Ride Saturn's Rings The rings of Saturn have never looked like this before as Cassini catches their waves of light.

Rev. 4:3 says, "And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper (last stone in the breastplate, i.e., he is the last) and a sardine stone (first stone in the breastplate, i.e., he is also the first) and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald." The emerald is the stone that represents the tribe of Judah. Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

Jim Bramlett - 11-19-04...

As to the Greek word parousia, with or without an "s," several of you have sent me information. The most exhaustive is from a reader and Greek language student in Malaysia. She says:

Quote: Greek has its own grammatical nuances, it does not use sigma 's' to indicate a plural word like in English.

There are 3 genders of nouns in Greek: masculine, feminine, and neuter. And each gender has its own set of case (nominative, genitive, dative and accusative) and number (either singular or plural), thus, there are 8 combinations of case & numbers for each gender of a noun.

Parousia is a feminine word. And accordingly, there are three situations when the word ends in an 's'
(i) parousias [a Genitive singular feminine word]
(ii) parousiais [a dative plural feminine word]
(iii) parousas [an accusative plural feminine word]

Only the second and third situation gives a plural whereas the first is a singular word.

The article 'the' that follows the noun is a useful hint as it will always be in agreement in case, gender and number to the noun.

In all the six scripture verses quoted in the article above about the parousia word ending with an 's' ,
Matt 24.3; Phil 1.26; 2Thess 2.1, 8; James 5.7 and 2 Peter 3.4, my check with the Greek text reveals that in all the six cases the Greek words used are... Genitive singular feminine noun (situation (i) and it carries the meaning 'of/ through/ regarding the coming'

Jesus return: Can we know when?

From: Jim Bramlett, 11-22-04

Can we know exactly when Jesus will return? Well, I don't know exactly when He will return, nor do I know anyone who does.

However, the Scriptures indicate that at least the approximate date will be known by some people of God's choosing. This idea is contrary to some who quickly point out that Jesus said, "But of that day and hour knoweth no man" (Matthew 24:36 KJV). But Jesus' words here are in the present tense, addressed to His hearers at the time, and not to those alive at the end of the age when Daniel's vision would be unsealed (Daniel 12:9). This would be similar to Matthew 16:20: "Then he warned His disciples not to tell anyone that He was the Christ." Even if the "day and hour" restriction is literally valid today, it may be because the Earth is in 24 time zones and always in two different days.

Jesus also said, "but my Father only" knows, which pins the statement to His hearers at the time, when Jesus was still on the earth, because surely there are now no secrets in the Trinity between the Father and the glorified Son, who are truly One. Also, in context, He seems to be speaking of heaven and earth passing away (v. 35), not other end-time events.

Some believers condemn other believers who are seeking God's clues, either from the Scriptures or by personal revelation. It is interesting that it was apparently by personal revelation, not Scripture, that many people knew the exact day of Elijah's rapture (2 Kings 2)! Are there types in the Old Testament? Do God's principles repeat themselves?

Doubters may mention Paul's words that the day of the Lord will come like "a thief in the night" (1 Thessalonians 5:2). But many believers have so misunderstood these verses that they are oblivious to the times, not watching for the Lord as He commanded, and are often absorbed by the cares of this world and their own agendas.

1. It is clear that Jesus will not come as a "thief in the night" for watchful believers, because in the very same passage, verse 4, Paul tells us, "But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief." If we are trusting in Christ and looking for His coming, Paul said that even the very DAY does not have to surprise us!

2. Jesus exhorted, "If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief" (Revelation 3:3, KJV), obviously saying He will come as a thief only to those not watching! But for those watching, He will NOT come as a thief.

3. Jesus rebuked those who did not understand the signs of the times in His day: "O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky, but can ye not discern the signs of the times" (Matthew 16:3).

4. Of the end of the age, Jesus said, "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh"(Luke 21:28). He said we would know when it is near!

5. God said, "Surely the sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing it to His servants the prophets" (Amos 3:7, NIV). God said "nothing," and He did not exclude Christ's return. I take Him at His word.

6. God not only knows the end from the beginning, He tells us that He makes it known! "I make known the end from the beginning, fro mancienttimes, whatisstilltocome."(Isaiah 46:10). He has already made it known! I personally believe it has been hidden in His Word all along, to be unlocked in His timing. There is nothing wrong with seeking! No doubt, it pleases God.

