Re: Hello and Thank You In the last several months I have had a thirst for Bible Prophesy that I have never experienced in my entire life. I started with the "Left Behind" series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. I then read and re-read Revelations in the Bible and sought out additional books on Bible Prophesies and the "End Times". After this I sought more information on the internet. Your web site has indeed provided in-depth and meaningful information and has filled and answered many of my questions! I have been sharing the information you have provided with friends and family. It is so understandable! You back everything with related scriptures. I just want to applaud your efforts, thank you and also tell you that you have brought so much enlightenment to my life. I do believe that I have positively influenced and witnessed to a number of people with the information you have provided.

I am hopeful that the Rapture is coming very soon as you have indicated. I am glad that through your website I will be "waiting and watching" and not taken by surprise. Marilyn you have added a whole new dimension to Bible Prophesy. Thank you and May God Bless You, Your Work and Efforts. I am certain that your ministry has touched thousands of lives! Sincerely

My reply

Thanks for all your kind words. I'm glad you are interested and ready. The Lord said for us to watch. You are doing that.

For me, I hope that after the Rapture, someone will copy my entire web site and place it wherever they wish, so that the foolish virgins can find out what to expect, what to do, and what not to do, during their 2300-day trial. They will need to know that all is not lost. There is another Rapture. They need to wash their robes in the blood of Christ to make them white, i.e., confess their sins. Above all things, they must not take the mark of the beast or worship the Beast or False Prophet. Agape

Do think the Sabbath oil missing from the five virgins could be the fact that they didn't rest on the Sabbath. I have studied this issue and decided we are to worship on Sunday and are no longer required to keep the Sabbath, but I have never been positive because it is the fourth commandment. Please let me know what you think about the Sabbath keeping in regards to the five virgins. God bless.

My reply

I think you can worship the Lord on whatever day you choose. Rom. 14:5 says, "One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind."

The oil represents the Holy Spirit. We want to be FILLED with the Holy Spirit. We should use I Jn. 5:9. We need to be sure we have confessed all known sins since we accepted Christ to break down any sin barrier between us and God. It seems that our lamp is our sealing when we first believe in Christ. That can't be lost. Besides that, we need our vessels, bodies of clay, filled with the Holy Spirit till our cup runneth over.

Maybe the wise virgins were to have a jar of extra oil for one more day because that next day was the Sabbath (Saturday). They needed an extra jar of oil to feed the lamp on Saturday, for they could not buy on Shabbat. Their lamp won't go out, but it will be sputtering. We want our lamps to shine brightly so we can be seen easily.

Col. 2:16,17 says, " Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an HOLYDAY, or of the new moon, or of the SABBATH DAYS: Which ARE A SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME; but the body is of Christ."

This coming Saturday is both an holyday, Pentecost, and a Sabbath day. I am hoping the Rapture will be this Pentecost. There are various ways to figure the 50-day Countdown of the OMER though, so Pentecost could be June 9, 10, or 11, but I favor Saturday, June 10, Jerusalem time.

In Zech 5:5-11, an EPHAH, the largest dry measure used for wheat (believers, Mt. 13:30), represents the world church. Verse 6 says, "This is their resemblance through ALL THE EARTH."

The OMER is also a dry measure, one tenth of an ephah. In Hebrew, it means a heap. Here is the interesting part. An omer was the measure of MANNA each person was to gather for his daily bread. Ex. 16:22 says, "on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, TWO OMERS for one man. In Ex. 16, 25,26, "Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a SABBATH unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in the field. Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none."

Two jars of oil, two omers of manna. It looks to me like we need an extra supply of the Holy Spirit on Friday, so it will last through Saturday. How does it look to you?

The "Spirit of Christ is the true manna, the true bread from heaven that we must have in us. Rom. 8:9 says, "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the SPIRIT OF GOD dwell in you. Now if any man have not the SPIRIT OF CHRIST, he is none of his."

Jn. 6:31-35 says, "Our fathers did eat MANNA in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst."

Rev. 2:17 says, "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden MANNA, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it."

Eph. 5:18 says, "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT." That is what we need to be ready for the Lord when he comes for his Bride. When we confess our sins, the Holy Spirit wells up within us like a fountain of living water.

Lu. 13:24-28 warns us. Jesus said, "Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door (of Heaven, Rev. 3:8; 4:1), and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence (where) ye are (i.e., their lamps were not bright enough): Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. There shall be WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves THRUST OUT."

Lu. 12:46 says, "The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder (cut him off, the foolish Laodicean virgin), and will appoint him his portion with the UNBELIEVERS" (2300 days of the Tribulation).

