Ex-chief rabbi opposes new moves to visit Temple Mount By Nadav Shragai, 16/05/2007

Rabbi Zalman Melamed, chairman of Beit El Yeshiva and a prominent rabbinic figure, also stated that Jews may not visit the Temple Mount at this time. However, he added "NEXT YEAR WE WILL VISIT THE TEMPLE MOUNT TOGETHER, WITH THE ASH OF A RED HEIFER, WITHOUT ARGUMENTS AND WITHOUT QUESTIONS."

My thoughts about the Rapture

May 14, Ascension Day, Iyar 26, 5767, has now passed. The Rapture might be on Pentecost. Surely the Rapture will be in 5767. The Six-Day War started Iyar 26, 5727. The 40th year is 5767. It will end Sept. 12, 2007. Sept. 13 is Tishri 1, 5768.

The Six-Day War had to be the Sign of the End of the Age. Israel was 19. When she was 20, she could no longer be called young. Mt. 24:32-34 says, "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender (apalos, young), and putteth forth leaves (West Bank, Gaza Strip, Golan Heights, Sinai), ye know that summer (June 21) is nigh (the Six-Day War began June 5): So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it ('the kingdom of God,' Luke 21:31) is near, even at the doors (symbol of the Raptures, Rev. 3:8). Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."

We have two figures for a generation, the 40 years Israel spent in the desert before going into the promised land and 48.33 years, according to Mt. 1:17. It seems that the first "trump of God" (I Thess. 4:16) could be in 40 years and the "last trump" (I Cor. 15:51-53) in 48.33 years. I hope we will know by May 24, Pentecost. Spring agrees with Song of Solomon 2:10-14.

Song 2:10-17 says, "My beloved spake, and said unto me, RISE UP, MY LOVE, MY FAIR ONE, AND COME AWAY. For, lo, the winter is past (spring began March 21), the rain (i.e., the latter rain of Nisan) is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth (April showers bring May flowers); the time of the singing of birds is come (i.e., migratory birds have arrived), and the voice of the turtle (lit., turtledove, that arrives in April and leaves in October) is heard in our land; The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell (i.e., there are blossoms). ARISE, MY LOVE, MY FAIR ONE, AND COME AWAY. O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock (i.e., in Christ), in the secret places of the stairs (it is the secret of the stairs, like Jacob's ladder that reached to Heaven), let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely. Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for OUR VINES HAVE TENDER GRAPES (i.e., it's the end of May or early June). My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies. Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved, and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of Bether" (meaning separation, part, peice, suggesting the first of the two Raptures. The second Rapture will happen on the Day of God's Wrath, the Feast of Trumpets. The hard one to figure out is the time of the first trump, the Pre-Trib Rapture.

The 17th verse (YLT) says, "Till the day doth break forth, And the shadows have fled away, Turn, be like, my beloved, To a roe, or to a young one of the harts, On THE MOUNTAINS OF SEPARATION!"

We must stay ready and keep watching. Rev 3:3 says, "Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee." If we are watching, something will happen to help us understand.

The first Rapture is on the Day of Christ. It prededes the Tribulation. The second Rapture is on the Day of the Lord (the end of the shortened Great Tribulation). Armageddon is on the Day of God Almighty (seven months after the Day of the Lord, Eze. 39:12,13). The Day of God Almighty is the day of the Second Advent.

Jesus comes as a thief at the second Rapture, on the Day of the Lord. 1Th 5:2 says, "For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night." Verse 4 says, "But ye, brethren (believers), are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief". 2Pe 3:10 says, "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."

Rev 16:14-17 says, "the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great DAY OF GOD ALMIGHTY. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done".

In the Preview, John acted out the Pre-Trib Rapture. Rev. 1:10,11 (LITV) says, "I CAME TO BE IN THE SPIRIT ON THE LORD'S DAY, and I heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, saying, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last".

What is meant by "the Lord's day"? Some think it is Sunday, but it may indicate the Day of Christ, which could be any day of the week. Pentecost this year is Wednesday, May 23, and Thursday, May 24 (Sivan 6,7, 5767).

