Incoming Email I have been anticipating the Lord's return as a small child looks forward to Christmas or a birthday party.Keep up the good work. I still think our redemption draws nye.
> I have some thoughts and questions I hope will shed new light on our missed? departure from this rotten old world.
> 1. If June 7, is true Pentecost, wouldn't we still wait another 7 days as in the days of Noah. Wouldn't the 7 day delay put the rapture at June 14?
> 2. In the parable of the Barren Fig Tree you say there is a 3 year gap between the rapture and the beginning of the Tribulation. I know 2001-3=1998 but if you use Jewish inclusive reckoning as you did in other calculations, it seems it should be 5761, 5760,5759= 1999. This has always bothered me . Have I misunderstood this?
> 3. We know from the Song of Songs that the rapture must be late spring ? Could the green figs be referring strictly to the Jews and not the season? The rapture must also be on the Lord's day. There are only 2 Sundays remaining before spring is over. This would or could elminate 1998 as the year of our Lord's return if 2 more weekends go by without the rapture. I am still hopeful that he is coming in 1998. It is still the season of Noah until fall (5758).
> I want to encourage you to keep searching for the truth as I know you are. These false alarms are making me long for the Lord's return more than ever. I'm sure he must have had that in mind for us also. He wants to shake us alittle as a mighty wind shakes a tree to loosen any with weak faith. He is looking for those that cling to him and love him as a bride should. In Christian Love
My reply As in days of Noah. There is so much to do, I hardly have time to think. However, I arrived at church early yesterday, so stayed in the car a bit and looked at Gen. 7 and 8. Looks like Noah was able to go in and out of the Ark loading stuff during the seven days. After that, the Lord shut him in and the rain started to fall.
We may be in a sifting period to separate the wise virgins from the foolish, the wheat from the chaff, to see who eats and drinks with the drunkards, etc. Maybe we can go in and out of the Ark at this time too.
The Lord may be giving awake Christians a last chance to bring others into the fold.
Also, I saw that Noah sent out the dove once. She returned for she found no rest for the sole of her foot. Then, "he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove" (Gen. 8:10). She returned with an olive leaf. Then, "he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove" (8:12). This time, she found rest for the sole of her foot."
The Pre-Trib Rapture seems to be one foot of the Body of Christ, the Pre-Wrath Rapture the other foot. Notice that it is "her," like the Bride, and "foot," not feet. There may be a connection.
Re: parable of the barren fig tree. Four years, counted by inclusive reckoning, where the first year is number one, are 5758, 5759, 5760 and 5761.
> The rapture must also be on the Lord's day. There are only 2 Sundays
> remaining before spring is over.
Thanks for this info. I had not thought of it. It may fit in perfectly. If we start with the Orthodox Pentecost, add "yet other seven days" and "yet other seven days," we have a fit.
In the parable of the fig tree in Mt. 24:32-34, summer was nigh. It was for the resurrection of Israel, and it is now.
Hang in there. This may be a test. Satan may even be allowed to sift us as wheat in a sieve. Noah sent out a black raven too. Remember? He kept flying. He "went forth TO AND FRO (as Satan in Job 1:7: "From going to and fro in the earth"), until the waters (symbol of the Holy Spirit) were dried UP FROM OFF THE EARTH" (Gen. 8:7). Stay strong, stay ready and tell others about Christ. When Satan wanted to sift Peter as wheat, Jesus prayed that Peter would keep his faith. You know that applies to us too. Stay the course. We have the best help there is.
(Note: Peter denied the Lord three times. This is an object lesson for us.)
Yes. We must have a love relationship with the Bridegroom.
Incoming Email The Great TEST!
Well, it's Monday morning, June 8... and we're still here. But take heart, because I've already experienced a "type" of what we may be experiencing now, and I'd like to share that with you.
Some years ago, I had a job delivering brand-new recreational vehicles (RVs) on a full-time basis. In that capacity, I was an independent contractor... and thus, a free agent. RVs are almost never trucked (as new cars are). They are DRIVEN to the dealerships where they're sold -- which often are hundreds or thousands of miles from the factory -- by ordinary people... not truckers. As a free agent, I could work for any company of my choosing who would avail themselves of my services.
