Incoming e-mail, Re: two raptures

Would it be possible to list all your references pointing to two raptures along with a short explanation for each sometime in a future pro and con? You mentioned Ruth in your last pro and con 1309 and that triggered my request. I suspect this would be a long list and may take up to much of your valuable time to correlate and may not be very originative since I am sure you have covered the subject well in your many pro and cons.

My reply

All scriptures I will quote are the KJV unless marked otherwise.

In John 14:3, Jesus promised, “if I go and prepare a place for you, I WILL COME AGAIN, and receive you unto Myself, that where I am, there ye may be also.”

He left in Acts 1:9-11. It says, "And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, HE WAS TAKEN UP; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? THIS SAME JESUS, WHICH IS TAKEN UP FROM YOU INTO HEAVEN, SHALL SO COME IN LIKE MANNER as ye have seen him go into heaven."

Mt 25:6-10 says, "at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil (symbol of the Holy Spirit); for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, THE BRIDEGROOM CAME; AND THEY THAT WERE READY WENT IN WITH HIM TO THE MARRIAGE; AND THE DOOR WAS SHUT. "

Luke 21:36 says, "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may BE ACCOUNTED WORTHY TO ESCAPE (ekpheugo, to flee out, i.e., in the Pre-Trib Rapture) ALL THESE THINGS THAT SHALL COME TO PASS, and to stand before the Son of man".

Isa. 57:1-3 says, "THE RIGHTEOUS IS TAKEN AWAY FROM THE EVIL TO COME. He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness. But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress (i.e., the two beasts of Rev. 13), the seed of the adulterer and the whore."

The Pre-Trib Rapture takes place before the 2nd beast is revealed, but the first beast is already in power. Rev. 17:10 says, "And there are seven kings: five are fallen (the kings of Babel I, Babylon II, Media-Persia, Greece, Imperial Rome), and ONE IS (the first beast, leader of Ecclesiastical Rome), and the other (False Prophet, king of Babylon III) is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space." The Great Tribulation (last 3.5 years) is to be shortened.

Psa 149:1-9 says, "Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a NEW SONG, and his praise in the congregation of saints. Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. Let the saints be joyful in glory (i.e., in Heaven): let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; TO EXECUTE UPON THEM THE JUDGMENT WRITTEN: THIS HONOUR HAVE ALL HIS SAINTS. Praise ye the LORD."

From that, we can see that all the saints have to be in Heaven by the time God's Wrath is poured out on unbelievers. However, at the time of the Pre-Trib Rapture, we find out that some are left behind. They are the foolish virgins.

Luke 12:46 says, "The lord of that servant (the foolish one) will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder (lit., cut him off), and will APPOINT HIM HIS PORTION (the Tribulation) WITH THE UNBELIEVERS."

Mt 24:51 adds, "And shall cut him (the evil servant) asunder, and appoint him his portion (the Tribulation) with the hypocrites (pretenders): THERE SHALL BE WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH."

In Mt 22:10-14, Jesus said, "So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment (i.e., a white robe): And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness (i.e., outside the door); THERE SHALL BE WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH. FOR MANY ARE CALLED, BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN."

At the time of the Pre-Trib Rapture, we must be called, chosen and faithful. Rev. 17:14 says, "he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and THEY THAT ARE (present tense) WITH HIM ARE CALLED, AND CHOSEN, AND FAITHFUL." These are the wise virgins.

Rev 3:15-19 gives us some more information about the foolish virgins that do not have enough oil of the Holy Spirit. It says, "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot...So then BECAUSE THOU ART LUKEWARM, AND NEITHER COLD NOR HOT, I WILL SPUE THEE OUT OF MY MOUTH. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I COUNSEL THEE TO BUY OF ME GOLD TRIED IN THE FIRE, THAT THOU MAYEST BE RICH; AND WHITE RAIMENT, THAT THOU MAYEST BE CLOTHED, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. AS MANY AS I LOVE, I REBUKE AND CHASTEN; BE ZEALOUS THEREFORE, AND REPENT."

