I had wondered if Israel declared Nisan this year by watching for the sliver of the Moon to reappear. Here is the answer.

"NEW MONTH TO BE ANNOUNCED TOMORROW
"...Prof. Hillel Weiss...said that the new moon will not be sanctified according to eye-witness testimony, as ideally mandated by the Biblical commandment, 'because we do not have a Sanhedrin [supreme Jewish tribunal], and also because the calendar itself is not 100% accurate.'"

..."KEYHOLE" nubula and "ETA CARINAE: a MYSTERY STAR" that is found in it...wondering if there is any significance? (a "key" so to speak?) Also see:

My reply

Why not? A door has a keyhole. I hope everyone looks at that picture of Eta Carinae. It is soooo gorgeous, almost like a flower. It is in our galaxy and is the brightest star in the known Universe. That should be significant aside from it being in the keel of the ship Argo. Next in brightness is Sirius, then Canopus (THE POSSESSION OF HIM WHO COMETH), also in Carina (THE KEEL).

I was reading the pro/con 339 where you state your reasons for a gap between the Rapture and the start of the Tribulation. It sounds to me as if you think that the temple will not even start to be rebuilt until after the Rapture. I am curious as to what your basis is for this reasoning?

I and a friend of mine enjoy your website very much and look forward to reading the updates. God bless you as you search the Scriptures and share with us what God has shown you in His Word. My prayer is that God reveals to you His heart. Thank you for your reply.

My reply

I really see no Scripture that indicates that construction can't be started now, but it hasn't been. The Jews have prepared many things getting ready, but the time has not yet come. They have not yet resolved the issue with the Moslems. When we got word of water running at the temple mount, I thought maybe that would trigger something. So far it hasn't, and we don't yet have concrete proof that it is running. I suspect that it is, and the Moslems are concealing it, but that could be wishful thinking. Each year, the Temple Mount Faithful try to lay the cornerstone, but the police prevent it. When the time is right, it will take place.

Note: See next entry about the water.

It could take place as in the days of Haggai. In Hag. 2:18, it says, "Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD'S temple was laid, consider it." Kislev 24 is Dec. 3 in 1999. That is the eve of Hannukah.

The other thing that comes to mind is that right now, the temple on Earth is made up of believers. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. We are believer priests. When we are gone, the Jews will probably take up the priesthood. The Jews will be approaching their Seventieth Week of Daniel. The 7-year covenant is likely to settle the Jerusalem issue so that sacrificing can begin again as Moses and Elijah begin their 1260-days of prophesying at the beginning of the Tribulation.

We just have to keep watching to see what develops. Things will take place on time. The Lord has complete control.

Re: WATER FLOWING FROM THE ROCK: A SIGN OF REDEMPTION
http://www.templemountfaithful.org/water.htm

My reply

Thanks a bunch. Here is the good news I found:
---
WATER FLOWING FROM THE ROCK: A SIGN OF REDEMPTION

One of the most exciting events over the last few days has been the news of the water flowing from the holy rock of Abraham and Isaac on the Temple Mount which was in the midst of the First and Second Temples.

According to what we now know, the water is definitely flowing from under the rock. The Arabs on the Temple Mount deny this and have tried to stop the flow by many means but have not succeeded. What we now know is that they are trying to bring in special pumps to stop the flow. In any case, the water continues to flow. Nothing can stop it.

This special news has caused much excitement in Israel. Since the destruction of the Second Temple the Jewish People have anticipated this event with great desire and prayers because we always knew that this would be one of the signs of the last days and the redemption of Israel and that the Third Temple is soon to be built and Mashiach ben David is soon to come. Now, at the climax of the major redemptional process of Israel when everyone in Israel can see and hear for themselves how close we are to the accomplishment of this great prophetic godly event, this major godly event has occurred before our very eyes. It cannot be stopped even though the enemy on the Temple Mount is trying to do so. This event will show everyone in the world who is trying to stop G-d's determination to redeem the people of Israel, to cancel the last signs of pagan, foreign presence on the Temple Mount, the holy hill of G-d, and any foreign occupation in the land which G-d promised to Israel alone in an eternal covenant. We are expecting more major godly events and redemptional miracles with the people and land of Israel....

