Incoming Email I rec'vd your book "Exit 2000" from a friend. Since then I have shared it with others. Specifically with the time involved, I have become rather aggressive in trying to get my lukewarm friends and relatives to develop a person relationship with Christ.
Regardless if anything happens this coming week, I just wanted you to know, I always come from a skeptical viewpoint when I am presented with anyone who starts throwing out dates. I can read at lightening speed ordinarily. However with your book, I took two months the first time, as I also kept open a Bible, a Biblical dictionary, and books on Cabalistic numerology. When I finished it. I took a couple of weeks to digest it, then read it again, carefully marking everything I felt important or coming as new information to me. You should see this book. Nearly every page is either dog-eared or hi-lighted. I have to say, you have put in an enormous amount of information. I salute your scholarship. It must have taken a very long time to complete this work. I thank you for you Stewardship.
My reply Thank you for your encouraging email. It certainly did take a very long time to complete--over three decades of intensive study and twenty-three years of writing. I wrote that first book seven times.
I started intensive Bible study sometime before 1960. The Lord had seen to it that we moved from Oak Ridge, TN to La Mirada, CA in 1955, shortly before BIOLA (Bible Institute of Los Angeles), built their La Mirada campus. I studied Bob Thieme's tapes with a friend, read his booklets, and took along my tape recorder to hear him in person about three times. This gave me a good basic background of sound doctrine upon which to build. I exhausted another friend's library, which was later donated to her church to start their church library. After also exhausting our Bethany Baptist church library in Whittier, I got card #043 at BIOLA's library and immersed myself in reading about an 18" stack of books from their Seminary Collection every week for seven years. I had such a need to know, I felt driven.
After seven years of this, I still had burning questions with no answers. For instance, what were the cherubim and flaming sword of Gen. 3:24? What did Ezekiel's visions represent? In exasperation, I opened my Bible, laid my hands on it and said, "Lord! You'll have to show me. I want to know everything you want man to know about the Bible, all the deep things--everything."
After that, I studied mainly with the Bible and Strong's Concordance at first, later adding the Septuagint, Green's Interlinear Hebrew-Greek to English Bible plus Thayer's and Gesenius' lexicons. Every time I started through the Bible again, I tried to find a different version. Just having it translated in different words made something come clear that I had not recognized before. I think I have about 15 versions now.
Up until my 40th birthday in 1968, I had used my husband's old college portable typewriter on a rickety old card table in the corner of the kitchen to write studies on various Biblical subjects for myself and to work on a book about the three Babylons, Nimrod's at the Tower of Babel, Nebuchadnezzar's Neo-Babylonian Empire, and the final Antichrist's Babylon, also on the Euphrates River.
One evening at twilight, after typing all day on that portable typewriter, I was exhausted. Grabbing my closed Bible by the heel, I threw myself down across the bed in the darkened room, the drapes were closed and I turned on no light, saying to myself, "WHAT am I doing all this work for anyway, it will probably never be published anyway." Suddenly, just inches from my face is my open Bible, which just sprung open on its own, and there was a rectangle of light on Jer. 50:2.
I read in awe, over and over, "Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces." And I was writing about the three Babylons. In a very subdued voice, I said, "OK, I will continue to study and write, but you have to help with the publishing, I don't know anything about that."
I found out the basic framework of end-time events June 5, 1968, the day Bobby Kennedy died on the anniversary of the Six-Day War of 1967. It was so strange, he was brain dead, but the Lord kept his heart beating several hours so the date read June 5. I had kept mulling over the Six-Day War all year. It seemed so significant. This was like striking a fist in the other hand, punctuation, saying in my head to take a look at this date, it is important. Things finally jelled and I saw God's plan of end-time events. It took about another couple of years to see that the Translation of the Tribulation saints was at the end of the shortened Tribulation instead of in the middle, but other than that, all my subsequent studies confirmed and built on what I realized that day.
We made our garage into a room. I was teaching Good New Club to the neighborhood kids there. Then, in December, Ed, my husband, got me a large sturdy desk to put over in one corner and ordered an Olympia electric typewriter for my 40th birthday. It just happened to be a model 40. My mother sent me $40 for my birthday, which she had never done before. The number 40 was being emphasized. The typewriter was not supposed to come until the week after my birthday. I must have looked at Ed funny, because he smiled and said, "You think it will come on your birthday, don't you?" I said, "Yes," and it did.
