Incoming e-mail, Re: appreciation

Thank you SO very much for freely sharing the information you've gleaned from your many years of diligent, dedicated Bible study along with supplemental study books, too numerous for me to even comment about intelligently...You certainly are a workman who needeth not be ashamed! We who enjoy your website have been greatly encouraged with the blessed hope of the glorious appearing of Jesus & I certainly intend to thank you in person at some point after the rapture...Naturally our total thanks go to Jesus Christ for our salvation, but I would suppose it is fine with Him that we recognize & appreciate His dedicated servants, such as yourself...Hope to see you VERY soon!!!

My reply

Thanks much for your kind words. I've worked hard to run this race in spite of its being an obstacle course, so it brings tears to my eyes to know that it is appreciated. May God bless you richly. Agape

Archaeologist Finds Tomb of King Herod

By MARK LAVIE, May 07, 2007

JERUSALEM - An Israeli archaeologist has found the tomb of King Herod, the legendary builder of ancient Jerusalem and the Holy Land, Hebrew University said late Monday.

The tomb is at a site called Herodium, a flattened hilltop in the Judean Desert, clearly visible from southern Jerusalem. Herod built a palace on the hill, and researchers discovered his burial site there, the university said.

Can you direct me to a star and planet chart for the night in Jerusalem when Jesus was taken by the temple guards? I have a hunch that Saturn was visible, but I'm not sure how to find out. Thank you for all your good work through Christ who strengthens us.

My reply

Go to Your Sky:

I checked, and yes, Saturn was up, It was in Gemini. The Sun was in Aries. When the Sun went down, Gemini.would have still been up.

At sunset on May 14, 2007, Saturn will be up also. It is in Leo near the border of Cancer. Agape

His reply

Thank you so much! Can you please tell me the date you used for the night Jesus was taken?

My reply

I used April 5, 30 AD. The Crucifixion was on Nisan 13, Thursday, April 6. Nisan 13 began at 6 PM on the Julian April 5.

The Sun is in each of the 12 constellations that make up the Zodiac one month, so the sky seems about the same on consecutive nights. Stars rise 4 minutes earlier each night, so the change from 9 PM one night to 9 PM the next night is minimal. Agape

Thanks for letting me know I have Christian friends in India. I used to correspond with someone in India, but lost his email address when my computer crashed. May God bless you richly. Stay strong regardless of what does or doesn't happen. I'm hoping for the Rapture soon, but whether it happens soon or later, nothing can make me lose my faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. In Isaiah 44:6, we can see that the Redemmer is the LORD of hosts. He is the one that appeared to Moses on Mt. Sinai. He is always the one that can be seen. No one has ever seen the Father at any time.

John 1:18 says, "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him."

Isaiah 44:6 says, Thus saith the LORD (YHWH) the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD (YHWH) of hosts; I am the first (YHWH King of Israel), and I am the last (YHWH of hosts, the Redeemer); and beside me there is no God." Agape

Political tightrope looms in EU/Vatican relations

By JOHN L. ALLEN JR., May 7, 2007

Rome - Arguments currently swirling in Brussels over an invite to Pope Benedict XVI to address the European Parliament illustrate both the depth of current tensions between the EU and the Vatican, as well as the tightrope diplomats on both sides are walking in an effort to keep lines of communication open.

The President of the European Parliament, German Hans-Gert Pöttering, extended the invitation to Benedict XVI in a March 23 meeting with the pope in Rome.

Incoming e-mail, Re: The Bride of Christ

Could you clarify the difference between the “Bride of Christ” and the “Body of Christ”? I have always thought that the “Body of Christ” represents all the people who profess Jesus Christ as Saviour; but the “Bride of Christ” is a “subset” of the “Body of Christ”. The “Bride of Christ” are those Christians who intensely love the LORD and have been living righteous lives. The “Bride of Christ” will be married to Christ at the wedding feast in Revelation, but the rest of the “Body of Christ” will simply attend the wedding as guests. What do you think?

My reply

I think you understand the difference correctly.

Here is the way I understand it. The Body of Christ includes every believer, including the Laodiceans, the foolish virgins, and those whose works are wood, hay, and stubble.

The Bride of Christ is made up of the wise virgins, i.e., the Philadelphian church for which Jesus has no words of condemnation. 1 Thess 5:19 says, "Quench not the Spirit." The wise Philadelphian virgins are not quenching the Holy Spirit. They have enough oil of the Holy Spirit to keep their lamps burning brightly. They have confessed their sins committed since they accepted Christ so all their sins are covered by the blood of Christ. Once their sins are out of the way, the Holy Spirit wells up within them like a fountain of living water.

In I John 1:3-9, John tells us how to stay in fellowship with God. He said, "That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness (i.e., sin) at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness (sin), we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

The foolish virgins need more oil of the Holy Spirit. II Pe 1:4-11 tells us how to get it. Peter said, "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind (like the Laodiceans), and cannot see afar off (i.e., Heaven), and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins (i.e., when he first believed). Wherefore the rather, brethren (believers), give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ."