After working for some time in the Midwest, delivering coaches to points east of the Rockies, I decided to go for a change of scenery. So I presented myself one morning to the dispatcher (named Don) at a transporter company in San Bernardino, California.
Don replied that he had no need for a new driver, but if I wanted to help him out that day by working with some of his drivers to ferry new RVs to his lot from some factories 30 miles away in Hemet, he'd pay me minimum wage. Of course, I could pass on this menial job and head right back to Indiana, if I so desired. My choice. He didn't really need me, but if I chose to do the job, it would be helpful to him.
So -- I cheerfully pitched in, and worked all day in 110-degree heat, ferrying RVs to his lot from those plants out in the Mojave desert. This was in 1978, and so I only made about $25. When the end of the day came, I picked up my pay from Don, told him that I'd enjoyed the day, and grabbed my bag to head for the depot.
Before I had taken two steps, Don said, "Do you see that coach over in the corner of the lot?" "Yes," I replied. He said, "How would you like to take that up to Tacoma for me tonight?"
I happily accepted the 1,200-mile run, and thus was hired. Then I realized...
Don had put me to the TEST all day. And I'd PASSED.
So here's the analogy. I think that God really DOES want us to watch and be ready, as in the manner of the five wise virgins. And that when we seem to have the date figured out, but miss, that is His TEST for us, to see whether or not we will CONTINUE to watch and be ready -- or will allow ourselves to "run low on oil" due to discouragement, and thus miss out.
If I'd passed up the menial and uncomfortable task that Don had offered me, I'd soon have been back in the Midwest, seeing a lot more of the Great Plains. But because I passed his test, I began a long period of exploring the beautiful scenery and wonders of the West. And THAT ultimately led directly to my starting a book publishing company, which I still run today.
BOTTOM LINE TO YOU AND TO ALL READERS: Don't let the detractors and the scoffers get you down! Don't look at missed dates being cases of people calling, "Wolf, wolf!" Look instead at what is REALLY going on. It's quite apparent to me that God is testing our mettle and our faithfulness to Him. He never said that watching and being ready would be EASY. He only asks that we DO it. And so, if we DO just that, the Rapture will come ar a time of His choosing -- which we may or may not have determined beforehand. We'll have passed the test... the wedding will be GLORIOUS... and Eternity to follow will be wondrous beyond our wildest earthly imaginings -- BECAUSE we passed.
Incoming Email We will be an "overdeveloped health foal"
My sincere prayer, dear sister in Christ, is that you will find rest from your labor of the last few weeks. And when you have rested, press on toward the goal for which you have been called in Christ Jesus. Your faithful work has changed my life. Although I did not realize it, I took my Christianity for grated. I have wasted valuable time. I have been given much... but have not given much in return. Your web site has been a warning to me. It means absolutely nothing to me that the rapture has not occurred... yet. Yes, I long to be with the Lord, but my eyes have been opened, and now that they are open they are permanently fixed on Jesus! I have heard the warning, and I am being armed for the battle. You have opened the eyes of many of us to the urgency of these messages. Weather today, tomorrow, or 10 years from now, I will be looking... watching... waiting.... hungering...longing to be with him. I have learned one thing: When our Lord Jesus Christ comes, I want to have my lamp FULL OF OIL!
I wrote to you last week when May 31 came... and passed. It is now 11:30 p.m. on June 7 (EST), and my sentiments are the same. You are a woman after God's own heart. Oh, how I pray that I will desire to know HIM as you do! You have sought discernment through his Holy Word, as He has commanded us to do. You have been brave and courageous to present His truth as revealed to you. I can say with complete confidence, that you (we) will all know completely why and for what purpose events are playing out as they are. Our role now is not to know all... for that is his divine pleasure, but to prayerfully act in obedience and faith. Thank you, oh thank you, so very much sweet lady. You have given me a very great gift!
