My name is ---- and I live in Dallas Texas. My Birthday is October 4, 1966 I believe that year was a "Rosh Hoshanna" date(I may be off) I am 38 years old!!!! (38 years + 2 year trek to Mt. Sinai is the number of years left Israel wandered in the desert after Mt. Sinai.(this is information I obtained from your website) I have been lead by THE HOLY SPIRIT since I saw The passion of the Christ not on the day it was released, but was instructed by THE HOLY SPIRIT to view it on "Good Friday". Since then, HE has revealed to me a plan my life has lead that he termed as "Special" HE instructed me to "leave the catholic church!!" HE revealed this to me on the date of Tish b'Av 2004(spelling again?). HE has made great revelations to me on all jewish feast days throughout my life and has told me my 38th year would be MONUMENTAL TO MY LEGACY. What ever that means I am not sure. HE gives me little bits at a time.
I was adopted and given to a family that is not my original heritage. My original lineage has been kept a secret by THE HOLY SPIRIT. HE has thwarted my every turn in trying to find out my true heritage. HE has instructed me to not seek it UNTIL HE REVEALS IT TO ME PERSONALLY and that the link to my heritage is through my paternal line.
I believe that my heritage may date back to the HOUSE of Joseph (Ephraim). 2005 is the last year of the exile of this HOUSE from the info I have been given. This HOUSE Joseph (Ephraim) was to be in exile 1490 years for her turning away from EL-SHADDAI. If you count when the Assyrians came to take the HOUSE into captivity and the three years they fought until that captivity was "official" you come up with the date year of 2005. Check me on this- I know and trust your research for THE HOLY SPIRIT would not have lead me to your website for answers if HE did not believe in it either! THE TWO HOUSES SHALL BE (According to prophecy in Ezekial) REUNITED. The example of the two sticks being brought together as ONE! Let me know your overall thoughts on this and I Thank you for you wonderful research and insight.
> A fellow member of the Bride of YESHUA, yours in CHRIST'S LOVE
Your "LEGACY" could have something to do with the importance of the number 38 right now. Israel declared her Independence May 14, 1948. While she was still young (apalos, young and tender), 19 years old, the Six-Day War fulfilled the parable of the fig tree in Mt. 24:32-34. Israel grew leaves, Sinai, Gaza Strip, Golan Heights and West Bank. It looks like the Rapture of the Bride of Yeshua could be on Sivan 7, 5765 (June 14, 2005), 38 years later. June 14, 1948 + 19 + 38 = June 14, 2005, Pentecost, also called the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Harvest. The two loaves to be waved, i.e., lifted up that day, seem to represent the Jews and the Gentiles. We are all one body in Christ.
Pentecost seems to be when the wise virgins of Mt. 25 will go with Yeshua the Bridegroom when he comes for his Bride. The wise virgins are those believers that have enough oil of the Holy Spirit of Yeshua to keep their lamps burning brightly. The way we can be sure of having enough oil is to confess our sins to God so he can cleanse us of all unrighteousness (I John 1:9). Shalom and agape
To start with, I believe the Bible over anything else. When Rev. 22 tells me that there is a river of water with trees growing on the banks, and that the tree leaves are for the healing of the nations, I believe it. Running water doesn't sound like an icescape to me, either. When Scripture tells me that there is a street, and that they have no night there, and no need of the Sun, for the Lord God giveth them light, I believe it. If we need warmth, he will supply it. I don't limit God in any way. He is omnipotent and can do anything. Agape
Upon reading the Doves letters lately, I have been intrigued at how God's Spirit works. He teaches us "precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line ; here a little, and there a little".
For me it was quite a shock in 2001, in July when I read a letter by David Parker on the "38 years from 1967." Excitedly I wrote a response to his post on a personal experience of mine.
