The Harlot of Babylon or the one world religion rides on the back of the seven headed beast or antichrist until such time as he decides to destroy this religion as being no longer necessary. We see that the ten horns of the beast, i.e. the ten rulers (Rev. 17:10) and the antichrist turn on the harlot and destroy her (Rev. 17:16). As to the seven kings, five had fallen at the time that John had written the book of Revelation. Since John alludes to seven hills or mountains where the Harlot sits as being the capital, and that she wears both purple and red garments as the emperors did, this likely refers to the Roman Empire and the seven kings as roman emperors or rulers. One was still alive (Domitian?) and one was yet to come (antichrist in the form of a revived Roman empire?). Who would abide for but a little while. Likely 3 1/2 years. This seventh king which was...is not...and is about to come, I see explained by the fact that the antichrist will rise to power for the first 42 months. Then die and go down to the abyss at the midpoint of the tribulation. Then come up out of the abyss as the eighth king indwelt by Satan (Revelation 17:8) with full authority and power for the last 42 months (Rev. 13:5). This same antichrist was also the seventh king (Rev. 17:11). It is this miraculous resurrection that will fool the masses into believing that the antichrist's claims of god hood are valid. It won't hurt that the false prophet will call down fire from above to destroy anyone who disagrees. Then there are the idols made of the first beast that was killed and then came back to life (Rev. 13:14) that the false prophet forces everyone to worship. Also, we see both the antichrist and the false prophet who are both thrown alive into the lake of fire (as seen in Rev. 19:20). This is how I see it. Please do not take this as criticism. I am just curious how you reconcile all this. I may be way off base. In which case I am sure you will enlighten me. Thanks and God bless both you and your family.
The thing that helped me get things straight in my head was when I finally realized that The Revelation of Jesus Christ was the Rapture. That is when Christ is revealed to us as the Almighty as seen in Rev. 1. The book of Revelation is written as if it is the script Christ dictated for his dramatic production, a fast moving miracle play that is directed by Christ and narrated by John. Both are cast as actors with the main supporting cast as angels. Like our movies, it starts with a Preview of coming attractions, in this case the Preview of the Rapture.
The setting of the play, or time of this viewing, is when the Rapture is at hand, as it actually is today. This is particularly written to us, his Church. The Rapture is "at hand" in both the 1st and the last chapters (1:3; 22:10). In 22:13, Jesus says, "I Jesus have sent mine angel ('the angel of the LORD' of the Old Testament) to testify unto you these things in the CHURCHES." Jesus signs off with, "Surely I come quickly." He comes quickly at the Rapture (2:5; 3:11). It is as if Jesus stands on the pinnacle of the Rapture and looks both backward and forward through time to describe events that he, being omniscient, sees.
In the 1st and last chapters, Christ bookends the script with declarations of exactly who he is. This authenticates the whole script. As the angel of the Lord, he produces the whole thing. In the 1st chapter, he offers a blessing for those who read and keep the things written herein (1:3). In the last chapter, he issues the warning in verses 18 and 19. He says, "I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
After John gives the Introduction, Jesus speaks words that we will probably hear right after the Rapture. In 1:8, we hear the great voice that was once heard by 5000 people without microphone or amplifiers, the voice of great authority saying, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning (the 'LORD of hosts' of the Old Testament) and the ending (the Lord Jesus Christ of the New Testament), saith the Lord, which is (at the Rapture), and which was (at the First Advent), and which is to come (at the Second Advent), THE ALMIGHTY." In 1:17,18, he says, "Fear not; I am the first AND the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death."
In the last chapter, he says, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning AND the end, the first AND the last" (22:13). "I am the root (YHVH of hosts) AND the offspring of David (Jesus), and the bright and morning star" (his throne is on the bright and morning star) (22:16).
This agrees with Isa. 44:6: "Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first (YHVH King of Israel), AND I am the last (YHVH of hosts, the redeemer); and beside me there is no God." II Cor. 5:19 explains "that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself."