I came across this message on another site today called the Prophetic Email Discussion, edited by Andrew Strom. It is the first and only time I have visited this site. It was posted by someone named Brenda Imus on May 15, 1997. I pray that she will not mind me forwarding her words. I send this, because I pray that it will bring you comfort and confirmation Your sister in Christ --- Date: Thu, 15 May 1997 12:28:28 -0400

Subject: Time for birth
As this is being written I have a mare that is nearly three weeks overdue to foal. Since she has very large babies, and has needed help in the past--and horses foal quickly and can get into big trouble within a matter of minutes--I've been sleeping in the barn, waiting for that baby to be born.
It's been very cold here, and the 'bed' I've rigged up isn't long on comfort. While the first few nights were cozy and special, the novelty has now worn thin. The last couple of night I've gotten very discouraged, almost angry, as I've lain awake in the cold, dark, uncomfortable barn waiting for the tell-tale sounds of birth to begin, only to be disappointed once again.
To make matters worse, two people I know had horses who were due to foal weeks after mine--and both of them were born YESTERDAY!
Last night as I lay awake, absolutely sure she would have her baby at long last, the Lord spoke to my spirit. He explained to me that much of the birthing process actually takes place before we can see or hear any outside evidence of it. That the body is softening, the baby being moved into position, the milk glands being made ready, etc. He said that there is never a time during pregnancy when things are static--and this is more and more true as the time for delivery approaches.
As He spoke to me, I imagined He was saying that these things were all being made ready even as I lay there--and so I expected to hear the sounds of actual delivery begin any second. I dozed on and off, waking from time to time to listen to the Lord, and to the mare (who has always foaled just before the break of dawn).
Come 8 a.m., there was still no foal--and I knew that, once again, there wouldn't be one this day. So I dragged myself into the house, feeling forsaken and forlorn.
As I took myself to the Lord, I sensed Him bringing a Scripture to mind, so I looked it up. It was in Isaiah 66:9. (The combination of 6,6 and 9 has ALWAYS spoken to me of nearness of time):
9 Do I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery?" says the LORD. "Do I close up the womb when I bring to delivery?" says your God. (NIV)
As I meditated upon this, the Lord spoke very sweetly to my spirit. He reminded me of all the years I've been in a cold, dark and uncomfortable place, spiritually (in relation to the church), waiting and expecting something special to be birthed by God's Spirit. He reminded me of all the 'false alarms,' those times when I thought, "Aha! AT LAST, I've got it!" only to be disappointed and disillusioned.
Then He spoke to me about King David, in the cave of Adullam with a few hundred others who were outcasts of their day--those in distress, in debt, or discontent (I Sam. 22:1-2). In other words, those who were not able to prosper under the rule of Saul, who would rather live in a cave with David, and trust the anointing upon him, than compromise with the current system of rule. These were all mighty men of valor, and God would eventually be with them and use them mightily--though it certainly didn't seem so during their early cave days, when they were chased down, mocked and persecuted.
But the day of delivery came for King David and his men. Not by his own hand--in fact, he refused the temptation to kill King Saul himself--but by God's hand, when the time was right, and all things had been properly prepared. Just so, there is an appointed day of delivery for my mare--and for me and all others who have been waiting 'in the cave of Abdullam.' God is doing an invisible work of preparation, and will bring to delivery all those things which He has conceived, if we will but be patient, and not attempt to bring them to pass in our own strength.
Better a live, overdeveloped healthy foal--than a partial birth abortion.
Still watching, waiting (and praising!)
Incoming Email Well let me ask you this. If the rapture does not come today (As you predicted)will you concede, on your website, that you may have misinterpreted or received false revelations from God. And that this may also include you prophecying about heaven being on Saturn?
My reply I did not say the Rapture had to happen at this time. I said that this is the way it looks to me. I have repeatedly stated that I am not a prophet. I certainly can misinterpret, but I have not received any revelations from God about dates or where Heaven is located. You read the relevant scriptures and make up your own mind. You are responsible for your own choices.
Life is a matter of choices. I choose the Lord. I choose to keep studying the scriptures. I choose to stay ready. I am running the race to win. I may stumble, but never quit.
I don't think the finish line is far away. We only have 9 years within which all the end-of-the-age events must be packed. I think we must stay in a state of readiness from now until it happens. A sifting process may be going on. Remember when Jesus told Peter, "Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not" (Lu. 22:31,32).
