Wow! Wheat harvest is NOT ready 'til June-July? This is very interesting, that is for sure! I found a Jewish-Messianic website yesterday that is counting down the days [much like your site did for the rapture] until August 2nd, the 10th of Av this year. I wrote and asked them why - what was important this year about August 2nd, the beginning of the 10th of Av?

They said, nothing that they know of -- except it is the date that BOTH the temples were destroyed 300 years apart and they believe [these Jews, who also believe in Yeshua] -- that is is also the day that the NEW temple will be rebuilt -the start of it! If you'd like to check the site out it is at: I still think that you are right in pointing out the connection between Song of Sol. and the SPRING rapture, but the verse that I wonder about too is Jer. 8:20 "The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved..."

I can't help but wonder what this verse applies to? It implies a "summer" harvest. Then again, it seems like a long time ago, I remember a pastor telling me that the Jews do NOT celebrate what we consider "Spring" and "Fall" seasons. They have Summer, Winter and the "Harvest" festivals. So, from their point of view, what we call "Spring" would be one of the "harvests". Their SUMMER would include what we gentiles traditionally refer to as Spring. I checked my concordance and you know - there is NO reference to a season called "spring" anywhere that I can find. Do they celebrate the "Spring Equinox?" Do they even CALL it this? I don't know, Marilyn--probably could use some more looking into. If their "summer" includes what we call "Spring and Summer" combined, then Song of Sol. would STILL be in effect - right up and thru the END of Summer, which would mean Jer. 8:20 makes sense if the rapture were going to take place in for example, June-July , instead of May.

At any rate, I think we can keep looking UP no matter what!!! :-)

My reply

My thoughts have been on 40 meaning testing and probation. Christ was tested 40 days, why not us?

What else happened on the 40th day? the Ark was raised up above the mountains, and the Rapture is as the days of Noah. Israel spied out the land 40 days. Also, "the house, that is, the temple before it, was forty cubits long" (I Ki. 6:17). How about the 40th year? Israel went into the Promised Land after 40 years.

In 30 AD, Christ was resurrected. On the 40th day afterward, he ascended. It is strange that now, the 40th day, by inclusive reckoning from May 31, is July 9, Tamuz 15, the day of the full moon. The sun and moon were "for signs, and for seasons" (Gen. 1:14). Season is "moed," an appointment, an assembly, the congregation, signal, due season, appointed time, set time. (If counted from June 7, the 40th day would be July 16.)

Jer. 8:20, "The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved," is interesting. What is the summer harvest? the wheat harvest. This chart someone FAXed to me has the wheat harvest beginning in Sivan and ending in Tamuz.

In Ruth 2:21,23, Boaz said, "Thou shalt keep fast by my young men, until they have ENDED ALL MY HARVEST....So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto THE END of barley harvest AND OF WHEAT HARVEST." Pentecost is the beginning of wheat harvest, not the end of it. Unger does list Tammuz as the "Wheat harvest on highest districts; various fruits ripe. Springs and vegetation generally dried up. Bedouins leave steppes for mountain pastures. Elsewhere, country parched, dry and hard--'a dreary waste of withered stalks and burned up grass.'" Then if the Rapture was to be in Tamuz, and the Song of Solomon 2:10-14 applies, it would have to be before everything dried up, i.e., early in the month.

The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge says of Ruth 3:2, "he winnoweth. It is probable that the winnowing of grain was effected by taking up a portion of the corn in a sieve, and letting it down slowly in the wind; thus the grain would, by its own weight, fall in one place, while the chaff, etc., would be carried a distance by the wind." This sifting in a sieve reminds me that Jesus told Peter that Satan desired to have him to sift as wheat.

One other mentioned on the phone that Israel only has summer and winter. If you find more on this, please let me know.

I'm watching, hoping that this time of testing is no more than 40 days.