This also agrees with Isa. 9:6. It says, "unto us a child is born (inheriting his humanity from his mother), unto us a son is given (inheriting his deity from his Father): and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, The Prince of Peace."
This agrees with John 10:30: "I and my Father are one." No wonder he said, "Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you" (John 16:23). In John 14:7-11, he said, " If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake." If we didn't get it from the gospel of John, we will finally get it at the Rapture.
In the Preview of the Rapture in Rev. 1, John is caught up to Heaven. He sees the Lord in all his glory. Then in 1:19, the Lord tells him to "Write the things which thou hast seen (before the Rapture), and the things which are (at the time of the Rapture), and the things which shall be hereafter" (after the Rapture). This script is organized under these headings. The things that are "hereafter" the Rapture (4:1) are futher organized by the 7 seals. Out of the 7th seal comes 7 trumpet judgments. Out of the 7th trumpet comes the 7 vails that fill up the wrath of God cast on unbelievers.
Between the 6th and 7th seal, the 6th and 7th trumpet, and the 6th and 7th vial are parenthetic portions, probably because the Tribulation is parenthetic to the 6000 years and the 7th millennium. There are a few other parenthetic portions necessary to give the church some details she must have to understand what is written for her. In these sections, we have to look for match marks to see where to place them in the overall picture. For instance, the 7th vail is poured out in Rev. 16. Rev. 17 is parenthetic. It goes back to when the Rapture has just taken place. In 17:14, "they that ARE with him (Christ) ARE called, and chosen, and faithful." At the Rapture, the 10 kings "have received no kingdom as yet" (17:12). As the Tribulation starts in Rev. 13:1, all 10 kings are crowned.
Rev. 17 orients us in the overall Plan of the Ages, starting with the Tower of Babel and ending with Satan himself as the "eighth." Since the setting of Rev. 17 is right after the Rapture takes place, the king that "is" is not the old Roman Empire, as many think. It is the Beast of Rev. 13:2-10, which I think is the Tribulation Pope.
The great red dragon with 7 heads, which is Satan, energizes and controls the 7 world empires, (1) Babel, (2) Babylon, (3) Media-Persia, (4) Greece, (5) Rome, (6) Ecclesiastical Rome heading up One World Government and United Religions during the 1st half of the Tribulation, and (7) the False Prophet heading up OWG and UR during the last half, the Great Tribulation. At the time of the Rapture, 5 have fallen, the 6th" is," and the 7th is "not yet come." When the 7th comes to full power, "he must continue a SHORT SPACE" (17:10). This is the last half of the Tribulation that gets shortened for the elect's sake (Mt. 24:22).
Rev. 17:11 says, "the beast (Satan) that was (in Judas Iscariot), and is not (is not in man at the Rapture), even he is the eighth (the tail of the great red dragon), and is of the seven (empowers the 7), and goeth into perdition. Satan goes into the False Prophet Mid-Trib, when the False Prophet "spake as a dragon" in Rev. 13:11. Thus, the 7th head (the False Prophet) is also the tail (Satan). Isa. 9:15 tells us, "The ancient and honourable (the Pope), he is the head (the 6th); and the prophet that teacheth lies (the 7th), he is the tail" (Satan possessed).
We see both the "ancient and honourable" Beast and the Satan-possessed False Prophet in Rev. 13. First, we see the great red dragon rise up out of the sea (nations, 17:15). Upon all 7 heads, we see "the name of blasphemy" (Pontifex Maximus), which was introduced to the world to designate the High Priest of the Mystery Religion of Babylon. The 1st Beast is the "ancient and honourable" (13:2-10). The 2nd beast is the Satan-possessed "prophet that teacheth lies" (13:11-18). He speaks "as a dragon" (Satan) (13:11).
I think the Beast, the 1st, is the Pontifex Maximus that heads up "MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH" (17:5). This is the REMNANT of the Mystery Religion of Babylon started at the Tower of Babel--AFTER the true Bride of Christ has already been raptured, caught up to be with Christ in Heaven (17:14).
