This may be the most important week of all to keep watching Note: I wish I could get the HTML on and get these posted for you faster, but my neck, shoulder, arm and "mouse" hand are hurting so much in spite of taking Motrin, it is hard. I am now trying Aleve (Naproxin Sodium). Hope it works.
Some have asked what I did the night of May 30/31. Didn't mean to, but I slept. My shoulder and hand ached, I threw my back out of place vacuuming, so laid down "for a few minutes" and woke up the next morning still in my clothes. I don't think there was anything that didn't hurt. I was in what seemed like total pain from head to foot. I had planned to stay up all night like the Jews. Didn't work out that way. Maybe I'll do better next week. Anyway, like the ten virgins, I "slumbered and slept."
Looks like some weeds have been cleared in the wheat field on the far side. Harvest approaches.
Incoming Email DRESS REHEARSAL (email@example.com (Sher bond), Tue 10:24 AM)
Marilyn, you said Revelations was like a play....Looks like we just had dress rehearsal.
(Note: Another told me *ahead of time* that it would be a "dress rehearsal.")
How appropriate for TRUE PENTECOST TO FALL ON THE GREEK ORTHODOX DATE, THE TRUE BIBLICAL DATE. COUNTING OF THE OMER ACCORDING TO LEVITICUS 23, NOT MANS TRADITION...And the last 7 words of the bible have a Gematria of 8991 (or), right to left =1998)
Marilyn, with God as my witness, I was only going to Put "TRUE PENTECOST" in caps above, but I could not get my typewriter out of caps till I completed my thought.....God Is In Control. Glad to be in the family. Please sign my name to your website as I have been blessed to have found you. Sherry Ann Bond (Sher A. Bond) Paris, Texas.
PS. Marilyn, yesterdayI wrote you that I was typing TRUE PENTECOST and then I could not get my keyboard out of caps...I could not even delete what I had typed...until I finished with NOT MANS TRADITION, now I realize that when I typed LEVITICUS 23 (in all caps) the 23 should have read @# but it printed out fine! Also as I was typing and trying to erase/delete the caps while hitting my delete key the numbers 07 appeared on screen....I was able to hit delete again and erase that....Wow.
Waiting And Watching And Praying.
(Note: one other had automatic caps happen. Have to find it.)
Incoming Email No need to answer this, as you are in need of rest. It was a great dress rehearsal! I know that I, and undoubtedly many others, thought through many personal issues during the last few weeks, preparing my heart. This is of great value, and I will henceforth be living my life with more expectancy than I ever did before. With love from a sister in the Lord
Incoming Email I moved to our familys cottage for the weekend (31.05.1998) I waited at midnight, at the time of Saturn's rise and over. It was puzzling, and disappointing that He did not come. I know the time was so well based on scripture and signs of heavens (Haley Bopp, etc.) that I soon started to wonder maybe June 7:th could be the date. ( The book of apocalypse is full of sevens). Then we, who have advocated May 31 - would - sort of - 'have tribulation for seven days'.
(Note: The number seven is the number of completion."
I thought I never return to town anymore, but here I am and immediately checked to see what's new on your site -and seem to find many who think - and find points in scripture to back their case - that June 7 1998 could be it !!!!!!!
Incoming Email SNOW in North Dakota on June 2, It's Christmas in North Dakota
Weekend News Today, Source: New York Times
Tue Jun 2, 1998 -- Those white flakes in the air this morning weren't airborne dandelion seeds. Portions of north-central North Dakota awoke to a half-inch or more of snow. "It looks like Christmas," said Linda Evenson, a waitress at the Last Chance Cafe in Portal, just south of the Canadian border. "All white." At the International Peace Garden, which straddles the U.S.-Canada border, executive director Rob Schultz said this morning that it was snowing "quite heavily. There's a good inch right now." (AP)
Incoming Email More Snow !!!