It looks to me like wise virgins watch. In spite of some saying that no man knows the day or hour, it is not wrong to search for timing clues in Scripture. It is part of watching, which we are commanded to do. In Mark 13:37, Jesus said, "And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch."

Mt. 24:36 says, "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." The word translated "knoweth" is eido, of which Strong's says, "A primary verb; used only in certain past tenses). On that particular day, no man knew. It has nothing to do with today.

Today, the situation is different. The Rapture is "at hand" (Rev. 1:3). I Peter 1:8-13 says, Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ".

The time of "The Revelation of Jesus Christ" (Rev. 1:1) is the Rapture. It is "at hand" in Rev. 1:3 and 22:10, the first and last chapters. Jesus signs off saying, " Surely I come quickly. Amen. (Rev. 22:20). He comes quickly at the Rapture (Rev. 2:5).

In Rev. 3:3, the church of Sardis was told, "Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee."

Keep on watching. Agape

I've been following your analysis since roughly 1995 and I just want to wish you well. I hope this time is the charm. Right now there's a fire blazing near LA, a hurricane brewing in the Atlantic, an earthquake in Montana and a possible one week warning in the heavens.

If we're still here after Monday I fully expect you to continue your great work.
Thanks and good luck!

Thanks. I'm in for the duration, whatever happens. Hope my eyesight lasts as long as I need it. I have to keep a magnifier handy now. Agape

Summing up my beliefs about the timing of end-time events

By Marilyn Agee, updated 5-10-07

Jesus ascended on the 40th day after his resurrection. The Holy Spirit descended on the 50th day, on Pentecost, which means 50. It looks like we might ascend in the 40th year after the Sign of the End of the Age, the Six-Day War of 1967. Then, the 50th year would be 2017, the Year of Jubilee.

The number 40 means testing and probation. Jesus was tested by Satan 40 days at the beginning of his ministry. Israel was tested 40 years in the desert, then they entered their promised land. The Ark Noah built floated up at the end of 40 days and nights of rain. I think Adam was tested 40 years before being cast out of the Garden of Eden, and that we are tested 40 years, 1967 to 2007. Here's hoping we go into our promised land, Heaven at the end of these 40 years.

"My beloved (i.e., Christ) spake, and said unto me (the Bride of Christ), RISE UP (qum, i.e., COME), MY LOVE, MY FAIR ONE, AND COME AWAY. For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone (i.e., Nisan is past); The flowers appear on the earth (April showers bring MAY flowers); the time of the singing of birds is come (spring), and the voice of the turtle (turtledove) is heard in our land (April to October); The fig tree putteth forth her green figs (Nisan 10 on), and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell (late May or early June). ARISE, MY LOVE, MY FAIR ONE, AND COME AWAY. O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock (i.e., in Christ), IN THE SECRET...OF THE STAIRS (like Jacob's ladder, these stairs reach to Heaven)" (Song 2:10-14).

Ascension Day, the 40th day of the omer, when Jesus went up into the clouds.

"Now learn a parable of the fig tree (Israel, Joel 1:6,7); When his branch (klados, scion broken off for grafting) is yet tender (apalos, young, i.e., no more than 19, as Israel was in 1967), and putteth forth leaves (Gaza, West Bank, Sinai, Golen Heights), ye know that SUMMER IS NIGH (the Six-Day War started June 5, summer started June 21): So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it (the kingdom of God; Luke 21:31) is near, even at the DOORS (the two doors of the Temple symbolize the TWO RAPTURES, when groups of people go into Heaven). Verily I say unto you, THIS GENERATION (those born in 1967) shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled" (Mt. 24:32-34).

Nu 32:13 says, "And the LORD'S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness FORTY YEARS, until all THE GENERATION, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed."

At the end of 40 years, the Israelites followed Joshua into the Promised Land as we will follow Jesus (Joshua from the Hebrew) into our Promised Land--Heaven.

Similarly, the first Rapture should be at the end of the 40 years since the Sign of the End of the Age, the Six-Day War of 1967. That war started June 5, before summer began June 21.

The Holy of Holies in the Temple had two doors. They stand for the two Raptures, two times that a group of saints enter Heaven. The floor of the Temple was covered with gold, suggesting the streets of gold in Heaven.

The first group of saints are seen in Heaven in Rev. 5:9. They are out of all nations.

The second group of saints are seen in Heaven in Rev. 7:14 and 14:4,5. They too are out of all nations, but among them are 144,000 Israelites that are sealed just before the Wrath of God is poured out on the unbelievers left on Earth. Only the 144,000 are added to the Bride group. They are virgins without fault before the throne of God.

We are given two lengths for a generation. Besides the 40-year generation, Mt. 1:17 gives us a 48.33 year generation.

Mt 1:13 in the KJV says, "Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim". One name was obviously left out by a scribe. The Du Tillet Hebrew Manuscript says that Abichud begat Avner, and Avner begat Eliakim.

Mt. 1:17 sums that section up saying, "So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations."

That 2030 years divided by 42 gives us 48.33 years for a generation. I believe this shows the year when the second Rapture will take place.