Some think "the Lord's day" is the Day of the Lord. I don't think that is possible for the second Rapture takes place that day. That is the Day of Destruction. Isa 13:6 says, "Howl ye; for THE DAY OF THE LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty."

Rev. 1:10 is in the Preview of the Rapture of Rev. 4:1, not the one in Rev. 7:14. In Rev 1:19, Jesus said, " Write the things which thou hast seen (before the Rapture), and the things which are (at the time of the Rapture), and the things which shall be hereafter" (after the Pre-Trib Rapture). Rev. 7:14 says, "These are they which CAME OUT OF GREAT TRIBULATION, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."

At the time of Rev 2:22, the Tribulation is still future. It says, "Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into GREAT TRIBULATION, except they repent of their deeds."

Rev. 4:1 says, "After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter" (i.e., after the Pre-Trib Rapture). The saints before God in Rev. 5:9 are out of all nations, and the Tribulation has not yet started. It starts with the breaking of the first seal in Rev. 6.

In Phil 2:16, Paul said, "Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in THE DAY OF CHRIST (i.e., the day of the Pre-Trib Rapture), that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain."

Exo 34:22 And you shall observe a Feast of Weeks for yourself, the firstfruits of the harvest of wheat; also the Feast of Ingathering at the turn of the year.

My comments on "THE RAPTURE," By Arlen L. Chitwood

> > (Part 1) this removal must be seen as one which will include all Christians, faithful and unfaithful alike (e.g., not only those having walked with God, as Enoch, but also those having involved themselves in the affairs of the world, as Lot).

Luke 12:46 says, "The lord of that servant (the unwise, i.e., the foolish virgin) will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder (lit., cut him off with the "sharp twoedged sword" of Rev. 1:16), and will appoint him HIS PORTION WITH THE UNBELIEVERS." That portion with the unbelievers is the Tribulation.

Mt. 24:51 adds, "And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him HIS PORTION WITH THE HYPOCRITES (pretenders): there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Those weeping and gnashing their teeth will be the foolish virgins. They could have gone with the Bridegroom (Christ) at the first Rapture, but they didn't have enough oil of the Holy Spirit to keep their lamps burning brightly.

> > (Part 1) The division of Christians relative to matters surrounding faithfulness or unfaithfulness, according to Scripture, occurs at the judgment seat following the removal of Christians from the earth, not by a supposed selective resurrection and/or rapture (a companion erroneous teaching pertaining to Christians going through the Tribulation [not all Christians in this case, but many]). And it is plain from the chronology of events set forth in the type in the Book of Ruth and in the antitype in the Book of Revelation (the same chronology is seen in both) that events surrounding the judgment seat must occur at the end of the present dispensation, preceding the Tribulation.

> > (Part 3) The widespread teaching that either all or part of the Church will remain on earth during the Tribulation has no basis whatsoever in Scripture. The Scriptures teach, unequivocally, that the complete Church -- all of the saved from the entire 2,000-year dispensation -- will be removed before the Tribulation begins; and that the complete Church will, at this time, appear before the judgment seat of Christ in heaven -- a judgment which, as previously seen, will apparently be completed before the Tribulation even begins on earth.

The Judgment Seat of Christ takes place on the Day of God's Wrath at the end of the shortened Great Tribulation. It is Coronation Day too, for it is the first day of Jesus' millennial rule. Every saint is present in Heaven at that time. Rev. 11:15-19 says, "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art (on the Day of the Lord), and wast (at the First Advent), and art to come (at the Second Advent 7 months future, Eze. 39:12,13); because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry, and THY WRATH IS COME, and the time of the dead, that they should be JUDGED (at the Judgment Seat of Christ), and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an EARTHQUAKE (Eze. 38:20, Rev. 16:18), and great hail."

Re: the earthquake, Eze. 38:18-20 says, "And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face. For in my jealousy and in THE FIRE OF MY WRATH have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a GREAT SHAKING in the land of Israel; So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and ALL THE MEN THAT ARE UPON THE FACE OF THE EARTH, SHALL SHAKE at my presence, and the mountains (including the asteroids of Rev. 8:8-11) shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and EVERY WALL SHALL FALL to the ground."

