Hint of a Pentecost Rapture

Some time after Passover in Nisan (John 2:13), probably in Iyar, for he went to Galilee (John 4:3), Jesus said, "Say not ye, There are yet four months (Sivan, Tamuz, Av and Elul), and then cometh harvest? (the Pre-Wrath Rapture will probably be Tishri 1, the 7th month, that begins the Millennium) behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white (i.e., the wheat is ripe) already to harvest" (John 4:35). We are called wheat in the parable of the wheat and tares (Mt. 13:30).

To me, this suggests that the Pre-Trib Rapture of the wheat is in Sivan. Pentecost is Sivan 6,7. After this, in John 5:1, we read that "there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem." There were three times in the year for the males to go up to Jerusalem, Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles. I think the mention of the four months indicates that the Pre-Trib Rapture will be on Pentecost, when the males went up to Jerusalem. The Bride of Christ will go up to New Jerusalem.

...New push to get U.S. out of U.N. Congressmen ask for House floor vote during time of disdain for global body. A concerted effort is underway to push Congress to consider the complete withdrawal of the United States from the United Nations. Rep. Jesus' Brother's "Bone Box" Closer to Being Authenticated

By Hillary Mayell, for National Geographic News 4-18-03
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2003/04/0418_030418_jesusrelic.html

...The wear and weathering on the two long sides of the box are significantly different, complicating the picture. The more weathered side has two rosettes carved into it, and some red paint. The side with the inscription is less weathered. Meyers argues that this is evidence that the inscription was carved at a later date.

There's a reasonable explanation for that, says Witherington.

"The majority of the work of building the temple in Jerusalem was finished by the time Jesus was a young child," he said. "So the stone masons moved into carving ossuaries. They didn't wait until someone died to carve a one-person adult box, which is what this is. They carved a number of them and then left them out in the yard, exposed to the elements, which in Jerusalem can be quite harsh. James was suddenly martyred in A.D. 62, and they couldn't afford an expensive one, so they bought one that had already been carved, had it inscribed, and placed it in a place protected from the elements."

Keall has an alternate explanation for the differences in weathering.

"I think the rosettes are on the front of the box, and the inscription on the back," he said. "When the box was placed in its niche in the cave it's conceivable that the front was subjected to more fluctuating conditions."....

Incoming email, Re: Have you ever considered psalm 55

Have you ever read psalm 55 and considered the picture it paints of mid-trib as the anti-christ enters the temple and magnifies himself. The psalm seems to me to be talking about the wickedness, horror, terror and death that will befall the Jew's at that time when the ac breaks the covenant and commits the abomination of desolation. It seems to imply their fleeing to Petra and their protection they receive after they accept the Lord as their Messiah.

The main verse I wanted you to notice is the last verse. It talks about the bloody and deceitful men being thrown into the pit and that they will not live out half their days. Could this be a prophecy that "half their days" would imply that the last half of the tribulation would be less that half of the 1260 days that some are believing it will be.

Since we know it will be shortened and since I am like you and looking for a Pentecost rapture which would leave exactly 300 days from mid-trib if it starts on Pentecost also. I was just wondering if you have ever noticed this. I highlighted the words or verses below that I am referring to. I want you to especially look at verses 12, 13 and 14. These are interesting if this is the ac because it tells how the Jew's will look upon him before he reveals who he really is. Look at verse 19 where I highlighted the words "even he that abideth of old." Could be talking about the Pope here who is "old" and also Pontifix Maximus.

I hope you and Ed are doing well. I am recouping from a triple-bypass I had on March 4 of this year. I need my new body yesterday if you know what I mean! Agape

[1] Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
[2] Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
[3] Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
[4] My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
[5] Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
[6] And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
[7] Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
[8] I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
[9] Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
[10] Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.
[11] Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
[12] For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
[13] But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.
[14] We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.
[15] Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.
[16] As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.
[17] Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
[18] He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
[19] God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
[20] He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
[21] The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
[22] Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
[23] But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.

> > Have you ever read psalm 55 and considered the picture it paints of mid-trib as the anti-christ enters the temple and magnifies himself.

Yes. I have verses 6-8, 20-23 underlined in red. Out from "the wilderness" in v. 7, I wrote Petra - Mid Trib. Out from "he hath broken his covenant" in v. 20, I wrote Mid Trib.

