Incoming Email JERUSALEM (AP) -- Forest fires raged for a fourth straight day in northern and central Israel Tuesday, temporarily closing a major highway and forcing thousands of people from their homes.
Note: I visited the site. Then my computer froze, and I had to restart. I read that there are about 150 fires, some near Jerusalem. Some are probably set by a couple of suspected arsonists, others by careless people there to celebrate Succot. Let's pray for rain in Israel to put out the fires.
Incoming Email OT Chronology: Excellent work!
The work you have done is excellent for the OT Chronology. It is very useful.
I have not had the time to check out the entire website, but I would like to ask if you do feel the same about 1998, being that Rosh Hashana has come and gone. There is still a few days left in 1998. Have you made any recent updates to view or can you briefly comment?
Thank you. Your friend in Jesus
My reply I do not expect the Rapture until next Pentecost. It will be the last one before the Y2K bug catapults the world into the Tribulation. If I can ever get time, I will add a file with the particulars. In the meantime, you can find discussions on this on Pro and Con 184 - 188.
Sorry about the delay, but our calendar this week looks like this: Mon., get Ed's prescriptions refilled; Tue., see Ed's cardiologist--electrocardiogram, X-ray; Wed. get our flu shots, take medicine to his mother (90 miles); Thurs., see Ed's neurologist (because he can't pull his big toe up on the foot where they removed the vein from that leg to do the 5 bypasses); Fri., Ed's echocardiogram (because his heart is enlarged on the X-ray).
Song of Solomon 2:10-14 seems to give time clues for the Rapture of the Bride of Christ. It says, My beloved (Christ, Son of David) spake, and said unto me, RISE UP, MY LOVE, MY FAIR ONE, AND COME AWAY. For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing...is come, and the voice of the turtle (lit., turtledove) is heard in our land; The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. ARISE, my love, my fair one, and COME AWAY. O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock (Christ), in the secret...of the stairs."
I left out "of birds" and "places" since they are not in the original and tend to obscure the meaning. The singing of the new song is right after the Rapture (Rev. 5:9). This is the secret of the stairs, reminding us of Jacob's ladder. The bottom was on Earth, the top in Heaven. Angels went up and down on it.
The former rain in Israel starts Tishri 1 (Unger's Bible Dictionary, p.165). The latter rain starts on Nisan 1 (Unger, p. 163). Winter is the rainy season. Therefore, the rainy season starts Tishri 1 and ends Nisan 30. Since the "winter is past, the rain is over and gone," the three feasts of Tishri and the three feasts of Nisan are eliminated. Only Pentecost is left for the Rapture. The Church was born on Earth on Pentecost in 30 AD. Maybe the Church will be born into a new world (Heaven) on Pentecost too.
In Israel, flowers begin to bloom even before spring, but by April, Mt. Carmel is a riot of blossoms. In April, there are so many turtledoves that it seems that they are cooing from every tree and bush. Grapes begin to ripen in Sivan, the month of Pentecost.
I think I missed the Rapture by one year, as did Jack Langford. I found where he made his mistake. He said that the first year of the 50 was from 1948 to 1949. Then he said the 50th year ended on Pentecost, May 31, 1998. In reality, it would start in May 1998 and end May, 1999. I think I made the same kind of mistake. Pastor Riley did too when figuring the Jubilee year. He stopped on May 14, 1998, forgetting that it is a year, not a day. I am now hoping for Sunday, May 23, 1999.
Incoming Email I believe the Rapture has to happen first to give Israel recognition in the world. They are not going to be able on their own power to waltz right in their and build their Temple. Some great event has to take place to silence all the hate. I think it will take days even weeks before someone actually nails it down that it was the true Christians that disappeared. And I also think that the world is going to suddenly get real religious and a lot of the world will side with Israel at first. And with all the instruments needed to start the sacrifices and the red heifer ready. It looks to me that Father has them already to begin. As far as my understanding of the feasts. It is as I said before Trumpets is our rapture time. But according to my understanding the feasts of trumpets is actually two days long and is known as one long day. When John in the Book of Revelation mentions he was in the Spirit on the Lords Day. Could he have been referring to a High Holy Day? Again I don't know. There are ten days between the feasts of trumpets and the day of Atonement. In which I believe to be all high Holy Days. The first two days is the feast of trumpets known as one long day and the seven days of awe is the tribulation that we all know will be cut short by His coming. As far as the fulfillment of the rest of the feasts Jesus will already be here on earth to fulfill them....