It took 23 years of writing to produce "Exit: 2007: The Secret of Secrets Revealed". It was a learning process. After the fifth rewrite, one of the college age kids that came to study the Bible with me took it to his sister, an English teacher at BIOLA. She said she was sorry but I had to rewrite it once more, that I should put it in chronological order, that people that did not have the Bible background that I did might have a hard time keeping events in their proper order. I had told it the way I found it out, which is more like the last chapter presents it.
I didn't know if I could do it or not. All I could do was try. By that time, we were hard at work in our Spring Crest Drapery store, but I came home about 11:00 P.M., stayed up typing till about 3:00 A.M. and managed to get through it the sixth time.
As I was about to start through it the seventh time, Ed bought me a Mac computer. He said he would like to see the book completed in his lifetime. My daughter thought I would never finish it, that Mom would always be writing that book. I revised it up until the day it went to the printer. I just kept learning more and more. When I asked to understand everything, I had no idea, even after seven years of intensive study, of what all was in the Bible. Only God could have packed so much information into such a small book. There seems to be no end to what you can dig out.
After that first book and all that study, things happened fast. The second book, "Heaven Found: A Butter and Honey Star," only took about six months. It unexpectedly grew out of the fourth chapter of what turned out to be my third book, "Revelations 2000." That one only took about a year.
The Lord took care of something on the publishing end that I could not have done on my own. Only now, do I finally understand why Avon Books, a SECULAR publisher, called me and have since published all three books. It is so that after the Rapture, my books will still be available. In their editions, they changed the title of "Exit: 2007: The Secret of Secrets Revealed" to "The End of the Age" and "The Master Key: Revelation's Secrets Revealed" to "Revelations 2000." They kept my title on the one about where Heaven is actually located.
Hope to see you in glory soon
Incoming Email May 21, 1998, Greetings to all,
On this 1,968th anniversary of the Ascension of our Lord, the countdown is now less than 2 weeks away--only 10 days to go now. Do you realize that someday it will be only 10 days away from the Rapture, if not today. It's really going to happen.
As during those final 10 days of old before the birthday of the baby church into this world, so let us also prepare ourselves for the promised soon Coming of our Lord. Remember the promise of the two men in white apparel which appeared at the time of our Lord's Ascension, which said: "Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in LIKE MANNER as ye have seen him go into heaven" (Acts 1:10-11). They literally saw Him "taken up"--RAPTURED!-- from them before their very eyes. Only this time when He comes back again in the SAME MANNER He left--He's coming not to birth the church again, but this time for the Bride's own RAPTURE! Remember "Christ is the Firstfruit" [Rapture]. Next it's the Bride's turn--"they that are Christ's at His Coming" (1Corinthians 15:23). Ours is the next Rapture.
They were given instructions on what to do to get ready.
"And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but TARRY ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high" (Luke 24:49).
"And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but WAIT for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me" (Acts 1:4).
They did not spent those 10 days idle--but they spent those 10 days taking care of business getting ready for their promise. Let us also spend these last 10 days taking care of our business getting READY for our promise. We are running out of time to get right with God. Please be certain that you are ready for the Rapture in case it does happen this Pentecost--our May 31, 1998. We want to be like wise "faithful Philadelphian" virgins with plenty of the oil of the Holy Spirit, not like foolish "lukewarm Laodicean" virgins who get left behind when the Bridegroom comes for His Bride. We should confess all our known sins [including our UNBELIEF] to God so He can cleanse us of all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We should forgive others so we can be forgiven by Him. Get READY and STAY READY!
"WATCH ye therefore, and PRAY always, that ye may be ACCOUNTED WORTHY to escape all these things that shall come to pass [the coming Tribulation period], and to stand before the Son of man [in the Rapture]" (Luke 21:36).
Christ, the Firstfruit, both ascended and descended on the Feast of Firstfruits in 30 A.D. On the Feast of Pentecost, the Spirit of Christ both descended (in 30 A.D.) and will ascend (at the Rapture in 1998).