Therefore, Rev. 18:4 says, "I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." These are not the raptured ones, but the foolish virgins left behind, for chapter 18 starts out, "And AFTER these things, I saw." The Pre-Trib Rapture has already taken place in 17:14. In Rev. 18:3, "ALL NATIONS HAVE drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication (HAVE JOINED WITH HER), and the kings of the earth HAVE committed fornication (JOINED) with her, and the merchants of the earth ARE (in the Tribulation) waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies." At that time, Babylon the great "IS become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit" (18:2).
In Rev. 13:3, we see one of the heads of the great red dragon, "as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed." This could be Imperial Rome (the 5th empire), when the power was transferred to Ecclesiastic Rome (the 6th empire), but it is more likely to be talking about the Beast, the 6th head. The False Prophet "causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed" (13:12). He says "that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live" (13:14). This Pope was shot and lived, but I think this might be something that will happen Mid-Trib that will incapacitate the Beast so that the False Prophet can assume leadership of all that the Beast was leader of, the OWG and the UR. Rev. 13:4 says, "they WORSHIPPED the beast." Rev. 13:7,8 says, "power was given him over ALL KINDREDS, AND TONGUES, AND NATIONS. And ALL that dwell upon the earth shall WORSHIP him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb." All nations are in the OWG, all religions in the United Religions. The False Prophet will exercise "all the power of the first beast" (13:12), plus more.
The False Prophet comes out of "the earth" (Israel). He has "two horns like a lamb (Satan in him has 2 comings in the body of a man, as Christ has 2 comings), and he spake as a dragon" (Satan).
> > Revelation states that the first beast, the seven headed beast, is the one who is worshipped. It is when the first beast is killed and then miraculously healed that the world follows after him.
The False Prophet is Satan-possessed after Satan is cast out of heaven "into the earth" (12:9). He "shall ascend out of the bottomless pit" (Rev. 17:8) and enter into the False Prophet, who will immediately go to the temple to sit there "shewing himself that he is God" (II Thess. 2:4). It seems that Satan wants to be worshipped as God in the False Prophet, and the Beast to be worshipped as the Pontifex Maximus, his High Priest. The Beast has been worshipped all during the 1260 days, the 1st half of the Tribulation (13:8), but in the Great Tribulation, the False Prophet will say that they should make an image to the Beast (13:14). After Armageddon is over, Satan will be cast into the Lake of Fire "where the beast and the false prophet are" (20:10).
> > The false prophet's job is to emulate Elijah by calling down fire from heaven and other such "miracles" to legitimize the worship of the antichrist (false messiah). But, he can only do these miracles within the presence of the first beast.
I think the False Prophet will do miracles primarily to gain worship himself and secondarily to get people to worship his High Priest. The FP is the Satan-possessed 7th head of the great red dragon. "And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast (the 6th head) before him (as Satan empowered the other 5 heads of the great red dragon), and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed." The Beast does not empower the False Prophet, Satan does. The FP "deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which HE HAD POWER TO DO" (13:14). The Beast watches, but does not empower the False Prophet. It was Satan that gave the Beast "his power, and his seat, and great authority" (13:2) as well as giving those things to the False Prophet--plus more. Only the Satan-possessed FP has "power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed" (13:15). Evidently, the 2 witnesses are the 1st to die because they will not worship the image.
> > I see the antichrist as being indwelt after his "murder" at the middle of the tribulation
I see 2 men, not one that becomes the 2nd. Dan. 7:24-26 says, "the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise (they give their power to the Beast, Rev. 17:12): and ANOTHER (the False Prophet) shall rise after them; and he (the FP) shall be DIVERSE (different) from THE FIRST (the Beast), and he (the FP) shall subdue three kings (of the 10). And he shall speak great words against the most High (Christ), and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time (the second 1260 days, the Great Tribulation). But the judgment shall sit (Christ's Judgment of the Nations at the end of the 2nd 1260 days), and they shall take away his (actually Satan's) dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end" (of Armageddon). The FP (7th head) is deposed on the 2300th day (Dan. 8:13,14), the Day of God's Wrath, the end of the shortened Tribulation, but Satan comes out of the FP and operates as "the eighth" (Rev. 17:11), the tail of the great red dragon, until Christ takes dominion away from him.