My reply Since we are the temple of the Holy Spirit, it seems likely that we will be caught up before the temple is built in Jerusalem. They must strike some kind of compromise to be able to build it, because in Rev. 11:2, the court without the temple is given unto the Gentiles during the first half of the Tribulation.
> It is as I said before Trumpets is our rapture time.
Song of Solomon 2:11 says that winter is past and the rain is over and gone. From the time of the former rain (which starts Tishri 1) to the end of the month of the latter rain (Nisan) is the rainy season. To me this eliminates the three feasts of Tishri (including Trumpets) and the three feasts of Nisan. Only Pentecost in Sivan makes sense in my head.
> When John in the Book of Revelation mentions he was in the Spirit on the Lords
> Day. Could he have been referring to a High Holy Day?
Not that I know of. On pages 20-22, in "Lectures on the Book of Revelation, Dr. H.A.Ironside said, "He (John) tells us he was 'in the Spirit on the Lord's Day.' The Lord's Day is a divinely given designation for the first day of the week....I know there are some prophetic students who confuse the Lord's Day with the 'great day of the Lord,' but there is a decided difference in the two terms. The Lord's Day is not in the possessive case in the original. The word translated 'Lord's' is an adjective. If it were permissible to say the Lordian day, you would have the exact meaning of this word. Such an adjective has been formed from the word Christ. We say a 'Christian spirit,' etc. So the Lordian or Lordly Day is the day on which the Lord Jesus Christ broke the bonds of death asunder and rose, never more to die; and we Christians love to keep this day in memory of Him."
> There are ten days between the feasts of trumpets and the day of Atonement. In
> which I believe to be all high Holy Days. The first two days is the feast of
> trumpets known as one long day and the seven days of awe is the tribulation
> that we all know will be cut short by His coming.
Let's see. There are Ten days of Repentance. If we play with the numbers and subtract seven for the Tribulation. Could the remaining three stand for the years between the Rapture and the Tribulation? If so, it would match the ten days of Rev. 2:10. Here's the list of ten years: 5759, 5760, 5761, 5762, 5763, 5764, 5765, 5766, 5767, 5768. Back up seven and we have 5759, 5760, 5761, when I think the Tribulation will begin. Not too bad.
Next, find proof that the ten days are divided into 7 and 3. Tishri 1 and 2 are now kept as the Feast of Trumpets, and Tishri 3 is the Fast of Gedaliah. That fits, but only Tishri 1 was set up in the beginning. The Jews now keep three special days during the ten day period, the Fast of Gedaliah, Shabbat Shuvah on the Sabbath that falls in this period, and Erev Yom Kippur. Those were not set up in the beginning either.
One more thing. Even if Rapture I was on Trumpets, I can't see Rapture II on the Day of Atonement. It seems to have to be on Trumpets. Maybe just the fact that there are ten days of repentance is the only part of it that ties in. Food for thought.
> As far as the fulfillment of the rest of the feasts Jesus will already
> be here on earth to fulfill them.
I think he returns as the latter rain on Nisan 1 (Ezek. 29:17,21; Hos, 6:1-3), seven months (Ezek. 39:12) after the Feast of Trumpets, when the seven trumpet judgments hit Earth. The Jewish year 5768 is a leap year. Therefore, there are the necessary seven months between Tishri 1 and Nisan 1, the beginning of the Regnal Year and Sacred Year....