Rev 16:17-19 says, "And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and THERE WAS A GREAT EARTHQUAKE, SUCH AS WAS NOT SINCE MEN WERE UPON THE EARTH, SO MIGHTY AN EARTHQUAKE, and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of HIS WRATH." Bush avoids 'Christianity' at Jamestown celebration

Makes no mention of directions to 'propagate' Gospel of Jesus

By Joe Kovacs, May 13, 2007

...As WND has reported, the Jamestown settlement, which predated the Plymouth, Mass., Pilgrims by 13 years, was founded with the primary instruction from King James of England that its members propagate the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This year is the celebration of the 400th anniversary of that founding....

Looking back, 400 years later, it is easy to forget how close Jamestown came to failure. The low point came after the terrible winter of 1610. The survivors boarded their ships. They were prepared to abandon the settlement, and only the last minute arrival of new settlers and new provisions saved Jamestown. Back in London, one court official summed up the situation this way: "This is an unlucky beginning. I pray God the end may prove happier."...

Incoming e-mail, Re: we're still here

I am sooo depressed. Every year that passes by with the excitement of the new rosh hashanah, or the next pentacost building, hoping that "this is it! This is the year!" makes it harder and harder to muster up the strength to keep watching. MORE than half my brain, at this point, wants to do what everyone else in my family yells at me: "don't bother! When it happens, it happens! could be another thousand years, so get on with worrying about this life, and keep the next one to itself!"

How do you maintain the enthusiasm? The excitement? The HOPE? I am as depressed as the blackest of clouds!

My comments

I know that we are closer to the Rapture than we have ever been before. The end of this age is rapidly approaching. The signs are all around us. One day soon, Jesus will come. That is exciting. How can I be depressed? I live full of hope for the future. I keep looking for clues to when it will be.

Over and over, Jesus commanded us to watch. How can we not watch? The Rapture might be on Pentecost, just a few days from now. It has to happen before the Tribulation starts. In Luke 21:36, Jesus said, "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man", and escape we will, whether it is this year or not remains to be seen, but we will know soon.

Rev 3:3 says, "Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee." If we watch, we will know what hour he will come upon us. Noah got a 7-day notice. Maybe we will too. If we are not watching, we could miss it.

Patience has great rewards. Luke 21:19 says, "In your patience possess ye your souls." Rev. 3:10,11 says, "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown." James 1:3,4 says, "Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."

Keep on hoping. The Rapture is our blessed hope. Titus 2:11-13 says, "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ".

Jesus will come. In John 14:3, he said, "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

I want to spend my time looking for clues, not in being sad. In Mark 13:23, Jesus said, "But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things." The clues are there. We just have to find them. The picture gets clearer all the time. Agape

Incoming e-mail, Re: only one Pre-wrath rapture

Sorry to disagree with you because I'd love to be "raptured" today, tomorrow or later this month. But it is not going to happen until, Mt. 24.29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other".

Please don't bother with a 10 page reply telling me that the above quoted verses are referring to a "second rapture". In common logic, if your premise is wrong, your assumptions can be very good, but your conclusions will still be wrong. Your idea that the five foolish virgins are truly born-again children of God and part of some second rapture is a flat wrong premise. And until God leads you to repent of that particular error, you will continue to set wrong dates. You've written some good material in the past and gotten people to think and study the scriptures. I also believe and hope you are my sister in Christ, but none of us are infallible and the LORD has ways of humbling His people. Agape

My reply

Ok, I'll make this short. Mark 13:27 is the verse you want, not Mt. 24:31.

Mt. 24:31 doesn't mention anyone being gathered from Earth, only "from one end of heaven to the other".

Mark 13:27 says, "gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the EARTH to the uttermost part of heaven. "

At that time, all saints are all being gathered to the General Assembly in Heaven. Heb. 12:22-23 says, "But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the GENERAL ASSEMBLY and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect". In Christ, agape

Note: I believe Luke 21:36. It says, "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted WORTHY TO ESCAPE all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." I'm watching for the escape, the "ekpheugo", meaning to flee out: - escape, flee. That sounds like the Pre-Trib Rapture to me.

