The Seventh Sample
IAA report shows Evidence for authenticity of “Jesus”

By Hershel Shanks

The Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) last summer declared the inscription on the James ossuary—which reads, “James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus”—to be a fake.* Since then, however, both the reasoning and the conclusion of the IAA report have been widely attacked by experts.** And the members of the committee have not responded to the criticism.

Now there is new reason to believe that at least the word “Jesus” on the ossuary is authentic....

Though six of the seven coating samples taken by Ayalon seemed to fit this theory, the seventh did not. And the one that didn’t fit the theory was in the word “Jesus”! The critical number produced by the isotopic examination of the coating sample from the word “Jesus” was within the range of the numbers produced by the authentic patina elsewhere on the ossuary....

The samples of (the unquestionably ancient) patina from the surface of the James ossuary produced delta numbers between –4 and –6. Samples of patina from other ossuaries in the IAA collection ranged between –4 and –5.

By contrast, six of the seven samples of the coating in the James ossuary inscription ranged from –7.5 to –10.2. It was this that led the IAA geologists to conclude that the coating in the inscription was produced in modern times.

But the seventh inscription sample was –5.8, well within the range of results from the authentic patina elsewhere on the James ossuary....

Unless Ayalon did this very sloppy job of taking the sample, it would appear that the seventh sample (from the word “Jesus”) was within the range of the samples taken from the genuine ancient patina taken from elsewhere on this ossuary. In short, either Ayalon was very sloppy in his sampling or the seventh sample appears to be authentic....

That the seventh sample is authentic is consistent with the finding of IAA committee member Orna Cohen, who stated that “a microscopic examination revealed the same yellowish patina as on the ossuary surface in the letters ‘brother of Jesus.’” Therefore, she wrote, “part of the inscription may be original.”...

“In my BAR article I called for the carbon isotope data on the samples Ayalon took, both from the inscription coating and the patina elsewhere on the surface of the ossuary. We now have this data. The delta carbon values for the ancient patina on the ossuary surface vary from –1.2 to –7.7. The delta carbon values for the inscription coating vary from –1.1 to –7.4—almost identical to the readings on the ancient patina.

“It is now clear why Ayalon did not include these carbon isotope results in his report to the IAA. They do not support his conclusion! The inscription coating is only anomalous in its oxygen isotopic composition and not in its carbon isotopic composition.”...

Now it turns out that the geologists on the IAA committee, whose views appear to underlie the committee decision as a whole, erred as well in assessing another inscription judged by the committee to be a fake, the so-called Jehoash inscription.** The inscription recounts repairs made to Solomon’s Temple and is engraved on a stone plaque.

According to IAA committee member Yuval Goren, a Tel Aviv University archaeologist who specializes in ceramics, the inscribed stone plaque is made of metamorphic greywacke. This type of stone is “not native to Israel,” Goren writes. In his judgment, the stone probably comes from Cyprus—no doubt imported by the forger.

But, according to a geologist who has seen it, the stone is not metamorphic greywacke. It is arkosic sandstone. And arkosic sandstone is common near the Dead Sea, in Sinai and at sites in Israel....

It is quite true that this error does not mean the inscription on the plaque is authentic. But until Goren explains how he made this mistake, it is hard to place much confidence in the geology on which the IAA committee based its conclusion....

Don’t Rush to Judgment

By David Noel Freedman

Some have claimed that the text and spelling of the controversial Jehoash tablet indicate an obvious forgery. Not so fast, counters a leading Bible scholar.

My comments

That statement was from their web site. When my copy of the BAR came, it said, "Nevertheless, a number of scholars have indicated they are not convinced that the inscription is a forgery. According to the BAR article just cited, these include Andre Lemaire of the Sorbonne; Ada Yardeni, a leading Israeli paleographer: and Gabriel Barkay, of Bar-Ilan University in Tel Aviv."

The jury is still out. I am not convinced that either the James-brother-of-Jesus Ossuary or the Jehoash tablet are fakes. Both broke, the first on its trip to Canada, the second as a policeman was putting it down gently on a table. These things are fragile. How could 14+ lines of writing be carved into this tablet without it breaking?

In the full-page picture of the Jehoash tablet in the magazine, the right edge of the break can be seen. It is just above the center of that edge. Having seen that, I can now pick it out in the picture above. Once you find that nick, the rest of the crack can be picked out. I assume that it was repaired before this picture was made.

