Re: Kaitlyn Hudson: From: Robin MacAhan
I just wanted to thank you and all of your readers for praying for little Kaitlyn. Thanks to all of your prayers she is home from the hospital and will be going back to school next week. The doctors say they have never seen anyone recover as quickly from E-coli as she has and it was a miracle as far as they are concerned. Thank you again and Praise the Lord for His healing power in her little life!

...Time is quickly running out, and Jesus is about to return. The Tribulation period will begin after the Bride of Christ is Raptured to the throne of God. Those faithful believers who eagerly await His return will be removed from this planet, while the lukewarm Christians who are too caught up with this world will face the dreadful time of the anti-christ during the period Jesus described to his followers as the "Great Tribulation" (Matthew 24:21).

***From Marilyn: I can sure agree with that.

...Sir Isaac Newton. Yes, one of the great scientists of all times may have discovered the one key that unlocks Daniel's prophecy.

***I don't think so.

The religious leaders at the time of Christ were rebuked because they could not discern the time that they were living in:

"When it is evening ye say, "It will be fair weather; for the sky is red." And in the morning, "It will be foul weather today: for the sky is red and lowring." O YE HYPOCRITES, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the SIGNS OF THE TIMES?" (Matthew 16:2-3 (KJ)

In a similar manner, we are currently living at a time when the Scriptures are SHOUTING: JESUS IS COMING! Unfortunately, not everyone has the "ears to hear" or the "eyes to see" what is transpiring before them....

To ensure that we are not rebuked by Jesus, let's take a better look at what the Word of God has to say about knowing the timing. The most widely used verse people quote when they want to prove that we are not to know when Jesus is returning is found in Matthew:

"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." (Matthew 24:36(KJ))

What most people fail to remember, however, is the preceding verse:

"Heaven and earth shall PASS AWAY, but my words shall not pass away." (Matthew 24:35)...

The next objection to knowing the timing of end time events is related to the following

verses in Matthew 24:42-44(KJ):
"WATCH therefore: for YE KNOW NOT WHAT HOUR your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the GOODMAN of the house had known in what WATCH the THIEF would come, he would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such AN HOUR AS YE THINK NOT the Son of man cometh."

On the surface of things, it appears that the Lord is coming as a THIEF and at a time we will not know. For the answer to this, we need to turn over to the parallel passage in Luke where Peter asks the Lord a very vital question in Luke 12:39-41(KJ):

"And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come,he would have watched, and not suffered his house to be broken through. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of Man cometh at AN HOUR WHEN YE THINK NOT."

In this parallel passage concerning when the Lord is going to return, Luke records a very important question that Peter asks: Is this parable for US, meaning fellow believers, or for everyone? Now, let's see what the Lord's answer is to this crucial question:

"And the Lord said, Who then is that FAITHFUL and WISE steward, whom HIS lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season."

"Blessed is THAT servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath."

"But and if that servant say in his HEART, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

"The lord of that servant will COME IN A DAY WHEN HE LOOKETH NOT for him, and at AN HOUR WHEN HE IS NOT AWARE, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers." (Luke 12:42-46(KJ))

First of all, Jesus says that the FAITHFUL and WISE steward will be greatly blessed. They are dressed and READY with their lamps burning brightly WAITING and WATCHING for their Lord to return (see Luke 12:35 & 36, and Matthew 25:10).

But notice what the UNFAITHFUL servant is thinking in his heart: "My lord delayeth his coming." He is not LOOKING and WATCHING as the faithful and wise steward is. Instead, he is beating (Greek: wounding the conscience) of his brothers and sisters. He is saying:

NO ONE KNOWS when the Lord is coming, so let's forget about it and talk about something else; let's concern ourselves with this present time and enjoy ourselves.

Because of the attitude of the unfaithful servant's heart, Jesus says that he comes for him: "in a DAY when he LOOKETH NOT FOR HIM, and at an HOUR WHEN HE IS NOT AWARE." To the unfaithful servant Jesus is coming like a thief. He is going to take him by surprise on a DAY AND HOUR that he will not expect Him....

This teaching that the wise and faithful will know and the unfaithful will not know is also confirmed for us by Paul:

"Now, BROTHERS, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come LIKE A THIEF in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on THEM SUDDENLY, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape."(I Thess. 5:1-3)

Most people stop reading at the end of the third verse to try to prove their point that the Lord is going to come as a THIEF. He is coming like a THIEF, but to whom is He coming to as a THIEF? Notice what Paul says in the fourth verse:

"But you, BROTHERS, are not in darkness so that this DAY SHOULD SURPRISE you like a THIEF."