Back in the fall of 1996, I had a dream. Earlier in the day, I had visited with a woman friend - a Christian who had with her husband befriended my husband and I when we lived in their community. Mike and Sharon Vogt are tenant wheat farmers in western Kansas. This conversation took place right before the 1996 Presidential elections. She asked me in the course of our visit by phone if I would pray for their weather. It had been an unusually wet fall and she said if it did not dry up some, then they would not get their wheat crop planted. No planting = no harvest. This is their livlihood, so I told her I would pray for them.
That night I had a dream. I dreamed I was watching a television with my oldest brother, Dan. He is the only one in my family that I know is saved. In real life, I get bored easily with television, unless it is something that interests me. In my dream , I became restless and started daydreaming. My brother said to me, "Mary, pay attention. This is your future." Sensing the urgency in his voice and the importance of his words, I made myself focus on the t.v. set. One by one I saw the Presidential candidates that were running that year. Bill Clinton, Bob Dole, and Ross Perot. One by one, God showed me a sort of "zoom in" on their hearts and I saw the innermost depths. All of them had character flaws, and I turned (in my dream) and said to my brother, "But none of them are leaders. Who will lead this great nation?" He replied, "Keep watching." At about the time I turned back to watch the television went black and I heard a voice. The voice said, "There is no need to put the crops into the ground, because by the year 2005, America will cease to be a nation." The television came back into focus and I saw a black silhouette of a Jewish man. I knew it was a Jewish man, because of his yarmulka that he wore.
I heard the voice speak again, ".....at this time, the ingathering of My people to their homeland will be complete." Then I awoke.
Fast forward.....The year is 2000, actually summer when I was loaned a video set on the Feasts of the Lord produced by Day of Discovery. While watching the one on Rosh ha Shanah, the narrator was saying that Bible scholars believe that John chapter 5 is the feast of Rosh haShanah. He went on to say that the "certain man with the infirmity 38 years" was believed to be National Israel. I had one of my "moments". Excitedly, I started doing the math in my head. 1948 + 38 did not work out. Then I tried 1967. I thought, "1967 would have been when the Jews failed to take the Temple Mount after the Six Day war." 1967+38= 2005! Bingo. I got the date from the dream I had had back in 1996.
I have never forgotten these things. Perhaps the Rosh haShanah fits in well with the shofar sounding and the Jews making Aliyah to Israel. It was a holy convocation, or gathering that was a statute for Israel, per Psalm 81:3.
In Pastor Riley's letter
http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/jan2005/fmriley125-2.htm (which made some very good points, I might add), he said,
"A careful study of the Scriptures reveals that it took Israel two years to reach Mt. Sinai. Study it out for yourself."
Well, I did.
In Exodus 12:2, we see the Passover instituted on "the tenth of this month" and it was told to Israel that "This month shall be your beginning of months."
After that we see in Ex. 13:6 that the feast of Unleavened Bread occurred right after this and lasted seven days.
Next we see the crossing of the Red Sea, and the Song of Moses, and the Bitter waters made sweet. Exodus 16:1 says, "And they journeyed from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came to the Wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they departed from the land of Egypt.
Moses then brings water from the rock ( a picture of Christ) and then the Israelites fight a battle with Amalek. Jethro, Mose's father-in-law intervenes to help Moses set up judges and then in Exodus 19:1, the Word says,
"In the third month after the childen of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on the same day, they came to the Wilderness of Sinai."
Am I missing something here? This doesn't appear to be two years. But the point I am trying to make is "Do we have to reconcile the approximate length of the generation being 38 versus 40?"
The Scripture still stands.
"And at the time we took to come from Kadesh Barnea until we crosed over the Valley of the Zerud was thirty- eight years, until all the generation of the men of war was consumed from the midst of the camp, just as the Lord had sworn to them." De. 2:14
In fact most scholars will say a "generation" for the Jews can be either "38" or "40" years. 40 years would make this present generation end in 2007.
I think all the signs point to 2005 as being the year. If anyone can bring more light on this subject, I would appreciate it. Mary Hansen
On NIsan 1, in the SECOND YEAR after the Israelites left Egypt, the tabernacle was reared up. Ex. 40:17 says, "it came to pass in the first month in the SECOND YEAR, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up."
