Incoming Email Re: Maybe an answer for you
This is a first time for me to post to you. I hope you and Ed are doing well and I pray to God to ease your aches. I've followed your Pro and Cons for quite a while now and your bible insights are very educational and inspiring. Please keep going!
The first thing I would like to say, is that I am not a prophet, nor do I claim to have any special messages from God. I truly love Jesus and pray daily that I will be counted among the worthy to escape the things that appear to be imminently before us. But, something happened on Pentecost Sunday that I would like to share with you.
While in church Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. on Pentecost, May 23, 1999, I thought I would be child-like (I'm 53) in asking God if the rapture was today, could it happen while I was in church. So that is what I did. I was praying and asked the Father to send Jesus to come and get us now as I thought this was a good time. Before I even finished my prayer, the Father said in my spirit "This is not the hour". I was stunned when I heard His voice but then, very quickly, I was filled with peace and joy. I could hardly contain myself and there was absolutely no room for disappointment or discouragement! I thanked Him profusely for telling me and then I added "But Father, Marilyn says that today is a likely day for us to go." Then in my heart, I felt the Lord smile at your work and add, but there is ONE MORE Prophecy to be fulfilled. I understood this to mean a bible prophecy that is "obvious."
Marilyn, I don't know what prophecy He meant and the word "obvious" was put into my heart. You can use this message or not. I just feel that if this is a word of knowledge for you than I had better pass it along. Maranatha
My reply I have wondered about Rev. 17:10. At the time of the Rapture, I think that of the "seven kings: five are fallen, and ONE IS, and the other is not yet come." Maybe the "ONE" who "IS" at the time of the Rapture is actually not yet in office. The "other" is the False Prophet, who is said to be "another beast" in Rev. 13:11. This leaves the one who "IS" at the time of the Rapture to be identified with the first beast of Rev. 13.
Revelation is written as if the Rapture were "at hand." It is "at hand" in both the first and last chapters (1:10 and 22:10). Jesus signs off with, "Surely I come quickly" (22:20). He comes quickly at the Rapture (2:5).
Rev. 17:12-17 says, "the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received NO KINGDOM AS YET (i.e., at the time of the Rapture); but receive power as kings one HOUR with the beast (i.e., in the Tribulation). These shall (future tense) make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that ARE with him (i.e., at the time of the Rapture) ARE CALLED, AND CHOSEN, AND FAITHFUL....And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall (future tense) hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled."
We know from Rev. 13:1,5,7 that as the Tribulation begins, the ten kings are crowned and the first beast begins his 1260 day rule over "all nations". Therefore, Rev. 17:12 is before the beginning of the Tribulation.
Remember that in Rev. 1:19, John was told to "Write the things which thou hast seen (before the Rapture), and the things which ARE (at the time of the Rapture), and the things which shall be hereafter" (after the Rapture, as "hereafter" in Rev. 4:1). In Rev. 1:8, Jesus said, "I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which IS (at the Rapture), and which was (at the First Advent), and which is to come (at the Second Advent), the Almighty."
Also, if these 10 kings are crowned at the beginning of the Tribulation and are still in power at Armageddon, the "HOUR of temptation (peirasmos, trial)" that we are to be kept from in Rev. 3:10 seems to be the same period of time, the Tribulation.
Now to think back a bit. On May 22 (Pentecost, Sivan 7, 5759), we had a thunderstorm. From the sound on things outside my window, it even hailed. The rain poured, the thunder roared, the long thick streaks of lightning not only lit up the sky, they lit our front yard like bright daylight. Getting cold standing at the front door, I went back to my desk. On a stand to the left of my open Bible directly in front of me lay a printout of email from David Hill.
He said, "And one more thing I would like to say. When I asked the Father to confirm the timing of the Rapture for me, He gave me Ps 77:17. The last couple of verse in that chapter is: "Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron." It is so obvious, that I totally missed it. This is anytime between Passover and Pentecost."
With it storming outside, I read Psa. 77:17: "The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: thine arrows also went abroad." It also stormed where David Hill was. If that verse really does confirm the timing of the Rapture, what is it telling us? Are we to think about thunder and rain?
