Today, Ed and I have been married 56 years.
Hi Doves. Marilyn Agee has always held that Song of Solomon 2 verses 8-13 are prophetic and an indication that the rapture might be in the spring. I was just reading Song of Solomon in preparation for a sermon I will be delivering this Sunday and noticed something.
In verses 1-6 It is talking about Christs sustaining love and care for us.
Verse 7 is given a charge to the bride (O daughters of Jerusalem) not to stir up or awaken love until "It Pleases."
If you read further, Chapter 3 begins by talking about those who have waited but have not yet found their love. It sure sounds like our situation right now!
In verse 5 of chapter 3 it again repeats the charge to his bride (O daughters of Jerusalem) not to awaken love until "it pleases."
Starting in verse 6 it sounds like it is talking about the great and terrible day of the Lord - pillars of smoke, 60 valiant men all holding swords being expert in war.
Now, in verse 10b and 11 of chapter 3 there is yet 1 last charge to his bride (O Jerusalem) "Go forth, O daughters of Zion, And see King Solomon with the crown whith which his mother crowned him on the day of his espousals, the day of the gladness of his heart."
Interesting that on the third time, they were not told to be still and don't awaken Him.
Haven't completely put this all into perspective yet but it looks like there is a very significant model there to discover. Has anyone else worked with all of chapter 2 & 3 yet? Your brother in Christ
In Song 3:1, the foolish one left behind says, "I sought him, but I found him not." In the next verse, she repeats that forlorn refrain as if she can't believe it: "I sought him, but I found him not." Mt. 24:51 says that there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. The foolish believed. They called Christ Lord, but they didn't have enough oil of the Holy Spirit. They needed to take I John 1:9 to heart.
Son 3:4 says, "It was but A LITTLE that I passed from them, but I FOUND HIM whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go." The two Raptures are not very far apart.
Song 3:11 shows that the 2nd Rapture is on the day of the Coronation of Christ and the Marriage of the Lamb. It says, "GO FORTH, O ye daughters of Zion (i.e., the 144,000 Israelites of Rev. 7), and behold king Solomon (type of Christ, Son of David) with the CROWN wherewith his mother (i.e., Mary) crowned him in the day of his espousals (chathunnah, wedding), and in the day of the gladness of his heart." I also think it will be on Tishri 1, his birthday and the Feast of Trumpets.
In the following verses, the words "two," "twins" and "my sister, my spouse" reinforce the thought of two groups. Song 4:2 mentions "like a flock of sheep that are even shorn, which came up from the washing. This reminds us of Rev. 7:9, where they had washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb. We are the sheep, and Christ is the good Shepherd.
In 7:7, we read, "This thy stature is like to a palm tree (upright), and thy breasts to clusters of grapes." Each group is made up of numerous individuals. Grapes could be present from Pentecost to the vintage at the Feast of Trumpets. Thus, grapes can represent both groups. The 1st Rapture could be on Pentecost, or shortly thereafter at the time of firstripe grapes, the 2nd one on Trumpets. When the spies went into Canaan, they brought out one large bunch of grapes.
Resurrection is suggested by 7:9: "And the roof of thy mouth like (symbolic language) the BEST WINE (as at the wedding of Cana) for my beloved, that goeth down sweetly, causing the lips of those that are asleep (asleep in Jesus, I Thess. 4:13-17) to speak."
In Mat 26:29, Jesus said, "I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom" (i.e., in Heaven). Joh 2:1,2 says, "the third day there was a marriage in Cana (emulation, equal to, i.e., a type) of Galilee (circle, i.e., sphere, Heaven); and THE MOTHER OF JESUS WAS THERE." The type is good, for Mary will crown Jesus. "And both Jesus was called, AND HIS DISCIPLES, TO THE MARRIAGE."
The Second Coming is 7 months (Zeph. 2:2-5) after the Marriage of the Lamb, which is also the Day of God's Wrath. AFTER the marriage at Cana of Galilee (i.e., Heaven), Jesus "went down" to Capernaum (city of consolation, a city where Christ dwelt on Earth) (Jn 2:12). Agape
Well, before I answer about the 7 year timeframe for burning the weapons, let's address which war this is in. It is NOT after the war of Gog and Magog. It is after Armageddon, which is the LAST war before the Second Coming of Christ. As I explain it below, you will see how it scripturally fits in the Timeline.