The water which is now coming from the holy rock on the Temple Mount is again bringing a testimony from G-d about this scenario of the redemption of the people and land of Israel, the rebuilding of the Temple and the coming of Mashiach ben David. These are great days and, at the same time, very critical days. Everyone who loves the G-d of Israel, trusts and worships Him, should be strong and walk together with the G-d of Israel and not fear anyone, only trust Him and they will have the privilege of seeing the accomplishment of this wonderful godly process of the redemption of Israel and all the world.

Power on high (Jim Bramlett)
...An in-flight emergency developed just 2-3 minutes after we took off from Orlando on May 29 on our way to Salt Lake City enroute to L.A. Shortly after takeoff the captain announced a mechanical problem -- the right landing gear would not retract. He turned around and wanted to land back in Orlando but could not due to a full fuel load, so he decided to divert into Atlanta. He flew low with the wheels down in order to burn maximum fuel.

The captain instructed told us the landing in Atlanta would still be "heavy" due to fuel, that the brakes might catch fire and that fire trucks would be waiting. Not only were they still going to have to land heavy with all the extra fuel, but they were not sure the landing gear would be fully down and locked, which means it could have collapsed on landing, with drastic consequences. We had to practice getting in the crash position and we were briefed on using the inflatable escape chutes.

The air was very tense. I sat next to a middle-aged man, and his wife was on the other side of him. I noticed that she nervously grabbed her husband's hand and was in tears with fear.

I pondered the whole situation for a moment, then faith leaped in my spirit. I suddenly felt led by the "Force" (Spirit) within me and I reached my hand over and softly put it on top of the lady's hand. I said, "Ma'am, you are blessed that I am on this flight, because God has assured me that I am going to get to Los Angeles, so everything is going to be okay. He gives his angels charge over me, so they will take care of us."

She calmed immediately. I witnessed to the couple and told them some stories about angel encounters. I discovered they were believers, but probably nominal and like most Christians knew nothing of God's power and promises. Their faith and confidence began to rise (and will never be the same!).

Before we got to Atlanta I stepped into the lavatory, and before coming out I held up my hands and declared out loud, "Jesus is lord over this flight. Thank you, Jesus, for your angels and for a safe landing." By this confession, I wanted every angel in heaven and every devil in hell to know Who was in charge over this flight -- Jesus, who has ALL power!

Then with incredible timing, just moments after this confession and returning to my seat, the captain surprisingly came on the speaker and announced that everything was now okay and the landing in Atlanta would be a normal one! That was a sudden and strange turn of events, just after my declaration! There was no explanation given for the sudden turn of events (but I knew!).

The couple immediately recognized the hand of God and gleefully grabbed my hand, thanking me for my angels. I said not to thank me but the Lord. Full of joy and relief, the lady said, "I wish you were on our next flight."

I said, "It's not necessary. You can do the same thing. The Bible says that God is no respecter of persons." The couple had a dramatic new awareness of God's power. I had a fresh reminder that God's power and promises are often actuated and activated by our faith and confession.

The landing was normal and smooth. The passengers clapped and lauded the crew, as if they had done it. But at least two people on the airplane besides me knew who really deserved the credit. To Him be all the glory!

me being a gentile, in matt.10;5-6 Jesus told his 12 don't go to the gentiles. also he tells them to go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel (Jews) so how can we as gentiles be saved

My reply

Matthew was written mainly to the Jews. The gospel went first to the Jews, then to the Samaritans, and later to the Gentiles. Paul was the apostle to the Gentiles. All people are saved by accepting Christ as their own personal Saviour.

Rom. 10:9,10 says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Is the beast/great harlot mentioned in Rev. 17:3 the same beast as the beast/antichrist mentioned in Rev. 20:10?

If they are different, there might be a person now on the world scene that fulfills the Rev. 17:3 prophecy....

My reply

The two beasts of Rev. 13 and 20:10 are head #6 and head #7 of the "scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns" of Rev. 17:3. When the Rapture takes place, "one is, and the other is not yet come" (17:10). Therefore, the one who "is" may already be in office, but he may not be, either. This Pope thinks the next Pope will be the Tribulation Pope, and he may be right. I don't know.

