Re: The Blood of Jesus
Pertaining to your P&C684, I'd like to add some knowledge I've gained from Dr. Roy B. Blizzard, who taught on the Blood of Jesus. At the time, he was a professor at the University of Texas in Austin, teaching Hebrew.

Here are some notes I took as I listened to his teaching tapes over and over:

Gen.1:26 - God made man in His own image - both male & female - and He called them BOTH 'adam' which comes from two Hebrew words: 'dam', which means 'blood, and 'a', a shortened form of the word for 'God' (Elohim is shortened to 'ah' or 'a').

That makes 'a' + 'dam' = the blood of God. The 'a' has a ^ over it but I don't know how to include it here.

Gen.2:21 "...He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in that place." 'Rib' in Hebrew means 'cella' or 'cell cage'. Like the ribs of the hull of a ship, they protect the soft insides or tissues (we now know as DNA) of the 'cell'. So, God took one rib and fashioned 'Eve' - out of Adam's side.

Also, in Gen.2:7, the word says that God formed Adam out of the 'dust' of the ground. According to Dr. Blizzard, the word for 'dust' is better translated 'minute particles, or atoms'.

The word goes on to say "...and breathed into nostrils THE BREATH OF LIFE, and man (the being made from the minute particles of the earth) became a living being." Gen.9:4 and Lev.17:11 both say that 'the LIFE is in the BLOOD'. According to Dr. Blizzard, when God breathed life into Adam, He breathed His perfect BLOOD into him. Then when Adam and Eve sinned, something happened to the perfect blood and it became tainted - in both of them.

Dr. Blizzard said there have been recent (before 1990) studies that have proven that the blood-line comes ONLY through the man. The woman does not pass any of her own blood on to the child. That is why Jesus was sinless:

His blood came straight from the Father; none of Mary's tainted blood went to Him. One of his statements was that if Jesus had not bled completely out and willingly given up his Spirit, that His Body COULD have regenerated itself with the perfect blood of God.
---end of teaching---

That is a very shortened version of the teaching (which was 5 tapes long). Dr. Blizzard seems to be a very knowledgeable man, but I don't know him personally. You are correct (if Dr. Blizzard is correct) in saying that the sin nature is NOT passed on from the woman, because the blood-line is not passed from the mother to the child. The sin nature is passed from the father.

You probably already knew this, but if you didn't, I hope this helped. I have no idea how to get in touch with Dr. Blizzard and I've never seen this teaching anywhere else. I do still have the tapes. He wrote a book with David Bivin, called "Understanding the Difficult Words of Jesus".

It was also very good. God bless you and Ed, and may He be Jehovah Jireh to you today. In His Service

My reply

Thank you very much. I had not heard all of this before. I knew that Lev. 17:11 said, "the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul." Agape

Why did you think that the Rapture would take place on may of 1998? And what do you say now that it is 2001? Could this be why we are not to be date setters? I was reading the piece you did on Revelation as a Play. It was great until I came to the Part you said the Rapture was on May of 1998.

My reply

I am honest and straightforward. I do not try to hide the fact that I expected the Rapture on Pentecost, May 28, 1998. My file you were reading was posted 10-3-97. I had expected the Rapture to be in 1998 since 1968.

The year 1998 was so definitely marked, I thought it would be the Rapture. It was the 480th year in the Modern Parallels. I expected the 4 years of the parable of the barren fig tree to start then, and I still think they did. What I didn't see then that I can see now is that Christ only speaks in the third year in that parable. I didn't figure this out. Someone else did and e-mailed me. At the Rapture, Jesus will speak and say, "Come up hither" (Rev. 4:1). The third year will be Pentecost, Sivan 6/7, 5761 (May 28/29, 2001). I'm hoping for the Rapture then (Pentecost, 1998 + 3 = Pentecost, 2001).

Another thing I didn't see was in the parable of the 10 virgins in Mt. 25. In v. 1, the virgins "went forth to meet the bridegroom," similar to my expectations in 1998. However, by v. 5, the bridegroom still "tarried," as today. In v. 6, which I hope parallels Pentecost, 2001, "there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him."

