 2:3).

***The Mark of the Beast is mentioned in Rev. 13:18 in connection with the reign of the False Prophet. What he fails to understand is found in I Cor. 15:22,23. It says, "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order (tagmati, rank): Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming." He comes in the air at the Pre-Trib Rapture. The Sign of the Son of Man is seen in the air at the Pre-Wrath Rapture. Neither Rapture will be at the same time as the Second Advent. After the second Rapture and the catastrophy, Israel will bury the dead 7 months (Eze. 39:12,13) to cleanse Israel for the Second Advent, when Christ returns in glory.

Indeed, Christ himself was most emphatic on when he was going to resurrect the dead in Christ.

And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. (Joh 6:39)

***It says, "raise it up AGAIN." The Pre-Trib Rapture has already taken place. Then at the Pre-Wrath Rapture, saints will truly be raised up "AGAIN."

And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. (Joh 6:40)

***There are two silver trumpets that foreshadow the two trumps of God. Num 10:1-4 says, "the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. And when they shall blow with them (both, i.e., when all saints in Heaven or on Earth are called to the general assembly in Heaven), ALL (as in I Cor. 15:51,52) the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And if they blow but with ONE TRUMPET, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel (the 24 elders, 12 patriarchs and 12 apostles), shall gather themselves unto thee." That's the Pre-Trib Rapture. The 24 elders, of which John is one, are seen on their thrones in Rev. 4:4.

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. (Joh 6:44) Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. (Joh 11:24)

***If there is a LAST DAY, there is a FIRST DAY. The last day is a sure thing for all believers. The first day is for the Bride of Christ. For that, we must be worthy. Luke 21:36 says, "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."

Christ makes it abundantly clear that no one gets resurrected until the last day.

***I think he makes the first Rapture, the FIRST TRUMP, "abundantly clear." See I Thess. 4:13-18 and Rev. 3:10. He also makes the second Rapture,"the LAST TRUMP, abundantly clear." See I Cor. 15:51,52 and Mark 13:27.

The Apostle Paul makes it clear that no one is going away in any 'rapture' until the dead in Christ are raised up first. These are clear and incontrovertible teaching of Christ and his holy Apostles.

***The dead in Christ are raised up at the FIRST TRUMP, first rank in the First Resurrection, AND at the LAST TRUMP, last rank.

I do not see the Second Coming of Christ and the rapture of the saints as two different events. Rather, I see clearly it as being one single event. Nevertheless, even if they are separate events, neither will occur before the man of sin is revealed and many Christians are martyred for having refused the mark of the beast. More importantly, I do not believe the scriptures teach anything remotely like a pre-tribulation rapture. Christ is coming for a Church without spot or wrinkle. That certainly does not describe the millions of worldly, carnal 'christians' who flock to see the latest 'end-times' movies or buy the latest, best selling heretical 'Christian fiction' books. I am not trying to be condescending, but I believe that in the scriptures, first means first and last means last, if another trumpet sounds it is not the last!! Let me make this very clear to those who are teaching contrary to God’s revealed word, any other definition of last is no more than a wresting of the scriptures and great spiritual folly. But I am sure you will find no difficulty in finding millionaire teachers to convince you “that the Holy Spirit really didn’t mean last, what he really meant to say was…[Insert your convenient lie here]...”

***He is forgetting that for something to be last, something else has to be first. It is our duty to try to figure out when the first trump of God sounds. It is in I Thess 4:16. Only when it sounds again does it need to be mentioned that it is second, or in this case, last.

The Wrath of God and the Church.

The church will not experience God’s wrath. PERIOD. Many teachers see this as evidence that the church must be raptured first.

***I agree. The wise Philadelphian virgins have to be raptured first. In Rev. 3:10, Jesus promised the Philadelphians before whom he put the "open door," "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from (ek, out of, as in Rev. 5:9; 7:14) the hour of temptation (peirasmos, trial, i.e., the Tribulation), which shall come upon ALL THE WORLD, to try (peirazo) them that dwell upon the earth."

***There is a CUTTING OFF at the first Rapture. Luke 12:46,47 says, "The lord of that servant (the foolish believer) will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder (lit., cut him off, i.e., spue the Laodiceans out of the Body of Christ, Rev. 3:16), and will appoint him his portion (the Tribulation) with the unbelievers. And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes."

