Incoming e-mail, Re: Your books are terrific!
I have been reading many authors and commentaries over the years
and just picked up "Heaven Found" while browsing. What a gold mine!
I'm thankful to God that He enabled you to shed so much light on many
difficult bible passages. I quickly ordered and read a copy of your first book and
will be rereading my bibles, I guarantee!
My wife had been studying Song of Songs - her anticipation and love of
Jesus abounds even more now from reading your writings

My reply to Michael Detwiler
I was forwarded your interesting information by a friend because it ties in with what I have said about 1998 in my book, Exit: 2007: The Secret of Secrets Revealed.
Just as both Enoch and Elijah were raptured, it looks to me like there will be two Raptures, Pre-Trib for the Church saints and Pre-Wrath for the Tribulation saints.
I expect the Pre-Trib Rapture on Pentecost in 1998 (5758). It is as the days of Noah. After entering the Ark, no fire fell. There was even a wait of 7 days before it began to storm and rain. This fits the Rapture before the 7 year Tribulation.
I expect the Pre-Wrath Rapture on the Feast of Trumpets in 2007 (5768). It is as the days of Lot. Fire fell that same day. Fire will fall on that Feast of Trumpets and destroy the city of "the wicked one," Babylon.
I believe this Feast of Trumpets will be the first day of the millennial Day of the Lord, spoken of by Joel. In 2:1-3, he said, "BLOW ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong (the army of united nations led by Gog, Ezek. 38); there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth."
This is the Day of God's Wrath. Ezek. 38:18f says, "And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face....in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains (plural) shall be thrown down...and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone."
According to Rev. 8:8, at the second trumpet judgment, "a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea" (the Mediterranean Sea). This seems to be one part of a binary asteroid that splits apart on its way in, probably at the Roche Limit.
In Rev. 8:10, at the third trumpet judgment, the other "aster" falls. "and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp."
The first section of the asteroid stops the army that is attacking Israel. God will fight for them that day. Ashkelon and the cities of the sea coast will be destroyed at noon. The second section strikes Babylon while the False Prophet is eating and forms the Lake of Fire, from which smoke will go up forever. There will be fire on Magog and Egypt will be so badly hurt that no one will live there for the next 40 years, so it seems that the asteroid comes in at an oblique angle....
If you can spare the time, I would also greatly appreciate receiving your explanation of the meanings of 5761 (the beginning of the Tribulation) and 5768 (the beginning of the Millennium).
I believe Christ will return on Nisan 1, 5768, the beginning of the Jewish Regnal Year, at the same time the other Israelite kings officially took office. Christ comes to catch up the Tribulation saints on Tishri 1, but that is not the Second Advent. Tishri 1 will be a day of thick darkness, and Zechariah 14:5f says the day of his return will not be dark. He said, "the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light."
The seven Jewish months between Tishri 1 and Nisan 1 in 5768 (a leap year) is explained in Ezekiel 39:12, "And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD."
...I read something interesting today:
De 30:3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have
compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the
nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.
De 30:4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven,
from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he
5 And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers
possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and
multiply thee above thy fathers....
Is it possible that in the Kingdom Age, after many people have been
destroyed, that the Lord will repopulate the earth with the Israelites?
He gathers them even from heaven into the land to posess it.
...I've known the Lord for 16 years and
have felt that there's so much to do and so little time. I'm resisting
the temptation to grab people by the throat and say "Wake up, will you!"
I am, however, encouraging believers to keep their garments white and
when they do get spotted, don't hesitate to get them washed - in His
Thank You for your time. I hope that the timetable is right, but even if
it isn't I will not be discouraged but rather praise Him that we have
more time to do His will on earth. 'till we meet in the clouds
About Israel being put back in the land. That's true. Israel was promised the land forever. Isa. 60:21 says, "Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever." Daniel will stand in his lot on the 1335th day (Dan. 12:12,13).
David will be a prince under Christ the King of kings. Jer. 30:9 mentions "David their king, whom I will raise up unto them." Eze. 37:23,24 says, "I will be their God. And David my servant shall be king over them." Eze. 34:23-25 says, "I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it. And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods."
However, some will choose to stay in Heaven. Hebrews 11 mentions Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham and Sara, then verses 13-16 say, These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city."...
As for my timetable, I'm not saying things have to happen when I say, but that is how it looks to me. I am human and can make mistakes. Search the scriptures and see if these things are so. My hope is that if people realize that it is possible that the Rapture is that close, they will get ready, confess their known sins so God will cleanse them of all unrighteousness (I John 1:9) and stand before God as wise virgins with plenty of the oil of the Holy Spirit in their lamps. Better to be prepared than take the chance of being left behind at the first Rapture. After all the Bible says to be filled with the Holy Spirit. We had better take that to heart and not quench the Spirit.
