Note: 10-16-98, Riverside, CA. Dave, Ed and I were all shaken awake by the 7.0 Hector Mine earthquake that derailed an Amtrak train out in the Mohave Desert near Ludlow at 2:49 AM. It seemed to be a very jerky back and forth motion. We haven't noticed any damage here. We felt the 6.7 Northridge Quake of 1-17-94, a lot more, but we were in Yorba Linda then. A ceramic swordfish took quite a tumble and smashed to pieces in that one. Other than that, we have had cracks in walls, ceiling or concrete at times, but nothing major. We have been in Southern California since 1955.
Incoming Email Fwd: Those Disqualified at the Rapture and Second Coming
by Your Brother and friend in Christ, Jamma, "Rapture Watch"
...Who will go and who will be left? We recently received this inquiry concerning the Rapture.
"I would like to know your view on who gets raptured. Is it "selected" Christians who are very careful at adhering to God's Word? Or will it be all Christians which include those who are being deceived by false teachers or greedy tv evangelists who donıt know any better, or those who are under some formatted belief which includes "post-trib" rapture but still have their faith in Jesus? Iım getting so many mixed statements and I just donıt understand. Iıve heard that the rapture is not about salvation from the tribulation, but a reward for those looking and waiting for His coming and obeying the Word. So that would mean that other Christians who are not quite in that format are still going to go through the trib. I personally think that the rapture is quite a part of the plan of salvation and that every Christian will experience this. But the parable of the 10 virgins has me wondering. What do you think?"
Reply: In I Corinthians Chapter 15 verse 51, the Apostle Paul did not use the words "most" or "some" when revealing which believers will be changed at the Rapture, but instead with perfect clarity proclaimed by God that: ³Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed--."
***From Marilyn: I Thess. 2:16 is the first "trump of God" that calls the Church saints to Heaven. I Cor. 15:52 is "the last trump" that calls the Tribulation saints to Heaven. The first group is seen in Heaven in Rev. 5:9 before the first seal is broken in Rev. 6 to start the Tribulation. The last group is seen in Heaven in Rev. 7:14 after the sixth seal has been broken and before the seventh seal is broken in Rev. 8 to bring on God's Wrath. The first is as the days of Noah. No fire falls that day. The last is as the days of Lot. Fire falls that same day (Lu. 17:29).
***There are two days of the Son of Man, i.e., two Raptures. Lu. 17:22-30 says, "The days will come, when ye shall desire to see ONE of the DAYS (plural) of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it....And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man....Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot...it rained fire and brimstone from heaven...Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed" (the Sign of the Son of Man, Mt. 24:30).
The Scriptures fully support your understanding that the Rapture is part of salvation, and that it is Christ which has obtained this promise for believers, and not the wholly inadequate efforts of men, as can be seen in such passages as II Corinthians Chapter 5 verses 1 through 5 and Ephesians Chapter 2 verses 19 through 22. The Holy Spirit indwelt Church is the restrainer of the Anti-Christ in II Thessalonians Chapter 2 verses 6 and 7. The entire Church must be removed as the restrainer, not just a portion of it.
***The wise virgins, the overcomers from among the churches, the Philadelphians, are taken up in the first Rapture. The foolish virgins, those that are not overcomers from among the churches, the Laodiceans, are taken up in the last Rapture. The wise virgins have enough oil of the Spirit of Christ. They are ready and go with the Bridegroom when he comes. They are the Bride of Christ. The foolish virgins do not have enough oil of the Spirit of Christ. They are the remnant of the Body of Christ that are taken up with the Tribulation saints.
Christian failings are to be judged at the Bema Seat of Christ, which is the appointed judgement for believers within the Church. This judgement is to take place immediately after the Lordıs meeting with believers in the air
***The Judgment Seat of Christ takes place on the Day of God's Wrath, the first day of the millennial Day of the Lord.
***Rev. 11:17,18 says, "thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry (the army under Gog is attacking Israel, Eze. 38), and THY WRATH IS COME, and the time of the dead, that they should be JUDGED, and that thou shouldest give REWARD unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; AND shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth." The Pre-Wrath Rapture is on the Day of God's Wrath, but they are caught up out of the fiery furnace before the asteroid impacts at noon. The "great mountain burning with fire" will be "cast into the sea" (Rev. 8:8) the Mediterranean (Zeph. 2:4,5). That will stop the army invading Israel. The "great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp" (Rev. 8:10) will destroy Babylon (Rev. 18:21).