No summer here! Up to 1 1/2 inches of snow falls in N.D., Minn. June 2, 1998
PORTAL, N.D. (AP) Those white flakes in the air this morning weren't airborne dandelion seeds. Portions of North Dakota and Minnesota were hit with an inch or more of snow.
"It looks like Christmas,'' said Linda Evenson, a waitress at the Last Chance Cafe in Portal, N.D., just south of the Canadian border. "All white.''
At the International Peace Garden, which straddles the U.S.-Canada border, executive director Rob Schultz said this morning that it was snowing "quite heavily. There's a good inch right now.''
"We were up all night covering flowers,'' he said. "We've got about 30,000 flowers out in the park.''
Incoming Email SNOW 6-3-98
I live in Rapid City, South Dakota, I woke up this morning and there was snow on the ground. It snowed across central Canada and in North Dakota, yesterday.
As I was waiting on saturday for 4:00 (12:00 Israel), The temperature was about 85, at about 3:30 I looked to the north and I noticed a large dust cloud coming toward us. Five minutes later the temp had dropped to 50 and the wind was blowing very fiercely. Later on that evening this same north wind wiped out the entire town of Spencer, SD(population 300),it literlaly blew it off the map, killing 6 and injuring 150. This same storm system caused damage across MN, WI, MI and IA, killing 9 more people.

Thanks. I'm hoping, but whatever else, I am as ready as I know how to be, and intend to stay that way.
Incoming Email Thank you so much for all the work you have done and continue to do for the Lord. Completion of the heavens and earth was on the sixth day, and then God rested and I assumed admired his creation. Could it be that we will be with him on the seventh day after Pentecost worshiping him in completion and made holy by our Lord Jesus Christ? I have been awakened by the Holy Spirit thru your studies and want you to know all your hard work and dedication truly must make God very pleased that you were a special creation that he is very proud of.
Incoming EmailI just want to let you know that if it was God's purpose to have your books, and web site to serve as a "wake up call" it has definately woken me up.And from reading other people mail it appears they have been drawn nearer to christ too, which is what Jesus would want in the end. I was a bit dissappointed that Jesus did not come on the 31st but it has strengthened my faith as it is easy to be all hyped up and prepared when you have a time but takes more trust and paitence to keep the excitment up and wait.
I remember a few months ago when I saw your response to an non christian letter and how you responded to him, and latter on he became a christian. I believe that God is using your site to let people know about him as well as drawing people closer to him. I'd also like to commend you on your humbleness, this is also a great testimony.
Thanks for a great web site
My reply Thanks for your encouraging words. I have so many emails that I will probably never get to answer them all, but I read them, appreciate them, and will post them as I am able. Hope to see you in glory next weekend. In His love
Incoming EmailHello again :) For some reason, I just feel compelled to e-mail you over and over again! ha!Ý It's amazing to me, how all of a sudden people are finding this little bit of "silver" (the seven day wait) the day after the Rapture was supposed to happen. If it is true, God is truly amazing isn't he?Ý He kept us from noticing that til just now.Ý He is wonderful!
I can easily tell you the reason why you're receiving so many supportive and loving e-mails.Ý Because you studied the Bible for so long with an obvious love and didn't try to add words to what you had found!Ý It was full of honest determination! :)Ý All I can do now is wait for these next 7 days to pass and hope He comes for us.Ý It's amazing what an expectancy like this can do to your emotions isn't it?Ý I went through a little fear and then joy but with mourning in my heart for my husband because he denies God.Ý I've prayed for him so long and hard, and haven't seen any response from him.Ý In a way, I almost want to be here to protect him and help him during the Tribulation.Ý But I know the Lord will if he is to be saved.Ý So I've left him a lot of books along with the Bible and a little note tucked inside under the bed.Ý He told me one time that if the Rapture ever did happen and we all suddenly just disappeared, that would make a believer out of him real quick!Ý Hope so!Ý Both Saturday and Sunday night, I put my 4 year old daughter in bed with me and held her while she slept as the hour came around.Ý I guess I'll be doing that again this weekend.Ý But hopefully we'll be in the prescence of our heavenly Father at that time!Ý :)
Thanks again Marilyn, and keep up the hard work!
