Perhaps it is a coincidence and just a chance, but the earthquake on saturday oct., 16 was 50 days before Hannukah...it was a 7.0, God's number... and it happened at JOSHUA TREE.

It is my understanding Jesus is the Greek translation of JOSHUA...and it happened at "Joshua Tree"....Jesus is the Tree of Life.

Perhaps God is warning us of another major earthquake coming to us real soon and if so, is seems to me a logical date would be 40 days before Hannukah around the 26th of this month.

In the back of my mind I feel America has betrayed Israel and we are under severe judgement at any moment and that God would do so on a pre-arranged schedule such as all the events which have occurred to Israel on the 9th of AV.  and whatever warnings we get would be in relationship to the Holy Feasts and using what I call sacred mathematic numbers such as 40, 50, 70, or 30....

May the Good Lord Bless all of you and protect you and continue to use you to guide us poor souls  as our nation continues it's downward plunge...I feel that since America...and the world did not repent by Yom Kippur our fate has been sealed and all the "natural" disasters all over since thing are surely our just deserve from the Lord Almightly as the final judgements pouring out on us....on what I consider our final year.

My reply

Yes, Jesus in Hebrew would be Joshua. It means Jehovah, the Saviour. Jehovah and Yahweh are both transliterations of YHVH.

It is true that the now 7.1 Hector Mine quake shook the merchandise from the shelves at Joshua Tree, but the epicenter was not at Joshua Tree. It was about 32 miles north of it and about 5 miles south of Ludlow on Highway 40. The epicenter, the entire 25-mile long surface rupture and the Lavic Lake Fault are contained with the boundaries of the Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, where water and gas lines were broken. What is astonishing to me is that the lateral dispacement along the fault line was 12 FEET. WOW! No wonder it shook us awake.

The next day, 10-17-99, was the 10th anniversary of the 7.1 Loma Prieta quake that struck the Bay Area. A few miles north of Joshua Tree is Landers, where the 7.3 quake struck June 28, 1992, but this is not considered a Landers aftershock.

The dry bed of Lavic Lake was torn untidily exposing multiple alternating layers of hardened lava and light-colored dirt. This fault runs through a field of inactive volcanoes and is thought not to have moved during the last 10,000 years. The quake is thought to be caused by crustal plates colliding and grinding against each other, not by volcanic forces.

The 50 days to Hannukah is interesting. I had not thought of that. It makes me wonder if Joshua Tree being close could indicate that Jesus is close. We will just have to stay ready and keep watching.

...Comment on my e-mail about the meteor I saw. On page 119 of "Revelations 2000", the meteor I saw not only was crossing the solstice point of the Sun on June 21, 2000, but also was in GEMINI. "Gemini, in the ancient zodiacs speaks of the Bridegroom and his Bride" (from your book). The presence of these two observations sure fits with the way our Lord speaks to us to confirm!

One question, in regards to Revelations 2000, "one will be taken (Church of Philadelphia)", one will be left (Church of Laodicea)." Could you say any more about your interpretation of this, because both the Church of Philadelphia and Smyrna are blessed to receive the prize that Paul spoke of. The other 5 have some who are saved, but fall short of God's glory. This spoils the 50/50 distribution because of the 2/7 and 5/7 ratios. The commentaries I have read and heard teach that as in the days of Noah, the eight in the Ark were "left", while the rest were "taken", taken for judgement. I know this is one of those scriptures that is always debated. How about the one taken one left being a reference to the final tally at the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. Rapture I saints plus Rapture II saints plus those were with the Lord already, are one half of the total souls, and the other half are "taken" for the Great White Throne Judgement.

Lastly, your Revelations 2000 book is an incredible work, it is really a credit to the Holy Spirit's work through you! Agape Love

My reply

I'm glad you like my third book. It is strange, but by the time I finished my first book, I knew I wanted to write The Master Key explaining The Revelation. I called it The Master Key, Revelations Secrets Revealed, but Avon Books Changed the Title. To me, Revelation is an outline of end-time events to be fleshed out with OT prophecies. It is the thing that puts various events scattered through the Psalms and the Prophets into their proper order. Those things were not to become so clear until near the end of the first century. I think the reason is so the Jews would not be expecting those things at the First Advent.

