PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST
No. 1. All the archeological evidence supports it....
The second proof of Israel's right to the land is the historic right. History supports it totally and completely....
The night before the attack against Jerusalem to drive out the Turks, Allenby prayed that God would allow him to capture the city without doing damage to the holy places.
That day, Allenby sent World War I biplanes over the city of Jerusalem to do a reconnaissance mission. You have to understand that the Turks had at that time never seen an airplane. So there they were, flying around. They looked in the sky and saw these fascinating inventions and did not know what they were, and they were terrified by them. Then they were told they were going to be opposed by a man named Allenby the next day, which means, in their language, "man sent from God" or "prophet from God." They dared not fight against a prophet from God, so the next morning, when Allenby went to take Jerusalem, he went in and captured it without firing a single shot.
The British Government was grateful to Jewish people around the world, particularly to one Jewish chemist who helped them manufacture niter. Niter is an ingredient that was used in nitroglycerin which was sent over from the New World. But they did not have a way of getting it to England. The German U-boats were shooting on the boats, so most of the niter they were trying to import to make nitroglycerin was at the bottom of the ocean. But a man named Weitzman, a Jewish chemist, discovered a way to make it from materials that existed in England. As a result, they were able to continue that supply.
The British at that time said they were going to give the Jewish people a homeland. That is all a part of history....
The homeland that Britain said it would set aside consisted of all of what is now Israel and all of what was then the nation of Jordan--the whole thing. That was what Britain promised to give the Jews in 1917....
The land was not able to sustain a large population of people. It just did not have the development it needed to handle those people, and the land was not really wanted by anybody. Nobody really wanted this land. It was considered to be worthless land....
This is the report that the Palestinian Royal Commission, created by the British, made. It quotes an account of the conditions on the coastal plain along the Mediterranean Sea in 1913....They said:
The road leading from Gaza to the north was only a summer track, suitable for transport by camels or carts. No orange groves, orchards or vineyards were to be seen until one reached the Yavnev village. Houses were mud. Schools did not exist. The western part toward the sea was almost a desert. The villages in this area were few and thinly populated. Many villages were deserted by their inhabitants....
In short, under the Turks the land suffered from neglect and low population. That is a historic fact. The nation became populated by both Jews and Arabs because the land came to prosper when Jews came back and began to reclaim it. Historically, they began to reclaim it. If there had never been any archaeological evidence to support the rights of the Israelis to the territory, it is also important to recognize that other nations in the area have no longstanding claim to the country either.
Did you know that Saudi Arabia was not created until 1913, Lebanon until 1920? Iraq did not exist as a nation until 1932, Syria until 1941; the borders of Jordan were established in 1946 and Kuwait in 1961. Any of these nations that would say Israel is only a recent arrival would have to deny their own rights as recent arrivals as well. They did not exist as countries. They were all under the control of the Turks....
The third reason that land belongs to Israel is the practical value of the Israelis being there. Israel today is a modern marvel of agriculture. Israel is able to bring more food out of a desert environment than any other country in the world....
The fourth reason I believe Israel has the right to the land is on the grounds of humanitarian concern....
These people have a right to their homeland....The whole nation of Israel is very small. It is a nation that, up until the time that claims started coming in, was not desired by anybody.
The fifth reason Israel ought to have their land is that she is a strategic ally of the United States....
The sixth reason is that Israel is a roadblock to terrorism....
No. 7, I believe very strongly that we ought to support Israel; that it has a right to the land. This is the most important reason: Because God said so. As I said a minute ago, look it up in the book of Genesis. It is right up there on the desk.
In Genesis 13:14-17, the Bible says:
The Lord said to Abram, "Lift up now your eyes, and look from the place where you are northward, and southward, and eastward and westward: for all the land which you see, to you will I give it, and to your seed forever. ..... Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it to thee."
That is God talking.
The Bible says that Abram removed his tent and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar before the Lord. Hebron is in the West Bank. It is at this place where God appeared to Abram and said, "I am giving you this land," — the West Bank.
This is not a political battle at all. It is a contest over whether or not the word of God is true. The seven reasons, I am convinced, clearly establish that Israel has a right to the land....
