At the same time, the LAST TRUMP saints will be called to the GENERAL ASSEMBLY from one end of the EARTH to the other. Mark 13:27 says, "And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the EARTH to the uttermost part of HEAVEN."

I say a Great Chastisement will occur. The Chastisement will affect EVERYONE including all and even those who believe they will be raptured before this event. Here's why - Remember the Elect.......

Now considering that we are not near the time of the end of the world, or even near the time of the Antichrist, what is happening now that makes everyone think of end times? It is quite obvious that something is about to happen to the whole world, but what is it if not the time of the Antichrist or the end of the world?

Matthew 24:21 “For there will be great tribulations, which have not been from the beginning of the world until now, nor will be after. 22 And unless those days were shortened no flesh would be saved but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23 Then (after that) if any man say to you: “Lo there is Christ, or there, do not believe him. For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders insomuch as to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”

Now read that again. It says the greatest tribulations in the history of the world will come on all mankind, but it will not be the end of the world (for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened). The elect will be here during the tribulations, and not raptured. Then, even after that, if people say that Christ is here or coming, do not believe it, even if he (or they) perform miracles.

Ezechiel 29:1-11 The Great War is part of the great chastisement but not the time of the Antichrist, as you can see in Ezechiel’s description of the time after the great war.

Ezechiel 29:12-15 “And the house of Israel will bury them for seven months. And all the people of the land will bury them and it will be a noted day, said the Lord God. And they will appoint men to go continually about the land to bury and to seek out them that were remaining on the face of the earth that they many cleanse it, and after seven months they will begin to seek. And they will go about passing through the land and when they shall see the bone of a man they will set up a sign by it until the buriers bury it in the valley of the multitude of God.”

Now read this again also. Seven months after the Great War, the people left on earth will go around the entire world seeking out those who they might find alive. Why wait seven months? Then the people will send out another group of people to mark the places where they find the dead but not bury them. After that another group of people will bury the dead. The only explanation I can come up with on this is nuclear radiation.

"If those days had not been shortened - no one would have survived! But, those days will be shortened for the sake of the elect." (Matt. 24:22) The fact that the elect survive proves it is not the end of the world.

"There will come upon the world a period of distress unparalleled since nations first came into existence." (Dan 12:1)

This shows that this period will be worse than the flood and cover the entire world. Worse, in the sense that more people will die, but we have more people on earth now so that does not mean that it will cover the entire world

I say the rapture will not happen before the Chastisement.

My reply

> > I say a Great Chastisement will occur.

It certainly will, but it will be at the end of the 2300-day Shortened Tribulation. On that day, God's Wrath will hit unbelievers left on the Earth after the 2nd Rapture has taken place. Rev. 11:15-19 shows that all saints will be in Heaven getting their rewards when God's wrath hits the unbelievers left on Earth on the great and terrible Day of the Lord..

It says, "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art (on the Day of the Lord), and wast (at the First Advent), and art to come (at the Second Advent, 7 months after this; Eze. 39:12,13); because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry, and THY WRATH IS COME, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest GIVE REWARD unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; AND SHOULDEST DESTROY them which destroy the earth. And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail."

> > Now considering that we are not near the time of the end of the world, or even near the time of the Antichrist, what is happening now that makes everyone think of end times?

But the time of the end of the Age "is near". To me, that is inescapable. The Sign of the End of the Age was the Six-Day War of 1967. It could not happen after that year, because Israel was already 19 years old. That was the last year she could be called young, as when the Israelites came out of Egypt.

In Mt 24:32-34, Jesus said, "Now learn a parable of the fig tree (Israel, Joel 1:6,7); When his branch (klados, a young tender shoot broken off for grafting) is yet tender (apalos, soft, filled with sap, i.e., young), and putteth forth leaves (Gaza Strip, Sinai, Golen Heights, West Bank), ye know that summer is nigh (the Six-Day War started June 5, summer began June 21): So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it (the Kingdom of God, Luke 21:31) IS NEAR, even at the doors (symbol of the 2 Raptures, Rev. 3:8). Verily (Amen, so be it) I say unto you, This generation (i.e., those born in 1967) shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."

1967 + 48.33 (a generation, Mt. 1:17) = 2015 plus 4 months (June, July, August, September, or Sivan, Av, Tamuz and Elul on the Jewish Calendar). The end of this age seems to be Sept. 14, 2015. That is Tishri 1, 5776, the Feast of Trumpets when the 7 trumpet judgments hit the Earth. By that time, all the saints must be in Heaven.

Therefore, the 70th week of Daniel 9:27 (counted by Jewish Inclusive Reckoning because it is a block of time) started Oct. 21, 2008. That was the 8th day of Tabernacles. The shortened Tribulation of Dan. 8:13,14 will start May 29, 2009, Pentecost.

