Just wanted to drop you a line to tell you I have been thinking about you and your family. I pray for you and for your family, especially, Ed and his mother. I thank God for someone like you who is tried through the fires of trials and tribulations and still is faithful in spreading God's Word to others with unconditional love. My hope is that we as Christians not attack each other because we think we are right, (like some who have attacked you). Are WE not the body of Christ? As a body do we not have different functions? Just like our physical bodies, the hand does one thing the eye another, the foot, etc.etc. If the hand starts gougingout the eye, and other parts start taking over, does it not destroy the body? Do we, as Christians, not start destroying one another because we think that we have the all the answers, when in fact we may only have part of an answer, and someone else have the other part. Please, let us discuss things in agape love with one another. We are ientitled to our opinions, but we should never try to SHOVE THEM onto someone. Go and try all things according to the Holy Scriptures, The Bible, see if it agrees with what is being discussed if it aligns with the word, then pray for God's wisdom to discern for yourselves the truth. The truth will set you free. Love one another as I have loved you Jesus said. Remember, some are (baby) Christians, just starting and learning, and others have been in the word for numerous of years, with wisdom and understanding far surpassed those just beginning. Let us be patient, kind and loving towards one another. Let us truly represent the Body of Christ, then and only then, we will know that we have passed from darkness to light, when we love our Brethren in Christ. Let us BE READY WITHOUT SPOT OR WRINKLE TO MEET THE LORD JESUS FOR HE WILL SOON RETURN FOR HIS BRIDE. LET US PRAY TO BE ACCOUNTED WORTHY TO ESCAPE ALL THAT IS COMING UPON THIS EARTH. IN THE END THERE ARE THREE THINGS, FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE. THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE, FOR GOD IS LOVE. Marilyn you need not reply, I know you have many e-mails to answer. Just wanted to say keep up the good work, and one day soon, you will hear the voice of our Saviour say to you "WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT". IN THE LOVE OF CHRIST! MARANATHA!

A news item today makes one of the clearest connections between Bible prophecy and current events that I have ever seen.

"And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people" (Zechariah 12:3)

Arafat: Jerusalem Is Top Priority, By BARRY SCHWEID AP Diplomatic Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Declaring Jerusalem his top priority in peace talks with Israel, Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat has reignited a hot dispute with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by publicly laying claim to the "occupied" eastern part of the city...

(Remainder of story at

The controversy over Jerusalem will eventually inflame the world. Naturally, Satan would center his attack around "the city of the great King." It is the city where the Savior walked, and shed His own blood.

Re: You missed something very important !!!
Serug beget nahor at 30 making birth year 1849 from Adam. Terah was born at 29=1849 plus 29 equals 1878. Abraham born to Terah at 70. 1878 plus 70 equals 1948 from Adam. Yous see Abraham was born in year 1948-Is it a coincidence that Israel was reborn in 1948 on our calendar. Please check it out. Have more to share if interested. I have the missing pieces.

My reply

> You missed something very important !!!

I don't think so. Anstey, Panin and Ussher all agree on 2008 AH for the birth of Abram.

We both agree that Terah was born in 1878 AH. We differ on the age of Terah when Abram was born. Abram was born in 2008 AH, when Terah was 130, not 70. You might want to look at Gen. 11:26-32; Gen 12:4; Acts 7:4.

Terah was born in 1878 AH and lived 205 years (Gen. 11:32). so Terah lived till 2083 AD. At that time, Abram left Haran when he was 75 years old (Gen. 12:4). Subtract 75 from 2083 AH and you find that Abram was born in 2008 AH. Subtract Abram's 75 years from 205 and you find that Terah was 130 when Abram was born. I'll put it in tabular form. It might be easier to see.

1878 AH, Terah born. He lived 205 years (Gen. 11:32) and died in 2083 AH (1878 AH + 205 = 2083 AH)

2008 AH, Abram born when Terah was 130. Terah died at 205 (Gen. 11:32) when Abram was 75 (Gen. 12:4) (1878 AH + 205 = 2083 AH - 75 = 2008 AH) (205 - 75 = 130 years old)

2083 AH, Death of Terah at 205 (Gen. 11:32). Call of Abram, who left Haran when 75 (Gen. 12:4) (2083 AH - 75 = 2008 AH, Abram's birth).