Back in 1969 or 1970, Bob Ayala (one of those college-age kids who came to our house to study the Bible with me) called me to clue me in on verse 23. He was excited, because he recognized that it would probably apply to the False Prophet. That was pretty good for someone that was already legally blind to find that verse. That was the first time I had recognized what it could mean with respect to the end times too.

> > that they will not live out half their days. Could this be a prophecy that "half their days" would imply that the last half of the tribulation would be less that half of the 1260 days that some are believing it will be.

Thanks. You may have something there. I hadn't applied it to the 1260 days of the Great Tribulation that will be shortened, just to their ages. Thus, the Great Tribulation would be less than 630 days.

> > "even he that abideth of old." Could be talking about the Pope here who is "old" and also Pontifix Maximus.

Yes. Isa. 9:13-15 ties in. It says, "neither do they seek the LORD of hosts. Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day. The ancient and honourable (the Tribulation Pope), he is the head (6th head of the great red dragon); and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail." He is the 7th head and the tail, because he is Satan-possessed.

> > I hope you and Ed are doing well. I am recouping from a triple-bypass I had on March 4 of this year. I need my new body yesterday if you know what I mean!

I do know. So sorry you had to go through that too. I hope they give you Cardiac Rehab. If not, ask if you should have it. Ed's mother's cardiologist told me that all his patients get Rehab. Ed's doctor hadn't mentioned that there was such a thing. I asked if Ed should have it. His doctor said he'd see. They gave Ed a treadmill test (he could still do it then). His heart skipped a beat, so he got monitored Rehab three times a week for two months. Then he was given a chance to continue twice a week (not monitored) by paying a monthly fee. He has continued ever since. If he hadn't, he might not be able to walk at all now.

He can hardly walk. He has Diabetes and Parkinson's Disease on top of having had 5-bypass heart surgery and four TIAs. We have asked for a lift chair (he falls back several times when trying to get out of his recliner) and a walker with push-down brakes and a seat. Cardiac Rehab nurses said he should use a walker, that he's getting too unsteady just with his cane. It's been a month and SCAN (our HMO) hasn't approved the lift chair yet, so maybe they won't give him that. We just asked for the walker with a seat on the 16th. Maybe they will do that. We'll manage, whatever. He hangs onto my elbow whenever possible. Agape

Incoming email, Re: escape

According to Strongs Concordance: 1628 ekpheugo means to flee out from 1537 (from out of as in motion) and 5343 (to run away, to shun by anal. vanish)

My reply

Ekpheugo is an interesting word. In the KJV, it is translated "escape" five times and "flee" two times. Some times a Rapture is in view.

Luke 21:36 says, "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE (i.e., be caught up to Heaven in the Pre-Trib Rapture) all these things that shall come to pass (i.e., after the Rapture), and to stand before the Son of man" (in Heaven). Rom. 2:3 says, "thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt ESCAPE the judgment of God?"

II Cor. 11:33 says, "through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and ESCAPED his hands."

I Thess. 5:3 says, "when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not ESCAPE" (in the Pre-Wrath Rapture). Heb. 2:3 says, "How shall we ESCAPE (i.e., be raptured), if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him."

Acts 16:27 says, "the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been FLED" (had escaped)

Acts 19:16 says, "the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they FLED (escaped) out of that house naked and wounded."

Since it applies to our days, the most interesting passage is Luke 21:25-36. It says, "there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars (lit., constellations); and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea (nations, Rev. 17:15, i.e., the UN) and the waves (individual nations) roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things (including the two asteroids of Rev. 8:8,10) which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then (Day of God's Wrath, 7 months before the Second Advent, Eze. 39:12,13) shall they see the Son of man (Sign of the Son of Man, Mt. 24:30) coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things (the signs in the Sun, Moon and constellations) begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption (apolutrosis, deliverance, i.e., the Pre-Trib Rapture) draweth nigh. And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree (Israel), and all the trees (nations); When they now shoot forth (i.e., go to war), ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand (the Iraqi Freedom War started just before the first day of spring; summer starts June 21). So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation (started when Israel grew leaves in the Six-Day War of 1967, Mt. 24:32-34) shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled (1967 + 40 = 2007). Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day (of the Pre-Trib Rapture) come upon you unawares (i.e., when you are not ready). For as a snare (trap) shall it (the following Tribulation) come on ALL them that dwell on the face of the whole earth (i.e., on ALL those left behind after the Pre-Trib Rapture). Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE (in the Pre-Trib Rapture) ALL these things that shall (i.e., after the Rapture) come to pass (during the Tribulation), and to stand before the Son of man" (in Heaven after the Pre-Trib Rapture, Rev. 4:1,2; 5:9). Incoming email, Re: End of the Age Question

