From another Dave to Dave C:
This is for Dave's questions:
I am responding from memory, so I might misunderstand your questions. But I get the opinion that basically you are having problems understanding the relationship between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant.

You shouldn't be discouraged, this has been debated for 2000 years. But to put it in a 'nutshell' the New Covenant is the Old Covenant written on our hearts.

You say that only the sins of the Old Covenant period are paid for, but here you fail to realize that as long as our High Priest Lives, that His One Time Sacrifice, continues to cleanse us from all sins. This is what the author of Hebrews was refering to in chapter 10 verse 2. This is not a commandment to attain to, but a condition of relationship to the High Priest. Isn't this the function of the mortal priesthood? To continue to offer the sacrifices of atonement? Well, Praise be to God that we have a High Priest that abides forever, continually interceding on our behalf, for the sins that plague us everyday.

Why does the Law still apply to the sins of my flesh? Because, if you have received the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, than you have become a Son of the Law. A servant of the Law (Which Law is God's) is bound by the Law of his Master, until the day he dies, or his Master dies. The New Covenant was instituted by the Master of the Law (Old Covenant) upon His death. This gave us Freedom from the Old Law, and in the process made those who believe, brothers of the ONE who died for us. This latter benefit is a direct result of the Ressurection of Him who died for us. Now, because of this New Covenant, we have been given the additional benefit of having the Holy Spirit (the Third Witness of both the Old and New Covenants) come and Live in our Hearts. This is the Circumcision of the Heart. And the Holy Spirit bears testimony to our Masters Law, written on our Hearts. So when we sin, we are sinning against the Law that has been written on our hearts, and as Sons, this grieves the Spirit, and eventually leads to Chastisement. As far as sin now, or being under the law now, we know that the Redemption of these mortal bodies are still in the future (though nearer now than when we first believed), so these bodies that were conceived in sin, will continue to suffer, until their Redemption or Glorification.

The Jews have a Bar Mitzpha when a child becomes a Son of the Law. This is what Paul was refering to. During the childhood years (Old Test), the Law of his Fathers Household is used to bring the child through a maturing process, until he reaches the point where he becomes a Son of the Law, and an Heir. Does the Father than immediately toss out the Law that has operated in his house previous to this? No, but now the Son of the Law has begun to fulfill the Law without thinking about it.

Some have said that the part of the Law that was done away with is the Hedge that was built around it by the Pharasees. All those added laws that were not commanded in the Scritpures. This, they say, is what was done away with. Along these same lines, if a person chooses to keep the sabath or not keep it, they have the freedom to do as they please. This is between them and their Father. Keeping the Sabbath does not, in any way I know, deny that the Lord Yeshua has come.

As far as the Church 'insisting' that we are still under the Law, I would have to know which particular Church insists this?

As far as 1John 3:9, John ALSO said, "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and forgives us or sin and cleanses us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us."

Even the verse you use is dependant upon ABIDING in Christ (3:6). This 'sinless' condition that you refer to, and try to attain, is dependant upon your abiding in the Lord. If you are seeking sinlessness through GRACE you will automatically lose. This is nothing more than the other side of the coin or seeking sinlessness through LAW. Either way you have left your first Love. Let me illustrate.

The Lord Jesus walked on water, He was Sinless. Peter a Jew was under the LAW. However, he had confessed Jesus as Lord, hence he was also under GRACE. Peter wanted to walk on water (be sinless). Jesus told him he could. Peter gets out of the boat, and walks on water (sinless) towards the Lord. As long as Peter focused on the Lord, he was sinless. But as soon as he took his eyes off of the Saviour, whether it was because the waves were too high (LAW) or because of the wind that was contrary (GRACE) he immediately, sank like a rock (sinful). Just as he was still subject to gravity, we are still subject to the sin nature, that we were conceived under. The desire to walk on water (be sinless) is a honorable goal. But as long as that is your goal, you will lose. Your goal should always be to continue to ABIDE (stay focused) in the Great High Priest who upholds us by His intercession, which itself is only possible because of His sacrifice. Both continue as long as the Priest Lives, which we know is FOREVER!

I believe that it is possible to walk on water (be sinless), but I also know that the only person who can walk on water without getting His feet wet, is the Son of God! And He is always there to catch me when I fall.

My reply

Thanks for your input. I could never have put it the way you did. I am always very happy for help. Please jump in any time. Agape.

I have been a visitor of your web site many a times. I too believed that the rapture was coming May 31, 1998! I was a little upset that our Lord did not take us home. I have two of your books which are very good!! I thank the Lord that he opens up the scriptures to you.

