Now in the spiritual......Christ is the husband.........the church is the bride, where does the church take on the name of Jesus Christ? someone said that is one of the reasons why we are baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, now we are his and we belong to him for we have taken on his name, a name shows ownership.
is this correct? thank again for your help
Eph 1:13 says, "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise."
Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." The Spirit of Christ is the Spirit of God. Rom 12:5 says, "So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another."
2Co 1:22 says, "Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts."Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he (Jesus) hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."
Rev 7:3 says, "Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads."
The Bride of Christ is part of the Body of Christ. The Bride is made up of wise virgins with enough oil of the Holy Spirit to keep their lamps burning brightly (Mt. 25:1f). They are the called, and chosen, and faithful ones that are seen with Christ, the Lamb of God, after the Pre-Trib Rapture in Rev. 17:14.
At the coming of Christ, the Bridegroom, for his Bride, the foolish virgins will be left behind. Luk 12:46 The lord of that servant (the unwise believer) will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder (literally, cut him off), and will appoint him his portion (the Tribulation) with the unbelievers." Mt. 24:51 adds, "And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion (the Tribulation) with the hypocrites (pretenders): there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
The parable of the man who did not have on the white wedding garment is in Mt. 22:1-14. He was cast outside the doors of the wedding feast. "For many are called, but few are chosen." We want to be called, and chosen, and faithful.
All past sins are wiped off the slate when we accept Christ. Any sins committed after that must be confessed to God, so he can cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Unconfessed sins form a sin barrier between us and God. The level of the Holy Spirit dwindles, and we are out of fellowship with our Holy God. When those sins are confessed, the Holy Spirit in us wells up like a fountain of living water. We have enough oil (also a symbol of the Holy Spirit) in our lamps to go with the Bridegroom when he comes for his Bride. Those foolish virgins that are left behind will be caught up to Heaven in the Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Tribulation saints.
We don't have to be baptized to carry the name of Christian. We are saved and sealed at the moment we accept Christ as our own personal Saviour. Christ baptizes us with the Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ, instantly. Water baptism is a symbol that the baptism in the Holy Spirit has already taken place when we first believed. We are a vessel for containing the Holy Spirit. That's why king David said his cup runneth over. He was filled with the Holy Spirit. Agape
what does it mean to believe in God or Jesus Christ? don't all the scriptures connect together to find more of God? Romans 1:5 we receive grace for obedience to the faith, what obedience do we need? then is it obedience that saves? hear the gospel, believe the gospel, obey the gospel,
now we ask the question how do we obey? his commandments, baptism would be one of his commandments, obedience works and merit works are quite a bit different type of works, don't you think?
Thank you for helping us to separate the different ways people believe.
Here is how the keeper of the prison was saved. Act 16:25-33 says, "at midnight Paul and Silas (who were in prison) prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, SIRS, WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED? AND THEY SAID, BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED, and thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway."
> > If Romans 10:9,10 if the only way to get saved, then what is for the church at Ephesians or Corinthians or etc?
Every person during the Age of the Church is saved by having faith in Jesus Christ. Faith is believing in, relying on, and trusting in Jesus Christ. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
God doesn't repeat everything to each church group. The Bible would be too large to carry. He puts his instructions in the Bible and expects us to read it. It doesn't matter who a section of Scripture was originally addressed to. "ALL SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2Ti 3:16).
Things that happened in the past are written in Scripture for us, who live in the end of the age. Many things are types of things to come at the end of this age. 1Co 10:11 says, "Now all these things happened unto them for ENSAMPLES (Old English for examples): and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world (aionos, ages) are come."
> > we found 5 different churches started in Acts, could this be the starting point to go with?
Not necessarily. The formation of the Church was marked for Israel by the phenomenon of speaking in tongues. People out of every nation heard the disciples speak in their own language. When the Gentiles were brought into the Church, speaking in tongues also marked that milestone for the Gentiles at Cornelius' house. Prophesying and speaking in tongues continued until the last book of the Bible had been written about 96 AD. Speaking in tongues is not necessarily what will happen when we accept Christ today.
Speaking in tongues was a sign to the Jews. Isa 28:9-11-12 says, "Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts (the Church is now old, ready for strong meat, not the milk of the Word). For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: For WITH STAMMERING LIPS AND ANOTHER TONGUE (a foreign language) WILL HE SPEAK TO THIS PEOPLE. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear."