'Silver scrolls' are oldest O.T. scripture, archaeologist says

By Gary D. Myers, 2-27-04

Significant scroll

NEW ORLEANS (BP)--While excavating a burial tomb near Jerusalem in 1979, Gabriel Barkay uncovered the oldest known copy of Old Testament scripture. The priestly blessing, recorded in Numbers 6:24-26, was discovered on two small silver scrolls dated to the 7th century B.C.

“This was a discovery of utmost importance,” said Barkay, professor of archaeology at Bar Ilan University near Tel Aviv. “These verses pre-date the famous Dead Sea Scrolls by approximately four centuries. They are the only biblical verses we have from the time of the First Temple [period].”...

“These scrolls are significant for the dating of the Old Testament. They provide evidence of the antiquity of the Bible.”

The two silver scrolls were discovered by Barkay’s team in a rock-hewn burial cave southwest of the ancient city of Jerusalem....

“It took us three years to unroll it [the larger scroll],” Barkay said. “When unrolled, it was covered with very delicately scratched characters. The first word we could decipher was the ‘YHWH’ –- sometimes anglicized as ‘Jehovah.’ This is the name of the Lord in the Hebrew Bible.”

Until this time no inscriptions with the name of God had been found in Jerusalem.

The larger of the two scrolls was only about three inches long when it was unrolled. The smaller one was just over two inches long. Barkay said the thin fragile silver of each scroll was etched with 19 lines of tiny, Hebrew script. It was years before researchers realized that the inscription was an almost exact representation of the priestly blessing found in Numbers. Careful study revealed that the Hebrew characters used were distinctive of the 7th century B.C.

In English the verses read: “The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” ...

Incoming email, Re: Movie, "Passion of the Christ"

People are flocking to see this movie and it may be the most seen movie ever and it is changing lives. It has come out at this particular time; perhaps it is for a reason.

Mel Gibson used his own money, produced and directed it, and co-wrote it. Gibson is a Christian who wanted this movie to express the last hours of Christ's life - a life He gave for us. That was Gibson's intent.

Mel Gibson is a devout Catholic. Gibson made a film about our Savior, Jesus Christ. He knows Christ is the bedrock of Catholic belief, just as I have been telling you for years. You are a great student of the Bible, but you have blinders on when it comes to the Catholic belief. Mel Gibson did not make a movie about Mary or the Pope or the Pope's hat or his staff or pictures or statues in the Catholic Church. He presented the death of our Savior as the scriptures tell it and the Catholic Church believes it. The Pope saw the movie and said, "It is as it was."

And, besides that, my little dog is going with me to heaven. I hope it happens in May. Love

Incoming email, Re: Article on elohim (Please read this and post it in kindness)

I see you didn't even comment on Dr. Stern's poor credibility.

My reply

I quoted the CJB (translated by David Stern) and the Hebraic-Roots Version, (translated by James Trimm) because I thought you might accept those versions over others. As for me, I go by Green's Interlinear when there is a question about the original Greek. My main study Bible is the KJV. I use Strong's Concordance for word meanings and refer to Young's Concordance, Thayer and Gesinius' Lexicons when necessary. I compare as many Bibles as I can get to when the KJV seems unclear. The Dead Sea Scrolls Bible is helpful in some cases. I'll be glad when more of the Dead Sea Scrolls are made available.

The Isaiah Dead Sea scroll proved the KJV reliable. The only mistake was the reversed words in Isa. 53:9. It should read "And he (i.e., 'the arm of the LORD,' v. 1) made his grave with the rich, and with the wicked, in his death." Yeshua was buried in a rich man's tomb, but he was crucified between two thieves, and the Isaiah scroll backs it up beautifully. It ties in perfectly with Isa. 53:12: "he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."

This is reliable. Isa. 52:5,6,10 (KJV) says, "Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD (YHVH), that my people (Israel) is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD (YHVH); and my name (YHVH, Yahweh) continually every day is blasphemed (pronounced Adonay? meaning Lord, from adon, meaning lord, master, owner). Therefore my people (Israel) shall know my name (YHVH, Yahweh): therefore THEY SHALL KNOW IN THAT DAY THAT I AM HE (YHVH of hosts, the Redeemer, Isa. 44:6, i.e., Yeshua, meaning Yahweh saves) that I AM HE that doth speak: behold, it is I....The LORD (YHVH) hath made bare HIS HOLY ARM (Yeshua) in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God (Elohim)." Her reply, John 1:1

I felt the need to keep writing you on this issue, even if we don't see eye-to-eye at the moment.