(Note from Marilyn: Someone help me if you can. How can I get rid of all those funny E's in the above without selecting every space and typing in a single space? (Sometimes they look like funny N's.) My "mouse" hand is worn out. I use a Mac and BBEdit Lite. I used Search and Replace, put in a double space to be replaced with a single space, didn't work, put in a copy of the space where the "E" appears to be replaced with a single space, didn't work either. Detab, replace with 1 space didn't work either. I am no computer whiz and do not know what else to try.)
Thanks for your kindness.
I waited patiently from June 5, 1968 till May 31, 1998, and can wait patiently as long as it takes, but it sure would be nice if these people that emailed me about a delay are right and we only have to wait until this weekend....In His abundant love
Incoming EmailI just wanted to let you know that your web site has, indeed, been a wakeup call for me, and the insights in your books have opened my eyes to so much!Ý Whatever God's timetable for the rapture, your work has been a tremendous inspiration to me.
Incoming EmailGod Bless You For All Of Your Hard Work!
I am a --- Pastor and came across your page several months ago. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour in 1970 (age 14) and have "felt" since that time that He would return in my lifetime. In 1980, a year after I finished college, my Pastor asked me if I had ever considered going into the ministry. I said no, never. However, from that time forward (November 1980) the seed was planted. I struggled with the "call" until the summer of 1982 when something I'll never forget happened to me. I was praying one Saturday night, still struggling with my call into the ministry, when I heard the words (in my head and in my heart) "Prepare the way for my return." Not long after that experience, I was enrolled in my first Greek class in preparation for the ministry.
As I mentioned, I have felt since 1970 that we were in the "end times." I share this with people one-on-one but rarely from the pulpit. We are a "seeker sensitive" church...and these baby Christians just are not ready for this message. Yes, it does get frustrating not to be able to get up every Sunday morning and really let go. But I am sincerely trying to be "as wise as a serpent and as harmless as a dove."
Anyway, the reason that I am writing is just to encouage you as your brother in Christ. I have your books and your research is incredible. We are on the same page as I tell my church "Don't take my word for anything. Go to Scripture, humble yourself, pray for the Holy Spirit to teach you and He will reveal all truth to you." To me, someone who sets themself up as a "false teacher" is someone who says "listen to me" instead of saying "go and study your Bible and God will teach you."
Again, God bless you. Thank you for the impact your teaching has had on my life and hopefully, we will meet sometime in the very near future.
My reply Thanks for sharing this with me. I think it must be hard to find that enough-but-not-too-much place in dealing with people that cannot take in too much "honey" at one time. They have to be led along gently. Some grow slowly and others fast. Both have to be fed. I know it is not easy.
In my own life, after much study, I got to the place that I thought I was not getting fed on Sunday mornings. At first, I resented it, thinking that we were going over the baby stuff over and over again and never getting any tidbit of deeper things. I wanted to learn at least one new thing each time. I thought that the unsaved and baby Christians did need what was being taught, but that part of the message should be directed to ones older in the faith too.
I started going to David Hocking's Calvary Church of Santa Ana. I did not always agree with him on every point, such as when he said he was not sure whether there were giants or not, but he was one that I could learn from. Coming from a teaching background, he was very well organized. His message was outlined. He told us briefly what he was going to say, then said, "Number one," etc. When I walked out the door, I remembered what he had said, and I usually learned something. I was still thrilled when I left.
I can't tell you how many churches I have walked out the door afterward and already could not remember what was said. It was not because I was not paying attention, but because there was not one shred of new information. Anything new stuck in my brain. Everything else was so old-hat that it went in one ear and out the other. I had heard it, and heard it, and heard it. Some seemed like sermons out of a book instead of out of the Bible. There seems to always be something new to learn from the Bible. It has depths to plumb that we haven't even gotten to yet.
