My monitor screen is getting darker as time goes on. I hope it will last until the Rapture. I'm telling you this so that if it goes out, you won't assume that something happened to Ed or me.

Incoming e-mail, Re: RAINING IN ISRAEL

From: Rev. Carolu Joy IHMS, 8-16-02, Zion's CRY
Although the rainy season doesn't begin for another two months or so, heavy rains fell in the Tel Aviv area this morning as well as in the Jerusalem Mountains. The weatherman says that this is the fringe of the freak weather that has hit Europe in recent days. Many prefer to see it as a blessing from God on Israel which is in need of the rain.

Hi i am a Pastor in Phoenix just checked out your site and i must say i found it intresting. I teach on the seven feasts of Israel. and i do believe that the rapture will take place in September during Trumpets. I was grieved though by your use of 1 john 1:9 the word confess is not used correctly by most christians in a word search one will find that from the original text it is a word that means "to agree with" and 1 john 1:9 was written to a lost man the word is eros tense passive always. I enjoyed your site but Salvation is not dependant upon what you do but what God has already done for you and in you through Jesus for those who believe and recieve his free gift by Grace through faith. In Christian Love

My reply

Salvation is a free gift from God when we accept Jesus Christ as our own personal Saviour. At this point, all our "old sins" (II Peter 1:9) are wiped off the slate. We are counted as pure virgins.

Afterward, when we sin, we are immediately out of fellowship with the Lord. Our joy is not full. Neither are we filled with the Holy Spirit. We are quenching the Holy Spirit. What must we do to get back in fellowship?

I John 1:4-9 says, "these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess (acknowledge) our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

In Psa. 32:5,6, David said, "I ACKNOWLEDGED MY SIN UNTO THEE, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I WILL CONFESS MY TRANSGRESSIONS unto the LORD; AND THOU FORGAVEST THE INIQUITY OF MY SIN.. Selah (pause and think of that). For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found."

Jesus taught Peter the same thing. Joh 13:4-10 says, "He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, IF I WASH THEE NOT, THOU HAST NO PART WITH ME. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean."

We must let Christ wash our feet. Otherwise, we are like the Laodiceans that are told to buy of Him white garments. How does a Laodicean become a Philadelphian for whom Jesus had no words of condemnation? He must bring his sins under the blood of Christ. This is the lesson the Tribulation saints have to learn. They learn it the hard way, but they do learn that lesson. They had to wash their robes in the blood of Christ to make them white. Only through confession to God can all our sins committed after we are saved be brought under the blood. Heb 12:14 says, "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

> > 1 john 1:9 was written to a lost man

John didn't give the way to be saved in the first chapter. He said, "these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. He said, "If WE say that WE have fellowship with him..." We includes John himself, a saved man. He is talking to believers, that their joy may be full. Without confession, the carnal believer has no way to get his sins committed after Salvation wiped off the books. He has no way to get back in fellowship with his holy God.

For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found." Agape

Below is an excerpt of one of the most amazing testimonies I have ever heard. It was forwarded to me the other day. I do not feel the liberty to share the name and tell the whole story but I will excerpt from it and keep it anonymous until I may be able to contact and get permission from the lady who had the experience.

See below. (Excerpt.)

My Dearest Family in Christ Jesus,
....On December 1st, 2000, at the age of 39, I had a massive heart attack, I was brought to a little hospital here in my hometown that doesn't even have a cath lab. At first they thought I was having gall bladder problems, after blood cultures were done every so often they realized and at 4:23 AM they proceeded to find a cardiologist...luckily there was a doc listening to a scanner 30 miles away at another hospital. He came quickly. They took me by ambulance to a cath lab. Brought me into surgery and started the angioplasty...I was a little shocked that they were not going to put me to sleep.

I laid there with these 9 monitors over my gurney, watching as the doctor explained his every move to me. I knew it was amazing to watch the dye light up my arteries and see the wire travel through my body and I never felt a thing. As he got to my heart...I saw my life beating...I thought of all the things I had done and how I had changed. I had recently given my life, that heart, back to God. I asked him to come into my heart, I was baptized, and I received the power of the Holy Ghost and had been able to sing in tongues only 3 months before.

As all this was going through my mind, the doc tells me, "Lisa, your main artery that feeds blood to your heart is 95% blocked, that is like I-10 being shut down, so I am going to have to put a stent in it to hold it open"

I asked him to put me to sleep. He told me he couldn't but that I would be fine. He needed me awake. So I started praying.

There were 18 people in that operating room, and every eye was on those monitors. He was getting the stent in place, and he said, "OK, Lisa you are going to feel a heavy sensation on your chest, you are going to feel like you can't breath, your legs and arms are going to go numb, and you will have a bad headache, this will only last a minute while I inflate the balloon the get the stent in place" I said "OK doc I am ready. Lets do it".