- it is not accomplished by leaving the Church upon the earth to experience the wrath of God (II Corinthians Chapter 5 verses 9 through 11, I Thessalonians Chapter 5 verses 9 through 11 and I Thessalonians Chapter 4 verses 14 through 18).
Since II Corinthians Chapter 5 verse 10, states that ³all² believers must ³appear² before the judgement seat of Christ, then according to partial Rapture teachings there must be some unscriptural second Bema Seat judgement for Christians after the Church is judged during the Tribulation Period. We could call this judicial process on behalf of partial Rapture proponents..."Purgatorial Double Jeopardy." First believers must suffer for their sins during the time Christ judges the earth - then they are to be judged again!
***Both Raptures take place before the Judgment Seat of Christ takes place. Rev. 11:18 says, "THY WRATH IS COME, and the time of the dead, that they should be JUDGED, and that thou shouldest give REWARD unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, SMALL AND GREAT."
If Christıs blood sacrifice is not sufficient enough to cover the sins of living believers at His coming, then His blood is not sufficient to cover the sins of the dead either; that is unless those teaching the partial Rapture want to add to Christıs atonement by saying that believers deaths are now required along with Christıs in order to receive the full promise of redemption.
***Christ's sacrifice is enough to get us into Heaven. Which Rapture we go up in is up to us, whether we are ready or not. The Wise virgins go the first time. The foolish ones go the second time.
According to Romans Chapter 3 verses 22 through 26,
***Verse 25 says, "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins THAT ARE PAST." II Peter 1:9-11 says, "But he that lacketh these things is blind (like the Laodiceans), and cannot see afar off (i.e., Heaven at Rapture I), and hath forgotten that he was purged from his OLD SINS (when he accepted Christ). Wherefore the rather, brethren (believers), give diligence to make your CALLING AND ELECTION sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ."
***Old sins are wiped off the books when we accept Christ. At that point, we get a fresh start. However, sins committed after that need to be confessed so Christ can cleanse us of all unrighteousness (I John 1:9). This is the lesson the Tribulation saints have to learn. By the time they are caught up, they will have "washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb" (Rev. 7:14).
Chapter 8: verses 10, 11 and 18 through 23, Colossians Chapter 1 verses 12 through 14, Ephesians Chapter 1 verses 3 through 14 and Chapter 4 verse 30 - every believer is sealed with the Holy Spirit as a guarantee that they will inherit the full redemption of their body, soul and spirit. They are to be blessed with this guarantee to receive "every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ" through their "faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Concerning the parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25 verses 1 through 13. The very first word in this parable is the word "then". This refers back to the previous subject matter revealed in Chapter 24, which is the second coming of Christ at the close of the seven year Tribulation Period.
***The preceding verses say, "The lord of that servant (the evil one) shall come (at the Rapture) in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder (cut him off), and appoint him his portion (the shortened Tribulation) with the hypocrites (pretenders): there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Lu. 12:46 says, "The lord of that servant (the unwise one) will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder (lit., cut him off), and will appoint him his portion (the shortened Tribulation) with the unbelievers."
Notice that the "bride" is conspicuously absent from this parable. The bridegroom was not coming to marry ten brides as some teach, but the ten virgins are what we call bridesmaids.
***There is no scripture to back that up.
According to the Pulpit Commentary, an ancient custom was that the selected individuals would light ten lamps ahead of the bride when she came forth from her father's house on her journey to join the groom at where he was residing. To have the honor of being chosen as one worthy to be a bridesmaid and to light the way was a guarantee of admittance to the wedding feast. To have not come prepared to fulfill the obligation was a grave insult.