Today, I had the New Scofield Reference Bible with me while I waited for Ed at Cardiac Rehab. In Song of Sol. 3:1, the Shulamite says of him whom her soul loveth, "I SOUGHT him, but I found him NOT." Verse 2 says, "I SOUGHT him, but I found him NOT." That made me think of Pentecost 1998 and 1999. Then look what verse 4 says, "It was but a LITTLE WHILE that I passed from them, but I FOUND HIM."

Back in chapter 2:8,9 her beloved "cometh," but he stands behind the wall and looks through the windows. That reminds me of the judge standing at the door. It is as if he is observing and judging. Once that phase is complete, it seems to be when he will speak and say, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away" (Song of Sol. 2:10).

James 5:7-9 says, "Be patient therefore, brethren, unto THE COMING of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early (rain of Tishri) and latter rain (of Nisan). Be ye also patient, establish your hearts; for THE COMING OF THE LORD DRAWETH NEAR. Murmur not one against another, brethren, lest ye be judged; behold, the judge standeth before the door."

After the latter rains of Nisan "THE COMING OF THE LORD DRAWETH NEAR." That agrees with Song of Sol. 2:11 "For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone." Doesn't the latter rain tie the two passages together?

I was wondering if "the days of Noah" could have two meanings:

The obvious one, that some unbelievers will continue to go about their lives oblivious to the great events about to take place around them, and

Reference to the remarkable new astronomical events occuring in Argo, the ship.

My reply

What an interesting thought. One thing seems obvious, Argo does represent the Ark, and both stand for the Saviour. The Ark saved Noah, and Argo has the face of a man just above the waterline on the prow and a ram's head up top. If we are in Christ, we are as if part of the Argo (company of travellers). As in the days of Noah and the Ark seems very much the same as in the days of Argo the ship. The plot thickens.

All the clues say that he is near. The only question that remains unanswered is HOW near.

I was just looking at II Thess. 2:6-8 in the Concordant Version. It sounds strange because of their using one word to translate one word as much as possible, but it sure is clearer than the KJV's Old English. It says, "And now you are aware what is detaining, for him (the Wicked one) to be UNVEILED IN HIS OWN ERA. For the secret of lawlessness is already operating. Only when the present detainer may be coming to be out of the midst, then will be UNVEILED the lawless one."

So many seem to shut their eyes to what this is telling us. The Holy Spirit is the detainer. He will come out of the midst at the Rapture. Then the lawless one will be unveiled in "his own era." His era is not our era. His era is the Tribulation, and it follows our era.

I love to check your site for the daily email from around the world. I've noticed that hardly anyone is addressing the coming Y2K problem. What is your position on this? I've read a lot about it from secular sources as I'm sure you have. A few months ago during Bible study, I found a familar passage that should give every Christian comfort. In Luke 17:26-31 are the words of our Lord stating that "....as in the days of Noah so shall it be at the coming of the Son of man....they were eating, drinking, planting, building, buying, selling...." ect.!!!!! It sounds like life is going on as normal at the catching away of the Firstfruit Believers! What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks for all your hard work and precious time that you devote to the Lord. I read the critics state that you shouldn't set dates but I agree 100% that we are to watch and pray to be accounted worthy! And that's exactly what you are doing! God bless you!

My reply

Thanks. I aim to keep watching eagerly. It is a fantastic time to be alive.

However, Y2K is a dark cloud on the horizon. I think there will be some Y2K troubles. Life will still go on, but fear alone could cause the stock market to crash. If Social Security and Military Retirement checks are delayed, some will be destitute. We would be sunk without our Social Security checks. I don't want them paid on a smart card, either, as is now being done for some in the Military. Y2K problems may be the catalyst that will propel this world into the world government and its cashless society. Lu. 21:25 mentions, "distress of nations, with perplexity."

I hope the Lord comes first, but if not, he will see us through whatever we have to face. We just have to trust him for everything. He won't let us down, and has promised not to allow us to be tested beyond what we can stand. It may not be easy, but we will get through somehow. Knowing that His coming is near should keep the wind in our sails.

Just read your latest P& C 339. There is a reference to James 5 verse 9. Can you tell me is it door or doors? My KJV says door. You quote doors?