If the foolish lukewarm virgins and evil servants are cut off at the time of the Pre-Trib Rapture, how do they get to Heaven in time to execute the judgment written upon the heathen?

After the Day of God's Wrath has come, but before it is cast on the unbelievers on Earth, another Rapture obviously takes place. In Rev 6:17, "the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?"

Rev. 7:9-16 says, "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, WHAT ARE THESE WHICH ARE ARRAYED IN WHITE ROBES? AND WHENCE CAME THEY? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, THESE ARE THEY WHICH CAME OUT OF GREAT TRIBULATION, AND HAVE WASHED THEIR ROBES, AND MADE THEM WHITE IN THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat."

How do the foolish lukewarm virgins and evil servants get white robes? I John 1:9 shows us. It says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." When we accept Christ as our own personal Saviour, our "old sins" are forgiven, wiped off the slate. We get a new start. However, any new sins must be confessed to also bring them under the blood of Christ. The Holy Spirit that we have been quenching wells up in us like a spring of living water. Then, we have enough of the oil of the Holy Spirit to be caught up in a Rapture.

2Pe 1:4-11 says, "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: THAT BY THESE YE MIGHT BE PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE (i.e., the Holy Spirit), having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But HE THAT LACKETH THESE THINGS IS BLIND (like the Laodiceans), AND CANNOT SEE AFAR OFF (Heaven), AND HATH FORGOTTEN THAT HE WAS PURGED FROM HIS OLD SINS. Wherefore the rather, brethren (believers), GIVE DILIGENCE TO MAKE YOUR CALLING AND ELECTION SURE: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ."

1Cor 15:20-24 (Geneva) says, "(But now Christ is raised from among the dead, first-fruits of those fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by man also resurrection of those that are dead. For as in the Adam all die, thus also IN THE CHRIST ALL SHALL BE MADE ALIVE. BUT EACH IN HIS OWN RANK".

James 1:18 (i.e., Jesus' half-brother) said, "Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of FIRSTFRUITS of his creatures." James will be in the Bride of Christ group at the Pre-Trib Rapture. Rev 14:3,4 says, "And they (the 144,000 Israelites) sung AS IT WERE A NEW SONG before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth (in the second Rapture). These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are VIRGINS (like the wise virgins of Mt. 25). These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the FIRSTFRUITS unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are WITHOUT FAULT before the throne of God." The 144,000 are the only ones caught up in the Pre-Wrath Rapture that will be added to the Bride of Christ group caught up in the first Rapture. The Bride sings the "NEW SONG" after the first Rapture in Rev. 5:9.

Luke 17:26-29 says, "as it was in THE DAYS OF NOE, so shall it be also in THE DAYS (plural) OF THE SON OF MAN. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in THE DAYS OF LOT; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all."

The Pre-Trib Rapture is as the days of Noah. The Pre-Wrath Rapture is as the days of Lot. It is on the Day of God's Wrath, but before the asteroids of Rev. 8:8,10 impact Earth.

The first Rapture is also called the day of Christ." In PhiL 1:10, Paul said, "approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the DAY OF CHRIST." In Phi 2:16, he said, "Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the DAY OF CHRIST, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain."

Since there is a "last trump" (I Cor. 15:51), there has to be a first trump (I Thess 4:16,17). The latter says, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP OF GOD: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

The dead in Christ are raised in incorruption. 1Co 15:42 says, "So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption".

Rev. 3:8 says, "I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name."

Rev. 4:1 says, "After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of A TRUMPET TALKING WITH ME (the first trump); which said, COME UP HITHER, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter." Immediately, John and the other 23 elders were seated on thrones in Heaven. The elders include the 12 patriarchs and the 12 apostles of Israel.

Some have thought that it was just John that was called up to Heaven. If that were the case, only one nation would be mentioned, Israel. The wise-virgin saints are all seen in Heaven in Rev 5:9,10, and they come out of all nations. It says, "And they sung A NEW SONG, saying (to Christ), Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood OUT OF EVERY KINDRED, AND TONGUE, AND PEOPLE, AND NATION; And HAST MADE US UNTO OUR GOD KINGS AND PRIESTS: AND WE SHALL REIGN ON (epi, on or over) THE EARTH."