GOD BLESS YOU! Thanks for continuing to share your love for the Lord and your excitement for His coming. It is truly contagious in the Spirit.

On P&C 1019, you wrote the following:
"Why 2003? It seems to me that we are running out of time. One generation from the Sign of the End of the Age (when Israel grew leaves in the Six-Day War of 1967) is 2007. The Great Tribulation is to be shortened, but it can't be zero days. If the Rapture is June 7, 2003, the Great Tribulation would only be 300 days."

For my benefit, could you discuss again why a generation in this instance is considered 40 years instead of 70 years?

My reply

My Webster's Unabridged Dictionary says that a generation is "the period of time (about thirty years) between the birth of one generation and that of another," but in the Bible, it is reckoned as 40.

In 30 AD, Jesus told the Pharisees, "Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon THIS GENERATION. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate" (Mt. 23:36).

The Temple was burned 40 years later, in 70 AD. Therefore, "THIS GENERATION" indicated 40 years, just as at the Exodus, when they wandered in the wilderness 40 years while one generation died off.

This was foretold in Eze 4:6,7. It says, "lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah FORTY DAYS: I have appointed thee EACH DAY FOR A YEAR. Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward THE SIEGE OF JERUSALEM, and thine arm shall be uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against it." Agape

I am sure that all of you heard about the sandstorm in Iraq Tuesday and Wednesday (the worst in 100 years some say) and the drenching rain that followed the next day. Our troops were bogged down and couldn't move effectively.

The media was already wondering if the troops were in a "quagmire" and dire predictions of gloom and doom came from the left wing media.

What they didn't report was that yesterday, after the weather had cleared, the Marine group that was mired the worst looked out at the plain they were just about to cross. What did they see?

Hundreds if not thousands of anti-tank and anti- personnel mines had been uncovered by the wind and then washed off by the rain. If they had proceeded as planned, many lives would have undoubtedly been lost.

As it was, they simply drove around them and let the demolition teams destroy them.

One person once asked George Washington if he thought God was on his side. His reply is reported to be: "It is not that God should be on our side, but that we be on His."

to hisvangaurd,
These conversations are a waste of precious time and energy. We are not bearing fruit by these discussions. We are supposed to fellowship with like-minded Christians. The Lord also says we are to be in one accord, and that is not happening here. The bible says that if we believe Jesus is the son of God and rose from the dead and His shed blood covers our sin and we confess that with our mouth, then we are saved, by faith ONLY, not works. End of story. That is the only way to heaven. Everything else is just extra, like speaking in tongues, some people think its for now and some don't. Satan uses these different things to create dissension among Christians to tear us apart. If we keep going around in circles about this, we are going to get scolded by the Lord when we get to heaven, whenever that is. So as you believe be it unto to you, and we are not to try and steal each others hope. When we talk , we can talk about the things we do agree on - that Jesus loves us, we love Him, to spread the good news to the world, and we will see Him soon. We were created to Love, Praise and Worship God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) YHVH, YahoShua, Watching for Messiah and Savior Jesus of Nazareth. This hopefully we can agree.

After reading these notes Im wondering if I have miss understood the word of God because I do so want to Escape. In Jesus

My reply

Faith in Yeshua/Jesus as our own personal Saviour gains us Salvation. No ifs, ands or buts.

Good works gain us rewards, IF we have God's agape love in us. That is why 1Th 5:19 says, "QUENCH NOT THE SPIRIT." Sin quenches the Spirit, not that we can sin and lose our Salvation, but the level of the Holy Spirit is less than full.