Her PS

Song of Sol. says, "WINTER is past..." indicating our "spring", but what if there is no real "spring" season in the Hebrew calendar? Just Summer and Winter and the "harvest feasts"? I can't find "spring" in my concordance - NOT as a SEASON!!! It also does not say "Summer is past". This could very well mean that the rapture could take place BEFORE the END of SUMMER! And everyone knows that "flowers appear on the earth" all SUMMER long! Thus, the typology would still FIT! "Winter" would be past, but SUMMER would still be in full "swing"! Right???? :-)

My reply

Thanks. You know, I was thinking Israel, but maybe here it means Earth, because v. 12 specifically says, "our land." We sure have to read carefully.

A thought to ponder
As these "dates" passed without an event, sure it was not what we all wanted, but we all know HE is right at the door... anyway, what crossed my mind about the Song of Solomn, yes it says winter is past, and gives us some insights about the "season", however it does not say "spring/ summer/fall" has past, leading me to believe the Rapture will happen before the winter sets in... also, as with many types of flowers, plants ect.. they all have different growing, and harvesting periods... so maybe the "fig" itself, starts to rippen a little later than the end of spring, moving into the next "season(s)". Tying this in with the weather changes as we speak, moving the "rippenng" season out to the right a bit....

Hi Chris:

> Why is God sometimes called elohim (God) and sometimes called jahweh (LORD God)?

God is called by several terms in Scripture, many compound names are descriptive of who he is, what attributes he possesses, and what he does for us. For instance, Yahweh-jireh, the LORD will provide; Yahweh-rapha, the LORD that healeth; Yahweh-nissi, the LORD our banner; Yahweh-Shalom; the LORD our peace, Yahweh-ra-ah, the LORD my shepherd; Yahweh-tsidkenu, the LORD our righteousness; and Yahweh-shammah, the LORD is present.

Elohim calls attention to the fullness of divine power. The primary meaning of Yahweh is "He who is," or "He that is who He is." He is the eternal "I AM." The word Havah, from which Yahweh (lit., YHVH) is formed, signifies also to become, that is, to become known. There is throughout the Bible a continuous and increasing revelation of who He is. Combining the meanings of Havah, we arrive at the meaning of Yahweh. He is "The self-existent One who reveals Himself."

The first time Yahweh appears in Scripture followed the creation of man. It was Elohim who said, "Let us make man in our image" (Gen. 1:26), but when man is to become dominant over creation, it is Yahweh Elohim who acts. Yahweh is the redemption name of Deity. It was Yahweh Elohim who sought the sinning ones, made them coats of skins and clothed them as a symbol of Christ's sacrifice as the Lamb of God for our sins.

In the continuing revelation of who God is, what he is like, and what he will do, when we get to II Corinthians 5:29, we find out "that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself."

God created Adam. Adam sinned, and so sin and its penalty, death, passed on to all mankind. But God loved man and planned a way that he could be saved from the penalty of sin. It all boils down to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. We all have that chance. Some will take it and some won't. I hope and pray that you will take it.

Christ showed us what the invisible God was like. In the continuing revelation of the mystery of God in Christ, in the last book of the Bible, "The Revelation of Jesus Christ," Christ tells us plainly, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty" (Revelation 1:8). Truly, God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself. You would be foolish to refuse his free offer of Salvation.

In His abundant love, which operates in and through believers. God's love flows from us to envelope you in his love. Don't be stubborn. Accept the best gift you ever had in your whole life.

"It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. I tell you the truth, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them" (Luke 12:37, NIV).

My reply

Thanks and the three of us are praying for those in the following news you sent me.

Excerpt from FLASH NEWS from COMPASS DIRECT. I M P O R T A N T !!!

Saudi Arabia has arrested three, maybe four, Filipino Christians for distributing Christian literature and the "JESUS" film. According to sources, they are likely undergoing SEVERE TORTURE and interrogation to force them to reveal names of other Christians in their fellowship. The wife of the fellowship leader has also been picked up and is being pressured to reveal names.