> page 119 of "Revelations 2000"

Thanks for that reminder. I had forgotten that the best date for the massing of the planets was May 3, 2000, because there will be a bonus of a partial solar eclipse.

Based on the position of the planetary bodies, it seems that the Egyptian Denderah Zodiac was copied from one originally designed about BC 4,000, when the summer solstice was in Leo. Ancient Persian and Arabian traditions give Adam, Seth and the prophet Enoch credit for the invention of astronomy (not astrology, which is Satan's corruption). Those three men seem to have originally recorded the zodiac. Josephus said, "God gave the antediluvians such long life that they might perfect those things which they had invented in astronomy."

Psa. 19:1-3 says, "The heavens declare (saphar, to recount or inscribe as a writer) the glory of God; and the firmament (expanse of space) sheweth his handiwork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and NIGHT UNTO NIGHT SHEWETH KNOWLEDGE (sheweth is chava, to declare, reveal). There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard." We do find the zodiac and star names have been known in all countries from ancient times.

The two main stars in Gemini are CASTOR (RULER, JUDGE) and POLLUX (WHO COMETH TO LABOR AND SUFFER), or Apollo and Hercules, who in mythology were supposed to have sailed with the Argonauts in the quest for the golden fleece. Isn't it strange, Paul just happened to sail in a ship "whose sign was Castor and Pollux" (Acts 28:11), and the constellation of the ship Argo (company of travellers) is backing into the dock? The new star, Nova Velorum, appeared in the sail of this ship too.

Other star names are AL HENAH (AFFLICTED), and it is in the foot of Pollux. A Hebrew named star is MEBSUTA (TREADING UNDERFOOT). The Arabic WASAT means ESTABLISHED, AS A FOUNDATION, or APPOINTED TO RULE, AL GIAUZA means THE PALM BRANCH, and AL DIRA means THE SEED. In "The Zodiac Conspiracy," Chris Patrick says, "This sign speaks of a uniting of the church to her saviour."

The way Gemini is pictured in the Denderah zodiac is as a man leading a woman by the hand. The Hebrew name for this sign is THAUMIN, THE UNITED. Chris said, "This name, along with the Arabic and Syriac names, carry the idea of COMPLETION, LIKE THE COMPLETION OF A BETROTHAL." The word is used in Ex. 26:24 to refer to boards that are to be twinned, or made alike.

In "The Witness of the Stars," Bullinger said, "The name in the ancient Denderah Zodiac is Clusus, or Claustrum Hor:, which means THE PLACE OF HIM WHO COMETH. It is represented by two human figures walking, or coming. The second appears to be A WOMAN. The other appears to be a MAN. It is a tailed figure, the tail signifying HE COMETH." The old Coptic Pi-Mahi means THE UNITED, just as the Heb. THAUMIN does.

This is a good sign to have our attention drawn to as we near the Rapture. The man who cometh is Christ. The woman seems to be the betrothed Bride.

Of course, there will be overcomers out of all groups, but many are already dead. This is an over simplification, but it seems as if "we which are alive and remain" (I Thess. 4:17) at the end of this period can be characterized as either Philadelphians or Laodiceans. They either show love or they are lukewarm. They are either wise virgins with plenty of oil of the Holy Spirit or foolish ones whose lamps are sputtering. They either have the "open door" of Rev. 3:8 set before them, or they are spewed out of Christ's mouth (Rev. 3:16).

> The commentaries I have read and heard teach that as in the days of Noah, the
> eight in the Ark were "left", while the rest were "taken", taken for judgement
I was just discussing commentaries over lunch today. I found them of very little value to me in my deep studies. They gloss over much and leave out the hard things. By sticking to the Scripture, including the LXX, and by using Green's Interlinear, Strong's Concordance, and Thayer's and Gesenius' Lexicons, I got much farther than I did in my seven years of constantly reading man's words about the Bible.

I think that Noah was lifted up by the water, just as we will be lifted up by the Holy Spirit. I think the one taken represents the one caught up in the Rapture. At the second Rapture, like Lot, they are TAKEN OUT of the fire and brimstone that is to fall, not left behind to burn up in "Sodom."