Hope to see you at the Rapture too. Had three dreams of Heaven. In one, a boy I led to Christ that was killed in Viet Nam ran to greet my husband and I as we walked toward the doorway of a huge building. I remember he hugged me. In another dream, I saw him again, inside (sitting at long white covered tables with benches) while looking for salt for my food. He was across the aisle and back of us a bit.
Incoming e-mail, Re: a question
My name is..., Im from Sydney Australia. I came to know Jesus as my
Lord and Saviour about 20 years ago. I recently bought your book about
the end times which was formerly known as "Exit 2007".
I think the first thing I should say to you Marilyn is that I respect
your immense dedication and devotion to the word of God. Your knowledge
is quite evident. I will not give any comment or conclusion on the book
because I have'nt even finished reading it yet.
Date setting is both interesting and controversial. On the one hand
parts of the bible oblige or compel us to be awake and to KNOW THE
TIMES, namely the latter chapters of the book of Daniel. On the other
hand when a date has been set for a certain event fails to materialize;
those who were expecting it to happen, are left somewhat bewildered,
dissapointed and not to mention open for ridicule.
My question to you Marilyn is, if some of the dates you have given i.e
31st of May 1998 fail the test (are incorrect), what impact or affect
will it have on you? and what about those thousands of Christians out
there eagerly waiting for the event?. I appreciate your reply.
Don't worry. Nothing on this Earth or anywhere else could shake my
faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no room in my life for the
slightest flicker of doubt. I KNOW who he is, the Almighty God, the
He said, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning (Lord of the Old
Testament) and the ending (Lord of the New Testament), saith the Lord,
which is (at the Rapture), and which was (at the First Advent), and
which is to come (at the Second Advent), the Almighty" (Rev. 1:8).
This agrees with Isa. 9:6: "For unto us a child is born (his humanity,
inherited from his mother), unto us a son is given (his deity,
inherited from his Father): and the government shall be upon his
shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The
mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
The date is not the important thing. I am not saying it has to happen then, just that is the way it looks to me. Search the scriptures and see if these things are so. What is important is this. If there is a possibility that the Rapture could happen that soon, people should make sure they are as wise virgins wearing white robes and with plenty of the oil of the Holy Spirit. We aren't told to be filled with the Holy Spirit for nothing. It is important if we want to be chosen as the Bride of Christ. We should use I John 1:9, confess our known sins so the Lord can cleanse us of ALL unrighteousness. Then we are filled and are not quenching the Spirit. Better to be ready, just in case. It would be terrible to get left behind the first time.
WE ARE THE "FIRST OF THE FIRSTFRUITS"
Yes! the first Rapture is the "FIRST OF THE FIRSTFRUITS." At Sinai, the Lord said,
"Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year...the feast of unleavened bread...the feast of
harvest (Pentecost), the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of
ingathering (Feast of Tabernacles), which is in the end of the year...Three times in the year all thy males
shall appear before the Lord GOD....The first (i.e., Rapture I) of the firstfruits (all those 'redeemed
from among men, being the firstfruits unto God,' Revelation 14:4) of thy land thou shalt bring into the
house of the LORD thy God" (Exodus 23:14-19).
I feel like shouting, "We are the first of the firstfruits!" Pentecost is when "The FIRST of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt
bring into the house of the LORD thy God." This is Rapture I. The Bride of Christ is the "FIRST" of the entire Body of
Christ, which is the whole "firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb."
In other words, the entire firstfruits is the Body of Christ, but the first of the firstfruits is the Bride of Christ. The Bride is
taken to Heaven in the Pre-Trib Rapture on Pentecost. The remainder of the Body of Christ is caught up to Heaven in the
Pre-Wrath Rapture on the Feast of Trumpets, the 2,300th day of the Tribulation....
His Reply, Subject: Rest of the answers
Thankyou so much for your detailed reply! Do you do anything else
besides studying the scriptures? :-) JUST JOKING. I bought your book
from a shop called "Koorong" which is a very large bookstore here in
Sydney Australia. I imagine it would be selling elsewhere as well, in
shops such as "Dymocks".
...Marilyn, I know the decision of who will be getting caught up is
entirely up to the Lord himself because it is His Bride and His Church,
but how can I be sure about myself?. Are there any rules or guides?.