Bible translators who believe in the Trinity are going to translate John 1:1 as, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

Bible translators who don't believe in the Trinity are going to translate John 1:1 many different ways. Here are a few examples:

1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the word was like God
2) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the word was a God.
3) In the beginning was the Word, and everything that God was, the Word was.
4) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was divine.

The list really does go on...and on...

But the true question is this: When YOU read the Greek, what does it say? You and I are both going to be held accountable to God on judgement day. God is not going to accept the excuse, "So and so told me this so I believed it..." or "It isn't my fault, my pastor taught me such and such..."

God is going to hold each of us accountable according to our own actions.

So, this is what the Greek says in John 1:1, "En arche en ho Logos, kai ho Logos en pros tonTheon, kai theos en ho Logos".

All I'm asking from you is this...From one intelligent woman to another...Just read what it says, not what you have been told it says or what you think it says. Please, just read it as it is written.

My reply

According to the order of the Greek words, it says, "and God was the Word." However, the correct order of the words in an English translation is "and the Word was God," just as Green translated it. Greek has different rules for when the predicate nominative is before or after the verb, etc.

I Cor. 1:22-24 says, "the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God."

Eph. 3:8-11 says, "that I (Paul) should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Col 1:2,3 says, "That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ (Yeshua HaMashiach); In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."

Col. 2:8,9 says, "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. FOR IN HIM DWELLETH ALL THE FULNESS OF THE GODHEAD BODILY."

He "was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed" (Isa. 53:5). Agape

Asteroids made our watery world Heather Catchpole, 2-18-04

Oceans were formed after massive Moon-sized asteroids hit Earth, according to U.S. research.

The scientists say asteroids could be a key clue when looking for Earth-like planets in other solar systems.

Professor Jonathan Lunine, who is chief scientist on NASA's Cassini mission to Saturn, presented his group's research today at the Planetary Timescales conference in Canberra, Australia.

The results are also published in the current issue of the international journal Icarus.

The question of how water arrived on Earth has divided scientists. Some say water came from large rocky asteroids that eventually broke up to form the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Others say water came from outside the Solar System in the form of ice-bearing comets.

Lunine, who is from the University of Arizona in Tucsan, told ABC Science Online before his presentation that his group's results blew the comet theory "out of the stadium".

Lunine said there were two key pieces of evidence to support the asteroid theory of how water arrived on Earth.

First, his team looked at the composition of water on Earth, specifically the type of hydrogen in water, and compared that with the type of hydrogen found in comets and asteroids.

The researchers found the profile of deuterium, or heavy hydrogen, in water on Earth more closely matched the deuterium profile in asteroids.

This indicated Earth's water came mostly from asteroids that hit our planet early in the evolution of the solar system, Lunine said.

The Jupiter angle

Lunine's second piece of evidence came from computer modelling. His team used computer simulations to see the effect of Jupiter-sized planets on the amount of water on hypothetical Earths in other solar systems.

The reason why planets the size of Jupiter are important, said Lunine, is that their large gravity holds in asteroids, preventing them from escaping the solar system. Without that gravity, he said, the asteroids would not collide with planets to form oceans.

The researchers' computer modelling mainly generated Earth-like planets about the same distance as Earth is from the Sun.

But some of these hypothetical Earth-like planets were dry and some Lunine described as "waterworlds". The amount of water varied with the mass, position and orbit of the Jupiter-sized planet.

In the simulation, a Jupiter-like planet with a circular orbit kept in asteroids. But an eccentric or elliptical orbit sent asteroids out of the solar system before they had the chance to contribute water to a rocky planet.

But most of the 120 extrasolar planets discovered so far have eccentric orbits rather than the circular orbits that Lunine predicted would be more favourable to a watery world. Most extrasolar planets are also much closer to their star than Jupiter is to the Sun.

Lunine said that he was "not dismayed" because he believed more extrasolar planets with circular orbits similar to Jupiter's would be discovered as scientists found more extrasolar planets.

Already scientists have found extrasolar planets three or four times as far from their sun as Earth is to our Sun.

"These are the kinds of solar systems where Earth-like planets could coexist," said Lunine.

"We need to be prepared for many different kinds of rocky planets that could be found out there."

Incoming email, Re: Universal Salvation

From: Ralph Ramsey
Subject: "100 Scriptural Proofs That Jesus Christ Will Save All Mankind"
Written in 1840 by Thomas Whittemore

Here are ioo Scriptures showing a Final, Universal Salvation. Can you find ANY Scriptures that contradict them without making the Bible itself look like a mass of contradictions? [Of course, "aion and olam" translated incorrectly as "eternal, everlasting, forever" in the modern English sense sure do make it so.]