Hope you and Ed are well and that your spasms are easing now. I think in our suffering we are enabled to identify with Christ more and our capacity to intercede for others is blessed and increased by Our Father. I think that is why we do suffer at times when at other times we are healed or protected. We know that we will leave behind all our pain when Christ gives us our new bodies.

An interesting thought in Rev 7: 14 - 17 it talks of the Tribulation Saints, they have to be lead to the Fountain of Waters (the Holy Spirit?) for healing and God himself wipes the tears away from their eyes. No doubt the things they suffer in the Tribulation hurt them greatly and they have need of His healing. Also many are saved simply by calling on His name so they are not indwelt by the Holy Spirit. We are spared that because we are faithful. There is no mention of sadness or pain for the Bride I think. You have opened up the Bible to me so much Marilynn. You have unlocked the door to my understanding so that I can now read and discover the hidden Truths myself. I am astounded - they are so clear and so many, they are everywhere in the Bible, in every Book. I wish now that I had read my Bibles even more than I have..so much wasted time.

I cannot ever thank you enough for that wonderful gift. I have always loved the Word since I gave my life to Jesus 25 years ago as a young girl of 15. I have ached to understand Gods Word more but struggled over the years. Marrying young and having children prevented me, like you from going to University and learning the things I wanted to. God has taught you all these things so that you can share them with many not so well educated as yourself or so faithful. We have bypassed all the hours of learning and studying. And the sleepless nights and days when you must have been too tired to do your housework....which is always waiting to be done. I'm sure you have a million hugs coming from your brothers and sisters in Christ. Look for me in the queue!! Much Love

My reply

The Concordant Version has "doors," but Green's Interlinear has "door." I'd trust Green.

> Hope you and Ed are well and that your spasms are easing now.

Ed is well. I have nerve and muscular spasm problems that may have no remedy. A few years back, I fell when I had pheumonia and fainted, sat down with dead weight on the base of my spine. I had a vision of an intense ball of light bursting at the base of my spine. That and the pain brought me to in a hurry. Have had back problems ever since, and this is aside from the muscle spasms I have had since High School days. After we were rear-ended in the car last September, I have pain that seems to follow nerves out of my lower back, over my hips, down the outside of my legs and into my feet. Since I do not want surgery, there may be nothing anyone can do about that. It hurts terribly when I get up each day. I have to use an ice pack on my back, but my feet, especially my right foot and half way up the outside of my leg, stays kinda numb with the muscles tight and ever ready to pull into a cramp. This morning, my left leg cramped just below my knee as I woke up. I took some pills and put a hot pack under my leg as soon as I warmed it in the microwave and hobbled back to bed. That eased the cramp and I went back to sleep for awhile. When I got up again, the nerve pain was unabated, so I used the ice pack as I sat down at my computer. I am much more comfortable sitting or walking than lying down. Even if I take a short nap, I wake up in pain just as if I had slept all night. I keep saying I wish I didn't have to sleep at all. I'm better off moving around.

> God himself wipes the tears away from their eyes.

Look at Rev. 6:12f. No wonder they are crying. They are snatched out of here after some rocks have already started to fall. Instead of being out of the frying pan into the fire, as the saying goes, they are snatched out of the fiery furnace into Heaven. If they hadn't cried yet, I think they would burst into tears of relief at being caught away at the last minute, so to speak.

> many are saved simply by calling on His name so they are not indwelt by the Holy Spirit.

I think that if they are saved, they are indwelt by the Holy Spirit.

As for housework, even though I studied till 2:00 or 3:00 AM, I just about ran to get my work done so I could study more before the kids got home from school. I kept up. I don't do as well now, though.

just a mindless bit of trivia but my birthday is June 20th. Wouldn't it be neat if it was the rapture day!!! Also I'll be forty then. A close Christian friend is also 40 this year.....I wonder if it is significant as Jesus too will be 40 I think at the Wedding of the Bride. (Thirty three and a half - time stops until the Tribulation starts again = 40. Is that correct)? I wonder how many more forty year olds are out there waiting to be raptured. Not important but it appeals to my sense of romance. Love

My reply

Yes, the 40 fits, roughly 33 + 7. Isaac was also married at 40.