Incoming Email Again, thank you for your monumental effort at keeping up your web site, and for your continuing efforts to discern the many levels of meaning of the words which our Holy God speaks to us in the Scriptures. I check your site every day--sometimes twice or three times--to see whether you've added new information. It touches my heart to read of so many good people who are anxious to greet our precious Jesus and to hear His voice. I look forward to our meeting (and to meeting all of the Faithful). It will be the culmination of all my hopes and desires when we are finally and fully His--without the possibility of ever falling from Him or losing Him from that moment unto "the ages of ages."
Thank you for answering my e-mail. I have two sites which I would like to pass on to you. The first, http://messianic.com/articles/heb-cal.htm, offers a very clear calendar of the Jewish feast days. The second, http://www.smart.net/~mmontes/ec-cal.html, gives one a tool for finding any Christian feast (Western--Gregorian--and Eastern--both Julian and Gregorian) for any year in question. The interesting thing to note, is that the first calendar states that Jewish Pentecost will fall on May 23, 1999; the second calendar states that the Western-Christian Pentecost will fall on May 23, 1999. (Orthodox-Christian Pentecost will be on May 30th.)
I continue to hold you and your husband and son in my prayers, as well as all those anonymous men and women who access your site. Would you profoundly pray for me and my family, that we will be able to please our Lord, and to be found worthy to hear His voice on that precious Day.... I remain, your friend in Christ Jesus
My reply Thanks for all your kind words.
> The interesting thing to note, is that the first
> calendar states that Jewish Pentecost will fall on May 23, 1999
Yes. I am so glad to have confirmation that I figured it correctly. Thanks. At the first site, I saw Sivan 6 (May 21, 1999) listed as "P'rushim dated). Sivan 8 (May 23, 1999) was listed as (Tzaddikim). I hope someone can fill me in on what those things mean.
I couldn't find that same date on the second site. That's not to say that it isn't there. I just didn't find it. The above is what I needed anyway.
Thanks for your prayers, and I prayed for you too.
Incoming Email With the passing of Pentecost, Rosh Hashanah, and Yom Kippur in the year 1998, What do you believe is the next best logical occurrence for the Rapture according to your calculations? Are their any other prophetic events that need to occur before the rapture can occur? Thanks.
My reply I think we will probably have to wait till next Pentecost. Song of Solomon 2:11 says that the winter is past and the rain over and gone. The rainy season starts Tishri 1 and ends Nisan 30. If it applies to the Rapture, this eliminates all feasts except Pentecost. Three are in Tishri and three are in Nisan. Next year, the Sunday following Sivan 6 is May 23, a likely time. Here's hoping. I'm watching, waiting, and doing my best to redeem the time. For more details, see Pro and Cons starting with #184.
No other prophetic events need to occur before the rapture can take place.
Incoming Email I have been reading your site off an on for a long time. I have also been reading the 5 doves site off and on for a long time....
A few months back I posted to the 5 doves site about the number 444. I have been seeing this number pop up all over the place. ON random occasions I'll check the time and it'll be 4:44pm. I'll be watching TV and they'll give an 800 number with 444 in it.
My best friends car tag ends in 444. I booted my computer up recently and it froze during boot and I noticed the click on the taskbar was stuck at 4:44pm.
I recently installed Real Audio Player G2 and its opening sequence played at 44.4kpbs. I was checking some files in some of my directories and they were 44.4 megs total.
I can't remember all the occurences, but this number is showing up constantly and not just for me. Several readers of the 5 doves site have had the same occurences and we have been in a search for the meaning of 444. I was hoping you or some of your readers could help us out...
I also went to upgrade my netscape explorer and the update file was 4.44 megs. My cousin called and wanted me to help a friend of hers that had a computer problem. Her friends telephone number was 38X-X444 (Xs included for her safety!)
So, if anyone knows anything that would be of help, let me know. If you have had 444 experiences, please email them to me at firstname.lastname@example.org....
Maybe its another attempt to tell us get ready I'm coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My reply I might be able to help.
Uri Marcus, a Messianic Jew now living in Jerusalem, said, "The number four in Scripture is always the number of Messiah."
