Amazing sight Friday April 23rd (Troy Geri)
I am praying for you both in the short time remaining. I continue to pray that your ministry may continue to reach as many as people as possible and that souls may be saved through our saviour Jesus Christ. Marilyn I had an amazing experience on Friday evening April 23rd between 6.15pm & 6.40 pm Aust time. I did not know whether to write and tell you this because I kept asking myself whether it was all imagination. Two things have commanded (I meant to write convinced, commanded came out without me realising) me otherwise. I was walking home from the train station like I normally do, about a twenty five minute walk. For the previous two weeks I had been asking the lord to give me something, anything as a confirmation of what is soon about to occur. I did not know what to expect. As normal I was walking and praying to my Father on the way home, about two minutes after I had yet again asked for confirmation, I noticed a star I usually look at, that is always bright (I think it is Venus). However it appeared to be far brighter than usual, I just kept looking at it in amazement, as I continued looking it seemed to expand further until it was about 10 times the size of any other star, around the central brightness there were what looked like sparks, the central brightness had taken on the form of a cross. I thought you are imagining this, no way!! Then as if in answer I just started laughing, I had no control over this, I was just laughing out loud in pure joy. I have never ever done that before, it felt amazing, even as I am writing this now I am smiling and giggling, I don't know why!!!!! This continued most of the way home (easily fifteen minutes). During the rest of the journey the size of the star did not change but the central shape seemed to go back and forth between a cross and a flying figure with wings. Still unsure whether to send this to you and sound stupid I said to God, right tell me what to do, give me something from the bible, he gave me Ezekiel nine eleven, "Just then, the man clothed with linen, who had the inkhorn at his side, reported back and said, "I have done as you commanded me." I took this as a command from God so have posted this to you. Whatever this sight was meant to be it sure was incredible, I even told my (non-christian) wife when I got home. Yours in agape love, see you soon !

My reply

Thank you so much for sharing this with me.

Troy. Do you see any significance of April 23? Just look at this list.

Jan. 23, 1950, Knesset retored Jerusalem as capital of Israel.
Oct. 23, 1998, the Wye River Memorandum was signed.
Jan. 23, 1999, the gigantic gamma-ray burst was seen in the constellation Bootes just 120 days before Pentecost, Sivan 7, 5759 (Saturday, May 22, 1999). It was 49 years after Jerusalem became capital of Israel.
Feb. 23, 1999, Venus and Jupiter were in close conjunction. Billed as "Super Duper Meeting of the Plants."
April 23, 1999, You see a vision. Mars is brighter than it has been for nearly two years. Earth passed between Mars and the sun Apr. 24.
Will May 23, 1999 be the Rapture for you there in Australia? If it is Saturday, May 22 in Israel, I think it is Friday, May 21 for me and Sunday, May 23 for you. These three dates cover the three ways of figuring Pentecost. Whew!

His reply

Wow!! I had not realised the significance of the date, thanks so much for pointing that out.

I was just thinking about the dates you mentioned for Pentecost. There is one time in Israel that could almost make the date all over the world May 22, the answer, 2.00pm Jerusulem time. Correct me if I am wrong. Israel is +2hrs GMT, the max any country is +GMT time is 12hrs, around New Zealand & Fiji , that makes them 10hours ahead of Israel time, so 2.00pm May 22 in Israel, they would just be reaching midnight May 23. The max behind GMT anywhere in the world is -12hrs around Eniwetok, Kwajalein, so they are 14hrs behind Israel, thus at 2.00pm they would just be reaching midnight May 22. Just as the clock is striking 2.00pm in Israel May 22 it seems the whole world will just about be on the same date, it may come down to a matter of seconds if you allow a few seconds variation time to the GMT. In Australia it would be 10.00pm May 22nd as we are 8 hours ahead of Israel. In his love

My reply

Thanks for figuring all this out. Am still praying for Carol.

I have been an admirer of your studies and works on prophecy and scripture for a long time. Your books and articles shed a lot of light on questions i've had and never were answered completely in previous Bible studies. Your research and passion for the Truth in God's Word are valiant in an un- believing and hostile world, i applaud your courage.