As the days of Noah..........after 40 days of rain ......the ark was lifted high above the earth. 40 days after God shut the door of the ark was Kislev 24 , Jewish perpetual calendar. 40 days after the 2nd month, seventeenth day, in l998, is also Kislev 24, which is December l3, which is the day before Hannakkah, which celebrates the rededication of the temple! Presently, the church is the temple.

See Haggai 2:l8-22! KISLEV 24!

My reply

I really wish the Rapture would be on my 70th birthday, Dec. 13, 1998, but there are things here that I do not understand. I could not get through on that URL to find out more there. What is the Jewish perpetual calendar?

I counted 40 days, by inclusive reckoning, from Cheshvan 17, 5759 on the Jewish Talmudic Calendar and arrived at 26 Kislev for the 40th day. That is Dec. 15, the second day of Hanukkah, not Dec. 13.

I also counted 150 days (the waters prevailed 150 days, Gen. 7:24) from 17 Cheshvan. It ended on Sunday, Nisan 18 (our Apr. 4, 1999), the very day the Biblical counting of the omer to Pentecost begins.

Gen. 8:4 says, "the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month (Nisan 17), upon the mountains of Ararat." Scofield says of Ararat, "Lit. holy ground, answering to the "heavenly" of Eph. 2.4-6 for the Church." The ending date of the 150 days will vary in different types of Jewish years.

It's interesting, but inconclusive.

this is still 5758 on the perpetual calendar, as in the days of Noah. when would Noah have gathered all the food for the animals and people in the harvest time in the fall. 40 days after the rain started, the same day that the door was shut, was the day that the ark was "lifted high above the earth". This is still the Pentecost Jubilee year, still 5758, the time of Noah. It is harvest time. The day before Hanukkah is Kislev 24, the day before the rededi- cation of the temple......perfect timing .... and may even be spelled out in Haggai 2 : l8-22. Please read and consider. The Web site, The Rapture, Gog, and Hanukkah: The Puzzle is starting to fit.( I think that is the title.....http://www. prairienet/org/gog/dlgs/html) has much more on this date in Jewish history. I came up with it just working on the days of Noah, then found this site "accidently". Nothing God does is accidental. Please search this out. You have said that you felt like there is more in "the days of Noah". Could this be IT?!!!! Please post a reply as soon as possible. thank you, thank you. I'm excited again! I try to live that way, but this is great!

My reply

I need more information. What is the perpetual calendar? How can it still be 5758? The Jewish year 5759 started last Sept. 21.
I agree that Noah would have gathered the food in the fall. The day he went into the Ark and it began to rain was 17 Cheshvan (Gen. 7:11). Forty days, by inclusive reckoning, end on Kislev 26 (our Dec. 15, 1998), not Kislev 24.

I can't get through on that URL.

Re: The RAPTURE that Never Was
Thank you for the reply. You seem like a nice lady and are obviously very sincere in your beliefs.

My question is, What happens next year when the date comes and goes - again!?! Do you then question why you believe? What would it take to make that happen?

A Skeptic

My reply

No, I do not question why I believe. Nothing can make that happen. I just keep my rock-hard faith and wait patiently until the Rapture happens, whenever it is. Nothing, being killed, starving to death, having things taken away from me, nothing can break my faith. I know who Jesus Christ really is. II Cor. 5:19 says it in a nutshell. "God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself." John 1:14 says, "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us." Jesus said, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning (YHVH the King of Israel) and the end (YHVH of hosts, Isa. 44:6), the first (Lord of the Old Testament) and the last (Lord of the New Testament)" (Rev. 22:13).

Isa. 44:6 says, "Thus saith the LORD (YHVH) the King of Israel, AND his REDEEMER the LORD (YHVH) of hosts; I am the first, AND I am the last; and beside me there is no God." He is the one that has dealt with man all along.

Isa. 45:21,22 says, "who hath told it from that time: have not I the LORD (YHVH)? and there is no God else beside me; a just God AND A SAVIOUR; there is none beside me. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else."

