Incoming Email One final clue to the date of the Natzal (Rapture). When Abraham was going to sacrifice Isaac to God the left horn of the ram was caught in the thicket. The left horn was the first trump and the right horn is the last trump. The first trump was blown at Pentecost at Mt. Sinai. The right horn (shofar) is the last trump and will be blown on Rosh Hashanah at the resurrection of the dead and rapture of the believers (1st Thessalonians 4:16). Maranatha
My reply I Cor. 10:11 says, "Now all these things happened unto them (Israel) for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition upon whom the ends of the world (ages) are come."
There are two wave loaves baked with leaven (heat kills the leaven) to be offered at Pentecost. Therefore, there may be two fulfilments of Pentecost for the church. The first was when the Holy Spirit came to indwell believers in 30 AD. The second may be the Pre-Trib Rapture. Pentecost/Feast of Weeks was the time of wheat harvest when they were to GO UP TO JERUSALEM.
In Nu. 10:4, there are two silver assembly trumpets. "And if they blow but with ONE TRUMPET, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee." This represents the FIRST TRUMP, heard in I Thess. 4:16. As in Rev. 4:4, the elders are seen in Heaven right after the Pre-Trib Rapture. They are the 12 patriarchs and the 12 apostles, "which are heads of the thousands of Israel." As at Sinai, I think the first trump sounds at Pentecost.
Nu. 10:3 says, "And when they shall blow with them (plural, i.e., at the last trump), ALL the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation."
The last trump is when "ALL shall be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST TRUMP" (I Cor. 15:51,52). This is the Pre-Wrath Rapture on Rosh HaShanah, the Feast of Trumpets that begins the millennial Day of the Lord.
The first is as the days of Noah. There was no fire, and they were "given in marriage." Everyone on the Ark was married. The second is as the days of Lot. Fire falls that same day, and no marriage is mentioned (Lu. 17:26-29). They barely make it out of Sodom before the catastrophe destroys the cities of the plains.
I Thess. 4:13-18 belongs with the first trump, the days of Noah, and the Pre-Trib Rapture. It takes place before the first seal is broken. I Cor. 15:51,52 belongs with the "last trump," the days of Lot, and the Pre-Wrath Rapture. It takes place between the breaking of the sixth and seventh seals. The first trump is Pentecost. The last trump is Rosh HaShanah, the Feast of Trumpets. This "last trump" to call the assembly sounds on the same day, but before the seven trumpet judgments fall on Earth at noon (Zeph. 2:4,5; Eze. 25:16; Job 20:23). Agape
Incoming Email (From Hawaii)I recently found your two books and thought how interesting, so far, after reading both I agree to some extent in your calculations, however, giving a endtime date is, to me too risky. I also have been very interested in Revelations and Ezekiel's vision for about 20 years. My thoughts on the cherubim is close to your beliefs.
I'm a lay person with no scholarly degrees, my interest is strictly for the love of God and the desire to know Him by any means possible to me. Thank you so much for increasing my knowledge. Sincerely
My reply Thanks for telling me. It is so nice to hear from you. It makes me think of our wonderful trip to attend a convention in Hawaii. Our daylong drive around the Big Island was the highlight of our trip. We saw a bit of rain, rainbows, lava tubes, volcano.
Dates are risky, but I saw a rectangle of light on Jer. 50:2 that said publish and conceal not.
I don't have degrees, either. I was headed for college when I met my husband, Ed. We married and lived in a trailer on campus at Univ. of Tennessee. I worked in the Univ. Bookstore and earned what we call a PHT, pushed husband through, instead of attending classes.
We moved from Oak Ridge, TN, to California in 1955 and bought a house in La Mirada. Not too long after that, BIOLA (Bible Inst. of Los Angeles) built their La Mirada Campus. Then it was my turn to study. I used their library constantly as I studied the Bible.
Her replyRe: Endtimes
Thank heaven for you PHT. Seems God had work for the both of you. Your husbands pursuit for higher learning has blessed your readers as well as given you the energy to pore through the library -- driven to find an easier way to explain the Lord's coming.
