The idea to unite Jordan and Iraq in a pro-US Hashemite kingdom after an American war is aimed at "ensuring a stable post-war Iraq", according to Stratfor, a strategic forecasting think tank based in the US.
It says that as a US war against Iraq nears both Washington and Middle Eastern players are working to make sure the expected American victory will result in strategic long-term gains. "The idea of a central Iraq populated by Sunni Arabs joining with Jordan to form one Hashemite kingdom is being considered as one way to secure such gains," Stratfor says. The plan, authored by US Vice President Dick Cheney, was first discussed at an unusual meeting between Crown Prince Hassan of Jordan and pro-US Iraqi Sunni opposition members in London in July.
The plan's goal in Iraq is to create a united Hashemite kingdom embracing Jordan and Iraq's Sunni areas. In a nutshell, the plan involves uniting Jordan and Sunni- populated areas of Iraq under the rule of the current Jordanian regime.
The report says this will be done if Iraqi Sunni leaders "appeal to King Abdullah with such a request, which has a weak but still legally valid justification, as Abdullah is the second cousin of the last Iraqi king, Faisal II, who was overthrown in 1958". The report says the plan will bring strategic benefits to the US, Israel and Jordan.
An idea to unite Jordan and Iraq in a pro-U.S. Hashemite kingdom after a U.S. war is being floated in diplomatic and opposition circles. The plan could be Washington's best scenario for ensuring a stable post-war Iraq...
As a U.S. war against Iraq appears to be nearing, both Washington and Middle Eastern players are working to make sure the expected American victory will result in long-term strategic gains. The idea of a central Iraq populated by Sunni Arabs joining with Jordan to form one Hashemite kingdom is being considered as one way to secure such gains.
Such a plan reportedly was discussed at an unusual meeting between Crown Prince Hassan of Jordan and pro-U.S. Iraqi Sunni opposition members in London in July. In September, Israeli paper Yedioth Ahronoth stated that the U.S. goal in Iraq was to create a united Hashemite kingdom that would embrace Jordan and Iraq's Sunni areas. Israeli terrorism expert Ehud Sprinzak recently echoed this sentiment on Russian television Sept. 24.
In a nutshell, the plan may involve uniting Jordan and Sunni-populated areas of Iraq under the rule of the current Jordanian regime. This could be done if Iraqi Sunni leaders appeal to King Abdullah with such a request, which has a weak but still legally valid justification, as Abdullah is the second cousin of the last Iraqi king, Faisal II, who was overthrown in 1958.
Who is floating the Iraq-Jordan idea, and who might benefit from its realization if it ever comes through? Although it might be wishful thinking by some Iraqi opposition members and Israeli media, it also could bring strategic benefits to the United States, Israel and Jordan.
Possible Gains for the United States
Sprinzak stated that the authors of a "Hashemite plan" are U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney and Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, both considered the most hawkish of Bush administration officials. The Russian television program "Drugoye Vremya" also reports that it was U.S. officials who twice invited Hassan to meet the Iraqi opposition last summer.
If this extension of the Hashimite Kingdom of Jordan became reality, it would be ruled from Amman instead of Baghdad. I think Jordan would be happy to unite with the Sunni Moslems in the middle section. The Kurds to the north should be happy with their own section containing the Kirkuk oilfield. The UN would be free to set up the Shia region in the south as the capital of the world, ruled from Babylon.
No wonder Bush is in a hurry to attack Iraq. Congress may agree within 48 hours. God is bringing his prophecies to pass. What Saddam started at Babylon would be finished by the world. The UN/UR towers would be built, only to fall on the first day of the millennial Day of the Lord.
Rev 18:15-19 says of Babylon, "The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city! And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her COSTLINESS! for in one hour is she made desolate."
Isa 30:25 says, "And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall."
Rev. 18:21 says, "And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone (the asteroid), and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all." One piece of the Binary Asteroid will fall in the Mediterranean Sea (Zeph. 2:3-5). The other piece will destroy Babylon, and the globe will be turned upside down (Isa. 24:1), evidently from the oblique descent of the asteroids.
