There is some logic to that. However, in reading one of Bonnie Gaunt's books, she makes a strong case for Adam being 33 1/2 years old at the time he sinned. Why? Because Jesus was the Last Adam and we can look at Jesus' life and extrapolate BACK to Adam.
Jesus was 33 1/2 years old when He "became sin." Therefore, extrapolating this back to Adam would seem to indicate that he was 33 1/2 years old when he sinned.
Further, is it not reasonable to assume that Adam sinned on Passover, the very Day Jesus was crucified? The sin of Adam led to perhaps the First sacrifice of an animal to cover his sin. God made this first animal sacrifice in the Garden of Eden....perhaps on the very day that Adam sinned....a Passover.
Makes sense if this happened on Passover, when for centuries lambs would be slain to cover sin....until The Lamb would come that would take away the sins of the world.
Best wishes and glad you are feeling better.
Jerusalem was tested 40 years, from 30 to 70 AD, not 33.5. See Eze. 4:6: "thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year."
I helped Ed get on and off the stationary bike at Cardiac Rehab yesterday. I had to pull his right foot up some. After that, he rode the bike quite a bit. The nerve that goes to that leg got pinched when he got the compression fracture in his back. Mine was in my right leg too. I still can't do some things as well with the right leg as the left, so I understand. Today, we walked between Goodyear and the Jack in the Box. Got the oil changed. That is the longest walk he has done since he fell. That should help. He sat down on the seat of his walker a couple of times to rest. I walked it twice. That's good for me too. Agape
Dan 12:7 "And I heard the man clothed in linen, which [was] upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that [it shall be] for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these [things] shall be finished."
I had figured out the time, times, and an half time, which turned out to be time (360 days),
times (which is time doubled (720 days)), and an half time (180 days), which equals 1260 days.
These days are actually years in prophetic time according to the Bible, my question was, what event took place approx. 1240 - 1275 years ago to turn the Holy Power away from the people, this was based on if we are living the final days to the end of all time, before Christ's Millinial Reighn.
As it turns out, after prayer and research, I have come to figure out such an event that took place 1250 years ago, in the year 753 A.D. a decree called the "Synod of Constantonople" which people and churches could no longer use any material for worship, such as objects, Pictures, Crosses, anything in rememberance or for teaching the Gospel, these items were declared to be forms of Idol worship. This decree was later changed, 35 years later, after they had come to the decision that the former decree had "banned all material for worship" and that some of this such material was indeed neccesary to keep GOD and CHRIST in remeberance, and were not forms of idolatry.
By this estimate, all these things should come to pass by the year 2013 A.D. So now if I have been able to figure out all the dates of Dan. Chap 12. correctly,
1. "Things that come to Pass" (753 A.D. + 1260 years) Dan 12:7 = 2013 A.D.
2. "End of Sacrafice and the abomination that maketh desolate set up" (70 A.D. + 1290 years) Dan. 12:11 = 1360 A.D. and the rebuilding (twice) of the Mosque on the Holy Ground of the Temple Mount. (as stated in Dan. chap.11 "ought not be". )
3. "Blessed [is] he that waiteth" which is the last Generation (632 A.D the death of Mohammad + 1335 years) Dan. 12:12 = 1967 A.D. "Isreal becomes a Nation."
I thought you just might be interested in this, if my dating is correct. Although I am still puzzled to the dating in Isreali Time, if we can calculate this timing to accurate, this would mean that the Pre-trib rapture (7 years earlier than 2013 A.D.) would be 2006 A.D., but is this calculated as possibly Sept. 2005 A.D. - Sept. 2006 A.D. (for us) because of Isreal's calendar and when their new year starts? Although this really does not mater, for the time is indeed getting close to be sure of. We will keep you in our Prayers, GOD BLESS
Dan. 9:27's week is seven years. We know that because it was 483 years (7 + 62 weeks of years) from the going forth of the commandment of Cyrus (Isa. 44:28) to restore and build Jerusalem unto the Crucifixion of Jesus (483 - BC 454 + 1[no zero year] = 30 AD).
In his "Romance of Bible Chronology," Martin Anstey said that he found an 82-year mistake in the era of the Persian Kings (BC 536 - 82 = BC 454).
In the middle of the week of years, the False Prophet will "cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations (idols) he shall make it (the temple) desolate, even until the consummation". When he sits in the temple "shewing himself that he is God" (II Thess. 2:4), it is the middle of the 7 years.
The Beast of Rev. 13:2-10 rules during the first half of the 7 years. Verse 5 says that "power was given unto him to continue forty and two months." This is the same period of time that the two witnesses prophesy. Rev. 11:3 says, "they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days." Thus we know that the first half of the 7 years is 42 months, which = 1260 days.