7. God said, "I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I shewed it thee" (Isaiah 48:5, KJV).

8. Jesus said the Holy Spirit "will teach you all things" (John 14:26). He said "all things." Did Jesus make a mistake, forgetting to exclude when He will return? I don't think so.

9. Friends confide in one another. Abraham was called God's "friend" (Isaiah 41:8; James 2:23). "And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do" (Genesis 18:17). Now, because of Jesus' atonement, we are called friends of God: "I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends" (Jesus, John 15:15).

10. Ecclesiastes 1:9 says "What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun" (NIV). Many Bible students believe that ancient events and dating in the Bible are shadows and clues that foretell the coming of the Lord, even the timing. An example is the six days of creation, seen as 6,000 years of man's dominion over the earth, before the return of the Lord and the seventh, or Sabbath Millennium of peace, with Christ ruling in Jerusalem. According to scholars, we are now at the end of 6,000 years since Adam

There are other such passages. God clearly promised that we would know at least approximately when Christ will return, and even "the day" will not surprise us, as the Holy Spirit reveals through Paul!

In addition, there is ample precedent for God revealing specific times in advance.

1. He gave Noah advance notice of when the flood would be (Genesis 6,7).

2. He told Abraham how long the Israelites would be in Egypt (Genesis 15:13).

3. As mentioned, He revealed to many the very day of Elijah's rapture (2 Kings 2).

4. He told Jeremiah how long the Babylonian exile would be (Jeremiah 29:10).

5. He told Daniel exactly when Messiah would come the first time (Daniel 9:25-26).

6. Some, including the brilliant Sir Isaac Newton, believe this same passage holds the key to the timing of His return.

7. There is evidence that the Bible reveals the exact number of years of "the times of the Gentiles" and the exact span of time to Israel's rebirth in 1948 and the recapture of Jerusalem in 1967.

Obviously, leaving us clueless now would violate God's own established pattern as revealed in His Word! Also obviously, we are not left clueless. There are many signs. Let us remain watchful and ready, and be found doing the Master's work.

Pope Says Religion Must Not Be Misused

VATICAN CITY (AP) -- Pope John Paul II received Muslim, Orthodox Christian and Jewish religious leaders from Azerbaijan, calling their visit Thursday a symbol of tolerance and declaring that religion must never be used for violent aims.

"No one has the right to present or use religion as an instrument of intolerance, as a means of aggression, of violence, of death," the pope told the group.

Christians, Muslims and Jews must appeal together for an end to violence in the world "with justice for all," he said.

Incoming email, Re: Bride of Christ

I just read the Bride of Christ article by Joe Grant which I downloaded some months ago but have been hindered to read until just now.

I've been Christian since 1982 and for the far majority of this time have felt there MUST be a division between those looking for Jesus' return and desiring (and working for) a close relationship with Him and those who are satisfied with knowing a bit about Him and having their salvation settled.

In reading this I was looking for an "attitude" and obvious misquotes from Scripture. I always put everything to the test (of love and truth) before accepting. As of this first reading I was pleased that there seemed to be no hint of elitism or distain toward those who oppose this teaching. Just reasoning from the Scripture for those who have an ear to hear.

Do you have additional (reliable) material on this subject which has become available since last spring when I origianlly downloaded this webpage? Please advise me.

I find these arguments fitting Scripture well with the possible exception of the rest of the Body of Christ being left behind in the rapture. Why would only the last generation of Christians have to face tribulation of a horror unknown to man until then? If a Christian who was not looking for His return happens to die the day before the rapture and is "absent from the body and present with Christ" why should other Christians have this great tribulation to go through? Lot was almost reluctantly pulled out of Sodom.

I must research this aspect of your presentation more thoroughly. I have no concrete presentation of my own to give you at this time. If you have further Scripture to support why they are left behind that deals with why this generation must face what others have not, please bring them to my attention as well.

I'm definitely ready to have as much understanding about this teaching as the Lord will grant me. (Long past ready.) Love in Christ

My reply

> > I find these arguments fitting Scripture well with the possible exception of the rest of the Body of Christ being left behind in the rapture. Why would only the last generation of Christians have to face tribulation of a horror unknown to man until then?

It isn't the whole last generation of Christians. Many of them will be caught up to Heaven in the Pre-Trib Rapture. It is just the ones that are not wearing white robes that get chastized. They get chastized here on Earth, because they will not be chastized in Heaven. At the Judgment Seat of Christ, accounts will be settled by the amount of rewards we receive. God is fair.