Zec 5:3-11 says, "This is the curse (binary asteroid twice as long as wide) that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth (orbits Earth): for every one that stealeth (Thou shalt not steal; the Satan-possessed False Prophet is a thief like Judas Iscariot) shall be cut off as on this side according to it (i.e., according to one of the two stone tablets containing the 10 Commandments); and every one that sweareth (the Beast, the Tribulation Pope) shall be cut off as on that side according to it (the other stone tablet). I will bring it (the binary asteroid) forth, saith the LORD of hosts (Christ, Isa. 44:6), and it shall enter into the house of the thief (the False Prophet), and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name (the Pope that says he is infallible): and it (the asteroid) shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof. Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth. And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah (largest wheat measure) that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth (the world church, the United Religions). And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman (Catholic Church, the largest wheat measure) that sitteth in the midst of the ephah. And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.
"Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women (2 religious groups), and the wind was in their wings (i.e., airplanes flew); for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they (the airplanes) lifted up the ephah (world church housed at Vatican City) between the earth and the heaven. Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah? And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar (where the Tower of Babel was, Gen. 11-2): and it shall be established, and set there (i.e., in Babylon) upon her own base" (the Tower of Babel).
He is beloved by Jews, Christians and Muslims. Can this bond stop them from hating one another?
...That is the story. What is its importance? Despite every effort and argument, there is no way to know what century Abraham lived in, or even whether he actually existed as a person. (If he did live, it would have been between 2100 B.C. and 1500 B.C., hundreds of years before the date most historians assign to the actual birth of the religion called Judaism.)...
Then there is the matter of Isaac and Ishmael. Unlike the Torah, the Koran does not specify which son God tells Abraham to sacrifice. Muslim interpreters a generation after Muhammad concluded that the prophet was descended from the slave woman Hagar's boy, Ishmael. Later scholarly opinion determined that Ishmael was also the son who went under the knife. The decision effectively completed the Jewish disenfranchisement. Not only was their genealogical claim void, but their forefather lost his role in the great drama of surrender.

So far, it seems that the 4 years of the parable of the barren fig tree in Luke 13:6-9 began in 1998. Adding the 4 years brings us to 2002.
If the 7 good and 7 bad years (as when Joseph was in Egypt) started when the Oslo Accords were ratified in Israel on Tishri 1, 5754, we would be in the end of the 2nd bad year right now. The Jewish 5763 started Sept. 7, 2002.
That fits the OT type. Jacob/Israel went to Joseph (type of Christ) in the 2nd bad year (i.e., 2002), when there were yet 5 more years of famine (Gen. 45:6) (i.e., ending in 2007). This may show us when the Pre-Trib Rapture will be and when the end of the shortened Tribulation will be. We should know soon.
Note: ...the 2nd bad year (i.e., 2002, or in the Jewish 5763, which ends Sept. 28, 2003). Strange, the Intifada started Sept. 28, 2000. Food for thought.
Gen 45:6-8 says, "For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest. And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God."
The Hebrew word translated "deliverance" is pleytah, deliverance; concretely, an escaped portion:--deliverance, (that is) escape(-d), remnant.
Gen. 45:7 (YLT) says, "God sendeth me before you, to place of you a remnant in the land, and to give life to you by A GREAT ESCAPE" (the Rapture).
Other possibilities: Cheshvan 17 (Oct. 23, 2002), when Noah was shut in the Ark and it began to rain, Cheshvan 27 (Nov. 2, 2002), when Noah exited the Ark, or Kislev 24, Eve of Hanukkah (Nov. 29, 2002), which Haggai 2 tells us to consider, or Pentecost, Sivan 6/7 (June 6/7, 2003).
The most important thing is to be sure we have confessed all known sins so the Lord can cleanse us of all unrighteousness (I John 1:9). We want every sin to be covered by the blood of Christ. Agape
