Vessel Measures Record Ocean Swells
By Markus Becker, March 31, 2006
A British research team has observed some of the biggest sea swells ever measured. A whole series of giant waves hammered into their ship that were so big, according to computer models used to set safety standards for ships and oil rigs, they shouldn't even exist....
Giant wave off Africa, 1980
Near the island of Rockall, 250 kilometers (155 miles) west of Scotland, enormous waves came racing toward the vessel. When they checked their measuring instruments later, the scientists discovered that the tallest of these monster waves had hit nearly 30 meters (98 feet) at wind force 9. And it didn't come alone. "We were shaken up these waves for 12 hours," said Naomi Holliday, the leader of the expedition. Entire sets of giant waves hammered the ship....
The new data may spell trouble for sailors and shipbuilders, the British scientists believe. Their research results suggest that giant waves may be much more common than previously believed....
No wonder I read somewhere that about 200 vessels sink each year.

Re: "THE PATTERN......REVEALED, THE PROPHECY......FULFILLED"
I have studied this subject a lot and will give you my opinions. Weigh them carefully against what the Bible says and what others say. To be able to figure out the timing of Crucifixion week, we have to think in terms of the Hebrew Calendar, not the Gregorian. If we slip and think in terms of the Gregorian, we can skip one whole day in our thinking. It makes that much difference. Hebrew dates are first 12 hours of night, then 12 hours of day. Each date gets 24 hours, but they start at 6 PM on the previous day, not at midnight. Passover runs from 6 PM on Nisan 13 to 6 PM on Nisan 14.
> > John 12 says : 1: Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead. ( In Jesus' day, the Jews celebrated Passover on Nisan 15, beginning on the evening of Nisan 14. Six days before would have been on Friday evening, Sabbath Eve, Nisan 10 . According to the Bible, Nisan 15, was to be the Feast of Unleavened Bread)

> > 13: Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
> > 14: And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
15: Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt. (Y'shua, the Perfect Lamb, was presented to the House of Israel, on the tenth day of the month, Sabbath, Nisan 10.
The Son of God made the plan before the world began, and we can be certain that he followed his plan exactly. Lev. 23:5,6 says, "In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S passover. And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread."
In 30 AD, Nisan 14, Passover, was Friday, and Nisan 15, Unleavened Bread, was Saturday. Jesus was resurrected on Sunday, Nisan 16.
Backing up, Palm Sunday was Nisan 9. Therefore, Jesus came to Bethany soon after Saturday, Nisan 8 began. They fed him from food prepared on the preparation of the Sabbath, i.e., before 6 PM on Nisan 7.
The six days before Passover (Nisan 14) of John 12:1,12,13 were:
(1) Saturday, Nisan 8, Jesus arrived in Bethany a little after Nisan 8 began at 6 PM on Nisan 7
(2) Sunday, Nisan 9, Palm Sunday
(3) Monday, Nisan 10, the lamb to sacrifice at Passover was chosen, fig tree cursed
(4) Tuesday, Nisan 11, fig tree dried up
(5) Wednesday, Nisan 12, after 2 days (Wednesday and Thursday) was the Passover (Friday) (Mk 14:1)
(6) Thursday, Nisan 13, preparation of the Passover, Crucifixion and burial
I'm glad you understand "between the evenings" The lambs were killed between the evenings, between 3 and 5 PM on Nisan 13, the Preparation of the Passover."
John 19:14, 15: "IT WAS THE PREPARATION OF THE PASSOVER (Thursday, Nisan 13), and about the sixth hour (9 AM, Roman time): and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King! But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him." He died about 3 PM, as the priests were beginning to kill the Passover lambs that had to be roasted and eaten by midnight, 6 hours after Nisan 14 began. That is the only midnight Nisan 14 has. Ex. 12:29: "And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt."