Incoming e-mail, Re: John Tng's "Pentecost Rapture"

A friend sent me John Tng's "Pentecost Rapture," (4 Apr 2007), that John posted on his Five Doves web site. He found something interesting that I hadn't noticed.

John said, "The phrase ''and brought you unto myself' of Ex 19:4 is synonymous with 'and receive you unto myself' of John 14:3! The association is uncanny. All the more so because it was the same Jesus who spoke those identical words and they appear no where else in the whole Bible!

"Mount Sinai is analogous to Mount Zion (Gal 4:24-26) -- the New Jerusalem. Both the Church (Rev 19:7-8) and the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:9) are described as the bride, the Lamb's wife! With the words in John 14:3, Jesus the Bridegroom is saying to His bride HE WILL COME AGAIN on a future Pentecost to bring her to Mount Zion -- the city for the bride!

"The Lord cleverly concealed the timing of His coming for the bride in plain sight, in the identical phrase that He used in Ex 19:4 and John 14:3. Once the key is found, the penny drops."

My thoughts about a Pentecost Rapture

I hope he is right, and that the Rapture is on Pentecost. Will it be in 2007? It seems likely. This is the 40th year since the Sign of the End of the Age, the Six-Day War of 1967, so this year seems right.

In "The Prophecies in Pentecost, J. R. Church said, "This year, Israel will celebrate Pentecost on May 23/24 (Wednesday/Thursday)."
("A Pentecost Rapture", by Steve Shackleton,

"The first trumpet of the Bible sounded on Pentecost the day the Ten Commandment were given at Sinai. Jewish tradition says the first trump sounds on Pentecost, the last trump on the Feast of Trumpets and the great trump on the Day of Atonement. These tie in well with the Rapture of the Bride of Christ when the first trump sounds and the Rapture of the remainder of the Body of Christ on the Feast of Trumpets. The great trump probably applies to the Lord's acceptance of the remnant of Israel. We can also see another similitude: God espoused Israel at Sinai on Pentecost (Jeremiah 2:2,3)....

According to "The Romance of Redemption: Gleanings from the book of Ruth" by Chuck Missler, Enoch was born on the 6th of Sivan and was raptured on the 6th of Sivan."...

According to "The Bible Handbook," by Joseph Angus, the fig sprouts at the vernal equinox, and yields three crops of fruit. The first ripens about the end of June. Thus there can be green figs in Sivan (May/June) or early Tamuz (June/July).
The Feasts of the Lord--Part V, THE FEAST OF PENTECOST

1. The giving of the Ten Commandments

Israel came to Mount Sinai on the THIRD DAY of the third month (Exodus 19:1). The Lord visited the people three days later (Exodus 19:10-17). Therefore, the commandments were given by God in the third month of the biblical religious calendar, which is the month of Sivan, on the sixth day of this month.
Luke 21:29-36 says, "And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree (Israel), and all the trees (i.e., nations); When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. (The Six-Day War started June 5; summer started June 21) So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation (i.e., born in 1967) shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. WATCH YE THEREFORE, AND PRAY ALWAYS, THAT YE MAY BE ACCOUNTED WORTHY TO ESCAPE ALL THESE THINGS THAT SHALL COME TO PASS, AND TO STAND BEFORE THE SON OF MAN."

There are two lengths given for a generation, 40 and 48.33. Israel wandered 40 years in the desert until one generation died off, then entered their Promised Land. Mt. 1:17 gives us the 48.33 years. It says, " So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations." The 2030 years divided by 42 = 48.33 years. Maybe the first Rapture will take place 40 years after the Sign of the End of the Age, the Six-Day War of 1967.

According to the Song of Solomon 2:10-16, it seems that the Rapture will be in the spring. It says, "My beloved spake, and said unto me, RISE UP, MY LOVE, MY FAIR ONE, AND COME AWAY. For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. ARISE, MY LOVE, MY FAIR ONE, AND COME AWAY. O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely. Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes. My beloved is mine, and I am his".