Incoming Email I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work in the Scriptures. I stumbled (no such thing as a coincidence!) onto your web site on Friday, 22 May. I immediately went to find your books, and Lo and Behold! I found all three (the last copies of each) at Borders Book Store. I am almost finished reading the End of the Age, and already I am beginning to tremble. I have accepted Jesus as my Saviour, but because I know I am a sinner, I do have the FEAR of the Lord in me. I ask for forgiveness, and I pray I do what I am supposed to do during this last week. I pray for your ministry, and I hope people will wake up before the hour is come!
Any advice? Love and Light,
My reply Just this. Be ready just in case. Confess every known sin since you accepted Christ so God can cleanse you of all unrighteousness (I John 1:9). Forgive all who have wronged you so you can be forgiven as you forgive others. Keep your faith strong and wait patiently until the Rapture takes place, whenever it happens.
Thank you for your prayers for me and other Christians. Father, I pray for ----, that she will be wearing white wedding garments and will be worthy to be chosen to escape all these things that are coming upon the world. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Incoming Email Snow! Snow! Snow! [and other things!] (Fri 5-22-98)
Wow Marilyn! Did you see the news today? There was SO MUCH hail in Colorado, the reporters [on the weather channel] were referrng to it as SNOW! Thew showed pictures of people digging their cars out of what looked like SNOW drifts and highway accidents everywhere. It truly LOOKED like a huge snowfall and it was caused by hailstones!!!
:-) 9 days away!!!!
Incoming Email Didn't Jesus say that the day would come upon us as a thief in the night? I guess it's hard for me to understand how we can know the day in advance. The general time frame maybe, but not the day. I read your book, End of the Age. It's a very well written and thought provoking work.
My reply He comes as a thief in the night just before Armageddon (Rev. 16:15,16). II Peter 3:10 says, "the day of the Lord (the Millennium) will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."
We are not of the night nor of the darkness. I Thess. 5:4,5 says, "But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness."
Incoming Email Re: is this for real?
i'm 16. i did a study on the rapture about 4 years ago, but i don't remember much. i heard about your idea that 5/31/98 is the day we'll all be leaving, and i'd love to believe it too, but i just don't want to put all my eggs in one basket if you know what i mean. i didn't have time to read why you think that will be the day. is there solid evidence? i want this to be the time more than ever, but if it's not i don't want to be disappointed.
also, didn't God say not to predict the day. isn't only the Father who knows the day & the hour? or, am i getting two things mixed up? thanks for listening. your sister in Christ,
My reply You do need to read it. I think there is very compelling evidence that points to this Pentecost, and you need to be ready. If you will go to my Web page (the URL is below), let the Home Page completely load, then get offline, it should stay there for you to read and study as long as you want. Just don't close it. (It stays with Netscape. I do it all the time.) If you want to save the text to a permanent file for future reference, you can still do a Save As before you close the document.
Since I have answered about no man knows so many times, I will attach a file on it.
Please let me know what you think after you read it. If you have further questions, I will be happy to try to answer them for you. I have studied the Bible intensively for over 38 years.
Incoming Email I would like to comment on one of your Pro and Cons.
Exodus 12:6, Kill it in the evening (between the evenings).
1.Jesus was on the cross at 9:00am, died at 3:00pm and was in the grave by 6:00pm. He fulfilled the prophecy between the two evenings.
**Passover was celebrated by the Galileans and the Pharisees one day; and the Judeans and the Sadduccees the next.
**Jesus and his disciples killed their lamb on the Galileans and the Pharisees day of Passover. And Jesus became the sacrifice on the Judeans and the Sadduccees day of Passover.
**The Galileans and Pharisees reckoned Passover from sunrise to sunrise. The Judeans and Sadduccees reckoned the Passover from sunset to sunset.
**Jesus was both a Galilean and of the tribe of Judah.
I hope this sheds some light on Jesus fulfilling the feast of Passover.
My reply > Jesus and his disciples killed their lamb on the Galileans and the
> Pharisees day of Passover. And Jesus became the sacrifice on the Judeans
> and the Sadduccees day of Passover.