Rev 3:10-12 says, "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation (the Tribulation), which shall come (i.e., after the 1st Rapture) upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem."

The Bride of Christ is part of the first Rapture--except that 144,000 Israelites are added to the Bride group at the time of the 2nd Rapture. Rev. 21:9,10 says, "Come hither, I will shew thee THE BRIDE, the Lamb's wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God".

Though some think Gog's attack on Israel will take place at the time of the first Rapture, it does not come until the Day of God's Wrath, which is the day of the second Rapture. 2Peter 3:7 says, "But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against THE DAY OF JUDGMENT and perdition of ungodly men." 2 Thess. 2:3,4 (Geneva) says, "Let no man deceiue you by any meanes: for that day (Day of the Lord) shall not come, EXCEPT THERE COME A DEPARTING (the Pre-Trib Rapture) FIRST, and that that man of sinne be disclosed (second, when he strengthens the covenant of Dan. 9:27 as the Tribulation begins), euen the sonne of perdition. Which is an aduersarie, and exalteth him selfe against all that is called God, or that is worshipped: so that he doeth sit as God in the Temple of God, shewing him selfe that he is God" (Mid-Trib).

People will see the Pre-Trib Rapture take place. Psa. 40:1-3 says, "I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined (bent down) unto me, and heard my cry. He BROUGHT ME UP also out of an horrible pit (as Jeremiah was pulled up out of the miry pit), out of the miry clay (i.e., out of this body of clay), and SET MY FEET UPON A ROCK (Heaven), and established my goings. And he hath put a NEW SONG (as in Rev. 5:9) in my mouth, even praise unto our God: MANY SHALL SEE IT, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD."

I Cor. 15:51-53 says, "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at THE LAST TRUMP: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we (including Paul) shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption (when resurrected), AND this mortal must put on immortality" (after the 2nd Rapture).

1Cor 15:42 says, "So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption". It does not say it is raised immortal. We are promised immortality, but we actually become immortal when all the saints are together in Heaven. That will be on the Day of the Lord, but before the wrath of God strikes the unbelievers on Earth.

Rev 6 ends with, "For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" Then, in Rev. 7, we see the Tribulation saints in Heaven. Rev 7:9,14 says, "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands...These are they which CAME OUT OF GREAT TRIBULATION, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb (the foolish virgins, the Laodiceans, are part of this group). Therefore are they before the throne of God, and SERVE HIM DAY AND NIGHT IN HIS TEMPLE". The 7 trumpet judgments follow in Rev. 8.

The 144,000 Israelites are caught up in this 2nd Rapture. Rev 14:1-5 says, "And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And THEY SUNG AS IT WERE A NEW SONG before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God."

Rev. 11:15-18 tells us that all saints are in Heaven receiving their rewards while the unbelievers on Earth are receiving the wrath of God. It says, "there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art (on the Day of the Lord, the Day of God's Wrath), and wast (at the First Advent), and art to come (at the Second Advent, which is still 7 months future; Eze. 39:12,13); because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast REIGNED. And the nations were angry, and THY WRATH IS COME, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give REWARD unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail."

Isa 26:19-21 says, "Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. COME (i.e., this is the Pre-Wrath Rapture), my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation (i.e., God's wrath) be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity".

The Ark has in it two stone tablets on which are inscribed the Ten Commandments. I think they represent the two asteroids of Rev. 8:8,10. It is time for them to be smashed on Earth because the Ten Commandments have been broken. Moses played this out when he smashed the first tablets on the ground, because the Israelites were worshiping the golden calf. Ex 32:19 says, "And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and HE CAST THE TABLES OUT OF HIS HANDS, AND BRAKE THEM beneath the mount."

Rev 8:8-11 says, "And the second angel sounded his trumpet: and as A GREAT MOUNTAIN BURNING WITH FIRE was cast into the sea (the Mediterranean), and the third part of the sea became blood; and the third part of the creatures which were in the sea which had life died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. And the third angel sounded his trumpet: and there fell out of the heaven A GREAT STAR, BURNING AS A TORCH, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters. And the name of the star is called Wormwood".

