FWD: From 5Doves site: Robin MacAhan (6 Oct) "URGENT PRAYER REQUEST!!!" (I think Robin is in Texas)
I have a lifetime friend who has a 10 year old daughter. This little girl has, in the last few days, contracted a virus that the doctors cannot diagnose.

I went and saw her today and she is down to 65 pounds and cannot hold food or water in her stomach. The virus has attacked her platelets and her kidneys. The doctors cannot do anything for her. Her little face is swollen and she is pale as a ghost.

I know you have always been there to pray for those who need it and I'm asking if you would pray for this little girl. Her name is Kaitlyn Hudson (Amarillo, Texas). She has beautiful blue eyes and curly long brown hair. She needs your prayers quick!

Could you please stop now and take the time to pray for her healing and for the blood of Jesus to bring her back to perfect health.

Thank you so much. i will keep you posted on the results of your loving prayers.

I'm addicted to your web site - it is wonderful.
Regarding the parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25, it just seems to me that there is more to this story than  meets the eye. The first item I wonder about is the fact that "all ten" were sleeping when the cry went out. Those of us looking for our Lord are certainly not sleeping - au contraire, we are actively watching for Him.

Also, there is a distinct correlation between the sleeping virgins and the fact that a deep sleep fell upon Adam when the "bride" (Eve) was taken out of his body.  What do you suppose this means?

Back to the 10 virgins again, Matt 25:1 states that all ten "took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom". The Laodiceans, represented by the five foolish virgins, are in denial about the imminent return of Christ, so why would they "go forth" to meet him?  Then, as all ten virgins are going forth to meet the Bridegroom, it says "he tarried". Then they all fall asleep. While they are ALL sleeping, a midnight cry announces His return. Could this mean that we are going to receive some kind of "warning" before his actual return?  At the warning, then, they all trim their lamps, but the five foolish virgins quickly run out of oil. The five wise virgins advise the five foolish virgins to go and "buy" oil. God cannot be bought - so I'm curious about the choice of words. The foolish five then proceed to go and try to buy oil. During that time, He arrives and they miss the Rapture.

I guess my questions are:
1. What is the significance of the "sleeping" metaphor as it applies to both Adam and the ten virgins?
2. How can the five wise virgins be sleeping unless God somehow induces a deep sleep as he did with Adam?
3. How can the Laodiceans "go forth" to meet him when they aren't even looking for him?
4. Does the "midnight cry" (in your opinion) imply that we receive a warning from God, we all get ready to go and THEN he tarries?  Everyone (all ten) seem to get bored with the whole subject and fall asleep?
5. Why do the five foolish virgins try to "buy" oil?  We cannot purchase the Holy Spirit, so why did Jesus use that particular word?  He IS the Word so I know he never used words idly.

I just think this parable warrants further investigation, prayer and enlightenment by the Holy Spirit.

While I have you to myself for a moment, I would also like to ask you to elaborate on the Pope as the "beast". I think I read in one of the P&C's that you see the Pope as antichrist and the political leader as the false prophet. I always thought the Pope would be the false prophet (lamb with 2 horns) because of the false religion he represents.

And the political leader would be the antichrist. (Even as I am writing this, I think I am beginning to understand your logic.)  But, please comment on your reasoning as I want to get it straight. Thanks a million for all your help. Love in Christ Jesus

My reply

Thanks for your kind words. Whatever I have accomplished is with the Lord's help. Without him, we can do nothing. However, I doubt that I have all the answers to your questions. There is plenty to wonder about.

> The first item I wonder about
> is the fact that "all ten" were sleeping when the cry went out.

The sleeping could indicate that it was a time when they were not expecting it. In Mt. 24:40:41, two are in the field. One is taken, the other left. Two are grinding at the mill. One is taken, the other left. These are not actually sleeping. In Lu. 17:34, there are two men in one bed. One is taken, the other one left. These are probably sleeping, but there are two women grinding and two men in the field there also. Not everyone is sleeping around the world at the same time.

Since I have Green's Interlinear on my desk, I'll go through the parable of the ten virgins in it and see what turns up. Remember that Jesus used common things to teach profound lessons.

Mt. 25:1-10 says, "Then the kingdom of Heaven shall be compared to ten virgins (all are forgiven believers), who took their lamps (all had lighted lamps, i.e., all were Christians and sealed) and WENT OUT TO MEET THE BRIDEGROOM (the first time they expected Christ). And five of them were wise (the Philadelphians, they had already repented), and five were foolish (the Laodiceans, who were told to repent). When they took their lamps, the foolish ones did not take oil (extra Holy Spirit besides their sealing) with them. But the wise took oil in their bottles (their vessels, bodies, were filled with the Holy Spirit) with their lamps (their sealing kindled their dormant spirits to life). And as THE BRIDEGROOM DELAYED, they all nodded and went to sleep."