Isaiah 18:3-7 also indicates spring. It says, "ALL YE INHABITANTS OF THE WORLD, AND DWELLERS ON THE EARTH, SEE YE, when he lifteth up an ensign (flag) on the mountains (of Israel as in 1948?); and WHEN HE BLOWETH A TRUMPET (as in Sivan at Mt. Sinai, Ex. 19:19,20), HEAR YE. For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider (i.e., see) in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest. For AFORE THE HARVEST, WHEN THE BUD IS PERFECT, AND THE SOUR GRAPE IS RIPENING IN THE FLOWER, HE SHALL BOTH CUT OFF THE SPRIGS (zalzal, tremulous twigs) WITH PRUNING HOOKS, AND TAKE AWAY (i.e., in the spring) and cut down the branches (netiyshah, tendrils, offshoots). They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall SUMMER upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall WINTER upon them. In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion."

The word Pentecost, which means 50, appears three times in Scripture. Acts 2:1 says, "when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place." They were all in the upper room at Jerusalem. Does the UPPER ROOM suggest Heaven on Pentecost?

Why did the Holy Spirit come to the Church on Pentecost? Was it because Jesus will come to the Church on Pentecost?

Acts 20:16 says, "Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost."

At another time, Paul said, "I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost" (1 Cor 16:8).

Why did Paul "tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost"? The first of Jesus' messages to the churches was addressed to Ephesus (Rev. 2:1). It represented the apostolic church. Could "until Pentecost" suggest that the Rapture would be on Pentecost? It seems possible. Paul would have gone up from Ephesus to Jerusalem in time to be at Jerusalem on Pentecost.

The Israelite men were supposed to be at Jerusalem on the feasts of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks (OT name for Pentecost) and Tabernacles. De. 16:16 says, "Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles".

The Feast of Weeks is the time of the "firstfruits of wheat harvest. Believers are called wheat and a kind of firstfruits.

(1) 2007 is 40 years after the Sign of the End of the Age, the Six-Day War of 1967 (5727). The last day of 5767 will be our Sept. 12, 2007.
(2) 2007 is 400 years after Jamestown was established as a Christian colony in the New World In May, 1607.
(3) 2007 is 490 years after Martin Luther tacked his 95 theses to the church door in 1517, starting the Protestant Reformation.

1Thess. 4:16.17 says, "the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and WITH THE TRUMP OF GOD: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

1Cor. 10:11 says, "Now all these things happened unto them (Israel) for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world (lit., ages) are come."

Evidently, the Israelites came to Mt. Sinai on Sivan 3, and the trumpet sounded three days later.

Ex. 19:16-20 says, "And it came to pass on the THIRD DAY IN THE MORNING (Sivan 6), that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and THE VOICE OF THE TRUMPET EXCEEDING LOUD; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled. AND MOSES BROUGHT FORTH THE PEOPLE OUT OF THE CAMP TO MEET WITH GOD; and they stood at the nether part of the mount. And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. And WHEN THE VOICE OF THE TRUMPET SOUNDED LONG, AND WAXED LOUDER AND LOUDER, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice. And THE LORD CAME DOWN upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and THE LORD CALLED MOSES UP to the top of the mount; AND MOSES WENT UP."

This is good reason to think the Rapture will be on Pentecost. Israel is celebrating Pentecost on Sivan 7, May 24, this year. Sivan 6 is Wednesday, May 23, 2007. The chances that it could be the time of the Rapture are good, because 2007 is the 40th year since the Sign of the End if the Age, the Six-Day War of 1967.

After Moses went up, the Lord immediately told Moses in the next verse, "Go down." Why? I think it was because Moses will come down with Elijah at the beginning of the Tribulation on Sivan 6, 5769 (May 29, 2009).

If the Rapture does not take place this year, we have two more Pentecosts to look forward to.

Psa 47:5-9 says, "God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet. Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted."

Zec 9:14 And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.

I Cor. 15:51-53 says, "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality."