Paul is saying that the Lord's coming should not surprise the Christian (BROTHER). While the rest of the world will be surprised like a THIEF, the Christian SHOULD NOT be taken by surprise.

This confirms what Jesus was teaching us in His parables. The wise and faithful steward will be READY, WAITING and WATCHING for Him when He returns for him. The unfaithful and foolish servant will not be looking for Him and will be taken by surprise.

Further evidence for this teaching is found in the book of Hebrews. Hebrews 10:25 shows that the faithful servant will, "SEE THE DAY APPROACHING." How could we see the day coming if we are not supposed to know? By simple implication, we should know.

Not only should we know, but more importantly we should be LOOKING for Him as taught to us in Hebrews 9:28:

"So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and UNTO THEM that LOOK FOR HIM shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation."

This makes it quite clear, Jesus is returning the second time for those who are LOOKING FOR HIM.

Further, the book of Revelation implies the faithful will know when the Lord is coming:

"I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. WAKE UP!

Strengthen what remains and is about to die...Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. BUT IF YOU DO NOT WAKE UP, I will come LIKE A THIEF, and you will NOT KNOW at WHAT TIME I will come to you." (Rev.3:2-3)

The church of Sardis was dead. The Lord rebuked it and warned it to repent and to wake up. By implication, if this church will only obey His admonition, they will not be surprised like a thief and they will KNOW the TIME.

...Sir Isaac Newton was one of the greatest minds that ever lived. Much of scientific knowledge came from this tremendous man. Not only was he a scientist, but he was also a devout believer who understood the Hebrew language. He studied the Scriptures and translated Daniel's prophecy.

Forget all you have been taught on Daniel's Seventy Weeks, and listen to Sir Isaac Newton's interpretation. If his understanding is correct time is almost up! (from: Newton's Prophecies of Daniel by the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine, 2251 Dick George Road, Cave Junction, Oregon 97523).

70 Weeks Completed

Newton contended that the 70 weeks of Daniel represent 490 years that ended with the death of Jesus Christ:

"Seventy weeks are cut out upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish trans-gression, etc. Here, by putting a week for 7 years, are reckoned 490 years from the time the dispersed Jews should be re-incorporated into a people and a holy city, until the death and resurrection of Christ; whereby transgression should be finished, and sins ended, iniquity be expiated, and everlasting righteousness brought in and this Vision be accomplished and the Prophet consummated, that Prophet whom the Jews expected; and whereby the most Holy should be anointed, he who is therefore in the next words called the Anointed, that is, the Messiah, or the Christ. For by joining the accomplishment of the vision with the expiation of sins, the 490 years ended with Christ's death."

***I don't think so. It is "to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy (Christ)" as in the KJV. See Green's Interlinear. Is Christ to be sealed up? No. The vision and prophecy are to be sealed up. Christ is to be anointed.

Newton outlined this 490 years as follows:

"Now the dispersed Jews became a people and city when they first returned.....There were but two returns from captivity, Zerubbabel's and Ezra's; in Zerubbabel's they had only the commission to build the Temple,in Ezra's they first became a city by a government of their own. Now the years of this Artaxerxes...was in the year 458 B.C. Count the time from thence to the death of Christ, and you will find it just 490 years."

***490 - 458 + 1 (because there is no zero year) = 33 AD. I think the Crucifixion was in 30 AD. The year to start counting is the first year of Cyrus, BC 454 (483 - 454 + 1 = 30 AD). It is God "That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid." Whatever God says comes true exactly as he planned.

Newton felt that the 70 weeks of Daniel were completed with the death of Christ around the year 33 A.D. Now let's look at an excerpt from Newton's Prophecies of Daniel

Newton's Interpretation of Daniel's Seventy Weeks

"This prophecy of the MessiahŠrelates to both comings, and assigns the times thereof....The whole I thus translate and interpret.

Seventy weeks are cut out upon thy people, and upon thy holy city, to finish transgression, and to make an ends of sins, to expiate iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, to consummate the Vision and the Prophet, and to anoint the most Holy.

***Just think. If this has already taken place, why do we have rampant sin today? even sin in Israel and in Jerusalem? To me, there is NO this has all taken place yet. Transgression has not come to an end. Everlasting righteousness is definitely not what we are seeing today. Israel has not even been re-established in everlasting righteousness. Christ has not yet been anointed King of kings on Earth. Even today, all that is in this "VISION AND PROPHECY" has not yet been fulfilled.

Know also and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to cause to return and to build Jerusalem, unto the Anointed the Prince, shall be seven weeks.