Lu. 17:29-37 says, "But the same day that Lot WENT OUT of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all (those left behind). Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed (the Sign of the Son of Man, Mt. 24:30)....Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be TAKEN, and the other left. And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body (Body of Christ) is (in Heaven), thither will the eagles (high flying Tribulation saints) be gathered together."

It is obvious to me that those TAKEN in the Pre-Wrath Rapture end up in Heaven and those left behind are burned. The Laodiceans are left behind. Therefore, I think those TAKEN the first time are those that "shall be caught up together with them (the dead in Christ) in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air" (I Thess. 4:17).

I don't think any are CAUGHT UP for the Great White Throne Judgement. It is appointed unto men once to DIE, after this the judgment. Our judgment is the Judgment Seat of Christ on the first day of the Millennium, not the Great White Throne Judgement at the end of the Millennium. Agape

I have been a most privileged student of the wealth of your biblical knowledge for a couple of years. I appreciate your steadfastness and the biblical grounding that your studies provide. I might add that I am not dismayed by the time to time bumps in the road with regard to the "hoped for" rapture dates coming and going. I am resting in the hope that one day (in the by and by) all of my questions will be answered and I continually pray that I will be worthy to be in the Lord's presence. I have always felt that I belonged to him and find joy in knowing that my name is written in the palm of his hand.

I am writing to tell you that I was fortunate to attend the opening night of Billy Graham's St. Louis Crusade last night (October 14). He was describing the awesome nature of God and described the vastness of the universe and mentioned the heretofore unexplained recent Gamma Ray Bursters. As is consistent with his simple message of truth (God's plan for salvation), he offered no explanations but merely intimated there are many mysteries in God's great universe that are yet to be revealed. It would be wonderful if one day you and Mr. Graham would have an opportunity to meet and discuss your faith. I would love to be a fly on the ceiling! God Bless you!

My reply

Thanks for all those kind words. I remember one time I took Ed's mother with me to a Billy Graham Crusade in Anaheim, CA. I had tears in my eyes when so many streamed down on the field. They just stepped into eternity. I told Millie that so many of them have no idea how their lives will change. One young man that came to our house to study the Bible with me told me that he could do all the things he did before, but he couldn't have fun doing them. The Lord starts working in our lives to make us more Christ like if we are only willing. Agape

I want to share with you about the women's conference I attended over the weekend near Richmond Virginia. It was exceedingly difficult to get there because of airline snafus and I almost gave up going at the last airport snafu on Friday but at the last minute agreed to try one more time to get there. I only was able to attend Sat. afternoon and evening and Sunday evening.

In the meeting the anointing for gold fillings occurred on Sat. night. Several women around me received three or so gold fillings from the Lord. The lady in front of me was under a specialist's care and was scheduled to have ALL of her amalgam fillings removed because of mercury poisoning. She received three gold fillings and is expecting the Lord to finish filling them all.

I asked a couple of women to count the gold fillings in my mouth and there was an additional gold filling. I had received a single gold filling a few weeks ago at a meeting run by a former Baptist minister who had received a total of 8 conversions to gold fillings himself. He had had no gold at all in his mouth and had just visited his dentist for cleaning and evaluation two months previously. The dentist later validated that the fillings had turned to gold. He had simply prayed while reading internet accounts of the gold fillings and the Lord answered his prayer. His 8 fillings and crowns are simply beautiful.

I placed my hand over my mouth just before leaving for the return flight home yesterday, asking the Lord to complete converting all of the gray amalgam fillings to gold. On the drive from the airport on the way home I stopped at a friend's house. Another tooth toward the front had completely turned to gold and a tooth behind it was turning to gold. It now has changed completely to gold. So that's 3 more gold fillings so far and I'm expecting that the conversion to gold of the final three gray amalgam fillings are in process of changing to gold. The 5 original gold fillings placed by the dentist in the 50's and 60's are polished and shining brighter that ever before.

This is simply amazing to me, but God can do anything. As others have pointed out, these are gold pre-nuptual betrothal gifts the Lord is bestowing upon His bride. I'm asking the Lord to perfect a conversion for you on that molar with which you've had so much trouble. And I'm asking Him to give you a few extra gold fillings for good measure.