There is however, something i read in P C 307 which has left me with a bitter taste. We ran across this same teaching once before in an 7th day Adventist Bible study. Then also were we left with the same bitter conclusion. Before i go into the actual statement, i would like to know your basic beliefs particularly concerning the Catholic faith, i understand your faith is Baptist. My faith is Christian, born and raised Roman Catholic in Europe, Presbetyrian, and Episcopalian for 35 years here in the U.S.. I love our Lord Jesus very much as do many people of all faiths. There have been many injustices done to fellowman in the name of Christianity throughout the ages. Despite the ills and sin of man God has allowed His Truth to be passed on through the Church for two- thousand years. Without the (Universal) Catholic Church there would be no reformation or Protestant Church. I recently viewed a special on the History Channel concerning the Vatican and how during WW ll , they unearthed beneath the tombs of past popes directly below the floor of the altar bones of someone. Upon further research and carbon dating it appeared that these bones dated back to the time Peter lived. A curious fact was also found in that the skeleton was complete all except the ankles and feet. It is known that Peter was crucified upside down from his ankles. The reason i brought this story forward is that when i saw it, it stirred something deep within my heart, humility. Jesus stated once that Simon would be called Peter which meant Rock and upon this Rock, His Church would be built. Is it irony or truth that Peters bones were buried deep beneath the Vatican in a tomb built almost two thousand years ago.

"Ye who are without sin, cast the first stone". The Body of the Church is not without flaw or blemish, but is washed and made clean by the Blood of Christ and given new raiment in Christ's Righteousness. Salvation is by Grace, implying Gift, received in faith not through merit. Marilyn, you defend the faith and everything it stands for, you corrected someone a while back who was confused on the sacraments of communion and baptism. Would you please expand on the statement of Babylon, i cannot leave this bitter taste behind. I anticipate your reply. in Christ, Rob and Bogaard. note...feel free to post my name

My faith is not Baptist. My faith is Christian, as yours is. I like to attend a Baptist Church that opens their Bible and teaches straight from it. I do not find one single denomination mentioned in the Bible. Yet, there are "churches" mentioned. The criterion for being a member of the ecclesia (called out ones) is faith in Christ, nothing else.

I have at some time in my life attended Methodist, First Baptist, Calvary Baptist, Fellowship Baptist, Presbyterian, Episcopalian, Lutheran, Catholic, Christian, Evangelical Free, Rolling Hills Covenant, Calvary Church of Santa Ana, Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, Covenant Community Church, Nazarene, Orangecrest Saturday Night, and perhaps several more I have forgotten. Denomination is not important. How close they stick to the Bible is.

Even though there are "DIVERSITIES OF OPERATIONS" (I Cor. 12:6), all believers are still one body. Rom. 12:5 says, So we, being many, are ONE BODY IN CHRIST, and every one members one of another." I Cor. 12:13 says, "For by one Spirit are we ALL baptized into ONE BODY." Eph. 4:4 says, "There is ONE BODY, and one Spirit, even as ye are called one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is obove all, and through all, and in you all."

> I love our Lord Jesus very much

So do I. That is what counts, not what denomination we happen to worship with.

There have been seven periods of church history. The messages to the seven church groups depict this history as well as describe similar church groups of today. We still have young churches, persecuted churches, churches under Imperial favor, churches under the Papacy, churches that had their roots in the Reformation, believers that show brotherly love and believers that are lukewarm. Here are the seven groups:

(1) Ephesus, the apostolic period, historically 30 to 100 AD.
Apostles were almost all killed and are 12 of the elders of Rev. 4:4.
To others whose love has grown cold, Jesus said, "repent, and do the first works; or else."
(2) Smyrna, the martyr period, historically 100 to 313 AD, when Constantine issued the Edict of Toleration and made Christianity the state religion.
The greatest time of persecution was during the ten periods of persecution under the Roman Emperors, the last and worst being ten years under Diocletion. Bodies were heaped in piles in the streets.
Jesus mentioned no condemnation. Martyrs given white robes, Rev. 6:11.
(3) Pergamos, the church under Imperial favor, married to the world, growth of the doctrine of Balaam and of the Nicolaitanes, elevation of clergy over laity, historically 313 to 1073 AD. Roman Empire fell in 476 AD. Papacy began to fill the vacuum. However, in 325 AD, Constantine delivered the opening address at the Council of Nicea. The bishop of Rome (who was not present in person) exercised no influence in the deliberations.
Jesus said, "Repent; or else."
(4) Thyatira, full sway of Papacy, historically 1073 to 1517 AD.
Jesus said to those that follow Jezebel, "I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent."
Jesus told the rest, "hold fast till I come."
(5) Sardis, Reformation, historically 1517 up to Peace of Westphalia in 1648 AD.
Jesus said, "hold fast, and repent."
(6) Philadelphia, those of all groups that have no condemnation against them.
Jesus said, "I have set before thee an open door...I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world."
(7) Laodicea, those of all groups that are lukewarm.
Jesus said, "I will spue thee out of my zealous therefore, and repent"

Jesus' words hold true today, and are also addressed to those of our day that have roots in these various groups. However, we have to remember that the Philadelphian and Laodicean groups represent modern times and come out of all church groups.