***To be prepared, we need to confess our sins to God so he can cleanse us of all unrighteousness (I John 1:9). We need to let Jesus wash our feet. Joh 13:8-10, "Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, IF I WASH THEE NOT, THOU HAST NO PART WITH ME. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head." Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean."

***To Luke 12:46, Mt. 24:51 adds, "And shall cut him (the evil servant) asunder (lit., cut him off), and appoint him his portion (the shortened Tribulation) with the hypocrites (pretenders): there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Likewise, there is weeping and gnashing of teeth when, in Mt. 22:11-14, the man at the wedding banquet without a white wedding garment was cast outside the door. The Laodiceans don't have on white raiment. They will be cast outside the door too.

*** Immediately after the cutting off in Mt. 24:51, Mat 25:1-10, says, "Then (when the foolish virgins are cut off) shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil (symbol of the Holy Spirit) in their vessels (i.e., bodies) with their lamps. While the bridegroom (Christ) tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone (lit., going) out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom (Christ) came; and they that were ready (the wise Philadelphians) went in with him to the marriage: and THE DOOR WAS SHUT."

***Heaven's door was shut as when the Lord shut the door of the Ark after Noah and his family were aboard. It was shut as it is for the foolish Laodicean virgins in Rev. 3:20. It is only open for the Philadelphians for whom Jesus had no words of condemnation.

***At the second Rapture, the Tribulation saints come OUT OF (ek) GREAT TRIBULATION, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God" (in Heaven) (Rev. 7:14). We are either kept OUT OF (ek) the Tribulation, as in Rev. 3:10, or we will have to wash our robes in the blood of Christ to make them white while we go through the Tribulation.

***The wise Philadelphian virgins caught up in the Pre-Trib Rapture are the Bride of Christ. At the Pre-Wrath Rapture, only the 144,000 Israelites are wise virgins who are to be added to the Bride group. Rev. 14:3-5 says, "And they sung as it were a new song (also sung after the first Rapture, Rev. 5:9) before the throne (in Heaven), and before the four beasts, and the elders (12 patriarchs and 12 apostles, including John, who got to Heaven in the Pre-Trib Rapture, Rev.4:1-4): and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for THEY ARE VIRGINS. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. THESE WERE REDEEMED FROM AMONG MEN, being the firstfruits (but another rank) unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God."

On the surface this seems sound, but in reality it is American, it is Laodicean and it springs from a spirit of lukewarmness. Consider this, Lot was not translated at the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, but he was removed from the danger area,

***Lot was told to go to the mountain, a symbol of a kingdom and of Heaven. Gen 19:16,17 says, "while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city. And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, ESCAPE (as in Luke 21:36) for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; ESCAPE TO THE MOUNTAIN, lest thou be consumed."

Noah was not translated even though the flood covered the whole earth, everyone else was dead! At the end of the tribulation at least a few will survive. By faith Noah prepared. Even though he was certainly mocked and laughed at for doing so. During the plagues of Egypt God supernaturally protected his people from his WRATH (not from chastisement, tribulation or persecution, but Gods Holy Wrath). This is one way God may protect us from the plagues of the last days. However God chooses to do it, you can be sure he will. It is a non-sequiter that God MUST translate the church for people to escape his wrath. God is Sovereign and rest assured he has the situation under control, even if we are like the saints in the book of Daniel who were thrown directly into the fiery furnace and were not burned, GOD IS ABLE!!! I must tell you, this American Gospel of prosperity, easy believe-ism and name it and claim it materialism, is not of God and gives rise to the comfortable no-suffering doctrines which are passed off as truth in the pulpit and Christian TV. Millionaire Christians who preach this non-sense put their sheep in great peril because when persecutions and tribulations come, it shakes the faith of these poor souls. And if they are taught to believe that we will not go through the tribulation and finds everyone still here, what will happen next? Hell's voice will speak in their troubled minds and say “If your preacher was wrong about the Rapture what else is he wrong about?” Then unbelief and even apostasy sets in. Then follows spiritual disaster. Because they were taught the gospel according to the American flag and the America dollar rather than according to Christ Jesus. God is not mocked. He who stores his treasure on earth will reap corruption. Consider this carefully, it will mean life or death to the mainstream American-Laodicean Church.