Gen 19:10 says, "But the men (i.e., two angels) put forth their hand, and pulled LOT into the house to them, and shut to the door." Gen 19:15 says, "And when the morning arose, then the ANGELS hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city."

2Pe 2:7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked"

Gen 5:21-24 says, "And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And ENOCH WALKED WITH GOD; AND HE WAS NOT; FOR GOD TOOK HIM."

Elijah lived during the reign of Jezebel. She wanted to have him killed. His hard times were a type of the Tribulation, and he was caught up to Heaven without dying. 1Ki 19:1,2 says, "And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time."

II Ki 2:7-12 records Elijah being caught up to Heaven. It says, "And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan. And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground. And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and ELIJAH WENT UP BY A WHIRLWIND INTO HEAVEN. And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more".

Rev. 2:20-25 says, "I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman JEZEBEL, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto IDOLS. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into GREAT TRIBULATION, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. But that which ye have already hold fast till I come."

In Mt 24:36-45, Jesus spoke of the Rapture, saying, "But of that day and hour knoweth (present tense, no man knew on that day) no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But AS THE DAYS OF NOE WERE, SO SHALL ALSO THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN BE. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?"

Gen 7:11-17 says, "In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month (Chesvan 17), the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN WERE OPENED. AND THE RAIN WAS UPON THE EARTH FORTY DAYS AND FORTY NIGHTS. In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark; They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort. And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life. And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in. And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and IT WAS LIFT UP ABOVE THE EARTH."

In De. 11:14, the Lord said, "I will give you the rain of your land in HIS DUE SEASON, the first rain and the latter rain".

Hosea 6:3 says, "Then shall we know, if we follow on to know THE LORD: HIS GOING FORTH IS PREPARED AS THE MORNING; AND HE SHALL COME UNTO US AS THE RAIN, AS THE LATTER AND FORMER RAIN unto the earth."

Joel 2:23 says, "Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will (in the future) cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month." In the Bible, since chodesh means both month and new moon, the first day of the month is to be assumed unless a day number is given. The first month of the Civil Year is Tishri. The first month of the Sacred Year is Nisan.

The former rain begins in Israel on Tishri 1, the latter rain begins on Nisan 1. I think this applies to Jesus' birth on Tishri 1 and his Second Advent on Nisan 1, but it might apply to his coming at the Rapture too. The second Rapture will be on Tishri 1, the Day of God's Wrath. Could this suggest that his coming at the Pre-Trib Rapture would be on Nisan 1? That would be March 20 this year. The spring equinox would be March 21. Or could it indicate that the Rapture would be in the month of Nisan? If so, Firstfruits would be a good time. According the the Hebrew calendar, it will be April 4. 2007. According the Michael Rood's adjusted Calendar, it would be March 29. That's Ed's birthday. If the Rapture were to take place then, it would be a wonderful birthday gift. Time will tell. World events make the Rapture seems close.

Luke 17:28-31 says of the Pre-Wrath Rapture, "in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But THE SAME DAY THAT LOT WENT OUT OF SODOM IT RAINED FIRE AND BRIMSTONE FROM HEAVEN, AND DESTROYED THEM ALL. EVEN THUS SHALL IT BE IN THE DAY WHEN THE SON OF MAN IS REVEALED. In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. Remember Lot's wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the ONE SHALL BE TAKEN, AND THE OTHER LEFT. And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body (i.e., the Body of Christ) is (in Heaven), thither will the eagles (Tribulation saints) be gathered together."

Isa 40:31 says, "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Ruth 2:23 says, "So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz (kinsman redeemer, type of Christ) to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest." Ruth 4:13,17 says, "So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife". It doesn't give the exact date of their marriage, but the night she lay at his feet, he had been winnowing barley. Soon afterward, they were married. The wheat harvest could suggest Pentecost for the Pre-Trib Rapture. Agape