The sleepiness reminds me of the last night before the Crucifixion in the Garden of Gethsemane (meaning valley of oil). In Mark 14:34-42, Jesus told Peter, James and John, "Stay here and watch." "And he came and found them sleeping. And He said to Peter, Simon, do you sleep? Could you not watch one hour? Watch and pray that you do not enter into temptation (peirasmon, trial)." JESUS WENT AWAY AGAIN to pray, "And RETURNING He found them asleep again." He did the same a THIRD TIME, but what did he tell them this time? He "said to them, Sleep on now and take your REST (Psa. 149:5; Isa. 57:1,2). It is enough. The hour has come...GET UP. LET US GO." They got up when Jesus came the third time. The hour came the third time.

Continuing in Mt. 25: "And in the middle of the night there was a cry. Look, the bridegroom is coming! GO OUT TO MEET HIM (the second time they expected him). Then all those virgins rose up and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish ones said to the wise, Share your oil with us, for our lamps are going out. But the wise answered and said, No, lest there should not be enough for us and for you. But rather go to those who sell, and buy oil for yourselves. But AS THEY WENT AWAY TO BUY, THE BRIDEGROOM CAME (it seems that he came the third time). And those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast. And the door was shut."

When Noah went into the Ark, "the LORD shut him in." The door was shut on Cheshvan 17. This year Cheshvan 17 will fall on October 27. The Rapture is as the days of Noah (Mt. 24:37), so this seems to be a possible date for the Rapture. However, Pentecost is the wheat harvest, so it seems a possible date too. It was also one of the feasts when they were to GO UP to Jerusalem. The other date that seems possible is Ascension Day, because the head of the Body of Christ ascended that day. It comes on May 31, 2000. Whenever the Rapture is, we had better be ready ahead of time.

> there is a distinct correlation between the sleeping virgins and the fact that a deep
> sleep fell upon Adam when the "bride" (Eve) was taken out of his body. What do you
> suppose this means?

The first thought that came to me was that the Laodiceans are unaware of what is coming. Are they the same as asleep? The Body of Christ as a whole is complacent, self satisfied and unaware of the approaching danger of being left behind. Many pastors don't even teach about the Rapture, let alone the urgency of confessing sins right now because the time is "at hand" (Rev. 1:3; 22:10). Those are figuratively sleeping, not watching.

Only a small part of the total Body of Christ is awake. They are like the heart, lungs, and brain of a sleeping man. They keep on working, even when the rest of the body is asleep. We may be in the minority, but we are important to the life of the Body of Christ at this particular time. Like Eve, we will be taken out of the Body while it is sleeping.

The rest are like the Laodiceans, neither hot nor cold, just lackadaisical lukewarm, still alive and warm bodied, but unaware of the danger of being left behind. They think that because they are believers, they have it made. They are trusting Christ to get them to Heaven, and that faith will, eventually, get them to Heaven, but they may get chastised first. That danger, they are asleep to. The chastising will wake them up in a hurry. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Mt. 24:51; Lu. 12:46).

"But know this, that if the goodman (pastor) of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up" (Mt. 24:43). Because that one doesn't watch, his house will be broken into and all the best stuff taken.

> "buy" oil. God cannot be bought - so I'm curious about the choice of words.

Buy can indicate to procure, not with money, but by repenting and confessing our sins. The Laodiceans are also advised to buy gold, but it is a symbol of deity, meaning to procure the Holy Spirit.

> 3. How can the Laodiceans "go forth" to meet him when they aren't even looking for him?

Not sure, but they think they have it made, that whenever he comes, they will be picked up.

> 4. Does the "midnight cry" (in your opinion) imply that we receive a warning from God,
> we all get ready to go and THEN he tarries?  Everyone (all ten) seem to get bored with
> the whole subject and fall asleep?

I Thess. 4:15-17 (Green's) says, "we who are alive and left to the coming of the Lord may not in any way go before those who are dead. Because the Lord Himself will come down from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God." There is the "midnight cry." The virgins are alerted, but the dead must get their resurrection bodies.

"And the dead in Christ shall rise FIRST, THEN (second) those who are left alive shall be caught up together with those in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air."