Never being able to leave the island of Oahu I rely on authors like yourself to help me in my search. I'm amazed at the amount of research -- its truly heaven sent. Your 2 books (Heaven Found & Revelations 2000) have so much information its prophetic in a way. I skimmed thru the pages & now will scrutinize every word to try to capture your vision.
My interest lies w the cherubim & agree w you: the chariot of the cherubim has something to do w the Day of God's Wrath. Fifteen yrs ago I had a dream, in it I was ill & sought a doctor. He gave me a prescription, I picked it up, on it was the name 'Zophiel'. It took several yrs before I found the name in an angel dictionary. He is according to the dictionary a cherubim. Only recently I finally concluded that the cherubim and the chariot were more than beings -- I surmized the whirlwind to be a tornado as the wheels of fire came down to earth. After reading your planetary reasoning I agree w the orbit, but still need more time studying.
Again, I thank you and truly believe you're understanding has God's hands guiding you. Yours Truly
My reply I have truly felt driven. I feel like I have studied one subject or another almost my entire life. I have a built-in curiosity. I want to know. I learn everything I can about each subject I get interested in. I still have library cards in several cities.
It may be a bit different than you might imagine. From a least third grade on, I was an avid reader. While in elementary school, I would exhaust our school library, and my dad, the principal, would order a carton of books for me from Indianapolis. He was also principal the first year I was in Jr. High. He taught my General Science class too. I never worked so hard in a class in my life. He would call on everyone else first, but if no one else knew the answer, I'd better know it. He didn't want anyone saying I got an A because my dad was the teacher.
We moved frequently for Dad was always trying to make more money. He'd go to college during the summers, and move up the ladder about every two years. Even so, we barely made it. One year, I had no coat, only a jacket to wear in the snow. That may be the same year I only had one skirt. In Indiana, in those days, teachers always had a job, but they were not paid very well.
I can't remember how many libraries I exhausted, but several. That and Dad's teaching me to outline to study stood me in good stead later. By the time I got interested in the Bible, I was already in the habit of writing "books" to myself. It was not hard to start writing for someone else as well. My first book was Exit: 2007: The Secret of Secrets Revealed. It got written seven times and took 23 years to finish. It was a learning process all along the way. My daughter thought Mom would always be writing a book--never finishing. She was so happy when it really was launched.
In the summer before I entered eighth grade, Dad took training and became a Safety Engineer at Ordinance plants making explosives for WW II. He got transferred from Vigo Ordinance at Terre Haute, Indiana to Holston Ordinance at Kingsport, Tennessee.
That is where I met my husband after he was discharged from the Army after the war was over. He went to college on the GI Bill. Even with my working at the Univ. Bookstore, we barely made it financially. Had no money for fresh food the latter part of each month. Ate canned goods. We could not do without my pay check as long as he was in school.
However, we can see the Lord's hand in all this. I was well prepared to study HARD when we moved to La Mirada and they built BIOLA College within bike-riding distance. At that time, Ed was the one working, and I stayed home to raise two kids. I would almost run to do my work so I could get back to studying while the kids were in school. After they got home, there was no chance. Ours was the house where all the neighborhood kids gathered. We encouraged it, for that way I knew what they were doing. We got a 28' x 4' Doughboy pool and spent the winter digging it halfway into the ground. We built a deck around the exposed part. I had to supervise the play and keep the pool clean. After the kids got older, I drove a bunch of kids in the camper to the beach about four days a week during the summer. I did read while they played.
I got in the habit of studying into the wee hours after the kids had gone to sleep. I still stay up way too late, but I can't leave the Bible alone. It got hold of me and won't let go. I have always felt like I was working a puzzle. Piece by piece, the picture gets clearer and clearer all the time. When we ask the Lord to help us understand, he doesn't pour it all on us at once, but little by little, piece by piece, as we apply ourselves to studying his Word.
I studied into the night. After Ed and I bought Spring Crest Draperies, we worked most nights till 11 PM. I still came home and worked on my book till 3:00 AM.
Now, it is answering email that keeps me up late. Agape
Incoming EmailI believe we have been in the last days (two days) for the last two thousand years (one day as a thousand years) and that we are in the last of the last days. I also believe that The Feast of Pentecost is a period of about 2000 years long which began almost 2000 years ago and will soon be complete bringing us into the Harvest of Firstfruits. The prophecy in Joel were the Spirit of God is being poured out on all flesh and the Prophecy in Amos concerning the restoration of David's Tabernacle will also be completely fulfilled during this same period. We see this with the measurements of the Holy Place being 10x10x20= an area of 2000.