In Mark 13:23, Jesus said, "take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you ALL THINGS." All the clues are in the Bible. We just have to search for them. He specifically warned the church, "If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee" (Rev. 3:3). What will happen if we do watch? It would then say that if we do watch, he will not come on us as a thief, and we shall know what hour he will come upon us. No wonder Jesus kept telling us to "Watch."

We now seem to be in the period called the "space to repent" in Rev. 2:21 and the "trial of your faith" in I Peter 1:7-12. It says, "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ (at the Rapture): Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of TIME the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ (1st Advent), and the glory that should follow (2nd Advent). Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into."

We all need to confess all known sins committed since we first accepted Christ, so he can cleanse us of all unrighteousness (I John 1:9). Then the Holy Spirit will well up within us like a fountain of living water. Like wise virgins, we will have the oil of the Holy Spirit in our vessels (bodies) and will be ready when the Bridegroom comes. Agape

His/her reply

In 1998 we too felt that Jesus was coming during a feast in the spring. We also felt our calling that year as never before in our whole life. It was as though the Holy Spirit was telling everyone to get off the Fence. It was a desperate feeling. I was disappointed when the Lord didn't come. But still felt his calling and still do. I agree from our studies that the Lord will come during Pentecost or shortly after. Reading a lot of your stuff is as though you were reading our life and thoughts exactly. We were so excited when we read your web page. We have been told by some that we are wrong to set dates. I pray we will meet in the first Rapture.

My reply

Thanks for your kind words and sharing your dream with me. Our son David had a dream of the Rapture. He said Ed and I were with him, standing in the front yard. Suddenly we all started up fast. He said there was no sensation of wind or cold, just of moving fast.

Re: Questions about Daniel 9:24-27
I have been recently studying the book of Daniel. Let me ask a couple of quick questions. Daniel 9:24 refers to the 70 weeks that we know will end at the conclusion of the 7 year tribulation. This evidently will be at the end of the seven years, not the shortened tribulation of 2300 days. The part of the verse that says,"... and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy..." seems to indicate the end of the seven years. For first of all, "the end of sins" would not be until after Armageddon. Secondly, "everlasting righteousness" would not be brought in until after Armageddon as well. Lastly, the time that the "vision and prophesy would be sealed up" has to refer to the end of the full seven years too. If that is true, (correct me if I am wrong), it would seem that the last phrase of this verse, "to anoint the Holy One" would also have to take place at the end of the seven years. Is the time the Holy One is "anointed" the same as His coronation? I know that you have written that you believe that Jesus is coronated on the "Day of the Lord", the 2300th day of the tribulation. Refresh me as to what scriptures lead you to that conclusion and is the time Jesus is anointed different from His coronation?

My second question has to do with looks like a difference in verse 25 and verse 26 that I am not fully comprehending. Verse 25 says...

"Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times."

This verse clearly says that from the time the commandment is given to rebuild the temple is given and the time Jesus makes entry into Jerusalem as the Prince there will be 69 weeks of years. Yet the next verse (26) says...

"And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off..."
This seems to say after 62 weeks Jesus will be cut off. Wasn't Jesus crucified the same year He made His entry into Jerusalem? How can one verse say that year was after 69 weeks of years and this verse seem to say it was after 62 weeks of years. What am I missing here. The next verse begins "He shall confirm the covenant with many for one week . . .". That we know is referring to the 70th week which we call the Tribulation. If you just looked at the verse before it, you could think that it happens after 62 weeks of years and not 69 weeks of years as verse 25 seems to say. What is the significance of the 62 weeks of years and could you resolve this seeming conflict between verse 25 and 26?