My question it what is your feeling on the Y2K issue. I know that is a very broad statement. I have read a bit on what Tex Marrs and Grant Jefferies believe. Do you believe that there will truly be a world wide crash? Do you believe that the Y2K could be the beginning to the cashless society? and the introduction of the antichrist? I truly believe that this could definitely be the beginning of the disasters to come. But on the other hand a know of people that have said "it is just a way for many companies to make a profit."

Could you please tell me your views on the situation? Sincerely

My reply

I am glad you enjoyed the books. I think I missed the Rapture by one year.

I think there will be Y2K problems. Even if this country was Y2K compliant, which I don't think they will be, there would still be problems if some other countries were not. Just the fear of Y2K problems can cause the stock market to crash if not cause a run on the banks.

This may catapult the world into the cashless society where they will use the Marc to buy or sell. I don't want to be here then.

I do not think small appliances will cause trouble. I doubt if dates were necessary in their imbedded chips.

Thank You for responding to my letter. I know you are busy. I am curious, do you think our air strike against Iraq has anything to do with end time events? God Bless You!

My reply

The reason that there is a need for the strike, is working toward the time when the world capital will be established at Babylon on the Euphrates. Maybe that site will initially be chosen to keep an eye on Saddam.

He equates himself with Nebuchadnezzar and had posters made for the first Babylon International Festival with his profile in front of Nebuchadnezzar's. The profiles as pictured do show a striking resemblance. Underneath the coin-shaped picture, he printed,

Hab. 1:5,6 says, "Behold ye among the heathen (Israel among the nations), and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you. For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans (of Babylonia), that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not their's."

The precursor of the final fulfilment of this seemed to be Saddam's attack on Kuwait. Verse 10 says, "And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them." We are seeing this attitude even now. However, the next verse seems to be Mid-Tribulation: "Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god. I don't think this is Saddam, but the Satan-possessed False Prophet. We are seeing shadows now of things to come.

Hab. 2:1-6 says, "the LORD...said...the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at THE END (last half of the Tribulation) it shall speak, and not lie...Yea also, because he (the False Prophet) transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home (moves his headquarters from Israel to Babylon), who enlargeth his desire as hell (Satan), and is as death (Rev. 6:8), and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him ALL NATIONS (he will be head of the world government), and heapeth unto him all people: Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him (the False Prophet) that increaseth that which is not his! how long? (until the end of the 2300-day shortened Tribulation, Dan. 8:14) and to him (Satan) that ladeth himself with thick clay!" (inhabiting the body of the False Prophet).

Verses 19 and 20 tie in with Rev. 13:15: "Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it. But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him."

This is the same silence we find in Rev. 8:1 before the seven trumpet judgments are cast on Earth. It is the silence in both Heaven and Earth while the Judge is seated at the Judgment Seat of Christ on the Feast of Trumpets that begins the millennial Day of the Lord. The silence in Heaven is respectful. On Earth, I think it is probably because of fear of the asteroid that is coming to impact Earth. This seems to be when men put their hands on themselves as if they were pregnant and about to deliver a child.

Jer. 30:6,7 says, "Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness? Alas! for that day (first day of the millennial Day of the Lord) is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it."

Hab. 3:11-13 says, "The sun and moon stood still in their habitation (Jesus' Long Day): at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear (the Sword of the Lord, probably a binary asteroid, Rev. 6:8,10). Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger. Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people" (Israel, Ezek. 38).

Jer. 30:23,24 says, "Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury (Ezek. 38:18), a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of THE WICKED ('son of perdition,' II Thess. 2:3). The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days (now) ye shall consider (biyn, understand) it."

Zeph. 1:14-16 says, "The great day of the LORD is near...the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers."

Zeph. 2:15 says, "This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand."

Rev. 18:4-8 says, "Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues....she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death...and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who JUDGETH her."

Verse 21 says, "Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her. And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all."

I love your site, and visit it every day for updates....I have a question: If, as you believe, there are two raptures, and some believers will be left behind when the first rapture occurs because of sin in their lives, what happens to those believers who've died in that same situation? Will they have to wait too?

I have learned a great deal from your site since I first discovered it, and thank you for all your labors for our Lord. I am anxiously awaiting our Lord's return for His church, and hoping you get the best gift ever on your birthday this weekend! My 48th birthday is on the 14th, so it would be a great gift for me too. In Christ

My reply

Happy belated birthday. Guess we will have to wait awhile. Maybe we can earn more rewards for how we spend the remainder of our time on Earth.

> what happens to those believers who've died in that same situation? Will they have to wait too?

They might have to wait until the "last day." I can't be sure, but since the Lord is fair, it seems logical.

I know you hold that Iraq is Babylon in Rev. 17. But have you ever considered Jerusalem? Here is some food for thought...

