"A thundering silence on Temple Mount's depredation"

By Hershel Shanks, Jewish World Review Sept. 10, 2007
http://www.jewishworldreview.com/0907/shanks_har_habayis.php3?printer_friendly

...On July 18, 2007, I published an op-ed piece in the Wall Street Journal, headed "Biblical Destruction," protesting the Waqf excavation. It has had no effect. Since then, the excavation has been extensively expanded.

Observers have reported seeing numerous antiquities in the excavated dirt and in the trench, including mosaic tesserae, a quantity of pottery vessels (some of which had been freshly broken by the tractor scoop) and carefully carved and decorated building stones typical of the Second Temple period. Last week, as I said earlier, the excavation hit part of an unusually wide wall that has now been destroyed. It could well have been part of the Temple complex....

"What the Talmud Really Says About Jesus"

by David Klinghoffer, Religion BookLine -- Publishers Weekly, 1/31/2007 http://www.publishersweekly.com/index.asp?layout=articlePrint&articleID=CA6411679

...It seems fair to say now, however, that the Talmud is every bit as offensive to Christians as the Gospels are to Jews.

The Talmud's scattered portrait of Jesus unapologetically mocks Christian doctrines including the virgin birth and the resurrection. Which isn't to say that the rabbinic invective is meant simply to insult. In his book, the author calls the Talmud's assault on Christian claims "devastating."

"It is a very serious argument," said Schaefer, who emphasizes that the rabbis' stories about Jesus were never intended as an attempt at historically accurate narrative. Rather, in the classic Talmudic style, they encode legal and theological argumentation in the form of sometimes-imaginative storytelling....

Archaeologists: Muslim Dig Damaged Temple Wall

Etgar Lefkovits
http://www.dailyalert.org/

A month-old Islamic dig on Jerusalem's Temple Mount to replace faulty electrical cables has damaged an ancient wall that is likely a remnant of the Second Temple, Israeli archaeologists said Thursday. Among the antiquities that have been damaged are a 7-meter-wide wall that apparently dates back to Second-Temple times and was likely part of the Temple courts, according to Israeli archaeologists from the nonpartisan Committee Against the Destruction of Antiquities on the Temple Mount. Hebrew University archaeologist Dr. Eilat Mazar said that the Temple Mount had become "one big construction site." (Jerusalem Post)

Olmert Offers Judea, Samaria, Divides J'lem in Draft Accord

http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/123549

(IsraelNN.com) Israel's government has agreed, in writing, to hand over 6,250 square kilometers of land – the equivalent of its entire biblical and strategic heartland - to an Arab terror state. So reports Dr. Guy Bechor, a leading expert on Arab affairs, who also supplies some of the details of the negotiations.

Bechor reports, based on "leaks from the Palestinian side," that Israel has, in the past few days, presented Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas at least one draft of an "agreement of principles."

Peres: Gül epitome of contemporary man

http://www.todayszaman.com/tz-web/detaylar.do?load=detay&link=120980

9-6-07...Israeli President Shimon Peres answers questions about Turkey’s role in the Middle East in an exclusive interview posed by Today’s Zaman columnist Abdülhamit Bilici in Jerusalem. "Erdogan declared that he is for a secular government, not for an Islamic government. You might be suspicious of his words. The more important thing is his actions. Is he behaving like an Islamist fundamentalist? The mere fact that Turkey is maintaining relations with Israel is the best declaration about the nature of the government," Peres said.

Regarding former Foreign Minister Abdullah Gül's new role as president of Turkey, Peres said: "I met Mr. Gül. I think he is a responsible man and he contributed positively to our relations. I feel that he is a man of contemporary times and a politician who really would like to see Turkey as a free and democratic country. I think he will act with a sense of secular responsibility."...

Do you have practical suggestions for Turkey in empowering Palestinians?

Turkey can build new industrial parks. Turkey made a name for itself as a good builder. It is also building in Russia, for example. So why not build here? We have to build bridges instead of building walls.

But you are building walls?

Because we are forced to, it’s not our choice. The walls stopped suicide bombings; we haven’t had it since then. It wasn’t our pleasure [to build the walls].

Do you think that one day it might be demolished?

One-hundred percent. We are experts in dismantling walls.