Aren't you glad we have the Lord on our side. In John 6:39, Jesus said, "this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again (anistemi, lift up again) at the last day." There is a first day and a last day, a first trump and a last trump. I want to be part of the first-day crowd. I Cor. 15:23 says, "But every man in his own order (telos, rank)."
Remember when Israel was told to eat the lamb "with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand" (Ex. 12:11). We don't need to sleep in our shoes, but we need to stay ready at every moment. We need to earn rewards in Heaven. We need to be brave and talk to others about the need to accept Christ and to get ready for the shout and the trump of God. You just might shock a few into doing it now instead of waiting for sometime. You will bring your sheaves with you. It is a time to work, not a time to backslide.
Luke 12:45 says, "But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder (cut him off), and will appoint him his portion (the Tribulation) with the unbelievers." That is not the crowd we want to be in.
Please acknowledge me and write back, are you still here on earth?
My reply Yes. You didn't get left behind. Thank goodness.

I would never agree with you more. God tells us in Scripture that the church is made up of two classes: the wheat and tares. As a minister I can testify to the tears - those who tear up - tear down - and tear apart.
The Scripture also calls these two classes: 1) the bride, and 2) the harlot which is also called apostate.
The Scripture also warns us to leave the tares and He will do the separation unless we pull out the wheat as well.
To call the "Christian Church" Babylon is a very dangerous position to be in, that's my opinion and I believe it is Scripture supported.
That also requires a judgment on anyone's part and the Scripture warns about that as well, saying, "Do not judge lest you be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. And why do you look at the speck that is your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Matt. 7:1-3. Jesus calls this hypocritical.
We have seen the evidence in the last few years. Remember the TV evangelist who were slinging mud at each other and they both fell to the same judgment. A person who sees sin in another is usually mirroring their own sin that is in their life.
We could call each other names all day, 365 days a year, but what has that profited? Jesus gave us a new commandment that we love one another, and that by this love the world would know that we are His, and a member of God royal family. Where is the witness in such a statement?
I pray to God that this wall of ignorance be torn down just as the veil was at the temple, from the top to the bottom that we may all live as brethren in Jeshua, God's Christ.
Yours' in Christ Jesus.
Incoming Email What are you goingn to dothe next time you are worng?
My reply I'm hanging in there for the long haul, whenever it is. How about you?
Incoming Email It is 823p my time [nearly 430 am Jerusalem time on Mon 6/8 now] If we are still here in the morning [Monday 6/8] - I am wondering if you are going to keep your website alive? I have already received some negative comments copied to me that were addressed to Peter Hader. I don't know why they copied them to me [the "Huckabys"] as I don't even know these people and never wrote to them.
Anyway, a thought occurred to me this afternoon as I sat watching some of the prettiest clouds on one of the most beautiful days I have ever seen here in my state. The fact that the BRIDE is gentile. I know that many people see the "start" of the church as "Pentecost". All the "types" of the bride in the Bible are GENTILE. Do you think that there is a chance that the rapture won't even take place on a JEWISH feast at all? That when it happens, it will happen NOT on one of the FEASTS that the Jews observe? That would explain Jesus' words that no man knows the "day" or the "hour". Perhaps He figured many would expect it on a traditional Jewish feast day and it won't be! I am still convinced that 1998 is a candidate year for the rapture! There are just too many "strange" things about this year that are hard to explain! In any case, we should keep LOOKING UP! And, I am wondering if JUNE is still the month we should be looking at!!!] Luv,
My reply I'm hoping for Gen. 8:12's "yet other seven days," when the dove flew away and found rest for her feet. If not then, sometime this Jubilee year. I am standing at the ready at all times, whatever.
Yes, as long as I have the money to do so, I'll keep my Web site. It is up to the Lord.
Incoming Email I read the email about the guy saying that theis seven day period ends salvation. Please tell me this is not true. I got saved thursday with 3 of my best friends, reply soon
My reply Welcome into God's family. All God's angels rejoice. I rejoice. Maybe the delay is to bring you and your friends into the fold. The Lord is unwilling for any to be lost.