Because I have taken so much time elaborating these questions, I will put my other question I have about Daniel chapter 11 in a separate e-mail because I don't want to overwhelm you with too much at one time. Thanks for your help. Your brother in Jesus

My reply

It seems that if the 70th week of Daniel starts on the Feast of Weeks in 2001, all the end-time prophecies covered in Dan. 9:24 should be fulfilled by the Feast of Weeks, June 9, 2008. The last day of the latter 1260 days would end on the Feast of Unleavened Bread, Nisan 15 (Apr. 20). The extra 30 days in Dan. 12:11 would end Iyar 15. The only thing I can think of that would end outside of that is the 1335 days, when Daniel will stand in his lot in Israel, but that doesn't fall within the categories mentioned in Dan. 9:24. If Armageddon lasts 40 days, it would be over and Satan chained before the Feast of Weeks/Pentecost arrived on the 50th day. It would be very like God to plan to chain Satan on the anniversary of Christ's Ascension Day. One goes up (the winner); the other goes down (the loser).

> > Is the time the Holy One is "anointed" the same as His coronation?

Coronation Day seems to be the 1st day of the Millennium. That takes place in Heaven. His being anointed may refer to the time of the Second Advent (7 months later, Eze. 39:12,13), when he sets his feet on the Mt. of Olives and is accepted as King after the earthquake splits the mountain (Zech. 14:4).

> > I know that you have written that you believe that Jesus is coronated on the "Day of the Lord", the 2300th day of the tribulation. Refresh me as to what scriptures lead you to that conclusion

I think Jesus was born as the former rain (Hos. 6:3) on Tishri 1, the Feast of Trumpets. I also think the 2300 days of Dan. 8:13,14 run from the Feast of Weeks in 2001 to the Feast of Trumpets in 2007, Jesus' birthday and the day God's Wrath is poured out on Earth. As a type, Song of Sol. 3:11 says, "Go forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon (type of Christ, Son of David) with THE CROWN WHEREWITH HIS MOTHER CROWNED HIM in the day of his espousals (chathunnah, wedding), and in the day of the gladness of his heart." I think the Marriage of the Lamb will take place in Heaven after his coronation. Following that is the Judgment Seat of Christ.

Dan. 7:9-14 gives us some details of that day. It says, "I beheld till the thrones were cast down (lit., set up), and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man (Jesus Christ) came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And THERE WAS GIVEN HIM DOMINION, AND GLORY, AND A KINGDOM, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed."

Rev. 11:15-19 tells us more about the events on this day. It says, "The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ (Christ is given his kingdom); and he shall reign for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God Almighty, which art (on the 1st day of the Millennium), and wast (at the 1st Advent), and art to come (7 months later [Eze. 39:12,13], at the 2nd Advent); because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry (Gog's army attacking Israel, Eze. 38), and thy wrath is come (Eze. 38:18,19), and the time of the dead, that they should be judged (Judgment Seat of Christ), and that thou shouldest give REWARD unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; AND shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth (the 2 asteroids of Rev. 8:8,10 will impact Earth). And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament (written on 2 stone tablets, which those on Earth had disobeyed): and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail." Re: Pre-Trib Rapture and Pre-Wrath Rapture
Thanks for the reply but I think I have heard every explanation under the sun and I am sure I will hear many more before it's over.

***Are you sincerely seeking the truth? Do you want discussion, pro and con on a subject, in order to figure out what Scripture really means? Or do you just want to air your views?

Bottom line is that Paul was speaking of the resurrection and he said when it would be.

***I Thess. 4:16,17 tells us of resurrection. It also tells us of the living that will be caught up together with the resurrected ones and rise to meet Christ in the air. Are you paying attention to v. 16's "the dead in Christ shall rise" and forgeting that v. 17says, "we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds"?

Who are the saints that are here during the tribulation? The saints are the church. Some say these are converts from the preaching of the 144,000. Who says they are preachers?

***There are Old Testament saints, Church saints and Tribulation saints. The foolish Laodicean virgins will be spued out of Christ's mouth (Rev. 3:16) at the time of the Pre-Trib Rapture (Rev. 4:1). They will be Church saints among the other Tribulation saints that have to wait until the Pre-Wrath Rapture to be caught up

***When John is caught up to Heaven in Rev. 4:1, all the apostles and the 12 patriarchs of Israel get their resurrection bodies and are caught up. They are the elders seen on their thrones in Rev. 4:4. When the apostles and patriarchs of Israel are caught up, we have to be caught up too. Heb. 10:40 says, "God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect."