Here is my reasoning--The Vatican has a Holy Jubilee in Jerusalem in 2000. You have the start of the Tribulation in 2001. Strange coincidence! The Pope is old, and may be "incapacitated" soon, only to be replaced by Cardinal Lustiger.

Lustiger is a Jew (he comes out of the "earth" or Israeli descent) who is a Christian figure who will become Pope one day (two "horns" or a Popes miter, like a Lamb). He is rumored to be involved in Satanism (speaks like a "dragon" or Satan Possessed).

Bottom line: The Holy Jubilee in Jerusalem in 2000 will most likely result in a 7-year peace treaty confirmed by the Catholic Church in 2001. John Paul II will head the U.N. until he is struck too ill 3.5 years into his reign. From there, Jean-Marie Lustiger will become Pope Peter II and persecute those left behind for 42 months.

Think about it. I may be wrong, but I could be right.

My reply

I definitely don't think Babylon "in the land of the Chaldeans" is Jerusalem in the land of Israel. The Lord will rule from Jerusalem. No one will ever live in Babylon again after the first day of the Millennium. I think that is the day the asteroid (Rev. 8:10) takes out Babylon on the Euphrates River.

Concerning Babylon:
Jer. 50:13,15,25,26,28,39,40,46 says, "Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall NOT BE INHABITED, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues...for it is the vengeance of the LORD...this is the work of the Lord GOD of hosts IN THE LAND OF THE CHALDEANS...destroy her utterly: let nothing of her be left. ...The voice of them that flee and escape out of THE LAND OF Babylon, to declare in Zion (Jerusalem) the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple...and it shall be NO MORE INHABITED FOR EVER; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation. As God overthrew Sodom and shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein....At the noise of the taking of Babylon the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among the nations."

Jer. 51:11,25,26 says, "for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple....Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain. And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations, but thou shalt be DESOLATE FOR EVER, saith the LORD."

Rev. 18:21 says, "And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall BE FOUND NO MORE AT ALL."

Concerning Jerusalem:
"And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of JERUSALEM: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses. And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but JERUSALEM SHALL BE SAFELY INHABITED."

You may be right, but I don't know who will be the Tribulation Pope or the False Prophet. However, I do think a Pope will be elected head of the world government on the Feast of Trumpets in 2001. There also seem to be 10 subsidiary leaders who will be elected to serve under him (Rev. 17:12; 13:1).
The two horns of Rev. 13:11 probably represent the two comings of Satan, as Christ (the Lamb of God) has two comings. A horn represents power and a king.

I think the False Prophet will be a Jew, probably from the tribe of Dan, which is omitted in Rev. 7. Gen. 49:17 says, "Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider (the Beast) shall fall backward." This accident that incapacitates the Beast will allow the False Prophet to take over as head of the world government and world church in the middle of the Tribulation.

...Thank you for your note....I am particularly fascinated with your research on Saturn. You have unlocked one of the real mysteries of our existence.... I hope that someday I will be able to meet you in person. If there is any way that I can be of assistance to you, please do not hesitate to let me know. As many of your readers have noted, your computer is your link to the thousands of electronic readers, like me, who look forward all day, every day, to reading your responses. I can see you have a keen knowledge of the use of your Mac. I am sure you know how to upgrade your Mac in terms of RAM memory, etc., but I would be glad to think about Mac problems that you have, as well. I have had that pleasure in my office for five years, where we started with the same units that you have. The most vulnerable area of a 10-year old Mac is the potential for hard drive failure. Another is disk drive failure. All of the disk drives in our IIci's and IIsi's failed at the same time. I upgraded the hard drives to 1 gigabyte each, and we bumped up the RAM to about 32 MB. That helped a great deal. We still use them in our office along with the PowerMacs. My wife and father-in-law love their Macs, and I am constantly keeping them together....

Thank you again for your kindness, insight, and sharing. You have amazing strength. My wishes and prayers are for Ed to recover fully as quickly as possible. I told my chiropractor this morning (he is a good Christian man) that my tests in this life have become incredibly difficult and discouraging. He said that the prophets were tested just as fiercely. I note to you that every Christian person I know is going through incredible stresses of a nature that affects them at their most vulnerable areas. We must be close to the end, because the furor of Satan to make me and my friends stumble is constant. He won't win with me, either, as I will endure somehow.

I look forward to your messages through the miracle of online communication. Best Regards

My reply

> fascinated with your research on Saturn.

That is still a miracle to me. I did not set out to find out where Heaven was located, nor did I have the foggiest notion that I would write a book on it. In the past, I had experienced fleeting thoughts that certain passages suggested Saturn, but each time, I said, "Nah, that can't be" and went on to other things. Only when I was writing Revelations 2000, did I come to terms with it.

