Zeph. 1:18: Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.
I think that very shortly the awesome power of God will be revealed to mankind. I thank our dear Saviour that He will spare His flock from this time of horror.
...Bless you, Marilyn, for your bulldog determination and steadfastness. Love
PS: an interesting coincidence: the solar filament was captured on film on July 19th, the same time that the Camp David summit was being held, and the talks were zeroing in on the status of Jerusalem
Thanks for your kind words....Love
Hi! The above quote - and one other piece of Scripture - made me think of the possibility that the signs could be caused by some atmospheric phenomenon. Also when Sun and Moon turn bloody - later, during tribulation, the cause is most likely in the atmosphere. It may even be that there will be some sort of partially transparent cloud cover all over the Word ( as discussed long ago in early P/C:s). This kind of sign would be visible to everyone.
Gen. 1:14 says, "God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for SIGNS, and for seasons, and for days, and years." Here, the Sun, Moon and stars are for signs, not the atmosphere. Lu. 21:11says, "great signs SHALL (in the future) there be from heaven. But before all these..." Then it tells what will happen before these signs. This section ends with the captivity "and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled" (Lu. 21:24). This brings us to modern times.
Concerning our days, Lu. 21:25-27 says, "And there shall be SIGNS in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars (astrois, constellations); and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring. Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those THINGS WHICH ARE COMING (the Tribulation is coming) on the earth: for the powers of heaven SHALL BE shaken (still future). And then (last day of this age) shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory." This is the Sign of the Son of Man of Mt. 24:30, seen after the 6th seal is broken. The "THINGS WHICH ARE COMING" are the things of the Tribulation. They follow the signs in the Sun, Moon and constellations.
Then Lu. 21:28 says, "And when these things BEGIN to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." The first things mentioned are the SIGNS in the Sun, Moon and constellations, not atmospheric phenomenon.
The atmospheric problems start after the 6th seal is opened on the last day of this age. Rev. 6:12 says, "when he had opened the sixth seal...the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood." This is caused by smoke, when the small rocks begin to fall to Earth on the last day of this age. Acts 2:19,20 says, " I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of SMOKE. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable DAY OF THE LORD come." By the last verse of Rev. 6, "the great day of his wrath is come," so at 6:00 PM, the first day of the millennial Day of the Lord has begun.
In Luke 21:29-36, Jesus is talking about our days, BEFORE THE PRE-TRIB RAPTURE. He said, "Behold the fig tree (Israel), and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand (the Six-Day War of 1967 started June 5; summer started June 21). So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled (1967 + 40 = 2007). Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE ALL THESE THINGS that SHALL come to pass (after the escape), and to stand before the Son of man." This escape is the Pre-Trib Rapture. All these things that shall come after the Rapture are the things of the Tribulation.
Rev. 3:10 says, "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee FROM (ek, out of ) the hour of temptation (peirasmou, trial), which shall come upon all the world, to try (peirasai) them that dwell upon the earth." Isa. 57:1 says, "The righteous perisheth (abad, ESCAPES) , and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil TO COME."
I think the signs we are looking for now are in the Sun, Moon and constellations. The most significant seem to be the two anchor crosses, one in the constellation VELA, the other in the Sun.
Spaceflight Now Breaking news has some interesting new information about VELA, the constellation where the new star NOVA VELORUM was seen on Sivan 7, Pentecost, May 22, 1999, and then the Double Anchor sign was photographed June 6, 2000, in the same place. Now, a star in VELA, the sails of the ship ARGO (THE COMPANY OF TRAVELERS) has been found to have at least two planets orbiting it. A lot has been going on in VELA.
"Today at the International Astronomical Union General Assembly in Manchester, UK, we report the discovery of a second extra-solar planetary system with two Saturnian planets around the star HD 83443....
"HD 83443 is a fairly bright star of 8.2 visual magnitude, slightly less massive than the Sun (0.8 solar masses). It lies (in) the constellation Vela, and is 141 light years away from the solar system....
"The new planetary system around HD 83443 is unusual in more than one way, because it has two very low mass gaseous giant planets, and both orbit very close to the star." Agape
37 And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour? As you said "He cometh" refers to His first coming. At that time the Jews were asleep and didn't know the time of His visitation.
38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. The disciples who were Jews entered into tribulation, persecution, betraying Jesus and scattering before the crucifixion and hiding out in the days after the crucifixion. We saw how Peter's spirit was willing, (v. 29 "Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.") Yet His flesh was week in denying the Lord three times.
