CLINTON TO SET NEW DEADLINE FOR FINAL STATUS - MAY 2000
By David Makovsky, Ha'aretz April 26, 99

U.S. President Bill Clinton is poised to dispatch a letter to Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat today, expressing American support for extending "accelerated" final status talks with the "objective" of reaching a deal within a year...

IRAQ FACING WORST DROUGHT IN 50 YEARS
April 19, 1999 By Leon Barkho, Associated Press Baghdad, Iraq (AP)

U.N. relief organizations are working to alleviate the impact on sanctions-hit Iraq of what could be the worst drought in 50 years, a senior U.N. official said Monday. Water levels in the Tigris and Euphrates rivers have dropped so much this year that people can cross them on foot, according to farmers and residents in northern Iraq....

SYRIA'S WATER SUPPLIES HIT BY DROUGHT
Reuters April 25, 1999 Damascus, Syria

A spring that has provided water for Damascus for more than 4,000 years can no longer cope with demand and Syrian authorities plan to start rationing supplies of drinking water, an official said Sunday. Ghazi Obied, head of the press department at the General Establishment for Drinking Water in Damascus, said the worst drought to hit the country in 26 years meant water supplies would have to be cut for six hours during the night starting from June.

Note: Israel has drought. Southern California didn't get enough rain this year. And, when the earth was dried, "God spake unto Noah, saying, Go forth" (Gen. 8:13,14). Makes me wonder.

This is interesting! You said that you keep going back to "as the days of Noah" also. Look at this!

You said that you feel that the "go forth" is perhaps rapture related. I was asking about the possibility of Acension Day. Guess what day the 2nd month, 27th day,the day the earth was dry and the day that God told Noah to "go forth", with his family and all the animals in the Ark. The 2nd, 27th day on the Sacred Calendar is-----May l3th, 40 days after Ressurection Day! I have not looked at this before, because, in Noah's day, that would have been in the fall (before God changed the calendar just before Passover).

Then, perhaps the Holy Spirit would deal with all the believers who were left or became believers at the rapture, for 10 days until Pentecost, when God would begin to deal with the Jews as He did before Jesus came. If Jesus acended on a day other than a feast day, could we not perhaps do the same?

Have you got input on this possiblity?

Repeatedly, I thank you for your study and your open heart. Sometimes, you are the only person that I can take serious concerns to about this most glorious hope. Just cannot understand the lack of interest even from Christians. But, I have a new strength and "motto". I heard part in song and changed to fit how I feel.

If I have an habit............
It is Jesus.
If I have a hang-up...........
It is watching and studying
about His return.
If I have an addiction........
It is the Truth, the Bible.
And I apologize to no one for any of these.
> little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall

My reply

If 27 Iyar was Ascension Day, that would mean that the 50th day would be Sivan 8, Sunday, May 23, 1999. Maybe this is to show us something. I don't know. Since we can interpolate the Jewish civil calendar backward and determine that the day God rested was Tishri 1, maybe the sacred calendar can be interpolated backward too. There were things man knew in early days that we don't know how they knew. For instance, Noah knew which were clean and unclean animals before Moses's day.

However that may be, what I do know is that we had better get ready and stay ready. The Lord's coming can't be far off. Keep watching. Keep praying to be accounted worthy to escape all these things that are coming upon the world. Confess sins instantly. Remember that Peter needed Jesus to wash his feet. Stay in fellowship with the Lord. Have faith so strong you could walk on water instead of getting scared and starting to sink as Peter did. Keep watching. Oh, how we will love his appearing. Love Him and feed his sheep.

James 1:5,6 says, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed."

Last night, something else came to my mind. Think about this correlation. Abram was born in 2008 AH. I think Jesus Christ will return in 2008 AD. Abraham is the father of the Jews. Christ is the Father of us all. Agape

When you have time I need your help on the following. During the course of the last few weeks I have been talking to many people about Christ's soon return, some of those have been potential Laodiceans. I'm trying to give some of these people a wake up call, the message seems to be getting through. However I know that I am soon going to be challenged by a few family members who are active followers of christ but don't believe it is time for Jesus to return now. I'm trying to be prepared for this challenge by building up some armory from the bible. I just need a few clarifications. The fig tree parable in Matthew, how do we know that GOD as actually referring to Israel here? Is Israel described by GOD as a fig tree anywhere? Can you just refresh me on what the 'falling away' is before the son of perdition is revealed. I have heard you mention that it is obviously not apostasy as how can an already apostate Israel become apostate. Is the falling away the removal of the church at the rapture? Finally, where does Jesus say that Jerusalem will be reestablished in the end times? I know I probably should know these things but I have only been studying really hard since the beginning of this year and have not picked up everything yet? Thanks so much, God bless you both with abundance

My reply

> Is Israel described by GOD as a fig tree anywhere?