It was required long before Muhammad, to bow and pray toward Mecca. Pilgrimages there were required; the Ka'aba, site of the protective black stone, was circled seven times, kissed, and then the pilgrims would run to Wadi Mina to throw stones at the Devil. These pagan rituals are still practiced in Islam today....

I Thess. 4:13-18 tells us that there will be a Rapture. The "trump of God" will sound, the dead in Christ will rise, then the living saints will be "caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." Be comforted. There is a Rapture. That's a sure thing.
Now we can search for Scripture that indicates when it will take place, before the Tribulation, Mid-Trib or just before God's Wrath hits Earth when the Great Tribulation is shortened. We know that it can't be after that "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ" (1Th 5:9 ). All the saints will be caught up before God's Wrath hits Earth.
Since The Revelation of Jesus Christ is written as if the Rapture were "at hand" (1:3 and 22:10), we should expect Revelation to have some clues for us. In Rev. 7:14, we see "a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues" (v. 9) stand before the throne of God in Heaven. In 7:14, we are told plainly that "These are they which came OUT OF (ek, out of, or from) GREAT TRIBULATION." So a Rapture has taken place. These are Tribulation saints who "have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." This Rapture takes place between the breaking of the 6th and 7th seals, between Rev. 6:12 and Rev. 8:1, when the 7 trumpet judgments are to be sounded. No Rapture can follow the 7 trumpet judgments, because they are God's wrath. No Rapture can take place as the last of the 7 trumpets sound, because God's wrath begins at the 1st trumpet judgment.
The Title Deed to the Earth is sealed with 7 seals. The last seal is broken in Rev. 8:1. The Pre-Wrath Rapture is just before that.
Now look at Rev. 5:9. ANOTHER GROUP is seen before the throne in Heaven. They are saints "OUT OF (ek, out of, or from) every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation." They are in Heaven before the 1st seal on the Title Deed of the Earth is broken in Rev. 6.
This group in Rev. 5:9 is in Heaven at the same time that the 24 elders are seen in Heaven. John is one of these elders. They are the 12 patriarchs of Israel and the 12 apostles. They are caught up when Christ says, "Come up hither" (Rev. 4:1). Therefore, the Philadelphian saints are raptured when John is raptured. They are the ones before whom the "open door" of Rev. 3:8 is set. Christ says "Come up hither" and all the overcomers are caught up to Heaven. Notice that they do not have to wash their robes in the blood of Christ to make them white. The Philadelphians have already confessed their sins and are wearing white robes of righteousness, which are the Bride's trademark. Those caught up in the Pre-Trib Rapture are the Bride of Christ, the wise virgins of Mt. 25:1f. Those foolish Laodicean virgins are spewed out of Christ's mouth at the 1st Rapture. Jesus warned them to buy of him white raiment, and they didn't do it.
At the 2nd Rapture, the Laodiceans will be caught up. By that time, they will have learned their lesson and confessed all sins to bring them under the blood of Christ (I John 1:9). It looks like none of this 2nd Rapture are part of the Bride group but the 144,000 Israelites. They are virgins, firstfruits, without fault before the throne of God (Rev. 14:4,5). When they are caught up to Heaven, the Marriage of the Lamb can take place. I think it will take place on that same day, the 1st day of the millennial Day of the Lord.
Jesus told the Philadelphians that he had set before them the "open door" (3:8). Then, in Rev. 3:10-12, he told them "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee FROM (ek, out of, or from) the hour of temptation (peirasmos, trial, i.e., the Tribulation), which shall (afterward) come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name."
In Luke 21:25, Jesus said, "there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring." The signs have appeared (see my Home Page), and we are seeing the distress of nations, with perplexity now.
Then in Luke 21:28-36, Jesus said, "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh (the Rapture is the "redemption of our body" (Rom. 8:23). And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree (Israel), and all the trees (other nations); When they now shoot forth (war with Israel), ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand (the Six-Day War of 1967 started on June 5, and summer began on June 21). So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation (born in 1967) shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled (1967 + 40 = 2007). Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day (of the Pre-Trib Rapture) come upon you unawares. For as a snare (trap) shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE ALL THESE THINGS (i.e., be caught up in the Pre-Trib Rapture) that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."