It thundered at Mt. Sinai near Pentecost. In I Sam. 12:17,18, the Lord sent thunder and rain on the day of "wheat harvest." That sounds like Pentecost, and it did storm on Pentecost (Sivan 7), not only in California and Iowa, but in South Africa.
The Rapture is as the days of Noah (Mt. 24:37). After Noah entered the Ark, "the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights" (Gen. 7:11,12). "And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was LIFT UP ABOVE THE EARTH" (Gen. 7:17). Forty days after Sivan 7 is Tamuz 17 (July 1, 1999). That just happens to be a Jewish "fast of the fourth month" (Zech. 8:19) in memory of the tables of the law that were broken by Moses because they made the golden calf (Ex. 32:19); also for the forceful breaching of the walls of Jerusalem by Titus in 70 AD.
Zech. 8:19 says, "Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace."
The Fast of Tamuz 17 is the beginning of "bein ha-mezarim," a three-week time of mourning because of the destruction of the Temple. This time between Tamuz 17 and Av 9 (when both temples were burned) is called The Dark Time.
If the Rapture were to take place on the Fast of Tamuz 17, wouldn't we be mourned by those left behind? The Dark Time could fit pretty well. During these three weeks no Jewish weddings or other joyous occasions are held.
On Pro and Con 328, I said, "Last night, because of an email from David Hill, I looked again at Psa. 77:17f. Today, I looked at it again, also reading the first part of Psa. 77. Verses 2,5, and 10 are interesting. They say, "In the day of my trouble (i.e., suggesting the Tribulation)...I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times....I will remember the years (33.5) of the right hand of the most High (Christ). If we count 33.5 as 34, as the Jews would do, June 5, 1967 + 34 = June 5, 2001. That agrees pretty well with the Tribulation beginning on the Feast of Weeks in 2001. Sivan 7, 5761 is our May 29, the anniversary of Pentecost in 30 AD on both calendars. I feel that we have to be gone before that, also that there is some sort of a gap between the Rapture and the Tribulation. In Rev. 17:12, the ten kings "have received no kingdom as yet." As the Tribulation begins in Rev. 13:1, all ten kings are crowned."
I just thought of something else. Song of Sol. 2:11 says that the rain is over and gone. We had rain on Pentecost, even if Israel didn't. By July 1st, maybe it will be gone too.
I just can't seem to get all this out of my mind. However, if we go to next Pentecost, Sat., Sivan 7 falls on June 10, 2000. In 1967, that was the last day of the Six-Day War.
Also, I just got an email with a chart "(calculated using astronomy software)." It says, "The attached table is from _within_ the downloadable PC program, CBC94II.ZIP from http://www.cbl.com.au/~bga/."
According to this "'astronomically accurate' calendar," Pentecost will be June 20 this year.
More food for thought. Stay ready. We are still in the race. It is just a little longer than we had hoped.
Incoming Email Marilyn, I was thinking of sending this to you. A message posted to the fivedoves site by Cheryl, who quoted Lyn Mize, has further prompted me to do something about it.
Pentecost _should_ occur on June 20th this year. Rosh HaShanah _should_ occur on October 11th.
Here's a reminder about the 'astronomically accurate' calendar --- which God may prefer to use, you never know!
Does anyone know who we can contact to confirm the dates of sightings of the new moon from Jerusalem that supposedly started up again last year?
The attached table is from _within_ the downloadable PC program, CBC94II.ZIP from http://www.cbl.com.au/~bga/
Cheers, Ross Nixon
My reply Thanks. I had not seen this particular calendar. June 20 is Father's Day. That would be a nice time to be raptured. I'll be watching and hoping.
I am assuming that June 20 is Sivan 6 on this calendar. Do you know for sure? The Jews keep Pentecost two days.
If not June 20 or 21, I will be watching on July 1. That is 40 days after Sivan 7 (on the Talmudic calendar), as the rain was 40 days and 40 nights after Noah entered the Ark.