Thanks for this information. You may be right. I have had so much to do that I have not been able to research the bit about different groups keeping Passover on a different day. For some reason, the Jews now keep the 15th, and Scripture says the 14th. Even the second Passover was on the 14th (Num. 9:3,11). I need to find proof references in early writings, but how to find the time eludes me. If you know of any references, I would appreciate your sending them to me.
However that my be, these things I feel pretty sure of by examining Scripture very carefully:
1. The Last Supper was eaten after the 6:00 PM that began Crucifixion Day in 30 AD.
2. The Crucifixion was on Preparation Day, Thursday, Nisan 13 (our April 6, 30 AD).
3. Friday, Nisan 14, was the Passover, the first day "since" (Lu. 24:21) and a "high day" (Jn. 19:31).
(According to the Jewish Calendar rules, the Feast of Unleavened Bread can't fall on Friday. Therefore, Passover on the 14th could not fall on Thursday and the Preparation Day could not have been on Wednesday, as some think.)
4. Saturday, Nisan 15, the 2nd say "since, was both Sabbath and the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
5. Sunday, Nisan 16, the "third day since," was the Feast of Firstfruits, Resurrection Day and the first day of the counting of the Omer.
6. Sunday, Sivan 6, was Pentecost, the 50th day, when the Church was born on Earth.
This year, 1998, the Jewish dates fall on the same days of the week that they did in 30 AD. Easter and the Feast of Firstfruits coincide. Both Firstfruits and Pentecost fall on Sunday.
God's clock stopped for Israel on Pentecost in 30 AD, and I expect it to start again on Pentecost/Feast of Weeks, in 2001, to count off the Seventieth Week of Daniel. On that day, I believe that the Holy Spirit will descend on Moses and Elijah to energize them for their 3 1/2 years of prophesying (matching Jesus' 3 1/2 year ministry) during the first half of the Seventieth Week/Tribulation.
I think the Holy Spirit will ASCEND on Pentecost, May 31, 1998, when the Church will be born into a new world at the Rapture, and DESCEND on Moses and Elijah on Pentecost, May 28, 2001, just as it happened on May 28, in 30 AD when the Holy Spirit descended on the 120 disciples (Acts 1:15; 2:1-4). Thus, I think that God will start Israel's clock on May 28, the same date it stopped on in 30 AD. That same date is Sivan 6 on the Jewish calendar both in 30 AD and in 2001. Isn't that the way the Lord shows us that he is in complete control?
The grace years for Israel between this ascent and descent are found in the parable of the barren fig tree in Luke 13:6-9. I think they run from Pentecost to Pentecost, Jewish 5758, 5759, 5760, and 5761 (our 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001).
Between this special ascent and descent of the Holy Spirit, I expect him to operate on Earth much as he did in Old Testament times.
On the phone, you said that Mt. 24:37f, the evil ones were the ones taken away. I think that the parable of the fig tree begins information about these end times, and that the ones taken are raptured. Luke 17:22,26 says, "The days will come, when ye shall desure to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it...And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man." The days of the Son of Man are the two Raptures, one as the days of Noah, the other as the days of Lot. There is only one Day of the Lord, but two Days of the Son of Man. Luke 17:29 begins talking about the second Day of the Son of Man, which is as the days of Lot. Verses 36 and 37 say, Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. And they answered and said unto him, Where Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is (the Body of Christ that was taken to Heaven in the first Rapture), thither will the eagles (high flying Tribulation saints) be gathered together (in the second Rapture)."
Incoming Email ...I received the Jews for Jesus newsletter--they referenced Pentecost Sunday as May 24th...Why? What's the discrepancy? Help....
My reply...May 24 is exactly one week early for Pentecost. The counting of the Omer started on Feast of Firstfruits (Easter), Apr. 12. That was day #1. The 24th is day #43. May 31 is the 50th day. I have no idea why they are celebrating on the 24th.
Incoming Email Just a quick note to thank you for taking the time to give me such a quick and detailed response to my question about dispensationalism. It helped. I thought later about the fact that Christians have been expecting Christ's return in their lifetime since He left to be with the Father. And in almost 2000 years a lot has happened that Christians back then would not have known about. Maybe especially in the last 50 years! Anyway, thank you again. God bless you.
