"Here is some food for thought. The bulge in the southern wall of the temple area is steadily getting worse. Some think it might break in another month. Isa 30:13 says, "Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in A HIGH WALL, WHOSE BREAKING COMETH SUDDENLY AT AN INSTANT." Agape
Isa. 30 presents both a near and far view, the near as a type of that which is to come. V. 8 says, "Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come (LITV: 'for the latter day') for ever and ever."
Israel should trust in the Lord to preserve her, not in their own strength. V. 15 says, "thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning (marked by Israel declaring her Independance in 1948) and rest shall ye be saved (yasha, i.e., by Y'shua/Jesus); in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not."
"Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach READY TO FALL, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking (sheber, crashing) cometh suddenly at an instant. And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters' vessel (of clay soil, i.e., the binary asteroid, Rev. 8:8,10, Zech. 5) that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it (the asteroid) a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit" (v. 13,14).
Concerning the latter days, Isa 30:25-30 says, "there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters (i.e., great tsunamis) in the DAY OF THE GREAT SLAUGHTER, WHEN THE TOWERS FALL (not only at Babylon, but in the whole world, Rev. 16:19). Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold (because the elements of much of the atmosphere will be melted, 2 Peter 3:10), as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound. Behold, the name of the LORD (Y'shua/Jesus Christ) cometh (7 months before the glorious Second Advent, Eze. 39:12,13) from far (Heaven), burning with HIS ANGER, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of INDIGNATION, and his tongue as a devouring fire: And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing them to err. Ye shall have a song ('as it were a new song' of the raptured 144,000 in the Pre-Wrath Rapture, Rev. 7:14; 16:3), as in the night (6 PM to 6 AM) when a holy solemnity is kept (the Feast of Trumpets; the Day of God, 2 Peter 3:12; 1st day of the millennial Day of the Lord); and gladness of heart, as (symbolic language) when one goeth with a pipe to COME INTO THE MOUNTAIN OF THE LORD (the Pre-Wrath Rapture, between 6 PM and the following noon), to the mighty One of Israel. And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard (probably saying, 'Come up hither' as in the Pre-Trib Rapture, Rev. 4:1), and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of HIS ANGER (the asteroids hit at noon, Zeph. 2,1-5), and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones" (hail of rocks).
If the breaking of the southern wall would be a sign of the coming Day of God's Wrath, it might break about the time of the Pre-Trib Rapture. Psa. 40:1-3 shows that many will see the Rapture, fear, and trust in the Lord. If the wall fell at the following noon after the 1st Rapture, it would be a good sign of the falling of every wall at noon at the 2nd Rapture.
Now the western wall to the right of the section called the wailing wall is wet and bulging. I have no picture yet of that, but here is the latest of the wet stain on the white stone in the Wailing Wall. I put a lense in the middle of it to magnify the stain some. It is still there. Agape
Also I was disappointed to find out the Rapture will probably will not take place until 2004 or 2005 because of the Jubilee yr. and that the event will occur on Pentecost. What about the later wheat harvest? My family are wheat farmers and we have a spring harvest and a fall harvest. In the spring we harvest the winter wheat, in the fall we harvest thesummer wheat. And we get paid when the full harvest is in.(the fall)
I have many questions. Also the Jews understand that the fall feasts rep. A wedding.
The answer to the above:
Do you have the Baptism In The Holy Ghost, like Jesus sent on the day of Pentecost to all the believers. It is a gift to the believer. Yes, with speaking in tongues. This is the extra vessel of oil that Matt. 25 speaks of. It is the Spirit of Power, the one that raised Jesus from the dead, and the many saints that arose after him, and will quicken our mortal bodies (change us instantly). See Romans 8:11, and John 6:63. You do not need to go to a synagogue, and certainly not become Jewish. Even the Jew must accept Jesus before he can become a part of the bridehood. You are doing good, pray for your friends and family, follow the 10 commandments and keep the true sabbath (Saturday). Many are going back to having home studies, like they did in the early church because mainstream church will not recieve the truth. They certainly are not going to keep the real sabbath and that is very important. Nor will they come out of man's traditions (Christmas, Easter, and Halloween). These are of pagan origin and we are not to take part in them if we want to be the bride of our most holy King of Kings. The rapture will not take place on 2004, that was given as an example before I realized that 2005 would be more in line with the charting of Jubilee years
. I am NOT saying it will happen on 2005, but at this point, only a good possibility. Pentecost is the wheat harvest for the bride who is taken out of the church. The fall wheat harvest represents physical Israel, when she is atoned for after Jesus returns with all the saints from heaven to stay, and it will be on the feast of Atonement, at the beginning of the Jubilee year....God bless you.