The people who will be caught up in the second rapture the "pre-wrath",
will they go through the plagues and sufferings?....
>how can I be sure about myself?. Are there any rules or guides?.
Yes. To be sure we are chosen as the Bride, we should be as wise virgins
filled with the oil of the Holy Spirit. The Bible doesn't say be filled
with the Holy Spirit for nothing; it is important. When we sin, we are
quenching the Holy Spirit. This is what happened to the foolish virgins.
Their lamps were about to go out for lack of oil. We are sealed with the
Holy Spirit till the day of redemption, so we can't be lost, but we can
lose the prize of being in the first Rapture and having to wait for the
second one. It is my understanding that the first Rapture is of the
Bride of Christ, the second of the rest of the Body of Christ.
When we first accept Christ as our Saviour, Jesus cleanses us from our
OLD sins and baptizes us in the Holy Spirit (as if he dips us as a
vessel and brings us up full). At that moment, in God's eyes, we are
perfect, pure virgins, clothed in white. But as we walk the highways and
byways, we get our feet dirty with some sins. Remember when Jesus washed
Peter's feet? Peter objected, and the Lord said, "If I wash thee not,
thou hast no part with me....He that is washed needeth not save to wash
his feet, but is clean every whit, and ye are clean" (Jn. 13:8-11).
How do we let Jesus wash our feet? Look at I John 1:9. It says, "If we
confess our sins (known ones), he is faithful and just to forgive us our
sins, and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness (including unknown
Second Peter 1:4-10 is a good list of things we should do to make our
calling and election sure. Peter said, "Whereby are given unto us
exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be
partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in
the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to
your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance;
and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness
brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity (God's agape
love), For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye
shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord
Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind (like the
Laodiceans), and cannot see afar off (Heaven), and hath forgotten that
he was purged from his OLD sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren
(believers), give diligence to make your calling AND election sure: for
if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance (going
through the door, the Rapture) shall be ministered unto you abundantly
into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ."
> The people who will be caught up in the second rapture the
> "pre-wrath",will they go through the plagues and sufferings?.
Yes, up to a point, but not the worst of it when civilization as we know
it is destroyed on the 2300th day. They have to go through most of the
2300 days of the shortened Tribulation. Many will be martyrs.
The second Rapture will take place between the sixth and seventh seals.
Under the six seals are war, famine, many deaths, earthquake, rocks
starting to fall and terror over the realization that the main asteroid
will strike the Earth.
The first Rapture is in Rev. 4:1, the second is seen in Rev. 7:14.
Between them is Rev. 6. It starts with the Beast riding forth on a white
horse as a prince of peace at the beginning of the Tribulation and ends
with "For the great day of his (the Lord's) wrath is come." That is the
2300th day of the shortened Tribulation, the day of Rapture II. Right
after we see the Tribulation saints in Heaven in Rev. 7, the seventh
seal is broken in Rev. 8. Out of it come the seven trumpet judgments.
The second Rapture is just before the wrath, but on the same day. It is
as the days of Lot. The same day Lot escaped from Sodom, the fire fell.
Incoming e-mail, Re: Study
Your web site has answered many questions for me, thank you.
You probably already know this but I found another example of two
raptures with the 10 years included between the two! Read John Ch 21.
"As soon as Simon Peter heard him say,"It is the Lord," he wrapped his
outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the
water." This can be taken as the first rapture. See also Acts 12:8.
"The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish,
for they were not far from sore, about a hundred yards." This can be
taken as the second rapture 10 years later.
As I understand numbers in the Bible, often a number is multiplied by
itself to express its importance, 10*10=100. This fits right in with
I am very excited about your findings and looking for people to share
them with, wish me luck....
Thanks for this information. I had not thought about the Raptures in connection with Peter's casting himself into the sea and the others following in the boat. John 21:14 (NIV) says, "This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead."
This "third time" might be significant too. Jesus took the Old Testament saints to Heaven after his resurrection. Then two Raptures follow, one of the Bride of Christ (Church saints), the other of the rest of the Body of Christ (Tribulation saints).
Another thing that interests me is that in both Jn 21:7 and Acts 12:8, Peter wrapped his cloak around him. To go in the Rapture, we must be wearing white robes. In the account in Acts 12:14,15, "Peter is at the door" and "It must be his angel." are interesting also. Door is a symbol of the Rapture and we will be as the angels. There seems to be no end to things we can dig out of the Bible when we try....
