4-2-01 - Re: ministry--the young man who wrote you so disparagingly

As you may remember, you received an insulting, abusive and disparaging email from Mike some time ago. I was moved to correspond with Mike, and, in fact, many thousands of words have transpired between us over the past months...all seemingly to no effect. Much prayer has been offered, again seemingly to no effect. Then, tonight, this arrived!

I know that you will join me in rejoicing and thanking and praising God for snatching Mike out of the fire. Truly, Marilyn, he was more WILLFULLY lost than I can describe. If you ever wondered what Romans 1:18-32 was like in the flesh, Mike was that person. And, please pray for Mike, for our Heavenly Father's hedge of protection about him, for I fear that severe temptation and trial lay ahead for him.

To God be the glory! Agape, Bob

Hey Bro Bob, I repented of my sin and rededicated my life to the Lord last night!

PRAISE GOD! I thank you and appreciate greatly all of your prayers I have decided to turn back on all my sin...

I went to a Gospel singing last night and a new church this morning and a evangelism rally tonight and praise God His spirit has been renewed within me. Thank you again

My new email address is godisright@hotmail.com. So God bless

Touched by Christ, Mike. God is Right

My reply to Bob

Wonderful! Thank you Lord, and thank you Bob. You made my day. What a turn-around. All the angels in Heaven are rejoicing, and we are too, Dave, Ed and me. Truly, God works in mysterious ways, his wonders to perform. I'm sitting here without pain, and Mike's in the sheepfold. Who would have dreamed either could happen. Glory to God in the highest.

I got so excited, I had to tell someone about Mike. My coffee got cold again. It has become a joke around here that I can't remember to drink my 2nd cup of coffee.

Thanks for caring enough to write Mike. I hope he goes with us in this Rapture. Tell him about I John 1:9. God bless you both. Agape

My reply to Mike

I got your good news. Praise the Lord. All the angels in Heaven are rejoicing over you. We are too here. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Let bygones be bygones. You have a fresh start, complements of Jesus Christ, who died to take your punishment for you so you would not have to take it yourself. We would all be on a slick slide to Hell if we didn't have a good God that cares enough for us to make a way that each one of us can be saved.

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it" (I Cor. 10:13).

If you use a PC, there is a neat program that is a valuable gift from people that care--totally free. It is called Bible Plus. They might have it available for the Mac by now. You could check. Jerry Golden (who took the picture of the blood moon over Jerusalem) just asked for prayer for his son who is in the thick of this particular action with the IDF Special Forces. Jerry, from Israel, Monday, March 26, 2001 9:42 AM writes, "In the past ten minutes heavy fighting broke out in Hebron. That one Lady, One Child and One man were down in the streets of the Jewish community in Hebron. Tanks have moved in and have opened fire at the Terrorist, two bombs have went off during the two minutes I was on the phone."

I can't begin to tell you what a blessing your web page has been to me and my husband. We, like so many of your regular readers, watch with anticipation as we see world events evolve exactly as God's Word spoke thousands of years ago through his prophets. I've never written you before, but after today's posting #719 - I am so hopeful and full of joy at the prospect of His coming, I just had to write and thank you for the service you are doing. You fill a need most churches aren't.

My reply

Thanks for your kind words. About 40 years ago, when I started Bible study in earnest, I could never have figured out what I would be doing today. I asked the Lord what he wanted me to do. He knew, so he trained me up in the way I should go. Then, I realized why he got us to move to La Mirada, CA. BIOLA would soon build there. The best books about the Bible were available to me in the library Seminary Collection. Along the way, the Lord put a rectangle of light on Jer. 50:2. It said to publish and conceal not. I have been studying and writing ever since. It was my husband that kept telling me he thought I should be on the Internet. After I finished my 3rd book, he took me to the mall and signed us up. I had no idea what HTML code was. Had no money for a book. Got on the web and searched for HTML guide. DL that and a color chart. Within a month I had my Web page up. I still never dreamed of how it would turn out. Bible Prophecy Corner just popped into my head when I needed to put in a title. Pro and Con did too. I proceeded as if I knew what I was doing. I tell you, I know the Lord had his hand in this, and I thank him very much. It keeps me studying the Bible, and that I love to do. Once it got hold of me, there was no letting go. Agape