> > The bible has many examples of God protecting his people thru tough times, but not of removing them before the tough times start.
Think of Enoch. He was caught up before Noah's Flood. Noah and his family were kept safe above the Flood.
> > Also everyone I know that subscribes to the pre-trib belief says that the Holy spirit will be taken away at the same time. If this is true how will anyone be save after the rapture?
Actually, God is spirit and is everywhere. In Him we live and move and have our being. It is true that the Holy Spirit will take us to Heaven at the Rapture and no longer restrain the appearance of the False Prophet, but He will not leave the Laodicean foolish virgins. He will be helping Moses and Elijah prophesy. He will be working during the Tribulation too. The difference is that he will not restrain the growth of evil that will come to a head in the False Prophet. He will be Satan-possessed when Satan is cast out of Heaven Mid-Trib. The Tribulation saints are a great multitude that no man can number, so people can still be saved. However, some will take the Mark of the Beast or believe the lie. Others will be martyred for their faith. As bad as it will be, good will come out of it. All Israel will be saved on the Day of God's Wrath. Those too late for the Pre-Wrath Rapture will live on into the Millennium. Agape
I also want to share a startling discovery. I have an interest in ancient calendrical systems. I have been working to figure out the Biblical solar calendar and the Sabbath-Jubilee years cycle. In the course of doing that, I found a relationship. I know you believe in a 30AD crucifixion. I believe there is compelling proof.
If we begin in Pentecost of 30AD and move forward in time exactly 2000 Prophetic years (720,000 days), we arrive at September 10, 2001! 9-11 began that evening. If we read Acts chapter 2 we find a loud noise, people from all over the world, confusion, tongues of fire, the 9 o'clock hour and what must be a split prophecy when Peter quotes Joel. I believe 9-11 marked the end of the Church Era and the begining of the 7 years Tribulation. Christ must have been crucified in 30AD because those are the only dates that match both the solar calendar and the luni-solar....God bless you!
I believe in a 30 AD Crucifixion, but not in a so-called prophetic calendar that runs alongside the Jewish and the Gregorian Calendars. In Genesis 1:14, "God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years." He has never rescinded this, and the Bible is consistent. To me, one orbit around the Sun equals one year. I think the day counts given in Scripture are literal days, one rotation of the Earth each. I take 1260 days as 1260 rotations.
Since the Jewish Calendar has both 29 and 30-day months and a 13th month in leap years, to break 1260 days into months, it looks like an average length of month was used for calculation purposes. Don't we do the same when figuring things like interest? We say that we have 12 months in a year, yet 12 x 30 = 360 days. We know that the actual year is about 365.25 days, but to make calculations easy, we too use the 360-day year, but only for the sake of reasonably quick calculating.
The 483 years of Dan. 9:25 come out right figured by ordinary solar years. Martin Anstey, author of "The Romance of Bible Chronology," found an 82-year mistake in the era of the Persian kings. BC 536 - 82 = 454 BC. 483 - 454 +1 (no zero yr.) = 30 AD.
> > the Sabbath-Jubilee years cycle
I'm convinced that the true Jubilee cycle is a 49-year cycle. The 50th year is also the 1st year of the next cycle. This way the Sabbatic Years stay aligned with the Jubilee cycle. Seven Sabbatic Years go by, then the Jubilee is the following year.
> > I believe 9-11 marked the end of the Church Era and the begining of the 7 years Tribulation.
The towers falling on 9-11-01 may have been a sign of the end of the shortened Tribulation on 9-13-2007 (Tishri 1, 5768), but I don't think the Tribulation can begin until we are gone. The Beast, rider of the white horse of Rev. 6, has not yet come to his full power as a so-called prince of peace. That will happen as the 7-year covenant of Dan. 9:27 is strengthened. Agape
I think the flying rolling thing is a binary asteroid twice as long as it is wide. Verse 5 says, "This is THE CURSE that goeth forth over the face of the WHOLE earth." An asteroid orbits over the face of the whole earth. No boomerang, a nuke definitely does not go all the way around Earth and return to the starting point. The last thing the one setting it off wants is to get it back.