It also is the Fast of 17 Tamuz, in memory of the tables of the law that were broken by Moses because they made the golden calf (Ex. 32:19); also for the forceful breaching of the walls of Jerusalem by Titus in 70 AD.It is followed by three weeks of mourning that end on 9 Av, the date the two temples were burned....
Incoming Email David Hill wrote: Re: The Trumpet Call
The Lord stirred my heart to write this post. I was pondering the partial Rapture, specifically those who would be left behind, because unfortuately, I know that there are many that will be left behind, who haven't been responding to the exhortation to watch and pray...
I was concerned that many of them would think that they either weren't saved to begin with, or that they had lost there salvation. And I was wondering about this, and I think the Lord showed me, that those who are truly regenerated, but are not Abiding in Him, that get left behind; that these people will hear the Trumpet Call, but not the words, "Come Up Hither." So that, because the unsaved can not hear the Spirit's voice, this will show those that did hear the Trumpet, (which is the Spirits Voice) that they are indeed saved, and haven't lost there salvation, but must now pick up the Cross and follow Yeshua. The unsaved, who might think they are saved, won't even hear the Trumpet; so in this way they will also know that they must accept the Father's Salvation (Yeshua).
The Saved in Revelation 4:1 are the ones that are called up at the Rapture. However, the Laodiceans, who didn't overcome, are pictured for us in Songs 5:3, "I sleep, but my Heart Waketh: it is the voice of my Beloved that knocketh! saying, Open to Me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night."
Here, the Sister, heard the Beloved's voice speaking sweet words to her, but she didn't hear the words "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." She then goes out to look for Him, but He is gone, and the watchmen Chastise her. Again, this chastisement is proof that these people are truly saved, for the Lord only Chastises those children that belong to Him.
I feel that this should be posted, so that those who find that they have been left behind, may fully search their Hearts, for what they need to do. I may be wrong, but I don't think so, and I feel the Spirit wanted me to post this...
My reply Glad to post it. You may be right. I hadn't thought about this possibility before. We need to take seriously this business of getting prepared ahead of time.
> the Laodiceans, who didn't overcome, are picture for us in Songs 5:3, "I sleep, but
> my Heart Waketh: it is the voice of my Beloved that KNOCKETH! saying, Open to Me, my

This verse agrees with Rev. 3:20: "Behold, I stand at the door and KNOCK: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." The Laodiceans will be called to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, but we want to be called to the Marriage of the Lamb. We want to be the Bride, not just those invited to the Reception.
In Song 5:6, she opened the door too late. That sounds like the 5 foolish virgins that had to go buy oil and got back too late. We have to be ready, and stay that way, for when he does come, he will come quickly.
Incoming Email Well...we're still here. Shucks. I was in Idaho when the dates passed. I had an ear out for the shout of the archangel and the blast of the shofar...BUT NO! Oh well. I hope you are doing fine. Blessings. MARANATHA
My reply We are pretty good. I am having lots of trouble with muscle cramps. Ed is still going to Cardiac Rehab to get his strength back after his bypass surgery. He actually walked at the mall today without his cane...
We are still watching and waiting expectantly for the Rapture....We just have to stay ready and be patient...
We seem to be seeing a growing intensity of signs in the Sun, Moon and Stars in our days. We have the polar hexagon found by Voyager on Saturn's north pole and the similar hexagon found by Enterprise under the surface of the Sun. We have had blood-red moons on feast days, two comets crossing in the Rosh Satan, head of Satan, and 21 comet pieces impacting Jupiter. The two largest ever gamma ray bursters of Jan. 23 and May 10, 1999, were in the constellation Bootes, which means HE COMETH. On May 21, the Moon occulted Regulus, the king-star. Regulus means THE TREADING UNDERFOOT, and is the heart of Leo, which stands for Christ, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Then, on May 23, the Moon came close to Denebola, which means THE JUDGE OR LORD WHO COMES QUICKLY.