Yes. Look at these: Joel 1:6,7; Hos. 9:10; Eze. 36:8; Jer 24:5,6.

> Is the falling away the removal of the church at the rapture?

Yes. "Apostasia" means "departing," as in a divorcement ("apostacion"). It does seem that as the Philadelphians go through the open door of Rev. 3:8, the Laodiceans are divorced.

One thing that misleads some in this passage is the KJV's "day of Christ" in v. 2. Just about all major MSS say day of the Lord, and that is the meaning. It is the Millennium.

> where does Jesus say that Jerusalem will be reestablished in the end times?

It is mostly in the Old Testament. One place is Zech. 14. Another is Joel 3:1. There are many more.

Due to the short time between now and May 22, it doesn't surprise me that Satan is trying to eliminate God's message through your web page. As I told you on the phone last night, had I not found your web page - after reading your three books - I would not have been able to put all these things together and I'm honest to say I probably wouldn't have been eagerly watching. Your web page is sort of like a group Bible study. I feel a certain bond in Christ's love with those who visit as I do. I eagerly wait for Bible study at each update.

It may be time to not only seek out another server, but would you please consider the Lord's will in adding three or four mirror sites? These would, of course, be located on different servers, thus not only making it easier for individuals to find God's message and join the study, but also to prevent what happened yesterday. Also, once we are gone, the access will be all the more important....

As with Joseph, and stated in Romans, God will turn this for good.

Even so, come Lord Jesus! Agape

...I have a question. I have been reading Genesis and Revelations and some of your comments on both. E.g., the location of the Tree of Life. Is it possible that:
1. Heaven and Earth are 'mirror sites'?
I read in Gen. the naming of the rivers and geologic attributes, and we can find those on a map. But, in Rev. we see the Tree of Life in Heaven. Also, when the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray, he stated "..Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.." Also, Jesus instructed that whatever we bind or loose on earth, will be bound or loosed in heaven. In other words, is it possible that geologically, and maybe otherwise, we will recognize places in heaven because they were mirrored on earth?
2. That since Adam and Eve cared for the Garden in heaven, that when they were expelled to earth, that they named certain places the same here as they had been in heaven?

Also, I am very curious regarding Jesus' question about whether HE, the Son of Man, will find faith when he returns to the earth. What is this 'faith' referring to? I am coming to think that faith is a difficult word in English. Faith to me means REALITY. Substance. Evidence. Not a belief. So, I can't 'see' Christ, but I know He's there, in reality. Just like, I can't see my wife and children right now, but I know they exist, they are real. That's why faith comes from hearing the Word of God. It doesn't get any more real than God. So, I look at Elijah and Elisha, and it appears to me they had extra doses of reality, looking into heaven and God's plan. Also, "Faith without works is dead." Peter sank in the water. So, what will Christ, the Son of Man be looking for when He returns? Faith, yes, but what? I would appreciate your feedback here.

As always, God protect you and bless you. Agape

My reply

> ...possible that: 1. Heaven and Earth are 'mirror sites'?

Not entirely, but we know the Lord's taste. He created a beautiful Earth. We know there are two Jerusalems, two Gardan of Edens, two Paradises, etc. However, Jesus said that eye hath not seen nor ear heard the things he has prepared for us (I Cor. 2:9).

> 2. That since Adam and Eve cared for the Garden in heaven, that when they were expelled
> to earth, that they named certain places the same here as they had been in heaven?

They were not expelled to Earth, but created on Earth.

>What is this 'faith'

Heb. 11:1: "NOW faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Read the rest of that chapter.

> what will Christ, the Son of Man be looking for when He returns? Faith, yes, but what?

He will be looking for faith (belief, trust) in him, faith that he can accomplish what he said he would do, i.e., faith in his promises. He will also, at the first Rapture, be looking for those filled with the oil of the Holy Spirit (i.e., the wise virgins). We are not told how much oil we must have, but are repeatedly told to be filled and not quench the HS. Use I John 1:9 to get all sins since accepting Christ under the blood of Christ. Then you will be filled. The HS is as a well of living water welling up within us.