THIS IS EXTREMELY SERIOUS!!! On May 4, 1997, two Filipino Christians involved in Bible studies and Christian prayer meetings in the Saudi prison where they were jailed WERE BEHEADED BY THE SWORD!!!

This is the evil antichrist spirit operating through an evil government and system to which our own government kowtows because of OIL and MONEY, a foretaste of the Tribulation, right now!

Please pray for these dear brothers and sisters, for comfort, for protection, and for deliverance.

(Note: Readers, please join us in prayer. Someone we know had to watch a beheading in Saudi Arabia. It was done in a public place and all shoppers in the area were made to come watch. He said that they behead for just looking at a woman.)

Let me tell you what the Lord has done for me during these past few weeks through your site and our mutual anticipation of the Lord's return:

1) He has given unspeakable joy as I focus on the nearness of His return!
2) A peace has pervaded my personal circumstances in light of the impact of eternity
3) A humbling has occurred as I acknowledge His absolute sovereignty in His choice of timing...
4) A spirit of worship, a sweet savor of incense of praise, is more present than ever before...
5) A patience in suffering has deepened...
6) A desire to keep very short accounts in light of His soon presence regulates my speech and actions...
7) A commonality of pain and understanding has grown with the men on the road to Emaeus who talked of their disappointment and pain to Jesus, confessing "We thought it had been Him" . And a gentle but profound awareness that it was indeed Jesus...just not quite in the way they had expected.

So, too, do I expect Jesus with more reverence and more of a spirit of holiness than before. I confess that for me as for many of us, our longing to see Him come is based in the overwhelming tide of circumstances of our lives in these last days. Yet, it was at this very point that He urged us to "lift up our heads because our redemption IS INDEED NIGH!"

Keep on with your studies and site, Marilyn! It has accomplished great things for the Lord. And to those who have so vehemently insulted and opposed, the Lord rebuke you...there is nothing recognizable about the fruits of the spirit in such action towards a godly woman whose only fault is loving the Lord's appearing...for which she shall receive a crown in heaven!

God Bless as we continue toawait His return together!

My reply

Thanks for sharing this with me. I love that saying, and had not heard it before that I can remember. Look at Jesus and be at rest is exactly where I am at this time. I can't help but study. Once the Bible gets hold of you, it won't let go. I just wish I had more time for deep study, but I just keep at it as I can. I grab different versions to take with me in the car and read when Ed drives (we split that job between us).

Don't worry about me or about what some people say, even what a pastor said about Satan. I'm fine, feeling happy and close to the Lord, secure in the knowledge of who Christ really is. He is omnipotent. I know the Lord, and don't give Satan the least toehold. My Lord said, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" (Mt. 7:7-11). I accepted Christ, asked what He wanted me to do, asked to be filled and led by His Holy Spirit, and I am sure He did not give me a serpent.

Dear Marilyn, Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus. I felt I should send you a copy of an e-mail I am sending elsewhere.
Subject: A NOTE TO MRS. AGEE, Date: Sat, 20 Jun 1998 20:34:56 EDT, From:

To: Bob L. Ross
Thank you for your e-mail. I am sure that each of us who study the Word believe we have discovered some clues that lead us to feel we may know something, and desire to share it with others.

No one likes to be wrong, but since I am not without sin, I'll drop my stone and leave the lady in question to be dealt with by Lord Jesus, Who after making the comment, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her," then asked her, "Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?"

The Lord Jesus' last word to her was, "Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. "

If I were to be upset at all, it is that Lord Jesus did not send for his bride when the lady thought HE would do so. Yet, if one understands the work of the high priest in Israel on the day of Pentecost, who is to say that she is wrong? I had written the lady last year that if the date is wrong, I would not fall out of sorts with Lord Jesus.

Concerning Pre, Mid, and Post Tribulation theories: They are each right, and each wrong. See my lesson on the 6 raptures of Revelations. By the way, Lord Jesus spoke to the Church only once, and that was through the Apostle John in the 2nd and 3rd chapters of Revelations, and not only so, Lord Jesus only told John what HIS FATHER had given HIM to tell to John.