I had heard that four was the number of the Earth, so I grabbed Strong's Concordance. In Exodus 28:18, sure enough, the emerald, which stood for Judah, the tribe of Jesus, was listed fourth. That tallies with what Uri said. I'll go along with that. It is interesting that the whole second row of stones is emerald (stands for Judah), sapphire (means dear to the planet Saturn) and diamond (symbol for Earth in Ezek. 28:13). I think Jesus has his throne on Saturn and will sit on David's throne on Earth. The Lord doesn't miss a trick does he. He hides clues everywhere.
Incoming Email Not Long Now!! Praise God and God Bless You!!
I thought this piece from Jim Bramlett at 5 Doves would bless you!! In His Love
This recent story is worth repeating, even though you may already have read it. I was joyfully reminded of it this morning.
DYING 90-YEAR-OLD WOMAN "WILL NOT SEE THE GRAVE"
The following story was told by Dennis Tallakson on September 25, 1998 and posted on the Five Doves Web site:
"I want to relate a personal experience that for me shows how close the rapture may be. I have an aunt, her name is Agnes, who was a missionary in Liberia, Africa. After she retired, I think maybe 25 years ago, she was attending a church service in her home church. The man speaking that night was a guest evangelist. Sometime during the service he had a word from the Lord. He pointed right at my aunt and said, 'you, the woman wearing the red sweater, the Lord is saying that your body will not see the grave, you will be taken up in the air alive when the Lord returns.' I have thought about this story many times thru the years. Today I was talking to my brother and he said that my mother had just talked (with and) found out that her sister, Agnes, has just been diagnosed with stomach cancer and has only 6 months to live. She turned 90 years old recently. To me personally, this is a wakeup call that the Lord is coming really soon."
(Note: Several decades ago, Dr. Richard Eby was told the same thing by the Lord in a near-death experience, and he is now in his late 80s. In 1992, during a life-or-death health crisis, friend Tony MacCormack in England was also told by the Lord, "You will not see the grave." His health then began to dramatically improve and the Lord began to impress upon him the extreme nearness of His return.)
My reply Thanks for sharing this with me. I know of a couple of people that have heard the Lord speak to them in somewhat similar vein. One was a girl who came to my house to study with me in 1969. We have kept in touch. She heard, "You will never die." The other lady is one I correspond with. She heard words I can't remember exactly at the moment, but it was something like "I'm coming in your lifetime." I have her letter in my files. Neither is the kind of person that would dare make up something like this. Strange things do happen.
Incoming Email I read the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel article about the Y2K power failures that was posted on your website P/C 193. I did multiple searches of the Journal-Sentinel's website and there is no such article there. I don't know if this posting is a hoax or if it is true. Marilyn, I know that it would be impossible for you to verify all information before you post it. If it is not true, I request that those who follow this web site would not send in information that cannot be verified. Since the names and towns listed are in my area, this is of concern to me. I know God is in control, but these are the end times and we are to be ready. Spiritually, I'm trying to stay ready. Physically, its very expensive to be ready particularly if I have to buy a generator. This is a very serious subject; if my home loses power in mid-winter, it means our lives are at risk. I certainly hope the rapture takes place soon.
Thanks for your web site and God bless you!
My reply Thanks. I don't know if everything printed in the paper would be on the Web site or not. I'll post this so people can search the files at the Library to be sure. As far as the Y2K problem, that can hit in any area anyway.
I sure hope to be outta here before that strikes. If we didn't get our Social Security checks, we would be in starvation mode. If the Lord tarried, I could imagine lots of people over 65 starving to death and cheated out of the Rapture experience. That doesn't sound like the way it will happen. What kind of a "blessed hope" would that be? The wicked one can't be revealed until we are gone. I expect to be caught up before the Y2K bug causes chaos that propels the world into the Tribulation. Even if the government gets their programs fixed and sends out checks, where could they be cashed if the banks were down? How could the banks not be down if the utilities were down? It is a domino effect. People would be so desperate (having lost hope), they would be glad to put anyone in office that seemed to have answers to getting everything up and running again. Satan will have his day, but "the hope of him is in vain" (Job 41:9). He will lose in the end.