Incoming e-mail, Re: Interval Between The Pre-Trib Rapture And The Beginning of the Tribulation

Thanks, Marilyn, for copying me on this email. Just read ALL of P&C 1329. Fabulous stuff, just a treasure trove of insight. I am on the edge of my seat now as the days slip by. It disturbs me that so many believers discount His Soon coming. I want to be faithful and warn all I can to get ready. When I was a very young boy (~1960-61) a scene from a black and white movie about Noah's ark seared itself into my memory. I remember the rains coming, the water rising, and the door to the ark being shut with people outside the ark swimming and screaming, beating against the ark, clamoring to get in to no avail. Way back then the LORD was preparing me for this magnificent event. He knew all the temptations that would confront me along the way and all the distractions that would present themselves to cause me to lose my crown and miss out. I am determined to hold that fast which I have and be found wide-eyed, cleansed, filled with His Spirit, ready and waiting for His glorious return. I wouldn't miss it for anything this mere world has to offer!!! Thanks for your faithfulness to Him. Agape

One interesting thing. If you simply remove the "points" on a diagram of the Star of David...you get the underlying geometry...a perfect hexagon. agape

Thanks for reminding me. It is interesting, because it ties in with the hexagon on Saturn's north pole. Agape

Incoming e-mail, Re: 7-Day Warning

I noted you had TWO posts ...on your website. THANK YOU!

Marilyn, I don't know if we will meet in the air this coming week, but I just want you to know how much I appreciate your God-given insights. You have brightened my days and given me so much hope. So many people are afraid to look for the specific "day and hour," but you have been bold in stating what you believe. Even if the dates come and go, my HOPE IN THE LORD has been renewed and regenerated. It has helped me look harder and more intensely than ever before.

Although I have been an avid watcher for the past couple of years, I've been "studying" prophecy since the l970's when I read Hal Lindsey's "Late Great Planet Earth." I truly believe Jesus WILL come in my lifetime, and I am waiting and watching with bated breath. I can't hardly sleep sometimes for thinking about it!

Here's a small insight into my story: When I was eight years old, I was hospitalized with pneumonia/asthma. I was near death. I could barely see people, only their images, but not their details. However, at my lowest point, I saw Jesus, YES, BEAUTIFUL, WONDERFUL, JESUS, standing at the foot of my bed, clearly, in complete detail. He didn't say a word, Marilyn. He just smiled that beautiful, sweet, tender smile and looked at me. And I KNEW beyond a shadow of a doubt I would NOT die at that time. And here I am, almost 43 years later, and I am still waiting to see His beautiful face one more time! I can't wait!!!

I was writing one of my left-behind letters (I do that sometimes when I am longing for Jesus and hurting for those who will be left here), and I had a vision like none other I've ever had. I was in Heaven, sitting across from Jesus. It was a very casual conversation. He had his elbows leaning on his knees, slightly bent forward, and He was looking at me, again, with such love and tenderness, as if I were the only other person in the universe. I began to cry, and then weep, and then sob, heaving sobs, as I said to Him, "It is because of YOU that I'm here." And then my vision ended.

I am so homesick for Him, Marilyn. Having seen the very face of Jesus, I want nothing more than to run to Him and hug Him and tell Him how much I love Him and how grateful to Him I am for what He did for me.

Will I feel ashamed? I'm not sure. I have felt such shame already for what I've done and who I am and what I've been, that all I can feel is grateful for His sacrifice for me. I think I will feel so overwhelmed with gratitude, I will just sob controllably with gratefulness.

At any rate, THANK YOU, MARILYN, for your wonderful work in watching and discerning for us, and for your utmost faithfulness. I hope to see you soon, very soon, with Jesus in the air!

Lovingly, Have a great day in the Lord!

My reply

Thanks for your kind words. Sorry to be so long answering. My computer will barely operate. It consumes a lot of time that I should be working on answering emails. I'm hopeing for Pentecost, 2008. Agape

Why the 144,000 Israelites Sing the New Song Before the Throne in Heaven

By Marilyn Agee

In "Things to Come,' Dwight Pentecost said, "In chapter seven the 144,000 are sealed by God, set apart to a special ministry, before the great tribulation begins. THEY SEEM TO BE SEALED AT THE VERY OUTSET OF THE TRIBULATION period. In all probability the multitude of Gentiles, described in the passage that follows (Rev. 7:9-17), has come to a knowledge of salvation through the ministry of this group. In chapter fourteen the same group is pictured at the termination of the tribulation, when the kingdom is established. The returning King is on Mt. Zion, as was predicted of Him (Zech. 14:4). At His return the faithful witnesses gather unto Him, having been redeemed (Rev. 14:4) and having faithfully witnessed in the midst of apostasy (Rev. 14:4,5). They are called 'the first-fruits unto God and to the Lamb' (Rev. 14:4), that is, THEY ARE THE FIRST OF THE HARVEST OF THE TRIBULATION PERIOD THAT WILL COME INTO THE MILLENNIUM TO POPULATE THE MILLENNIAL EARTH." (emphasis mine)