> > We see that the ten horns of the beast, i.e. the ten rulers (Rev. 17:10) and the antichrist turn on the harlot and destroy her (Rev. 17:16)
I think they will burn what is left of Vatican City after everything possible has been moved to the new headquarters at literal Babylon, including the obelisk, symbol of pagan religion. Vatican City will be small potatoes to the grand new quarters in the costliest city ever to be built, the capitol of the world. This certain rich man will probably say, "This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods" (Lu. 12:18).
> > It is this miraculous resurrection that will fool the masses into believing that the antichrist's claims of god hood are valid
Then why are miracles and calling down of fire necessary to do the job? God bless and agape
Thanks for reminding me of this verse. We are living in the days when the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Therefore, we should really pay close attention to what this says. We are the precious fruit of the Earth. The Lord seems to be waiting until both the former rain of Tishri and the latter rain of Nisan are "over and gone" (Song of Sol. 2:11). What follows that? Ascension Day, on the 40th day of the counting of the Omer, and Pentecost, on the 50th day, two possibilities.
> > Jesus's first appearance fulfilled the Spring Festival Days in order. Jesus's second appearance 2000 years later fullfills the Fall Festival Days in order. The first Fall Festival is the Feast of Trumpets and the first event is the taking away of the Bride of Christ.
I am not convinced that Christ will fulfill the Fall Festivals in order at the Second Advent. According to Hos. 6:3, he will come unto us as the rain, the former and latter rains. I think he came as the former rain on Tishri 1 at the 1st Advent and will come as the latter rain on Nisan 1 at the 2nd Advent. Eze. 29:17 sets the day as Nisan 1, "in the first month, in the first day of the month." Then verse 21 says, "In that day (Nisan 1) will I cause the horn (king) of the house of Israel (Christ) to bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth (the Word, the Logos) in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD." This is appropriate for Nisan 1 is the first day of the Jewish Regnal Year. I think Christ will return on the same day all the other Israelite kings officially took office.
I believe that the Feast of Trumpets will be the 1st day of the millennial Day of the Lord. It is a day like no other ever. On it I expect the Coronation of Christ, the Pre-Wrath Rapture, the Marriage of the Lamb, the Judgment Seat of Christ, and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, all in Heaven. On Earth, I expect it to be the Day of God's Wrath poured out on unbelievers.
> > Feast of Trumpets (Lev. 23:23-24) Jesus the Messiah will come the second time, "with the sound of the trumpet" (Matt. 24:27-31) for His bride the Church (II Peter 3:10, Matt. 24:36)
This is the 2nd Rapture on the 1st day of the Day of the Lord. Mk. 13:27 explains, "then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the EARTH (the Pre-Wrath Rapture) to the uttermost part of HEAVEN" (those taken up in the Pre-Trib Rapture).
> > And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: John 2:1 (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday)
I had not thought of this as meaning Tuesday, but it could. Thanks.
> > Jesus traditionally has been said to have been born in the gate of the sun of Virgo, Aug 22 - Sept 21, and on Tishri 1. Likewise the Virgins would logically be taken up in the sign of Virgo. Likewise expected in Spring or Summer by many references on the M.J. Agee web site. Summer ends around Sept 22nd.
I agree that Jesus was born on Tishri 1. I expect the Pre-Trib Rapture in the spring and the Pre-Wrath Rapture on Tishri 1. Agape
I was motivated to calculate how long 150 days would be from November 15th of 2000. This was our day of Noah being in the ark when the rain started. The Bible says the stay in the ark was 150 days. What I came up with was the last day of the triple Feasts of the spring, April 14th of 2001. You will have to excuse me for once again going into my Barley crusade yet once again, but this is the Firstfruit of those Feasts.