It happened so fast, my eyes were glued to that monitor, and then it artery heart stopped and yet I was still awake. I felt 36 hands on me and heard everyone in that room began to pray. I knew I was going to die. The doctor jumped up and ran to the phone to consult with a team in San Antonio, a nurse came in and said "Missy, if it helps you any at all your husband is out there on his knees beside the door talking to God." I closed my eyes and felt the hot tears of helplessness and love began to slide down the sides of my head. I went to a very dark place and felt the "presence." I talked with Jesus. I was so relaxed and calm and I felt so beautiful and I didn't want to go back. I wanted to go forward but Jesus told me ......

I confessed all my sins to Jesus that day, I was in His presence what seemed like forever. It was beautiful and I didn't want to come back but I knew I must obey.

I opened my eyes as they were going in through my artery in my neck, they butted another stent up against the other and it held. There was not a dry eye in that room. They all knew I should have died. They all knew a miracle had just been performed.

I have the minutes from the operating room with all my medical heart was stopped for 6 minutes...I can tell you all...that 6 minutes I spent with Jesus seemed like a zillion of my lifetimes....ya all know what they say about Eternity? It's FOREVER....

Please if anyone has and ear let him hear...HE IS COMING... JESUS IS COMING...AND HE IS COMING SOON...DO NOT BE LUKEWARM ...GET INTO YOUR BIBLE...FALL ON YOUR KNEES...TELL EVERYONE YOU SEE. The devil knows his days are numbered and he is out to kill, steal, and destroy and many souls as he can... please, please don't let it be yours...

In HIS Beautiful Grace and Mercy (Name withheld.)
(Bramlett note: If this is not enough to motivate us to tell others, I don't know what is. We are very blessed not to need a massive heart attack or to get hit upside the head with a 2 X 4 to get this message. God has gently given us the message via this email and other ways. Let us tell others. That was over a year and a half ago, and we are much closer now.)

Incoming email, Re: Prediction of Rapture

From: Tim Spiess
While I disagree with Mr. Corner about his post-trib position (see "Believe the Pre-Trib Rapture" at

I must warn the readers of Mr. Welch and Bay's disregard for the Lord's plain words: "Watch therefore, for you know neither the DAY nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming." (Matt. 25:13)

I exhort the readers to just do what the Lord commands ("Watch and pray") and put no trust or confidence in men's predictions.

My reply

That statement in Mt. 25:13 was made to the foolish virgins. Of course they do not know. If they did, they would have been ready. Rev. 3:3 addresses the Church. It says, "If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee." What will happen if we do watch? Wouldn't it say that he would not come on us as a thief, and we would know the hour?

> > The Pre-Tribulation Rapture is the Best Scriptural Conclusion, by Tim Spiess
> > ...Thus, any saint alive at the time when the Antichrist sets up the abomination in the temple (perhaps a clone of himself?) will be able to start counting down the days until Jesus Christ returns to the earth to defeat the Antichrist and initiate His reign over all the earth. The problem arises because of the statement Jesus plainly makes regarding some aspect of His second coming, "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only." (Matt. 24:36).

Mt. 24:35,36 says, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour KNOWETH no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Notice that it is talking about when Heaven and earth shall pass away. Also "knoweth" is present tense. On the day when this was stated, no man knew. It doesn't say that no man will ever know. Agape
> > Pre-Trib Rapture Arguments Examined, By Dan Corner
> > The Greek word found in Rev.3:10 and translated keep you from is also found at John 17:11 and 17:15 and can mean keep through. This is what will happen, if we are the generation of saints to face the antichrist -- we will be kept through that horrible time, that is, as long as we do our part for God to continue to keep us, as the Scriptures declare. See Rev. 13:10 and 14:12.

The word "ek" is also used in Rev. 5:9, where it is translated "out of."

> > So while it is true that the word church is not found after Rev. 4:1, a synonym for it certainly is!

The word "saints" is referring to the Tribulation saints.

> > Also, it was to John alone that God spoke the words come up here. To give a symbolic interpretation to any Scripture, which you are doing to say that phrase means the rapture, can lead to many strange, weird and unsound teachings. But those same words come up here are also found in another place in Revelation:
> > Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on. (Rev 11:12)
> > Those words were spoken to the two witnesses of Rev. 11, who were killed by the antichrist and clearly cannot refer to the rapture, as some try to make it mean in Rev. 4:1.

In Rev. 4:4, all 24 elders are in Heaven. John is one of those elders. I think they are the 12 patriarchs of Israel and the 12 apostles. Therefore, the Rapture has taken place. Heb 11:40 says, "God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect." If the elders are there, the Bride of Christ is there. Rev. 5:9 says that the saints in Heaven are "out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation," not just out of Israel.