I see this as the pre trib rapture that you refer to. I believe however that it will take more than just confessing one's sins to be ready. To be of the firstfruits of wheat and to come to maturity one will have to be seeking the Lord and appropriating the grace of God that is available to us and also be ready to receive the greater grace that will be available at the unveiling of Christ at the end of this Age.
I find the subject of the former and latter rains a bit confusing. The Harvest at the Feast of Tabernacle is the time of the main Harvest or ingathering but it is not the time for the release of the most rainfall. In the agricultural season it appears to me that most of the rain is released during the Feast of Pentecost. You refer to the former rain beginning at the first advent of Jesus and the later rain at the second coming. It appears to me the latter rain began to be poured out at the feast of Pentecost in the upper room and the last of the later rain will be poured out at the end of the Feast of Pentecost bring the firstfruits to maturity and than the main Harvest to maturity during The Feast of Tabernacles.
It appears that either the former rain was released at the time of the birth of Christ during the Feast of Tabernacles with the release of the latter rain in the upper room bring both the firstfruits and the main harvest to maturity in their season. Or the latter rain was released first at the Feast of Pentecost and the former rain will be released latter during the Feast of Tabernacles. God Bless
My reply > I believe we have been in the last days (two days) for the last two thousand
> years (one day as a thousand years) and that we are in the last of the last days.
I figure it this way. There are seven 1000-year days. Four of them were up when the wise men visited the Christ child in BC 3, when he was around two years old. That leaves three more great days out of the seven. BC 3 was past the middle mark. Therefore, we entered the last days in BC 3. The great 2000-year ages began BC 4003/04 (beginning of the Age of the Gentiles), BC 2003/04 (beginning of the Age of the Jews), and BC 03/04 (beginning of the Age of the Church).
BC 03/04 was the Jewish 3758. That year + 2000 = 5758 (our 1997/98). The year 5758 was the beginning of the THIRD DAY. 5758 means the season of Noah; 58 spells Noah. That year seems to have been the beginning of the four years preceding the Tribulation (Lu. 13:6-9). In that parable, Jesus comes LOOKING for fruit on the fig tree the first two years. He COMES and SPEAKS in the THIRD YEAR. He neither comes nor speaks in the extra year. It seems that the Rapture will be in the third year, 5760 (2000). The gap between the Rapture and the Tribulation seems to be the extra year to dig about and dung the fig tree. This probably prepares them to confirm the 7-year covenant on the Feast of Weeks in 5761 (2001).
We are the Body of Christ. John 2:19,21 says, "Destroy this temple, and in THREE DAYS I WILL RAISE IT UP...HE SPAKE OF THE TEMPLE OF THIS BODY. If the Rapture takes place next Pentecost, it will be in the third great day of the "last days."
Ex. 19:10,11: "Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, And be ready against the THIRD DAY: for the THIRD DAY THE LORD WILL COME DOWN."
Joshua 1:11: within THREE DAYS ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to posses the land, which the LORD your God giveth you."
John 2:1,2: "AND the THIRD DAY THERE WAS A MARRIAGE IN CANA OF GALILEE (circle, symbol of the heavenly sphere); and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was CALLED, AND HIS DISCIPLES, TO THE MARRIAGE."
Lu. 12:37,38: "Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. And if he shall come in the second watch, or COME IN THE THIRD WATCH and find them so, blessed are those servants."
> The prophecy in Joel were the Spirit of God is being poured out on all flesh
That comes after the Second Coming. Joel 2:27,28 says, "And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God...And it shall come to pass AFTERWARD, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh."
> I find the subject of the former and latter rains a bit confusing.
First of all, De. 11:14 says, "I will give you the rain of your land (Israel) in HIS DUE SEASON, the first (or former) rain and the latter rain. The rainy season in Israel starts with Tishri and ends with Nisan. Christ came the first time as the former rain on Tishri 1. He will return as the latter rain on Nisan 1, the first day of the Regnal and Sacred Years.
Hos. 6:3: "the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning: and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth."