Now I read on the newsnet that the elections in Israel are going to be between March and May. How interesting that April is being described. Now for something that only you and my closest Spirit Filled Believers would understand me saying. I know for a fact that I have been shown prophecy several times in the last several years. I knew Mr. Barak would win the election before the process barely was under way in Israel. I knew that Mr Bush would be the President long before they published polls prior to the election. You know what is interesting? I draw totally blank on who would succeed Mr. Barak, or who would succeed Mr. Bush, should an "event" remove him from office. I am intrigued by this, because it is very different than what I have been shown in the past. At this point in time, my conclusion is that I don't have to be shown, because I won't be here to see either of the successors take office. Once again, if the elections were held in Israel around the Spring Feasts, perhaps we would not be here on April 14th of 2001. Agape
Rev. 14:14-16 only. The 2nd reaping is the following Wrath of God.
> > the stay in the ark was 150 days. What I came up with was the last day of the triple Feasts of the spring, April 14th of 2001. You will have to excuse me for once again going into my Barley crusade yet once again, but this is the Firstfruit of those Feasts.
***Apr. 14 is Nisan 21, the last day of the 7 days of Unleavened Bread, which refers to Christ. Nisan is also the month of the latter rain. To me, Ascension Day or Pentecost seem more likely. Agape
The most significant and widely used concept in Biblical interpretation that involves timing of prophetic events is the interpretation that the seven days of creation of Genesis are prophetic of seven thousand years of time for man on this earth... II Peter 3:7-12 - In the midst of a passage on the last days and the Second Coming of Christ, Peter inserts key prophetic information "that 1 day is with the Lord as 1000 years and 1000 years as one day": But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
***It looks like the Day of God may be used to refer to the 1st day of the millennial Day of the Lord. Thus, the Day of God must be the same as the Day of God's Wrath. That agrees with Rev. 16:14, which tells us of the "spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that GREAT DAY OF GOD ALMIGHTY."
John 11:1-44 Messiah portrayed the resurrection at the end of 6 days /1000 years. deliberately took 6 days (waiting 2 days until Lazarus died to leave for Bethany in verse 6 and arriving 4 days after Lazarus had died in verse 17) to reach the tomb of Lazarus (in Bethany) so that He could raise him at the end of the 6th day. This was prophetically stated by Martha in verse 24 "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day."
***Thanks for figuring out the 6-day delay concerning the resurrection of Lazarus. It looks like there are 2 ranks in the First Resurrection coming up. The resurrection at the Pre-Trib Rapture is after the 6000 years. The one at the Pre-Wrath Rapture is as the first day of the final millennium is beginning. It is as the KJV says, "at the last day."
Mark 9: Messiah illustrated His future coming in power at the end of 6 days/1000years. 2 And after six days Jesus took with him Peter, and James, and John, and lead them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and He was transfigured before them.
***Lu. 9:28 says, "about an eight days." Does "after six days" refer to the Pre-Trib Rapture after the 6000 years are up? Does "about an eight days" signify the Pre-Wrath Rapture at the beginning of the 7th millennium?
in A.D. 1552, Bishop Latimer wrote: "The world was ordained to endure, as all learned men affirm, 6,000 years. Now of that number, there be passed 5,552 years (as of A.D. 1552), so that there is no more left but 448 years (ending in A.D. 2000)."
***Not bad figuring, huh?
Joshua 6:1-5 Israelites went around Jericho once for six days on seven times on the seventh day then the walls fell at the sound of the ramís horn and shout. Victory over enemies after 6 1000-year days and 7 years
***Jericho means his moon or his month. I think that circling 7 times on the 7th day may depict Tishri 1, 5768 (Sept. 13, 2007), when Babylon will fall on the Feast of Trumpets. The 7 trumpet judgments are to hit Earth that day after the 7th seal is opened. Those other days of circling may depict the opening of the first 6 seals. During those years, the asteroid orbits without impacting Earth.