Of milk and strong meat, Heb. 5:12-14 says, "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of MILK, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But STRONG MEAT belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."
We are first to accept Christ, then feed on the milk of the Word. Later on, we need the strong meat.
> > what is the bible for? all for interpretation of what I think it means? don't you think that is why we have so many different churches today, cause no one uses examples God left us with
Mankind is being tested. Our manual so we can pass our test is the Bible. We need to know what it says. You might not get all the teachings if you only look for examples. There are examples, but there are also God's teachings that are not by example. If you strain out the examples and only study those, you will miss out on a lot of other things.
God is talking to you in his Word. Don't limit what God can do or say. We have to play this game his way. Read with an open mind and let the Holy Spirit of Christ help you understand what he is trying to get across. Start with John and read through Revelation, then start with Isaiah and read to John. By knowing the prophecies, you will get more out of the first part of the Bible. Why? because the Israelites were caused to play out little skits to help us understand prophecy. Their history is HIS STORY as well as the rest of the Bible.
John 20:31 says, "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name."
Sometimes churches are established by a community. At other times, churches split over differences of opinion. For instance, Baptists think a person should be immersed when baptized. Methodists sprinkle a person to baptize them. I changed from a Methodist church to a Baptist church, because I wanted to be immersed because Jesus was. So I was baptized twice.
> > what does it mean to believe in God or Jesus Christ?
It means to believe that God and Jesus exist, that Jesus died and was resurrected, and is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him. The just shall live by faith. Since I believe in Christ, I place my faith in Christ.
Heb 11:1 says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Heb 11:6 says, "without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
Rom 1:17 says, "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith."
Gal 3:11 says, "But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith."
Heb 10:38 says, "Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him."
> > don't all the scriptures connect together to find more of God?
Yes. The whole Bible helps us develop our understanding of God. The more we study, the more we can see that the scriptures are truly God-breathed, every word.
The original manuscripts were perfect, 100% true. The Jewish scribes were so meticulous that the scriptures that have come down to us are to be trusted. Translations into different languages are a bit different. Generally very trustworthy, there are times that we need to look up the original word to understand fully all that is being taught. Strong's Concordance is the best tool for studying the scriptures that I know of. E-Sword is a free Bible program that you can download if you have plenty of memory on your computer. Go to http://www.e-sword.net E-Sword has Strong's Concordance on it along with several different Bible translations.
I like the King James Version for my main study Bible, but look up things in lots of other Bibles to try to understand exactly what a certain passage means. Sometimes, because a translator chooses a different word from the choices he has will bring out something that is more vague in other translations.
Romans 1:5 we receive grace for obedience to the faith, what obedience do we need? then is it obedience that saves? hear the gospel, believe the gospel, obey the gospel,
In Rom. 1:5, Paul was talking of "WE," himself and the other 11 apostles. In verses 5-7 Paul said, "By whom WE have received grace and APOSTLESHIP, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: Among whom are YE (people in Rome and elsewhere) also the called of Jesus Christ: To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, CALLED TO BE SAINTS: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ." We are all called to be saints, but we have not all received "grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name."
It is FAITH in Jesus Christ that saves us, not obedience. Obedience is works. We could work as hard as we could for our whole lives and not be saved any more than the Jews that keep the commandments are saved. It only takes one sin and we are lost and in need of a Saviour. No man has ever been saved by obeying the Law. We are just not that good. We hear the gospel of Christ, believe the gospel, and then accept Christ as our own personal Saviour. How would you obey the gospel? It tells us about Christ, what he has done in our behalf. We are called to make a decision about Christ. The gospel may cause obedience, but it doesn't demand obedience flat out.
> > now we ask the question how do we obey? his commandments, baptism would be one of his commandments, obedience works and merit works are quite a bit different type of works, don't you think?
We are not saved by obeying the commandments or by being baptized. We are saved by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Gal 3:10 says, "For AS MANY AS ARE OF THE WORKS OF THE LAW ARE UNDER THE CURSE: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them."
Eph 2:7 says, "That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For BY GRACE ARE YE SAVED THROUGH FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Tit 3:5 says, "NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH WE HAVE DONE, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost."
Only after we are saved can we earn rewards for good works that we do. Agape
Isaiah 13: the [Prophecy] of Babylon (Iraq) 3) Lift ye up a banner ("resolution") upn the high mountain (the UN), exalt the voice unto them (Bush goes to NATO) shake the hand (try for an agreement) that they may go into the gates of the nobles (palaces of Saddam Hussein).