Re: Septennium and Rapture In Bible Code
I appreciate your reponse to my E-mail. I stand corrected on the Hebrew Year 2001-2002. The years 2000-2001 and 2001-2002 overlay each other, the 2001-2002 year is one letter longer. The Septennium could be on for May as you say on your web site of Chronological events. I did see May many times. Septennium overlays the Hebrew years. I looked separately for the Rapture and I found Passover, March and night. The next Passover in March is 2002 on the 28th, right. Maybe the Septennium is in May of 2002. The Asteroid comes up in Hebrew year 2009-2010. The Bible Code could confirm many or all of your writings.

What is your opinion on the 10th planet story? What are you saying about Venus?

There was something in the Bible code about Rahab and the Dinosaurs. The object that hit Rahab, knocked off a piece that hit Earth and destroyed the Dinosaurs. That object was the supposedly the 10th planet. This is all I have for now. God Bless and I pray your not having power problems. Sincerely

My reply

I doubt that we can go by dates in the Bible Codes. Every letter having a numerical coefficient makes too many numbers. If we could go by them, the Rapture would have been in 1998.

> > What is your opinion on the 10th planet story?

I don't believe Sitchin's ideas in "The Twelfth Planet." I do think there were originally 10 planets. Satan's planet, Rahab, was split apart forming our Asteroid Belt. Asteroids have scarred Mars badly on one side. Some have hit Earth too. I think one dug the Pacific Basin and blasted off the material that makes up our Moon.

Isa. 51:9 says, "Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD (Christ, Isa. 53:1); awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut (lit., split) Rahab, and wounded the dragon?" (Satan).

I think the 10 widths of fabric making up the curtain of the Tabernacle stood for the 10 original planets/cherubim. Earth's was the width draped over the back CORNER. Starting at the ground in the back, the widths of fabric stood for Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Rahab (now the Asteroid Belt), Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. The widths of fabric were sewn together 5 widths and 5 widths, thus separating the terrestrial planets from the rest. Rahab was terrestrial.

Psa. 118:22 says, "The stone which the builders refused (Christ) is become the head stone of the CORNER" (Earth). Psa. 144:12 says, "That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as CORNER stones, polished after the similitude of a palace."

> > What are you saying about Venus?

Only that it was represented by the width of fabric next to Earth's on the back of the Tabernacle and that it was represented by the 3rd lamp on the candlestick. Rahab was not represented there. According to Josephus, a Pharisee priest, they seem to be the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn (Ant. III. VI. 7), the naked-eye planets. Josephus said the candlestick "spread itself into as many branches as there are planets, including the sun among them." That seems to be why the Western Lamp was always to be kept burning. Earth was in the middle, and Saturn was the Eastern Lamp. I think Saturn is the morning star at the time of the Rapture on Pentecost. It is a morning star now.

In Wars, V. V. 5, Josephus also mentioned the 12 loaves of the shew-bread (face bread). He said, "Now the seven lamps signified the seven planets; for so many there were springing out of the candlestick. Now, the twelve loaves that were upon the table signified the circle of the zodiac and the year."

Each sign of the zodiac was assigned to one tribe of Israel. As you might guess, Leo was the sign of Judah, because of him came Jesus Christ, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Jesus was born as the former rain (Hos. 6:3) on Tishri 1. Of course, the sign of the zodiac was Virgo (Aug. 23 - Sept. 22). I think Gemini (May 21 - June 21) is the sign of the Rapture.

Eph. 2:6 says he "hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places (on the ecliptic) in Christ Jesus." Saturn travels the ecliptic. Agape

From: Mopreacher@aol.com. Re: Split Rajpture teaching
We seem to be in agreement with your statement up to this point that I've copied from. I believe that those Christians are growing in grace from newborn babes to mature Christians.

Now let me ask you this. Are we nicer or more merciful than God? Do we expect a newborn baby to run a marathon or cook dinner? Do we expect a baby to hold down a job and be self supporting? God is no different. He doesn't expect more out of us than we are able.