There are not 40 days between the first and second events, as someone has suggested. The foolish virgins do not have time to confess their sins. It may even be that as they try to collect their thoughts, figure out what to do and start to do it, the second part takes place. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Mt. 24:51).

There are two Tribulation leaders called the Beast and the False Prophet (Rev. 20:10). The Beast is the one spoken of in Rev. 13:2-10. The False Prophet is the beast of Rev. 11-18. I think that the False Prophet is the final Antichrist because he is the one that is Satan possessed. He speaks like a dragon. Horns represent power. Satan has two comings like Christ. Satan was in Judas Iscariot and will be in the False Prophet.

The Beast is the sixth head of the great red dragon. The False Prophet is the seventh head. The tail of the great red dragon is Satan himself. He dwells in the False Prophet until he is deposed from office. Then Satan himself acts. In Rev. 17:11, Satan "is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition."

Isa. 9:15,16 says, "The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail. For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed." I think the ancient and honourable sixth head of the great red dragon is the Tribulation Pope after he is elected head of the world government. The False Prophet is indwelt by Satan, the tail. He also is the second of the two end-time beasts to rule the world.

Rev. 13:1-14 in Green's Interlinear says, "I stood on the sea-sand. And rising out of the sea (nations, Rev. 17:15) I saw a beast with seven heads and ten horns (Satan as the great red dragon). And on its horns were ten crowns." It is the beginning of the Tribulation, when the Pope is made leader of the world government, maybe of the World Parliament, and under him are ten kings, each over one of the ten regions this world has been divided into.

"And on its heads (Babel, Babylon, Media-Persia, Greece, Rome, Ecclesiastic Rome) was the name of blasphemy (Pontifex Maximus). And the beast I saw was like a leopard (Greece, Dan. 7:6), and its feet like a bear's feet (Media Persia, Dan. 7:5), and its mouth like a lion's mouth (talks like Babylon, Dan. 2:38; 7:4). And the dragon (Satan) gave his (Satan's) power to it (the Pope, head of Babylon III), and his (Satan's) throne and his (Satan's) great authority." Satan is "god of this world" (II Cor. 4:4). He does have great authority.

Rev. 17:10,11 fits the picture at the time of the Rapture. It says, "And there are seven kings--the five have fallen (Babel, Babylon, Media-Persia, Greece, Rome), and the ONE IS (the Pope, Ecclesiastial Babylon), and the OTHER (the False Prophet) has not yet come. And when he comes, he must remain a little while. And the beast (Satan) which was (in Judas Iscariot), and is not (in man now), he also is an eighth, and is of the seven (controls six and dwells in the seventh), and goes into perdition."

"And I saw one of its heads (Rome) as (as is symbolic language) dead. And its deadly wound was healed." When the Roman Empire was as dead, the power was transferred to the Pope, head of Ecclesiastical Rome. "And the whole earth wondered after THE BEAST (the Pope). And they worshiped the dragon (Satan, Lucifer) who gave authority to THE BEAST. And they worshiped THE BEAST (the Pope), saying, Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with it?" He seems to be elected to his office as supreme head over world government to try to bring peace to this world. After all, who would make war with the Pope?

"And to it (the sixth head of the great red dragon, the Pope) was given a mouth to speak great things, and BLASPHEMY (he claims infallibility, that he is the vicar of Christ, maybe even by that time that Mary is co-redemptress). And authority was given to it to act forty-two months (first half of the Tribulation). And it opened its mouth for BLASPHEMY against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle and those who dwell in Heaven (the true Bride of Christ, those taken up in the Pre-Trib Rapture, leaving the Tribulation Pope behind). And it was given to it (the Pope) to make war (at the second seal, Rev. 6:3,4) with the saints (Laodicean foolish virgins included) and to subdue them (there will be martyrs, Rev. 6:9)). And it (the Pope) was given power over every tribe and tongue and nation. And all earth's inhabitants shall worship it--that is, all those whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb, slain from the foundation of the world. If anyone has an ear, let him hear. If anyone brings into captivity, into captivity he goes. If anyone will kill by a sword, with a sword he must be killed. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints."

"And I saw ANOTHER beast (the False Prophet, 'ANOTHER little horn' of Dan. 7:8) rising out of the earth (eretz Israel, land of Israel). And it had two horns (two comings to power in man, in Judas Iscariot and in the False Prophet) like a lamb (Christ, who has two comings), and it spoke like a dragon (it is Satan possessed). And it uses all the authority of the first BEAST before it (head over both world government and world church). And it causes the earth and the ones who live in it to worship the first BEAST--whose deadly wound was healed. And it works great miracles, that even fire should be made to come down out of the sky to the earth in the sight of men. And it leads astray those who live on the earth, because of the miracles which were given to it to work IN THE SIGHT OF THE BEAST, commanding those who live on the earth to make an image to THE BEAST--which has the wound of the sword, and lived."