***He has an ax to grind. Of course, we have Laodiceans in our midst. And they do face the closed door of Rev. 3:20. However, that doesn't change the fact that Christ has set the "OPEN DOOR" before the Philadelphians, for whom he had no words of condemnation. In Rev 3:8, he said, "I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an OPEN DOOR, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name." The Philadelphians are "accounted worthy" (Luke 21:36).

***In Rev 3:18,19, Jesus told the Laodicean church, "I counsel thee to buy of me gold (symbol of deity) tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent."

While God has not appointed us to wrath, there are some hard, hard times that believers will have to face and the end. The Antichrist will make war on the saints and will overcome them.

***He won't make all-out war on the Pre-Trib saints. They will be out of here before he can do that.

Revelation 13 says of the Beast: Vs 7 - And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. [emphasis Mine] One of the first mistakes made by modern and apostate teachers is that the Church will not be here when the 'end times' begins. This is palpably false and there is no real scriptural evidence for this. Those who hold this view must ignore or 'reinterpret' the words 'saints' and 'believers' and 'those who obey God's commandments' as something other that the true followers of Jesus Christ, better known as the Church. Redefining terms is a tool the devil has always used to obfuscate and confuse the truth and finally deceive people. Saints means saints. If you have difficulty in knowing who the saints are, then do a word study (See Bottom of this Page2). Most of you will not STUDY the word of God, to show yourselves approved and that is why so many will not believe what the scripture teaches, but rather believe what the false teachers are teaching.

***There are three categories of saints, Old Testament saints, Church saints, and Tribulation saints. We have to figure out what category of saints is meant in Revelation. The Old Testament saints and the Church saints will be caught up at the Pre-Trib Rapture. Heb 11:40 says, "God having provided some better thing for US (THE CHURCH SAINTS), THAT THEY (THE OLD TESTAMENT SAINTS) WITHOUT US (THE CHURCH SAINTS) SHOULD NOT BE MADE PERFECT."

Rev. 14:9-14 clearly teaches 3 things: The saints of the tribulation are those who hold the true faith of Jesus Christ (Vs 12) They are to have patience because the mark of the beast is here and they must not take it (vs 9-12) There is s special blessing in those who die from that time onwards (Vs 13)

I also believe that these teachers are setting up the people of God for a very, very vile deception. I do not know exactly what this deception is, but the Spirit bears witness that the doctrine of a pre-tribulation rapture figures in heavily. But whatever it is, it will be strong enough to deceive God's most precious elect, if it were possible. Very few believers fall into that category. Very few. If it is strong enough to deceive them, what about the millions of half-baked lukewarm minions who call themselves Christians who bring great dishonor to Christ with their sinful lifestyles, and doctrines of devils? Did not the Apostle Peter warn of these types of people when he said that God would send them a strong delusion because they loved not the truth? Bear this in mind, saints of God, Satan is not sending this delusion, though he may be the instrument. God himself is sending this one.

***The "strong delusion, that they should believe a lie" (II Thess. 2:11), is given to the UNSAVED of the Tribulation "That THEY ALL might be damned who BELIEVED NOT the truth" (v. 12).

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: [Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2Th 2:8-12)

Whatever this deception is, it has been in the works since at lest the days of Paul in the 1st Century (2Thes2:7). Therefore, if you are not firmly rooted and grounded in the word, knowing the times and the seasons of God's prophetic timetable, you will be like a man who goes into battle without a map, weapon or a battle plan.

Such people will be the slaughtered on the great day of the LORD, with all who loved the lie rather than the truth.

***Every single person that believes in Yeshua/Jesus will be caught up in the Pre-Wrath Rapture on the first day of the millennial Day of the LORD. The Rapture will be during the preceding night or early morning. God's wrath will fall on unbelievers at noon (Zeph. 2:3-5).

The Spirit bears witness that the doctrine of Christ's Second Coming is a foundation one. It is almost as important (though not quite) as salvation by grace and repentance from dead works. It is especially important to THIS GENERATION. God does not make foundational doctrines difficult to understand for his TRUE FLOCK. It is up to the Devil to confuse, obfuscate, misdirect, and otherwise DECEIVE those who receive not the love of the truth. Brothers and sisters, please let that not be you.