Jesus was to rise again on the third day (Luke 24:7):
(7) Friday, Nisan 14, 1st day in the tomb
(8) Saturday, Nisan 15, 2nd day in the tomb
(9) Sunday, Nisan 16, 3rd day, Resurrection Day
The sabbaths were:
Friday, Nisan 14, Passover, High day, annual Sabbath
Saturday, Nisan 15, Unleavened Bread, weekly and annual Sabbath
Sunday, Nisan 16, Firstfruits, annual Sabbath
Three days and two nights in the heart of the Earth (Mt. 12:40) were:
Thursday, Nisan 13, day
Friday, Nisan 14, night then day
Saturday, Nisan 15, night then day
Sunday, Nisan 15, night
> > ( The lamb was to be killed "in the evening" which was "bain haabayim" i.e. "between the evenings" at 3:00 p.m. on the afternoon of Nisan 14.
II think it was between the evenings, between 3 and 5 PM on Nisan 13, the preparation of the Passover.
> > 15: And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer ( Since Jesus had to be killed at precisely 3:00 p.m. on the afternoon of Nisan 14, He had to eat this Passover supper at the beginning of Nisan 14, which was the evening before, at the end of Nisan 13.)
The Last Supper was at the beginning of Thursday, Nisan 13, shortly after 6 PM on Nisan 12. Jesus was crucified about 9 AM on Nisan 13, died about 3 PM on Nisan 13, and was buried just prior to 6 PM on Nisan 13.
> > John 18:28: Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.
> > 33: Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?
John 19 says: 1: Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.
14: And it was the preparation of the passover, ( the morning of Nisan 14 )
The "preparation of the passover" was Nisan 13.
Jesus was judged and crucified the day BEFORE Passover. Those mentioned in John 18:28 did not want to "be defiled; but that they might eat the passover" (after Nisan 14 began at 6 PM on Nisan 13). The lambs were being killed between 3 and 5 PM on Nisan 13. They were to be roasted and eaten before midnight, the 6th hour of the 24 hours belonging to Nisan 14. There is only one midnight that belongs to Nisan 14.
In Egypt, the firstborn of the Egyptians died at midnight, the 6th hour of the Hebrew Nisan 14. If we lose our bearings here, and think that we are talking about the midnight of Nisan 15, we will skip a whole day in our thinking. We have to keep in mind that Passover was Nisan 14, not Nisan 15. The day of preparation of the Passover was Nisan 13.
> > (John 19) 30: When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
> > 31: The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away (During the Jewish year, there are seven sabbaths known as "Shabbaton" or "high sabbaths." These Sabbaths fall upon particular calendar days rather than on days of the week. The 15th of Nisan/Aviv, is the first shabbaton during the Jewish year, and is the first day of 'Hag haMatzah' the feast of Unleavened Bread.
The Crucifixion was on Nisan 13, "because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,)" (i.e., the Feast of Passover, Nisan 14, the first annual Sabbath of the Sacred Year).
> > > Jesus could NOT have risen at sunrise on Sunday morning, because John 20:1 says: "The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre."
Sunday, the first day of the week, began at 6 PM on Saturday. Jewish days are 12 hours of night, then 12 hours of day. In John 11:9, Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day?"
> > The resurrection took place at the END of the Sabbath, at Nisan 17, at the BEGINNING of Nisan 18, the first day of the week, which is the third Mosaic feast, the Feast of Firstfruits.
I think the Resurrection was early on Sunday, Nisan 16. We have to keep in mind that there are 12 hours of night that precede the 12 hours of day.
Fred Espenak's Phases of the Moon
April 6, 30 AD (19:42) Full Moon
I accept April 6, 30 AD (Julian) as Nisan 13, the date of the Crucifixion. The Moon would have become full at 19:42 hours (7:42 PM our time). Nisan 14, Passover, would have already begun at 18 hours (6 PM). That seems perfect to me.
It's nice that our son David was born on April 6. Agape

Re: "CORRECTION re:5766/(2006-2005) 5 x 7 x 6 x 6 = 1260 days!"
> > The remnant of Israel shall flee into the wilderness FOR 1260 days; the first day of the1260 days, is the BEGINNING of Jacob’s Trouble and the day the rapture occurs, I believe.
I'm hoping for the Pre-Trib Rapture this year, but I'm not expecting the time of Jacob's Trouble to start at the Pre-Trib Rapture. I think it will be one single day, called "that day," the Day of God's Wrath, and the Day of the Lord. The Pre-Wrath Rapture will happen before noon on "that day" (Zeph. 2:3-5).