Before being shortened, the last half of the 7 years is "a thousand two hundred and threescore days...And to the woman (Israel) were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place (Petra), where she is nourished for a time (1 year), times (2 years), and half a time (half a year; i.e., 3.5 years), from the face of the serpent" (Rev. 12:6,14). Three and a half times equals 3.5 years, which is 42 months or 1260 days.
Now that we know what these terms mean, we can go back and apply these meanings to those same terms in Daniel.
Dan. 7:23-27 says, "The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another (the False Prophet) shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse (different) from the first (Beast, Rev. 13:2-10), and he (the False Prophet) shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the most High (Christ, Isa. 44:6), and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they (the Tribulation saints) shall be given into his (the False Prophet's) hand until a time and times and the dividing of time (3.5 years, the ones that are to be shortened or no flesh would be saved, Mt. 24:21,22). But the judgment (Judgment Seat of Christ) shall sit, and they (the saints, Psa. 149:5-9) shall take away his (the False Prophet's) dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High (Christ), whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him."
When the False Prophet "shall come to his end" (Dan. 11:45, i.e., at the end of the last 3.5 years of the 7, the years that will shortened)..."at that time thy people (Israel) shall be delivered (at the Pre-Wrath Rapture), every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt" (Dan. 12:1,2).
Dan. 12:6,7 says, "How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever (Christ) that it shall be for a time, times, and an half (the last 3.5 years of the 7); and when he (Christ) shall have accomplished to scatter (naphats, dash to pieces; i.e., with the asteroid of Rev. 8:10; 18:21) the power of the holy people (i.e., the world church will be destroyed by smashing Babylon), all these things shall be finished."
Zec 5:3,4 says, "This (the binary asteroid, a rolling thing that is twice as long as wide) is THE CURSE that goeth forth (orbits) over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it (one stone tablet with 5 commandments); and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it (the other stone tablet with 5 commandments). I will bring it (the curse, the binary asteroid that the 2 stone tablets prefigured) forth, saith the LORD of hosts (Christ, Isa. 44:6), and it shall enter into the house of the thief (the False Prophet, who takes everyone's money that's in the bank when they won't take the mark of the beast) , and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name (the Pope claims infallibility): and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof."
We know that the False Prophet will place the abomination that maketh desolate at the temple in the middle of the 7 years. Therefore, the 1290 days and the 1335 days of Dan. 12:11-13 are to be counted from Mid-Trib.
It says, "from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination (idol) that maketh desolate set up (Mid-Trib), there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou (Daniel) shalt rest, and stand in thy lot (plot of ground in Israel) at the end of the days."
The extra 30 days (1260 + 30 = 1290) may be set aside for mourning the dead. Num 20:29 says, "when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel." Agape
There is an ancient Jewish tradition of the Creator and a primeval serpent (or dragon) named Rahab doing battle before the creation of mankind. Rahab, who was broken (God "ran the dragon through" as you quote), was in my understanding split into two lesser demons, namely the legendary and ever-mis-defined Behemoth and Leviathan, who I equate with Antichrist and Blasphemy in Revelation from physical descriptions in Job and Revelation and from various other Biblical verses. If Rahab was a serpentine demon (as Satan is described in Revelation, so it is logical), his "mistranslation" as a whale in Job 26 is not a mistranslation at all... "apostate dragon" seems to match this as well. Of course a whale is not a dragon, but demons are merely being described in Earthly terms for the purpose of being correctly pictured.
The dragon in Isaiah 51 is then not Satan but also Rahab. And how could it be Satan, if Satan is still very much alive? I apologize for not giving my own Biblical references but simply re-explaining yours, but I don't remember where I originally found them when I thought up this theory. If you're at all interested maybe you could look into this idea, and if you know of some evidence directly against it I'd appreciate knowing it as well.
Psa 89:10 says, "Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies (Satan and his fallen angels) with thy strong arm."
Isa 51:9 says, "Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD (Christ); awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut (lit., split) Rahab, and wounded the dragon (Satan)?"
Isa 22:16-19 says, "What hast thou here? (Babylon) and whom hast thou here (the Satan-possessed False Prophet), that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here (at Babylon), as he (Satan) that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and THAT GRAVETH AN HABITATION FOR HIMSELF IN A ROCK (the planet Rahab)? Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee. He will surely violently TURN AND TOSS THEE LIKE A BALL INTO A LARGE COUNTRY (Iraq, not tiny Israel): there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house. And I will drive thee from thy station, and from thy state shall he pull thee down."
Zec 5:3,4 says, "This (the rolling binary asteroid that is twice as long as it is wide) is the curse that goeth forth (orbits) over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it (the stone tablet with 5 commandments was a type); and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it (the other stone tablet with 5 commandments on it was a type). I will bring it (the binary asteroid, like the two stone tablets) forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it (the asteroid) shall enter into the house of the thief (the False Prophet), and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name (the Tribulation Pope that claims infallibility): and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof." > > Rev.11, Daniel 12;11, Matt. 24:14, Mark 13:14, and Luke 21:20
Luke 21:20 is different from the other references. Notice that v. 11 mentions "great signs shall there be from heaven." That thought picks up again in v. 25.