I had to get over my attitude. I had to learn that the real reason to go to church was just to worship the Lord. If I learned something, that was a bonus. At this point, I decided that as long as the right things about Christ were being taught, I could worship with any congregation. By that time, I knew enough to know if what was being taught was the truth or not. However, I still looked for churches where they opened their Bibles and studied straight from Scripture. If it says it right there in the Bible, it is true. You can stake your life on it.
See you in glory
Incoming EmailDear one in Christ, please do give yourself a rest, and then, please do continue the Lord's work on your website. So many people are blessed! Even if you can only selectively address the E-mail, so many people are fed. There is so much spiritual meat in what you have to say! We all know the Lord will take us to be with him soon. Please be encouraged!
See you soon!
My reply I really need a rest, but what if the Rapture was this week end. I would wish I had worked as hard as I could this week....
Incoming EmailEven though May 31 didn't turn out to be the day we hope for, Marilyn, you've done a lot of good for a lot of people. Your web site and books have caused many to think about the Lord's return, and to put their thoughts in order.
Our time is like the days of Noah. People are caught up in the concerns of this life, and miss the bigger picture. The prospect of Christ's return just isn't real to the majority of people living today. Yet more than any other generation, ours seems most likely to see the Lord's promises fullfilled while we yet live.
I, for one, intend to keep visiting your web site on a regular basis, to continue hearing your thoughts, and to follow the lively debates, Pro and Con. I believe that the Lord has a special gift reserved for those who long for his coming. That longing creates a natural desire to look for clues in God's word, to unravel what He has hidden until the last days. So keep on trying to put the puzzle together, Marilyn!
You were wrong about May 31, 1998. Big deal. You never claimed to be a prophet. It takes guts to put any theory forward, even more guts to be specific, and heroic bravery to put it on the Internet for everyone to see. I think that you are on the right track in many of your theorems, such as the significance of the 6-day war.
This month, this year, next year, this lifetime, it doesn't matter. Christians should feel pumped at the prospect of meeting Christ in the air. God is so good, and so gracious. He may be delaying Yeshua's return, holding back his wrath, so that more people can experience the saving grace of Jesus Christ. This is the great God I know, and He will do everything He has promised to do, in his time. Clues have been left for those who long for Christ's return. Perhaps it isn't possible to discern an exact date. Which is more important? To know exactly when the first raindrops fall, or to know that the storm of the ages is coming? Thank you for raising awareness of the coming King!
Incoming Email I just wanted to say thankyou for being willing to obey God and speak out as He commanded. God is never late and all things will come to the end that He has ordained. Nothing can change the love I feel for Him. On Sunday afternoon, here in Hamilton,Ontario, I believe that the Lord showed me a sign in the heavenlies that the rapture is very near. There had been tornado warnings in our area and the sky was full of black clouds at 5PM. Just underneath the black clouds there were small white fluffy clouds and as the wind began to shift the little clouds started to spread out into a fan shape of long white feather like tendrils. It almost looked like a huge angel's wing. I have never seen anything remotely like that cloud formation and as I gazed at it I was filled to overflowing with the peace and love of God. It was as if the Holy Spirit was just giving me a little taste of the glory of the rapture. I'll be watching and waiting with you! God bless you!
My reply Thanks, and God is never wrong. It is our understanding that lags behind. In his love
Incoming Email I have been studying the Bible on and off now for 30 years, and in that time I've heard all kinds of predictions about when the Rapture would occur, but I never paid any attention to them. At least not until I read your analysis and reasoning, and the reasoning of a few others. No past prediction has ever had the scriptual support and logic that went into your effort. Even I was hopeful that it might actually be, and I'm a Berean (spirtually speaking). But alas, we will have to wait a bit longer. Still, you should be very proud of your effort, Marilyn. Not everyone could have achieve as much.