The Lord planned everything before the world began. How could he have arranged this differently? The foolish Laodicean virgins are so lukewarm, its hard for other people to tell what they believe. We should let our light shine, not put it under a basket. Jesus said, "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." Along with unbelievers, they are to be given a trial to see what they will hang on to and what they will let go. This trial "shall come upon ALL THE WORLD, to try them that dwell upon the earth" (Rev. 3:10). It is the final sifting to divide the wheat from the chaff. Jesus said, "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent."

One thing believers won't have to face is the Wrath of God. I Thess. 5:9 says, "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ." The Tribulation saints will be caught up in the Pre-Wrath Rapture. Rev. 7:14 says, "These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have WASHED THEIR ROBES, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."

At the time of the Pre-Trib Rapture, the Laodiceans did not have on white garments. They were spotted by the flesh. By the time they are caught up to Heaven, they have finally confessed their sins, so God can cleanse them of all unrighteousness.

We should pay attention to what I John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

That's letting Jesus wash our feet. He told Peter, "He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean." The alternative is in verse 8, "If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me."

The Bride wears white. Rev. 19:7,8 says, "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and WHITE: for the fine linen is the righteousness (lit., righteousnesses, including Christ's righteousness imputed to us and our righteous acts while filled with His Holy Spirit) of saints."

The armies of Heaven wear white. Rev. 19:14 says, "the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, WHITE and clean."

> > Lot was almost reluctantly pulled out of Sodom.

Noah represents the Bride of Christ, caught up before the Tribulation. No fire fell. Lot represents the Tribulation saints, pulled out just before fiery disaster hits at noon (Zeph. 2:4,5). They are saved so as by fire. "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (Rev. 21:4).

What causes the foolish virgins of Mt. 25 to get left behind? They don't have enough oil of the Holy Spirit. They are not filled with the Holy Spirit. Why? They think they have it made as it is and fail to confess their sins committed after they accepted Christ.

In II Peter 1:4-11, Peter gave a list of things we should add to our faith "that by these ye might be partakers of the DIVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. "But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off (Heaven), and hath forgotten that he was purged from his OLD SINS", those committed before we accepted Christ.

In 1:10,11, Peter said, "Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling AND election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ."

Remember, that at the time of the First-Trump-of-God Rapture (I Thess. 4:16,17), They that are with him (Christ) are CALLED, AND CHOSEN, AND FAITHFUL" (Rev. 17:14). Those that are left behind will be chosen at the Last-Trump Rapture (I Cor. 15:51,52). At that time, all saints will be changed, made immortal.

At the first Rapture, "many are called, but few are chosen" (Mt. 22:14). That few will be the Bride of Christ. At the second Rapture, only the 144,000 Israelites will be added to the Bride group. They are virgins, without fault before the throne of God. See Rev. 14:2-5. Notice that at the first Rapture, the saints sing a new song (Rev. 5:9). At the second Rapture, "no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth" (Rev. 14:3). The Bride sings the new song.

Psa. 149:1,5 says, "Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a NEW SONG, and his praise in the congregation of saints....LET THE SAINTS BE JOYFUL IN GLORY (heaven): let them sing aloud upon their beds." Agape

From: Jim Bramlett

In my my message of November 9, I advised of free Bible software available at .

Later, different people told me that there is another good free source at .

This looks outstanding, and instead of having to order a free CD and paying for the shipping, you can download it right from the Web site. In fairness, however, has resources that e-sword does not have. But e-sword has many great freebies!

E-sword includes many Bible translations, commentaries, dictionaries, graphics, and other materials, even the Jewish-Roman historian Josephus.

These resources are a great treasure of knowledge. With what I already had, today I counted that I now have 14 Bible translations on my computer, plus numerous reference books! In dissecting difficult passages, I often compare many translations to see how the linguists translate the words. I also consult lexicons. I do not agree with the King James-only folks who claim that the KJ version is the final word, although I love and use the KJV, even though written in 400-year-old English. The final, inspired word is the original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts and I want to know what they say. These resources help.
Be blessed, Jim

I have been following your words of wisdom over the years and read your books. I'm very thankful for all of your work.

I know that you, your followers and I are waiting very patiently for the Lord's return. It feels so very near to me....but that is just that....a 'feeling'...nothing more.

However, let us just suppose that December 17, 2004 comes and goes without anything happening. Also, suppose that the other future dates that fit the timeline of the Rapture and Christ's return that you have spelled out fail to yield any results. Let's just suppose that we are still here waiting 10 years from now.