I see no scripture that says this seven-day period ends salvation. The thief on the cross got saved at the last minute. We just have to stay ready until the Rapture takes place, whenever it is. It can't be long. There are only 9 years into which all the end-time prophecies must be packed.
Incoming Email I have been visiting your web site and hope that you are still encouraged about our Lord's soon return. I hope that you will continue to update your page and keep us informed of interesting and related information concerning the closeness of the return of our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Love In Christ
My reply I'm not discouraged. It has to be soon. This may be the separating of the wheat from the chaff. For me, I'm standing strong and waiting on my Lord. Will update ASAP, Pro and Con 118, and then 119 soon. Takes big whack out of my day just to read email.
Incoming Email My husband discovered your page several months ago and we have enjoyed it immensely. We waited May 30 and May 31 and again June 6. We were up till 2Am June 7 waiting outside in case. The weather was unusually beautiful in Southern Louisiana. We are amazed at what goes on in a subdivision after midnight on a Saturday night. We prayed for the Lord to interrupt some of the stuff. VERY Disappointed, but growing in our faith, we remain on earth. We do not see an update from you this date, although my husband tells me not to be alarmed that you wont put anything on till Monday. No one we know, including our church friends, family, business associates, best friends accepts this belief and they are ready to put us in the looney bin. We don't care what others think, we do care what Jesus thinks. We dont have anyone to call to see if they left and were we left behind. We feel we need to find another church so we can have fellowship with believers of like minds. We are ready for some meat and it seems that milk is all that is offered. We are praying for direction as to whether to sell our current house and buy something much smaller which can be paid in full, take early retirements and prepare for the things that will obviously happen very soon or wait a little longer. Keep feeding us, we will buy your books tomorrow. Cant wait. God has blessed you with a gift don't bury it. We praise HIM for gifting you and we appreciate you for using it. God Bless all of your efforts. You are in our prayers.
My reply You were not left behind. I couldn't get anything uploaded yesterday for reading and answering email. Will today, Lord willing. I'm working hard.
Good luck at finding a church that goes beyond milk. Since moving to Riverside, I have had to settle for just going to worship the Lord with other believers.
For now, just hang on and wait and watch.
It looks like June 7, 1998 has come and gone without the LORD's return for us.
Here is what I think: Most scholars believe that Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem was on April 6, AD 32. We all know that the second temple was destroyed on Sunday, August 5, AD 70. This is a period of exactly 14,000 days between these events. Thus, Gentile domination of Jerusalem began in AD 70 and ended with Jordon on June 7, 1967, a time span of 1,897 years. I think that this period of 14,000 days represents the length of a generation in Daniel's prophecy.
According to Zachary's research of Daniel's "time-oriented" prophecies, human events appear to be controlled with parallel 14,000 day time lengths in both the 1st century and the 20th and 21st centuries. In modern history, the 14,000 days began on June 7, 1967, when Israel took control of Jerusalem and end on October 4, 2005 AD, the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah).
If Christ will come again on October 4, 2005, then seven years must be subtracted from this date to obtain a possible date for the beginning of Daniel's 70th week. By taking the maximum time length for the seven years given in Daniel 9:27, 12:12, and Revelation 11:2-3, we arrive at Friday, August 28, 1998.
Friday, August 28, 1998 equals to the Hebrew calendar date of Elul 6, 5758. In turn, Friday, Elul 6 associates with three units for the number six as follows:
....Friday is the 6th day of the week
....The Hebrew month "Elul" is the sixth month
....The 6th day of the 6th month.
Will Daniel's final seven years begin on a date that is associated with three sixes?
Thus, it looks to me that the rapture could occur sometime between now (June 7, 1998) and August 28, 1998. Don't forget that President Clinton is promising that a peace agreement will be signed by "the middle of June". That doesn't give us much time does it? Lots of love to you.
Incoming Email I am truly expecting the rapture at any moment. I was already for May 31, 1998! I just checked your website and noticed that you are now expecting a June 7, 1998 rapture. Well, I just checked my watch and it's June 8, 1998. Any new thoughts??? I also have great respect for Peter Hader's Bible Code work. I know from a statistical point of view that God had to have written the codes. So...what does it all mean?