Incoming Email thanks for the "wake up" call.
Now that 5/31/1998 has come and gone, I feel that I have an even better chance of being with the bride of Christ. I think I was "racing" to change my life asap, hopefully I have done that I can endure patiently. There is not a doubt in my mind that changes will come soon, and that God had you in his plans all along. thanks again
My reply And thank you. You know how the Jews say maybe Jerusalem next year? Well, maybe New Jerusalem next week. In His love
Incoming Email I just want to thank you for all the information you have provided on your web page! You know it was not only a wake up call for me, but my 12 yr old daughter and I had alot of fun doing the countdown from Easter.
As the day progressed she kept saying "I know for sure He's coming Mom!" We watched the sky, listened for a trumpet blast, and when our satellite went off line we went outside to look! She had several phone calls from friends who couldn't stand the suspense of waiting. When 11pm Pacific time rolled around, we decided if we fell asleep we could still hear the trumpet.
Sunday morning we both pouted a little, but did check to make sure all our Christian friends were still here! We went to church (most of the churches in our community gathered together at the local high school just to praise the Lord and give him thanks. This was a huge accomplishment, a first for our community, and on Pentecost sunday even!)
Anyway, we are still looking...waiting....praying....and thanking God that he placed a special woman on this earth who would share with us the wealth of information he has given you!We are not down hearted, we are not depressed, we are not discouraged, but we are blessed, we are chosen, and we are redeemed, and our redeemer is on his way! Love Ya
Incoming Email I've been studing prophecy over twenty years now and want you to know that your book put all the missing pieces together for me. I knew there was no way to know the time of the return because of the "no man knows" quote from Jesus. Everytime I would read the "no man knows" part, my mind would immediately think of where God said He tells everything to His prophets. Not sure what to believe, I decided I would never read books with dates. I was not happy when I got home with your book and saw you were predicting dates, but it was too hot to go back to the book store so I read it. It is the most informative book I have ever read.
When Sunday came and went with no rapture, I thought about how I had mis-read the "no man knows" part, and I thought about how your book taught me how incredibly accurate the prophecys in the past were fulfilled down to the small, minute details. So I re-read the rapture prophecys.
Look at the ten virgins story again. They went out to meet the bridegroom BEFORE the cry rang out. He was a long time in coming so they fell asleep. HOW did they know to go out in the first place if He hadn't called out yet????? They somehow knew it was time. I believe they were just like us this past weekend. We went out to meet Him before we heard a call and he did not come.
I am hoping the seven days Noah spent in the boat before the flood came means we have seven days to wait from this past Sunday when WE went to meet Him. This may well be a test to see how strong our faith is. If this is true, then one-half of the believers who "went out" this past Sunday will not have enough faith to even last one week.
I certainly want to hear the call as soon as possible, but if it's a long time to come, it does'nt matter. What I learned from your book will keep my faith strong until the call does come.
Hang in there, Marilyn. You have NOTHING to be ashamed of or to worry about. It will be here soon.
Incoming Email The day has come and gone and we are still here....and God is still on His throne.
Thank you for your efforts over the years and especially the last few weeks. I know you are tired. I have learned so much reading your material and grew in my Christian walk in the anticipation and the disappointment. I believe much of your information is correct, even though the exact date was not. As we approached the day and then the hour, I endevoured to be as holy as possible before my Lord, but I fell short of the mark. How clear it is to me how desperately I need a Saviour. Praise God I have Him in my heart. I am so pleased that most of your mail is positive. The Bride of Christ is gentle and compassionate, mature and gracious with love for their sister in Christ. It is so edifying to read your mail as it reveals the nature of the Body of Christ - so much hope and love for the Lord. Thanks again for all you have done. In His Love
P.S. My wife --- says she feels like she was packed and ready for a cruise and at the last minute it was cancelled!