3) I have commanded my sanctified ones (armies set appart for this job) I have also called my mighty ones (USA) for mine anger (against Islam in God's land) even them that rejoice in my highness (not in Allah's lowness!).
4) The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host (NATO?) of the battle. (God is putting this attack together!)
5) They come from a far country (USA is far from Iraq) from the end of heaven, even the LORD, AND THE WEAPONS OF HIS INDIGNATION (God is going to use Bush to destroy Iraq) TO DESTROY THE WHOLE LAND!
6) Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; (2 and a half months?) it shall come AS a destruction from the Almighty. (Notice the figurative language, "as." It will seem like God, Himself destroyed the land, as He did with Sodom and Gomorrah.)
7) Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt: (Iraqi men, that is)
8) And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows whall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames
9) Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land (of Iraq and other ME Islamic countries)) desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners (Muslims) thereof out of it.
10) For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. (Nuclear winter in the Middle East that will spread around the world for the next few years into the Tribulation Period)
11) And I will punish the world for their evil [those unbelieving people that did not make the Rapture at the very beginning of the destruction of the Middle East!] and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancey of the proud to cease [those who think they can get along fine without God, thank you, and besides "they" are "gods" unto themselves], and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible [the Muslim leaders, Osama, his henchmen, the Ayatollahs, the Saudis, the Fahds, Arafat, Bashar Assad, King Abdullah, and especially Saddam Hussein].
12) I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. (God says widows are "increased to me above the sand of the seas," PROVING THAT THIS IS NOT AN ASTEROID. AN ASTEROID WOULD HAVE KILLED THE "widows" also! (Jer 15:8,9) No, these "widows" are left in the rest of the world from the 2 or 3 million men that will have attended the Hajj in Mecca next Feb 10th! See Hajj, 2003 on the internet.
13) Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger." This is thermonuclear, not asteroidal!
It has already started: 17) Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it (the Kurds)
18) Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare shildren (they reqlly hate the Iraqis).
19) And Babylon, (Iraq), the glory of the (Islamic) kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees (Islamic Iraqis) excellency, shall be AS (meaning, LIKE) when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
20) It shall never be inhabited...neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there,..(Has this ever happened in history? No, then it is future prophecy!) This even shows the location: Arabian areas! Not the US of A!
22) "...and jackals shall cry in their pleasant palaces (Saddam has many 'presidential palaces,' right?) and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged." (2 and one half months!)
This Scripture could only be true if as Daniel says, the Bible is sealed up until the end, and this is the end. If this is not the end, this will not happen.
Isaiah 14:1 "For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob (wiped out totally for three days at the initial destruction of the Middle East Islamic nations), "and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob: notice? it says, THE HOUSE OF JACOB! ! ! ! ! ! =
"Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the WHOLE HOUSE OF ISRAEL:!!!!!" ( Ezekiel 37:11) (This from the "dry bones chapter of Ezekiel)
I"m putting all my eggs in one basket this time. I really think this is it. Hey! I've been wrong before, as you all know. But, man, look how appropriate the Scriptures are for today. All those imprecatory Pslams involve Islam, over 90% (Especially Psalm 83!)
Well, right or wrong, we will be found watching: Luke 12:37 "Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them." Wo!
Payers and blessing for all

Is the United States Responsible for the Destruction of Babylon?
Bill Koenig and Yacov Rambsel 11-11-02
On February 18 of this year I was having breakfast in Nashville with John McTernan, co-author with me of "Israel: The Blessing or the Curse," just before leaving for the National Religious Broadcasters Convention. John told me he felt the Lord had shown him that the Isaiah 13: 4-6 "kingdoms of nations" that "come from a far country, from the end of heaven," to destroy Babylon, is the United States (with possible support from Britain)....
Also, if in fact this scripture talks about the US, will the nukes be used offensively or defensively to destroy the whole land? If defensively, will this be in response to an attack against our soldiers or to our homeland?
We will watch the events closely in the weeks and months ahead to see in fact if the United States is the far away country, from the end of heaven, that destroys Babylon just before the day of the Lord.