39 And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words. "He went away and prayed" refers to His ascension where He is now at the right hand of the Father, "ever living to make intercession for the saints" (Heb. 7:25). Notice it says that he repeated the same words of verse 38, "Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak." Why? Because after His ascension, the church was to be birthed on Pentecost and the church, which was to include gentiles, was to go through great tribulation and persecution in the years leading up to and following the destruction of the temple in 70 AD.
40 And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him. "When he returned" refers to the upcoming return for the Bride. Notice it says that he found them asleep. The church to a great degree is "asleep in the light". There is going to a major shock to the many who have not pressed in to intimacy with Jesus, . . . who are walking clothed with the ways of the world instead of the robes of righteousness, . . . who are overcome with worry and and the pressures of life (inwardly oriented) instead of walking as an overcomer fulfilling the great commission (outwardly ministry oriented).
Notice that these that are asleep did not know what to say, "neither wist they what to answer him", when he comes. Matthew 7:21-23 says, "Not every one that SAITH unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven (go to heaven in the rapture); but he that doeth the will of my Father (God's will is His Word. They love Him and obey His commandments) which is in heaven. 22 Many will SAY to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? (They focus on works on not on the intimacy they were supposed to have with God.) 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew (were intimate with) you: depart (be parted from) from me... The saints this applies to before the first rapture have an opportunity to fill their lamps with oil and as the Laodiceans were told, "go buy gold tried in fire (tribulation)" and be raptured when Jesus comes for the tribulation saints at the end of the shortened tribulation. It is interesting that the verses following this passage in Matthew 7:21-23 talks about the wise and foolish that built their house on the rock and on the sand. This correlates with the wise and foolish virgins. The wise virgins have built their lives on the rock, the Word of God and will be taken to the Rock, Heaven. The foolish virgins have built their lives on the shifting sands of being conformed to the world (not being transformed by the renewing of their mind continually with the Word)... and as a result they will be left to the morass of the world and the quicksand of the tribulation.
I am convinced that these believers that are asleep that will be left when Jesus comes this second time for His Bride, will be a vast majority of all who are born again. In Matthew 22 after Jesus talks about who is going to the Wedding, he summarizes in verse 14 by saying, "For many are called, but few are chosen". Chosen for what? Chosen to be the Bride. It is interesting to me that in Revelation 5 it mentions a specific number in heaven after the rapture of the Bride. Verse 11 says "And I beheld,... the elders (the mature ones, the bride): and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands." If there is a literal significance to that number, and I personally believe there is, then ten thousand times ten thousand equals one hundred million and a thousand times a thousand equals 1 million. So quantitatively this represents a bride that numbers 100 million plus how ever many more millions, thousands of thousands represent (probably between 103 million and 199 million). That number sounds large, but compared to the over 6 billion on the earth, and the many that have already lived and died,... it is a very small percentage. (200 million is only 3.3 % of 6 billion) Contrast that verse in chapter 5 with the account of how many are in heaven in chapter 7 after the second rapture of the tribulation saints has occurred. Revelation 7:9 says, "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands". Here at the end of the shortened tribulation after the tribulation saints are raptures, it doesn't say a specific number of individuals are there, but that the number in heaven is so great that no one can number them!! Also if you look at the seven churches in Revelation 2 and 3 there is only one, the Philadelpians that fits the profile of the Bride and are promised to be given the name of the New Jerusalem (the name of the bride in chapter 21).
That leads me to believe that the great later rain harvest of souls that everyone is expecting, will not occur before the rapture of the Bride, but during the tribulation. Matthew 24:14 says, "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." End of what? End of the shortened tribulation when all of the body of Christ are in heaven, both the Bride and the tribulation saints. Evidently at the beginning of the tribulation, the foolish virgins, the believers that weren't ready at the first rapture of the Bride, got their lamps burning again and became the overcomers that they were supposed to be all along. Psalm 40:3 says that "many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD". What is the "it" that they will see? Verse describes the rapture, . . . being taken out of a horrible pit (earth) out of the miry clay (our bodies) to have our feet set on the rock (heaven) to sing a new song. The major harvest will happen after the Bride is gone. Then "many" will trust in the Lord. That is a lot of expounding on one verse. Let's move on to the next verse.