That's a type of the tabernacle of David being reared up at the Second Advent of Christ on Nisan 1. It's the first day of both the Hebrew Regnal Year and Sacred Year, and Jesus is both King and High Priest.
One month after the tabernacle was reared up, the Israelites 20 and up were NUMBERED. This is the watershed we are looking for. It was 2 years to the numbering plus another 38 years to the entry into the promised land.
All those 19 and under were the YOUNG. Up to this point, the Israelites had wandered in the desert two years, Nisan to Nisan. Nu. 1:1,2 says, "the LORD spake unto Moses IN THE WILDERNESS OF SINAI, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month (Iyar 2), in the SECOND YEAR AFTER THEY WERE COME OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT, saying, Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls; From TWENTY YEARS OLD AND UPWARD, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies."
This ties in with the parable of the fig tree in Mt. 24:32-34. It says, "When his (Israel's) branch (modern Israel) is yet tender (apalos, YOUNG, i.e., no more than 19), and putteth forth leaves (Gaza Strip, Sinai, Golan Heights, and West Bank, in the Six-Day War of 1967), ye know that summer is nigh." They took the temple area on June 7, and summer arrived June 21.
De. 2:14 falls into place. The KJV says, "And THE SPACE in which we came from Kadeshbarnea (meaning desert of a fugitive, about 25 miles from Mt. Sinai, if I remember right), until we were come over the brook Zered (meaning east, brightness, exuberant with growth, lined with shrubbery), WAS THIRTY AND EIGHT YEARS; until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD sware unto them."
To me, the Sign of the End of the Age couldn't have appeared any later than 1967, when Israel was still young, i.e., 19. Therefore, it looks like we should enter into our promised land after another 38 years, in 2005. I think it will be on Sivan 7 (June 14), when Pentecost is fully come (Acts 2:1).
Rev. 22:1-5 describes what sounds like our brook Zered in our promised land, New Jerusalem in Heaven, as being exuberant with growth. The "river of water of life" is lined with trees, the leaves of which are for the healing of the nations.
Rev 22:1-5 says, "he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne (one throne) of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne (one throne) of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his (God and the Lamb's) servants shall serve him (one person): And they shall see his face (one face); and his name (Yeshua/Jesus) shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever" Agape
Thanks to all who replied on my question concerning the Scriptural reference to the 40 and 38 years for a generation. I had always heard that most bible scholars considered a Jewish generation to be either one or the other.
I myself, had already been shown that the "certain man in John 5" is National Israel, but at times we have some who come to us and say "That isn't in the Bible."
I had one such reaction to Pastor Riley's first letter on the "two years the Israelites spent at Mt. Sinai."
I have done alot of study of the Scriptures over the years. I am also into my 11th year of homeschooling, which limits my time.
So thanks to you both for refreshing my memory in the Scriptures. God Bless you and all who replied greatly. Lord willing, I will meet you soon in eternity. In the Service of Christ, Mary Hansen
Some interesting alignments to say the least, don't you think?...
I just received the following report originating from a reliable source in Israel:
"Tuesday (January 25, 2005) about 1,000 rabbis met at Binyanei Hauma (National Convention Center) to discuss building the 3rd Temple!"
No further information is available.
This, combined with the recent reestablishment of the Sanhedrin, is of profound prophetic significance.
Ron said that the man had been lying there all those years and the religious people did not help him. The water in the pool is symbolic of the Word. There were plenty of promises in the Jewish Bible at that time for him to get healed. Nobody helped him get into the Word. Through Jesus, God decided that He would have to help the man Himself, by His grace. The Word made flesh came to the man in Person! There were five colonnades, and five is the number of grace.
Ron said this is the condition of the world today. The world is in such bad shape, and the lukewarm Laodecean church is not doing enough to help. So in His mercy the Lord is going to personally come again to bring healing and deliverance to those who will receive it. He said the Tribulation is a time of mercy. God does not need the Tribulation for punishment because He already has hell to do that. It will be a severe wake-up time and opportunity after the rapture for people to call upon the Lord and be saved for eternity.