Maybe I'm nit-picking now, but how do we reconcile this dilemma?  South of the equator, the seasons are opposite. Song of Solomon says He comes in the Spring or Summer (Pentecost). Do our friends and neighbors in South America celebrate Pentecost during their January? Or do you feel that all prophetic events are relevant to time as it occurs in Israel? Thanks, Marilyn. Love & Blessings

My reply

The Bible deals with time and directions from Jerusalem.

Re: Rapture (and Keep up the Good Work
I just got back home after traveling most of the summer and the first thing I did was go to your site to get updated. It's the the "CIA Intelligence Briefing Site" - Christians In Action! Fantastic data!

Just a few ideas for your publication or review - you know, first, it did look like it was going to be Pentecost, but maybe that in itself fulfilled Scriptures. Jesus said that the 'bridegroom would tarry.' I think that means there would be a short wait after the bridegroom was expected, and then the Rapture would indeed occur.

Also, the Central Highlands site previously referred to in one of your briefings was most interesting. The Bible date for Rosh Hashana looks like October 11. There's apparently a 30-day error in the calculated calendar in 1999....

Logistically, Russia has to attack Israel. As of Jan. 1, 2000, Russia as a country will be plunged into the Dark Ages. (Y2K). From a military and economic standpoint. In Revelation it speaks of a 1/2 hour of silence (that's 53 days of the 7-year Day of the Lord, or 7 years/48). If the Rapture should happen mid-October, that gives geopolitical events about 50 days, or until the end of November, to take place - Russia and the Islamic countries to form a union to plan a strategic attack, final peace treaty issues, the ten-nations to rise and so forth. That leaves Russia almost exactly 30 days to carry out an attack while it's still logistically feasable. If I were a Russian military strategist, that's what I would want - no less. The Russians are very calculating people. The current PM recently stated he would do 'whatever it took to restore stability to the country' - he's a former military spymaster Hitler said the same thing before invading Europe six decades ago.

No one should give up - they just need to look up!

You have done one fantastic job, Marilyn!!

My reply

Thanks for the kudos.

> Logistically, Russia has to attack Israel.

The attack of the united nation's army under Gog in Eze. 38 is on the Day of God's Wrath, the 2300th day of the Tribulation, the first day of the millennial Day of the Lord. That doesn't mean that Russia can't attack before that, but I don't see a scripture that would say that would happen. Maranatha

Marylin, Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't you state in on of your Pro/Con's that after you missed the Pentecost 1998 Rapture date that the Lord told you "One More" and you took that to mean one more Pentecost or Pentecost 1999. If that is what you beleive that he meant by it, then why are you supporting a Pentecost 2000? Wouldn't that be "Two More"? I am certainly not tearing down your ministry nor degrading you in any way, but I see more for a Rapture in 1999 (not necesarily on an important feast or holiday) than I do for your Pentecost 2000 date. It just seems to me that you are contradicting your own "Word from the Lord" by insiting on this Spring Rapture theory. It seems to me that you draw prophetic importance from every word and space in the Bible. While every word in the bible is true and important, all the scripture that you are using are not all pointing to a Rapture in the Spring. I am a saint, just as you are, and I am waiting eagerly everday for Christ's return in the Rapture of the Church, but I am afraid that it is you who will be caught "not watching" if Jesus does not return when you say that he is supposed to return. Stop putting Christ in a Box

My reply

No, I didn't hear that. Someone sent that to me. The only words I have ever heard the Lord say to me are, "Be still and know that I am God." I hoped that the Rapture would be one more Pentecost, but it seems like it will be two more instead. Don't worry about me being ready and watching. I am that. I am even hoping that Cheshvan 17, the day Noah went into the Ark, could be the Rapture. I don't rule that out. It comes Oct. 27 this year. I don't rule out Ascension Day, either.

> why are you supporting a Pentecost 2000?

Pentecost is the wheat harvest, and we are called wheat. Pentecost also fits Song of Sol. 2:10-14. Since the Spirit of Christ came to fill believers on Pentecost, it seems likely that Christ will come on that day to catch away those that are filled with the Spirit of Christ. It is the one feast (rehearsal) that obviously belongs to the church.