In between verses 20 and 25, it seems to deal with the first century and the desolation of Jerusalem in 70 AD. Verse 24 says, "And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled."
The Roman armies first surrounded Jerusalem under Cestius Gallus in 66 CE. In 75 AD, Josephus said, "It then happened that Cestius was not conscious either how the besieged despaired of success, nor how courageous the people were for him; and so he recalled his soldiers from the place, and by despairing of any expectation of taking it, without having received any disgrace, he retired from the city, without any reason in the world." (Wars II. XIX. 6,7).
During this break in fighting, the Christians fled to Pella. It was a city across the Jordan, 55 miles NE of Jerusalem at the northern extremity of Perea. Pella, one of the 10 cities in Decapolis, was 17 miles south of the Sea of Galilee and 2.5 miles east of the Jordan River.
The reason the Christians fled may have had something to do with these strange happenings in 66 AD that Josephus wrote about. He said, "Thus there was a star resembling a sword, which stood over the city, and a comet, that continued a whole year. Thus also, before the Jews' rebellion, and before those commotions which preceded the war, when the people were come in great crowds to the feast of unleavened bread, on the eighth day of the month Xanthicus, [Nisan], and at the ninth hour of the night (3 AM), so great a light shone round the altar and the holy house, that it appeared to be bright day-time; which light lasted for half an hour. This light seemed to be a good sign to the unskilful, but was so interpreted by the sacred scribes as to portend those events that followed immediately upon it.
"At the same festival also, a heifer, as she was led by the high priest to be sacrificed, brought forth a lamb in the midst of the temple. Moreover, the eastern gate of the inner, [court of the temple,] which was of brass, and vastly heavy, and had been with difficulty shut by twenty men, and rested upon a basis armed with iron, and had bolts fastened very deep into the firm floor, which was there made of one entire stone, was seen to be opened of its own accord about the sixth hour of the night (midnight). Now, those that kept watch in the temple came thereupon running to the captain of the temple, and told him of it; who then came up thither, and not without great difficulty was able to shut the gate again....
"But the men of learning understood it, that the security of their holy house was dissolved of its own accord, and that the gate was opened for the advantage of their enemies. So these publicly declared, that this signal foreshewed the desolation that was coming upon them. Besides these, a few days after that feast, on the one-and-twentieth day of the month Artemisius, [Jyar], a certain prodigious and incredible phenomenon appeared; I suppose the account of it would seem to be a fable, were it not related by those that saw it, and were not the events that followed it of so considerable a nature as to deserve such signals; for, before sun-setting, chariots and troops of soldiers in their armor were seen running about among the clouds, and surrounding cities. Moreover, at that feast which we call Pentecost, as the priests were going by night into the inner [court of the] temple, as their custom was, to perform their sacred ministrations, they said that, in the first place, they felt a quaking, and heard a great noise, and after that they heard a sound as of a great multitude, saying, 'LET US REMOVE HENCE'" (Wars VI. V. 3).
Eusebius said that as the Romans approached Jerusalem, "THE PEOPLE BELONGING TO THE CHURCH AT JERUSALEM HAD BEEN ORDERED BY AN ORACLE REVEALED TO APPROVED MEN ON THE SPOT BEFORE THE WAR BROKE OUT, TO LEAVE THE CITY AND DWELL IN A TOWN OF PERAEA CALLED PELLA" (EH III:5). Epiphanius wrote of the same thing. To me, this sounds much like things Moses and Elijah will tell in the 1st half of the Tribulation. Maybe they will tell believers to flee to Petra.
The Christians fled to Pella on 8 Cheshvan (8th month) in 66 AD. The temple was burned on 9 and 10 Av (5th month) in 70 AD. On the Jewish calendar, that was 3 months shy of 4 years later.
In 1873, Ernest Renan said that the community at Pella lived on their savings, and that it was believed that God himself took it upon himself to feed them. Many saw in such a lot, so different from that of the Jews, a miracle predicted by the prophets (Renan, pp. 150-152).
"The destruction of Jerusalem was 'in the seventh year,' which was the year of release, when on this side Jordan they neither ploughed nor sowed, but beyond Jordan there was a harvest, and a tithing for the poor." ("Daniel 11:41, Edom, Moab, Ammon" (Submitted by: email@example.com).
The flight of Christians to Pella on Cheshvan 8 in 66 AD ties in with the still future flight of Christians (Messianic Jews) from Israel. Rev. 12:14 says, "And to the woman (Israel) were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time (3.5 years), from the face of the serpent." These are the ones that know the Scriptures well enough to recognize the "son of perdition," when he "as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God...Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders" (II Thess. 2:4,9).