Jesus said this. John 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Paul said 1 Co 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

So now I ask you. Will Jesus leave the babes to be tested more than they are able during the reign of the antichrist? It is said that ALL will wonder after the beast, and that ALL will take the mark, and that ALL that take the number will be damned.

You said.
The foolish Laodicean virgins will have to learn that lesson the hard way.

My answer. I cannot see where these are VIRGINS at all. They say they are OK, but Jesus says they aren't.

Rev 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because THOU SAYEST, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and KNOWEST NOT that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy OF ME gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Apparently these were church members that did not really possess. THEY SAID. I am rich, and have need of nothing JESUS SAID You are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked:

Now I ask you does that sound like a blood washed Christian? Naked is not clothed upon with Christ. Blind is not seeing the glorious gospel.

Jesus said BUY OF ME. Whatever makes us clean has to come from Jesus, not our works.

2 Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

You said. Are you mixing up salvation and Rapture readiness? They are two separate things. We can't work for salvation. We can work for rewards. One reward is do what Paul did, to "press toward the mark for the prize (the Rapture) of the high calling of God(Christ's 'Come up hither') in Christ Jesus." In II Cor. 9:27, Paul said, "I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." A castaway is a Laodicean of whom Christ said, "I will spue thee out of my mouth" (i.e., out of the Body of Christ) (Rev. 3:16).

My Answer. No, I don't believe that I am. What is the difference? Did the blood of Jesus really cleanse them or not? Are they still dirty? Are they blind and naked? What age must a bloodwashed child of God be, to be rapture ready? 5 years old in Christ or maybe 10 years old in Christ? How many lessons must we learn? To what extent of being an overcomer must we attain to be rapture ready?

I don't believe that the rapture is a reward. I believe that rewards are passed out in heaven after you ARRIVE.

The rapture is an earthly promise to believers.

"Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be ACCOUNTED WORTHY TO ESCAPE all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man (i.e., at the Rapture) (Luke 21:36).

Now about that word WORTHY. What makes us worthy? Is it our works or is it the sacrifice of Jesus?

Paul ask the Galatians this question. Gal 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

He also said. Gal 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of FAITH?

Paul further warns the Jews. Gal 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? 10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.

The reason why I say that the teaching of the split rapture is dangerous is because it is a works teaching. That's the opposite of faith in God to save, instead of faith in self to save.

Ga 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH. 6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but FAITH which worketh by LOVE.

Then I ask you what makes a person RIGHTEOUS or (in right standing with God)?

I will let scripture answer that. Gal 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH.

When the Spies were sent into the promised land to spy why were 10 rejected and 2 saved? Because of their beliefs. Their FAITH.

Just for the sake of argument lets say they all 12 spies believed right and entered the promise land. Would their entry have been because of their overcoming acts, habits, and personality quirks until they were worthy to enter, or would it have been because they believed for God's supernatural help? It would have been faith alone. Simply believing God to keep his word and save them.

We live and walk by faith. Col 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him.

A type of the rapture. Heb 11:5 By FAITH Enoch was translated that he should not see death.

It is said that Enoch pleased God. Why or how did Enoch please God?

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him.

It all comes back to faith. Faith in God is save. Faith in God to keep. Faith in God to take us in the rapture.

Do you know who will go in the rapture? The one and only rapture, because if there were to be more than one I think Jesus would have said something about it.

Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the SECOND time without sin unto salvation.

1208 deuteros {dyoo'-ter-os} as the compare of 1417 (duo);; adj the second, the other of two

Those that will go in the rapture are those that look for him. That looking for him is a faith act. it means to look for, expect, wait for or await.

My reply

> > Will Jesus leave the babes to be tested more than they are able during the reign of the antichrist?

He never allows us to be tested more than we can stand. I Cor.. 10:13 says, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

> > It is said that ALL will wonder after the beast, and that ALL will take the mark, and that ALL that take the number will be damned.

How can it be true that ALL will take the mark and be damned. Please back up your statements with scripture. That is the only way you will convince me that you are right. Rev. 7 tells me that there are 144,000 Israelites and a great multitude that no man can number that are saved out of the Great Tribulation.