I think the year 1998 was the 6000th year since Adam was cast out of the Garden and man began to be tried as mortal and knowing both good and evil. That year was marked in the Modern Parallels for some reason. I assumed it was the Rapture, but it wasn't. If you add the blocks of years in the 400's mentioned in Scripture to 5278, the year Martin Luther tacked his 95 theses to the church door in Wittenberg, Germany, the result is startling. The first three are sure. The last three are what I think after lots of study.

5278 + 400 = 5678 (1917/l918) Jerusalem was freed
5278 + 430 = 5708 (1947/1948) Israel became a nation
5278 + 450 = 5728 (1967/1968) Israel grew leaves in the Six-Day War, fulfilling the fig tree parable in Mt. 24:32-34
5278 + 480 = 5758 (1997/1998) 6000th year of man's test
5278 + 483 = 5761 (2000/2001) Beginning of Tribulation
5278 + 490 = 5768 (2007/2008) Beginning of Millennium, Day of God's Wrath, 9-13-2007 Second Advent, Nisan 1, 5768/Apr. 6, 2008

Maybe the four years of the parable of the barren fig tree in Lu. 13:6-9 started in 1998. In the parable, Jesus comes and speaks in the third year only. He came looking in the first two years, but he didn't speak. He neither comes nor speaks in the fourth year. Maybe the Rapture will be in 5760 (1999/2000). The three years could be 5758, 5759, and 5760. I think the Tribulation will start on the Feast of Weeks in 2001.

There seem to be 7 good years and 7 bad years here at the end of this age, just as when Joseph was in Egypt. I think the 7 good years began when the Oslo Agreement was signed on Sept. 13, 1993. The year 1993 + 7 = 2000. The year 2000 + 7 = 2007, the end of the 7 bad years. That jibes with Israel's 40 years of probation from the Sign of the End of the Age, when Israel grew leaves in the Six-Day War of 1967 (1967 + 40 = 2007).

The Wye 2 agreement has set the date for the Final Status Peace Agreement to be signed on Sept. 13, 2000. That is an interesting date. I think the end of the 2300-day Tribulation and the beginning of the millennial Day of the Lord will be Tishri 1, 5768, Sept. 13, 2007. To top all this off, the Oslo Agreement was ratified in Israel three days after it was signed. That date was Tishri 1, 5754. The year 5754 + 14 = Tishri 1, 5768, which is Sept. 13, 2007.

World current events seem to be ready for the Tribulation to burst upon the world. I don't think we will have to wait long for the Lord to come for his Bride. He said to watch. I am watching. Now they are talking about a World Parliament, and the world has already been divided into ten regions. All they need to do is elect the Beast and the ten kings to head it all up, and the Tribulation will have arrived.

> all the scripture that you are using are not all pointing to a Rapture in the Spring.

Which ones point to any other time?

> Stop putting Christ in a Box

I am certainly not doing that. All the Universe can't contain Him. He wouldn't fit in any box. Perennial watcher
Note: Jer. 5:24 (KJV) says, Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former (First Advent) and the latter (Second Advent, Hos. 6:3), in HIS SEASON: HE reserveth (shamar, keeps, observes) unto US the APPOINTED WEEKS OF THE HARVEST" (i.e., the Feast of Weeks, Pentecost). The Septuagint has, "He keeps for us the appointed weeks of the harvest."

Ex. 34:22,26 says, "And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest....The FIRST of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God." We are wheat, and we are "a kind of firstfruits of his creatures" (Jas. 1:18).

Mt. 13:30 says of the wheat and tares, "Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together FIRST the tares, and bind them in bundles (the world has been divided into 10 regions) to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn."

Neh. 10:35,36 says, "And to bring the firstfruits of our ground, and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, unto the house of the LORD; Also the firstborn of our sons."

FWD: El-Asadeyat Meteors will Fall on the Arab States Starting on November 15!
Jordan and other Middle Eastern countries as well as North Africa will witness in mid-November the natural phenomenon known as the El-Asadeyat meteors, which occurs only once every 23 years. Jordanian astronomy organizations said in a statement issued yesterday that Jordan, the Middle East, North Africa and Europe will be the best areas in the world to witness the phenomenon of the meteors shower that will start on November 15 and last for three days. The statement added that the meteors falling will be in shape of small balls of white snow and that the meteors will be clearly seen in the early hours of dawn as they will fall at a rate of 100,000 meteors per hour, adding that the event will not have a negative effect on the inhabitants.
