A NOTE TO MRS. AGEE: MARILYN, YOU HAVE YET A FEW HOURS DURING WHICH YOU CAN BE "RIGHT"
To: Bob L. Ross Pilgrimpub@aol.com
Thank you for your e-mail. I am sure that each of us who study the Word believe we have discovered some clues that lead us to feel we may know something, and desire to share it with others.
No one likes to be wrong, but since I am not without sin, I'll drop my stone and leave the lady in question to be dealt with by Lord Jesus, Who after making the comment, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her," then asked her, "Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?"
The Lord Jesus' last word to her was, "Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. "
If I were to be upset at all, it is that Lord Jesus did not send for his bride when the lady thought HE would do so. Yet, if one understands the work of the high priest in Israel on the day of Pentecost, who is to say that she is wrong? I had written the lady last year that if the date is wrong, I would not fall out of sorts with Lord Jesus.
Concerning Pre, Mid, and Post Tribulation theories: They are each right, and each wrong. See my lesson on the 6 raptures of Revelations. By the way, Lord Jesus spoke to the Church only once, and that was through the Apostle John in the 2nd and 3rd chapters of Revelations, and not only so, Lord Jesus only told John what HIS FATHER had given HIM to tell to John.
God's eternal purpose and God's principles never change, but his programs do. I have a teaching on "Transitions." The conditions and prospects were different in the Garden of Eden before the fall than outside the Garden after the fall. Inside, Adam had only to perform: but flesh was his weakness. Outside, Adam has to eat by the sweat of his face, but his prospect was salvation by ANOTHER, the SEED of woman. The point being made: A TRANSITION -
The flood: another TRANSITION. Noah and family carried from a world where there was evil continually and wickedness, and brought to a new (flood bathed and cleansed) world - yet the same world. The only sin in the new world is that carried into it was on the ark.
Abraham: another transition. The Exodus: another transition.
Mt. Sinai and the Law of Moses: another transition.
Lord Jesus's birth and life: another transition (God with us in the flesh).
Calvary: another transition.
Resurrection: another transition.
Pentecost: another transition.
The Apostle Paul: another transition.
All knowledge of GOD was linked to nation Israel, and they were given great and tremendous prophecies and revelations - yet in Isaiah 6:9 and 10, the nation is blinded (another transition).
Lord Jesus tells his chosen Apostles that they are given to understand HIS parables(and HE quotes Is 6:9) , but time and again the Scriptures reveal that they were not given to understand and comprehend HIS death, burial and resurrection. To understand the importance of Is 6:9, look up all the references to it in Scripture. You will find them in double digits.
Les Feldick, a wonderful Bible teacher, who can be heard on Galaxy 4, Tr. 15 (Lesea) on Saturday mornings at 6:30 a m, and on Galaxy 1, Tr. 17 (Inspirational Channel) at 7 a m Mon-Fri, emphasizes:
WHO is speaking?
To WHOM is the word spoken to?
Is there a time element, when
Is there a specific place, Jerusalem, Galilee, Egypt, the Isles?
Are there conditions needing to be met by the recipients for the promises to be received?
Is it before Calvary, or some 8 or 9 years afterwards?
BTW, Les' teachings have all been transcribed and can be printed right off the Internet. His address is www.LesFeldick.org, and is also listed in the listing of my web page www.a-o.com/drgeneblakely/
Most Believers don't even know that the Old Testament doesn't end until Calvary. Think about it - when does your will come into effect? If Lord Jesus said, "This cup is my blood in the new testament shed for the many," then the new testament or new covenant cannot come into effect until the death of the testator. This is the argument of the Book of Hebrews, and I only speak from it. Gal 4 tells us that 4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Lord Jesus was the Law incarnate: Rom 7: 1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. The Law is what separated man from GOD, for sin is not imputed until there is a Law. Heb 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; is even more revealing in the matter.
I have written all that is above to point out that few preachers and teachers have ever learned to separate that which is written to Israel from that which is written to the Believers, Jew or Gentile. Lord Jesus spent 3 years teaching in flesh and blood 12 apostles, and one a devil at that, later replaced in the first chapter of Acts.. Then the Crucified, Buried, Risen, Ascended and Glorified Lord of lords and King of kings gave the glorious gospel of grace by revelation to a chosen Apostle, Saul of Tarsus.
Under Law, we must forgive in order to be forgiven: Mt 6:12, 14,15; In Grace, we forgive because we have already been forgiven: Eph 4:32
What we need to understand, A TRANSITION has occurred.