Isaiah 13: 1-6 (KJV)
The Doom of Babylon Predicted
1 The burden against Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw. Lift up a banner on the high mountain, Raise your voice to them; Wave your hand, that they may enter the gates of the nobles. I have commanded My sanctified ones; I have also called My mighty ones for My anger-- Those who rejoice in My exaltation. The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle. They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land. Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as destruction from the Almighty.
...Isaiah 13:6 says when the whole land is destroyed the Day of the Lord will be at hand. Many Bible scholars believe the Day of the Lord is the final seven-year tribulation period. A few believe the Day of the Lord is the final three and a half years....
What happened on the prototype, Joshua's Long Day? "Jos 10:11 says, "it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron (house of hollowness), that THE LORD CAST DOWN GREAT STONES FROM HEAVEN (lit., heavens, i.e., asteroids or meteorites) UPON THEM unto Azekah (dug over), and they died: they were more which died with hailstones (barad eben, slingstones, as when David slew Goliath of Gath [winepress]) than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword."
Isa 13:5 They (the Son of David and his slingstones, the asteroids of Rev. 8:8,10) come from a far country (Heaven), from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of HIS INDIGNATION, to destroy the whole land.
Isa 13:6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand (it will start at 6 PM on the Eve of Trumpets); it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty....
Isa 13:9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh (as the Feast of Trumpets starts), cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he (the Lord) shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
Isa 13:10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
Isa 13:11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible....
Isa 13:13 Therefore I WILL SHAKE THE HEAVENS, AND THE EARTH SHALL REMOVE OUT OF HER PLACE, IN THE WRATH OF THE LORD OF HOSTS (Christ, Isa. 44:6), and in the day of his fierce anger. Isa 13:14 And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land.
Isa 13:15 Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.
Isa 13:16 Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.
Isa 13:17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.
Isa 13:18 Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.
Isa 13:19 And BABYLON, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, SHALL BE AS WHEN GOD OVERTHREW SODOM AND GOMORRAH."
The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah was by an asteroid impact.
Isa 13:20 "It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there. " This destruction is still future.
> > Many Bible scholars believe the Day of the Lord is the final seven-year tribulation period. A few believe the Day of the Lord is the final three and a half years
The destruction of the first day of the millennial Day of the Lord is so drastic that it could not possibly be a 7-year, or even a 3.5-year, period. The dead will lay around the Earth. The number of men left will be so few that a child could write the number. Isa 10:19 says, "the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them." Every wall will fall in the worldwide earthquake (Eze. 38:18-21).
Dan. 12:1,2 shows that this day is like no other preceding day: "And at that time (when the False Prophet's reign ends, Dan. 11:45) shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, SUCH AS NEVER WAS SINCE THERE WAS A NATION EVEN TO THAT SAME TIME: AND AT THAT TIME THY PEOPLE SHALL BE DELIVERED (the Pre-Wrath Rapture, a one-day event), every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt."
The 1st day of the Millennium is like no other--ever. Jer 30:7 says, "Alas! for that day is great, so that NONE IS LIKE IT: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it."

Now to answer your e-mail:
> > 5) They come from a far country (USA is far from Iraq) from the end of heaven, even the LORD, AND THE WEAPONS OF HIS INDIGNATION (God is going to use Bush to destroy Iraq) TO DESTROY THE WHOLE LAND!
Heaven and Earth are two different places many many miles apart in this Solar System. The Lord is coming "from the end of heaven." "THE WEAPONS OF HIS INDIGNATION" are also coming "from the end of heaven," not from Earth. Jer 50:25 says, "The LORD hath OPENED HIS ARMOURY, AND HATH BROUGHT FORTH THE WEAPONS OF HIS INDIGNATION: for this is the work of the Lord GOD of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans."
> > 12) I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. The men are in Gog's army that is attacking Israel. Eze. 38:18-20 says, "it shall come to pass AT THE SAME TIME when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that MY FURY shall come up in my face. For in my jealousy and in the fire of MY WRATH have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence (paniym, face, i.e., the Sign of the Son of Man), and the mountains (i.e., asteroids, Rev. 8:8,10) shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and EVERY WALL (worldwide) shall fall to the ground."
The "fishes of the sea" will shake, because the "great mountain burning with fire" (the asteroid, Rev. 8:8) will fall into the Mediterranean Sea. (Zeph. 2:1-5 says, "Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired; Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day (one single day) of the LORD'S anger come upon you. Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid (i.e., raptured) in the day of the LORD'S anger. For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up. Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast (the Mediterranean sea coast)."