Ezek. 29:17,21: "in the first month, in the first day of the month...In that day will I cause the horn (king) of the house of Israel to bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth (Logos, Word) in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD."
> The Harvest at the Feast of Tabernacle is the time of the main Harvest
I think that is for those Israelites who are born in a day (Isa. 66:8) on the Feast of Trumpets in 2007. They will repent and be accepted on the Day of Atonement and celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles with joy. They will HAVE to live in booths, because of the worldwide earthquake on Trumpets. Every wall will fall (Ezek. 38:20). They will live on Earth during the Millennium.
> most of the rain is released during the Feast of Pentecost.
It does not rain between Nisan and Tishri.
Incoming Email I bumped into your site across the Web.
I have been doing research in the area of Daniel and the 70 Weeks and figuring out some of the dating problems.
I have done logical research and found most calendars lacking. From a scriptural standpoint I see no other option than to accept that Cyrus the Great issued the decree in his first year. This is further backed up by the prophesy in Isaiah 44 & 45 about Cyrus and his "Rebuilding the foundations of the temple." Which was done right after his decree. So this whole ArtaXerxes 445 BC to the crucifixion of Christ is a bunch of baloney, just like it looks. God would not make it this hard.
I think that you agree as well that Cyrus is the starting point of this decree. Where I am in slight disagreement with you is the end point. "Until the Anointed one the ruler comes" I believe is not talking about anything other than the birth of Christ. He was the Messiah, the Anointed One when he was born, for that is what Messiah means. So when he comes, it is at birth, not baptism, or riding into Jerusalem on a donkey. Have you ever considered this in your dating methods? I would like to know your thoughts.
Also, I am trying to figure out why the 69 sevens are broken into two parts. If the last seven can be considered separated by several thousand years, then there could be some logical separation between the other two as well. Suggested events are the completion of the temple, completion of the city, completion of OT cannon. I tend to think God knew what kind of calendar the world would impose on his scripture and I think he's got it covered, we just have to figure it out. I think the most impressive prophesy would be the one that upholds their Ptolemy calendar while still upholding the prophesy.
My reply > So this whole ArtaXerxes 445 BC to the crucifixion of Christ is a bunch of baloney
I agree with you. I think Ptolemy was wrong. He was not a contemporary, either. Please don't base everything on that. See if you can get hold of Martin Anstey's "Romance of Bible Chronology (London: Marshall Bros., 1913, Vol. I and II; I is the explanation, II is his chart)." You may have to get it on Interlibrary loan. BIOLA Univ., La Mirada, CA, has it, but it is on Reserve. They might not loan it. I had to read it in the library. Anstey found Ptolemy's chronology was wrong by 82 years. His mistake was in the time of the Persian kings. Anstey determined that the decree of Cyrus was in BC 454 (536 - 82 = 454).
If you can't get it, try David L. Cooper's "Messiah: His First Coming Scheduled (Los Angeles: Biblical Research Society, 1939). He checked Anstey's work. Found a few minor mistakes, but nothing that effected the final outcome. He agreed with Anstey.
Daniel 9's 483 yrs - BC 454 = 29 + 1 (because there is no zero year between BC 1 and AD 1) = 30 AD, the year of the Crucifixion.
> Also, I am trying to figure out why the 69 sevens are broken into two parts.
We have already had one strange thing happen that could tie in with 7 weeks of years. On Jan. 23, 1950, the Knesset restored Jerusalem as capital of Israel. Forty-nine years later, the largest ever gamma-ray burst of light took place in the heavens on Jan. 23, 1999. It may have been a sign. It was the most violent thing ever seen in the Universe, so huge that it is being called the Second Big Bang. and it was in the spear of Bootes. Bootes is from the Heb. "bo," to come. Arcturus, a star in the constellation Bootes, means "he comes."
Keep your eyes and ears open. Jesus said, "Watch."
Incoming Email First thank you for your prayers. I am also honored that you would take some of your precious time to pray for our son and that you would answer my emails. I know that you are a busy lady and involved in God's work and I feel almost selfish asking for any of your time - but I really do appreciate any time you are able to spare. I just know that you are going to have many stars in your crown for your devotion and good works for the Lord. You deserve them. I also believe that there is power in prayer and with many praying that it changes things as long as it is in God's plan and will....