Mt. 24:51 adds, "And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the HYPOCRITES (pretenders): there shall be WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH."

At the marriage supper, the man without a wedding garment (the Bride wears white) is cast outside the door. There "shall be WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH. For many are called, but few are chosen" (Mt. 22:13,14).

Rev. 2:16 says, "Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth" (i.e., to cut them off).

Wise virgins need an EXTRA supply of oil to go with the Bridegroom when he comes. Agape -

The recent posts on P & C 526 concerning time zones got me thinking. Being a pilot I am somewhat familiar with how the time zone system works. Using the Jewish policy of a legal day beginning at 6 pm on what we think of as the day before and taking into account the International Date Line, there is only one "twinkle" of time that it will be Pentecost all over the world. That is at EXACTLY (the very microsecond or "twinkle" that splits 5:59:59 pm and 6:00:00 pm) 6 pm at the International Time Zone (Marshal Islands). Since Daylight Savings Time is an invention of man we'll disregard it for a moment. This will be 8 am (Jerusalem STANDARD Time) in Jerusalem on June 10th and interestingly enough exactly midnight (transition from June 9th to June 10th) right smack in the middle of the largest Christian nation on earth, the United States (Central STANDARD Time).

This will be exactly at 6 am, June 10th Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) (formerly referred to as Greenwich Mean Time or GMT). Most everyone can figure out there own time in the world from that reference time. But here are a few cities around the world (I've converted to DAYLIGHT time when needed): New York - 2 am Daylight Time, June 10th Dallas - 1 am Daylight Time, June 10th Denver - midnight Daylight Time, June 9th going to June 10th Los Angeles - 11 pm Daylight Time, June 9th Honolulu - 7 pm, June 9th Tokyo - 3 pm, June 10th Moscow - 9 am, June 10th Jerusalem - 9 am Daylight Time, June 10th Just thought this was interesting.

My reply

Thanks. Figuring this out for us is very thoughtful on your part. Many want to know, and I am too busy to figure them all out.

> > exactly midnight (transition from June 9th to June 10th) right smack in the middle of the largest Christian nation on earth, the United States (Central STANDARD Time)

Since you mentioned this as a Christian nation. I thought I'd point out an interesting scripture. II Sam. 7:23 asks, "what ONE (echad, UNITED) NATION in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you (Israel) great things and terrible, for thy land"? The United States was established as "one nation" under God, and our money still says, In God We Trust. We truly have done "great things" for Israel, but what is the "terrible" (yare, to fear, frightening) thing we will do for Israel? Time will tell, but it probably has something to do with the upcoming OWG, One World Government.

Israel should turn to the Lord enmass now and trust him to protect his land. Instead, they will turn to the OWG for protection and will end up being attacked by the united nations' army led by Gog (Eze. 38). At that point, only the Lord can save them, and he will. Too bad, they have to learn their lessons the hard way. That day will be the day of the terror of terrors, the asteroid impact that will destroy civilization as we know it. Thank the Lord that he will pull all believers out of here before impact. It will only fall on unbelievers. All Israel will be saved in that day. Isa. 66:8 says, "Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children." The fig tree will finally bear fruit.

Rev. 6:14-17 says, "And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" Re: Cherub Artistic Designs
...I am currently writing to you from Germany. I have read your book on Revelation and found it to be very interesting reading. Although I do agree on some of your points I think for the most part that it is a very informative and thought provoking book. With that out of the way I would like to address you with my main topic of interest. I have been doing some studying on the signs of the Zodiak and I do agree that they were originally given and named by Jehovah for His purpose and prophetic direction. As I was looking at all this I began to wonder about the artistic design of the cherubium on the curtains of the tabernacle. Now watch this. There are ten outer curtains with artistic designs of cherubium and one inner curtain or veil with artistic design of cherubium. This accounts for eleven signs of the Zodiac so where is number twelve. As I was looking through the signs of the Zodiac I beleive the Holy Spirit revealed to me that Gemeni or The Twins sat on top of the Ark of the Covenant. As I said this aloud I felt the presence of the Anointing of the Holy Spirit come over me in a huge wave! Anyway, I thought I would share this with you and let you form your own opinion. Sincerely

My reply

Let's see. I think the cube called the Holy of Holies represented Heaven, as if the box contained a sphere. The Holy Place is the size of two cubes. Thus, Heaven is the third heaven, as Paul tells us in II Cor. 12:2-4. I think they are (1) Mars, (2) Jupiter and (3) Saturn.