Jer 30:6-8 is talking about one single day like no other. It says, "Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness? Alas! for THAT DAY is great, so that NONE IS LIKE IT: it is even THE TIME OF JACOB'S TROUBLE; but he shall be saved out of it. For it shall come to pass in THAT DAY, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him".
Dan. 12:1,2 also tells us about that single day that is like no other--ever. It says, "And at that time (when the False Prophet comes to his end, Dan. 11:45) shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be A TIME OF TROUBLE, SUCH AS NEVER WAS SINCE THERE WAS A NATION even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered (malat, escape, leap out, i.e., be raptured), every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt."
Psa 27:5 says, "For in THE TIME OF TROUBLE he shall HIDE ME in his pavilion: in THE SECRET OF HIS TABERNACLE shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a ROCK" (Heaven, Saturn).
I think the secret of his tabernacle is that the double cube shaped Holy Place represented the two intermediate planets Mars and Jupiter. Both cubes and spheres have the same length, width and height. The cube shaped Holy of Holies represented the third Heaven, Saturn.
In II Cor. 12:2, Paul was "CAUGHT UP TO THE THIRD HEAVEN". The first heaven was Mars. The second was Jupiter. The third heaven was Saturn. In verse 4, PAUL "WAS CAUGHT UP INTO PARADISE".
Job 38:22,23 says, "Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, Which I have reserved against THE TIME OF TROUBLE, against THE DAY of battle and war?" Agape

> > Just as the ten crowns represent the power held by ten empires that once divided the power of Rome, the seven heads are the seven world-class empires which for a time ruled over all the known world, of which Rome was only one. These seven master empires in chronological order are Babylon (both Old and New), Egypt, Assyria, Medo-Persia, Greece or Macedonia, Rome, and finally the United States.
I don't see how Bush could be the Antichrist. The only place I can see the United States clearly mentioned in the Bible is II Samuel 7:23. It says, "And what one (echad, united) nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?"
I think the seven world empires are the Tower of Babel (Babylon I, ruled by Nimrod), Babylon II (ruled by Nebuchadnezzar), Media-Persia, Greece, Imperial Rome, Ecclesiastical Rome, and Babylon III (ruled by the False Prophet).
Five have fallen (Babel, Babylon II, Media-Persia, Greece, and Imperial Rome). One is (Ecclesiastical Rome), and one (Babylon III) is still to come (Rev. 17:10).
The Pope, (i.e., Ecclesiastical Rome) will rule during the first half of the Tribulation (Rev. 13:3-10). The empire still to come, ruled by the False Prophet; Rev. 13:11-18) "must continue a short space" (the latter half of the Tribulation, Rev. 17:10). Agape

"Looking For The Date of the Crucifixion, by J.R. Church"
For several years, I have suggested that Jesus was probably born on September 11, 3 B.C....My confidence in this claim came from the work of Dr. Earnest Martin. In his book, "The Star that Astonished the World," Dr. Martin espoused the 3 B.C. date, and it seemed feasible to me at the time. Furthermore, moving forward 33 1/2 years would cause the date of crucifixion to be on April 15, A.D. 32....
However, there is a fundamental flaw with that date. According to Starry Night Pro...the full moon of Passover would have been observed on Monday evening, April 14, A.D. 32, and the crucifixion would have been on Tuesday. Whoops! I’ve got a problem!
So I went back to the first-century Jewish historian, Flavius Josephus, to see if I could determine the date of the nativity. Somehow, I had overlooked a wealth of documentation....
Herod was given the royal title in Rome in 40 B.C., three years before he established his rule. Herod conquered Jerusalem on Kislev 28 (January 1, 37 B.C.), during the "Sabbatical Year." Israel observed a Sabbatical Year, beginning on October 8, 38 B.C., and continuing until September 26, 37 B.C. (Antiq. XIV, xvi, 2). This is irrefutable proof that locks in the chronology....