It is also commonly believed that Satan is not cast to the earth until the antichrist appears and I have proven that Satan was cast to the earth at the crucufixion. That is when the war in heaven happened. I have had to pretty much abandon everything "they" say to make any sense out of any of this.

***I feel sorry for you, abandoning everything to try to make sense out of some thing that you don't understand. The book of Revelation is written as if the Rapture was at hand. It is "at hand" in the first and last chapters (1:3 and 22:10). Jesus signs off with "Surely I come quickly." He comes quickly at the Rapture. The Revelation of Jesus Christ is the Rapture. That is when he is revealed to us. John was told to write "the things which thou hast seen (things before the Rapture), and the things which are (at the Rapture), and the things which shall be hereafter (hereafter the Rapture, as in Rev. 4:1).

***Rev. 12 takes place Mid-Trib, after the 2 witnesses prophesy 1260 days. There is no way it took place at the Crucifixion. Revelation was written c. 96 AD, not at the time of the Crucifixion. Rev. 12 was still future in 96 AD, and it's still future today. You are fooling yourself if you think it took place in 30 AD.

***I read your file "Revelation Chapter 12." You didn't prove that Satan was cast down to Earth at the Crucifixion. You quoted "Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!" That does not prove that it happened in 30 AD.

You said,
> > Rev. 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. > > The only man child to fulfill this verse was Jesus Christ."

***I agree that the woman in Rev. 12 is Israel. It is true that Christ will rule with a rod of iron, but so will the saints. Rev. 2:26,27 says, "he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron." Since Rev. 12 is Mid-Trib, the 1260 days that Moses and Elijah prophesy have ended. The False Prophet becomes Satan-possessed just as soon as Satan is cast down to Earth Mid-Trib. He goes to sit in the temple "shewing himself that he is God" (II Thess. 2:4). Probably because Moses and Elijah won't bow down to him or his idol, he kills them. After 3.5 days, these Israelites are resurrected and raptured to Heaven when they hear "Come up hither." They are probably the man child (neuter gender) "caught up unto God" Mid-Trib. The Messianic Jews in Judah are to flee into the wilderness to be fed there for the latter 1260 days of the Tribulation.

***In the middle of the Tribulation "the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time" (Rev. 12:12). Those 1260 days of the Great Tribulation are the ones that are to be shortened. Mt. 24:20-22 says, "But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." They are shortened to 1040 days, the 1st 1260 + 1040 = 2300 (Dan. 8:13,14).

***The Great Tribulation is "such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." It did not take place in 30 AD.

John 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

I might suggest that you gird your loins just in case you are wrong. Blessings. Jerry (1 Timothy 4:16)

***I have used I John 1:9 to get ready for the Rapture. I'm watching for the Bridegroom to come. Agape

Re: Pre-Trib Rapture and Pre-Wrath Rapture

I think about those saints during the tribulation who are beheaded for their faith. I wonder if they were (will be) prepared? I wonder why they will miss the rapture? Hmmm. Jerry (1 Timothy 4:16)

My reply

Whether they were believers at the time of the Rapture or not, the martyrs will miss the Rapture because they do not have enough oil of the Holy Spirit in their vessels (bodies) when the Bridegroom comes for his Bride. Notice that in Rev. 6:11, they were not wearing white robes previously. They earned them by being martyrs for their faith.

Those that have enough oil will go with the Bridegroom when he comes. Mt. 25:10 says of the foolish virgins, "while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut." The door was shut by the Lord as when the Lord shut the door of the Ark after Noah and his family entered (Gen. 7:16). The Rapture is as the days of Noah (Mt. 24:37).

This door is the "open door" set before the Philadelphians (Rev. 3:8). As soon as the Philadelphians (meaning brotherly love) go through the open door, the door will be shut and the Laodiceans (meaning people of judgment) will face a closed door (Rev. 3:20). Jesus had no words of condemnation for the Philadelphians. They have already repented and confessed their sins so God could cleanse them from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9). Jesus tells the Laodiceans, "As many as I love, I REBUKE AND CHASTEN: be zealous therefore, and REPENT" (Rev. 3:19).