Will Jerusalem be world's capital?
> > Rev.11
Rev. 11:1,2 says, "there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise (egeiro, lift up, take up, i.e., the Pre-Trib Rapture?), and measure the temple (naon, Holy Place, sanctuary, as distinguished from hieron, or temple in general, JFB) of God, and the altar (thusiasterion, a place of sacrifice, i.e. an altar), and them that worship therein (the wise Philadelphian virgins?)."But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles (ethnos, nations, i.e., Gentiles): and the holy city (Jerusalem) shall they tread under foot forty and two months."
The concept of the UN and UR having jurisdiction over the court of the temple and the city during the first half of the Tribulation seems to hold up in Rev. 11:1,2.
> > Daniel 12;11It says, "from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away (Mid-Trib, because the False Prophet 'sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God,' II Thess. 2:4), and the abomination that maketh desolate (the image of Rev. 13:15) set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days."
The beginning of the 1290 days is the day the False Prophet kills Moses and Elijah (Rev. 11:3,7). They won't worship him or bow down to his idol.
The 1290 day's end is 30 days past the 1260 days of the last half of Dan. 9:27's 70th week. The extra 30 days may be for mourning the dead. Nu. 20:29 says, "when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel."
> > Matt. 24:14
Mt. 24:14-16 says, "this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall THE END (telos, the point aimed at as a limit, the conclusion of an act or state, finally, uttermost, i.e., the Great Tribulation that is the finale of this Age) come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation (the image), spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains."
When the False Prophet puts the image at the temple and sits there "shewing himself that he is God" (II Thess. 2:4), the Great Tribulation has come.
Therefore, the False Prophet is in Jerusalem as the Great-Tribulation finale of this Age begins.
> > Mark 13:14
Mark 13:14-20 says, "when ye shall see the abomination of desolation (the idol), spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not (at the temple), (let him that readeth understand,) then (i.e., Mid-Trib) let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house: And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment. But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter. For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days." The Great Tribulation will be less than 1260 days.
Thus we can tell from these scriptures that the False Prophet is in Jerusalem when Mid-Trib comes. We also know that his "house" is at Babylon at the end of the shortened Tribulation.
From Zech. 5:4, we can tell that the house of both the thief (False Prophet) and the one that "sweareth falsely by my name" (the Tribulation Pope, who claims infallibility) will be in Babylon at the end of the shortened Tribulation when "the CURSE that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth (i.e., the binary asteroid) destroys their houses when the Wrath of God is poured out.
From Zech. 5:5-11, we can tell that the world church is moved to the land of Shinar, where the Tower of Babel was started (Gen. 11:2). Zech. 5:6-11 says, "This is an ephah (largest wheat measure, i.e., largest church) that goeth forth (to Babylon). He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth (i.e., it is the world church, the United Religions). And behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman (the harlot church of Rev. 17 and 18) that sitteth in the midst of the ephah. And he said, This is wickedness....Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women (two religious groups, i.e., Christians and pagans?), and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven. Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah? And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar (meaning change of the city): and it shall be established, and set there upon HER OWN BASE" (the Tower of Babel).
Rev 17:18 says, "the woman (harlot church) which thou sawest is that GREAT CITY (megas opolis) , which reigneth (lit., hath kingship over the kings, JFB) over the kings of the earth."
I've always thought this great city was Rome, but could it be Jerusalem?
Rev 18:16 says, "Alas, alas, that great city (Babylon), that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!"Rev 18:18 says, "And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!" What other city is clothed in fine linen and "reigneth over the kings of the earth"? Vatican City.Rev 17:3-5 says, "he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness (eremos, desert, i.e., Babylon): and I saw a woman (i.e., a religious group) sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy (like Pontifex Maximus, which all the leaders since Nimrod have been called), having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."
The 7 kings of Rev. 17:10 are the leaders of (1) Babel, (2) Babylon II, (3) Media-Persia, (4) Greece, (5) Imperial Rome, (6) Ecclesiastic Rome, and (7) Babylon.
Rev. 17:10 says, "there are seven kings: five are fallen (Babel through Imperial Rome), and one is (Ecclesiastic Rome, led by the Pontifex Maximus), and the other (Babylon III) is not yet come (i.e., at the time of the Pre-Trib Rapture, v. 14); and when he (the False Prophet) cometh, he must continue a short space."
I think the great city of Rev. 17:18 is Ecclesiastic Rome, i.e., Vatican City, not Jerusalem. When Vatican City is moved, she goes to the desert, the land of Shinar, i.e., Babylon, Iraq, not to the hills and valleys of Jerusalem. The temple area may come under the administration of the UN and UR, but I can't see Jerusalem as the world's capital.