Isa. 48:12-17 says, "Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I ALSO am the last. Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together....Come ye near unto me, hear ye this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me (Jesus Christ). Thus saith the LORD (YHVH), thy REDEEMER, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD (YHVH) thy god which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go."

Realizing who Jesus Christ really is was the catalyst that cemented my faith so hard that it can't be broken, no matter what. We are dealing with the Creator here, the omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient one whose essence is not only perfect love, but also perfect justice. He is mine and I am his--forever. That can't change.

I am so grateful for your wisdom of The Holy Spirit in helping us to understand God's Word. I too believe The Bible to be complete; infallible; and wholly God-breathed. It is so wonderful to see that though this world is in chaos, when we look at all of the predictions of The Bible -- in all their complexities -- that God is obviously still in charge. Nothing has caught God by surprise: He still is God Almighty and always will be.

You gave me a new hope in your prediction of the rapture, and you supported your claim with undeniable proof. I tell you: I thank our Wonderful Lord Jesus Christ for using you to warn us. O God is so Good. There is no doubt in my mind that God is using you in a very special way. No one with your Love and complete dedication to His Word could possibly not be born again, and embued with Wisdom by The Holy One in a powerful way.

Thank you. Very Proud Servant of Jesus Christ

My reply

What can I say, but thank you. I asked the Lord what he wanted me to do. I soon knew that I was to keep on studying and writing. However, in my wildest dreams, I could never have guessed what I would be doing now, but you are right, "Nothing has caught God by surprise." He knew before the world began. It boggles the mind to think of all the things he planned before Adam was created.

I am a little late but I wanted to reply to the first incoming Email on Pro and Con 220 also. Whoever wrote the message did an excellent job in expressing some very valid opinions. I want to echo that person's words that your site definately constitutes one of the best (if not the best) and most in-depth Bible studies one could find anywhere. Any of us that do not have access to a Bible Study Group or the time to attend a group are very thankful to the Lord for your site on the web. It is a gold mind of knowledge that is easily accessable and presented in such a way that you do not have to be a Bible genius to be enriched spiritually by the topics presented.

I also want to echo the person's words that "as an added special blessing, your pages always display your own graciousness, gentleness and Christ-like humility." This attitude of yours is always very clear and very evident. It comes through so strongly that it can't help but touch many of us is a positive way. What a joy for us in such a negetive world! What an excellent service you are doing for so many people all over the world.

I want to be one of the readers to join in and saying how much you are appreciated and "GOD BLESS YOU, MARILYN"

My reply

Thank you so much. I try hard in spite of many obstacles the enemy is allowed to throw my way. It doesn't make it easy to get through, but my faith is so strong, nothing can faze that, no matter what happens. The enemy is butting his head against a brick wall there. He is just wasting his time.

God bless you too.

My reply

The "second time" in Isa. 11:11 is not referring to either Rapture. It is the literal gathering of the Israelite remnant on Earth after Christ returns and sets up his kingdom. He gathered them in 1948 and I think he will gather them in the Jewish 5768 (our 2007/2008). This is 90 years after Jerusalem was liberated in 1917 (5678, our 1917/1918). This began the modern exodus.

I think the Jewish year 5768 will fulfil the seventy sevens of Dan. 9:24-27. This is why Sarah, who represented the free Jerusalem (Gal. 4:22-26) had to wait until she was 90 years old to give birth to Isaac, the son of promise (Gen. 17:17). I think there will be 90 years between the liberation of Jerusalem in the Jewish 5678 (1917) and the return of Christ as promised in 5768 (2008). "This is the word of promise, the Lord said, AT THIS TIME WILL I COME, and Sarah shall have a son" (Rom. 9:9).

Isaac and Sarah are important prophetically. I think Jesus was born on Isaac's birthday, Tishri 1, and will return when free Jerusalem will be 90, Sarah's age when Isaac was born (5678 + 90 = 5768).

Back to your questions. One easy way to see that Isa. 11:10-16 is after the Second Advent is in Isa. 11:6-9: "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them....They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea."

The Rapture was not clearly taught until I Thess. 4:13-18. However, after you read that, you can find references to it in the Old Testament. This passage in Isaiah is not one of them though.