Yet threescore and two weeks shall it return, and the street be built and the wall; but in troublous times: and after the threescore and two weeks, and Anointed shall be cut off, and it shall not be his; but the people of the Prince to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary:

***Who destroyed Jerusalem and burned the temple? the Jews? NO. It was the Romans under Titus. Jesus is NOT THIS prince to come. Jesus is a JEW.

and the end thereof shall be with a FLOOD, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. (emphasis mine)

***Was the end of Jerusalem and the temple in 70 AD with a flood? NO. It was by fire. But, when the asteroid, "great mountain burning with fire" (Rev. 8:8) is cast into the Mediterranean Sea (Zeph. 2:4,5), there will be an overrunning flood or tsunami. Nahum 1:2-9 says, "God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth...and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on us adversaries, and he reserveth WRATH for his enemies. The LORD...hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm...He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth. The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and THE EARTH IS BURNED at his presence (paneh, sight, i.e., the Sign of the Son of Man), yea, THE WORLD, AND ALL THAT DWELL THEREIN. Who can stand before his indignation: and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and THE ROCKS (i.e., two large pieces of a binary asteroid) ARE THROWN DOWN BY HIM. The LORD is good, a strong hold in THE DAY OF TROUBLE; and he knoweth them that trust in him (the Pre-Wrath Rapture is that day, before the asteroid impacts at noon). But with AN OVERRUNNING FLOOD HE WILL MAKE AN UTTER END OF THE PLACE THEREOF, and darkness (thick smoke from the asteroid impacts) shall pursue his enemies. What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make AN UTTER END; AFFLICTION SHALL NOT RISE UP THE SECOND TIME." There is the finishing of the transgression of Dan. 9:24, the "UTTER END," and it happens very early in the Millennium. The asteroid pieces impact on the first day. Christ returns seven months later. He takes dominion away from Satan at the Judgment of the Nations. Armageddon follows that. After Armageddon, true worldwide peace and a perfect King.

Yet shall he confirm the convenant with many for one week: and in half a week he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease: and upon a wing of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that which is determined be poured upon the desolate.

***The final prince that shall come, the Satan-indwelt False Prophet, the Wicked One (II Thess. 2:8,9), head of both the world church and world government, shall make the temple desolate from Mid-Trib until the consummation of the 490 years, or 1260 days (Rev. 12:6,14). At that time, when Christ presides as judge at the Judgment of the Nations, that which is determined shall be poured upon the "DESOLATOR" (Green's Interlinear; caps mine). Armageddon will break out when dominion is taken from Satan. At the end, "the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet...These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone" (Rev. 19: 20, KJV). Has this taken place yet? NO!

Now the dispersed Jews became a people and city when they first returned into a polity or body politick...

Know also and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to cause to return and to build Jerusalem, unto the Anointed the Prince, shall be seven weeks. The former part of the Prophecy related to the first coming of Christ, being dated to his coming as a Prophet; this being dated to his coming to be Prince or King, seems to relate to his second coming.

***At the Second Advent, do the Jews destroy the city and the sanctuary? NO! In 70 AD, the Romans did destroy the city and the temple. This part of the prophecy was for 70 AD.

There, the Prophet was consummated, and the most holy anointed: here, he that was anointed comes to be Prince and to reign. For Daniel's Prophecies reach to the end of the world;

***This prophecy does reach to the end of this age and the first part of the Millennium.

and there is scarce a Prophecy in the Old Testament concerning Christ, which doth not in something or other relate to his second coming...

The Israelites in the days of the ancient Prophets, when the ten Tribes were led into captivity, expected a double return; and that at the first the Jews should build a new temple inferior to Solomon's, until the time of that age should be fulfilled; and afterwards they should return from all places of their captivity, and build Jerusalem and the temple gloriously, Tobit 14:4,5,6: and to express the glory and excellence of this city, it is figuratively said to be built of precious stones, Tobit 13:16,17,18; Isa. 54:11,12; Rev. 11, and called the New Jerusalem, the Heavenly Jerusalem, the Holy City, the Lamb's wife, the City of the Great King, the City into which the Kings of the earth do bring their glory and honor. Now while such a return from captivity was the expectation of Israel, even before the times of Daniel, I know not why Daniel should omit it in his Prophecy.

***It is God's prophecy, not Daniel's. It is up to us to figure out what it means.

Now Nehemiah came to Jerusalem in the 20th year of this same Artaxerxes, while Ezra still continued there, Neh. 12:3,6, and found the city lying waste, and the houses and wall unbuilt, Neh. 2:17; 7:4, and finished the wall the 25th day of the month Elul, Neh. 6:15, in the 28th year of the King, that is, in September in the year...(437 - 436 BC). Count now from this year threescore and two weeks of years, that is 434 years, and the reckoning will end in September in the year of (3 - 2 BC)...which is the year in which Christ was born...