Keep up the good work! I know the rapture is soon, and I'm trying to stay prepared but you know it's very hard. I'm amazed with all that I know how my fleshly nature keeps trying to come in and steal the victory away.
God Bless You! Keep your website current so I can stay up with your latest thoughts!! Maranatha!
Incoming Email It's Monday, June 8 and I'm not surprised to be here. We all should have learned from the May 31 date that there is definitely a delay from Pentecost. Hopefully it is only seven days like Noah
I'm still with you all the way.
Incoming Email Looks like the delay is longer than one week, or maybe you counted from the wrong date.
Perhaps the day and hour is indeed unknown to us, while the season is known. We are in the season, no doubt, and should be ready each day to meet our Lord. I didn't really expect the June 7 date to pan out, though I didn't know why until now.
If June 7 is the true date of Pentecost, then a 7-day delay would put the delayed rapture date at June 14. If there was to be a delay, and Pentecost was the day to look for, then June 14 would have to be THE day for the rapture if the rest of your studies are correct regarding this particular event. Counting 7 days from May 31 is not the way to go, IMO, if June 7 is the real date for Pentecost.
We'll have to wait and see what happens. Personally, I think that the rapture will come unexpectedly, thus we must be sure to remain constantly filled with the Holy Spirit so we are ready to go. Many scriptures point towards our Lord tarrying, though only a few suggest a time-frame. I suggest that the Lord did indeed give us a wake-up call, but is keeping the hour of His coming a secret. I know that He says He does nothing without first telling his prophets, but does this really mean he'll tell them the exact dates, or that He tells them what will happen (speaking of events, rather than exact times)? I guess it depends how pedantically you wish to interpret this passage as to what answer you will come up with. I have an open mind, but am still weary of interpreting scripture too technically.
If you think my rationale for June 14 makes any sense, post my note on your Pro and Con section of your web page. It COULD happen then, but I'm not looking for it to happen on any specific day. My goal is to be ready whenever He comes.
I wouldn't adjust your home page header in light of my note, in any case, though this is your prerogative. Too many people will ignore your hard work if you keep changing the dates, even though there is much merit in what your studies have revealed. If the rapture is not something that can be dated precisely, then no amount of work will reveal it, though I think your time-table for end times events is certainly in the ball park.
The rapture is soon, IMO. World events line up as the Bible predicted, and it won't be long before the antichrist will appear on the scene. In His love
Incoming Email It is about 12:30 pm Monday and I have been checking your website every half hour to see if you have posted anything since the Rapture did not happen yesterday. I also have been checking Peter Hadar's website and it seems he has taken it down and there is nothing at all posted. I can only imagine he is devastated...as he was last week when it did not happen on the 31st. I hope and pray you are not withdrawn into depression or hopelessness.
I want (need) to tell you how I feel...since reading your books and following our much anticipated "watching". I feel like I am in a vaccum or some kind. I feel like I "almost made it" out of this world and now having to come back to the reality of the time passed and I am still here - well, I just feel like I am still in a kind of spiritual realm...not of this world....and it is hard to concentrate on the daily duties this life demands. I find I want to just curl up in a corner with my Bible and the Holy Spirit and let Him comfort me and explain to me what has happened (or not)...to answer my questions of "why didn't Jesus come?" after all the scriptures just seemed to fit so perfectly. Where do we go from here? What do we do now?
Don't misunderstand...I love and trust the Lord with all my heart and I still expect Him to come back to get us. However, after "watching" and waiting so long...what do we aim for now? Are we to just forget trying to figure it out and wait? Do we re-think our position on a pre-trib rapture? Do you still think He will come this 1998? So many questions...and no one to answer them. Please do not abandon yur website, as Peter Hadar seems to have done. Please talk to us. Love in Christ...Here, There, Or In The Air!
My reply Pre-Trib, definitely; 1998, I think. Lord willing, I won't abandon web site until the Rapture takes place....
The Lord is prompting you to read your Bible. Read Gen. 7 and 8 carefully. Noah was going in and out of the Ark during the 7 days.
Hang in there. This is probably a test, a separating the wheat from the chaff. Stay strong and stay ready....It is a time to show our staying power.