I know I have been uncompromising on this and I cannot apologize, I sense deeply that there is a great deception coming and this doctrine ( the pre-tribulation rapture doctrine) is an important part of it. It is going to fool a lot of Christians. Even now some are teaching that it will be OK to take the mark of the Beast because it is only an 'economic mark' (????). Please study this doctrine and know the times and seasons it is the only way to properly watch unto salvation.

I humbly submit that I have been given no special divine revelation, no special angel has visited me with special messages regarding the rapture, no dream has revealed this mystery nor has any spiritual being spoken to me about these matters. I profess no special unction from God nor do I seek to have 'followers'. Additionally, I do not wish to create dissension in the true Church of God. My only tools in unraveling this mystery are rightly dividing the word of truth (for many years) and deep and sincere prayer. Many will gainsay this message as it is contrary to the common teachings of the American Pulpit and the Government Corporations passing themselves off as Churches. Also, many who have claimed to have had 'special revelation' from God will also revile this message. I am undaunted and unconcerned with them. If they cannot teach the truth clearly, concisely from the scriptures, I want nothing to do with their uninspired opinions and half studied doctrines that are deceiving many well meaning Christians. Let them be judged by the living God for what they are. Please keep in mind that this writing is not a personal attack upon anyone. It is a look at the doctrine of the rapture/last trump as it is taught clearly and concisely in the Bible, without fanciful interpretations of apocalyptic symbology or exegetical mistakes that imputes or assumes events that are not clearly and concisely taught in scripture. Before any of you readers get all hot and bothered with what I have written, read, study and pray sincerely for wisdom and it will be granted... if it is asked for in faith.

***I can see two Raptures so clearly, I wonder why many can't see them. My opinions are because I have studied hard for over 42 years. I am not following what anyone says without comparing it with Scripture.

“And what I say unto you, I say unto all, Watch” (Mark 13:37)

This mystery, the angel declares, has already been revealed to the God servants the prophets. It is in your scriptures and if you study them for yourself, you will know what this mystery is.

Here is the word used for saints in the New Testament. You may look each up yourself and get a clearer picture of who the saints are and how the world is used in scripture.

Strongs Word - 40 - agiov hagios From a?´??? hagos (an awful thing) compare G53, [H2282]; sacred (physically pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially consecrated): - (most) holy (one, thing), saint.
"Note: I believe this brother is a true servant of the Lord and his teaching from the Word of God should be digested and taken to heart. But will we do it? Rosemary LaVigne"

***I believe he is saved, but he doesn't understand the two Raptures. Neither can take place at the Second Advent. At that time "the LORD my God shall come, AND ALL THE SAINTS WITH THEE" (Zech. 14:5). They all journey from Heaven to Earth with the Lord at the Second Advent. That is when Jesus Christ comes riding on a white horse, "and the armies which were IN HEAVEN followed him upon white horses" (Rev. 19:14).

***Even the Old Testament gives us some hints about the Pre-Trib Rapture. Isa. 57:1-3 says, "The righteous perisheth (abad, to vanish, ESCAPE), and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away (acaph, to gather, remove, evacuate, take up, withdraw), none considering that THE RIGHTEOUS IS TAKEN AWAY (acaph, taken up) FROM THE EVIL TO COME (the Tribulation). He (the righteous, who are taken away in the Pre-Trib Rapture) shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds (in Heaven, Psa. 149:5), each one walking in his uprightness. But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore." The righteous are taken away when the Tribulation is "near." It seems very near right now. The False Prophet can't be revealed until we, the salt of the Earth, are removed. The Holy Spirit in us is withholding his being revealed "UNTIL HE BE TAKEN OUT OF THE WAY" at the Pre-Trib Rapture (II Thess 2:7,8).

***Psa 40:1-3 says, "I waited patiently (as we are doing today) for the LORD; and he inclined (bent down) unto me, and heard my cry. He BROUGHT ME UP (i.e., raptured me) also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay (as Jeremiah was brought up out of the miry pit), and set my feet upon a rock (Heaven), and established my goings (at the Pre-Trib Rapture). And he hath put a NEW SONG (sung after the Rapture, Rev. 5:9) in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it (the Pre-Trib Rapture), and fear, and shall trust in the LORD." These Tribulation saints will be caught up in the Pre-Wrath Rapture. The hope of being raptured is good until the "last trump" of God (I Cor. 15:51,52). After that, no Rapture. Agape