When she came in the house one evening later on, she saw David and I with our fingers locked across the kitchen table. David was so happy, she knew what was happening. She said, "Thank God I didn't have to die." She had wanted her brother to find what she found (at a Baptist teen camp) so bad that she prayed that he would find it--even if she had to die. When it had happened to her earlier, she had said, "Thank God I didn't have to write a book." Mom was always writing a book.
What did it take for Carol, a Christian of many years, to be totally filled with the Holy Spirit? She decided that she had run her life for 16 years, and she would see what the Lord could do with it. She surrendered 100% of her life to the Lord, nothing held back.
What did it take for David to find what Carol found? the same thing, total commitment.
Neither spoke in tongues at that time. Both did one night later on when they went to Melodyland Church near Disneyland. Returning home afterward, they and their friends burst in the door asking if speaking in tongues was right. I said, "I don't know, but I'll find out. I took out half of the books on glossolalia from the BIOLA Library Seminary Collection the next day. The day following that, I took out the rest of them and continued my study, returning the books as I finished with them.
Before I could figure it out, their group came and told me it was wrong. How did they know?
Before that, they met each evening at Winchell's Donut shop or Jay's Coffee Shop in Whittier for Bible study. They brought into their group anyone that seemed interested. Several college-age kids accepted Christ. Things were working to further the Lord's work--until they went to Melodyland and started speaking in tongues.
They all became selfish, wanting the feeling that went along with speaking in tongues. They were after their own personal good rather than the good of the group. Their smooth-working group started to fall apart.
I'm glad they could see why themselves before I figured it out. Faith should come before feeling. If feelings come, fine. If feelings don't come fine. It is the 100% commitment to the Lord that counts. Then he will do as he sees fit.
I told the Lord that if he wanted me to speak in tongues, OK, but if he didn't want me to speak in tongues, OK. I didn't and haven't.
One Wednesday evening, I took the group to Calvary Chapel, never dreaming that any of them spoke in tongues. I never heard anything like that at Sunday morning service.
The young man preaching that night asked if anyone wanted to speak in tongues, but not to flesh-out as they had last week.
A newcomer to the group was sitting with me. Terrified, she wanted to know if they were going to do that? If so, she was going to split. She had had a scary experience when taken to what she called "a Holy Roller church," when she hadn't even accepted Christ yet. Knowing that she would really split, I held her hand and prayed through the rest of the sermon that if this was of the Lord, they would speak in tongues, and if it wasn't of the Lord, they would not speak in tongues. They didn't.
Since the latter person's e-mail has important points for us to understand correctly, I will explain my viewpoint. Her statements are marked > > .
> > Do you have the Baptism In The Holy Ghost, like Jesus sent on the day of Pentecost to all the believers. It is a gift to the believer. Yes, with speaking in tongues. This is the extra vessel of oil that Matt. 25 speaks of.
Jesus baptizes us with the Holy Spirit the instant we accept him. That baptism is not always followed by speaking in tongues. It is the Lord's decision and for his work. On the mission field, sometimes someone speaks with an unknown tongue to them, but in the normal language of the area. We should leave that up to the Lord, not ask for an emotional high for ourselves only.
Notice that in Acts 2:2-4, the disciples did not ask to speak in tongues. They were filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues "as the Spirit gave them utterance."
Act 2:2-4 says, "And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."
That was in fulfillment of Isa. 28:9-13. It says, "Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk (milk of the Word), and drawn from the breasts (i.e., when the Church is older and ready for 'strong meat'). For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: FOR WITH STAMMERING LIPS AND ANOTHER TONGUE WILL HE SPEAK TO THIS PEOPLE (it was a sign to the Jews). To whom he said, THIS IS THE REST wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and THIS IS THE REFRESHING: yet they would not hear. But the word of the LORD WAS (past tense) unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; THAT THEY MIGHT GO, AND FALL BACKWARD, AND BE BROKEN, AND SNARED AND TAKEN."