Incoming Email Someone wanted me to look at Donald Perkins' web site.
My reply Donald Perkins said, "Why? were these dates false? Because God said in His Word that no man, nor angel would know the actual date of Christ's return."
He also quoted Scripture: "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Matthew 24:36
Is Mr. Perkin's statement true? No. It has the ring of truth to it if you don't compare it with what Jesus said, but it is not quite right.
Jesus said, "knoweth," which is present tense, and refers to the day in which it was stated. On that day, no man knew. Mr. Perkins said "would know," which reaches into the future and was not stated by Jesus.
Mr. Perkins quoted Acts 1:7: "'It is not for you to know the times or the season, which the Father hath put in His own power.' (Acts 1:6,7)."
He failed to see what else the passage says. It continues with verse 8, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you." After Pentecost, they had the power to know. All that remained for times and seasons to be figured out was for the Sign of the End of the Age to appear.
That sign was the Six-Day War of 1967. At that time Israel was 19 years old, the last year that she could be considered young, for when they came out of Egypt, they counted the males from 20 and up. The 19-year-olds were the young.
In Mt. 24:34-36, Jesus said, "Now learn a parable of the fig tree (Israel); When his branch is yet tender (apalos, young, i.e., 19), and putteth forth leaves (Sinai, West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Golan Heights), ye know that summer is nigh (the Six-Day War began June 6; summer began June 21). So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it (the Rapture) is near, even at the doors (there are two Raptures, Pre-Trib and Pre-Wrath). Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." 1967 + 40 = 2007.
We are now at 1998. 2007 - 1998 = 9 years in which all the events from the Rapture to the Beginning of the Millennium must take place. How much longer can it be?
The parable of the barren fig tree in Luke 13:6-9 shows that there are four grace years for Israel to turn to God after the Rapture takes place and before the Tribulation begins. Counted by Jewish inclusive reckoning, I think they are 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001. According to Daniel 8:14, the shortened Tribulation is to last 2300 days. I think it starts on the Feast of Weeks in 2001 and ends on the Feast of Trumpets in 2007. The years include 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. Can you fit all this into any less than 9 years the way we count years (10 the way the Jews count them)?
Luke 21:24 says, "and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." Therefore the times of the Gentiles were fulfilled in 1967, when Israel took the rest of Jerusalem and the temple area.
Israel's Levites are now 30 years old and can officiate in the Tribulation temple. 1998 is the 6000th year of man's test being mortal and knowing both good and evil. It is also Israel's Jubilee year. Can you think of a more suitable time for the Rapture to take place?
Think about this correlation. Jesus was resurrected on the Feast of Firstfruits, in 30 AD. After the counting of the Omer, the Holy Spirit came to the church on Pentecost, the 50th day.
In our days, Israel was resurrected in 1948. After the counting of the Jubilee, will Christ come to the church on Pentecost in the 50th year?
We are not only a kind of firstfruits, we are wheat, and Pentecost is the wheat harvest. Can you figure out a better time for the Rapture? What other options do we have left?
Jesus said, "I have foretold you ALL THINGS" (MK 13:23). Do you believe him? He also said, "Nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest: neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad." Do you think he meant what he said?
He knew what he was talking about. After all, "God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself" (II Cor. 5:19).
Daniel 12:10 says, "none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand." Are you one of the wise?

DATE: May 1, 1998
Israel celebrated the 50th Jubilee anniversary of its independence April 30 - May 1. After the lighting of fifteen memorial torches, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu read aloud selections from the Declaration of Independence at the opening ceremony at Mt. Herzl Wednesday evening, and 50 shofars (ram's horns) were sounded. Public entertainment was held in most localities, and many celebrated with special thanksgiving prayer services in synagogues throughout the country.
The Israel Defense Forces held a large-scale air show of 50 planes which flew across the country. It is estimated that one million people visited the 50 national parks in Israel. It is the first time that celebrations were held for two days, Thursday and Friday.
An increased number of tourists arrived in Israel to celebrate Israel's 50th Independence Day. El Al Israel Airlines operated four extra daily flights from the United States for the benefit of those who wished to celebrate Israel's Jubilee anniversary.