***I think Jesus was born in BC 5 and was visited by the wise men in BC 3, before Herod died not long after the Lunar Eclipse of Jan. 10, BC 1.

Thus have we in this short prophecy, a prediction of all the main periods relating to the coming of the Messiah; the time of his birth...and the time of his second coming: and so the interpretation here given is more full and complete and adequate to the design, than if we should restrain it to his first coming only, as Interpreters usually do. We avoid also the doing violence to the language of Daniel, by taking the seven weeks and sixty two weeks for one number. Had that been Daniel's meaning, he would have said sixty and nine weeks, and not seven weeks and sixty two weeks, a way of numbering used by no nation...."

***God said it the way he wanted it said.

The above writing by Sir Isaac Newton is truly amazing. Written almost 300 years ago, Newton correctly interpreted Daniel's prediction that Israel would be restored in the last days. From there he actually predicted the year Christ will return.

Tradition has added the 7 weeks to the 62 weeks to arrive at the "69 weeks of Daniel". Newton unveils this faulty reasoning for what it is. It is a deception fostered by Satan to keep the Church from knowing when Christ will return!

***I disagree.

Newton unveils the one key which shows us when the Lord will return. He shows us that from the "going forth of the commandment to cause to return and to build Jerusalem, unto the Anointed the Prince shall be seven weeks."

Seven weeks of years is equal to 49 years. But 49 years from when? In the following chapter we will see exciting evidence which shows this 49 year period should culminate in the very near future. If this is accurate, then there is very little time before Jesus Christ returns for those who are looking for Him!

Students of Bible Prophecy are well aware that the nation of Israel is one of the most vital keys to end-time events. Jesus told us that the generation to witness the birth of Israel would also witness His return (Matthew 24:32-34).

***I don't think it is the birth of Israel we should count one generation from, but from when Israel grew leaves (Mt. 24:32-34). This she did in the Six-Day War of 1967.

Israel formally declared her independence on May 14, 1948. Most prophecy students are very familiar with this date for the return of the Jewish people back into their land; however, this may not be the correct date for the start of the last 7 weeks of years (49 years). Notice the exact wording of Daniel's prophecy:

"Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build JERUSALEM unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks..." (Daniel 9:25)

Did you notice it? In the above verse, the Prophet Daniel is talking about Jerusalem! We had completely missed this before. As a result, we had incorrectly been using May 14, 1948, as the start of the 49 year period. Then last year the Lord opened our eyes.

...On 1/23/50, JERUSALEM was Proclaimed the Capital of Israel. The 49 years ended on 1/23/99!...

...What makes the above article so exciting, is how closely it follows what the Prophet Daniel was saying. We went back to the original Hebrew to get a better understanding. The following comes from the Interlinear Bible with Strong's Concordance Numbers in parenthesis:

"Know then & understand that from the issuing (#4161) of the word(#1697) to restore (#7725) and to rebuild (#1129) Jerusalem, to Messiah the Prince shall be 7 weeks." (Daniel 9:25)

Strong's Concordance gives us the following meaning for the #'s noted above:

#4161 - Issuing, going forth, act

#1697 - Word (from #1696)

#1696 - Pronounce {as in Pronouncement}

#7725 - Restore, turn back, with the idea of return to, home again, come back again

#1129 - To build, repair, set-up

Using the above meanings, Daniel 9:25, may be paraphrased as follows:

"Know and understand that from the issuing of the Proclamation to return back again and to set-up Jerusalem (as the Capital) until the time the Messiah the Prince comes shall be 49 years."

Notice how closely the above paraphrase is to the Proclamation issued on 1/23/50:

Jerusalem Proclamation

"WHEREAS Jerusalem, with the setting up of the Jewish State, has once again become the capital..."WHEREAS the Knesset resolved, on December 13 1949, to return its seat to Jerusalem and has since then been convening in the capital city...The above Proclamation was issued on 1/23/50 by the Government of Israel...

If the above interpretation is correct, then Daniel was telling us Jesus Christ will return 49 years after the announcement to return to set-up Jerusalem. This formal pronouncement was made on 1/23/50. The 49 years point to the current Jewish year of 5759....

***5759 has come and gone. This shows that this interpretation is wrong.

Before we look at recent corroboration for the ideas previously discussed, let's look further into the other unique insight which Newton had regarding Daniel's prophecy.

One Week

Newton's interpretation of Daniel's 1 week is rather brief:

"Yet shall he confirm the covenant with many for one week. He kept it, not withstanding his death, till the rejection of the Jews, and calling of Cornelius and the Gentiles in the seventh year after his passion."