OK....with that said.....should we still watch for signs? And if so....what signs? I know you have meticulously layed out detailed timelines, star & planet charts etc etc... that point to certain days that "should only" work in the very near future.

I don't mean to sound pessimistic. I want to believe but it seems that every time a date you mention comes and goes, I get depressed when nothing happens.

I know you are doing what you believe the Lord has led you to do (when you saw the light appear on that passage). I pray and hope this time it is for real. I don't mean to be a doubting Thomas. In Christ's Love

Quote from "The Prophecy of Daniel part 2"

By Brother Sal Rapture simply means: catching away. You only find the word ONCE in the New Testament, that's were it says in the book of Acts, that Philip was caught away from the Gaza strip, and appeared in Azotus. That swift movement, and placement in another area, has come to be used as the word for the catching away of the saints.

My comment

Young's Concordance shows that "harpazo," to snatch at or to snatch away, is found in John 10:12, I Thess. 4:17, Mt. 13:10, Acts 8:39, II Cor. 12:2, and 4 and Rev. 12:5.

10 kings who do not have charge of their kingdoms at the time of the Pre-Trib Rapture

By Marilyn Agee

At the time of the Pre-Trib Rapture, the 6th head (i.e., the Tribulation Pope, over the Ecclesiastical Roman Empire) of the great red dragon is in power, and the 10 kings have received no kingdom as yet. Rev. 17:10,12 says, "there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is (the 6th head, the Beast of Rev. 13:4-10), and THE OTHER (the 7th head, the False Prophet) is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space (he rules during the second 3.5 years, the Great Tribulation that will be shortened)....And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have RECEIVED NO KINGDOM AS YET; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast" (the 6th head, the Tribulation Pope).

As the Tribulation begins, Rev. 13:1 says, "I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast (the great red dragon, Rev. 12:3) rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns TEN CROWNS, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy (Pontifex Maximus)." Notice that the name of blasphemy is not on the ten crowns, only on the seven heads. Below are the 10 kingdoms into which the world has been divided. The kings may already be selected, but are not yet in charge of their territory.

1. North America (NAFTA)
2. Western Europe
3. Japan
4. Australia, South Africa
5. Eastern Europe, including Russia
6. Latin America
7. North Africa and Middle East
8. Tropical Africa
9. South and Southeast Asia
10 China

Of Mid-Trib, Rev. 12: 3 says, "there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and SEVEN CROWNS UPON HIS HEADS." Mid-Trib is when the 7th head, the False Prophet, comes to full power. Even though he has not yet come to full power at the beginning of the Tribulation, who he will be will be revealed when he strengthens the peace covenant of Dan. 9:27.

Dan. 7:20-26 ties in. It says, "And of the TEN HORNS that were in his head, and of the OTHER which came up, and BEFORE WHOM THREE FELL; even of that horn that had eyes, and A MOUTH THAT SPAKE VERY GREAT THINGS, WHOSE LOOK WAS MORE STOUT THAN HIS FELLOWS (because he is Satan-possessed)...the TEN HORNS out of this kingdom are TEN KINGS that shall arise: and ANOTHER (the False Prophet) shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse (different) from the first (i.e., he won't be a resurrected first beast), and HE SHALL SUBDUE (shephal, make low or humble) THREE KINGS. AND HE SHALL SPEAK GREAT WORDS AGAINST THE MOST HIGH (CHRIST, Isa. 44:6), and shall wear out the saints of the most High (the Tribulation saints), and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time" (until the end of the second 3.5 years, except this period is to be shortened or no flesh would be saved, Mt. 24:21,22). But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end."

I John 2:22 says, "Who is a liar (the False Prophet) but HE THAT DENIETH THAT JESUS IS THE CHRIST? HE IS ANTICHRIST, THAT DENIETH THE FATHER AND THE SON." The False Prophet is the OTHER that will subdue 3 of the 10 kings. The Tribulation saints will not be troubled by the False Prophet after the time when the shortening of the 3.5 years takes place. That is because the Pre-Wrath Rapture takes place just before the Wrath of God hits Earth on the Feast of Trumpets. Dan. 7:8-14 says, "I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. AS CONCERNING THE REST OF THE BEASTS, THEY HAD THEIR DOMINION TAKEN AWAY: YET THEIR LIVES WERE PROLONGED FOR A SEASON AND TIME. I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man (Jesus) came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a KINGDOM, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed."