Do you remember what I had written about the three weeks of Jacob's Trouble and the parallel with (what was - shall be)? In the Old Testament, we see Laban contract with Jacob for Rachel. In the first "Week of Jacob's Trouble - 7 years" Jacob works within a lied-to-agreement for the desire of Jacob's heart, Rachel. In 1993 we saw Laban/Arafat contract with Jacob/Israel for the desire of Israel's heart - PEACE. It was a lied to agreement, the Oslo Accords. Just as Laban lied to Jacob, knowing it was their custom to never have the younger daughter marry before the older....Arafat never intended to honor the agreement either - as proof the Palestinians have NEVER removed the clause in their Palestinian Charter that calls for the total destruction of Israel! However, this first "week of 7 years" is referred to as the seven good years, for there was the HOPE of achieving the desire of Rachel/Peace.
Then, in the Second Week of Jacob's Trouble, we see the beginning of 7 "bad years"..... Jacob is struggling to still earn the desire of his heart, but it is bitter. At the end of the first week &the start of the bad Week we watched as Ariel Sharon marched onto the Temple Mount and the Palestinians kicked off their Intifada - the Palestinian Uprising - the suicide bombers and shootings and terror began in all out earnest. ON THE VERY DAY WHICH BEGAN THE SECOND WEEK OF SEVEN BAD YEARS - ROSH HASHANA, 2000 - the second 7 years started. What is significant about this is we know that Scripture says "Jacob will be saved out of his trouble". We are now in that second week of Jacob's Trouble and we will see Jacob/Israel SAVED OUT OF IT! How? With the coming of the Messiah!!! Right now it is the ONLY thing that will bring true peace!
This second week of Jacob's Trouble corresponds perfectly with the ending of the "40 year generation that shall see all of these things and shall not pass, as did the first generation of Israel out of Egypt, which wandered in the wilderness until all those who were 20 and upward when they came out of Egypt were dead. THAT generation was not allowed to enter the promised land - but this generation, which began in 1967 with the reunifying of Jerusalem in the Six-Day War WILL indeed enter the promised land - the Kingdom of Heaven promised them long ago! Is it a coincidence that Israel had just turned 20 years old when the Six-Day War began, when they "came of age" and reunified Jerusalem for the first time in 2,000 years?
This was the benchmark that identified it as "the generation that would not pass till all things be fulfilled." This generation ends in June, 2007 --- that prophecy must be completely fulfilled before the Messiah comes. It will be. For shortly after this, "when summer is nigh", He will return and then on Rosh HaShana, 2007
> > Israel had just turned 20 years old when the Six-Day War began
Israel was only 19. The Six-Day War ended June 10, 1967, before Israel was 20 on May 14, 1968 (May 14, 1948 + 20 years = May 14, 1968). If she had been 20, she would have been counted as the generation that DIED in the wilderness, not the one that survived.
Mt. 24:32 says, "learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch (klados, scion broken off for grafting) is yet tender (apalos, the branch of the tree when full of sap; i.e., young, no more than 19 years old), and putteth forth leaves (Sinai, Gaza Strip, Golan Heights and West Bank), ye know that summer is nigh." The Six-Day War began June 5; summer began June 21.
> > We are now in that second week of Jacob's Trouble
I agree on the second 7-year period, counted from the ratification of the Oslo Accords on Tishri 1, 5754 (Sept. 16, 1993), or from the signing of the accords on Sept. 13, 1993. However, the Time of Jacob's Trouble is one literal day, when the False Prophet will "come to his end." It seems likely that it well be Tishri 1, 5768 (Sept. 13, 2007).
You and Phil seem to agree with me on this date. It looks to me as if it will be the first day of the millennial kingdom of Christ, even though Christ will not return to Earth for 7 more months (Eze. 39:12,13). I think the Coronation of Christ, the Marriage of the Lamb and the Judgment Seat of Christ will take place in Heaven that day. I expect the Day of God's Wrath on Earth at the same time the saints in Heaven are getting their rewards.
Rev. 11:16-18 says, "the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast REIGNED. And the nations were angry, and THY WRATH IS COME, and the time of the dead, that they should be JUDGED (at the Judgment Seat of Christ), and that thou shouldest GIVE REWARD unto thy servants the prophets, and TO THE SAINTS, and them that fear thy name, small and great; AND SHOULDEST DESTROY THEM WHICH DESTROY THE EARTH."