To top it all off, a new star was seen May 22 in the ship Argo, which means A COMPANY OF TRAVELERS. Furthermore the new star, named Nova Velorum, is in the Vela, which means SAILS, of the ship Argo. The new star is near the star Suhail, which I think must be the same as Bullinger's Soheil, which means THE DESIRED, and Aspidiske. If Aspidiske is the same as what Bullinger listed as Asmidiska, it means THE RELEASED WHO TRAVEL.
The Zodiac is so ancient, and known in all nations, they think that Enoch drew up the Zodiac to tell the gospel in the stars in the days before man had the written Word. It tells the story over and over of the struggle between the Seed of the Woman and Satan.
It looks like the Big Dipper represents the saints of the first Rapture and the Little Dipper the Tribulation saints. In ancient times, those two constellations were called the Greater Sheepfold and the Lesser Sheepfold.
I sure like the increasing sound of all this. A new star caused the wise men to travel 4 months to see the Christ child. Now we too have a new star. It seems that we don't have long to wait, no matter when it is, but if it was 4 months, it would be in September. I'm watching with interest to see how this all plays out.
We have had reports of water flowing at the temple site also. I am awaiting more confirmation, but if it is true, and water is to flow from it during the Millennium (Ezek. 47:1-12; Zech. 14:8,9; Rev. 22:1,2) and even heal the Dead Sea, how close we must be.
Hang in there, Marilyn. I'm praying for you and your family every night. He will come; I think soon. Lots of weird stuff happening around the world. I love checking in to your site everyday. So many are having great insights and such. I didn't have any exciting news info; I just wanted you to know I am praying for you. Respectfully, In Christ's Love
Oh, don't worry. I'm hanging in there. You know the story of the man who froze to death in a snowstorm? They found him just 20 feet from the cabin door. He gave up too soon.
I'm not about to give up. I am going to keep loving the Lord, studying my Bible, watching for signs, and staying alert to world events. These are such exciting times to live in. Even with the world going to pot around us, we have the chance of a lifetime to be part of the Rapture. Just think of all the generations gone by that did not have that chance. By the grace of God, we just happen to live when the Rapture is at hand and when the Lord may already be standing at the door watching us. I don't know just how long we have to wait, but I aim to be patient, stay strong, stay ready, and keep on watching till the Lord comes. I told someone that I am a perennial watcher.
"For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey: He hath taken a bag of money with him, and WILL COME home at the day APPOINTED" (Prov. 7:19). The Lord knows the day, and will come when the time is right. If I can figure out when, fine. If I can't, fine. It depends on him, not me. I just don't want to give up 20 feet from home.
Incoming Email Re: water at Temple mount, etc.
In the Arutz-7News May 26-30, 99, they said that there are reports that the Palestinians are taking advantage of the interim period before Barak takes over to make permanent changes to the mount, possibly building a fourth mosque.
"Arutz-7 continues to receive reports that water is miraculously flowing under the Temple Mount. No concrete proofs or disproofs of the claims have yet been submitted, however. According to the reports, the Arabs are very concerned about the water, which they believe portends well for the Jews, and have brought in special pumps and mounds of sand to deal with the "problem." Gershon Solomon, head of the Temple Mount Faithful, said, "I am quite convinced that there is water, though the Arabs are not allowing anyone to approach the site, and I have no way of proving it." The water was apparently caused by and discovered during Arab excavation works under the Temple Mount..."
Re: FOUR MORE MONTHS
Hi sweet sister. God is so good. He has enlightened your spirit for these end times. You have a great gift, and it is not to be spent in discouragement. Almost miracously, you have prepaid pe for 4 more months. That will be plenty of time to rest in the Lord, review the main scriptural discoveries you were led to and, respond to those whose E-mails which are of God, are sent to you for encouragement and edification. His coming is still as near as our mouth and close as our next heartbeat. How near is so great a salvation? As near as our confession. How close is He? Closer than a heartbeat. He is the NOW, with him there is no time. He is less than a twinkling of an eye away. He split the atom into a billion pieces and named them all. He divided time into a billion instants. He is the smallest and the largest, the beginning and the end of time and every infinite fraction of a second, and every fraction of time in between. He is our all-in-all. I believe he would have you continue on, But you must nourish your body, rest your mind and refill your spirit. I wish I could help, but I would be a hinderer except to help through prayer. You have put on the mind of Christ, and published as he said. He is coming. Maybe tonight, maybe next month, maybe on Sept. 11th. You have been a great encourager to all. You have rekindled the sagging spirits of many. Do not waste time with naysayers and critics. Keep sending out the Word of God. Could the Scripture of the Lord and the fruitless tree apply to the 4 months between Pentecost and Rosh Hoshanna? Or could he come next Pentecost? I am so much more at peace because of your Web-site. I have had to humble myself more and pray more and seek his will more than ever before. I believe He will come soon. I believe that he will take out his waiting, excited Bride, who expects him more with every heartbeat.