***We have to go by Scripture, not the Pulpit Commentary. The Bible is the only pure truth we have to go by.
The parable is straightforward for a specific event, but has application to every dispensation. The bride is absent because she (that is the Church) has been caught up to Heaven seven years earlier at the Rapture and is at her Fatherıs house in Heaven
***The "open door" of Rev. 8:8 is set before the Philadelphians at the time that the Pre-Trib Rapture is "at hand" (Rev. 1:3; 22:10). This is "the door" of Mt. 24:10. Only "they that were READY (the Philadelphians, who are not warned to repent, because they already have) went in with him to the marriage; and the door was shut." Those facing the closed door are the Laodiceans, and they were warned to repent. They just didn't listen. They thought they had it made already, but they were without white wedding garments.
(John Chapter 3 verse 29, Ephesians Chapter 5 verses 25 and 32, I Thessalonians Chapter 4 verses 15 through 18 and John Chapter 1 verses 1 through 3).
At the end of the seven years the bride will come forth from her Fatherıs house in Heaven to reside with the groom (Jesus Christ) at His dwelling on the earth (Revelation Chapter 19 verses 7, 8, and 11 through 16). Upon the earth at the end of the Tribulation Period there will be many who will be awaiting the return of the Saviour Jesus Christ and His Church. There will be others who will try to obtain salvation during the final moments of His arrival. These two groups are those represented by the five wise and five foolish virgins.
***The five foolish virgins are left outside the door at the Pre-Trib Rapture. The Laodiceans are facing a closed door because they did not repent and confess their sins (Rev. 3:19).
In our message The Fate of Nations and Menı at: http://www.rapturewatch.com/christ-like/fatofnatandm.html we wrote regarding those who will make a calculated attempt to be found worthy to attend the Lordıs glorious wedding feast. Christ will not be fooled by ineffectual last minute conversions (Luke Chapter 14 verses 16 through 24 and Revelation Chapter 19 verse 9).
The proof that the foolish virgins were never true believers is found in verses 11 and 12 of Matthew Chapter 25, where the Lord declares to them: "Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you."
***In the Concordant Version, Verse 12 says, "Verily ('Amen,' so be it, i.e., this is important), I am saying to you, I am not acquainted with you!" They are like distant neighbors. We are supposed to be in close fellowship with the Lord.
Jesus has perfect knowledge about the spirits of those who contrive to conceal their hearts by paying Him lip service and kissing Him upon the cheek (Galatians Chapter 6 verse 7, Matthew Chapter 7 verses 21 through 23 and Luke Chapter 22 verses 47 and 48).
To know if one will be found worthy by Christ to take part in the Rapture we only need to heed the words found in II Corinthians Chapter 13 verses 4 through 6: "...For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you. Examine yourselves as to whether you are in faith. Prove yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? - unless indeed you are disqualified. But I trust that you will know that we are not disqualified."
Believe in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of all your sins this very moment and He will confess to the angels of God in Heaven that He knows you (Luke Chapter 12 verses 8 and 9).

Incoming Email I am having alot of trouble with this one question...If none of Jesus' bones were to be broken, what about is feet? There are like 200 bones in the foot. Wouldnt at least one of them have been broken when a huge spike was driven through them?
My reply There are not 200 bones in the foot. You must be thinking of the whole body.
Scripture is 100% pure truth. It is God breathed. If it says not a bone was to be broken, there was not a bone broken. With so many bones in the foot, it would be easy for a nail to go between them. Who in their right mind would try to drive a nail through bone when they didn't have to. Small bones would easily slip aside anyway.
Incoming Email May the God of Peace Bless you and Keep your Household strong in His protection and provision. Marilyn, I've been "Watching" with your site daily. God bless your patience with some of your e-mail sheep and goats. Your replies have blessed me and given me a goal to duplicate in your love and "patience" in the enter-action with your goats. May you never tire at responding to their vain attempts to wear you down.
I've been doing considerable studies with Herbraic Roots lately. I found a web site that I think you should check out since I've never read your thinking on what this particular site is saying. You have convinced me of your Jewish calendar knowledge so I hope you consider the information contained in this site.