This is the door that was opened in Heaven for John, one of the 24 elders, to ascend when Christ said, "Come up hither" (Rev. 4:1). Along with him, the other 23 elders and the saints "out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation" of Rev. 5:9 go through heaven's door with John. All these Philadelphians are seen in Heaven before the 1st seal is broken on the Title Deed of the Earth in Rev. 6.

There is a good chance that the martyrs of the Tribulation are among those that see the Rapture take place. That would be a good reason why they are so sure of their faith that they will die for it. Psa. 40:1-3 says, "I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined (bent down) unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay (out of the Earth, as Jeremiah was taken up out of the earthen pit of miry clay), and set my feet upon a rock ('third heaven," II Cor. 12:2-4, Saturn), and established my goings. And he hath put a new song (sung by the saints in heaven in Rev. 5:9) in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it (the Rapture), and fear, and shall trust in the LORD."

God never leaves himself without a witness. As the Bride of Christ leaves, the "many" that see the Rapture happen will take our places. Moses and Elijah will also arrive in Israel to prophesy for 1260 days.

Psa. 60:4 in the NEB says, "thou hast given a warning to those who fear thee, to make their ESCAPE BEFORE THE SENTENCE FALLS."

Luke 21:36 says, "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be ACCOUNTED WORTHY TO ESCAPE all these things (the Tribulation) that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."

Psa. 71:1,2 says, " In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me."

Heb. 12:25 says, "See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven." When Christ speaks from Heaven, he will say, "Come up hither" (Rev. 4:1), and we will escape.

In case we missed the meaning in Rev. 4:1, we are shown exactly what will happen when we hear Christ say, "Come up hither." Rev. 11:12 says of the two witnesses, "they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them." Some will see the Rapture take place.

Rev. 17:10-14 is a view snapped right after the Pre-Trib Rapture has taken place. It says, "there are seven kings: five are fallen (Babel, Babylon, Media-Persia, Greece, Roman Empire), and ONE IS (the Tribulation Pope, over a Roman Ecclesiastical Empire and over all nations, Rev. 13:7,8), and the other (False Prophet) is not yet come; and when he cometh (to his full power Mid-Trib), he must continue a short space (the last half of the Tribulation that gets shortened). And the beast (Satan) that was (in Judas Iscariot), and is not (in man at the Rapture), even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received NO KINGDOM AS YET; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall (in the future) give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is LORD OF LORDS, AND KING OF KINGS: AND THEY THAT ARE WITH HIM ARE CALLED, AND CHOSEN, AND FAITHFUL."

Notice that the raptured chosen and faithful saints ARE with Christ BEFORE the False Prophet comes to power and BEFORE the 10 kings even receive their kingdom. We can tell from Rev. 13:1 that the 10 kings are crowned as the Tribulation starts. Therefore, the Rapture is BEFORE the Tribulation.

The Beast (Tribulation Pope) comes to full power as the Tribulation begins. It is "given unto him to continue forty and two months" (1260 days), the first half of the Tribulation (Rev. 13:5). "And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and THEM THAT DWELL IN HEAVEN" (Rev. 13:6). The ones that dwell in Heaven are the Bride of Christ that went with the Bridegroom when he came to catch them up to Heaven BEFORE the Tribulation began.

Luke 21:36 says, "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape (ekpheugo, to vanish from) ALL these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." The saints in Rev. 5:9 are before the Son of man BEFORE the 1st seal is opened in Rev. 6 to start the Tribulation. Do you want to be among them?

As the 1st seal is broken, the Tribulation Pope is said to ride forth on a white horse. That white horse is a symbol of a prince of peace. This Pope also has a bow (toxon, plain fabric) to show that he is a man of the cloth, a leader of world religion. The saints in Rev. 5:9 are in Heaven BEFORE the 1st seal is opened and the Tribulation Pope rides forth as the Beast in Rev. 6, BEFORE the 10 kings even receive their kingdom (Rev. 17:12). Agape