Thanks again for your website. I check it almost everyday because a lot of what you write makes sense to my heart. I prayed for Ed this morning because prayer is the most powerful thing we believers in Jesus have. I didn't always realize that in my life because other times it seemed my prayers weren't being answered. I would turn inward and ask myself, "What am I doing wrong?" Turns out I was doing nothing wrong! Our Father hears our prayers. Everyone of them. A lot of times I would pray to the Lord with my own solution already on my lips. ("Lord if you would do this, then I could accomplish that!") Then I realized my own kids were coming to me (their father) and asking (praying) for this or that so they could accomplish this or that. And of course as an adult, I would see things different in ways they didn't or couldn't understand. In general, if it was harmful to body or soul, how could I say yes? In other words...I was taking care of them. I realized the Lord showed me ( through my children) that the reason he doesn't answer according to my will is because I am like a child to him! There are lots of things I don't understand in this world or Heaven. But that's OK! The one thing I can do is have faith and realize He is taking care of me. He knows what our problems will be before we even know we're about to have a problem! He knew about Ed's condition long before it became a problem. We come to Him knowing He is hearing us.

I personally believe it was an attack on your family by the enemy (and of course allowed by God). The conversation Between God and Satan probably went like this: (Similar to Job) "Have you considered My servant Marilyn? She has studied the scriptures all her life and has brought many to realize the truth about My Son Jesus. All this without ever seeing My face!" (Satan) "If her date in May 98 is wrong, she will get very discouraged. If her husband requires her constant care, she will get tired, lose her faith and take her website down!" (God) "Go, do as you say, only don't take her computer away." Testing? You bet! We can count on it! I think the more faith we have, the harder the test. Remember Abraham? Job? The list is long. There are people on it who most of us have never heard of. Except for our Lord.

As usual, Satan lost. Your faith has probably increased and Satan just can't figure it out. Other believers are showing their faith by praying for you and Ed. Satan dug another hole.(just keeps getting deeper) So you see Marilyn, it's already a victory for you and Ed. Thank you Jesus for showing us things the darkness cannot comprehend.

I know things are tough for you Marilyn and Ed, but I believe God will answer prayers about Ed. Our enemies will be our footstool! The bottomless pit could be the center of the earth. In the center of a sphere there is no "bottom"; it's all "up"! Your brother in Christ

My reply

Thanks for all your wonderful encouragement and prayers for Ed. He is not feeling at all well today. His heart is enlarged. He has fluid in his lungs and therefore is short of breath. He was awake from 2 AM till after supper, not like him at all. He usually snoozes easily. His mother has congestive heart failure and constantly fights fluid in her lungs, so I thought, "Here we go again." Ed was accepted into Cardiac Rehab today. We go to an orientation meeting first, then he exercises three days a week. I pray that the Lasix takes the fluid out of his lungs before that begins.

> I personally believe it was an attack on your family by the enemy

That and a whole lot of other things. We are always being hit by something else. I got the final on our bankruptcy after Ed's heart attack and one day before his open-heart surgery. The judge would not let us reaffirm our debt on our car, because it was not in our best interest, we could not afford it. Our daughter helped us get a car Sunday, thank the Lord. I don't see how Ed could go to Rehab, etc. without a car.

A con artist managed to get our retirement nestegg from Ed, who had developed diabetes and because of not being well was not wary, but too trusting. The con artist then declared bankruptcy and forced us into it. A newspaper clipping about him says, "Man charged with bilking investors...was arrested on a 25-count federal indictment charging him with bilking investors out of more than $13 million....on charges of mail fraud and money laundering, Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher Painter said....Funds from investors were also used to pay purported profits from earlier investors, the prosecutor said. The federal Securities and Exchange Commission shut down...charging the business was a scheme using unregistered securities to bilk investors." A woman from the federal government called Ed and told him to not feel bad, that this man was very good at what he did, but that doesn't help much.

On top of that, the people that we sold our Spring Crest Drapery store to skipped with everything and are not paying us. What I don't understand is that they claimed to be Christians. So did the con artist. On top of everything else, he took $6600 to publish my second book. Of course, I didn't get that back either. He said he had 55,000 sold and I was to teach a class in Denver. He was slick, that one.

> "If her date in May 98 is wrong, she will get very discouraged. If
> her husband requires her constant care, she will get tired, lose her faith
> and take her website down!"