Re: faith and works. By faith in Christ, we are saved. By works done when filled with the Holy Spirit, we earn rewards. We send treasures ahead to Heaven. We can't take anything with us on the trip, but we can send treasures ahead of time. Read I Cor. 13. When doing good works, we must have charity (agape love, God's love). If we are filled with him, and he is love, we have agape and are earning rewards. Things done when not filled may not earn us rewards. Read it and see what you think. Agape

Well, I'll say this. It is getting to be closer to the Tribulation and I feel that it is hard to ask for blessings and any real peace anymore in this nation. If the Lord tarries; it would seem that we have been wrong and we may be stuck in part of the Tribulation. Anyway; I don't know what to say sometimes. I'm gonna get some rest from my endless work and aggravation I go through with customers swearing at me and stuff. It seems like I'm a slave at my job; that's for sure. And I don't know how not to be angry all the time with the state of things; the Hope for the Rapture must be continually rekindled as we remind ourselves of what Hope there is to come. Frankly; I hope you are right about when the Tribulation starts anyway; but again if a generation means 50 years or 80 years; we may have to wait more years for the Rapture; and instead of seeing a few massacres like Colorado; we may see several every day. Instead of hundreds of thousands dying in Europe and other countries; we may see millions; tens of millions; even many more dying here in this country. I feel like I'd rather be stuck soon in the Tribulation than have to ask for His patience and delay; you may disagree. We have to be on fire; and speak the Word and evangelize with so many yet needing to be reached. I have felt myself He would come like around December this year; but have to be prepared if He doesn't come then; or next year; or even the year after that. Can I base my faith on one verse; or on so many manipulations of numbers and stuff; and codes and all?? I don't wanna waste valuable time though; with so much to do. Even in heaven; I want to say that we will send prayers out as the angels cast it before God in a like manner of insence; and we shall be battling in the Spirit; even if in new bodies; and having a rest beforehand; our battle starting now will continue in the Spirit. So if we are here; or we have part of the Body of Christ in mind; and our Spirit is connected to them through prayer; it doesn't matter in that sense if we are here through the Tribulation or not; in fact if we die as a martyr in particular beforehand; I am sure we continue to pray even in heaven for those left behind. It is hard; and I guess I'm majorly stressed. Don't wanna burden you-just facing things. Prayers are answered; but more and more are trying to commit suicide and violence increases. Should we pray for peace at all; when it is a sweet savor to Christ when those are willing to die for their friends; and in the same token for Him??? I may sound overly pessimistic; but it seems the quicker the better to get judgement up to it's peak; rather than having prayers answered and being stuck here even longer. We may be stuck here; and you of course will have to pick up the pieces in 2001 or 2002 if things haven't entered the Tribulation; the next cycle of 2300 days between feasts is when; 2020? Or later??

Take it easy. In Him

My reply

It sounds like you do not have the peace that passeth all understanding. You seem to be torturing yourself with doubts. You need to find God's promises in the Bible and believe that he will bring them to pass. Rest in Him. Cast all your cares on Him. Then you can have inner peace in the midst of chaos, the patience to take a baby step when you can't take a big step. It isn't always what happens to us, but how we cope with what happens. Also, we have to remember that every time we take a spiritual step upward, we are tested to see if we will hang on or let it go. Hang on with steadfastness, and what seems like cursing will turn to blessing.

As for the length of a generation, God demonstrated it for you, if you will only latch onto it. Jesus told the Pharisees in 30 AD, "Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon THIS GENERATION." They did, in 70 AD, 40 years later. He also had the Israelites wander in the wilderness 40 years while one generation died off. What else do you need?

> If the Lord tarries; it would seem that we have been wrong and we
> may be stuck in part of the Tribulation.

Believe his promise in Rev. 3:10 to keep you FROM (away from, out of) the trial that is going to come upon the whole world to try those that are left on Earth.

Get sin out of the way (I Jn. 1:9), and pray. Luke 21:36 says, "WATCH ye therefore, and PRAY ALWAYS, that ye may be ACCOUNTED WORTHY to ESCAPE ALL THESE THINGS (the Tribulation) that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." The word for escape is EKPHEUGO, "escape OUT OF or AWAY FROM." We get our word EXIT from the prefix, "EK." Strong's gives "vanish" as an alternate meaning for EKPHEUGO. From ESCAPE to VANISH, not the slightest hint of "survive through."