By the way gold dust was also falling during the meeting. I saw several with gold flakes on their faces and another lady saw gold dust on my hand. I saw gold flakes on my fingers and when packing for the flight yesterday morning there were still two flakes of gold on my dark green and black dress. It was truly inspiring I'm so glad I attended.

Hope all is well with you and yours. God bless you, With love

My reply

No wonder you are excited. Thanks for sharing this with me.

As for me, I have had a couple of teeth broken and pulled, plus this one that broke and the dentist won't remove it. I went to him twice. I shouldn't have chewed ice all my life. I found out too late that it makes your teeth brittle. However, I have never had a cavity. The dentist put one filling on the other back tooth to try to keep it from breaking. That is the only filling I have, other than whatever the Lord did to stop this broken tooth from making my jaw ache continually. I haven't have any trouble out of it in months, and that after a full year of my jaw aching. Love

Re: Thoughts on the Lord's return
Once again thank you so much for the response. I will be ordering those books. Actually, that was what I was looking for. Recently, I have been blessed by the Lord in that he has sent people across my path who desired to hear more, once they learned of my faith. It was rewarding and you are definitely right. The conversations were "strange", in fact I found myself saying, "I don't know why I'm saying this, but...." Thank you for the scripture, right now it was something I needed to hear. God Bless you

I have found that many verses in different parts of the Bible seem to fit in perfect sequence. I have encountered this in two ways.

One, when I am reading I often highlight passages that seem to catch my interest. Later, after rereading the book by reading what was highlighted, I have found that it all reads as it if was one passage. I don't have my Bible with me right now, but if you are interested I will give you a couple examples. I know one was 1 Corinthians. No new doctrine, but the book became very understandable.

The second is that I usually don't receive insight on the spot while reading, even though I always pray beforehand that the Holy Spirit will reveal the message He intended. I read and become familiar with the material, think about it, and then two weeks, 3 weeks or even over a month later I will wake up in the middle of the night and understand the whole issue. I may not be able to verbalize it at first, but I understand the whole thing. I can instantly recall all of the verses that seem to apply from all over the Bible, parts that I can barely remember. Over a time I am then able to put it into words where I can explain it to someone. It like the reverse of the way we normally learn. We take in words and our mind processes it into knowledge of which we then have command. We can explain the beginning, the end, answer questions out of sequence, etc. I think the Holy Spirit can do this in reverse. I think He may give our spirit the knowledge, but our mind then needs to process the knowledge into language so that we have command of the material in our mind. Sometimes the Holy Spirit will lead us to speak in a way that we have tremendous command over the material, but when we finish we cannot recall the details of what we said.

When I started seriously studying the Bible, I took a different approach from the scholars, I took God at His word. In 1 Corinthians 2:14 Paul states that the natural man does not understand the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him. He cannot understand them for they are spiritually discerned. Verse 2:13 talks about the Spirit not speaking in the words of men, but in spiritual words. I prayed and told God that I take him his word and realize I cannot understand His intended meaning unless He chooses to reveal it to me, but that I would diligently search His scriptures and prayed that He would write His Word on my heart. He seems to be doing a very good job of it.

I understand a potential snare here, because I believe Satan can sneak in and counterfeit the Holy Spirit. therefore I always try to test the spirit for consistency with the body of scripture.

I share this with you because I know how long you have studied and because you have received some unusual insights into His Word. How does my experience compare with yours?

It is clear to me that God intended that He control the knowledge of His Word (such as when Jesus said that he spoke in parables so the crowd would not understand) so that He can give it to us when He knows we are ready and able to use it. This especially applies to prophecy and doctrines such as the Kingdom of God.

BTW, we know what the body is, and I think we know in concept what our spirit is. What do you think the soul is?

The world is being readied for the AC at a remarkable rate. We cannot have long to wait. In Christ

My reply

I use an old Mac and can't open the file.

In the previous email, someone wrote me saying that because I was wrong on a date, he thought I was a false prophet. Here is my answer. It will show you a lot about how I learn.