Next Pentecost will be the last Pentecost before Y2K troubles begin. Hope to see you in glory then.
Incoming Email FWD: Seek GOD First Ministries, http://www.seekGODfirst.org/ 5. ARK OF THE COVENANT BURIED IN WEST BANK? A californian-based biblical scholar belives he has located the buriel site of the Ark of the covenant the quest for the lost Ark of the Covenant which suggests its secret burial site could be at a terrorist stronghold on the West Bank.
Michael Sanders, a British-born publisher of classical university texts, believes the sacred golden Ark was buried after a raid on Solomon's Temple in the 10th century BC by one of the Egyptian kings. By studying new satellite images, together with documents in the British Museum and other accounts, he claims to have identified its final resting place in the Judaean hills.
The location has, however, been renowned for years as a training ground for Hamas terrorists. "It is in very dangerous territory, but it must be worth the risk," said Sanders, who has spent more than 25 years researching biblical history and is now planning an expedition to the site. "We believe we may have found the configuration of an Egyptian temple and it is under there that we will dig for the Ark. There will be archeologists with us, but the search for the Ark is bound to be more of a treasure hunt than a classical archeological dig."
The whereabouts of the Ark is one of the world's most enduring and fascinating mysteries. According to the Old Testament, the Ark was built at the foot of Mount Sinai around 1250BC at the command of Moses to hold the two stone tablets inscribed with the Ten Commandments.
For 200 years it was used, according to biblical records, to bring victory on the battlefield against the enemies of Israel, but it disappeared between the 10th and 6th centuries BC after being placed in Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem.
The Old Testament does not record the circumstances of the Ark's removal, but in modern times adventurers and archeologists have criss-crossed the world in the hunt for the sacred relic, even though its existence has never been conclusively proved. One legend suggested the Ark was taken to Ethiopia by the Queen of Sheba, while others believe it is hidden in caves in Qumran overlooking the Dead Sea. In the film Raiders of the Lost Ark,Indiana Jones fights the Nazis for the long-lost treasure.
Sanders contends that the Ark was looted by Shishak, the King of Egypt, when Solomon's Temple was plundered in about 925BC in the first of a series of raids on Jerusalem. He claims a document in the British Museum identifies the Egyptian temple where the Ark may have been buried in a post-battle ritual.
"I don't think the Ark is a fantasy and it is a very reasonable suggestion that it was taken by Shishak because that was the first time it could have been removed," said Jonathan Tubb, an expert in Syrian and Palestinian archeology at the British Museum. "If an Egyptian temple can be identified, it would be a great place to dig. It could solve all sorts of mysteries."
Sanders, 58, who was born in Leeds but is now based in Irvine, California, says the Harris Papyrus in the British Museum identifies the Judaean hills as the site of an Egyptian temple to which looted treasures were taken by the Egyptians.
He believes the tablets of stone could be discovered there because pharaohs often buried plundered artefacts beneath their temples.
"This temple is referred to in the papyrus as a 'mysterious house in the land of Zahi' which was dedicated to the god Amun Ra," said Sanders. "In 1830, the American explorer Dr Edward Robinson walked the route taken by the invading Egyptians in Palestine and found old ruins at a village called Dhahiriya. The village is still there and is the most likely resting place of the tablets of stone. If the Egyptians had just seized the most sacred religious codes from the people they had invaded, they would have laid them in the foundations of their new temple."