Just think how radically different it will be in heaven.
My reply Thanks for your kind words of encouragement. I intend to keep on keeping on. Nothing can dash my faith. I know the Lord, and I know he will come on time, whenever it is. I do not know how much, or how many phases, of testing we will have, but my aim is to make it through with flying colors. The race is longer than I expected, but this I know. The Lord promised that we would not have more tribulations than we could stand.
It doesn't always seem that we really have the strength to press on, but we do. I remember Moses. He thought having charge of so many people was too hard. The Lord said for him to gather seventy men. Then he told Moses, "I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them" (Nu. 11:17). I could just imagine the Lord smiling. We don't accomplish things for the Lord without his help in the first place. He said that without him we could do nothing. Then, it isn't how strong we are, but how strong he is. We can rest in him and watch him work things out through us. We just have to have a willing heart. Agape
Redemption is close!!!!
Dear Sister, It is June 1 in Australia. Marilyn, you are an inspiration to me and thousands of others. May the Lord continue to give you understanding, wisdom and the strength and courage to continue in your wonderful work. It won't be long dear one. Any ideas where we should be looking next? I don't like to think it will be another year but I keep thinking back to that earlier P & C where it was mentioned that when the virgins went out to meet the bridegroom they were already virgins, thus they must have already been through the twelve months of purification, it is after this that the Lord tarries. Maybe May 31st 1999, was the end of our year of purification. Now we just have to work ot how long the tarry is. The real sifting might start now, to see who the foolish virgins and who the wise virgins are, it must be more important than ever before to keep our oil full to the brim so we're not caught out like the foolish virgins. I get the feeling that this is all panning out like this for a reason. Maybe this is God's way of seeing whose foundations are built of more than just wood. At a time where more than ever before, we need to keep our lamps full, God has created a situation where many will question the promise of his coming and let their oil run dry. This is for everyone, keep looking up for you redemption draweth nigh. Heed these words more than you ever have before.
All my agape love to you, the one who inspires me to walk in the fullness of my God.
My reply I appreciate all your kind words. You can be sure that I will keep searching the scriptures for clues and watching world events. If I find things I did not know before, I will post them. Tomorrow, I will go back over the parable of the ten virgins and see if I can get any more out of it than I did the last time through. Tonight, I am too sleepy.
We have walked our stint at the mall three days straight. My leg muscles complained today. Ed did it better than I did. He uses the treadmill and foot bike at Cardiac Rehab while I study, so actually is doing better at it by the third day than I am. I can walk a lot faster than he can, but I wear out too. Neither one of us will ever be able to get back to walking our 2 miles 5 days a week like we used to. I need to get out my bicycle. I don't think I have ridden it but once since Ed's surgery. I'm getting out of shape while he is trying to get back in shape.
Oh, I almost forgot. On P and C 334, you will see some thoughts I had about watching on 17 Tamuz, July 1. It is the Fast of Tamuz, commemorating when Moses broke the stone tablets and the breaching of the walls of Jerusalem in 70 AD by Titus. I forgot that the 21 pieces of the Shoemaker-Levi Comet started bombarding Jupiter on July 16 and continued until July 22, 1994. July 17 was 9 Av, Tisha B'Av. July 23 was 15 Av, Tu Be-Av. That could turn out to be more significant now than we realized. Agape