> > I cannot see where these are VIRGINS at all

Jesus' message to the Laodiceans in Rev. 3:14f ends with "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the CHURCHES (ekklesia, called out ones)." He tells them "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." If they were not IN CHRIST, they could not be spued out of his mouth.

> > THEY SAID. I am rich, and have need of nothing JESUS SAID. You are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked: Now I ask you does that sound like a blood washed Christian? Naked is not clothed upon with Christ

Yes, they are the ekklesia, called out ones. See how a naked and blind Laodicean could justify himself in his own mind and never realize that it is talking to him? He might say, "Naked is not clothed upon with Christ." Yet Christ told a parable about the wedding feast. The feast was furnished with guests, bad and good. "And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless (he may have thought, 'Naked is not clothed upon with Christ'). Then said the king to the servants,, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness (outside the door darkness); there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen" (Mt. 22:11-14).

Luke 12:46 says, "The lord of that servant (the one that was faithful and wise, but became unwise) will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder (lit., cut him off), and will appoint him his portion (2300 days of the Tribulation) with the UNBELIEVERS." Mt. 24:51 adds, "And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." The weeping and gnashing of teeth is just like in the parable of the wedding feast.

Rev. 19:7,8 says, "the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife HATH MADE HERSELF READY. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness (lit., righteousnesses) of saints."

> > Jesus said BUY OF ME. Whatever makes us clean has to come from Jesus, not our works.

How do you "BUY" from Christ? What would you pay him with? You can't buy salvation. It is a free gift. You can't work for salvation, either. So, how do you "BUY" from Christ?

> > > Are you mixing up salvation and Rapture readiness? > > My Answer No, I don't believe that I am. What is the difference?

Salvation is for the unsaved. Rapture readiness is for Christians. When we first accept Christ, we are "purged" from our "OLD SINS" (II Peter 1:9). We get a fresh start. As long as we don't sin afterward, we are wearing white spiritual robes of righteousness. However, being human, we finally do sin. Then our robe is not spotless. So, what should we do about it? How can we get our robe spotless AGAIN? How can we become Rapture ready?

> > Did the blood of Jesus really cleanse them or not? Are they still dirty? Are they blind and naked?

The blood of Christ really cleansed them when they accepted Christ as their own personal Saviour. At that point, they were wearing white robes of righteousness. Some time later, when the Laodiceans sinned, they lost those white garments. What can they do about it?

> > What age must a bloodwashed child of God be, to be rapture ready? 5 years old in Christ or maybe 10 years old in Christ? How many lessons must we learn? To what extent of being an overcomer must we attain to be rapture ready?

I am not the judge. Christ is. James 5:9 says, "Grudge not one against another, brethren (BELIEVERS), LEST YE BE CONDEMNED: behold, the judge standeth before the door." How can a believer be condemned?

> > I don't believe that the rapture is a reward.

It is the prize we have to push on to secure. Phil 3:14 (Weymouth) says, "with my eyes fixed on the goal I push on to secure the prize of God's heavenward call in Christ Jesus." This call is when Jesus says, "Come up hither."

> > What makes us worthy? Is it our works or is it the sacrifice of Jesus?

You are mixing up salvation with being Rapture ready. To obtain salvation, we accept Christ. To obtain the Rapture, we use I John 1:9, confess our known sins so Christ can cleanse us of all unrighteousness. That is how we can buy white robes of righteousness from him.

> > Paul ask the Galatians this question. Gal 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

The verse before this says, "This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the WORKS OF THE LAW, or by the hearing of faith? Paul is telling the foolish Galatians that they did not receive the Spirit by works of the Law. He is talking about salvation, not Rapture readiness. Only the wise virgins were ready when the Bridegroom came for them. Mt. 25:10 says, "they that were READY went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut." How can a wise virgin be ready when the foolish ones are not ready?

> > He also said. Gal 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of FAITH?

This is talking of salvation, not being Rapture ready.

> > The reason why I say that the teaching of the split rapture is dangerous is because it is a works teaching. That's the opposite of faith in God to save, instead of faith in self to save.