I was thrilled on my 40th. Ed ordered me an electric typewriter, not realizing that it was a model 40 (Olympia). My mom sent me $40, a once-in-a-lifetime thing for her to do. The typewriter was to come the following week. I guess I looked funny so Ed said, "You think it will come on your birthday, don't you?" I smiled and nodded, and to his amazement, it did.

Incoming Email

I can't seem to find the reasoning in your P/Cs for 6/20 being a possible date for the rapture. Is is just because it is the last day of Spring? I hope we won't have to wait until Pentecost 2000.

We are taking a son and daughter to the Grand Canyon 6/17-24. I enjoyed it so much the last time I was there and I wanted to share it with them. But the best thing about that trip a few years ago was stopping in to see you in Riverside. I still remember how much I enjoyed being with you and Ed. I, like so many others, just want to thank you for all the information you have provided these past months. I know in my heart that the time is drawing closer for us to see our Glorious Lord. Will we hear a trumpet sound before we are lifted up? Will the non-saved hear it also? I can hardly wait! Love in Christ

My reply

Go to: http://www.frontiernet.net/labomb32/calendar.html

Ivan Labambarbe figured out "The calendar from the Hebrew Scriptures" by going by the astronomical dark moon (New Moon), not the first sliver sighted, and making sure that Nisan was in the spring, not part winter and part spring. Last year, Pentecost came out May 31, this year June 20, next year June 11. He says that Nisan should be spring because God said that he had appointed the moon for seasons (Psa. 104:19), and figuring the calendar should start with Nisan, not Tishri. He says the Sacred Calendar should start with Nisan and be the first New Moon after the Spring Equinox. Leap years would not be set. They would just happen in years like this when Nisan would have to be put off to keep it from being partly in winter. Months would not have a certain number of days. That too would just be whenever the next New Moon came around.

I am still trying to figure out if he is right or not. I have emailed him, but still have no answer. I need his calendar for 2001-2008 so I can count actual days before I make up my mind. On the Talmudic calendar, there are 2300 days (Dan. 8:14) between the Feast of Weeks (Sivan 6) in 2001 to the Feast of Trumpets (Tishri 1) in 2007, by inclusive reckoning. I need to know if 5768 is a leap year in his plan. That is important for there are seven months between Tishri 1 and the following Nisan 1.

I will be watching June 20, but am not certain whether that is the true Biblical Pentecost or not. I'm not ready to throw out the Talmudic calendar until I know more about his calendar.

Even the scripture that says no man knows the day and hour does not say we won't know the year, month, and week. Jesus said he had foretold us all things. The month and day of the month is there for the Second Advent (Ezek. 29:17,21). The year can be figured from other clues.

More information is there about the Rapture. We just have to watch and keep studying the scriptures. Noah knew 7 days before it started to rain. We will understand more competely when the time is ripe.

Have a wonderful trip. We saw the Grand Canyon from the north rim in a sprinkling rain, so the colors were not as pretty as in pictures made in sunlight. Even so, it is a grand sight. We certainly enjoyed our visit with you both.

We will hear the trumpet sound. I don't know if nonbelievers will hear it though.

Incoming Email

At the rapture, will we take our physical bodies with us? (Will those left behind perceive those raptured as "vanished bodies" or as "dead bodies"?)

Either way, what an incredible upheaval it will cause!

My reply

Enoch was not for God took him. Elijah went up and only dropped his mantle. I don't expect dead bodies to be left.
I do think the first Rapture will be seen. Psalm 40:1-3 says, "I WAITED patiently for the LORD; and he inclined (bent down) unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit (out of the Earth), out of the miry clay (our bodies of clay), and set my feet upon a rock (the heavenly planet), and established my goings. And he hath put a new song (sung after the Rapture in Revelation 5:9) in my mouth, even praise unto our God: MANY SHALL SEE IT, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD."

Concerning being brought up out of the pit. Jeremiah was brought up out of a pit with old rags under the ropes. Our righteousnesses are as dirty rags compared to the Lord's righteousness imputed to us, but the rags were still used for Jeremiah to be brought out of the pit wherein was no water, only mire. By grace, we are saved by faith, but we are also "created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them" (Eph. 2:10).

Enoch was translated, but before that, "he had this testimony, that he pleased God" (Heb. 11:5). We too, should be sure that we please God.