Herod conquered Jerusalem during the "185th Olympiad," when "Marcus Agrippa and Caninius Gallus were consuls at Rome." History agrees that these men came into office on January 1, 37 B.C. The 185th Olympiad began in July of 40 B.C., and continued for four years until July of 36 B.C. Josephus said that Herod’s victory over Jerusalem came on the same day on which Pompey had conquered Jerusalem "twenty-seven years" earlier. Pompey conquered Jerusalem on Kislev 28 (December 28, 63 B.C.), thus marking the beginning of Herod’s 34-year reign on January 1, 37 B.C. — in the 27th year (being 26 years) after Pompey conquered Jerusalem. Furthermore, Josephus said that Herod ended the rule of the Hasmoneans after 126 years. That dates from the year 163 B.C., when a peace treaty was struck between the Syrians and Judea (also a Sabbatical year), and Maccabeus was appointed to be the governor. Such facts are impossible to ignore.
The Lunar Eclipse
According to Josephus, a lunar eclipse occurred during the final months of his illness. Josephus reported that a group of young adult men were arrested while pulling down the golden eagle from above the door of Herod’s Temple. Their trial took place in Jericho. Herod was there to testify against them, but had to recline on a couch because he was too ill to stand up. His disease was growing increasingly worse. Joseph wrote that the men were condemned to be burned, along with the High Priest, Matthias:
"Herod … burnt … Matthias, who had raised the sedition, with his companions, alive. And that very night there was an eclipse of the moon"... (Antiquities, XVII, vi, 4&5).
Dr. Martin had suggested the date of a lunar eclipse on January 10, 1 B.C. However, most historians hold to an earlier lunar eclipse that occurred on March 13, 4 B.C. According to Starry Night Pro, the moon began to show the Earth’s shadow about 1:30 A.M., and finished around 6:30 A.M., with the darkest coverage being about 3:30 A.M., on the night of March 13, 4 B.C....
Herod succumbed to his illness. Josephus wrote that he died "… having reigned 34 years; but since he had been declared king by the Romans, thirty-seven" (Antiq., XVII, viii, 1). This fixes Herod’s death in 4 B.C., some months after the lunar eclipse of March 13, 4 B.C.
Josephus also records that Archelaus succeeded Herod as king, but was deposed after 10 years rule (Antiq., XVII, xiii, 2), and his kingdom was annexed to Syria, and placed under the jurisdiction of Cyrenius. This occurred in A.D. 6. Therefore, the date of Herod’s death had to be fixed in 4 B.C.
The Birth of Christ
...I learned that if the crucifixion occurred in A.D. 30, it would have been on Friday. The full moon of Passover was observed on THURSDAY EVENING, APRIL 6. If this was the date, and if Jesus was 33 years and six months old when crucified, then HE WOULD HAVE BEEN BORN IN 5 B.C., POSSIBLY ON ROSH HASHANAH, TISHR 1 (October 3, 5 B.C.). If this is the case, then my elaborate theory about Jesus being born in 3 B.C., just "went down in flames"....
Matthew wrote that Herod"… enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared" (Matt. 2:7). Later, he ordered the deaths of the male children "… from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men" (Matt. 2:16). The Magi unwittingly told Herod about the time the star appeared, leading Herod to think that the Christ child could not be over two years old. This seems to point to the triple conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn that occurred in 7 B.C., in the constellation Pisces....
Having previously accepted Ernest Martin's date, J.R. Church has changed his mind about the date that Jesus was born. I agree with his new date of Tishri 1 in 5 BC. However, I think Tishri 1 was Sept. 4, 5 BC. He thinks it was Oct. 3, 5 BC.
I went to the Calendar Converter at: http://www.fourmilab.ch/documents/calendar/
It said that Tishri 1, 3757 was the Julian September 2, but YourSky at: http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/uncgi/Yoursky shows that the Moon was not under Virgo's feet until September 4 (Rev. 12:1-5).
> > I learned that if the crucifixion occurred in A.D. 30, it would have been on Friday. The full moon of Passover was observed on THURSDAY EVENING, APRIL 6.
I think the Crucifixion was on Thursday, April 6 (Nisan 13, the preparation of the Passover; John 19:14). Agape