God's eternal purpose and God's principles never change, but his programs do. I have a teaching on "Transitions." The conditions and prospects were different in the Garden of Eden before the fall than outside the Garden after the fall. Inside, Adam had only to perform: but flesh was his weakness. Outside, Adam has to eat by the sweat of his face, but his prospect was salvation by ANOTHER, the SEED of woman. The point being made: A TRANSITION -

The flood: another TRANSITION. Noah and family carried from a world where there was evil continually and wickedness, and brought to a new (flood bathed and cleansed) world - yet the same world. The only sin in the new world is that carried into it was on the ark.

Abraham: another transition. The Exodus: another transition.
Mt. Sinai and the Law of Moses: another transition.
Lord Jesus's birth and life: another transition (God with us in the flesh).
Calvary: another transition.
Resurrection: another transition.
Pentecost: another transition.
The Apostle Paul: another transition.

All knowledge of GOD was linked to nation Israel, and they were given great and tremendous prophecies and revelations - yet in Isaiah 6:9 and 10, the nation is blinded (another transition).

Lord Jesus tells his chosen Apostles that they are given to understand HIS parables(and HE quotes Is 6:9) , but time and again the Scriptures reveal that they were not given to understand and comprehend HIS death, burial and resurrection. To understand the importance of Is 6:9, look up all the references to it in Scripture. You will find them in double digits.

Les Feldick, a wonderful Bible teacher, who can be heard on Galaxy 4, Tr. 15 (Lesea) on Saturday mornings at 6:30 a m, and on Galaxy 1, Tr. 17 (Inspirational Channel) at 7 a m Mon-Fri, emphasizes:
WHO is speaking?
To WHOM is the word spoken to?
Is there a time element, when
Is there a specific place, Jerusalem, Galilee, Egypt, the Isles?
Are there conditions needing to be met by the recipients for the promises to be received?
Is it before Calvary, or some 8 or 9 years afterwards?
BTW, Les' teachings have all been transcribed and can be printed right off the Internet. His address is, and is also listed in the listing of my web page

Most Believers don't even know that the Old Testament doesn't end until Calvary. Think about it - when does your will come into effect? If Lord Jesus said, "This cup is my blood in the new testament shed for the many," then the new testament or new covenant cannot come into effect until the death of the testator. This is the argument of the Book of Hebrews, and I only speak from it. Gal 4 tells us that 4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Lord Jesus was the Law incarnate: Rom 7: 1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. The Law is what separated man from GOD, for sin is not imputed until there is a Law. Heb 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; is even more revealing in the matter.

I have written all that is above to point out that few preachers and teachers have ever learned to separate that which is written to Israel from that which is written to the Believers, Jew or Gentile. Lord Jesus spent 3 years teaching in flesh and blood 12 apostles, and one a devil at that, later replaced in the first chapter of Acts.. Then the Crucified, Buried, Risen, Ascended and Glorified Lord of lords and King of kings gave the glorious gospel of grace by revelation to a chosen Apostle, Saul of Tarsus.

Under Law, we must forgive in order to be forgiven: Mt 6:12, 14,15; In Grace, we forgive because we have already been forgiven: Eph 4:32

What we need to understand, A TRANSITION has occurred.
The allegory of Gal 4:21-31 summarizes our actions: cast out the bondwoman and her son
Yet the Church and the preachers and teachers mix the two together, thus we have confusion, incorrect teaching and prophecies, and we set ourselves as judges, rather than leaving that to our Lord Jesus at the Judgment Seat.