Re: the Day of Jacob's Trouble, Dan 11:45-12-2 says, "he (the False Prophet) shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas (Mediterranean and Dead seas) in the glorious holy mountain (temple mount); yet he (the False Prophet) shall COME TO HIS END, and none shall help him. And AT THAT TIME (i.e., the day when the False Prophet comes to his end) shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people (Israelites): and there shall be A TIME OF TROUBLE, SUCH AS NEVER WAS SINCE THERE WAS A NATION EVEN TO THAT SAME TIME: and at that time (the DAY of God's Wrath, 1st day of Christ's kingdom) thy people (Israelites) shall be delivered (malat, ESCAPE, i.e., in the Pre-Wrath Rapture), EVERY ONE ('ALL,' I Cor. 15:51,52) that shall be found written in the book (including the 144,000 Israelites of Rev. 7). And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake." This is the last "tagmati," rank, in the First Resurrection (I Cor. 15:23). All these things take place on one day.
Jer 30:7 says, "Alas! for that DAY is great, so that NONE IS LIKE IT (no other day is like that day, so it is one day): it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it" (by means of the Pre-Wrath Rapture). Also on Earth, the remnant of Israel will turn to the Lord and be saved in a day, one literal day (Isa. 66:8). Isa 66:8 says, "Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in ONE DAY? (yes) or shall a nation be born at once? (yes) for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children." It still looks like Sept. 13, 2007 will be the day that Israel will be attacked by Gog's army, and Christ will step in to save Israel. Then the fig tree will bring forth her fruit.
In our days, I have recognized the likeness of our days to the 7 good years and 7 bad years, as when Joseph was in Egypt, just as you and Phil have. Yet, if we are in the 7 BAD years, why are we not yet in the Tribulation proper? why hasn't the Rapture taken place? Jesus will receive the 7-sealed Title Deed of the Earth after the saints "out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation" are in heaven (Rev. 5:9). After that, the 1st seal will be broken to kick off the Tribulation.
I agree with both of you that we seem to be very close to the Rapture and the beginning of the Tribulation. We seem to be running out of time.
I recognize that Jacob (Israel) did not go down to Egypt until the 2nd bad year (Gen. 45:6). Since things that happened to Israel are our examples (I Cor. 10:11), let's apply these things to our times, starting when the Oslo Accords were ratified on Tishri 1, 5754 (Sept. 16, 1993) and breaking the second septet into 2 and 5.
5754 + 7 = 5761
5761 + 2 = 5763, the year we are in now
5763 + 5 = 5768, Tishri 1 is Sept. 13, 2007
That date seems to be more than coincidence. The Oslo accords were signed on Sept. 13, 1993 and ratified in Israel 3 days later, on Tishri 1, 5754.
Jacob didn't have to take any of his belongings to Egypt. He was to be given the best of the land when he arrived. Since Joseph was a type of Christ, the Saviour, and Jacob and the rest of his family went to live where Joseph lived, Jacob's journey seems to represent the Rapture. I hope it will be in 5763.
Can the 5 years be the shortened Tribulation? It looks as if anything over 3.5 years could work. The Beast of Rev. 13:2-10 rules 1260 days before the False Prophet comes to full power as the Great Tribulation, the time that is to be shortened, starts.
> > before I answer about the 7 year timeframe for burning the weapons, let's address which war this is in. It is NOT after the war of Gog and Magog. It is after Armageddon, which is the LAST war before the Second Coming of Christ.
The War of Armageddon is between Christ's army and Satan's army. Therefore, Armageddon is AFTER Christ returns, and the Second Advent is 7 months after the Gog and Magog War (Eze, 39:12,13).
The Day of Destruction is one literal day. Job 21:30 says, "That the wicked is reserved to THE DAY OF DESTRUCTION? they shall be brought forth to THE DAY OF WRATH."
Isa 13:6 says, "Howl ye; for the day of the LORD (the Millennium) is at hand (on the Eve of Trumpets); it shall come (at 6 PM as the first day of the Millennium arrives on the Feast of Trumpets) as a DESTRUCTION from the Almighty." The first day of the millennial Day of the Lord is the Day of God that begins the Millennium. We can tell that the Day of God is one literal day in 2Pe 3:12. It says, "Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the DAY OF GOD, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?"