The allegory of Gal 4:21-31 summarizes our actions: cast out the bondwoman and her son
Yet the Church and the preachers and teachers mix the two together, thus we have confusion, incorrect teaching and prophecies, and we set ourselves as judges, rather than leaving that to our Lord Jesus at the Judgment Seat.
I, too or also, teach on the imminent sending of the Lord Jesus for HIS bride. I do so for the Scriptures teach us to do so, and that we should exhort and encourage one another in the "worthy walk" that GOD has afore ordained that we should walk in. Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
One must use what GOD has revealed to Israel to know where we are today, for all prophecy concerns Nation Israel. The Apostles chosen by Lord Jesus in HIS earthly ministry knew nothing of the 2000 years of grace to the Gentiles, and though we as believing Gentiles have our instruction from the mouth of Lord Jesus through the mouth and pen of his Chosen Apostle to the Gentiles, we have to be taught from the Scriptures given to Israel. 2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
I believe the lady is sincerely desiring Believers to get ready to meet their BRIDGROOM. Since the high priest presents two wave loaves baked with leaven on Pentecost, and Pentecost is the end of the barley harvest - and barley was the poor folks food - I am reminded of Luke 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Lord Jesus reveals the Judgmental spirit of the Pharisee, and the humility of the publican. Which one did the Lord Jesus say was justified?
Again, I can only be saddened if the date is in error, not because someone, in goodness of heart and spirit attempted to warn us of Lord Jesus' imminent sending for his bride. In his Love, even our Lord Jesus Christ.
Incoming Email The rapture
I was told by a holy man in a dream the rapture would be in June. He said "You have faith, the rapture is in June"
Could this be a rapture of the Holy Spirit? In other words, is all hell about to break loose here on Earth? Just a thought.
Incoming Email A word of encouragement
Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ. I have been following your homepage with great attention since being told about it a few weeks prior to May 31. I know you must be getting quite a few letters from naysayers warning about date setting. I, myself, brought your predictions to the attention of my pastor and the djays of a local Christian radio station. The world truely is in need of a wake up call....
My reply Thanks. There are not many maysayers compared to encouragers, unless you count the 421 hate emails sent by one person and numerous letters and emails sent by just a few. Some keep wanting me to print more, but I can't process very many. They are not uplifting anyway. I have very little memory on my computer and ran out of memory on my Web page again the other day. Had to take off the first Pro and Con to load another. I simply haven't the energy to put HTML on any more than I do, either. I work at it every available minute and still can't keep up. I usually don't even read them. I hit Delete to get them out of my Inbox, which has 486 emails that are genuine and need answering.
Incoming EmailYou are such an encouragement to me. I have been agitated in my spirit for the last few years, knowing something was up. As a blessing from the Lord, this agitation brought turmoil into my life, but rightly so as I came out of a terrible life of unconfessed sin. I am so grateful for your work. You have helped me zoom in on the agitations I have felt deeply. I have been studying the WORD this past year and a half, but there is so much to learn. I pray for your comfort in HIS shelter, and I pray for all the naysayers to have their hearts softened by our LORD. People who say negative things usually say them because they are lacking in something.
I am encouraged about one thing--the only two reasons people who don't believe would be reading your web site and responding are (1) they are looking for something they lack (and deep inside they know it) or (2) they are not of God and are just trying to discourage you which we all know WILL NOT WORK. So, with that said--Keep the faith, Sister. HE will be here soon! Christ's Love and Light be with you!
My reply Remember, Christ promised us peace. You can have inner peace in the midst of chaos. First, no sin committed before we accepted Christ counts. They are wiped off the books. We are to forget them. We are new creatures. Any sin committed since we first believed should be confessed and then forgotten. Of course, we can also make restitution and ask people to forgive us as well. The Lord will lay it on our hearts what we should do in that respect. Sometimes that helps us forget them. Anyway, God gives us a new start. Christians should live for the future, not dwell on the past. We should be serene and confident, knowing the the Lord will help us through every situation. We must think about good things, forgive others and let bygones be bygone. There is no way we can reroll them anyway. We can't let the past spoil the future.
You have the right attitude. I prayed for the naysayers too. I care not one whit whether they let up on me or not; I'm just deleting them unread anyway. I have more important things to do. What I care about is that no sin be credited to them on my account. This time of testing is no time to be acting like that. It is a time to prove what we are made of. Scripture says, "love one another" (Rom. 13:8).
I would keep the faith unto death. Don't worry. This life is a test. I aim to pass with flying colors.