My reply This outpouring of encouragement is a surprise to me. There are far more Christians out there with the love of God in their hearts than those that say, "Take off your Web site" or call me a "false prophet," even though I have said I was not a prophet and can make mistakes.
Let's see what happens this next weekend. The wheat in the field is still unharvested and there is more snow. For myself, I have a wait and see attitude right now.
Incoming Email Just to let you know, Pentecost for we who are Orthodox Christians is this Sunday, June 7th.Ý We "begin" the day as do the Jews, on the evening before.Ý Thus, the time of Pentecost for us is appx. 6:00pm, Saturday, June 6th through appx. 6:00pm June 7th (Eastern Time).Ý In our parish, we hold the service of Vespers (i.e., evening prayer) beginning at 5:00pm.Ý This is the last service of the day; it ends with the beginning of the new day (appx. 6:00pm) and, in some parishes, with the service of Matins (i.e., morning prayer).
This date is for all of the Orthodox who follow the Gregorian Calendar--there are "Old Calendarists" who still follow the Julian Calendar.Ý They are about 14 days behind.Ý The majority of Orthodox Christians follow the Gregorian Calendar, however.
Incoming Email i just hit your web site, and am glad to hear that many people are showing God's kind of love to you still.
i can only add:
your books are awesome.
your web site is awesome.
your spirit is awesome.
y(our) Savior is awesome!
great job on all fronts.
My reply Thanks. Maybe next week in New Jerusalem.
Incoming Email New to the net [past January] and having written you a couple of times surprised at your 'bride different than the entire body of Yeshua doctrine' as I thought I was the only one taught that by my father (^.^) I had to check in just to see if you were still around. It took me all of this time to finally do it. Dad is still here, by the way. Anyway, I truly longed for His coming this weekend, at Shavuot. Your current teaching on Noah's seven days has, as usual..., some great study intrigue. I, like the rest of your e-mailers, feel deflated however, totally awake and wanting and watching. Of course, at the jest and leers of people who I have tried to share this with "Oh, following a date-setter are you . . . " The Lord is quietly calling many of the body to sit up and STUDY THE DATES that He has set. Keep working girl, there is some daylight left . . . Love, encouragement and Peace and grace
My reply Thanks. There may not be much daylight left. We had better stay ready.
Incoming Email Here's an interesting little parallel I saw this morning:
In Matthew 25 we read:
1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2Ý And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3Ý They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4Ý But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5Ý While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6Ý And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Notice verse 5:Ý While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
I believe Jesus was very subtly alluding to the disciples imminent performance in the Garden of Gethsemane found in the next chapter:
36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. 37Ý And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. 38Ý Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. 39Ý And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. 40Ý And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? 41Ý Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. 42Ý He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. 43Ý And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy. 44Ý And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. 45Ý Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Jesus knew the frailties of human flesh and that waiting produces weariness.
(41Ý Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak) Let Him not find us asleep or drowsing with heavy eyes . . let's continue to press in and watch expectantly for what will hopefully be his soon return!
Here's a REALLY wild thought!! See if you like this! . . .
What if the 10 virgins represented only those Christians who had "kept themselves" (in a state of simple childlike faith) by being prepared to at least believe His return was imminent and accordingly "went forth to meet him"?
Let's set the scene . . (with a little imagination)! . . It's 6pm. The word's gone out "He's coming!" - Some say "You're joking" but the 10 virgins who believe this, go forth to meet him. It's dusk, the start of the night, so they all take their lamps.
Isn't it interesting that in verse 6 (6 hours later maybe?) we read "at midnight there was a cry made" - (COME UP!!!)
Could the 6 hours represent 6 days after the initial "He's coming" alert (given by you and others)?
The foolish virgins may represent those who stopped believing after the first "no show".
(As I said in my previous email to you, I'm extremely interested in the coming weekend!!) God Bless you! In His love
My reply Yes. I am interested in this weekend's events too.