The ecclesia existed during the apostolic era. It grew during the persecution era. It grew during the Imperial favor era. It grew during the full sway of the Papacy era. It grew during the Reformation era. It still exists and is growing in these general types of churches today as well as in the Philadelphian and Laodicean groups. There are overcomers mentioned in all seven groups. None are left out.

> Without the (Universal) Catholic Church there would be no reformation or Protestant Church.

Without the Apostolic church, martyr's church and the church under Imperial favor, there would be no Catholic Church, either. All are phases of the growth of the ecclesia.

> it appeared that these bones dated back to the time Peter lived.

The bones may be the apostle Peter or another Peter. I remember that the name was found chisled into the stone. I too was interested in the find.

> Jesus stated once that Simon would be called Peter which meant Rock and upon
> this Rock, His Church would be built.

In Mt. 16:13-18, we find the first mention of the ecclesia (ek = out of; kaleo = to call),an assembly of called-out ones. Jesus "asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, BUT WHOM SAY YE THAT I AM? And Simon Peter answered and said, THOU ART THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter (Petros, a little rock), and upon this rock (Petra, a massive rock formation) I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

What is the massive Petra upon which he will build the ecclesia? A massive rock is not built upon a little rock. It would crush it to powder. The ecclesia is not built on Peter. It is built upon Christ. He is the massive corner stone. Peter is a smaller stone in the foundation. So to what was Jesus referring? He was referring to Peter's statement, "THOU ART THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD." Upon this is the ecclesia built. The criterion for being a member of the ecclesia (called out ones) is faith in Christ, nothing else.

Peter explains that the church is built on Christ in I Peter 2:1-8: "WHEREFORE laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. To whom coming, as unto a LIVING STONE, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion A CHIEF CORNER STONE, elect, precious: and HE THAT BELIEVETH ON HIM (Christ, the chief corner stone) SHALL NOT BE CONFOUNDED. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word."

Christ crucified is the Rock that was smitten so that the Spirit of life may flow from him to all who will drink. As an example, in the wilderness, they "did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and THAT ROCK WAS CHRIST' (I Cor. 10:4). To the ecclesia, he is the foundation and chief corner stone. In I Cor. 3:11, Paul said, "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ." Peter is not the foundation. Christ is the foundation upon which the ecclesia is built. Peter is a lively stone in the spiritual house, as are we.

> Would you please expand on the statement of Babylon

In the early days, The Babylonian Mystery Religion started by Nimrod, Semiramis and Tamuz had many forms, almost all eventually ending up in Rome, who adopted the gods of the nations she conquered. The names became changed because of the confusion of languages at Babel. Semiramis, under names such as Astarte, Venus, etc., was worshipped as the Queen of Heaven. She and Tammuz were worshipped as the Madonna and child. Both Nimrod and Tamuz, father and son, were worshipped as the sun god.

Jer. 7:17,18 says, "Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the QUEEN OF HEAVEN, and to pour out drink-offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger." Ezek. 8:14-16 says, "behold, there sat women weeping for TAMMUZ. Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these....they worshipped the SUN toward the east."

In 313 AD, Constantine declared Christianity the state religion. He marched his soldiers through the river to baptize them. He merged the Babylonian Mystery Religion and Christianity into one group. In effect, it is as if the Babylonian Mystery Religion donned the cloak of Christianity. Satan had infiltrated the visible church in one fell swoop. Ever since, he has worked hard from within it to undermine it. The amalgamation kept many pagan feasts and rituals to satisfy the pagans in their midst. One pagan feast imported from the Babylonian Mystery Religion into Christianity was Easter. Another was Tammuz' birthday celebration on Dec. 25th. In the marriage of The Babylonian Mystery Religion and Christianity, these feasts were associated both with Christ and Tammuz. Therefore, both pagans and Christians could keep the same feasts.

There are many other similarities. The Babylonian religion had vestal virgins. The physical church married to it has nuns. The high priest of the Babylonian religion was called the Pontifex Maximus, as was Constantine and his descendants. One of the Babylonian variants was Dagon the fish god. The high priest wore a tall hat split to represent a fish head. That too was carried over into Christianity. Even the T for Tammuz and the cross of Christ were welded into one symbol. All these things and many more are described in Hislop's "Two Babylons."