1Co 13:1-3 says, "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (agape, love, God's kind), I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity (agape), I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity (agape), it profiteth me nothing."

If we are not filled with God's agape love, what can we do about it? We must tear down the sin barrier between us and God. Use I John 1:9. It says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Then we will again be in fellowship with our righteous God. Read the verses preceding I John 1:9 too.

It is obvious that the 10 virgins don't know how much oil (Holy Spirit) they need to have. Therefore, the safe thing is to "be filled with the Spirit" (Eph 5:18). Agape

Incoming email, Re: Censored Koran, Censored Bible

By Jim Bramlett

In my earlier message today, I mentioned that the original Koran says that before the end of days the Jews will return to their land, but, tragically, modern Arabs are denied this information for political purposes and to foment hatred against the Jews.

After he received my message, friend and outstanding Messianic Jewish author and speaker, Matt Schwartz, called me on the telephone and revealed another deception equally as bad or worse. And this deception is not by the Arabs -- but by the Jews.

Matt said that in all the synagogues, some 5,000 in the U.S. alone, the Selected Readings from the Jewish Bible omit all the 1,000 or so prophetic passages that refer to the Messiah, including Isaiah chapter 53. The rabbis do not want the people exposed to these prophecies. He said this practice began in the 1800s when Christian evangelists began using the Jewish prophecies to prove that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah.

Matt said Jews are given a full Jewish Bible at Bar Mitzvah, but as with many Christians, it is more a ceremonial thing and usually goes on the shelf and collects dust. They get all their "Bible'"from the synagogue's Selected Readings, which omits the most important thing they need to know.

We know that the whole purpose of the Torah and what we call the Old testament was to point to the Messiah. "And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, (Jesus) expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself" (Luke 24:27). "For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things" (Hebrews 10:1).

This is abominable. Jim

THE KORAN SAYS THE JEWS WILL RETURN TO THEIR LAND

-Exclusive interview with Sheikh Abdul Palazzi.

By Naomi Klass Mauer, editor - 3-27-03
http://www.jewishpress.com/news_article.asp?article=2247

Sheikh Abdul Palazzi, professor at the Research Institute for Anthropological Studies in Rome, was in the United States recently guest lecturing at Yale University on the possibility of bringing democracy to the Arab world. Having read numerous items about the sheikh, we were interested in meeting him. We caught up with him in New York as he was preparing to return to Italy.

Jewish Press: Tell our readers a little about yourself.

Palazzi: I was born in Rome 42 years ago to a Syrian mother and an Italian father. In addition to teaching at the Research Institute, I also teach a post-doctoral course on Middle East studies, I’m the secretary general for the Italian Muslim Association and the Muslim chair of Islam-Israel Fellowship at the Root and Branch Association.

Do you think democracy can ever come to the Arab world?

The United States has a real opportunity now to accomplish just that. The best proof is Afghanistan. Things are really turning around there and they can do the same thing in Iraq. After the first Gulf war ended the Emir was left in place in Kuwait. Slavery is rampant in Kuwait, but no one tried to replace the Emir with a real democracy, or to abolish slavery. Everything was left in place. But this time if the U.S. proves that it wants the globalization of democracy, it has a real chance to accomplish it in Arab countries. When you show the Arab world that you side with Arab leaders who kill them or enslave them, they lose all hope of change. An example is Arafat. When you build him up and the people know who he is, they have no hope of a change. I am terribly concerned that President Bush speaks of a Palestinian state. I am afraid that once this war with Iraq is won, the pressure on Israel to create a Palestinian state will be enormous. You cannot get rid of one terrorist state and then create a new one. And the Palestinian Authority will be worse, because they are the true allies of Saddam Hussein.

You know the terrorists always claim to be followers of the Koran.

The Koran is being misread. The Koran forbids mistreatment of Jews and the state is obligated to protect them. At the time of the Ottoman Empire Jews held positions in the government. The Koran says before the end of days the Jews will return to their land. At the end of World War One, Sharif Al Hussein, the leader of the Hashemite family and governor of Mecca said, when he saw the Jews returning to Palestine, “We are seeing what was foretold in the Koran. When others settled there the land stayed barren, but now the land recognizes its original sons and it is producing.”