Babylon is to be destroyed by "a STONE like a great millstone" (Rev. 18:21). Zech. 5 shows that the World Church is moved to Babylon in the land of Shinar (Gen. 11:2) so she can suffer the destruction of Rev. 18:21. The World Church (end product of the Mystery Religion of Babylon) is to be "set there upon her own base." the Tower of Babel, the 1st kingdom of Rev. 17:10. The 7 are Babel, Babylon, Media-Persia, Greece, Rome and Ecclesiastic Rome.
In the Ark of the Covenant were 2 stone tablets with the 10 commandments on them. I think the commandments were on 2 stones as a type of the 2 asteroids that will punish the world for their disobedience. When Moses smashed the 1st set of stones because of Israel's disobedience, it showed that these 2 asteroids of Rev. 8:8 and 10 will be smashed into the Earth.
Zech. 5:3,4 ties the 2 earlier stone tablets in with "the curse." It says, "Then said he unto me, THIS IS THE CURSE that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth (disobeying Thou shalt not steal) shall be cut off as on this side according to it (one stone tablet) ; and every one that sweareth (disobeying Thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain) shall be cut off as on that side according to it" (the other stone tablet). I will bring it (the curse) forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief (the False Prophet), and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name (the Beast, Tribulation Pope, who claims infallibility): and it shall remain in the midst of his house (in Babylon), and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof."
Zech. 5:5-11 tells us about the World Church being moved to Babylon. The ephah is the largest wheat measure. We are called wheat. "He said moreover, This is their resemblance through ALL THE EARTH" (a World Church). I think the woman in the ephah is a religious group, now become the harlot church of Babylon, but still professing to be Christian. Her city, Vatican city (Rev. 17:18), is moved to Babylon by two other women (religious groups, probably Judaism and Islam).
Zech. 5:10,11 says, "Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah? And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base" (the Tower of Babel).
When the wrath of God is about to be poured out on Earth, Christ begins his kingdom reign in Heaven on the Feast of Trumpets. The Marriage of the Lamb takes place, then while Earth and Heaven are respectfully silent one half hour (Rev. 8:1; Hab. 2:20), Christ is seated as judge at the Judgment Seat of Christ. The saints get their rewards at the same time that unbelievers on Earth get their just deserts for their unbelief. "And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ARK OF HIS TESTAMENT: and there were lightnings, and voices, and great hail" (Rev. 11:19).
The commandments were either/or, obey or else. Remember how the curses were put on one mountain and the blessings on another mountain? Deu 11:26-29 says, "Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day: And A CURSE, IF YE WILL NOT OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known. And it shall come to pass, when the LORD thy God hath brought thee in unto the land whither thou goest to possess it, that thou shalt put the blessing upon mount Gerizim, and the curse upon mount Ebal (STONY)."
Matthew Henry's Commentary says, "In mercy, the gospel again sets before us a blessing and a curse. A blessing, if we obey the call to repentance, to faith in Christ, and newness of heart and life through him; an awful curse, if we neglect so great salvation." Agape
I see no indication of resurrection on Nisan 10. The lamb was chosen and kept up from that day till it was sacrificed at Passover. To me, there would be more reason to think the Rapture might be on the Feast of Firstfruits than on Nisan 10. Not only was Jesus resurrected, but afterward, others came out of their graves and were seen in Jerusalem (Mt. 27:52). Then, Jesus took them to Heaven and came back later in the day. In John 20:17, "Jesus saith unto her (Mary Magdalene), Touch me not; for I am NOT YET ASCENDED to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ASCEND unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God." Later in the day, he could be touched.
Nisan 16, Resurrection Day, Feast of Firstfruits, this year is March 29, Ed's birthday. That's a bit early because of April showers, but it might not be impossible. Song of Sol. 2:10-14 says that the rain is over and gone.
Speaking of birthdays, my dad's birthday was 9-11. Ed found the date among our pictures today. I had lost track of which was the 10th and which was the 11th, Dad's and Ed's stepfather's. Hmmm. Agape
The majority will be left behind to go through the awful tribulation.