The Day of God is the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Destruction when the 7 trumpet judgments hit Earth. It is the day the asteroids of Rev. 8:8,10 hit Earth.
Jer 17:18 says, "Let them be confounded that persecute me...bring upon them THE DAY OF EVIL, and destroy them with DOUBLE DESTRUCTION." Double destruction won't hit every day for several years. It will hit on one literal day. Joel 1:15 says, "Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD (the Millennium) is at hand, and as a DESTRUCTION from the Almighty shall it come." The first day will be the Day of double destruction.
Double destruction reminds me of Rev. 18:6-18. It says, "Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Therefore shall her plagues come in ONE DAY, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her."
Eze. 38:20 is the end of the war of Gog and Magog. It is the Day of God's Wrath, the DAY OF DESTRUCTION. The earthquake is worldwide. Every wall of every building falls. Civilization as we know it is destroyed.
Eze. 38:19,20 says, "in my jealousy and in the fire of MY WRATH have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; So that the fishes of the sea (the burning mountain impacts the Mediterranean Sea, Zeph. 2:4,5), and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and ALL THE MEN THAT ARE UPON THE FACE OF THE EARTH, SHALL SHAKE AT MY PRESENCE (paniym, face, i.e., the Sign of the Son of Man of Mt. 24:30), and the mountains (asteroids of Rev. 8:8,10) shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and EVERY WALL SHALL FALL to the ground." This doesn't happen every day for 21 years. It only happens on one literal day. Rev. 16:18,19 says of this day, "there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and THE CITIES OF THE NATIONS FELL."
Eze. 38 tells about the Gog and Magog War. Eze. 39:11-13 tells of Israel burying the bodies from the Gog and Magog War to cleanse the land for the return of Christ. The cemetery is for Gog's troops in the "valley of HAMONGOG (which means the multitude of Gog)."
Eze 39:11-13 says, "it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto GOG a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury GOG and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of HAMONGOG. And SEVEN MONTHS (Tishri 1 to Nisan 1 in a Jewish Leap Year, probably 5768) shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified (the Second Advent on the following Nisan 1, Eze. 29:19,21; Hos. 6:3), saith the Lord GOD."
> > Scripture says "Jacob will be saved out of his trouble". We are now in that second week of Jacob's Trouble and we will see Jacob/Israel SAVED OUT OF IT! How? With the coming of the Messiah!!! Right now it is the ONLY thing that will bring true peace!
The Pre-Wrath Rapture will save the Tribulation saints out of it before the asteroids impact Earth at noon on the Day of God's Wrath, Tishri 1, the Feast of Trumpets that begins the millennial Kingdom of Christ. In Heaven, that will be Christ's Coronation Day. Following that will be the Judgment Seat of Christ. All saints will be in Heaven then. Both Raptures will have taken place, one Pre-Trib, the other Pre-Wrath.
Rev. 11:16-18 says that the elders "fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art (on Coronation Day in Heaven and the Day of God's Wrath on Earth), and wast (at the First Advent), and art to come (in the future, i.e., at the Second Advent, which is seven months after the Day of God's Wrath); because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry, and THY WRATH IS COME, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged (at the Judgment Seat of Christ), and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, SMALL AND GREAT; and shouldest destroy (it's the Day of Destruction) them which destroy the earth."
> > This second week of Jacob's Trouble corresponds perfectly with the ending of the "40 year generation that shall see all of these things and shall not pass
I seems to be marked precisely. I think the exact beginning of the literal Day of Jacob's Trouble is when the Jewish 5767 passes away, and Tishri 1, 5768 (our Sept. 13, 2007), the Feast of Trumpets, begins. At the 1st trumpet, the hail of burning stones sets all the trees and all the green grass afire. At the 2nd trumpet, the asteroid, the "great mountain burning with fire" (Rev. 8:8) will be cast into the Mediterranean Sea.
> > "the generation that would not pass till all things be fulfilled." This generation ends in June, 2007
In April, before the Crucifixion, Jesus told the Pharisees, "Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon THIS GENERATION" (Mt. 23:36). That was spoken during Passover week, in the 1st month (Nisan) in 30 AD. The temple was not destroyed until Av 10 in 70 AD, so the last generation of Mt. 24:32-34 does not have to end in June.