I see the 144,000 differently. Rev 6:12,17 says, "I beheld when he had opened the SIXTH SEAL, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and THE SUN BECAME BLACK AS SACKCLOTH OF HAIR, AND THE MOON BECAME AS BLOOD; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven (i.e., the smoky heavens) departed as a scroll when it is rolled together (i.e., so men can see the Sign of the Son of Man in the heavens); and every mountain and island were moved out of their places (i.e., in the worldwide earthquake of Eze. 38:20). And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains (i.e., the asteroids of Rev. 8:8-11) and rocks, Fall on us, and HIDE US FROM THE FACE OF HIM THAT SITTETH ON THE THRONE (i.e., the Sign of the Son of Man seen in the sky), and from the wrath of the Lamb: For THE GREAT DAY OF HIS WRATH IS COME; and who shall be able to stand? "

Of that day, Mt 24:30 says, "And then shall appear THE SIGN OF THE SON OF MAN IN HEAVEN: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and THEY SHALL SEE THE SON OF MAN coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." This is the Day of God's Wrath, the day of darkness, not his Second Advent in glory. That is still 7 months in the future.

Following the wrath of God hitting Earth in Eze. 38:18-20, Eze. 39:12,13 says, "And SEVEN MONTHS SHALL THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL BE BURYING of them, that they may cleanse the land. Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD." He will return in glory at the Second Advent 7 months after the Day of God's Wrath, the day of darkness. The Day of God's Wrath will be Tishri 1, the Feast of Trumpets. I think the Second Advent will be the following Nisan 1, the first day of the Regnal and Sacred Year in a Jewish Leap Year (the only time there are 7 months between Tishri 1 and the following Nisan 1).

Rev 11:17 takes place in Heaven on the Day of God's Wrath. It says, "We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art (on the Feast of Trumpets, Tishri 1), and wast (at the First Advent), AND ART TO COME (at the Second Advent 7 months later); because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned (this is also called the Day of the Lord). And the nations were angry, and THY WRATH IS COME, and the time of the dead, that they should be JUDGED (at the Judgment Seat of Christ), and that thou shouldest give REWARD unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. And the temple of God was opened IN HEAVEN, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail."

Only after Rev. 6 describes the Day of God's Wrath do we read of the 144,000 Israelites being sealed. Rev 7:1-4 says, "And AFTER THESE THINGS (i.e., after the Day of God's Wrath had come) I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel."

The type is found in Eze 9:1-6. It says, "He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even EVERY MAN WITH HIS DESTROYING WEAPON IN HIS HAND. And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar. And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side; And the LORD said unto him, GO THROUGH THE MIDST OF THE CITY, THROUGH THE MIDST OF JERUSALEM, AND SET A MARK UPON THE FOREHEADS OF THE MEN THAT SIGH AND THAT CRY FOR ALL THE ABOMINATIONS THAT BE DONE in the midst thereof. And to the others he said in mine hearing, GO YE AFTER HIM THROUGH THE CITY, AND SMITE: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: BUT COME NOT NEAR ANY MAN UPON WHOM IS THE MARK; and begin at my sanctuary."

This is clear. I think the 144,000 Israelites will be sealed on the Day of God's Wrath, not on the first day of the Tribulation.

Why? because the Pre-Wrath Rapture will follow. No one gets caught up in either Rapture without being sealed. 2 Cor 1:22 says, "Who hath also SEALED US, AND GIVEN THE EARNEST OF THE SPIRIT in our hearts."

Besides the 144,000 Israelites, there will be a great multitude caught up to Heaven. Rev 7:9 says, "After this I beheld, and, lo, A GREAT MULTITUDE, WHICH NO MAN COULD NUMBER, OF ALL NATIONS, AND KINDREDS, AND PEOPLE, AND TONGUES, STOOD BEFORE THE THRONE, AND BEFORE THE LAMB, CLOTHED WITH WHITE ROBES, and palms in their hands".

Notice that only the 144,000 are numbered. The rest of the great multitude cannot be numbered.