The site is called The House of David Herald at www.mim.net/hod/hod0175/index.htm. The source is Ephraim, Free At Last! Basic to this is that when the House of Judah and Ephraim (Israel) was judged and punished by Yahveh, each was assigned so many days for their iniquity. In particular, the length of Ephraim's (the Northern Kingdom) punishment was a seven fold punishment of 390 years times seven, for a total of 2,730 years. According to this writing, the author started 734 B.C. When does the end of Ephraim's double punishment end? 1996. Or, If you take the year 722 B.C. as a base, the author comes up with the year 2008.
I hope you can use the information in your WATCH.
Shalom... Sincerely in Messiah Yeshua
My reply I don't agree with Angus Wootten. He added the 390 years of Israel's punishment to the 40 years of Judah's punishment and said that gives a total of 430 years of punishment for Judah." I don't believe that. The Lord separated the years for a reason. Neither do I think we can arbitrarily multiply the years given in Eze. 4:5,6 by De. 26's seven times. The seven times indicates the Seventieth Week of Daniel, the Tribulation.
Even though Wootten said, "After His resurrection, Yeshua presented Himself alive to His emissaries, appearing to them over a period of forty days, and speaking of the things concerning the Kingdom (Acts 1:2). Then came the time for His departure," I didn't see any mention of the impact those 40 days might have in our time.
Eze. 4:6,7 says, "thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year. Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered (Christ is the 'arm of the LORD,' Isa. 53:1), and thou shalt prophesy against it." Judah committed iniquity by not accepting their Messiah in 30 AD. Because of that iniquity, Judah came under siege and was burned 40 years later, in 70 AD.
In the first century AD, Jerusalem was given 40 years to repent before destruction hit in 70 AD. In our days, Jerusalem seems to have been given another 40 years in which to repent after the rest of the city was taken by Israel in the Six-Day War. The year 1967 + 40 = 2007. I think that just as destruction hit in 70 AD, destruction will hit in 2007 AD, on the first day of the Jewish 5768.
I also think that Jesus ascended on the 40th day and will come in like manner to show us something else. I think he will come after 40 years from 1967, on Nisan 1, 5768, the first day of the Regnal and Sacred Year.
"Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition upon whom the ends of the world (ages) are come" (I Cor. 10:11).
If we add the 390 years to the 40, we obscure the meaning of the 40.
Incoming Email I've always heard people talk about the rapture and that it was coming soon, but when i would ask them what exactly it was they couldn't tell me...I was just wanting to no if you could tell me what the rapture is? Confused in WV
My reply The Rapture is when Jesus comes and catches away his saints to take them to Heaven. The Scripture describing it is I Thess. 4:13-18. Part of it says, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first (he brings them with him and they get their resurrection bodies): Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." Also read John 14:2,3.
There are two Raptures, Pre-Tribulation (first trump) and Pre-Wrath ("last trump," I Cor. 15:51,52). I Thess. 4:13-18 applies to the first one. So does Luke 21:36: "Watch ye therefore and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things (the coming 7-year Tribulation, including the Mark of the Beast) that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."
The way we are accounted worthy is to have accepted Christ as our own personal Saviour and to obey I John 1:9, confess all known sins since we accepted Christ so he can cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Then we are as wise virgins with enough oil of the Holy Spirit to go when Christ the Bridegroom comes for his Bride (Mt. 25:1-12).
The first trump is in Rev. 4:1, before the first seal is broken in Rev. 6 to start the Tribulation. That group is seen in Heaven in Rev. 5:9. The group going at the last trump is seen in Heaven in Rev. 7:14, between the breaking of the sixth (Rev. 6:12) and seventh seals (Rev. 8) at the end of the shortened Tribulation just before the Wrath of God falls on all unbelievers left on Earth.
The Tribulation is the worst 7 years since there was a nation. On the Day of God's Wrath, when the seven trumpet judgments are cast on Earth, an asteroid will break into two main pieces and impact Earth (Rev. 8:8,10), destroying civilization as we know it. Every wall will fall in the worldwide earthquake (Ezek. 38:20). What brings God's fury up in his face is a united nations' army attacks Israel (Eze. 38). One piece of the asteroid as big as a mountain will strike the Mediterranean Sea (Zeph. 2:4,5), stopping the army in their tracks. It will take Israel 7 months to bury the dead (Eze. 39:12) before Christ's Second Advent. The other piece of the asteroid, probably a binary, will destroy Babylon on the Euphrates River.