I think the cherubim on the 10 widths of the Tabernacle curtain represented the 10 original planets, that the one on the veil to the Holy of Holies shows that Heaven is a planet, and that the two on the Ark show that the Lord dwells on a planet that is between two other planets. I Sam. 4:4 says, "the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts (Christ, Isa. 44:6), which dwelleth between the cherubims." That seems to eliminate Mercury and Pluto as possible sites for Heaven.

Note: Because it is a visible morning star (Rev. 2:28), Uranus and Neptune are also eliminated. The visible light and clouds shining like gold (Job 37:3, 18-22, LXX) suggest Saturn. That it is our 3rd heaven (II Cor. 12:2-4) does too. That it has brightness around it like a rainbow (Eze. 1:27,28, Rev. 4:3) only fits Saturn.

Satan's planet Rahab split apart and became our Asteroid Belt. Isa. 51:9 says, "Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD (Christ, Isa.:53:1); awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut (lit., split) Rahab, and wounded the dragon (Satan)?"

The question now is could the cherubim also represent something else, the signs of the Zodiac through which the planets travel. To get it to fit, you had to assign the 2 on the Ark to one sign. I don't know. In my head, one thing going for the idea is that I do think the Pre-Wrath Rapture will take place when the sun is in Gemini, as now. Does the mercy seat represent what the Bride and Bridegroom are seated on in the heavenlies? hmmm. Food for thought. Agape

Today, after church service, my boys were playing on the attached church playground. One of the children asked, "is that bird real?" There in the tree was a mourning dove sitting in complete stillness on her nest. It was such a beautiful thing. Also we have had up to 10 pair feed on the seed we put out in the yard. Agape

My reply

I know what you mean. The mother on her nest we saw on top of the neighbor's porch pillar was within our reach and didn't move a feather, just looked at us. Agape

Do you believe the Rapture may occur in year 2000? I know we don't know for sure, but we speculate based on information we have. What do you think?

My reply

I would love to know how you got my email address and yet have never accessed my Web site. You can't get far without knowing when I am hoping for the Rapture. The title of my Home Page is Rapture: Pentecost, 2000. You can scroll down a couple of clicks and there it is again in case you missed the title, Rapture: Pentecost, 2000. Just above that, it has a link to Projected Chronology of End-time Events, June 2000 through May 2008. Please read the Space to Repent article on my Home page. It will give you the reasons for my hope that the Rapture will be this Pentecost. BTW, Pentecost is June 9,10, 2000. We should know soon.

What should we do to prepare? I Jn. 1:9 says, "If we CONFESS OUR SINS, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Lu. 21:36 says, "Watch ye therefore, and PRAY always, that ye may be ACCOUNTED WORTHY TO ESCAPE all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." Agape

Re Statement: I have never predicted anything in P&C523
Marilyn, when people call you on your missed dates you keep saying you are not a prophet and that you've never predicted the date of the rapture but in your book "Exit 2007" most all of your statements re a Pentecost rapture for 1998 are definitive statement (check them out, I'm sure you will agree) Never once in the book, best to my recollection, did you qualify your statements about a Pentecost rapture by saying, "I believe" or "It is my opinion that". Instead they were statements similar to "When the rapture happens on pentecost" and "The rapture on Pentecost will..." These would definitely qualify as predictions. Only after successive failures did you start to soften your stance and start saying the thing about not being a prophet and you could be wrong, etc. about a definitive date. If I am wrong please correct me but I've followed your site from afar since the 98' debacle and am pretty certain whereof I speak. No malice intended. Just friendly reproof.

My reply

The last paragraph in the introduction in the first book says, "As you read, "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Be sure to compare everything with the scriptures. I may make mistakes, but God never does."

Next to the last paragraph in the introduction in the second book says, "As you read, "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." Be sure to compare everything with the scriptures. I may make mistakes, but God never does."

The first reference to a date in the third book that I found says (p. 45), "Fifty years from when Israel became a nation in 1948 is 1998. If the coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost was a type of Christ coming for his Bride, the Rapture could take place on Pentecost Sunday, May 31, 1998, the very last time Pentecost will fall on Sunday before the Lord returns. It is the only time Pentecost falls on Sunday within the remainder of the 40-year generation since the Sign of the End of the Age, the Six-Day War of 1967. We won't have to wait long to find out. Personally, I expect the Rapture to take place on Pentecost, May 31, 1998. "Whether on that day or on some other day, the Rapture is soon."

I don't think I have ever said "I predict" anywhere. Agape

I just came across a very interesting site about Shavuot/Pentecost.
Please read it and tell me what you think. I drop by your site almost every day searching for insight into the scriptures and encouragement. Thank you. It must be very tedious at times. Lord willing we will meet soon.