My reply

I can find lots of scriptures that refute his opinions.

> > He would not have created intelligent beings, had he known they were to be forever miserable. To suppose that God would bring beings into existence who he knew would be infinite losers by that existence, is to charge him with the utmost he was not under any necessity to create man, being also infinitely benevolent, he could not have conferred an existence that he knew would end in the worst possible consequences to his creatures.

Pure supposition. Not backed up with Scripture. One of the essences of God is perfect justice. If his laws are broken, the wages of sin are death. We are being tested. Will we or won't we obey God? We have to choose. Rom. 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." In Rom. 7:13, Jesus said, "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and BROAD IS THE WAY, THAT LEADETH TO DESTRUCTION, AND MANY THERE BE WHICH GO IN THEREAT."

> > God is the Father of all men; and, therefore, he cannot make mankind endlessly miserable.

He has no Scripture to back up his supposition.

> > It is THE WILL of God that all men shall be saved. "Who will have all men to be saved, and come unto the knowledge of the truth." KJV 1Tim. 2:4 By "all men", in this passage, is undoubtedly to be understood all the human race. Salvation comes through the belief of the truth. God wills that all men should come to the knowledge of the truth, and be saved thereby.
> > God gave all beings to Christ that he might save them. "Thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him." John 17:2 This plainly evinces, that it was God's design, in giving Christ dominion over all flesh, that they should all enjoy eternal life.

Eternal life is only given to "as many as thou hast given him."

We are given free choice. God does not bend us to his will against our will. If he did, we would be robots and there would be no evil in the world. God would be pleased if all men were saved, but he has set before us two ways, two gates.

The one that does not have faith in Christ does not have the salvation that is given to every one that believes.

In Rom. 1:16,17, Paul said, "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto SALVATION TO EVERY ONE THAT BELIEVETH; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed FROM FAITH TO FAITH: as it is written, THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."

Hab. 2:3-6 says, "the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his (the Beast of Rev. 13:2-10) soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY HIS FAITH (Christianity). Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell (Satan), and is as death (the False Prophet, Rev. 6:8), and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations (as head of the UN), and heapeth unto him all people (as head of the United Religions): Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long?" (42 months, 1st half of the Tribulation, Rev. 13:5).

Rom. 6:14,15,23 says, "ye are not under the law but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we (Christians) are not under the law, but UNDER GRACE? God forbid...For the wages of sin is death (i.e., to unbelievers); but THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE (i.e., to believers) THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD."

Only believers are quickened. Rom. 8:9,10 says, "But the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now IF ANY MAN HAVE NOT THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST, HE IS NONE OF HIS. AND IF CHRIST BE IN YOU, THE BODY IS DEAD BECAUSE OF SIN; BUT THE SPIRIT IS LIFE BECAUSE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also QUICKEN YOUR MORTAL BODIES BY HIS SPIRIT THAT DWELLETH IN YOU."

Rom. 3:22 says, "the righteousness of God which is BY FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST UNTO ALL AND UPON ALL THEM THAT BELIEVE."

Rom. 3:25,26 says, "THROUGH FAITH IN HIS BLOOD to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past...that he might be just, and the justifier of HIM WHICH BELIEVETH IN JESUS."

Rom. 3:28 says, "A MAN IS JUSTIFIED BY FAITH."

Gal. 3:24 says, "the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be JUSTIFIED BY FAITH."

Heb. 11:6 says, "Without FAITH it is impossible to please God."

Rom. 4:20-24 says that Abraham "staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God...therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness....for us also, to whom IT SHALL BE IMPUTED, IF WE BELIEVE on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again FOR OUR JUSTIFICATION."

Rom. 5:1,2 says, "being JUSTIFIED BY FAITH, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also WE HAVE ACCESS BY FAITH INTO THIS GRACE wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God."

> > 1st. God hath given all things to Christ. 2d. All that God hath given him shall come to him; and 3d. him that cometh he will in nowise cast out. All are given; all shall come; and none shall be cast out. What is the unavoidable conclusion?

Not what he thinks. We are being tested. I Peter 1:7 says, That THE TRIAL OF YOUR FAITH, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ."

> > God has no other will besides the will to save all men. "He is in one mind, and who can turn him." Job 23:13.