Sanders has studied satellite images of the area and identified a ruin to the south of the settlement which he thinks may be the remains of the temple. He has, however, not yet received permission to start an excavation. "This has long been a Hamas training centre and a local sheikh controls the area," said Sanders. (Times)
Note: I keep different versions of the Bible where I can grab them at odd moments. I just ran across this in an apocryphal book in the Confraternity Version. Second Machabees, 2:4-8 says, "It was also contained in the same writing, how the prophet, being warned by God, commanded that the tabernacle and the ark should accompany him, till he came forth to the mountain where Moses went up, and saw the inheritance of God. And when Jeremias came thither he found a hollow cave, and he carried in thither the tabernacle, and the ark, and the altar of incense, and so stopped the door. Then some of them that followed him, came up to mark the place, but they could not find it. And when Jeremais perceived it, he blamed them, saying: The place shall be unknown, till God gather together the congregation of the people, and receive them to mercy. And then the Lord will show these things, and the majesty of the Lord shall appear, and there shall be a cloud as it was also showed to Moses."
Incoming Email Re: I am so excited
You know, I have been going through a rather rough patch. So it is with great joy that I report to you that your book, although I am somewhat sceptical and must analyze and reanalyze it's message, has brought me some solace. I have given it serious thought and find it at least plausible. Nevertheless, my point is that I see that God is there. He is never exhausted with providing me with evidences and things to keep my hyperactive mind on Him and the glories that He reveals.
And tonight I was struck by the desire to see if there were any sites containing information about the asteroid belt and the planet Saturn. Specifically, I am looking for "unChristian" sources of examination of the solar system as well as "Christian" ones. So far, there isn't a ton of information.
Anyway, I pray that the Lord will continue to be the guiding light in your life. I shall be so glad if anyone has gotten saved due to reading some work that the Lord gave you to print.
Jesus is Lord. Your brother in Christ
My reply Here are sites for information about Saturn and asteroids that I have visited:
> I shall be so glad if anyone has gotten saved due to
> reading some work that the Lord gave you to print.
They have, praise the Lord. He deserves the credit, not me. He knows what is in people's heads and helps others give them what they need at a specific time in their lives.
You bet, Jesus is Lord.
Incoming Email I recently heard that the book of Psalm's chapters are a representation of the 20th century's most historic events. For example: Psalm 44 correlates to 1944, Psalm 45 to 1945 etc. This was broadcast on the television show 'Ancient Mysteries'. Certain so called 'Bible Experts' showed that Psalm 44 depicts the plight of the Jews under the Nazis...'You gave us up to be devoured like sheep' 'our adversaries have plundered us' 'You have made us a reproach to our neighbors' 'yet for your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered. Psalm 93 deals with flooding and water. 1993 was the worst year for flooding in recorded history. Floods occurred where they should not and where rain was expected it was in some cases doubled or tripled worldwide...'The seas have lifted up O Lord the seas have lifted up their voice, the seas have lifted up their pounding waves. Do you personally put any stock into this theory?
Anyway I grabbed my Bible and read the 98th Psalm to see what they possibly say for 1998. A couple of verses caught my attention. Verse 2 'The Lord has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations'. Could this possibly be done through the rapture. Verse 4 goes on to say 'with TRUMPETs and the blast of the ram's horn SHOUT for joy before the Lord, the King' Do you think this could do with the Lord shouting for his bride and the blast of the trumpets that you have spoke of. Also I have heard there will be a great war and earthquakes in the 7th month of 1999 which Nostradomas spoke of. Verse 99 starts off resembling his visions.
May the Lord bless you and yours. In his everlasting Name.
My reply > Do you personally put any stock into this theory?
No. I have the book about the secrets in the Psalms, and still can't get behind this scheme. What stopped me right away was "O SING unto the LORD a new song" (which is sung after the Rapture in Rev. 5:9) being in both 96 and 98. Psa. 99 starts out "THE LORD reigneth...let the earth be moved." I think Coronation Day will be Tishri 1, 5768 (our Sept. 13, 2007), not in 1999.
"Thou ...renewest the face of the earth" is in 104. I think that comes in 2008. Psa. 110 says, "The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath." I think the Day of God's Wrath is Sept. 13, 2007, not 2110. That would be over 100 years later. Psa. 149:1,5 says, "PRAISE ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints....Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds." That fits the Rapture, which I think is Pentecost, 1999, not 2149.
I don't put any stock in Nostradomas either. I stick to the Bible. It is the only thing we can be certain is right.