Do you think that Jesus would tell us to pray that we would be accounted worthy to escape if there was no escape? The Bible is pure truth. Believe what it says.

> again if a generation means 50 years or 80 years; we may have to wait
> more years for the Rapture

See what I mean? Search the Bible. Figure out what length of time a generation is. Then back up 2300 days (Dan. 8:14). The Rapture has to take place before that. Figure it out, believe it, and relax. You are torturing yourself.

> Can I base my faith on one verse; or on so many
> manipulations of numbers and stuff; and codes and all??

Only base your faith on the Bible. The other things are interesting, but not something to build a doctrine on. God does not have to say it but once, but he usually shows us things twice so we can be sure we are getting the right message.

> I guess I'm majorly stressed. Don't wanna burden you-just facing things

I knew it before you got around to saying it plainly. Face it. Think it through. Search the scriptures for answers. Believe them and get rid of this stress. Jesus knew we could not stand major stress. That is why he said to cast all our cares on him. Pray. Lay everything on him. Then let him handle it. Don't take it back into your own hands. Leave it with him. We are too apt to give it to him and then immediately take it back and try to fix it ourselves. Give it to him, and leave it with him to work out.

> more and more are trying to commit suicide and violence increases

What do you expect? We are living in the end of the age. Things are going to keep getting worse until evil comes to a head and Christ steps in to put an end to it.

>Should we pray for peace at all

Yes, and especially for Jerusalem.

> it seems the quicker the better to get judgement up to it's peak

Don't you know that God has a time schedule? Things will happen when they are supposed to happen. Judgment does not belong to you.

> We may be stuck here

Oh, ye of little faith. Father, increase his faith. In Jesus' name, Amen. As many times as we have emailed each other back and forth, you still come off as you started, maybe worse because you are getting more stressed out. How bad do you want that to get before you turn around? Did you know that repent means change your mind? In Greek, it is metanoeo, to think differently, reconsider.

> the next cycle of 2300 days between feasts is when; 2020? Or later??

Are you forgetting that all the end-time prophecies have to be fulfilled within 40 years of Israel's growing leaves? (Mt. 24:32-34; Dan. 9:24).

> Take it easy.

You need to take your own advise. Give your troubles to God before you crack up. You can do it sooner or later. Sooner is better. Then you can relax. These bodies were not meant to be wound up so tight. The Lord is there waiting for you to lean on him. What is so hard about giving it all to him and letting him have total charge of your life?

PS: Re: type of the 40 years. Remember that a day can represent a year. Acts 1:3,9-11 says, "To whom (the apostles) also he (Jesus) shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them FORTY DAYS...And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up...And...two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven: this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so COME IN LIKE MANNER AS YE HAVE SEEN HIM GO INTO HEAVEN."

I am convinced that this is a type and that Christ will come in like manner 40 years after Jerusalem is resurrected. Israel took the rest of the city in 1967 (5728 + 40 + 5768, which starts Sept. 13, 2007). I think Christ will return Nisan 1, 5768 (our April 6, 2008). Why else did he ascend on the 40th day?

I also think the Oslo Accords being signed on Sept. 13, 1993 is conformation of this. Sept. 13, 1993 + 7 good years + 7 bad years is Sept. 13, 2007. Not only this, but the Oslo Accords were ratified three days later in Israel on Tishri 1, 5754. Tishri 1, 5754 + 14 = Tishri 1, 5768, which is our Sept. 13, 2007. Can't you see God's controlling hand in this? Agape