Thanks for your input, and God bless you as you spread the word. What is important is that people realize that if there is a chance that the Rapture may be SOON, they need to be ready, like Peter, wrapping their cloaks around them. We need to use I John 1:9, confess our known sins so we can be cleansed of all unrighteousness. Then we are wearing the white wedding garments.
I was thrilled today to find your website. I have been a believer since
1976 upon reading Hal Lindseys LATE GREAT PLANET EARTH. Since that
time I have been a avid reader on every book and article I could find on
bible prophecy. I purchased your book END OF THE AGE many years ago,
and I was very excited about your style of writing and the whole general
presentation as well as your conclusions.
I have the read your book three times cover to cover. I have been on
the internet for about 10 months. I was thinking today about how nice
it would be to somehow find your address. Guess what, 10 mins. later I
stumbled on your webpage. You have done a very nice job with the
presentation. I agree with most of your conclusions.
Are you acqainted with the information that J R CHURCH publishes? I
read every word of his books and magazines. His opinions seem to run
very close to yours as far as 1998 being the year.
He uses Psalms 98 as being a correlation to 1998. Wow, it sure sounds
like the rapture.
Also, are you familiar with the new information in the Bible Codes? The
story of Ruth and Pentecost and the rapture and wheat harvest, and
jubililee all seem to tie in together.
Also I have been studying the Feasts of the Lord. Pentecost certainly
seems to be our day.
I am convinced that the rapture is on Pentecost.
I know that you probably get lots of negative feedback. Take heart, I
think you're doing a great job! I also believe that God does not want
us to be ignorance about these matters. Your friend in Christ,
I'm so glad you like my first book. It took me 23 years to write. I kept learning new things. I rewrote it seven times. The last time, my husband got me a computer, said he'd like to see it finished while he was still alive....
Glad you like the way I did my Web site. Would you believe that when we signed up for the Internet Sept 96, I had never heard of HTML? I just had to go out on the Internet and hunt up the HTML guides and programs I needed. As soon as I learned how to do something, I did it and kept looking. I'm no computer whiz, either. I just know enough to do what I need to do on my old Mac IIsi.
You liking my style of writing makes me feel good. The fifth time I wrote it, an English teacher at BIOLA told me she was sorry I had to write it once more. I needed to give people time to catch their breath and to put it in chronological order, that people that did not have the Biblical background I had might not be able to keep the sequence of events straight. I had told it step by step like I found it out. I didn't know If I could do what she said, but I just tackled it and finally got through it. I left out some things. I tend to pack it too chock full of information because that is the way I like books. Some books, I skim until I come to the meat, then slow down and digest it. I'm impatient to find the really important things....
As for J.R. Church's Secrets in the Psalms. I have the book, but can't see it. Psalm 98 starts out "O SING unto the LORD a new song," and the new song is sung after the Rapture in Rev. 5:9. That fits nicely. However, Psalm 96 starts out "O SING unto the LORD a new song." That date has passed.
Yes, I've read Bible Codes. I've read the pro and cons on the Internet also, but there has to be something there. The only thing I can't understand is how Michael Drosnin can find these things and still not become a Christian.
> I know that you probably get lots of negative feedback. Take heart, I
> think you're doing a great job! I also believe that God does not want
> us to be ignorance about these matters.
Thanks. People either love my book or hate it. There seems to be no in between. At first, I got email that said I was a false prophet because we can't know when the Rapture will be. I have never said it had to happen when I said. That is just how it looks to me. I always say to search the scriptures and see if these things be so. Lately, my email has (usually) been more complimentary.
I can't help what others think. I just tell them in the nicest way I can what I think after 37 years of really intensive study. If we disagree, that is ok. We are all trying hard to understand a difficult subject. What I think is best is to agree to disagree without being disagreeable. We are to operate in God's love. If we are filled with the Holy Spirit, his love flows from one person to another.
If we believe in Christ and are filled with the Holy Spirit, we will be chosen as the Bride of Christ and will be caught up in the first Rapture even if we are wrong about other things. What we really need to do is get ready, use I John 1:9, confess our known sins so Christ can cleanse us of all unrighteousness. This is the main message I want to get across. If the Rapture can happen within a few months, we should be wearing white robes and be as wise virgins. What does it hurt to be prepared? And what would happen if the Bridegroom came and we were not prepared? The foolish virgins will weep and gnash their teeth when they are left behind. They will be cut off and appointed their "portion with the unbelievers" (Luke 12:46). To me, it is not worth taking a chance.
My heartfelt thanks to all who like my Web Site. God's wonderful blessings on you all. May we meet at the assembly in Heaven right after the Rapture.