The Pre-Trib Rapture should take place before next Pentecost. In Luke 21:36, Jesus said, "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE ALL THESE THINGS THAT SHALL COME TO PASS, AND TO STAND BEFORE THE SON OF MAN."

When Heaven's door is opened the first time, the Bride of Christ will stand before the Son of Man in Heaven. Rev. 4:1 says, "a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither".

In Rev 5:9, this congregation of saints "sung a NEW SONG, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation".

Psa 149:1 says of those saints in Heaven, "Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a NEW SONG, and his praise in the CONGREGATION OF SAINTS."

All saints will be in Heaven before the Wrath of God is poured out on the unbelievers left on Earth. Psa 149:5-9 says, "Let the saints be joyful in glory (i.e., in Heaven): let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have ALL HIS SAINTS. Praise ye the LORD."

I'm hoping for the Pre-Trib Rapture Kislev 24 (Dec. 21, 2008).

The Rapture of the Tribulation saints will be on the Day of God's Wrath. Rev 6:15-17 says, "And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" Then, Rev. 7:14 shows that the Tribulation saints are in Heaven. After that, the 7 trumpet judgments start to hit Earth in Rev. 8.

There are the elect that are the Bride of Christ, and there are the elect during the Tribulation. Of the Tribulation saints, only the 144,000 Israelites will be added to the Bride group. Rev 14:3-5 says, "And they sung as it were a NEW SONG before the throne (i.e., in Heaven), and before the four beasts, and the elders: and NO MAN COULD LEARN THAT SONG BUT THE HUNDRED AND FORTY AND FOUR THOUSAND, which were redeemed FROM THE EARTH. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for THEY ARE WITHOUT FAULT BEFORE THE THRONE OF GOD."

Mt 24:31 says, "And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his ELECT from the four winds, from one end of HEAVEN to the other." How did this group get in Heaven? They were caught up in the Pre-Trib Rapture.

Mark 13:27 says, "And then (on the Day of God's Wrath) shall he send his angels, and shall gather together HIS ELECT from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the EARTH to the uttermost part of HEAVEN." These two groups are both his elect. Those gathered from the Earth are the Tribulation saints. Those gathered from one end of Heaven to the other are those that were caught up to Heaven before the Tribulation began.

Both groups of his elect will be called to the general assembly in Heaven on the Day of the Lord. Heb 12:22,23 says, "But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the GENERAL ASSEMBLY and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,"

> > After that another group of people will bury the dead. The only explanation I can come up with on this is nuclear radiation.

The Bible shows that this is the aftermath of two asteroid impacts. After the 7 angels are given the 7 trumpets, a symbolic asteroid is thrown to the Earth. Rev 8:5 says, "And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake."

Evidently, the asteroid, maybe a binary, will break into two large pieces at the Roche Limit, releasing a flurry of smaller rocks. Some will fall like figs off of the tree in the wind. Others will weigh around 100 pounds each.

Rev 8:8-11 says, "And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea (i.e., the Mediterranean): and the third part of the sea became blood; And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star (aster) from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood".

Wormwood is Satan's home. The time is the Day of God's Wrath. Isa 22:5 says, "For it is a day of trouble". Then Isa. 22:16-19 says, "What hast thou here? (Babylon) and whom hast thou here (the False Prophet), that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here, as he (Satan) that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and that graveth an habitation for himself in a ROCK? Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee. He will surely VIOLENTLY TURN AND TOSS THEE LIKE A BALL INTO A LARGE COUNTRY (not tiny Israel): there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house. And I will drive thee from thy station, and from thy state shall he pull thee down."

Satan's asteroid is the "flaming sword which turned every way" in Gen. 3:24. It says, "So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims (i.e., planets), and a flaming sword which turned every way (rotating and orbiting), to keep the way of (or to) the tree of life" (the heavenly one; Rev. 2:7).

Josephus, a Pharisee priest, revealed that the lampstand in the Temple stood for the planets, including the Sun (the western lamp that was to always be kept lit) (Ant. III. VI. 7 and Wars 5. 5. 5). The 7 lamps stood for (1) the Sun, (2) Mercury, (3) Venus, (4) Earth, (5) Mars (6) Jupiter, and (7) Saturn. From Earth, Saturn is the third heaven (II Cor. 12:2).

Satan's original planet Rahab (that later split apart) was between Mars and Jupiter, where our Asteroid Belt is now. Isa 51:9 says, "Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD (i.e., Christ); awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut (lit., split) Rahab, and wounded the dragon?" (Satan). Not only was Satan's planet split apart, his asteroid will impact Earth, forming the Lake of Fire.