Rev. 7:14-17 tells us more about this whole group. It says, "one of the elders (i.e., one of the 24 seen in Heaven in Rev. 4:4) answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, THESE ARE THEY WHICH CAME OUT OF GREAT TRIBULATION, AND HAVE WASHED THEIR ROBES, AND MADE THEM WHITE IN THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB (therefore, they had on spotted robes at the time of the Pre-Trib Rapture). Therefore are they before the throne of God (i.e., in Heaven), and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. THEY SHALL HUNGER NO MORE, NEITHER THIRST ANY MORE; NEITHER SHALL THE SUN LIGHT ON THEM, NOR ANY HEAT. FOR THE LAMB (i.e., Jesus, the Lamb of God seen in Heaven in Rev. 5:6) WHICH IS IN THE MIDST OF THE THRONE SHALL FEED THEM, AND SHALL LEAD THEM UNTO LIVING FOUNTAINS OF WATERS: AND GOD SHALL WIPE AWAY ALL TEARS FROM THEIR EYES."

Rev 14:1-7 says, "lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion (the heavenly one), AND WITH HIM AN HUNDRED FORTY AND FOUR THOUSAND, HAVING HIS FATHER'S NAME WRITTEN IN THEIR FOREHEADS. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder (i.e., the 'last trump' of I Cor. 15:51,52): and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a NEW SONG before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders (that were caught up to Heaven at the first trump of God, Rev. 4:1,4): and NO MAN COULD LEARN THAT SONG BUT THE HUNDRED AND FORTY AND FOUR THOUSAND, WHICH WERE REDEEMED FROM THE EARTH. These are they which were not defiled with women; for THEY ARE VIRGINS. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the FIRSTFRUITS unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for THEY ARE WITHOUT FAULT BEFORE THE THRONE OF GOD. And I saw another angel fly in the midst of HEAVEN, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the EARTH, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for THE HOUR OF HIS JUDGMENT IS COME and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."

After the Pre-Trib Rapture, the 24 elders are seen in Heaven. They can be numbered. They are the Representatives of the whole Bride-of-Christ group caught up to Heaven in the first Rapture. After the Pre-Wrath Rapture, only the 144,000 can be numbered, and they are the Representatives of the rest of the Israelites that are included in the FIRSTFRUITS group. The 144,000 are added to the Bride of Christ group, because "THEY ARE WITHOUT FAULT BEFORE THE THRONE OF GOD." Therefore, both the Bride-of-Christ group caught up in the Pre-Trib Rapture and the 144,000 Bride-of-Christ group caught up in the Pre-Wrath Rapture can sing the NEW SONG.

Rev. 5:8-10 says, "And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. And they sung a NEW SONG, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and HAST REDEEMED US TO GOD BY THY BLOOD OUT OF EVERY KINDRED, AND TONGUE, AND PEOPLE, AND NATION; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on (epi, or over) the earth."

I think the 24 elders are the 12 patriarchs and the 12 apostles of Israel, John himself included. Notice that the group they represent are out of all nations, not just Israel.

Rev 3:12-19 says, "Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent."

Psa 149:1-9 says, "Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD."

What might the new song say? The Lord has given us some examples.

Psa 33:1-22 says, "Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a NEW SONG; play skilfully with a loud noise. For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth. He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD. By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. FOR HE SPAKE, AND IT WAS DONE; HE COMMANDED, AND IT STOOD FAST. THE LORD BRINGETH THE COUNSEL OF THE HEATHEN TO NOUGHT: HE MAKETH THE DEVICES OF THE PEOPLE OF NONE EFFECT. The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men. From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works. There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because WE HAVE TRUSTED IN HIS HOLY NAME. Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee."

Psa 40:1-3 says, " I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. HE BROUGHT ME UP also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock (i.e., Heaven, Saturn), and established my goings (i.e., at the Rapture). And HE HATH PUT A NEW SONG IN MY MOUTH, even praise unto our God: many shall see it (the Rapture), and fear, and shall trust in the LORD."

Psa 96:1-13 says, "O sing unto the LORD a NEW SONG: sing unto the LORD, all the earth. Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts. O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth. Say among the heathen that THE LORD REIGNETH: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: HE SHALL JUDGE the people righteously. Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof. Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice Before the LORD: for he cometh, for HE COMETH TO JUDGE THE EARTH: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth."

Psa 98:1-9 says, "O sing unto the LORD a NEW SONG; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm (i.e., Jesus Christ), hath gotten him the victory. The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King. Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together Before the LORD; for HE COMETH TO JUDGE THE EARTH: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity."