Strangely enough, I did not get discouraged. Through everything, I just plod on and trust the Lord to do things his way, and that is exactly what I want. I don't matter. He and his plan is what matters. All he told us to do in our Christian walk was to take one step at a time. That is what I do.

Tired? Yes. Hard up? Yes. Lose faith? NO WAY!!! That is just NOT POSSIBLE, no matter what happens. Take my website down? not unless I can't pay for it. When I saw that rectangle of light on Jer. 50:2's "publish, and conceal not," I told the Lord that I would continue to study and write. I am doing my best to do that. I must be doing some good, or the enemy would not try so hard to throw obstacles in my path.

> I think the more faith we have, the harder the test. Remember Abraham? Job?

You may be right. Job was being watched to see what he would do. If that is the case, I am firmly on the Lord's side, no matter what happens. Bob Thieme says that if we withstand our testing, there comes a time that cursing turns to blessing. I think he is right. It was that way with Job.

You know how a sword is heated, struck with a hammer and then plunged into cold water to make it stronger. I guess our tribulation is similar. It worketh patience, experience, and hope, "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us" (Rom. 5:3-5).

I like what Peter 1:3-9 says about "a lively hope...To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you. Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time (year?). Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations (peirasmois, trials): That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ; Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls."

> it's already a victory for you and Ed

That's true. We are both very strong in our faith. We know that the worst that can happen is that we lose these earthly bodies. Nothing can happen to destroy the real person, the soul and spirit. In Christ, we have eternal life.

> Our enemies will be our footstool! The bottomless pit could be the center
> of the earth. In the center of a sphere there is no "bottom"; it's all "up"!

I think you've got that right, and that is what the enemy has to look forward to. Whew! No wonder he fights so hard. But, "Behold, the hope of him is in vain" (Job 41:9).

Re: Nice work
Question: I'm a fairly new Christian myself - I believe He is coming back soon too - the world is showing too many signs (either that or I'm just looking for those signs to hurry His return)

Question: what do you say to your relatives that think they're "alright with God" and don't want to be "preached to"? I was the exact same way and when someone tried to preach to me, I was disgusted and stayed away from them. Well the Lord knocked me upside the head January 28, 1998 and I don't wanna fail my opportunity to witness to my family - but they're set in their ways - just like I was. What would you do? God bless you

My reply

There are many signs in the world that we are in the end times. Israel is back in the land. She has Jerusalem and the temple area. The different peace agreements between Israel and the Palestinians are easy to see leading up to the seven-year peace treaty that begins the Tribulation.

> what do you say to your relatives that think they're "alright
> with God" and don't want to be "preached to"?

That's not easy to say. People are so different. Sometimes, they even say they are Christians when they really have never asked Christ to be their Saviour. Maybe they are trusting in church membership, infant baptism, or being good, and that is not going to do it. I have learned that I can find out more about what their real needs are by a soft "Do you know Christ?" instead of, "Are you a Christian?"

Some people are believers and just need to be encouraged to get ready because we are living at the end of the age and the Rapture could be soon. Asking confidentially if they think we are living in the end of the age might start off a good conversation.

With those you suspect could be unbelievers, don't have a canned speech. Just prepare yourself to have ready the answer for why you believe. Then pray first for the Lord to prepare their hearts, then pray for guidance. The Lord will lead the conversation. Say what comes to mind. You will be surprised at what comes unexpectedly into your brain. You may learn too as it pops out of your own mouth. The Lord knows what they need to hear when we don't.

Speak to them one on one, in a quiet confidential tone. Your own testimony will probably speak to them louder than a lot of other things. Questions are easier to take on their part than pronouncements. Don't push it. When the Lord knows it will work, you will know what to say and you will just do it naturally. And, they will respond. When he knows it will not work at that time for some reason, you will feel hesitant to pursue the subject with that person at that particular time. At times like that, think about just planting seeds. Go easy, so as not to raise resistance. Better to leave more for another time. They are not listening. With those that are listening, try to get them to see that they have nothing to lose and everything to gain. The quiet "Why not give it a try? what have you got to lose?" sort of thing.

Maybe some of our friends out there will have some ideas that will help. I'll post this and we'll see.