I, too or also, teach on the imminent sending of the Lord Jesus for HIS bride. I do so for the Scriptures teach us to do so, and that we should exhort and encourage one another in the "worthy walk" that GOD has afore ordained that we should walk in. Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

One must use what GOD has revealed to Israel to know where we are today, for all prophecy concerns Nation Israel. The Apostles chosen by Lord Jesus in HIS earthly ministry knew nothing of the 2000 years of grace to the Gentiles, and though we as believing Gentiles have our instruction from the mouth of Lord Jesus through the mouth and pen of his Chosen Apostle to the Gentiles, we have to be taught from the Scriptures given to Israel. 2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

I believe the lady is sincerely desiring Believers to get ready to meet their BRIDGROOM. Since the high priest presents two wave loaves baked with leaven on Pentecost, and Pentecost is the end of the barley harvest - and barley was the poor folks food - I am reminded of Luke 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Lord Jesus reveals the Judgmental spirit of the Pharisee, and the humility of the publican. Which one did the Lord Jesus say was justified?

Again, I can only be saddened if the date is in error, not because someone, in goodness of heart and spirit attempted to warn us of Lord Jesus' imminent sending for his bride. In his Love, even our Lord Jesus Christ.

The rapture
I was told by a holy man in a dream the rapture would be in June. He said "You have faith, the rapture is in June"

Could this be a rapture of the Holy Spirit? In other words, is all hell about to break loose here on Earth? Just a thought.

A word of encouragement
Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ. I have been following your homepage with great attention since being told about it a few weeks prior to May 31. I know you must be getting quite a few letters from naysayers warning about date setting. I, myself, brought your predictions to the attention of my pastor and the djays of a local Christian radio station. The world truely is in need of a wake up call....

My reply

Thanks. There are not many maysayers compared to encouragers, unless you count the 421 hate emails sent by one person and numerous letters and emails sent by just a few. Some keep wanting me to print more, but I can't process very many. They are not uplifting anyway. I have very little memory on my computer and ran out of memory on my Web page again the other day. Had to take off the first Pro and Con to load another. I simply haven't the energy to put HTML on any more than I do, either. I work at it every available minute and still can't keep up. I usually don't even read them. I hit Delete to get them out of my Inbox, which has 486 emails that are genuine and need answering.

You are such an encouragement to me. I have been agitated in my spirit for the last few years, knowing something was up. As a blessing from the Lord, this agitation brought turmoil into my life, but rightly so as I came out of a terrible life of unconfessed sin. I am so grateful for your work. You have helped me zoom in on the agitations I have felt deeply. I have been studying the WORD this past year and a half, but there is so much to learn. I pray for your comfort in HIS shelter, and I pray for all the naysayers to have their hearts softened by our LORD. People who say negative things usually say them because they are lacking in something.

I am encouraged about one thing--the only two reasons people who don't believe would be reading your web site and responding are (1) they are looking for something they lack (and deep inside they know it) or (2) they are not of God and are just trying to discourage you which we all know WILL NOT WORK. So, with that said--Keep the faith, Sister. HE will be here soon! Christ's Love and Light be with you!

My reply

Remember, Christ promised us peace. You can have inner peace in the midst of chaos. First, no sin committed before we accepted Christ counts. They are wiped off the books. We are to forget them. We are new creatures. Any sin committed since we first believed should be confessed and then forgotten. Of course, we can also make restitution and ask people to forgive us as well. The Lord will lay it on our hearts what we should do in that respect. Sometimes that helps us forget them. Anyway, God gives us a new start. Christians should live for the future, not dwell on the past. We should be serene and confident, knowing the the Lord will help us through every situation. We must think about good things, forgive others and let bygones be bygone. There is no way we can reroll them anyway. We can't let the past spoil the future.

You have the right attitude. I prayed for the naysayers too. I care not one whit whether they let up on me or not; I'm just deleting them unread anyway. I have more important things to do. What I care about is that no sin be credited to them on my account. This time of testing is no time to be acting like that. It is a time to prove what we are made of. Scripture says, "love one another" (Rom. 13:8).

I would keep the faith unto death. Don't worry. This life is a test. I aim to pass with flying colors.