From when Jesus came to Bethany on the Mt. of Olives on Nisan 8 in 30 AD to Av 10 in 70 AD was 40 years (30 AD + 40 = 70 AD) plus an additional 120 days (Nisan 8 to Av 10 = 120 days).
In our days, from Iyar 28, 5727 (June 7, 1967, when Israel took the temple mount) to Tishri 1, 5768 (Sept. 13, 2007, the Day of God's Wrath) is 40 years, plus an additional 120 days.
> > "the generation that would not pass till all things be fulfilled." This generation ends in June, 2007 --- that prophecy must be completely fulfilled before the Messiah comes. It will be. For shortly after this, "when summer is nigh", He will return and on Rosh HaShana 2007 He will be crowned Lord of Lords and King of Kings!
I think Jesus will be crowned in Heaven on Rosh HaShannah, Tishri 1, 5768 (Sept. 13, 2007). However, he will not return to Earth for the next 7 months during which the bodies in Israel are buried. He will return in glory, not catastrophe. I expect him to return to Earth on the 1st day of the Jewish Regnal Year, Nisan 1, 5768 (Apr. 6, 2008).
The date is set in Eze. 29:17. The first day of the first month is Nisan 1. Then v. 20 says, "In that day (Nisan 1) will I cause the horn (king) of the house of Israel to bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth (i.e., Jesus, the Word) in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD."
Hos. 6:3 agrees. It says, "the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth." He came as the former rain (Tishri 1) the 1st time. I believe he will return as the latter rain (Nisan 1), the 2nd time.
> > Now all of this, of course, necessitates believing one more thing - that there is NO 7-year tribulation as we have always thought! If we are in the Second Week of Jacob's Trouble, and Israel will be "saved out of it", and we are soon to be in 2003, and the SEcond Coming is in 2007, then there obviously is not 7 years left....we look to Scripture to see how this will be so. The answer is found in Jesus' Words that "In the Days of Noe, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be."...that means the correlation between the flood of Noah's day and the flood of judgment in Revelation is the same - ONE YEAR!....."one year in the life of Noah"......anniversary to anniversary!
It seems to me that the days of Noah apply to the Rapture. Mt. 24:39,40 says that they "knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then (tote, at the same time) shall two be in the field; the one (the wise virgin) shall be taken (paralambano, seized, taken up, removed), and the other (the foolish virgin) left."
Mt. 24: 44,45 says, "be ye (believers) also READY: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and WISE SERVANT....
Mt. 24:50,51 says, "The lord of that servant (the evil one) shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder (cut him off), and appoint him his portion (the shortened Tribulation) with the hypocrites (pretenders): there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." The next verse says, "Then (tote, at the same time) shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins." Those that were ready went with the Bridegroom. The foolish were left behind. Luke 12:46 agrees with Mt. 24:51. It says, "The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder (lit., cut him off), and will appoint him his portion (the shortened Tribulation) with the UNBELIEVERS."
> > ...we are coming into a critical window of time where these last years between now and 2007 will see the signing of the covenant with the ac shortly before Passover, the start of the two special witnesses 1260 day ministry, the pivitol midpoint where the ac BREAKS the covenant...would be on Rosh HaShana 2006 (counterfeiting Christ's return by commiting the abomination of desolation in the temple, declaring himself god), and the ONE YEAR, anniversary to anniversary (RoshHashana 2007 when the true Christ, Yeshua, returns) in which the broken covenant and the shortened days roll in with what Jesus called the Great Tribulation.......it all fits. AS PHIL ROGERS SAYS, IS IT ALL JUST A BIG COINCIDENCE?
That would make the Rapture before Passover. I hope you are both right about that, it can't be too soon, but Pentecost seems more likely when I read Isa. 18:3-7 and Song of Solomon 2:10-14. "Rosh HaShana 2006," will be Tishri 1, 5767 (Sept. 23, 2006).