When the Lord says, "Come up hither," in Rev. 4:1, it means that the same type of thing will happen as when he says, "Come up hither" to the 2 witnesses. The saints will ascend.

> > Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left. "Where, Lord?" they asked. He replied, "Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather." (Luke 17:31-37)
> > The disciples asked where they were taken. Jesus answered by referring to their dead bodies and vultures being gathered there! That refers to the wicked people, not the righteous.

The KJV says, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the BODY (soma, i.e., the Body of Christ) is, thither will the EAGLES (the Tribulation saints) be gathered together." Isa. 40:31 says, "Isa 40:31 says, "they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings AS EAGLES; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

> > Finally, notice that Jesus will come at an hour we do not expect him, Mat. 24:44. If He was coming at some time other than pre-trib, we would know when He was coming. Hence, the rapture can happen at any moment and must be pre-trib.
> > There are other Scriptures that must be examined besides the one saying that He will come at an hour we do not expect Him, such as the following one:
> > But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. (Mark 13:24-27, KJV
> > According to this Scripture, the gathering of the elect from earth to heaven (the rapture) cannot happen until first there is a radical change in the way we currently view the sun, moon and stars -- which means it cannot happen before this event occurs! Furthermore, that change will occur after the tribulation, according to the Lord Jesus.

The one taken will go the Heaven. That is where the Bride of Christ is, having been caught up before the Tribulation began. There are 2 Raptures, the Pre-Trib Rapture for the Bride of Christ and the Pre-Wrath Rapture for the Tribulation saints.

> > In Luke 21:36, Jesus taught: Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.
> > So we will escape the horrible things that will happen on the earth through the rapture.
> > ANSWER: What the saints will escape, according to that verse, is what comes after the rapture, which is the wrath of God. The saints will be delivered from the wrath of God, but not from the antichrist during the tribulation. Again, the tribulation is not the wrath of God.

Luke 21:36 didn't even mention the wrath of God. The Bride group is to escape ALL the things that will take place during the Tribulation.

> > The church will depart before the antichrist is revealed:
> > For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. (2 Thess. 2:7,8)

> > ANSWER: If we back up to the beginning of the chapter we read at v. 3 the following about the day of the Lord or the gathering of the saints to heaven (the rapture):
> > Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, (2 Thess. 2:3, NASB)
> > Very clearly that verse contradicts the pre-trib interpretation of verses 7 and 8, because two events must precede the gathering of the saints to heaven (the rapture):
(1) apostasy and (2) the revealing of the antichrist. In other words, verses 7 and 8 can't be the rapture, for the event stated there happens before the rapture. Take a close look at verses 1-3:
> > Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, (2 Thess. 2:1-3)
> > How then should we view verses 7 and 8? What will be taken out of the way BEFORE the antichrist is revealed? It has to be the restraining power of the Holy Spirit, since the saints will be here to face the antichrist, as shown in this chapter and elsewhere in Scripture.

My comments

2Th 2:1-8 (WEB, World English Bible) says, "Now, brothers, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together to him (the Pre-Trib Rapture), we ask you not to be quickly shaken in your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by letter as from us, saying that the day of Christ (all major MSS have day of the Lord, i.e., the Millennium) had come. Let no one deceive you in any way. For it (the millennial Day of the Lord) will not be, unless THE DEPARTURE (apostasia, departure, separation, as in a divorcement [apostacion] i.e., the Rapture) COMES FIRST, AND THE MAN OF SIN IS REVEALED (second), the son of destruction, he who opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God or that is worshiped; so that he (the False Prophet) sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself up as God (Mid-Trib). Don't you remember that, when I was still with you, I told you these things? Now you know what is restraining him, to the end that he may be revealed in his own season (the Tribulation). For the mystery of lawlessness already works. Only there is one who restrains now, until he (the Holy Spirit) is taken out of the way (at the Rapture). Then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will kill with the breath of his mouth, and bring to nothing by the brightness of his coming."

Incoming email, Church age: 2,000 years?

Check out these mathematical calculations I found on Jim Bramlett's web site...Does the 2,000 year Church Age end on this September 6th, 2002 A.D? I certainly think that the eleventh hour struck last year on September eleventh, 2001 when the Twin Towers fell.

While they stood they looked like a big eleven on the skyline. Now that they are gone we are almost at midnight. And right before midnight the bridegroom came suddenly when the wise virgins were taken in and the door was shut. But the foolish virgins who ran out of oil were too late and got left behind. Things are really starting to look up!

My reply

> > Does the 2,000 year Church Age end on this September 6th, 2002 A.D?