Read the context. Isn't it God's will that we are being tested? and if tested given the freedom to choose? Job 23:10-14 says, "But he knoweth the way that I take: WHEN HE HATH TRIED ME, I shall come forth as gold. My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth. For HE PERFORMETH THE THING THAT IS APPOINTED FOR ME."

Heb. 9:27 says, "IT IS APPOINTED UNTO MEN ONCE TO DIE, BUT AFTER THIS THE JUDGMENT." You are trying to change this decree, but nowhere are we told we get a second chance. You are up against a block wall.

> > God must have created only to bless. "Love worketh no ill." But God was not poured into this mold. Man has to choose which gate he will go through. Way back in De. 30:7,19, man was told that "the LORD thy GOD WILL PUT ALL THESE CURSES UPON THINE ENEMIES, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee....I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I HAVE SET BEFORE YOU LIFE AND DEATH, BLESSING AND CURSING: THEREFORE CHOOSE LIFE, that both thou and thy seed may live." Man still has this choice to make.

> > God has purposed the salvation of all men. "Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure, which he hath purposed in himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of times, he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth, even in him." (Eph. 1:9,10)

It is "all things IN CHRIST," not all men. Only believers are in Christ.

Rom. 3:24 says, "Being JUSTIFIED freely by his grace through the REDEMPTION THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS."

Rom. 8:1,2 says, "There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION TO THEM WHICH ARE IN CHRIST JESUS, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS HATH MADE ME FREE FROM THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH." All are under the law of sin and death until they accept Christ.

II Tim. 3:15 speaks of our, "SALVATION THROUGH FAITH which is in Christ Jesus."

> > Isaiah represented, that there was no sin which might not be pardoned. "Though you sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." (Isa. 1:18) The evident intent of this language is, that there was no sin so deep-dyed in the soul, that it could not be washed away. That is here said of Israel, is true of every individual.

Mt. 12:32 says, "whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it SHALL NOT BE FORGIVEN HIM, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."

> > He furthermore declares, that "God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes ; and THERE SHALL BE NO MORE DEATH, neither sorrow, nor crying ; neither shall there be any more pain ; for the former things are passed away." (Rev. 21:4) Thus, we see the doctrine of eternal weeping, eternal sighing, eternal sorrow, eternal pain, is false; false as the Bible is true. And, although we read, in the Scriptures, of the second death, yet, if we read of thirty deaths, it would be no argument against Universalism, since the time is to come, when "THERE SHALL BE NO MORE DEATH."

Rev. 21:8 says, "But the fearful, and UNBELIEVING, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, SHALL HAVE THEIR PART IN THE LAKE WHICH BURNETH WITH FIRE and brimstone: which is the second death."

> > (1 Cor. 15:54,55) At the resurrection of the dead, then, God will destroy Sheol, HELL. He does not raise His creatures from the dead in order to punish them forever in sheol,(Hell) for sheol (Hell) shall then be destroyed.

Don't listen to this guy. The word Hell doesn't appear in I Cor. 15:54,55, much less its destruction. Rev. 20:14,15 says, "DEATH AND HELL WERE CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE. This is the second death (i.e., death of the soul, not the spirit). And WHOSOEVER WAS NOT FOUND WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE." Those in hell wind up in the Lake of Fire.

Rev. 20:10 says, "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the LAKE OF FIRE and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, AND SHALL BE TORMENTED DAY AND NIGHT FOR EVER AND EVER."

Isa. 66:24 says, "And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for THEIR WORM SHALL NOT DIE, NEITHER SHALL THEIR FIRE BE QUENCHED; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh."

Mark 9:43-48 says, "if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into THE FIRE THAT NEVER SHALL BE QUENCHED:
44 Where their worm dieth not, and THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.
45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into THE FIRE THAT NEVER SHALL BE QUENCHED:
46 Where their worm dieth not, and THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.
47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

John 5:28,29 says, "for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."

Isa. 51:6 says, "MY SALVATION SHALL BE FOR EVER, and my righteousness SHALL NOT BE ABOLISHED."

II Thess. 1:7-9 says, "And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: WHO SHALL BE PUNISHED WITH EVERLASTING DESTRUCTION FROM THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD, and from the glory of his power."

Those in the "resurrection of damnation" end up where "the fire is not quenched." Damnation is forever. Salvation is forever. God's righteousness can't be abolished. The Lord wins. Satan loses. Game over. Agape