Like a growing number of Bible scholars, Sir Isaac Newton felt that the 1 week portion of Daniel's prophecy related to Jesus Christ and not the anti-christ, as most modern day Bible scholars teach.

***It can't be Jesus. His people are Jews. They did not burn Jerusalem and the temple in 70 AD....

"And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week..." (Daniel 9:27)

The covenant referred to was the one mentioned earlier in his prayer:

"O, Lord, the great and awesome God who keeps his COVENANT of love with all who love him and obey his commands..." (Daniel 9:4 NIV)

Could it be as simple as Newton states? Didn't Jesus Christ confirm the "covenant with many" of Daniel's people, in other words, Israel?

Remember, Jesus said: "And He said unto them, this is my blood of the new testament (covenant), which is shed for many." (Mark 14:24)

***The New Testament became effective on the death of the testator. It is not just effective for 7 years. It is perpetual. The one that dies does not make a new Last Will and Testament after death.

Did Jesus confirm His covenant of love and mercy with Daniel's people for 7 years? According to Newton, there was a 7 year period between the death of Christ and the time the Gospel was sent out to the Gentiles at the calling of Cornelius. If this is correct, then this could be the fulfillment of Daniel's prophecy.

The new COVENANT was a "strengthened" one which was offered to the Jews from the time of the death of Christ until it was also sent out to the Gentiles. The word for "confirm" in the original Hebrew is "strengthened." If this was a period that lasted 7 years as Newton says, then it could represent the correct solution.

***The New Testament is perpetual, not for just 7 years.

Most modern Prophecy scholars interpret this verse to mean the anti-christ will confirm a 7 year peace treaty and then break it after 3 1/2 years. Let's listen to Newton's view:

"And in half a week he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease; that is, by the war of the Romans upon the Jews: which war, after some commotions, began in the 13th year of Nero, A.D. 67, in the Spring when Vespasian with an army invaded them; and ended in the second year of Vespasian, A.D.70 in autumn, September 7, when Titus took the city, having burnt the Temple 27 days before: so that it lasted three years and an half." Newton felt that this portion of Daniel's prophecy was fulfilled at the destruction of the Second Temple by the Romans in A.D. 70...

***It is not just 7 years from the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Cornelius' house to 70 AD.

"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars.....And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth near." (Luke 21:25 & 28)

Newton's observations should be taken seriously since his interpretations all appear to tie-in with significant dates in history. Recently, the Lord may have confirmed this in a most extra-ordinary way.

Gamma Ray Burst

On January 23, 1999, astronomers discovered a big flash brighter than all of the rest of the Universe put together. Scientists recorded the biggest explosion ever to occur in the heavens in what is known as a Gamma Ray Burst. This burst lasted approximately 40 seconds, yet it turned out to be the brightest object ever detected. It was a burst of energy equal to "BILLIONS OF YEARS OF LIGHT FROM THOUSANDS OF SUNS." Known as GRB 990123, it released 10,000 times more energy than the Sun could emit over a 5 billion year period or 10 to the power of 47 joules - a million billion billion billion times as great as that released at Hiroshima.

It certainly appears God has marked 1/23/99, in a most magnificent way. The fact that it also coincides with the 49 year period of Daniel's prophecy is beyond the realm of mere chance.

God's word is speaking today to those who have ears to listen, and signs in the stars are telling us the time of redemption is at hand.

***I agree that these signs seem to indicate that the Rapture is near.

Amazingly, this Gamma Ray Burst occurred in the Constellation of Bootes, which Bullinger noted:

"He is pictured as a man walking rapidly, with a SPEAR in his right hand and a sickle in his left hand. The Greeks called him Bo-o-tes, which is from the Hebrew root BO (to come), meaning 'THE COMING'

Bullinger goes on to describe how Bootes is a picture of the Lord coming as Judge. The recent Gamma Ray Burst took place right at the Tip of the Spear in the hand of Bootes, the Coming Judge. The heavens declare Judgement is near....

"After TWO DAYS he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence" (Hosea 6:2).

This is a prophecy that after two days or 2,000 years in our time frame, God will restore man to live in His presence. Two thousand years after the first coming of Christ, He will come again the Second time....

***I believe Jesus was born in BC 5. 2000 - BC 5 + 1 = 1996. The Second Advent was not in 1996. Even for those that think he was born in BC 3, the Second Advent was not in 1998, either. We have roughly 7 years between the Pre-Trib Rapture and the Second Advent. If he really meant the Rapture and not the Second Advent, it would be closer.

***I don't think Isaac Newton's interpretion is correct.