Heb 4:1-11 says, "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into HIS REST, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into MY REST: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into MY REST. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and THEY TO WHOM IT WAS FIRST PREACHED ENTERED NOT IN BECAUSE OF UNBELIEF: Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. FOR IF JESUS HAD GIVEN THEM REST, THEN WOULD HE NOT AFTERWARD HAVE SPOKEN OF ANOTHER DAY. THERE REMAINETH THEREFORE A REST TO THE PEOPLE OF GOD. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief."
The tongues of Acts 2 were actual languages, heard and understood by those in the crowd that spoke that language. There "were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven...every man heard them speak in his own language" (2:5,6). The miracle that day was much greater than merely speaking in an unknown tongue. Since there were more Jews present than the disciples, the greater miracle was in the hearing. Every one of those "out of every nation under heaven heard them speak in his own language."
The same kind of miracle was repeated later for the Gentiles. Now, we are both one body.
Up till c. 96 AD, when The Revelation of Jesus Christ was written, some spoke in tongues and others interpreted prophecies. After the Scriptures were complete, there was no need of any more such prophecies, and speaking in tongues failed.
1Co 13:1-13 says, "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (agape, God's love, i.e., the Spirit of God), I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity (God's love), it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity (God's love) never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be TONGUES, THEY SHALL CEASE; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect (God's complete word) is come (c. 96 AD), then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but WHEN I BECAME A MAN, I PUT AWAY CHILDISH THINGS. For now (before 70 AD) we see through a glass, darkly; but then (c. 96 AD) face to face (Christ tells us that he is the Almighty in Rev. 1:8): now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity (tongues are not mentioned), these three; but the greatest of these is charity (God's agape love)." When we are filled with the Spirit of Christ/Spirit of God/Holy Spirit, we have this attribute of God, agape love.
Everyone that accepts Christ, but has not spoken in tongues, is NOT LOST. Our salvation is by faith in Christ--plus nothing. Eph 2:8,9 says, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Rom 8:9 is very clear. It says, "ye are not in the flesh (unsaved), but in the Spirit (saved), if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." It does not say that the Spirit of Christ dwells in you and you therefore speak in tongues. All believers, whether they speak in tongues or not, have the Spirit of Christ/Spirit of God/Holy Spirit in them. They are sealed until the Day of Redemption of their body" (the Rapture).
Eph 1:13 says, "In whom (Christ) ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise."
Eph 4:30 says, "And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption" (the Rapture).
Rom 8:23 says, "And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body."
> > speaking in tongues. This is the extra vessel of oil that Matt. 25 speaks of.
I doubt it. Peter spoke to the crowd after he received the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. He understood how we can be partakers of the divine nature, i.e., the Holy Spirit of Christ/God/the Almighty. Listen as he tells us how we can be sure of having enough of the Spirit of Christ.
In 2Pe 1:4-11, Peter said, "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: THAT BY THESE YE MIGHT BE PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE (THE HOLY SPIRIT), having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your FAITH VIRTUE; and to virtue KNOWLEDGE; And to knowledge TEMPERANCE; and to temperance PATIENCE; and to patience GODLINESS; And to godliness BROTHERLY KINDNESS (the meaning of Philadelphia); and to brotherly kindness CHARITY (AGAPE LOVE). For IF THESE THINGS BE IN YOU, AND ABOUND, THEY MAKE YOU THAT YE SHALL NEITHER BE BARREN NOR UNFRUITFUL in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind (like the Laodiceans), and cannot see afar off (Heaven), and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins (committed before he accepted Christ). Wherefore the rather, BRETHREN (BELIEVERS), GIVE DILIGENCE TO MAKE YOUR CALLING AND ELECTION SURE: FOR IF YE DO THESE THINGS, YE SHALL NEVER FALL: FOR SO AN ENTRANCE (THE RAPTURE THROUGH HEAVEN'S 'OPEN DOOR,' Rev. 3:8; 4:1) SHALL BE MINISTERED UNTO YOU ABUNDANTLY INTO THE EVERLASTING KINGDOM OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST."
"For many are called, but few are chosen" (Mt. 22:14). We need to be called and chosen. Rev. 17:14 is right after the Rapture. It says, "he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that ARE WITH HIM ARE CALLED, AND CHOSEN, AND FAITHFUL." We need to be called, and chosen and faithful.