(Concerning a certain diet) One thing I found interesting was when Rev. Malkmus was asked why did he think God permitted the eating of meat after the flood and his answer was that when God saw how corrupt that mankind had become from creation to the flood, that he permitted that so that they wouldn't live so long. He admitted that it was a theory only but joked that was the only reason he could think of since our bodies weren't created to ingest meats and cooked foods. Who knows? I suppose it could be.
Anyway with the Rapture so near, I am attempting to concentrate on my spiritual life more than my physical life...
May God continue to bless you and Ed and keep you under His protective wing. Hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer for our new bodies and to be with the Lord. That is the ultimate goal. In His love
My reply The life span was cut at the flood, but it was also cut more until king David's time. I think that God adjusted the life span to fit the population growth.
Maybe meats and cooked foods were used before the flood. How can our bodies "ingest meats and cooked foods" now if they were not created to be able to do that in the first place. Our bodies do not have the right enzymes to break down cellulose. Cooking some foods makes the cell walls break down so we can assimilate it better. Carrots are like this. Our bodies do make enzymes to digest meat. How did they learn to do that? I think that God did not want to immediately cause extinction of certain animals. He wanted the animals to multiply some before becoming food for humans. However, man might not have waited 1657 years to eat meat and cooked food, either.
Abel "was a keeper of sheep." I suspect that they might have been used for food as well as skins. Noah was told, "Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens...and of beasts that are not clean by two" (Gen. 7:2). How did Noah know which was clean or unclean? Had the clean ones been used for sacrifices and food before the flood? There are a lot of things about those days that we are not told.
The Lord taught man in those early days. He talked with Adam every day, "in the cool of the day" (Gen. 3:8). Adam dressed (tilled) the garden. By the time of Cain and Abel, "Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground" (Gen. 4:2). Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and "builded a city" (Gen. 4:17). His descendant Jabal was of such as have cattle" (Gen. 4:20), probably for meat, milk and leather.
His brother Jubal "was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ" (lit., pipe) (Gen. 4:21). Tubalcain was "an instructor of every artificer (craftman) in brass (bronze) and iron" (Gen. 4:22). They obviously used fire to forge metals before the flood. They could have cooked food too.
After the flood, Noah offered "BURNT-OFFERINGS" (Gen. 8:20). He must have had fire in the Ark for light. He too could have cooked. After the flood, "EVERY moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things" (Gen. 9:3). Could they eat only clean animals before the flood and every moving thing afterward? There is a difference--and a lot of unanswered questions. But, all in all, civilization was pretty advanced before the flood.
Later: While I waited for Ed at Cardiac Rehab, I looked through the early chapters in Genesis again. I noticed that both Noah and Enoch "walked with God" (5:24;6:9). That is what we must do to go in the Rapture.
Another thing I had noticed before, really stood out today. Noah sent out the dove when the world was covered with water (Gen. 8:8). Both the dove and water represent the Holy Spirit, which is also called the Spirit of Christ. The dove LOOKED, the water covered the Earth, and she returned. After "yet other seven days" (8:10), he sent the dove out again. She LOOKED and returned again, this time with an olive leaf, symbol of peace. The water had receded some. After "yet other seven days," he sent the dove out again, "which returned not again unto him any more" (8:12). She flew away, up into the sky.
Now think about how well this ties in with the parable of the barren fig tree in Lu. 13:7-9. Christ comes LOOKING in the first year, LOOKING in the second year, and then comes and SPEAKS in the third year. If he says, "O my dove," (Song 2:14), "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away" (Song 2:10) or "Come up hither" (Rev. 4:1), at that time, we, like the dove Noah sent out, will FLY AWAY. We are filled with the Holy Spirit, so the dove is a perfect symbol of the Rapture. When the Holy Spirit flies away, he takes us with him, for we are joined to him. At that time, it will be as if the earth is dried too. Then, as the Tribulation begins after the extra year, there will be no rain, and famine will be in the land.
On Pentecost in 30 AD, the Holy Spirit descended on the church like a dove. When we fly away with him, it is as the dove flies away. That's another Pentecost tie-in. It is probably the only feast with the dove associated with it. Agape