The Reformation was to try to eliminate the pagan influence from the ecclesia. It was incomplete. Jesus tells the church in Sardis, I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God" (Rev. 3:1,2). There is no perfect visible church. Therefore, it behooves us all to strive to be counted as part of the Philadelphian group, before whom the open door is set. That means repenting and confessing our sins to God to bring them under the blood of Christ. I John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, AND to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness."

Now, a world church is coming. It will again meld pagans with Christianity, emcompassing all religions. However, before it becomes a fact, the true ecclesia who have no condemnation mentioned against them, those who are part of the Philadelphian church of brotherly love, will be called up to Heaven through that open door. When the Rapture pulls out the Philadelphians, what will be left here are the lukewarm Laodiceans. They will not have enough power to stop the Babylonian Mystery Religion from again coming to full power. It will rise, and a house will be built for it in Babylon. It will be moved and "set there upon her own base" (Zech. 5:11). The Tower of Babel will finally be finished, but destruction awaits. Babylon will be destroyed by an asteroid. Rev. 18:21 says, "And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all."

Because of the pagan infiltration into the visible church, the only way we can know if what ANY church preaches is true or not is to compare it with Scripture. The Bible is the only rock-hard truth we have. As long as we only believe what we find in Scripture, we will be ok. Jesus said, "hold fast till I come" (Rev. 2:25). He didn't say to try to fix the church. We are too near the end for that. He said "hold fast till I come." We are to hang on to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, confess our sins, and wait patiently until the Lord comes for us. We are to "pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man" (Lu. 21:36).

I hope this helps to clarify things. Agape; we are all one in Christ Jesus.

Re: Babylon (Robert Bogaard)
You are incredible and truly God inspired, to take time out for me and five pages worth at that. I can't begin to tell you how much you mean to me, i have been searching so long for the truth. God's Holy Spirit led me to you years ago, when i found your book "the End of The Age". I work in a paper mill and i have been packing that tathered paperback i my lunchbox a long time, right next to my little Bible. I have let others read it as well, it looks like a rainbow when you open it because of all the highliters i have used, i praise God for people like you marilyn. I thank you for helping me personally, as i find besides God and my wife there arent many to turn to, it gets pretty lonely at times. We have been pretty well considered strange or way out in left field by friends and family, and feel shunned even though they wont come out and say it to our face. I can imagine what you must go through with all the mail you get. All glory to our Lord but He has truly made you a beacon of light in this dark world. May He give you and your husband strength , courage, and peace beyond all understanding.

You were describing a sensation in your last PC which i also have experienced before, the key word was "waves". When i first experienced this was during a grief workshop, we lost our daughter and were trying to work trough our pain. The same feeling came over and all through me like electricity, it surged in waves for days at times so strong i couldnt hardly take it. They asked me what was happening and what i was feeling, the only thing i could tell them was i used to think sex felt pretty good but this was incredible. I know now that it was the presence and touch of our Lord, and have felt it at other times especially when serving at renewal encounters, God is great!

I dont want to take your time with all my ramblings, i am very gratefull for all you do and for being a friend in Christ, i believe we will meet eachother soon face to face with our Lord.
So long for now , God Bless You

I emailed you on the 24th out of concern since you hadn't posted since 21st, and continued telling you about an open vision I had in mid-February 1997.

Now I want to tell you about my several rainbow experiences. I began to notice them as "special" on the day I buried my husband, mid-March 1996. At the gathering at our home after the services, there was a fierce hail storm, followed by a most breathtaking double rainbow - the first double I had ever seen. A peace came over me because I somehow knew it was Jesus telling me Jimmy was with him and everything was OK.

Just about a year later, a friend of mine lost her healthy 28-year old son to a freak mishap during laproscopic surgery. In the early evening, just before dusk, on the day of his funeral, I saw another double rainbow, and had the same flood of peace.

Six months ago, my 81-year old daddy died, and there was another double rainbow!

About 3 months ago, I saw a small square of several colors in the western sky. It was somewhat cloudy that day and there was this box of color. Finally the sky broke clear to the north and another box of color! Eventually the "rainbow" became more visable but this was a very strange site until it all came together.

Around that same time, I saw a hole in the "sky" with a blast of sunrays shining through. It was cloudy, there was a hole in the clouds, and a huge beam shining down toward earth. Glorious!

God is good and His is a glorious paintbrush! Thank you Jesus...not only for the beauty but for the messages of hope for those of us who are watching and anxiously seeking your face at our home-going.

My reply

Thanks. The rainbow is a reminder of God's covenant with us. Gen. 9:13 says, "I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth." God keeps his promises.