Thanks for your words of warning, I will pray that God bless you.
The 5 wise and 5 foolish virgins might indicate that about half of the Christians will be caught up in the Pre-Trib Rapture. That should be enough right there to make us sit up and take notice. The Tribulation saints will be caught up in the Pre-Wrath Rapture, but only 144,000 Israelites are sure to be added to the Bride group then. Rev. 14:4,5 says that the 144,000 are virgins, firstfruits, and without fault before the throne of God. That "without fault" is the secret. We need to use I John 1:9 and confess our known sins to God so that he can cleanse us from all unrighteousness (including our unknown sins). Rev. 7:14 shows us that the Tribulation saints have learned that lesson, for they have washed their robes in the blood of Christ. It would benefit us to take heed now, learning our lesson the easy way, rather than learning it the hard way and sacrificing our chance to be part of the Bride of Christ.
Thanks for your prayers. Agape
In I Corinthians 15; 23 we read "Every man in his own order (the word implies a regiment on the march);
"Christ the firstfruits (this word is appropriate to the day he rose from the grave; Lev. 23: 10,11); afterward they that are Christ's at his coming ....then comes the end".( I Cor. 15. 23,24).
If the order is
1: Christ the firstfruits, and
2: afterward they that are Christ's at his coming,
then is the Rapture somehow sandwiched in here somewhere, or is the allusion to "Christ the firstfruits" talking about the rapture. Earlier in the chapter it has already talked about Jesus being the "...firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep", (v. 20 of I Cor. 15).
The coming of Christ is usually applied to his second coming to the world; when all shall see him, not a secret coming as in the rapture.
The "end" seems to be referring to the end of the millenium, since at that time "...all things are under Him, that God may be all in all".
Some would extend the name "Christ" to all believers, (thus making them the 'firstfruits'), but in other places it speaks of Jesus being both Lord and Christ; as in particular to his person.
I do not know the answers to these questions, but it is something to ponder.
The Body of Christ is born into a new world like a baby, head first, then the shoulders and torso, last the legs and feet. On The Feast of Firstfruits, Christ (the seed, Gen. 3:15, the head of the Body of Christ) was resurrected. Afterward some came out of their graves and were seen in Jerusalem (Mt. 27:52,53). They were the rest of the barley sheaf waved on Firstfruits. After taking that rank to Heaven on Firstfruits, Christ returned to Earth, waited 40 days and returned to Heaven again. The Spirit of Christ returned to Earth 10 days later, on Pentecost, and Christ will catch up his Bride saints at the Pre-Trib Rapture. It seems that the wise Philadelphian virgins are one foot and the foolish Laodicean virgins the other foot of the Body of Christ. The wise virgins are caught up at the Pre-Trib Rapture, leaving the foolish virgins to be caught up at the Pre-Wrath Rapture, each in his own rank. Rotherham translated it, "But, each, in his own rank."
1Co 15:22,23 in the Literal Translation (LITV), may be easier to understand than the KJV. It says, "for as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruit; afterward those of Christ at His coming."
Christ is the firstfruit in Ro 11:16. It says, "For if the FIRSTFRUIT be holy, the lump is also holy, and if the root be holy, so are the branches." In Jas 1:18, we are a kind of firstfruits. It says, "Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be A KIND OF FIRSTFRUITS of his creatures." In Re 14:4, the 144,000 are also firstfruits. It says, "These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the FIRSTFRUITS unto God and to the Lamb." In these verses, we can recognize different ranks in the First Resurrection, Christ (ascended in 30 AD), the Philadelphians (who will ascend at the Pre-Trib Rapture) and the Tribulation saints (who will ascend at the Pre-Wrath Rapture). John 13:8-10 says, "Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit."
Peter gave us a list of things we should add to our faith "that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature" (the Holy Spirit) (II Peter 1:4). When we have enough oil of the Holy Spirit, we are wise virgins whose lamps burn brightly (Mt. 25:1f). We should add to our faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness and charity (agape love). If "ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ" (II Peter 1:5-11). Agape