--- Numbers 12:6 says, "Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream." I do not fall into this category. Only those true prophets of God can say, "Thus saith the Lord," and I don't expect any until Moses and Elijah return. Do you?

The Lord woke me one night. I was absolutely terrified. My heart was beating like a little bird trying to get out of my chest. I heard a masculine voice say, "Be still and know that I am the Lord." My heart instantly quieted, and I was still till dawn, but nothing else happened. It was about 20 years before I understood what that was all about. I was reading the LXX. Job 33:15,15 says, "when a dreadful alarm happens to fall upon men, in slumberings on the bed:) then opens he the understanding of men."

After not finding answers to my questions in 7 years of reading man's books about the Bible, I had opened my Bible, put my hands on it and said, "Lord! you'll have to show me. I want to know all the deep things, everything." He didn't pour it into me. He helps me understand bit by bit as I study his Word. As I type, explaining Scripture, something else clicks into place in my mind. I have even learned something as it came out of my own mouth when teaching a Bible study. However, I am not a prophet. I can't say, "The Lord said," unless it is in Scripture. I can make mistakes. But I keep on learning. I think there is more in the Bible than we will ever dig out in this life. That keeps it interesting. The prophetic picture is like working a jigsaw puzzle. Every tiny piece found and put in its proper place makes the entire picture come more sharply into view. If we put a piece in the wrong place, we eventually find it out and put it where it belongs.

In speaking of what is to come in the future, I just say how it looks to me. Not being a prophet, I can make mistakes just the same as you can. Time and study show me more and more as I go.

A false prophet claims to be a prophet when he says something is going to come to pass. When it doesn't, you know he is not a true prophet of God, but a self-proclaimed prophet. If some of the self-proclaimed prophets were right, California would have fallen into the sea by now.

I learn as I read and reread Scripture. The more one knows about the whole Bible, the more one understands about a single verse. I can learn more by putting it on paper than by keeping things floating around in my head. I mark interesting scriptures and go back again reading just the marked ones. As you found, something usually clicks into place. I think the Lord uses many means to help willing hearts learn.

> BTW, we know what the body is, and I think we know in concept what our
> spirit is. What do you think the soul is?

The soul is like animal life. It thinks, feels, wills, loves, fears, i.e., has all the emotions. The body has world consciousness. The soul has self consciousness. The spirit has God consciousness. Agape

As you know, The Bible says of the "Little Horn" power that he would "think to change the times of Sacred Feasts and holy days and the law;" that "calendar and ordinance he shall think to set aside."

If this refers to the beast, and if he intends to set himself up BEFORE God, and demands worship, I wonder if his counterfeit worship day will be THURSDAY?

The Islamic holy day is Friday, the Jewish holy day is Friday night/ Saturday, and most Christians have their holy day on Sunday. Thursday would be before all of these days. If so, it would be another clue to the identity of the beast.

My reply

Interesting thought, but I don't know on that.

I am wondering which Bible version you are quoting. I don't see "calendar" in the KJV. It has "think to change times and laws."

I picked up the NIV and Dan. 7:25 says, "He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The SAINTS will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time."

"Saints" seems correct because of Rev. 12:6,14,17, but I wonder if it is an interpretation instead of faithful to the Hebrew text. Green's Interlinear OT has "And THEY shall be given into his hand until a time and times and one-half time." The KJV has "they" instead of "saints," as do several other versions.

Dan. 7:25,26 in the Jerusalem Bible has "saints." It says, "he will insult the Most High, and torment the holy ones of the Most High. He will plan to alter the seasons and the Law, and the SAINTS will be handed over to him for a time, two times, and half a time. But the court will sit, and he will be stripped of his royal authority which will be finally destroyed and reduced to nothing."

The NEB has "saints." It says, "He shall plan to alter the customary times and law; and the SAINTS shall be delivered into his power for a time and times and half a time."

The NAB has, "He shall speak against the Most High and oppress the holy ones of the Most High, thinking to change the feast days and the law. They shall be handed over to him for a year, two years, and a half-year." Using "year" instead of "time" may be an interpretation too. That is what it means, but I think they should just translate what it actually says as close as is possible.