41. And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. "He cometh the third time" refers to this second rapture of the tribulation saints at the end of a shortened tribulation that we just referred to in the commentary on verse 40. I believe that this verse refers to two groups, one that still "sleeps" and one that "takes their rest". The group that takes their rest are the tribulation saints that get raptured to perfect rest in heaven. The group that still sleeps are those don't wake up until after the rapture. This will include Israel, who will be saved in a day, and those gentiles, that as a result of finally turning to the Lord, will be protected during the seven months of wrath. These are the sheep that will be told at the Judgment of the Nations to enter into the kingdom (the earthly millennial kingdom) of God. They will have an earthly inheritance not yet receiving resurrected bodies. The "hour is come" can refer to the beginning of the wrath of God on the Day of the Lord at the noon hour. I think it also is interesting that this verse refers to the attitude of Jesus before the hour comes (noon) of wrath. Jesus attitude is, "IT IS ENOUGH"... enough persecuting and killing the tribulation saints (why the trib. is shortened) and enough of this Gog Magog invasion of my people Israel.
42 Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand. "Rise up, let us go" is a reference to this rapture of the tribulation saints we have been talking about that occurs the third time Jesus comes. This verse eludes to the one that was incarnated by Satan, the False Prophet, being at hand after this rapture of the tribulation saints and the subsequent wrath of God. The battle of Armageddon, which follows the wrath of God and the second advent of Jesus (not the rapture, His coming FOR His saints but His coming in glory WITH us His saints) will be when the False Prophet and the Beast is at hand. Unlike the brother that wrote you and thought that "he that betrayeth me" was symbolic of the anti christ and the beginning of the tribulation, I believe it has to be the False Prophet and the time following the end of the tribulation. The first beast, the anti christ is not Satan incarnated as Judas was, but is only demon possessed. Only the False Prophet is incarnated by Satan after the abomination of desolation in the middle of the tribulation.
My ministry, like yours, is focused solely on waking up the believers that are asleep through seminars, concerts and books that I write. I got very busy the last few days, so I didn't get a chance to send you my book, "Be The Bride, volume one, Another Look at Raptures, Wrath, Resurrections and the Return". I will get it out to you Monday. If any of your readers would be interested in details about the book, they can email me at email@example.com.
Time is short. We have much to do to sound the trumpet, and say, "behold, look and see, the Lord truly is coming", . . . for those that will Be the Bride!
Your Brother in Jesus, Daniel Rydstedt
In looking at the scripture again, I noticed how close Mk. 14:38 and Lu. 21:36 are. Mark said, "Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation." Luke said, "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." It reminds me of Rev. 3:10 too. It says, "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."
> > in Revelation 5 it mentions a specific number in heaven after the rapture of the Bride. Verse 11 says "And I beheld, . . . the elders (the mature ones, the bride): and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands."
It seems that the Bride is numbered, and the rest of the Body of Christ is not. The 144,000 are numbered and they are also said to be virgins without fault before the throne of God (Rev. 14:4,5).
> > Unlike the brother that wrote you and thought that "he that betrayeth me" was symbolic of the anti christ and the beginning of the tribulation, I believe it has to be the False Prophet and the time following the end of the tribulation.
Either time, the False Prophet could be nigh. He will not be Satan-possessed until Mid-Trib, but he will be revealed when he and the Beast confirm the covenant at the beginning of the Tribulation.
Thanks for the book. I can't wait to read it. Agape
Signs of the coming child, like when Christ first arrived is signified in the heavens. This time it isn't with a single star but a set of constellations. The woman (the constellation of Virgo) gave birth to the child (signified by the moon), while clothed with the sun (just after sunset) with a crown of twelve stars on her head The constellation of Coma Bernice). This happened on the Sabbath, September 12, 1999 (Yom Terruah). Many in the past have tried to spiritualize this but we know it is a literal sign in the sky since this is what Scripture states "now a sign appeared in the heavens."
Now if Israel is already born in 1967 what could this birth be referring to? On possible explanation would be the spiritual Israel. The Israel that is back God's grace and is obedient to Him.
The next event is about to happen. Revelations 12:3-4 talks about another great sign in the sky. The constellation of the dragon is perched right above the woman to catch the child. And with a flick of his tail, drew a third of the stars and threw them down to Earth. Everyone is currently watching the skys for what happened to comet 76p (Kouhotek). It flew extremely close to mars and especially Mars moon Phobies. The problem is that it is on the other side of the sun right now and we can't see what happened.