Isa. 18:3-7 in the Stone Edition Tanach says, "All you inhabitants of the world and dwellers of the earth -- you will see when the banner (flag) is hoisted up upon the mountains (kingdoms), and when the shofar sounds you will hear! For thus said HASHEM to me: 'I will be at ease and I will look after My Place of Foundation; like crisp warmth after the rain, like a mist of dew in the heat of the harvest.' For BEFORE THE HARVEST, when the flower is finished and the bud turns to GRAPES APPROACHING HARVEST, He will cut down the young branches (i.e., fruitful ones) with pruning hooks AND he will remove and chop off all the twigs (i.e., that are not fruitful). They (i.e., the foolish virgins) WILL BE LEFT together for the bird of prey of the mountains (kingdoms) and for the beast of the earth (the False Prophet, Rev. 13:11); and the bird of prey will [feast in the] summer on them (summer follows the spring Pentecost), and every beast of the earth will [feast in the] winter on them.
"At that time (Pentecost?) an offering (the wave offering, the undulations of which suggest birds flying) will be brought to HASHEM, Master of Legions (Christ, YHVH of hosts) -- [namely,] the people that is dragged and plucked, and some of the people that inspired awe from the day it came into being and onward, the nation that is oppressed and trampled, whose land was ravished by rivers (nahar, floods, rivers, streams, including the sea); to the place [wherein rests] the Name of HASHEM, Master of Legions (Christ, the Redeemer, YHVH of hosts, Isa. 44:6) -- Mount Zion" (the heavenly one).
Pentecost, June 7, 2003 (Sivan 7, 5763) + 1260 days will be November 18, 2006 (Cheshvan 27,5767). Hmmm. Noah came out of the Ark on Cheshvan 27.
Let's re-think the 70th week of Daniel 9:27 a bit. Mid-week, the Satan-possessed False Prophet will sit in the temple "shewing himself that he is God" (II Thess. 2:4). Psa 55:20,21 says, "He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: HE HATH BROKEN HIS COVENANT. The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but WAR WAS IN HIS HEART: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords."
In the Stone Edition of the Tanach, Dan. 9:26,27 says, "his (the False Prophet's) end will be [TO BE SWEPT AWAY AS] IN A FLOOD (sheteph, outrageous, overflowing, i.e., when the asteroid hits the sea and a tsunami scours the land). Then, until the end of the war (Armageddon, that follows Christ's Second Advent), desolation is decreed."
Verse 27 (Stone) says, "He (the False Prophet) will forge a strong COVENANT with the great ones for one septet; but for half of that septet he will abolish sacrifice and meal-offering, and the mute abominations (idols) will be upon soaring heights, UNTIL EXTERMINATION (by the tsunami) as decreed will pour down upon the mute [abomination]."
At the same time that the idol is exterminated, the False Prophet will be deposed from office. Zech. 11:16,17 says, "I will raise up a shepherd (the foolish shepherd, v. 15) in the land (Israel), which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces. Woe to the IDOL SHEPHERD that leaveth the flock (he goes to Babylon)! the sword (the Sword of the LORD, the asteroid impact) shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened."
Woe, woe, woe! The asteroid of Rev. 8:8 will hit the Mediterranean Sea and the tsunami will exterminate the idol, maybe the desecrated temple too. Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain. The asteroid of 8:10 will obliterate literal Babylon in Iraq in "one hour" (Rev. 18:10) of "one day". Rev. 18:8 says, "Therefore shall her plagues come in ONE DAY, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her." This will be the Day of Destruction.
What about the timing of the Great Tribulation? Mt. 24:15 mentions the abomination of desolation (the idol). Therefore, Mt. 24:21,22 applies to the latter half of the 70th week of Daniel. It says (KJV), "For then (from the time that the idol is placed at the temple) shall be GREAT TRIBULATION, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days (the latter half of the 70th week of Dan. 9:27, also called the Great Tribulation) should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."
From Nov. 18, 2006 (end of the first 1260 days, if the Tribulation started this next Pentecost) to Sept. 13, 2007 is 299 days, less than a year for the False Prophet to be head of the One World Government.
> > Do you remember what I had written about the three weeks of Jacob's Trouble
I think the Time of Jacob's Trouble is one literal day. However, considering Jacob's three 7-year periods, why is it that Christ did not get the Bride of Christ at the end of the 7 good years, as Jacob got Leah. Do you think the fact that Jacob didn't go to Joseph until the 2nd year explains the delay? Maranatha and agape