The 40-year generation shows that the Pre-Trib Rapture will take place in 2007. I hope it will be on Ascension Day.

The 48.33-year generation seems to show that the Pre-Wrath Rapture will take place 8.33 years later. I believe the second Rapture will take place on the Feast of Trumpets in 2015. The first Rapture, which is the first "trump of God" (I Thess. 4:16), will probably happen on Ascension Day, Iyar 26, 5767. The second Rapture, which is the "last trump" of God (I Cor. 15:51,52) would than take place on the Feast of Trumpets in Tishri, the 7th month. Those four months are the extra third of a year in that generation. I see that picture clearly now.

I think the Raptures will take place simultaneously all over the Earth.

Why was the rainbow that Ed and I drove into the inner end of a double one? My guess is that it is because there are two Raptures.

The rainbow shown to Noah was a sign of God's covenant. In Gen 9:12,13 God said, "This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth."

I think the Pre-Trib Rapture is likely to take place on Ascension Day 40 years after the Sign of the End of the Age, the Six-Day War of 1967. That is why Isaac (type of Christ) was 40 when he married Rebekah (type of the Bride of Christ) after she was brought to him.

I think the Pre-Wrath Rapture will probably happen on the Feast of Trumpets, 48.33 years after the Six-Day War, i.e., in 2015.

Only now do I understand exactly why Jesus ascended on the 40th day after his resurrection on the Feast of Firstfruits. Of course, he had to go away to be able to send the Holy Spirit back on Pentecost, but any day might have been ok for that. Why did he ascend exactly on the 40th day?

I think it was because the Firstfruits Rapture will come in the 40th year (2007) after the Sign of the End of the Age, the Six-Day War of 1967. It isn't Iyar 26, the date of Ascension Day, that is so important, it is the fact that the Head of the Bride of Christ could have ascended 40 days after his resurrection on Firstfruits to show us that the Bride-of-Christ firstfruits will ascend in the 40th year after the Sign of the End of the Age in 1967.

Forty means testing and probation. Jesus was tempted by Satan 40 days. It looks like the Church is to be tested during these 40 years.

With the Temple of the Holy Spirit gone from this Earth, the literal Temple in Jerusalem will be rebuilt on the Temple Mount. They have the red heifer. She is 3.5 years old now, and has to be sacrificed in her 4th year. The ashes are to purify the priests who will build the Temple. They have already been practicing building the Temple--with full-sized pieces.

In Mt. 24:37, Jesus told us that the Rapture is as the days of Noah. Gen. 7:17, says, "the flood was FORTY DAYS upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth." Noah's bride "WAS LIFT UP ABOVE THE EARTH" on the 40th day, probably because the Bride of Christ will be raptured in the 40th year following the Sign of the End of the Age.

Mt 24:37-40 says, "as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be (i.e., at the Pre-Trib Rapture). For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field (i.e., the field is the world); the one shall be taken, and the other left."

Woe unto those left behind. Luke 12:46 says, "The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder (lit., cut him off), and will appoint him his portion (the 2300-day Tribulation; Dan. 8:12-14) with the unbelievers" Mt. 24:51 adds, "And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites (pretenders): there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

We will stand before Christ at the Rapture. In Rev. 1:20, we are told that the candlesticks represent the seven churches. Rev 1:13-16 says, "And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle (symbol of a king that is also deity). His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars (the angels of the seven churches that he has just snatched up): and o1Peter 1:7 says, "That the TRIAL OF YOUR FAITH, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto PRAISE AND HONOUR AND GLORY AT THE APPEARING OF JESUS CHRIST"

The trial of your faith in our days applies in a special way during the last 40 years. As Israel was tried 40 years in the desert, we have been tried these last 40 years. During the Tribulation, the whole world will be tried. Rev 3:10 says, "BECAUSE THOU HAST KEPT THE WORD OF MY PATIENCE, I ALSO WILL KEEP THEE FROM THE HOUR OF TEMPTATION (trial, i.e., the Tribulation), which shall come upon ALL THE WORLD, TO TRY THEM that dwell upon the earth."

James 1:12 says "Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for WHEN HE IS TRIED, HE SHALL RECEIVE THE CROWN OF LIFE, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him."

Rev. 1:16 says, "Out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword (i.e., to cut off the foolish Laodicean virgins): and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength."

Mt 22:11-14 says, "And when the king (i.e., Christ) came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend (i.e., not the beloved Bride of Christ), how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. (like a foolish Laodicean virgin, he thought he had it made). Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness (outside the door darkness); there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For MANY ARE CALLED, BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN."

To stand before Christ on the day of the Pre-Trib Rapture, we must be called, and chosen, and faithful. Rev 17:14 says, "These (the 10 kings of the Tribulation) shall (i.e., during the coming Tribulation) make war with the Lamb (Christ), and the Lamb shall overcome them: for HE IS LORD OF LORDS, AND KING OF KINGS: AND THEY THAT ARE WITH HIM (the raptured Bride of Christ) ARE CALLED, AND CHOSEN, AND FAITHFUL."