His reply

Ok; it is several hours later; my friend Carrie who has turned her life back to Christ lately...:) (smiley) really encouraged me; I just know she prayed for me today!!! For your love and concern; I am appreciative; for it is this which makes life worthwhile; through Christ in the Body split up now; which shall rejoice in complete unity and harmony in heaven soon!!!! It has been my vision the Lord will have us there in 2000; the whole church of true believes so divided now; through Satan's efforts can be together; in love and perfect harmony; no more anger or divisions or misunderstandings. I am hopeful with the greatest desire; but it is His strength which I guess some rest and prayer 4 me seems to have rekindled. I usually just go on and on and on at work and doing things with my wife/family; chores and stuff and then just write to people; taking time for myself seems to have been impossible for so long; the stress just builds and builds; and I'm more tired as days pass. It is so hard; even with getting frustrated to accept God's rest and peace; I felt guilty today not going to work AGAIN when they called even though I haven't been off during the week for a couple weeks anyhow; and worked a lot of overtime lately. I just try and stuff; and it is so hard to be able to relax; especially these days!!!! Yet I do look for rest in heaven; I try to share this with brothers and sisters in Christ; but they're so busy themselves; it is a miracle my one friend anyway actually could tell me just a couple sentences; and yet it made me feel so much better just to take a few minutes; rest and stuff; just to be able to feel a bit of love and concern from someone in the Lord made me feel so good. I don't want to ask for it because I know that we are to serve and stuff; and it is better to give than recieve; and that the Lord Himself brings peace and all; even if through brethren. But even sharing rejoicing may make me seem selfish to others; who pray so hard and are anguished like Lot about the day we are in. But I feel I have to; especially to those who are suicidal. Oh yeah; I have attention deficit/depression and stuff; I know that I do because I struggled with it years before they came out with an explanation and stuff. I recognized the pattern from childhood. Well, not to boast but I believe so many with problems and abuse in their life are the ones who show so much more compassion and do so much more of the work for the Kingdom; like my dear friend Mark who had Muscular Dystrophy; and has been with the Lord at least 10 years now; the ONLY one who would call me when home from college and ask if I was coming to church. My wife too; with her mild disability; Cerebral Palsy; who has been my best friend since my Freshman year in school; and so many others who try so hard I know who have had mental abuse; epilepsy; Cerebral Palsy; emotional and physical abuse; been molested and otherwise hurt; so young many times; yet so faithful.

We are tattered; maimed and scarred by the world; but will have the last laugh on Satan. We shall be victorious; by burning anger against the enemy; by our work in the Spirit when it recieves reward as we stand before the King of glory. Please; please Marilyn don't think I am proud of expecting reward; if I convict others now or especially AFTER the Rapture it is just my desire for them to see the Spirit and our just rewards for it NOW so they may be able to stand in the darkness of the coming Tribulation. I just am telling you what I feel the Spirit would say; I am so humbled before God; just another sinner saved by grace. I love Jesus; and I guess I do feel better now than earlier! Thanks

Later:
Well, thanks for your caring anyway; sorry about anything in which I fall short of maturity; walking in full submission; for I don't want to be losing reward in heaven someday due to my failures now. It is just that so many who are believers who are stomped around and hurt in this life are looked at kinda funny; like why be depressed??? When they are the few; those who are working constantly doing the evangelization; prayer; etc. Most in the church sit back and watch while these people burn themselves out; and that's a plain fact. I would rather err in working TOO hard for Jesus than not doing enough; we have to work while it is yet day.

Anyway; sometimes I do things to just relax or whatever; but don't want to waste more time than is necessary. I really believe the Lord has shown me of late what heaven will be like; so that leads me to THINK His coming is near. But of course; I want to work and not wait until it is night and no one can work. I intend to enjoy heaven a lot; and am looking forward to rest as soon as the Bema (Judgement Seat) is past. We'll not have to worry about exhaustion up there. But nonetheless; If the Lord is telling me on occasion to take a break (like yesterday even though I try to be there unless really sick at work); I'll do it. It is just in work ethic along with Spiritual tasks; we are called on to do what would seem to be an inordinate share. We are called on to be patient (at least I am) in a job where I am cursed at; running constantly to keep up; and trying not to be fired like I was from my last job. I actually try to encourage people there at work believe it or not. Some stay others leave; but I don't see things getting any better; for with Y2K and all its problems; I expect that the customers will be panicking no matter how mild it is; coming in like a herd of buffaloes in December, 1999 for food. The store will make a lot of money; but with many people in recent weeks leaving; it will get more and more stressful. Maybe work seems like it is being taken too seriously by me in your opinion; but I spend the majority of my waking hours at work. I have to try to do the best I can. And I know I'm not perfect; strength comes from the Lord; but that bit of time you and a couple others have given to pray and support me has helped. Thanks...In Him

My reply

I'm sure in that boat myself.

Great. Hang on to that. Agape

Praise the Lord. Thanks for sharing this with me. Just relax and bask in the Lord's love. He will see you through. He will help. Let him.