I hope the Rapture will be on Sept. 6, 2002, the Eve of Trumpets. I think Eve, the bride of Adam, was taken out of the body of the 1st Adam on the Eve of Trumpets. It seems likely that the Bride of Christ could be taken out of the Body of Christ, the 2nd Adam, on the Eve of Trumpets.

However, I don't think it is the end of the Age of the Church. I expect that to end on the Eve of Trumpets, Sept. 12, 2007, 40 years after the Sign of the End of the Age, the Six-Day War of 1967. The Feast of Trumpets, Sept. 13, 2007, seems to be the 1st day, called the Day of God, of the millennial Day of the Lord.

Rev 16:14 says, "they are spirits of demons, performing signs; which go forth to the kings of the whole inhabited earth, to gather them together for the war of that great DAY OF GOD ALMIGHTY." Gog's army of Eze. 38 will attack Israel, and the Lord will fight for Israel.

2Pe 3:12 says, "the coming of the DAY OF GOD, by reason of which the heavens being on fire will be dissolved, and the elements will melt with fervent heat."

Zec 14:1-3 says, "Behold, the DAY OF THE LORD cometh (i.e., 1st day), and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations (United Nations) against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle."

This is what happened on that day of battle. Jos 10:11 says, "it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that THE LORD CAST DOWN GREAT STONES FROM HEAVEN UPON THEM unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword." On the first day of the Millennium, the asteroids of Rev. 8:8,10 will impact Earth.

I disagree with some things in the text you sent me. I think the Crucifixion was on the Preparation of the Passover, Nisan 13, in 30 AD, not in 31 AD.

> > WE KNOW from history that the Temple was sacked in the late summer of 70 A.D. If we 'back-track' one generation from that time of 40 prophetic years we arrive at 31 A.D. at the time of Passover !!!

70 AD - 40 = 30 AD. We can't make it 31 AD without doing some finagling. AD 30, plus a 40-year generation, is 70 AD, when the temple was burned. The 40 years was set in Eze. 4:6. It says, "lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year." That is not figured using 360-day years. It is figured using the Jewish Calendar, which over a 19-year cycle agrees closely with our calendar.

Those 40 years equal one generation. Jesus told the Pharisees, "Verily (amen, so be it) I say unto you, All these things shall come upon THIS GENERATION." They did, in 70 AD.

> > When we go forward the remaining 49 generations of 40 years each-- FROM THE FALL OF 70 A.D WE ARRIVE AT THIS FALL 2002. The exact time would be September 6, 2002.

In actual years, 30 AD + 2000 = 2030. Since the 40 years (30 AD to 70 AD) were literal years, to be consistent, we must add 2000 literal years when testing to see if a theory works.

2000 yrs - BC 3 (when the wise men visited Jesus) + 1 (no zero year) = 1998. I think that 1998 was 6000 years since Adam was cast out of the Garden of Eden. It seems to me that the 4 years in the parable of the barren fig tree started in 1998. 1998 + 4 = 2002.

Sept. 13, 2007 - 7 bad years and 7 good years, as when Joseph (type of Christ) was in Egypt, = Sept. 13, 1993. The Oslo Accords were signed that day. Jacob went to Joseph in the 2nd bad year, which would picture 2002.

The Oslo Accords were ratified in Israel 3 days later, on Tishri 1, 5754. Adding 7 good years and 2 of the bad years brings us to Tishri 1, 2002, which is Sept. 7, 2002. When Jacob went to Egypt, there were still 5 years of famine. Gen 45:11 says, "there will I nourish thee; for YET THERE ARE FIVE YEARS OF FAMINE; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty." Tishri 1, 5763 (Sept. 7, 2002) + 5 = Tishri 1, 5768 (Sept. 13, 2007). It works out using normal years.

> > I certainly think that the eleventh hour struck last year on September eleventh, 2001 when the Twin Towers fell.

Something else is striking about that sign. It happened on Tuesday, Elul 23. TWO days later a terrible thunderstorm and pouring rain hit New York. SEVEN days later was Tuesday, Tishri 1. That follows the pattern for the 7 bad years. In the 2nd year, the Rapture (Christ comes AS THE RAIN, Hos. 6:3). After 5 more years, the asteroids impact Earth on Tishri 1.

De. 28:12 says, "The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the HEAVEN TO GIVE THE RAIN UNTO THY LAND IN HIS (Christ's) SEASON." Rain is a type of the Spirit of Christ. He comes as the former and latter rain (Hos. 6:3). The former rain is Tishri 1. This makes Elul 29/Tishri 1 (Sept. 6/7) seem like possibilities for the Raptures, both the Pre-Trib Rapture in 2002 and the Pre-Wrath Rapture 5 years later, in 2007. Agape