Jesus told Peter that if he didn't wash Peter's feet, he had no part with him (Christ). Our dirty feet represent sins committed after we accept Christ. Those have to be confessed to God to bring them under the blood of Christ (as in Rev. 7:14).
In John 13:8-10, "Peter saith unto him (Jesus), Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, IF I WASH THEE NOT, THOU HAST NO PART WITH ME. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all (speaking of Judas Iscariot)."
1Jo 1:4-9 says, "And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie (a sin), and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light (i.e., without sin), as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS, AND TO CLEANSE US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS."
When we have all our sins under the blood of Christ, we are back in fellowship with our holy God. Then the Holy Spirit is like a fountain of living water welling up within us until we are filled with the Holy Spirit. We are partakers of His Divine Spirit. This Divine Holy Spirit is the oil that we must have enough of in the parable of the 10 virgins. The wise virgins have enough oil. The foolish do not.
> > Many are going back to having home studies, like they did in the early church because mainstream church will not recieve the truth. They certainly are not going to keep the real sabbath and that is very important.
Col 2:16,17 says, "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days. Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."
> > The rapture will not take place on 2004, that was given as an example before I realized that 2005 would be more in line with the charting of Jubilee years.
Time will tell, but I think the Rapture will take place in this Jewish year, 5763. It runs from Tishri 1 (Sept. 7, 2002) through Elul 29 (Sept. 26, 2003).
(Your e-mailer) may be right about Pentecost (Sivan 6/7, June 6/7, 2003). I don't know if that will be a Jubilee year, or if the Rapture has to be a Jubilee year. Agape
You know how sometimes you look for something and you search all over the place and you can't find it anywhere. Then you get a second pair of eyes to help you look and it is right in front of you and always has been. That's what you do for me. Thank you and God Bless You!
I love the verse that says, "Nothing is impossible with God" (Luke 1:37, NIV). We must never limit God. He is still in the miracle business. Below are two miracles I have seen that I just remembered yesterday:
1. Jesus is still multiplying the loaves and fishes just as He did in Matthew 15:35-38. A few years ago, my wife and I had a buffet dinner party for some other members of the ministry where we were working, and everyone brought a covered dish. Near the end of the dinner, the food was almost gone, but one couple was very late and had not yet arrived. It appeared that there would be no food left for them. I prayed and left it in the hands of the One to whom nothing is impossible. The late couple finally arrived and went through the food line in the kitchen as though everything was normal. I was amazed to see their plates piled high with food, which strangely seemed in abundance. Then some others came back for seconds and thirds! It was astonishing. And like the loaves and the fishes, there was food left over. Things like this surprise us, but they should not. Experiencing God's miracle power should be part of the normal Christian life, just like in the Bible. Jesus has not changed.
2. Years ago I was responsible for the central 700 Club telephone counseling center, which was staffed with volunteers. One day an eager young man came to my office carrying a big Bible. He said he wanted to be a volunteer counselor. Upon questioning, I discovered that he was only age 17. I thanked him, but being a stickler for "rules," I told him I was sorry but we had a minimum age limit of 18, but I offered to let him set in the counseling room so he could observe what went on. He liked the idea, so I took him there, sat him down at one of the vacant counseling positions, and made sure the telephone was off the hook so it would not ring. Later, I found out that while he was sitting there, the telephone, which was off the hook, actually rang (which was scientifically impossible). He decided to answer it, and it was a young lady on the other end of the telephone, the exact same age, 17, and from his own denomination. She needed someone to talk to and he was just the right person to share with her concerning her need. The timing and circumstances were amazing. By causing that phone to ring and violating the laws of physics, God had miraculously overruled my legalism to accomplish His loving purposes. That day I learned two very dramatic lessons that I have never forgotten -- (1) God is in charge, not me! and (2) His grace overshadows His laws, sometimes even physical laws. Jim
Sonar images taken from a research ship 2,000 feet above are even more puzzling.
They show that the smooth, white stones are laid out in a geometric pattern. The images look like fragments of a city, in a place where nothing man-made should exist, spanning nearly eight square miles of a deep-ocean plain off Cuba's western tip....
Then, by sheer serendipity, on a summer day in 2000, as the Ulises was towing its sonar back and forth across the ocean like someone mowing a lawn, the unexpected rock formations appeared on the sonar readouts....