> > This shows that this period will be worse than the flood and cover the entire world. Worse, in the sense that more people will die, but we have more people on earth now so that does not mean that it will cover the entire world

Dan. 11:45; 12:1-4 says, "And he (the False Prophet) shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas (between the Mediterranean and Dead Sea) in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. And at that time (when the False Prophet will come to his end) shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time (the Day of God's Wrath) thy people (i.e., the 144,000 Israelites in Rev. 7) shall be delivered (malat?, escape; i.e., in the 2nd Rapture), every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."

I think we entered "the time of the end" when the 70th week of Daniel 9:27 started on Oct. 21, 2008. Now is when "the wise shall understand" (Dan. 12:10).

> > I say the rapture will not happen before the Chastisement.

I think there will be two Raptures, one before the Tribulation, the other on the Day of God's Wrath. In Luke 21:36, Jesus said, "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy TO ESCAPE ALL THESE THINGS that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."

All saints will be in Heaven before the Wrath of God is poured out on the unbelievers left on Earth. My reply to "Question on the below Article," omitted because of the length

> > Could you please address the below article, I was kind of disturbed when I read it. Mr. Schwertley gives some good reasons about their not being a pre-tribulation rapture, the only part that didn't make sense was the last part "The “No Signs Verses Many Signs” Argument". I don't want to doubt that there is going to be a pre-trib rapture.

Mr. Schwertley is following the untruths spouted by the Preterists. They think the Olivet Discourse and the book of Revelation are about the destruction that took place in 70 AD. To me, that is ridiculous.

The Rapture was expected in the first century, and it is still expected today. In the first century, James, half brother of Jesus, said, "Why do you ask me respecting Jesus the Son of Man? He is now sitting in the heavens, on the right hand of great Power, and is ABOUT TO COME ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN." That's why they killed him (Eusebius' Ecclesiastical History, The Martyrdom of James).

I expect the Rapture on Kislev 24 (Dec. 21, 2008). Why? Haggai 2:18,19 says, "Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month (Kislev), even from the day that the foundation of the LORD'S temple was laid, consider it. Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: FROM THIS DAY WILL I BLESS YOU."

Today, believers are the temple of the Holy Spirit. 1Cor 6:19 says, "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" After we are caught up, the literal temple can be built in Jerusalem.

Pseudo-Ephraem (c. 374-627) preached, "All the saints and elect of God are gathered together BEFORE THE TRIBULATION, which is to come, AND ARE TAKEN TO THE LORD, in order that they may not see at any time the confusion which overwhelms the world because of our sins." He understood that the Rapture will come before the Tribulation. The Preterist's claim that the Rapture was not taught until 1830 is ridiculous.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ is written as if it is 10 days before the Pre-Trib Rapture. From that vantage point, Jesus looked both backward and forward to describe events. In Rev. 2:10, Jesus said, "Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation TEN DAYS: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." Crowns will be given after the Rapture.

The Rapture is "at hand" in both the first and last chapters. Rev 1:3 says, "Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for THE TIME IS AT HAND." Rev. 22:10-13 says, "he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for THE TIME IS AT HAND. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning (LORD of the Old Testament) and the end (Lord of the New Testament), the first and the last." Jesus signs off with, "Surely I come quickly."

The Revelation of Jesus Christ is organized around three things. Rev. 1:19 says, "Write the THINGS WHICH THOU HAST SEEN (i.e., before the Rapture), and the THINGS WHICH ARE (at the Rapture), and the THINGS WHICH SHALL BE HEREAFTER" (after the Rapture).

Hereafter begins in Rev. 4:1. It says, "After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, COME UP HITHER, AND I WILL SHEW THEE THINGS WHICH MUST BE HEREAFTER."

There is no way anyone can convince me that the "things which must be hereafter" the Rapture have already taken place. In Luke 21:36, Jesus said, "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE (i.e., by being raptured) all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." We will stand before Jesus after the Rapture.

Right after the Rapture, Jesus will be given the seven-sealed Title Deed to the Earth. Only after that can the 2300-day shortened Tribulation of Dan. 8:13,14 take place.

> > > In the immediate context (Revelation 4:2) it says that John the apostle is transported to the throne room of heaven. Not one word is uttered that suggests that John represents the church or that the people of God as a whole are taken to heaven. Also, there is not any mention or any indication whatsoever of a descent by Christ or a resurrection of the saints. In Revelation 4:1 there is mention of a trumpet but this is not the trumpet blast announcing the rapture. It is a voice that has a sound of a trumpet just like the voice of authority

Rev. 4:1 is the Rapture. In verse 4, we see John and the other 23 elders (the 12 patriarchs and 12 apostles of Israel) sitting on their thrones in Heaven. In Rev. 5:8,9, we see that the saints in Heaven are out of every nation on Earth. It says, "saints. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood OUT OF EVERY KINDRED, AND TONGUE, AND PEOPLE, AND NATION."