The comet pieces hitting Jupiter showed us what this can be like. Jesus has given us a way to avoid the whole 7 years. We should take advantage of this kind offer. The first Rapture is probably for the Bride of Christ, much to be preferred in every way. It is the prize Paul was working for (I Cor. 9:24-27; Phil. 3:14). The second Rapture is for the rest of the Body of Christ.
If you still have questions, please let me know. In God's agape love
Incoming Email FWD: NEWS BRIEF: "The Russian art of war", World Net Daily, J.R. Nyquist, 9-30-1999.
...our contention...that Russia is planning to attack the United States in fulfillment of Daniel 7:7-8, 20 and Revelation 18...
***From Marilyn: The passage in Daniel is about "the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell." This takes place Mid-Trib, not before the Tribulation, as he contends later. Rev. 18 is not about the destruction of the US. It is about literal Babylon on the Euphrates.
...after Russia attacks and destroys the United States, her armed forces can then attack Israel to fulfill Ezekiel 38. Remember that Russia will first move into the Middle East in accordance with the Illuminati Plan to participate in the Third World War, a war that will fulfill Obadiah 15-18. The world will see Russia involved in two critically important wars: the Obadiah war and the Ezekiel 38-39 war.
***Eze. 38 is about the Day of God's Wrath. God's fury comes up in his face, he speaks in his wrath, there is a worldwide earthquake and every wall will fall (Eze. 18-20). The passage in Obadiah starts out, "For the day of the Lord is near." This is the end of this age, when the sixth seal is broken. The millennial Day of the Lord starts the next day and is the Day of God's Wrath.
When Russia moves into the Middle East, she will have her army in place to occupy the land after she destroys the United States with her nuclear forces....
Antichrist arises out of the smoke, dust, and destruction of this Third World War, claiming to be able to bring "Peace and Safety" to mankind. Revelation 6:1-2 has just been fulfilled...
***The Beast is put in power at the beginning of the Tribulation, the False Prophet Mid-Trib. Rev. 6:1-2, first seal, is when the Beast is given power over world government. War doesn't come until the second seal is broken.
Before Russia can attack Israel, she must destroy the United States. In a furious but short engagement, Russian forces have launched a surprise attack and annihilated us. Revelation 18 has been fulfilled, and the first of the three original 10 Super Nations has been destroyed just as Daniel 7:7-8, 20 foretold....
***Rev. 18 is about literal Babylon, not the US. It is destroyed on the first day of the millennial Day of the Lord, the Day of God's Wrath. The whole world is divided into 10 divisions.
Russia attacks Israel in fulfillment of Ezekiel 38-39. Just as God foretold, the Russian-led forces are annihilated as they attempt to cross the border of Israel.
***Zech. 14:2 says, I will gather ALL NATIONS (i.e., the world government's army) against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken...and half of the city shall go forth into captivity...Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle" (when he threw down rocks on Joshua's [Jesus's] Long Day). Joshua 10:11 says, "the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones then they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword."
Remember, this battle foretold in Ezekiel features a Russian-led army coming at Israel from the North, while the Ethiopians and Libyans are coming at Israel from the South. Thus, when God destroys Russia, the world will see this destruction as coming from the hand of Antichrist. Further, the Jewish Orthodox priests will see this destruction as the fulfillment of the Messianic prophecy that Messiah will deliver a Jerusalem surrounded by armies [Luke 21:20].
8) At this point, the Jewish orthodox priests will declare Antichrist to be the official Messiah. They will allow him to "confirm the covenant" of Israel. As his signature goes to the bottom line of the covenant, the 7-year Tribulation Period will officially begin.
***This Day of God's Wrath will be when the False Prophet (2nd beast) is deposed, not when the Tribulation starts. The covenant is confirmed as the Tribulation starts, but that is 2300 days before the Day of God's Wrath.
9) The Rapture of the Church will have occurred before Antichrist signs this covenant.
***At least he got that right.