One stumbling block was Scofield's note in the margin re: "the third heaven" in II Cor. 12:2. He said, "First heaven, of clouds; second, of stars; third, God's abode." For a long time, that obscured God's truth that Heaven was our third heaven, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn.

The minute I finished my first book, I knew I wanted to write "The Master Key: Revelation's Secrets Revealed," which Avon Books changed to "Revelations 2000." When I got to the fourth chapter of the rough draft, I ran into Rev. 4:3's "there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald." When a rainbow is seen from space, it often is a complete ring. The bands of the colors of the spectrum even suggest multiple rings. There was the suggestion of rings again, and I had to explain why they were "like unto an emerald." Since the words "like" and "as" are used to show that something is symbolic, I looked up emerald in the breastplate of the High Priest. It stood for Judah, the tribe of Jesus. That sounded like Jesus' throne was surrounded by rings.

Verse 6 says, "And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal." Some versions say ice. That fits Saturn's rings too. The NEB says, "a sea of glass, like a sheet of ice."

I stopped writing, and read every word of every version of the Bible I could get my hands on. I have around 15 of my own and borrowed others from various libraries. I kept a legal pad at hand to record every verse that had any reference to where Heaven was or what the throne was like. When I was through, I knew that my first thoughts on it were right. The crowning event that stood my hair on end and caused me to purse my lips and whisper "Whew, then its true" was when I looked up the meaning of "sapphire" in Ezek. 1:26. It means "dear to the planet Saturn," from the Sanskrit "Sani" (Saturn) and "priya" (dear). Sinai sounds like Sani and Mt. Sinai represented Heaven.

Here is Ezek. 1:22,26-28 in the NEB: "Above the heads of the living creatures (cherubim, lively things, i.e., terrestrial planets) was, as it were (symbolic language), a vault glittering like a sheet of ice...Above the vault (expanse of space) over their heads (farther out in space) there appeared, as it were (symbolic language), a SAPPHIRE IN THE SHAPE OF A THRONE, and high above all, upon the throne, a form in human likeness (i.e., Christ). I saw what might have been brass (KJV, 'amber') glowing like fire in a furnace from the waist (other versions have equator) upwards; and from the waist (equator) downwards I saw what looked like fire WITH ENCIRCLING RADIANCE. LIKE A RAINBOW in the clouds on a rainy day was the sight of that encircling radiance; it was like the appearance of the glory of the LORD." The latter suggests a halo.

The sapphire ties in with Ex. 24:10 (KJV): "And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were (symbolic language) a paved work of a SAPPHIRE STONE, and as it were (symbolic language) the body of heaven (heavenly body) in his clearness."

Only after our Voyager missions found that there were seven rings did I realize that Zech 3:9 in the LXX was referring to Saturn's seven rings. It says, "as for the stone which I have set before the face of Jesus, on the one stone are seven eyes" (orbs, circles, rings). Saturn not only has seven rings, it is the seventh of the ten original planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Rahab (now the Asteroid Belt), Jupiter, Saturn.

> I can see you have a keen knowledge of the use of your Mac.

I am a novice, really. I just learn what I have to know to do what I want to do at any given time. I did manage to typeset three books before I got on the Internet, the first in Word Handler, the second in Word 3.0 and the last in ClarisWorks 4.0. I had gone through two 512Ks and a black and white Classic before we bought this used IIsi.

When I got on the Internet, I had 9 Megs of Ram and 40 Megs on my Hard Disk. I had to learn how to put in four new SIMMS to give me 17 Megs of Ram and buy a Syquest EZ135 to have enough memory to work on. The first one was defective and I lost a lot of stuff. The second one made up for it. It had obviously been returned and someone had left an extra used disk in it. It has been working fine for me.

I know what you mean about the built-in Disk Drive. Mine is about gone. I have to put a disk in numerous times to get it to quit giving me the message that this is not a Mackintosh disk, do I want to reinitialize it. NO!!!! Eject!!!! I seldom get brave enough to use it because it takes lots of ejecting, etc., to get it to not give me that same dialog box even when there is no disk in there. Now that it is quiet, I just leave it alone. As long as nothing else fails, I am ok.

As for the Mac Hard Drive, I only use it for System 7.5.1 and when I back up something to my spare Syquest Disk. I'm comfortable with what I have and don't really need more. I just hope it keeps working as it is. I appreciate your offer of help and will certainly keep that in mind as insurance that I can keep going if something quits.

You are not the only one to mention a fierce testing these days. I think Satan is probably being allowed to sift us to see if we are wise or foolish virgins. As you say, "I will endure somehow." This is where we show what we are made of. The Lord will reward us all in His own good time. This life is a test anyway. So it is getting harder all the time, we'll get through with flying colors anyway. He that is in us is stronger than he that is in the world. God bless. Agape.