> > > There is no scriptural reason to assume a seven year gap between the rapture and return. Given the passages discussed in our consideration of Premillennialism, the rapture, second coming, and general judgment all occur on the same day. The saints meet Christ in the air and return to earth with Him.

The rule of the two beasts of Rev. 13 would span 7 years, the 70th week of Daniel 9:27, if the Tribulation was not shortened to 2300 days (Dan. 8:13,14).

If meeting Christ in the air and returning to earth with Him was so, the saints wouldn't go to their heavenly home they are promised. God doesn't go aagainst his word. Mt. 6:20 says, "lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal".

John 14:2-4 says, "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know (to the 3rd heaven, Saturn), and the way ye know."

We do know the way to Saturn. Our Cassini spacecraft was sent up in 1997. It arrived June 30, 2004, and is in orbit around Saturn now. A sign, it was sent in '97, took 7 years to get there, and orbits Saturn, which has 7 rings. Cassini is one of the most ambitious missions ever sent into space. Its powerful instruments and cameras have found out that the moon Enceladus spouts ice that ends up in Saturn's ring system.(http://saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/spacecraft/index.cfm).

Saturn is Jesus' throne (Eze. 1:26-28). Zech 3:9,10 (LXX) says, "as for the stone which I have set before the face of Jesus, on the one stone are seven eyes" (orbs); and Saturn has 7 rings.

The Pre-Trib Rapture will take place before the 2300-day Shortened Tribulation. There will be another Rapture, the Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Tribulation saints, just before the wrath of God hits Earth (Rev. 6:19; 7:9,14; 8:1).

There will be a 7-month gap between the Day of God's Wrath and the Second Advent. Eze. 39:12,13 says, "And SEVEN MONTHS shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD." The day Jesus will be glorified will be the day of the Second Advent.

> > > Conclusion
> > > Although the pretribulation rapture theory is very popular today, given arguments that are offered in support of this doctrine we must declare Pretribulationalism to be contrary to the clear teachings of Scripture. Simply put, there is not one shred of evidence that can be found in the Bible to support the pretribulation rapture. The typical Pretribulational arguments offered reveal a pattern: of imposing one’s presuppositions onto a text without any exegetical justification whatsoever; of finding subtle meaning between words and/or phrases that were never intended by the author; of spiritualizing or ignoring passages that contradict the Pretribulational paradigm; and, of imposing Pretribulationalism upon passages that actually teach the unity of the eschatological complex (i.e., the rapture, second coming, general resurrection, and general judgment all occur on the same day—the day of the Lord). It is our hope and prayer that professing Christians would cast off this escapist fantasy and return to the task of personal sanctification and godly dominion.

I go by Scripture. Luke 21:36 says, "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE ALL THESE THINGS THAT SHALL COME TO PASS, AND TO STAND BEFORE THE SON OF MAN."

The Tribulation follows the Pre-Trib Rapture. Rev. 4:1-3 is plain. It says, "After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I WILL SHEW THEE THINGS WHICH MUST BE HEREAFTER. And immediately I was (lit., became) in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set IN HEAVEN, and one sat on the throne. And he (Jesus) that sat was to look upon like a jasper (1st stone in the breastplate) and a sardine stone (last stone in the breastplate; i.e., Jesus is the first and the last, both LORD of the Old Testament and Lord of the New Testament): and there was a rainbow (7 color rings) round about the throne (Saturn), in sight like unto an emerald" (Judah's stone in the breastplate, i.e., Jesus is of the tribe of Judah).

There is a First Trump Rapture (I Thess. 4:16,17) and a "last trump" Rapture (I Cor. 15:51,52). All are changed into immortal beings at the last trump. Between the two Raptures is the 2300-day Shortened Tribulation. Dan. 8:13,14 says, "Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice (1st half of the Tribulation), and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot (during last half of the Tribulation)? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed."

I think the 70th week of Daniel 9:27 started Oct. 21, 2008, the 8th day of Tabernacles. The Pre-Trib Rapture may take place Kislev 24. Hannukah will begin at 6 PM, Dec. 21, 2008. I think the 2nd Rapture will rescue the Tribulation saints on the Feast of Trumpets, Sept. 14, 2015. The shortened Tribulation, figured by Inclusive Reckoning because it is a block of time, begins on Pentecost, May 29, 2009. It ends on Trumpets, Sept. 14, 2015.