As Ron spoke, all of a sudden it dawned on me: The man had been an invalid for 38 years! And counting 38 years from the most prophetic and milestone event since the first century, when the Jews took over Jerusalem and the Temple Mount in 1967 = 2005. When I said that, Ron was ecstatic! He sensed that the number 38 here is significant.
I did not share this before, but I share it now because the numbers 38 and 2005, and also 12, have come up again this week in different contexts.
1. Pastor F.M. Riley pointed out that after they left Egypt, it took the Israelites two years to reach Mt. Sinai, where they rebelled against God, and He required them to wonder in the wilderness another 38 years to reach the Promised Land.
Riley says, "This is 2005! Thirty-eight years ago (1967) Almighty God delivered the Temple Mount into the hands of the Jews during the Six-Day War. Instead of immediately seizing the opportunity, rebuilding their Temple, and claiming their promised Kingdom, the Jews (through their blind leaders) rebelled against the will of God plainly stated in His prophetic Word, and literally gave the Temple Mount over into the hands of their enemies. God have mercy! They have had to pay dearly for the past 38 years for that act of rebellion, just as their ancient forefathers had to pay (38 years) for their rebellion. But praise God! At the end of the 38 years ancient Israel crossed the Jordan and entered upon their Kingdom promises. They still had to fight a seven-year war to subdue their enemies, but they were on their way. Folks, can't you see that this plainly points to Israel entering their Kingdom promises this year, 2005, where they will still have to fight a seven-year war to subdue their enemies. This year (2005) is 38 years since Israel had and relinquished the Temple Mount, and the seven-year Tribulation is at the door. It will begin this Spring. Glory! But there is another point whether some like it or not. Since this year is the 38th year and the Tribulation is at the door.... so is the rapture of God's people. Glory!" See http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/jan2005/fmriley125-2.htm
2. Also this week, Pastor Riley points out that Lamentations 1:17 describes Jerusalem "as a menstrous woman among them." He then mentioned Jesus healing the menstrous woman who had the "issue of blood" for 12 years (Matthew 9:18-20, etc.). Riley says, "This woman had been menstruating nonstop for twelve years. There is no question in my mind that this woman is a type of Jerusalem. And how long has the controversy over Jerusalem been going on? The real bloody controversy over who would control Jerusalem began just twelve years ago. Remember? That was 1993, the year that Rabin of Israel and Arafat of the PLO signed the rotten, deceitful Oslo Accords. There has been nothing but bloodshed since that day. God have mercy! And He will! Just as the Lord healed the woman after she had suffered for twelve years with her 'issue of blood,' so the Lord is going to heal Jerusalem this year, 2005. He will do so by sending back to Jerusalem His 'two witnesses' and saving 144,000 Jews. Glory! And it will take place this year. 2005 - 12 = 1993. See http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/jan2005/fmriley127.htm
The above instances provide three different biblical patterns and types that appear to point to the year 2005.
"What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!'" (Mark 13:37).
> > Pastor F.M. Riley pointed out that after they left Egypt, it took the Israelites two years to reach Mt. Sinai, where they rebelled against God, and He required them to wonder in the wilderness another 38 years to reach the Promised Land.
He meant Kadesh Barnea. That's where they rebelled against God. It took them 2 years to reach Kadesh Barnea. The Israelites left Egypt right after Passover in the 1st month, Nisan. They arrived at Mt. Sinai on Sivan 1, the 3rd month (Ex. 19:1). In the second year, they left Sinai and went to Kadesh Barnea. From there, Moses sent the spies into the promised land.
Ex. 24:16,18 says, "And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the SEVENTH DAY he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud....And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights." That 7th day was Sivan 7, PENTECOST, in the 3rd month after leaving Egypt.
Nu. 10:11 says, "it came to pass on the twentieth day of the second month (Iyar), IN THE SECOND YEAR, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony." After this, they went to Kadesh Barnea, and Moses sent in the spies. Agape