It’s too bad the Palestinian Arabs don’t know that.

They can’t know it because these passages have been removed from their books. The PA selected only certain sources for their books. All of the proofs are deleted. But in other Islamic countries you do find all proofs in the Koran. You know, before 1967, Islamists referred to the Jews as Palestinians and the present-day Palestinians were called Jordanians. In Jerusalem, Imam Tabari, an important cleric, wrote an important book, “Lives of Prophets and Kings” He described the life of King Solomon and the Temple he built. Anyone who denies this not only denies history, but denies Islamic sources.

The Palestinian Arabs even deny that the Holy Temple ever stood on the Temple Mount.

I was part of an international delegation that visited Israel in 2000. The Wakf took us to visit Al Aksa. Right outside of the Dome of the Rock is a small chapel on the eastern side. “What is this place?” I asked. “It is the place where Solomon stood to dedicate the Temple,” was the reply. “Then why do you deny this?” I asked. With a smile I was told, “For political reasons.” Mecca and Medina are the holiest places for Islam. Jerusalem is shared with Jews and Christians. Why, according to Islam, did Mohammed go to Jerusalem? To meet all the prophets from other religions who worshiped there. Islam is faith in monotheism, faith in prophets, faith in humanity. The basic distinction is monotheism versus idolatry. And this concept it shares with Judaism.

This is just one of many instances of historical revisionism on the part of the Arabs.

Another example of history being forgotten concerns the 1919 agreement between Chaim Weizmann and King Faisel of Jordan and Iraq. The agreement said that the Jordan River was the border between the Jewish state and the Arab state. The Arabs did not oppose this. Then the British came and created Saudi Arabia, taking land from Jordan. So they told them to take some of the land back from the Jews. When the kingdom of Saudi Arabia was created, control of Mecca and Medina was thereby given to Wahabbism, the most primitive tribe of all. Islamic scholars were horrified. Then oil was discovered and they became all powerful and forced everyone to believe in Wahabbism and killed whoever didn’t. With the passing of years they became more sophisticated. Wahabbism in its original form is still practiced in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. It is their official religion.

Regarding the situation in Iraq, are you surprised by the way the French have acted?

Unfortunately, no. France has reached a new low level. They want the regime of Saddam to survive because they have a financial interest in him.

What about the Vatican?

Tariq Aziz was warmly welcomed by the Vatican and the Franciscan Monks prayed with him for Bush to repent. The pope approved the war against Milosevic – was he worse than Saddam Hussein?

We recall that the pope didn’t condemn the Arab gunmen who took over the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem last year.

No voice of dissent is heard inside the Catholic church. In the past there were many instances where bishops and cardinals voiced an opposite point of view. But not this time. The Franciscan priest inside the Church of the Nativity acted as if the Arabs were just seeking refuge from the Israelis. He is now visiting Italy and has such deep-rooted anti-Semitism that he is speaking out against Israel wherever he goes.

The Arab bishops who depend on their dictators for appointments are increasing inside the Vatican. The best bishops and cardinals are retiring, leaving a terrible vacuum. Cardinal Martini was an honorable and brilliant scholar from Milano. He said you cannot accept opinions of dictators in religious matters.

After his retirement he was sent to Jerusalem. He was accepted by the Latin Patriarchate only because the pope sent him, but they don’t like him and refer to him as “the Zionist.”

What is your view of the now discredited Oslo peace process?

Oslo was a basic mistake, and unless Israel takes steps to end it and publicly renounce it, we cannot expect the rest of the world to do so. When we in Italy try to stop the European Union from transferring money to Arafat, they answer us that even Israel is doing so. And why shouldn’t Bin Laden hope to be forgiven like Arafat was? Oslo abolished one of the basic principles of international law. If you are a terrorist, your crimes will not be forgiven. The world needs to be reminded of that.
* * *
The day after our interview a suicidal Arab terrorist blew up a bus in Haifa. A protest was immediately organized outside the PLO mission in New York by Rabbi Avi Weiss. Sheikh Palazzi, about to leave the country, joined Rabbi Weiss at that protest. It was the first time a Moslem sheikh took part in such a protest.