You are mixing up salvation with being Rapture ready. The Pre-Wrath Rapture is scriptural. It is as the days of Lot, when fire fell that same day (Luke 17:29). It is at the last trump of God (I Cor. 15:51,52). Mark 13:27 says of the first day of the millennial Day of the Lord, "And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the EARTH (the Pre-Wrath Rapture) to the uttermost part of HEAVEN" (to gather those that were taken up in the Pre-Trib Rapture).

> > Then I ask you what makes a person RIGHTEOUS or (in right standing with God)? > > I will let scripture answer that. Gal 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH.

For a non-Christian, accepting Christ makes him righteous. All his "old sins" are forgiven. For a Christian, confessing his sins since he was saved makes him righteous.

> > When the Spies were sent into the promised land to spy why were 10 rejected and 2 saved? Because of their beliefs. Their FAITH.

All the spies knew that God existed. They had faith in his existance. What then separated the 10 from the 2? Joshua and Caleb believed that God had the POWER to give them the promised land. The 10 were afraid to try. They were afraid the giants had too much power for them to be able to take the land. They were limiting the power of God in their own minds.

> > Would their entry have been because of their overcoming acts, habits, and personality quirks until they were worthy to enter, or would it have been because they believed for God's supernatural help? It would have been faith alone. Simply believing God to keep his word and save them.

They had faith in God's existance. What they lacked was faith in his power to keep his word in the face of giants in the land.

> > We live and walk by faith. Col 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him.

What happens to believers if they do not walk in him? He dwells in the light. What if they walk in the darkness? I John 1 shows us that the only way we can be in fellowship with him is to walk in the light. Those that walk in darkness are out of fellowship. How can they get back in fellowship?

> > how did Enoch please God?

He walked in the light with God. He was a prophet (Jude 14).

> > It all comes back to faith. Faith in God is save. Faith in God to keep. Faith in God to take us in the rapture.

Would it do the Tribulation saints any good to have faith that God would take them in a Rapture"

Do you know who will go in the rapture? The one and only rapture, because if there were to be more than one I think Jesus would have said something about it.

He did. In Mark 13:27, he said, "And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the EARTH to the uttermost part of heaven." In Luke 17:34, he said of the days of Lot, "I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left." The first Rapture is as the days of Noah. No fire fell. The second Rapture is as the days of Lot. Fire fell that same day (Lu. 17:29). It will be that way at the 2nd Rapture.

> > Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the SECOND time without sin unto salvation

Jesus had the sins of the world laid on him at the First Advent. At the Second Advent, he will be without sin. He took sin out of the way as an issue in salvation. Now, it is "What think ye of Christ? whose son is he" (Mt. 22:42).

> > Those that will go in the rapture are those that look for him. That looking for him is a faith act. it means to look for, expect, wait for or await.

Yes, we are supposed to look for him. But what if we are walking in darkness? Are wise virgins walking in darkness? or are the foolish virgins walking in darkness? Only the foolish ones get left behind. Agape

I love to read your view of the comments sent in and also to read the different articles and current events sent in by readers.

Do you think there is any connection between Italy banning beef this week and the verse that in the last days they would forbid to eat meat?

Do you think that the plague of hoof and mouth disease, is punishment for the cloning of Dolly the sheep which was done i think very near (at least in the same country UK) the same spot? And if so it might really be bad next year when someone clones the first human.

Also this week I was in Costco in Federal Way Washington (near Tacoma) and I saw produce from Israel and remembered that verse their (Israels) fruit shall go around the world.

My reply

Thanks for your kind words.

> > Do you think there is any connection between Italy banning beef this week and the verse that in the last days they would forbid to eat meat?

Maybe. I Tim. 4:1-3 says, "the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth."

I haven't heard of "Forbidding to marry" yet, but it could be coming in the 70th week of Daniel. Maybe this epidemic will escalate too. It could be one of the things we should watch.

> > Do you think that the plague of hoof and mouth disease, is punishment for the cloning of Dolly the sheep

I suppose it is possible. Remember, God is in complete control over the whole situation. What he allows and doesn't allow is strictly up to him.

Israel grows citrus fruit, grapes, olives, even bananas, but their principal export crop is citrus. A few years back, 95% was shipped abroad, either as fresh or as juice. Agape