***From Marilyn: Here are interesting snips from the web site:
Shavuot, by Rabbi Shlomo Riskin
...This is simple enough until we compare actual dates, and a discrepancy seems to emerge regarding the giving of the Torah on Sinai and the count of the fiftieth day.

The Bible tells us that the Jews took the Paschal lamb on the 10th day of Nisan, and the Midrash records that it fell on the Sabbath, which is why we call the Sabbath before the festival of Pesach the Great Sabbath (Shabbat Hagadol). Since the Israelites left Egypt on the 15th of Nisan (the Biblical date of the festival itself), they had to have left that first year on a Thursday, the fifth day after the Shabbat.

Since the fifty-day count begins the day after the first day of the festival ("..count for yourselves from the morrow after the day of rest.."), it turns out that the first day of the count that first year was on a Friday, and upon counting seven complete weeks, the fiftieth day must likewise fall out on a Friday, seemingly the day of the festival that the verse in Leviticus refers to as Shavuot. But the Midrash insists that the giving of the Torah on Mt. Sinai took place on the Sabbath! Well, the Sabbath that year was obviously the fifty-first day after the start of the count. Then according to the actual chronology, the fiftieth day was the day before the Israelites received the Torah from G-d?!...

***Note from Marilyn: I think since the Resurrection/Feast of Firstfruits in 30 AD was on Sunday, the 50th day must have been on Monday. From Sunday to Sunday would be 1 week; from Sunday to Sunday would be 2 weeks, etc. The 7th week would end on Sunday. That is 49 days. Then Pentecost would have been on Monday.
Book of Our Heritage, Hebrew original by Rabbi Eliyahu KiTov, English translation by Rabbi Nachmun Bulman

There is a custom of placing tree branches and boughs about the 'bimah' (Synagogue pulpit) in the Synagogue, to recall that Shavuot is the time of judgment for the fruit of the trees, so that prayers might be uttered in their behalf.
The Omer
The tension increased as the days passed, but so did the anticipation of going up to the Temple on the upcoming festival of Shavuot. Shavuot was the religious climax of the counting period. Since Shavuot also commemorated the Giving of the Torah on Mt. Sinai, observance of the holiday continued even in the post-Temple period when the offerings were discontinued. The period of the Omer thus became the natural bridge between Pesach and Shavuot. For what reason did the Children of Israel leave Egypt if not to receive the Torah? Thus the Jew counted the Omer as a bride and groom would count the days to their marriage: as each day passes, the anticipation grows.
A Mourning Period
...According to tradition, numerous students of Rabbi Akiva died as a result of a plague that raged during the days of the Omer counting. For that reason, it is customary to observe a a period of semi-mourning during this period, most prominently during the whole Hebrew month of Iyar, when weddings are not held, hair is not cut, and music is not heard. On one day only, the 18th Iyar and the thirty-third day of the Omer - in Hebrew: Lag B'Omer, after the acronym for the number 33 - this ban is lifted, since the plague is said to have ceased on that day.

***I like v. 19: "The FIRST of the FIRSTFRUITS of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God." I think the FIRST of the FIRSTFRUITS are the church saints, caught up at the FIRST TRUMP, the Pre-Trib Rapture on Pentecost. The LAST of the FIRSTFRUITS are the 144,000, caught up at the LAST TRUMP, the Pre-Wrath Rapture, on the Feast of Trumpets.

***The Jews say the first trump is at Pentecost, the last at Trumpets, and the Great Trump on the Day of Atonement. It fits.

***Ex. 34:22 shows that it is at the "feast of weeks"/Pentecost when the FIRSTFRUITS OF WHEAT HARVEST" are brought before the LORD. We are the wheat. Mt. 13:30 says, "gather the wheat into my barn."

> > New Year for trees - Trees are judged. Meggilah 31b

***Does anyone have more information on the New Year for trees. It fits the fig tree being judged on Pentecost in the parable of the barren fig tree in Lu. 13:6-9. Israel is judged in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year. If the Rapture is on the 3rd Pentecost, and the 70th week of Daniel starts on the 4th Feast of Weeks/Pentecost, it would all be wrapped up in a neat bundle.

> > [Day 19 of God's rain in Noah's day.] Genesis 7:4

Since it was before the Exodus, the rain probably began on Cheshvan 17 in the fall.

***It is true that Yeshua will keep Shavuot, but John 7:37 seems to be talking about the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles. Verse 2 names the "feast of tabernacles." Verse 14 names "the midst of the feast." Then Jn. 7:37-39 says, " In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for THE HOLY GHOST WAS NOT YET GIVEN; because that Jesus was not yet glorified." Agape