People are postulating that it hit either Mars or Phobies and something cataclysmic has happened that is sending debris our way. In support of this, observers watching another comet, comet leiner observed it explode as it passed in front of the sun. One strong possibility is that it has hit some of the debris from this impact on Mars or Phobies and disintegrated it. If this in fact has happened one of the possible outcomes of this will be a dust cloud of debris heading our way soon followed by large chunks of Mars, Phobies and/or comet 76p.
As the debris passes the sun and heads our way, it will begin to block the suns rays and make the sun and moon dark and make it very difficult to see many of the stars (perhaps about a third?).
The dragon is standing before the woman ready to devour the child. Is this a picture of what is happening in Israel right now? Are all of the Arab nations (and others) standing before Israel ready to devour her if she decides to go ahead and build the third temple? Obviously the answer is yes.
Revelations 12:5 sounds like it is talking about Christ and his birth. However, this prophecy of John's was after his death and when Christ was born, He did not rule all nations with a rod of Iron. This prophecy is yet to come.
Could it be that Israel will have a brief time of iron rule coming ahead? This will give them time to build the temple and have the end time events ready. Or, the rule with a rod of iron could refer to the time after the tribulation. Since this appears to be very sequential, it would seem that if that were the case then this verse would be out of context. Typically Christ is not seen as needing a rod of iron to rule during the 1000 years of peace.
A possibility would be that it could be one of the two witnesses (or both) that are to be present during the tribulation. At the end of 3 ½ years they will be taken up. Satan is cast down from heaven and decides to indwell the dead anti-Christ and Israel heads for the hills and is protected by God.
At any rate. The heavens are declaring that the clock is about to start ticking. Keep looking up. Our redemption is at hand. Maranatha
I won't rule out that this sign may have already taken place as you mention, but I'm not 100% convinced that this sign has already happened. We are to have signs in the Sun, Moon and constellations before the Rapture, but I think this one of the woman TRAVAILING comes Mid-Trib, when the Messianic Jews in Judea have to flee to the wilderness.
In Rev. 11, we have the 1260-day first half of the Tribulation, when the two witnesses prophesy. In Rev. 12:6,14, we have the 1260 days of the last half, called the Great Tribulation. Two signs appear in the heavens at the junction of the halves. One is "a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads." I think the heads represent (1) Babel, (2) Babylon, (3) Media-Persia, (4) Greece, (5) Rome, (6) OWG under the Beast, and (7) OWG under the False Prophet. In Rev. 17:10, the 6th is in power as the Tribulation begins, but here in Rev. 12, even the 7th head is wearing a crown. Therefore, I think it is Mid-Trib, when the war is fought in the heavens, Satan is cast down (12:7-9) and enters into the False Prophet as he comes to full power over both the One World Government and the United Religions.
Since "another wonder in heaven...a great red dragon" appears Mid-Trib, I expect the sign of the woman to also appear Mid-Trib. As I see it, the man child caught up to Heaven Mid-Trib stands for the two witnesses, who are resurrected and "ascend up to heaven in a cloud" in Rev. 11:12.
> > As the debris passes the sun and heads our way, it will begin to block the suns rays and make the sun and moon dark and make it very difficult to see many of the stars (perhaps about a third?).
I think the smoke that darkens the Sun and Moon comes after the 6th seal is broken in Rev. 6:12. That is at the junction of this age and the millennial Day of the Lord, not now before the Pre-Trib Rapture takes place.
> > Revelations 12:5 sounds like it is talking about Christ and his birth. However, this prophecy of John's was after his death and when Christ was born, He did not rule all nations with a rod of Iron. This prophecy is yet to come.
I agree. Psa. 2:49 says, "the LORD shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his WRATH, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt BREAK THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel." We see this mentioned again in Rev. 2:26,27: "And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
> > A possibility would be that it could be one of the two witnesses (or both) that are to be present during the tribulation. At the end of 3 ½ years they will be taken up.
Good thinking. I think it is the two witnesses also.
> > At any rate. The heavens are declaring that the clock is about to start ticking. Keep looking up. Our redemption is at hand.
Surely it can't be long now. Everything is falling right into place for the Tribulation to begin. We already have seen the Anchor Cross signs in the constellation VELA and in the Sun. We had a blood Moon recently too. Lu. 21:25,28 says, "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars (astrois, constellations) ...And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."
